Linda and her team were absolutely wonderful for our hair and makeup! We had to replan our wedding in a short month due to hurricane Ian and we couldn't have asked for any better! My mother is a florist and did our flowers and Linda even had floral pins for us! Absolutely exceptional! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

All Around Wonderful Experience
Working with Linda was a great experience from the first contact. She responds quickly, even when out of the office. My wedding time was 9:30am and she was easily able to accommodate my early preparation time. Linda was only doing my hair and makeup, but she provided information and tips to my sister who was also getting ready at the same time for her hair and makeup.
I was undecided about what I wanted to do with my hair when Linda arrived. She was able to look at my dress, ask me some questions and quickly give me to two options that would well for me. The hairstyle I went with was something I never would have picked looking at wedding hair pictures, but was absolutely perfect and fit my style.
My family described my makeup as "glamourous. It looked stunning.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience.

I looked Perfect!
Linda did such an amazing job with my hair and makeup! I felt even more beautiful than I had hoped to on my wedding day! I'm someone who hardly ever wears makeup so it was really important to me to still feel like myself in full makeup. Linda absolutely nailed it! I literally felt like a fairy princess but without looking like a completely different person. I looked and felt amazing the entire day. Linda was such a joy to work with too. Wonderful Wedding Day with A Victorian Bride
What a wonderful experience! She was supportive, kind, fun, patient, warm, and best of all did an amazing job with my hair and makeup. A major major contribution to the magic that was my wedding day. It was windy on the beach but my hair stayed put! She built it around my borrowed hair comb which was very special. makeup was just right, not too much or too little, and she listened to my needs and requests. I am 67 and I looked 20 years younger in the photos.

I felt like a princess!
I hired A Victorian Bride Hair and Makeup on the referral from Florida Sun Weddings for my wedding hair and makeup. I did not get to do a test run as things were crazy. I do not regret my decision at all! Linda was amazing! She came to us in North Port. She arrived on time and prepared. She did 3 adults, 1 teenage, and 2 girls with flawless results. The 3 adults also had makeup done by her partner and we all looked amazing. While we were getting ready my aunt asked who had the can of hairspray to take with us as the wedding was on the beach. Linda stated we wouldn't need it. She was right! Our hair and makeup lasted the entire wedding and reception! There were no touch ups needed! I would highly recommend Linda and her team to anyone!

A more professional wedding expert you will not find
Linda was my number one choice and I did not expert my number one choice to be possible because we planned our wedding at the 11th hour. But Linda told me it would be an honor to participate in my special day and that sealed it for me. I brought a hefty load of drama for her to trudge through and she performed like a surgeon, accuracy, precision but also kindness and warmth. Linda navigated a language barrier with my mother-in-law, booming personalities in a tiny room, an ever-regressing timeline and probably the most anxious bride imaginable. In the end, everyone looked beautiful, was made to feel special and the compliments lobbed at the bride included words like stunning, gorgeous and Linda is the one to thank. She was patient, she was encouraging, she offered endless advice and reassurance and I could not have made it through the day without her. She has more than 20 years of experience in all facets of the wedding industry and my advice is work with people that know what they’re doing. Karli provided makeup services alongside Linda and was an absolute sweetheart and did beautiful, amazing work! She was a last-minute, welcome surprise, again in the 11th hour and I will be forever grateful that she could be a part of our special day. I wish only good things for these ladies in the future!

The makeup and hairstylist were amazing! As the bride, I couldn't Be happier. My hairstyle and makeup lasted for 12 hours (before I took it off) in the Florida 90 degree weather, humidity, and on a windy beach! Wow! I was so thankful! In addition, all 4 bridesmaids looked beautiful. The hairstyles they were looking for, were replicated perfectly. The makeup artist confirmed along the way that we were happy with what she was doing. Amazing work with WOW effect!
Since I have been making my own face every day for many years, I did not think I needed a makeup artist. In addition, I have very short hair and did not think that anybody can conjure something out of it. My family and friends were also scared that I would look like a doll after a professional make-up. BUT, everybody - including me - was very positively surprised, as Linda did an awesome job! There was the “WOW effect” in the mirror and in every face! My look with Linda’s makeup was very natural, my eyes were bright & shining, my short hair looked very feminine and I had real little flowers in my hair.
Linda got the best out of me visually! And as I’m 53 years old, this was a real challenge for any makeup artist ;-).
And Linda has a great personality, making you calm down, relax and just enjoy the treatment. It was the right decision to let her do my hair and makeup for this precious wedding day!

Linda Shepard came to our condo and spent all afternoon with me and my two step daughters doing our hair and makeup. She was so friendly and the results were amazing! We laughed alot and we teased that she wasn't a magician but my wedding pictures show otherwise! I felt so beautiful and still have my individual lashes she applied 4 days later! Linda was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish! When I very first contacted her to ask about hair & makeup services for my wedding, she was very responsive. She answered any and all questions that I had in a very timely manner. Even through email communication, Linda made sure I felt very comfortable with her. Linda & Allora took my wedding party in last minute. She was quick to respond to all my calls and messages and answer any questions I had. Traveling from Minnesota to Captiva I felt at ease knowing I had someone to do hair and make up onsite. Linda has such a caring personality she makes you feel like you have known her your whole life. Her assistant was just as sweet and caring! They both worked so hard and accomodated to everyone's different styles! They went above and beyond!! My hair stayed intact through all the heat Florida has! Not to mention make up stayed in place and didn't run through all the happy tears that were shed. Thank you again Linda & Allora for all your help and the wonderful job you both did!

Linda was amazing! She came to my wedding venue to do my hair and makeup. I showed her some pictures and she gave me suggestions and then made my ideas a reality! My makeup looked natural and beautiful, and it stayed put all day and night! She put long hair extensions in for me and I had beautiful beach curls that just flowed. I got so many compliments. She was very reasonably priced we just had a great experience! Thank you!

Linda was amazing! We had some issues with my mom's transportation but she waited for almost an hour for the veil to arrive so it could be placed correctly. She was spot on with the makeup that she did and was very respectful with my desire to have a 'natural' style makeup. It was very easy to get in contact with her and she just did an all around phenomenal job! My wedding wouldn't have been the same without her!

Linda was the first person I booked after choosing my location in Siesta Key. She was a TERRIFIC decision. Marilyn and Linda did all 8 of us (5 bridesmaids, me, and both mothers) and we couldn't have been more happy. The hair stayed perfect throughout the evening - my mom even left hers in an extra day and it was still flawless! Since we are not from the area, and Hurricane Irma hit at a very poor time, we were unable to do a trial. Was not a problem at all. I showed Linda my dress that morning, told her what I thought I wanted, and she went to work making my hair look better than I thought possible. (See picture!)
I'm not a make-up person, so I was a little hesitant with the fake lashes and wanted a very natural, almost naked look. Marilyn made me look gorgeous, and as my new husband said "You're still you."
You cannot go wrong with Linda and her team. She replied quickly via email AND via text, despite being without power during the hurricane. Amazing experience and I can't thank her enough! We haven't received our professional photos from Cat yet (we were just married October 21), but I attached two photos that were on my phone from the wedding to give you an idea how wonderful the service was!

Not being from the Sarasota area, I was a little nervous in trusting someone to apply my make up and to style my hair for my wedding day. My concerns were put at ease from the minute I met Linda for my hair and make up trial. She was very receptive to my vision of how I wanted to look on my wedding day. I provided her with a few pictures of inspiration and then I trusted the professional at work.
On the day of my wedding, Linda show up with Marilyn in tow. They were prompt and professional. What a convenience to have a glam team come to you!!! The skilled team got right to work on my bridal party. Linda worked her magic with our hair and Marilyn on our makeup. They worked in a timely and efficient manner. Marilyn customized our makeup, utilizing colors to compliment each member in the wedding party. Linda even asked what we were wearing to assist in a hair style that would work best.
My wedding party and I were all beyond happy with Linda and Marilyn's magic. I would highly recommend A Victorian Bride Hair & Makeup Design Team based on their skills and professionalism. Linda and Marilyn did hair and makeup for my wedding, which included 8 of us ladies! If you want to look absolutely PERFECT on your wedding day, book A Victorian Bride! I initially had a "trial" scheduled with Linda, but since we were a destination wedding and our flights were delayed, I had to cancel. Linda calmed my nerves and told me not to worry. Well, everything turned our perfect and everyone's hair and makeup looked amazing! Most of the girls had Pinterest photos and Linda took a couple looks at the photos and was able to recreate the look exactly. Marilyn applied makeup perfectly that looks amazing in photos and video (no cakey or white powdery stuff going on at all). A couple of the girls initially had only booked hair, but then asked if they could get their makeup done too, after they saw the other girls. We also got false eyelashes applied, and they were the cluster lashes, not the fake looking strips. All the girls looked beautiful!
You can trust A Victorian Bride on your special day because all they do is weddings and they do it so well! Thank you Linda and Marilyn!!!

Linda and Marilyn are simply amazing!! I have been in literally 12 weddings prior to my own (yes, I'm the real life 27 dresses) and I have never had my hair or makeup turn out this incredible. Linda made my up do exactly as I wanted and as in the picture I provided. Marilyn made my face so beautifully but naturally that I truly felt she enhanced my natural features without being overdone. Same comments for my bridesmaids and mothers - everyone looked stunning. You MUST get the eyelashes - they make your eyes just pop. They were both very welcoming and easy to talk to as well. Our wedding was on a Sunday, they traveled to the resort and did everything in my villa. How awesome is that?!? Very convenient. I cannot recommend them more highly. And their pricing is extremely reasonable. I wish I could hire them to do my hair and makeup every day.

I found Linda at last minute when my original hair/makeup artist had cancelled on me and I am so glad I did! Linda and Marilyn came the day of my wedding to do hair and make up. I felt so comfortable in their hands. They got everyone ready on time despite some hiccups in the schedule. Linda even came back before the reception to touch up make up to make sure everyone looked their absolute best. Linda was amazing to work with. Linda was FABULOUS. She did my hair and makeup and my mom’s makeup. She ended up doing some touch up on my mom’s hair and it made all the difference. We had a BALL getting ready. She came right to the hotel room, totally worth it. She calmed my nerves and had a great time. Her skills are out of this world. I have never felt so beautiful. I was so bummed to have to take off my makeup and take out my hair that night. She did individual false lashes to enhance my eyes, and I have never had these – they made all the difference. I didn’t even have a trial run with her. Only talked with her that day about my hairstyle, and I showed her a few pictures that I liked, and she blew it out of the park – it was perfect. I also enlisted her to help to voice her professional opinion with some family members that were expecting a veil and or flowers in my hair (that I didn’t want) and it totally helped to diffuse the situation. It wasn’t until the end of the night that I really appreciated her work. I looked exactly the same from when she got me ready 8 hours earlier. My hair and makeup were still on point. I was so happy I sent her another tip for that fact. My pictures came out great, I was never worried about my hair falling out mid-way through, or my makeup running. If you want a flawless, classic look that will wow your fiancé, and even yourself, choose Linda.

I can't say nothing but the most amazing things about Linda. She is absolutely wonderful and from the moment I met her I knew I was in great hands with makeup and hair style! She was so warm and friendly and turned the pictures of what I was wanting for my hair into my very own special style. The makeup was flawless and stunning. She was available even on a Sunday which was very hard to find. I called over 6 different salons and hairstyles and they all said NO to a Sunday bridal party. It was so amazing that she said YES to taking care of all my needs. She even comes out on location and made it such a simple a relaxing task. The hairstylist she brought along for my bridmaids was amazing as well. HIGHLY recommend to anyone!! Very thankful she was apart of my special day!

As a bridemaid for Robin, I was a bit nervous about how I would look after 2 strangers got hold of me. I gave Linda free reins on the hair and warned Marilyn I flush easily. I felt my look was totally me and enhanced my natural beauty. I left my hair up after the reception and wore it home in the up do. All that was not perfect was bangs. Nobody noticed that I could tell! And we 3 girls had such fun with these 2 artists! I highly recommend them if you want to feel gorgeous.

Linda was a delight to work with! She made me feel super comfortable from the moment I contacted her. On the day of the wedding she did my hair and make up to perfection. Everything looked beautiful and exactly how I wanted it. I would definitely use her in the future for any events.

Linda is absolutely amazing! She made me feel like a princess and a movie star.. I looked like I could be on the cover of a magazine! ! She's funny, sweet and down to earth. Linda and her team of talented women were AMAZING! Despite the fact that Linda had injured herself just before the wedding and between our schedules I was unable to have a trial run of my hair and makeup, Linda assured me everything would be perfect. They ALL came to our beach house the morning of the wedding! They arrived on time, they were prepared and very professional and super friendly! They calmed me down when I was getting nervous and anxious and they made sure I ate breakfast and relaxed (especially considering I was running on 3 hours of sleep!) They were SO accommodating - Even to the point where they allowed my (now) husband to drop in last minute and get some airbrush makeup over his eye from a little scuffle he had with one of the groomsmen earlier that morning (Yes, you heard me correctly! Hence why I only had 3 hours of sleep! haha) I am so glad I trusted Linda and proceeded to have them do the hair and makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, my mother and mother-in-law and my grandmother! These are the most talented, kind and wonderful women!

Linda (the owner) and her team did such a great job on our hair and make-up! We had a package that had pricing set for bride + 5. We spent 6 hours in a room getting ready and it was as if Linda and her assistant had been friends with us for years. The conversation was great and it was never uncomfortable. They were open to our requests and worked to make us comfortable. I don't wear lots of makeup (except mascara), so I was worried that i would look too made up. After my trial, that worry was long gone. My bridesmaids and I get so many compliments on our hair and make-up at my wedding. I definitely recommend A Victorian Bride!

Linda drove an hour to my wedding location and did a fantastic job on doing my two junior bridesmaids hair and did a fantastic job. She then did my hair and makeup exactly as I had imagined it to look. It was gorgeous and flawless. She knows exactly what she's doing and is a complete natural artist at knowing how to make " me " the bride feel the most beautiful I have ever felt. Which is what every bride wants for Her wedding... Right?? Great job Linda! I thought you did an awesome job! Thanks!

Linda and Marilyn did an excellent job on hair and makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mom. Linda went above and beyond by providing free help to those who attempted doing their own hair and even tried not to charge for doing my grandmother's hair, which she was not originally scheduled to do. Linda also helped my mom and I figure out tips for other vendors, and both women were great about having to change bridal rooms part way through the day. Would definitely recommend them!

Once Linda arrived and greeted me with a warm hug I knew she would be perfect. She was kind, easy to talk to, and professional. My hair and make up was absolutely flawless and was exactly what I had envisioned. I LOVED how blue my eyes looked!! I received endless compliments from friends and family about how radiant I looked. My makeup lasted through several tears, hugs, and smiles while my hair withstood the wind on the beach. Since bridal parties usually have to spend so much time in a salon on their wedding day it was so relaxing being able to rest in our room with a glass of wine and visit with friends and family. Not having to worry about driving to get our hair and makeup done with the unpredictable traffic on the island was an added bonus. All around amazing experience. Thanks again Linda!

I just wanted to thank you and Marilyn for doing a terrific job with our hair and makeup for the wedding on Saturday. Everything came out so beautiful. I've only seen a few pictures so far, but it all looks lovely! I appreciate your patience and flexibility with our changing schedules. I also appreciate you doing my niece's hair. She felt so special and loved her hair, so I can't thank you enough for helping to make the day special for her as well.

Linda Shepard and her make-up artist, Marilyn, provided a fabulous experience for my daughter and her wedding party. They both have great personalities and even better skills. Don't let the name "Victorian" get in the way. Linda can do any kind of hair style you like and do it well on any kind of hair. Marilyn is a true artist with make-up and even made this old lady look good! If you want to relax and have fun on your wedding day AND look really good (and who doesn't?), please choose A Victorian Bride. You will definitely have NO regrets.

Linda was fab at organising my wedding hair and make-up, very prompt with replies to e-mails. Jane was our hair and make-up artist on the day and we were all thrilled with her work! She was lovely and made us feel so relaxed. I loved my hair and had compliments throughout the day on my eye make up :)
They make everything so easy because they come to you rather than you having to go to the salon. I would highly recommend!

Linda did my hair and makeup for my wedding on Siesta Key. I had not selected hair style in advance and left it to Linda to suggest a style. She did an amazing job and gave me a classic and detailed upstyle that suited my dress perfectly. Her makeup was also amazing and looked great in the photos. Neither hair or makeup budged an inch despite some wind on the beach and even a little rain. Linda was also kind enough to come back to my hotel before the ceremony to help me into my lace up dress! She is such a warm and friendly person. Any bride lucky enough to be styled by Linda will look picture perfect!

Linda did my hair and make-up on September 6, 2014 for my anna maria island beach wedding and everything was perfect. I originally wanted to go with the airbrush due to it being on the beach and she assured me her make-up would be good. The tears during my ceremony had no effect on the beautiful work she performed. The 4 of us all had hair and make-up, she showed up on location on time and completed everyones look in the time frame she suggested. It was so much fun laughing with them and it really helped put my nerves to rest. I recommend her to any bride looking for hair and make-up on the special day.

Not having my hair styled or make-up applied on location before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Linda arrived with all of her supplies and greeted me with a big hug. She spent over 2 hours with me and we visited the entire time. She immediately put me at ease and quelled my nerves as I felt like I was talking to an old friend. I was leary about having a stylist other than my own style for hair for my special day, but I couldn't have been happier! By looking at pictures, she was able to capture the look I was going for. My make-up was breathtaking! I didn't even dream that it could look that natural. I only wish that I lived closer so that I could have Linda style me for all special events! Linda is a must have for your wedding day!

My hair and makeup were absolutely perfect!! Linda arrived on the scene and immediately began performing her magic. She is so friendly, personable, and talented. My daughter and I both had our makeup and hair done and we were both BEYOND satisfied.
My wedding day was sunny and 94 degrees and our makeup and hair held perfectly all day and even during beach pictures and the reception.
Thanks to Linda, my wedding day was worry free. She promptly returned all phone calls, answered questions, and was so flexible and professional. Without any hesitation, I recommend A VICTORIAN BRIDE! ~ Jan ~

Linda was charm to work with. She quickly responded to emails and was very helpful. Being a destination bride I was nervous. On the day of the wedding Linda and Jane were prompt and got to work quickly. Linda helped calm my nerves by chatting and keep us entertained. My mom and friend looked amazing. My hair and makeup turned out exactly how I imagined and some. I almost cried when I looked in the mirror. My makeup lasted all night even in the heat which really impressed me. I truly recommend Linda and her team for makeup and hair. It was pleasure to have them share in our special day!! Thanks again Linda and Jane:)

Linda & Marilyn did an amazing job on the hair & makeup for myself, bridesmaids and moms!!! We started the process early but we all had fun talking and listing to music. Everyone looked so beautiful!!! Since I do not wear makeup normally my husband was a little concerned about my wedding day makeup, but when he saw me, he was absolutely amazed. My hair looked beautiful all day long and definitely held up very, very well!!! Linda did a great job combining the look of two hair styles that I liked! I could not have been happier with Linda & Marilyn's work.

Linda and Marilyn were amazing! Linda did my three bridesmaids hair, our 6 1/2 year old's hair and my hair. Marilyn did make up for myself and two bridesmaids and my mom! All the girls looked amazing! I don't typically wear makeup or do my hair, and my now husband was initially unsure of needing someone to do make up and hair the day of the wedding, but after he saw us all, he was blown away!! Absolutely amazing!

Where do I begin. WOW!!!!! Linda and her team are just AMAZING. The hair and make-up they did on me and 6 others for my wedding day was just beautiful we all looked gorgeous. Linda is so easy to work with and she makes you #1 anything and everything you want she provides. Linda came directly to my hotel room so we didn't have to worry about a thing. Linda was so easy to communicate with she was always available by email or phone. You want to be made to look like a super star call Linda you will walk away amazed just like I did.

Outstanding service!!! Victorian Bride exemplifies elegance in style and grace with the most expertise competence. Linda did amazing work and was absolutely wonderful to spend time with, particularly given some unforeseen challenges I faced before meeting with her (which had nothing to do with her, just life ~ yet her quality of empathetic responsiveness reduced my own stress). She provided a high quality of interpersonal relations beautifully matched by her artistically enchanting ideas congruent with her work. She is very flexible, fun and fully accommodating. I want to thank Linda and her staff from A Victorian Bride for everything on my wedding day. I had a destination wedding in Florida on Sanibel Island on the beach October 19, 2013. They came to me which was such a nice convenience. They did my hair and makeup as well as my bridesmaids and my mom. They were very professional and a lot of fun. My husband told me that he had never seen me look more beautiful than that day!!!! I can't tell you how happy that made me. Thank you again Linda for everything you guys did for all of us that day.

She made me feel confident in choosing her while planning my destination wedding in Anna Maria Island. My Husband and I had been planning from the day we were engaged to get married in Venice, Florida. It didn't seem like it would be an easy task getting married abroad, how would we sort it all out? Eventually we found Sun Weddings and they helped us a great deal. When I asked about hair and make-up they suggested Linda at 'A Victorian Bride' so I got in contact via email. Linda was very quick to reply to all of my messages, she confirmed everything with me, and took everything that I said into consideration. She made me feel at ease with everything and made sure everything was in place. On the day of the Wedding Linda turned up, very happy and friendly. She fitted right in with everyone, and started on my hair. I felt comfortable with Linda straight away. She made me feel very calm about what was ahead, and treated me as if I was an old friend. She also got on very well with my two photographers, the Villetto's (also highly recommended!) Linda also did my Mum's make-up even though I hadn't booked my Mum in. My Mum doesn't wear a lot of make-up and she was worried, but when Linda had finished Mum said she was very pleased, Linda had listened to what my Mum had said and hadn't put too much make-up on, but just enough to make my Mum look more special than normal. When I looked in the mirror after Linda had finished my hair, and my make-up (I had the works - curlers in, false eye-lashes - it was great to be pampered!) I was astounded, Linda had make me look completely wonderful, I felt like a princess! Linda then even helped me and Mum get me into my dress. It was brilliant.
Linda/ A Victorian Bride, comes very highly recommended in my book. She was, professional, friendly and did an absolutely amazing job. If I need make-up or hair done again when I am in Florida, she will be the lady I call!
