  Kim Adams was the greatest!! She was extremely thorough and helpful for my sister's wedding. She knew everything and was personable and professional! I'm flying her to NJ for my wedding!!

  We had a rehearsal dinner , it was amazing. Kimberly was beyond terrific and her and the staff we amazing. I would use them time and time again. The food was amazing. and they made our event a wonderful experience. We were so blessed to have them .

  Wow, there are no words to express how much we loved this venue! Kimberly and her staff were amazing! We knew from the moment we walked out of our first tour of UHM that it was going to be the perfect place for our special day! It was such a fun and unique venue with the exact layout/flow that we needed! It was such a relief to know that we could stay in one place for the day- but without having to reuse or turn a room! Our wedding day was so magical and we owe it to Kimberly and UHM for going above and beyond throughout the whole process!

  We could not have been more thrilled with the Upcountry History Museum or Kimberly! It was perfect for our size (200 guests) and the flow was great. We still get compliments--people loved looking at the exhibits during the reception. Also loved that we could bring our own caterer (shout out to Good Life Catering, they're fantastic). Would choose it again in a heartbeat!

  The Upcountry History Museum is the perfect wedding ceremony and reception space. It is large enough to accommodate big crowds, while it is intimate enough for small crowds. We had about 100 guests in attendance and couldn't have been more pleased; there was space for our guests to walk around and look at the exhibits, but you never felt separated from the event. It also doesn't hurt that many local vendors have worked at the UHM before and are extremely comfortable with the space. Kimberly Adams, if you have the chance to work with her, is the most effective coordinator a bride could ask for. She was on top of the timeline, organized and communicated with our vendors, and most importantly she made it possible for us to enjoy our day. I would recommend the UHM and Kimberly any day!

  Where do I even begin. The venue was absolutely the best! It was mostly an out of town wedding so it was great for the guests to learn a little bit of SC history while dancing the night away! If you are going to get married here you would be foolish not to have Kim Adams as your wedding coordinator. I don't even know where to begin. Not only is the woman an absolute wedding phenom she is a great friend and someone you truly will enjoy working with. She knows her vendors and she knows her museum. She helps with everything from layouts to decoration ideas to helping you pick out table clothes. There isn't anything is woman cannot handle. From the minute my mom and I toured the venue and talked with Kim we were sold. After every meeting with Kim I always felt more and more relaxed and confident that my wedding would be exactly what I wanted. Kim is SO prompt with emails and phone calls which was awesome when you are trying to get questions answered! My wedding would not have been what it was without her guidance and knowledge throughout planning process. If you are looking for a unique venue in Greenville or a FANTASTIC, AWESOME, DOWN TO EARTH, GENUINE, NO NONSENSE KIND OF GAL then Kim Adams is definitely your go to person. Seriously it was the best decision I ever made throughout my entire wedding planning process!

  My daughter's wedding reception was at the museum. Kimberly was so helpful in our planning and gave suggestions for several services that we still needed, even making phone calls for us. The museum has so much there already, that we didn't feel the need to have lots of decorations.

  The UpCountry History Museum was a fabulous venue to work with. They were so willing to cater to our needs and help us out in any way possible. Having only a limited window to set up made us think we were going to be crunched for time, but the museum allowed us the opportunity to work extra hours in the basement to ensure we would be ready for our event. Our students loved having their Junior/Senior Prom at the UpCountry History Museum. It is definitely a venue we will return to in the future.

  The UpCountry History Museum was a fabulous venue to work with. They were so willing to cater to our needs and help us out in any way possible. Having only a limited window to set up made us think we were going to be crunched for time, but the museum allowed us the opportunity to work extra hours in the basement to ensure we would be ready for our event. Our students loved having their Junior/Senior Prom at the UpCountry History Museum. It is definitely a venue we will return to in the future.

  My husband and I had our wedding reception at the UHM and it had to be, hands down, the best choice we ever made in the process of planning our wedding.   They were amazing. I go married there in October. Kimberly, the person in charge of rentals, was so helpful. Every little question I had I could just call and get an answer immediately. The museum is an absolutely unique place to get married and it fit me and my husband perfectly. I can’t say how wonderful the night was and just how memorable.

  If you are looking for a quaint and unique venue, Upcountry History Museum is your place! My now husband were very particular when it came to booking a reception venue, we didn't want a ballroom or a banquet hall or anything cookie cutter so I stumbled on the website for the museum and was blown away by pictures of wedding receptions held there. In fact, it was the only venue we looked it. The staff there is over the top helpful! Kimberly, the event coordinator, is a gem. I actually booked her to be my reception coordinator and couldn't have asked for anyone better. She was super woman and will move mountains to make sure you have the wedding reception of your dreams. I can't say enough good things about the Upcountry Museum and their staff. One word of advice, do chose vendors that have worked in the space before! It can be a tad tricky especially since it is open to the public until 5pm on Saturdays.

  If I wanted my reception to be in Greenville SC, I would not have it any other place!! I recently had my reception there, and people are still calling me talking about how amazing this location was! I had visitors from California, Ohio, Chicago, Atlanta, North Carolina, Washington DC, and more, and they have all said this location was the most beautiful and unique location they have every been to. I could not be happier, and this location is AMAZING!!

  I loved having our wedding and reception at the Upcountry History Museum. The front staircase is beautiful and the rest of the museum has plenty of room for guests. They also provided their own rental tables, which saved us some money along with their already reasonable cost. Kimberly was very responsive to any questions. The only things to consider would be that not all guests will fit in one room to eat during the reception, not an issue for us but might be for some. Also you can't start set up until 4. That worked well for us too since we were doing everything in the evening, but might sway some future brides. Such a fun venue!

  The Upcountry History museum is a beautiful and unique venue for weddings and receptions! It provides a wonderful backdrop for a ceremony and plenty of space for reception dining and entertainment. The downtown setting and beautiful landscape outside the museum was excellent for pre-wedding photography! The staff is extremely helpful and courteous! Would highly recommend this venue!

  Thank you so much for your review! I know the 5pm museum setup time can seem a little inflexible. By letting the vendors stage and prep in the basement level as early as 10am, we strive to alleviate some of the pressure!
