It was a dream!

Working with Dan was amazing! I told him my vision and he took care of every single detail to make it come to life from colors, to flowers, to chairs, to up lighting, candles, etc. He cared about every single detail and took it off my plate to worry about. He worked around my schedule to make everything happen. He also worked directly with my vendors so I did not have to be the middle man for communication (PS I didn’t have a wedding planner!). The decorations made the Church and reception room an absolute dream!

And his wife is so sweet, supportive, and all around amazing herself!

Beautiful Wedding

We called Dan when we decided to have our wedding in Gainesville. We wanted small but beautiful and elegant. Dan provided us with everything we wanted and it all seems so effortless and seamless. We could not have asked for more. I would use Dan again and again…but I am now out of daughters.

Dan is the flower man!

Dan collaborated with us at every step in the wedding planning process. He helped us find most of our other vendors (which were all top fabulous). Dan’s attention to detail made for a spectacular, romantic evening. The flowers were stunning too. I got so many compliments on the bouquet and table arrangements. Flowers were the most important element for me and Dan didn’t hold back with his creativity and incorporating vibrant hues to match my vision.

Amazing, very prompt and extremely professional

Dan was so patient with me and very willing to accommodate me with a few minor changes. He was helpful to my entire wedding party even going the extra mile to help my husband tie his bow tie. Dan is extremely professional and would highly recommend him for any special event

My Wedding Dreams were Made Into Reality!

Wow! Very, very happy with how my daughter's wedding rehearsal, ceremony and reception turned out. Dan helped with the planning, floral and decoration...and moral support. Yes, I did have a moment.
The wedding was a mix of elegance, theme and country. Dan exceeded our expectations. How could elegance, a theme and country all work together? Beautifully.
There were so many details, I could not have done this without him.

I got married October 16, 2016 at The Palencia Club in St Augustine. Dan and his team did an awesome job, words are not enough to express how happy hubby and i were when we saw how Dan transform the outdoor ceremony and the indoor for the reception. It was magical. Dan Hathcock along with his crew from Unforgettable Events is hands down the best of the best. My daughter's wedding décor was magical. Every guest that I talked to was effusive about how exquisite the room looked with the flowers, linens and the plethora of special touches that only Dan does so well. Guests from all over the country and Europe mentioned that this was the most beautiful wedding that they have been seen and it was!

Dan did an outstanding job with our Wedding. The ceremony was just beautiful, elegant exactly what I was looking for. AMAZING! Dan and his team made my dream wedding a reality. I came into our first consult with a lot of pictures of exactly what I wanted. He did that and more. When I first saw the ceremony and reception setup I cried, because it was exactly what I wanted. Everything looked exactly as I had imagined, if not better. Dan is beyond friendly and makes you feel like family from the beginning. He makes you and your event feel special. One of my favorite things about using this company, was that you can do your rentals and your flowers all in one. Which takes out one less vendor aka stress of dealing with so many people! If I ever need to plan another event I will definitely be going back to Unforgettable Events.

I had some trouble initially choosing which company to go with, but Dan assured me that I made the right choice. When I walked in to the church ceremony and my reception, I knew without a doubt that I did. His work is simply incredible!! Everything turned out so much better than I imagined!! A lot of things were rough through my planning, but Dan came through with my decor and flowers! I literally cried when I saw my bouquet for the first time!! What an amazing experience working with Dan and his team at Unforgettable Events. The professionalism and knowledge made the planning so much easier. Dan listened to all of my ideas and showcased a night that was beyond my most beautiful dreams. He and his team brought together everything perfectly. What was so nice is that we did not have to have meeting after meeting to go over the details. He understood and he made it happen. He even designed a bar (19ft long) at my venue because there was not one to fit our needs in existence! Dan took care of everything and no one walked in the room without gasping at the ambiance he and his dream team had created. They took care of: floral arrangements, tables, chairs, linens even lighting to name of few - he even worked directly with the caterer to ensure that the food was displayed in the best way. He is a gem and I would be honored to work with him on another event.

Dan and the Unforgettable Events team are absolutely amazing! I knew from the beginning that I could trust his direction and valued his imput throughout the process. I had an idea of how beautiful our event was going to be, but the first time I saw the reception room I was in utter shock! He absolutely exceeded my very high expectations...every detail was magazine worthy! Things I never even thought of (like the cake table) were elaborately and meticulously designed. I never would have imagined having a wedding like I did and that is thanks to Dan and his vision. My husband and I used Unforgettable Events for our wedding and Dan is fantastic! My husband and I had a general idea of what we were looking for in regards to decorations for our ceremony and reception but Dan really made our ideas come to life. He gave us numerous options and suggestions during our consultation and when the wedding day came, he made sure every detail was perfect and tied into our whole overall theme. There wasn't one thing that we would have changed. Both the ceremony and the reception were absolutely perfect. All of our guests (and everyone who has seen our wedding pictures) has said the decorations look like something out of a story book.

In addition to the quality of the work done, Dan gave us very reasonable prices. We had a specific budget and he was willing to give us everything we wanted (plus more) within that price range. Not many decorators would consider changing their prices or would be willing to do as much as Dan did within our budget. Unforgettable Events delivered exactly what we envisioned within our price point and everything turned out amazing.

Overall, I would recommend Dan and Unforgettable Events to anyone and everyone. They really made our wedding day perfect.

Dan is amazing. It was like he crawled in my brain and executed exactly what I was dreaming of. His flower arrangements are to die for. Literally the best money ever spent. Dan was amazing. He came to Orlando from Gainsville several times to meet with me, continued to do practice floral runs until he was sure I was 100% happy, and probably reassured me on the phone a dozen times! When I saw our ballroom the day of our wedding I was speechless. It was amazing. He did the lighting, draped our ballroom, and did all of our linens and flowers. All my guests commented that it was the most beautiful room they have ever seen. However Dan did not just help with decor, he helped me with everything. I had a wedding planner, however she was very disappointing, but Dan stepped up and took care of everything. He went way beyond his responsibilites to make me happy!

Words can't truly describe how fantastic Dan and his team are! They made all of my dreams come true for my October wedding. They were so great and really helpful with maintaining the limited budget that we had to work with, they made every penny count and made it feel like an extravagant event. its been two years since my wedding day and friends and family are still talking about how beautiful and luxurious it was. Unforgettable Events by Dan Hathcock is a phenomenal company. I shared my visions with Dan and he ran with them. He provided us with a wedding beyond our largest dreams. Everything was so elegant; there was no detail that was missed. Dan obviously strived for perfection because that is exactly what we saw and felt. Our guest are still raving about our wedding, saying how lovely and elegant everything was. We worked with Dan and Barbara and these are two of the nicest and most caring people. Dan and his team were absolutely EXCELLENT to work with!! My wedding decor turned out even more beautiful and perfect than I could have imagined. Dan took my pictures and ideas and completely brought them to life! He knew what I was imagining before I could even figure it out. I cannot express how creative Dan and his team are. Dan transformed an ordinary room into a fairy tale wedding reception for my daughter. He is talented, easy to work with, honest and creative. He gives 150% of his time and creativeness to the event. He is worth every penny. I cannot recommend him enough!

In describing Unforgettable Events in one word, I'd say the company is AWESOME!!!!!
Where do I begin? I got married in Ponte Vedra, Florida, right outside of Jacksonville so I worked with Connie out of the Jacksonville office. Connie is a wonderful person with a fantastic personality. She genuinely cares about what she does as well as her clients. I started visiting Connie for my consultations during the Summer of 2011. She listened very carefully as I explained my vision for my wedding. She was very helpful and provided great suggestions/alternatives.
Connie was always available when I needed her (even if I had to email her in the middle of the night, she would generally respond promptly). We had several tastings with various caterers and through it all Connie was determined to find the right caterer for us! And she did (see my review of Carefree Catering).
On the day of my wedding, I walked into our venue (Crosswater Hall at Nocatee) and was completely blown away! What Connie and the team had created was simply awesome! Everything from the amazing white bar that glowed in the back to the beautiful 4 ft table centerpieces!!! They completely transformed the space into a beautiful, lavish wedding reception!! They paid attention to ALL of the small details that I'm sure many others would have overlooked.
I cannot say enough postitive things regarding Dan Hancock's team (Connie out of Jacksonville was my contact person). This is a very professional company that I would recommend to anyone.
If you are a soon to be bride and are searching websites as I did a few months back, looking for the right event company, I tell you hands down,this is definitely a great company to work with. You will not be stressed out at all!!!

In the early stages of our planning, we had lots of inspiration photos from the internet and magazines but had no clue of how to bring our vision to reality (and within our budget). We were planning our South Beach wedding from out of state and were so fortunate to discover Unforgettable Events. We made one trip down to Florida several months before our wedding, where we were finally able to meet with Dan and Barbara in person. We clicked right away! They put such care and love not only into the brilliant design work, but also into each and every interaction. It felt like we had been friends already for a long time.

To make a long story short - the flowers, huppah, linens, lighting, etc. etc. for our wedding ceremony and reception were simply BREATHTAKING. Barbara and Dan brought our vision to reality and then some. They were an absolute dream come true to work with, made the entire day seamless and stress-free for my wife and I, and we would recommend them 100%.

WOW! What can I say???!!! Dan truly creates the MOST UNFORGETTABLE EVENT EVER! I have been to many of Dan's creations and always said to myself "when my daughter gets married Dan will be there to create it all!!" I was so blessed to have that day arrive. He did a truly amazing job at creating the perfect atmosphere even under weather conditions!! He is truly artistic and creates the most beautiful atmosphere for each and everyones tastes and desires! Dan and his team were wonderful! He did a beautiful job with all of my decor and flowers and I could not have been happier. Our ceremony ballroom initially was not the most beautiful room and Dan and his team completely transformed it into a beautiful set up. From the flowers to the linens Dan did a fabulous job and I would certainly recommend him! He became a part of the family. Thanks Dan! : )

Dan and his team turned my dream into a reality. It was absolutely stunning. Dan talked to me on the phone all of the time, and had a wonderful way of always easing my nerves. Dan of Unforgettable Events did an amazing job with the flowers and decor at my wedding ceremony and reception! He created beautiful bouquets for me and my bridesmaids, and for the ceremony he provided floral arrangements as well as an arbor with flowers and greenery. Guests were "wow"ed in the ballroom by the elegant ceiling draping, the stunning centerpieces, and the overall atmosphere he created through lighting touches, candles, and floral decor.

Dan is truly an artist who can help you create your vision. When I first gave him my ideas for decor, he and his assistant went over the top suggesting ideas for how to create the vision. However, being on a far more limited budget than he first proposed, we weren't sure we could afford his services. However, he came down to meet us in the middle, keeping the key elements of the decor while cutting the proposal in half! His decor transformed our wedding space into something truly unique, and it was so nice to deal with just one vendor for the flowers, lighting, and decor.

Whether you want over the top decor or something in between, Dan will be able to create it. I loved what he did for my wedding. The one suggestion I would have is to be clear about your wants and vision - because he is an artistic type, his vision may not match exactly with yours unless you communicate it to him. He was flexible and receptive to our suggestions for change.

Dan and his staff made our wedding beautiful. He has a very creative vision but also listened to my thoughts and ideas. Most impressive though was that they were able to create a beautiful ceremony in a very short period of time when Plan A was abondonded last minute and brought inside due to rain. You can tell Dan really has a passion for what he does and enjoys creating beautiful decor for any event of any size.

Experienced decorator

Dan did all the decorations and flowers for our wedding. Our decorations were fairly simple, but he did exactly what we wanted. Because Dan is also a wedding coordinator, he is very knowledgeable about what will look good and what won't, which made him great to work with. I would recommend meeting with him in person or talking about everything over the phone. It's a lot easier than email, especially if you need to change anything after coming up with the initial proposal. I changed things around a few times and he was very accommodating, which was great. The most important thing to him was making sure everything looked just how I wanted it.

He is very good at what he does, he is very professional and you will get exactly what you have discussed with him. it is easy to get a hold of him via phone or email and he is flexible about changes. his services can be a bit pricey though, but better safe than sorry when it comes to an event like a wedding, which is a once in a lifetime thing.

Unexpected

We booked unforgettable events with the owner Dan for our wedding on September 22,2018. Planning the wedding started out great then we had issues with money but he worked with us. After we had issues with him far as not returning phone calls or text , not showing up to the last meeting. But he made up for all of this. the wedding turn out to be beautiful it was UNEXPECTED.

The flowers were beautiful but a few items requested were left out. My flower girl did not have flowers and my flowers were very small compared to the price paid for the bouquet. The wedding venue and church flowers were stunning. The dinner table flowers were wonderful just not able to be given away without having to get "to go" containers from the venue.

We had Unforgettable Events do the florals for our wedding because our venue included one centerpiece per table (up to $50 value) from them. We figured it made sense to have them to the rest of our florals as well to ensure continuity. We also added on quite a bit to the centerpieces and added additional pieces (at our cost). I reached out to Dan quite a few times to discuss details. We met with him once, and I emailed him some photos. Dan was almost impossible to get in touch with in the weeks preceding our wedding; perhaps he felt that we weren't important as our venue was paying for a portion of our decor. Dan was NOT there on the day of our wedding. Instead he had an EXTREMELY rude assistant building the florals. My bridal bouquet was beautiful, but none of the other bouquets were the size we had discussed (I paid for 10 inch, they were mostly 8 inches). The pomander for our flower girl was about 4 inches in diameter, when we had discussed (and in writing) that it was to be 8 inches and look similar to my flowers. It had completely unique flowers on it and didn't blend with any of the other bouquets. The florist was extremely rude when I explained that this was wrong; so I told him to fix it and I walked away. As the bride (and human), I didn't need to be spoken to in his harsh tone. Afterwards, we looked at the centerpieces. I had sent Dan quite a few photos of all purple (including purple hydrangeas), the flowers were white hydrangeas and purple roses. Anthony was busy telling me how he had already done a lot of extra things and almost refused to answer if Dan had even shown him the pictures I had sent. In the end it came out, that NO, DAN DID NOT SHOW HIM THE PHOTOS. Not only was he incredibly rude about the error, but he refused to even try to fix his mistakes. Honestly, I was more frustrated and offended by the rudeness than the mistakes. It's a wedding, mistakes happen and I understand that; however I do expect to be spoken to in a professional manner.
