Magical experience
My mom, twin sister, and I had a wonderful time at our Bubbles & Bites appointment. We loved having the upstairs to ourselves and playing dress-up. It was truly magical to find the perfect dress, cry some happy tears, and cheers with some bubbly. Lauren did a wonderful job finding the perfect dress and veil. What a treasured memory for a lifetime! Thank you!-

Great dresses and excellent service
Found the perfect dress at T&C! I walked in on a Saturday without an appointment since I was only in NOLA for a few days. Initially, I was told that I could only look at the dresses, but that I would have to come back with an appointment in order to try them on. Luckily, one of the stylists Jess finished her appointment early and let me try on the 3 dresses that I picked out! Even though it was near closing time, Jess did not rush me at all. I said yes to the 3rd dress I picked out. I had a wonderful experience at T&C and I can't wait to pick up my dress! -

I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else! Mandy and her team helped to make my "Say yes to the dress" experience one I will never forget. I have always dreamt of what my dream dress would look like and they helped to make it a reality and even better...in my price range! Not only did I get my dress there but because of my amazing experience so did my mom and bridesmaids. At Town and Country they treat you as more than a client but as part of their family. -

Seriously, IN LOVE on so many levels! I have always heard such great things about the owner, Mandy, her staff and her exquisite gowns. So when I became engaged, it was a no brainer on where to go for THE dress. After one conversation of describing what I liked and how I wanted to feel on this special day, Mandy knew exactly what I wanted. She made my dreams a reality! I was so fortunate to have Mandy as my stylist, however with every visit, from selecting my gown, to the veil and finishing touches, the team also made sure to stay involved and made sure I felt taken care of along the way. Everyone is so genuine and also knowledgeable about the latest designers and styles. My bridesmaid dresses and my flower girl dress also came from them! One stop shop :) Town & Country is hands down the BEST! -

Town and Country was the first dress store I visited. I worked with Beth who was respectful of my budget while making suggestions of gowns I might not have chosen myself. I was in a private room with my family, which made me very comfortable and I felt like I was the only bride in the world. Beth wasn't pushy or overbearing and I surprisingly said yes to her first suggested dress. My dress came in earlier than expected and I LOVED the seamstress that they suggested I see. I even had my gown cleaned with Town and Country. They were so excited to see my wedding photos and even shared my picture on their Instagram. I felt instal-famous. Don't even think twice. Make an appointment with the best store in New Orleans! -

The entire staff at Town & Country was accommodating, friendly and SO helpful throughout my entire wedding process. I shopped at several stores and no one matched the customer service and overall customer experience of Town & Country. The store is gorgeous and every single person knows your name when you walk in. I felt special from start to finish. Big shout out to my consultant Megan who checked on me throughout the entire process and made me feel so special. -

Town and Country was actually the SEVENTH place that I dress-shopped. I wish it had been first. I walked in, unsure of what to expect and a precious girl introduced herself and asked me what I had in mind. She said "I have just the dress!" and literally walked me straight to my dream dress. I seriously could not believe it. In addition to that first dream dress, I tried 5 other beautiful gowns - but she was right about that first dress. Town and Country is clean, well organized and feels very upscale. The dressing rooms are spacious and very comfortable. One of my favorite parts of Town and Country is the "back of dress camera" just outside of the dressing rooms. You can stand in front of a three-way mirror and look up into a screen and see the back of the dress! Lisa was my point of contact throughout the alterations, and she was just wonderful. My mom purchased her Mother of the Bride dress from Town and Country as well and had an equally great experience. Love Town and Country! Oh - bridesmaid dresses came from T&C, too! -

This was my third dress shop and they helped me find the perfect dress. It fit so well and I loved the way I looked in it. The ladies in there are awesome. If you have a price range you're wanting to stay under they will make sure you stay under it and not tease you with dresses over your budget. -

Blanc Bridal was the perfect dress shop for me. From making the first appointment to picking up my dress, everything was a breeze there. The store did move to another location while we were in the process of planning our wedding, and still everything was on point. Their dress are beautiful and different than other dress stores in the area. I was a little said that when I did finally say yes to the dress, there wasn't champagne or a cute little sign to take a picture with (But when I went to pick up my dress I saw them offering other ladies champagne and things) . The only negative thing I could say is that when the dresses did come in someone from the store called me, which I appreciated, but I had asked if they would please call all of the girls who had ordered dresses. They said ok, but no one was ever called. I had even called the shop a week or so later and asked if they would please follow up with everyone and they assured me that they would, but again my bridesmaids never got a call. Overall, Blanc Bridal\ Town & Country is where I would recommend someone start looking for a wedding dress. -

Love this boutique! I shopped around for my dress and they had by far the best price and let me pay for the address in advance over the phone since I couldn't get to New Orleans for a while. The staff is very friendly and made me feel welcome and like I was the only person in the store. I would definitely recommend them! -

My fitting at Blanc was the first glimpse I had of feeling like a true bride. I was never the type to have the “dream” dress or day-dream about the details of my future wedding day. In fact, I was very overwhelmed when I first got engaged and had absolutely no idea what type of dress I was looking for. All I knew is that I didn’t want to look like every other bride, I wanted something different and unique. Before walking into Blanc, I visited another dress store, crawling with other ladies also trying on their dresses and was only limited to trying on 8 dresses myself. With no idea of what I was looking for, I felt overwhelmed comparing myself to other beautiful ladies trying on their dream dresses and pressured to make a decision on 8 dresses that looked just like everyone else. Walking into Blanc was a breath of fresh air, I was the only bride in the boutique, I was able to try on as many dresses as I wanted, their selection was so different and diverse, the quality of their dresses was off the charts and the service provided by Ms.Caroline made me feel so valued, special, and like a true bride. My sister, future mother-in-law and beloved aunt sat on a beautiful white couch and I got to see the reactions on their faces as Ms. Caroline pulled back the dramatic curtains to reveal me wearing each dress. Needless to say, I was able to discover my dream dress that I never knew I had at Blanc. I highly recommend Blanc for any bride looking for an intimate and treasured experience in finding The Dress. – Rachael (Chicago, IL) -

The Best dress shop in the South, I went from Atlanta down to Miami over to Texas to find the Perfect dress and the best price and they were the BEST! I might have been over determined in my dress hunting but I had time to kill while my husband was over seas. Let me save every bride some time, this store was well worth the 3 hour drive from FL, best there is!! -

I had a fabulous experience, and I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". Ms. Babs was fabulous on alterations. Julie was absolutely wonderful on all follow up appointments. Ms. Sue actually picked my dress. Tip for brides: Do not bring a large crowd. I went with just my Mother, and we had a fabulous experience. If you put down a deposit on the spot, they offer a 20% discount. -

I had the perfect wedding dress and it was all thanks to Town and Country!
I had tried on dresses once with them and didn't find the one, so I had written them off-- big mistake. I ended up finding a dress at the Randy to the Rescue bridal show that was well past my budget and thank goodness they were using Town and Country to facilitate their purchases, because it wasn't the one for me. I called them after not sleeping due to buyer's remorse and they had a shipment of dresses come in that day that the lady thought I would love and that would not break the bank. Sure enough, I found my perfect dress! I could tell the moment I put it on that it was the one and I received so many compliments about the dress!! I am so thankful the lady knew what I wanted and what I could afford, so I could get my perfect dress and not overpay!! -

I bought my wedding dress there last April. I only tried on 2 dresses, but I knew the first one was it! It got to them in September when a hurricane was about to come through a few days later...and all Gulf Coast inhabitants know that taking chances with a hurricane is not a good idea. I live on the other side of the state and couldn't make it to New Orleans until the weekend because of classes, so they offered to ship it to me that day so that there would be no chance that my dress would get destroyed in the storm. They were all very helpful, and even gave me a shout-out on Facebook on my wedding day! -

Town and Country was my first stop when dress shopping. Tasha was my consultant, and she was great! She was so sweet and helpful and made me feel very comfortable. She was able to quickly figure out what I liked and picked out great gowns for me to try on. I picked three favorites, but wasn't ready to make a decision yet.
I came back a few weeks later with my sister and niece and said yes to my favorite dress of the three favorites. Tasha was just as excited and brought us champagne to celebrate! She even brought water in champagne glass for my 2 year old niece! I can't wait until my dress comes in!
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Town and Country, especially with Tasha. I definitely recommend Town and Country and Tasha! -

This store is hands-down the best bridal store in the area. The people are kind and great at figuring out what your style is and suggesting dresses you would like. Most importantly, their seamstress, Hung, is SO good at what she does. I was never worried about my alterations and, as I expected, they were perfect! -

My bridesmaids dresses were beautiful! Navy lace with three quarter sleeve and they were short. Elegant, classy, and Town and Country luckily carried them! They were expensive, but worth it. The quality was seen even by strangers when walking outside. They would ask about them and comment on them. Several girls re-wore them to Christmas cocktail parties and New Years parties. My wedding was late November! Tasha was very helpful in helping me choose colors and she kept contact with me and was always there to help. She is very professional and is a very good with people and informative with style and dress questions. My only tiny complaint is that when my girls dresses came in, they did not call me. When girls dresses were finished being altered, they did not call my girls. The girls and I had to keep making the phone calls weekly. Sometimes they would say "yes it's in" or "yes it's ready" and we wondered why they just didn't call us and notify us or leave a message. Other than that it was a great experience. Nice people, polite. -

I ended up loving my dress, but not without some stress first... After doing a custom alteration, the dress looked TERRIBLE (the alteration was done unevenly, making the back of my dress uneven) but they were able to have another seamstress fix the damage, but not without charging me for both alterations. However my dress ended up gorgeous, and Beth was incredibly kind, attentive, helpful, and professional. -

The boutique is nice, quiet, and clean. A little on the more expensive side as far as their overall price range, but my dress ended up being a little more than $1k after alterations, which is probably one of the least expensive dresses there. The staff was always friendly and helpful. My mom was unimpressed with the way my dress was altered at first - the back zipper was protruding so you could see the zipper more than the decorative buttons that were supposed to "hide" that zipper. This is mostly a result of the necessary taking in up top due to my disproportionately small bust, and my mom tends to dramatize everything, but even I had to admit, it actually did look kind of bad. So that very day, they added some loops to close the buttons & hide the zipper, but it was kind of odd the way they were acting about it at first, like we should just leave it in this "imperfect" state & not bother with a solution. I'll give them that my mom was being kind of annoying about it, but I (the bride) really was not being difficult throughout the process (I'm sure a lot of people say that, but I swear I was completely respectful of their time & effort - certainly not a bridezilla, or anyway not while I was at the boutique), so it was somewhat bothersome to me that we nearly had to beg them to solve the zipper problem. In the end the problem was fixed, and that's what's most important. Other than that very minor issue, I have no complaints & love my dress! -

Town and Country is your best bet by far in the New Orleans area. It is a beautiful little shop and the dresses are fabulous, but do expect to pay a little more for the extra time and attention they give you. A wedding is a once in a life time deal so its worth the slurge at Town and Country. -

Definitely a lot of attention and great service. The staff is very helpful. I think you definitely pay a little more for the attention. The alterations were amazing and everything was done promptly. -

Town and Country helped me find the perfect dress at a resasonable price, but the accessories they offered were way over priced. The level of service I recieved was great. And when I needed to reschedule a fitting due to a family emergency they worked with me and my schedule to fit me in. -

My experience with Town & Country were mixed feelings. My dress was beautiful and not a bad price. My issue came when, it was not explained to me that my dress had to be paid off and picked up during hurricane season. I lived out of town and my wedding wasn't for some time. If I had known what their policy was, I would have waited until after hurricane season to select the dress. They had a very "I don't care, you still need to come get your dress" attitude. I was very displeased with their customer service. I wish I hadn't purchased my dress from them. However once it got close to my wedding day, Babs was the shining star in that place that made me not regret my decision. Love her! She is an awesome seamstress. Overall, my experience was just ok and my dress was beautiful. I feel like that is an experience that I will never be able to take back, wish it was a more pleasant process. -

On the plus side, the fitting rooms were great, we received the total attention of our salesperson, the store wasn't overcrowded with people or dresses, the dress came in on time, the alterations were perfect, and it looked great when we picked it up. On the negative side, the price of the dress went up substantially as the ticket was written up. Here's how that happened: A large sign said 20% off all bridal orders placed today, so we thought we could afford the dress since it would be 20% less than the price on the tag. We discussed this in front of the salesperson, so she knew we were expecting the discount. When the ticket was written up, I asked for the deduction and was told that it didn't apply to that designer. Then I was told that the bride, who normally wears a size 12, would need an 18 from that designer, a plus size with a 20% surcharge. That put the dress at 40% plus tax above the price we thought we'd pay. When the dress came in, it was two or three sizes too large, so ordering the plus size the bride didn't need cost us not only 20% for the larger size but also about 20% extra for alterations. Bottom line: great dress, good service in some regards, but they deliberately ran the price up 60% plus tax over what we originally thought the dress was going to cost. -

BLACK MARKS ON MY DRESS!!
I have nothing bad to say about the consultants at town and country they were actually wonderful every time I was there and helped me find the most perfect gown and veil. It's actually the manager at this location that is a problem. I picked up my wedding dress the day before my wedding and it was packed by the store in a plastic bag inside of a garment bag. This dress was taken right to our hotel room and not taken out of any of the bags until the next day and morning of the wedding. To my surprise there were four black marks on the train. I immediately called Town and Country and told the manager about the marks to which she told me that I clearly had done that to my dress and they did not and I should take it to the cleaners myself the morning of my wedding. I sent her pictures of the marks which are posted here and clearly could not have been done by me since the dress hadn't left the stores packaging. So the managers solution after seeing the pictures was to have my hotels front desk bring us 1 shout wipe. Wow!! what customer service. Thank goodness for my bridesmaids and their emergency kits that they were able to at least fade the marks on the train. Again the consultants here couldn't have been more professional and courteous. It was just the manager so if you do go here make sure to inspect every inch of your own dress and don't expect any customer service if there is an issue once you leave the store.-

Vendor did not check on the delivery time for dress ordered until it was too late. They assumed it would take 3 months max; I ordered January 15 and it finally came in the first week of May after many tears and demands that they do something about it. They put a rush on it after they were told it would be in one week prior to the wedding and alterations still had to be made!!!!!! Very stressful!!!! -

My initial visit to Town and Country was really great. I found my wedding dress because Ashley was amazing at picking out dresses that fit my style. Plus, it was reasonably priced! We ordered it right away. My maid of honor also had a good experience in trying on some bridesmaids dresses and we picked one from the group that she tried on there. Unfortunately, things went downhill. When I came back into town for my fitting, which I had arranged by phone and had an email confirmation of, they weren't expecting me. The veil was really expensive and it took longer than expected to arrive. I ended up having to get my dress fit elsewhere. On top of that, ordering the bridesmaids dresses was a fiasco. I didn't hear back for weeks about the ordering process once I had the style and sizes together and it took multiple phone calls and emails to get a response. At that point I had to rush order them; a couple weeks makes a big difference! I ended up not working with Ashley anymore because I couldn't reliably get a hold of her and the rush ordering increased the price of the dresses. After working with the store manager, we got the dresses in time for the wedding, but it was one of the most stressful parts of my wedding planning. -

I loved my dress that I got from Town & Country, and I highly recommend them as a store from which to purchase your dress.
However, the low rating I chose is because of their alterations. They were absolutely horrific. My dress required minimal alterations, and the seamstress was able to take in the bust fine. However, the first bustle (French style) looked terrible with the dress. The seamstress was very sweet when I got the courage to tell her I did not like it at all, and showed me the American style bustle, which looked better.
I later picked up the dress without trying it on (because the only thing changed was the bustle), assuming my sister, who is a wedding photographer, could figure out how to bustle it. But when I tried it on the day before the wedding, the seamstress had sewn large light brown loops to the outside of my smooth, ivory dress. They looked like stains. The inside layer's bustle was also longer than the outer layer, and looked terrible. My sister was fuming, and called Town & Country, where the seamstress said that American bustles just looked like that, and that that was how she always made them.
Since this was the day before the wedding, which was in Baton Rouge, we took my dress to the Golden Needle in Baton Rouge, where the tailor said he had fixed MANY dresses from Town & Country. He could not use any of the holes where the T&C seamstress had sewn in the loops, but was able to smooth them out so that they were not noticeable. He placed tiny hooks in my dress for the bustle, which were barely visible, and certainly not noticeable.
I am so grateful for that tailor, and I recommend buying your dress from T&C, but I would NEVER recommend that you get them to do your alterations! You have to pay extra for alterations anyway, so you may as well take your dress to a place that specializes in alterations, not selling dresses. -

Everything was fantastic until I paid for the dress. After that the service was terrible. The owner is rude and unprofessional. It's ashame, I really liked Meghan, the sales lady and Ms. Babbs the seamstress. I had nothing but problems with this place since I purchased my dress. I'll spare you the long story, as I picked out my dress a year before the wedding. They were doing alterations and told me to come in at the beginning of the week of the wedding (I was married on a Saturday), long story short they didn't have my dress "on the books to be ready" until the day before the wedding. We had to threaten to call our attorney to have the dress ready in time after the owner yelled at me for asking when it would be ready and why it wasn't since they told me to come in Monday. When I went in to try it on the week of the wedding it was wrong again, someone kept changing the bustle to how I did not want it. I really don't understand how it kept happening, I would go in try it on, have them pin the bustle how I wanted, then somehow it would change to how I didn't want it. The zipper was broken when I went to pick it up the day before the wedding... Lisa, the owner, said it absolutely could not be changed and rubbed a lead pencil on the zipper. Ms. Babbs was a lifesaver, the zipper was broken and wouldn't even go up! She changed the zipper out in and hour and a half! When I went back there was a black stain on my dress! They got the stain out but I hope it doesn't show in pictures as it was front and center on my dress! I would stay far far away from here, not worth the headaches. If you do decide to venture in, do so at your own risk, and ask for Ms. Babbs the seamstress. She's the only person who knows what is going on and will be workig on your alterations. -

I have ten bridesmaids and they ordered their dresses from Town & Country. I was told three different shipping dates and three different arrival dates for the dresses by three different employees, one of them being the husband of the owner. They told me they would call several different times to confirm dates with me and never did. Every time I questioned why the dresses weren't in on the dates I was told, a different staff member would tell me they didn't know why I was ever told a delivery date because the dresses hadn't even shipped yet. Today I finally had enough. The husband of the owner assured me 100% that the dresses would be in Thursday, August 14, 2014 and that he would call Monday to confirm that they had shipped. I did not receive a phone so I called today (Tuesday) and his wife (the owner) was given the phone. She said that the dresses had not even shipped yet and she was unaware of any dates that I was ever given, which I believe is evidence of poor management on her part. Instead of apologizing for her employees, she was the first one to say it wasn't her fault and that she had no idea about any of it. I told her how disappointed I was with being given the run around, and she had few words to offer me. She called me back 30 minutes later to tell me that the dresses would be in today - HA! 30 minutes earlier she had said they hadn't even shipped yet. I explained to her how I was very confused at being told two completely different things, and she had the nerve to tell me that I should be "THANKFUL" that the dresses were coming in today! I have never heard someone say this to a customer!! She should be THANKFUL that I gave her store business, but she wasn't at all! PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. There are many other bridal places to shop at. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! Know what you are getting yourself into before you go there. -

Buyer beware
I was told I was purchasing their "Private Label" gown and it could be customized, the skirt of one design, full with a train, and the top of another, sweetheart neckline. I also requested a 4 inch belt be made. No problem the sales person said...wrong! The dress came in with No crinoline under the full skirt as the sample had shown. The "slip" was for a straight skirt not the full skirt I had ordered. Over a dozen of the buttons broke, yes broke, at the cheap plastic shank so they could not be sewn back on. There was no lining in the top so the stays showed thru. The "train....11 inches long...more like a sweep than a train.
Private Label? Yes, MADE IN CHINA according to the tag. The only tag..
no label! Instead of the Satin fabric, the made in China tag read 100% polyester.
Oh, the belt uneven, not 4 inches the full length and unlined or interline. Flimsy as heck. A complete disaster.
I felt like the victim of a bait and switch for the money I spent.
The manager did give me a small credit to add the crinoline and sent buttons from Amazon in the wrong color and the wrong style. Unusable.
Terrible experience! Traveled almost 200 miles to buy from them because their reputation. -

If no stars where an option that is what I would give these people. They have been a total nightmare to work with and the manager is incredibly rude. They refused to ship out of town dresses even though the out of town maids paid for shipping, then they refused to refund shipping! -

I cannot say anything about the buying process, because I was never able to actually have my appointment that I booked weeks in advance. When I came in for my appointment, I was told it would just be a few minutes and to browse the racks, which we were happy to do. There was no seating to wait, but we didn't mind...at first. As a few minutes turned into many more minutes, we were repeatedly told that they were just finishing up and it would be a few more minutes.
At an HOUR past my appointment time, I left. They apologized that the other bride had been there for 3 hours, but ultimately, did nothing to rectify the situation. The whole point of having an appointment is to follow a time line. It is the store's responsibility to make a bride move along instead of taking another bride's appointment time, in addition to her own. If they had been honest with me from the beginning, I actually would have been fine with rescheduling. Instead, they very poorly managed expectations by stringing me along with the "just a few more minutes" line. Needless to say, I will never be coming back.
Also, I will say that I have ultimately decided on a designer that is not available in New Orleans, but I had a lovely appointment at Wedding Belles and I would recommend Wedding Belles to other Nola brides.

I didn't purchase my wedding dress from Town & Country but my bridal party did. My Matron of Honor dress was never ordered and she was the first one to pay in FULL. My Maid of Honor dress was the wrong style when it came in. The ladies had to get someone else to alter the dresses because they didn't have time. The salesperson didn't communicate with anyone because she was trying to get all the sales to get the commission. Every time they would call she was never available and didn't return calls. When the ladies went to the shop she always had an excuse. My mom dress was ordered in the wrong size and the still added an up charge which made the dress about $900. We won't be back and won't recommend this place to ANYONE. -
