I hired Jem to do mine and my mother’s hair and makeup for my wedding. As an older bride, I was nervous that makeup could make me look older but Jem did an amazing job! I’m also very particular about my hair as it’s very thin and fine. She worked with me on this, had the right products and my hair looked great and my head piece stayed in all day (this is a big deal). My mother was also extremely happy.
As for professionalism, I had to cancel my first date due to Covid and my wedding was during government restrictions (10 people max) and through it all Jem was very responsive and flexible in a time that I’m sure was very challenging for everyone in her business. On the wedding day she followed all Covid protocols and made my mother and I feel safe and confident which was very important as we are both high risk.
Overall, the experience from start to finish was fantastic! I would highly recommend this service.

Jem (and her team) are a fabulous beauty artists - my airbrush makeup and glamour waves were absolutely flawless on my wedding day. My face looked (and felt) both natural and glamorous and the makeup and hair held the entire day without touchup. Before booking with Jem, we had a very lengthy phone chat and met for coffee. She was the only wedding decision I made on the spot! I had to search no further after speaking with her. Jem provides every detail, answers every question, and treats her brides with genuine care. Her passion for her work shines. My favorite part about Jem is that she REMEBERS everything. Mention a favorite eyeliner, and she will provide it; mention you want your hair parted on the other side next time, and she does it. On my wedding day, she remembered all my comments so I was able to focus on being pampered and Jem took all my previous direction and executed expertly. Jem is a perfectionist and she will not stop until everything is just right. The trial was a great one-on-one time where we decided on my bridal look; I definitely recommend this. I never felt rushed and by the end, I looked flawless. She asks the right questions and has a keen ability to transform my beauty inspirations (both pictures and verbal instruction) into a reality. On the morning of my wedding, when I was feeling quite anxious and overwhelmed, Jem put her hand on my shoulder and told me to breathe. I was so relieved to have her there to calm me. She was the last person to see me off as my limo arrived - touching up my eyelashes as I walked down the driveway! She goes the extra mile! In addition, Jem is PUNCTUAL. She is never late and responds promptly to all communication, which really eased my stress. She is super professional and flexible/accommodating when needed. If I had to do it all over again, Jem would be the first vendor I hire!

I'm such a tardy person but I finally came around to being able to thank Jem for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. Not only did she make me feel beautiful but my VERY picky mom as well.

I had Jem come back during the day to do a bit of touch ups and my hair again, 100% worth it. I will tell you, the hardest vendor for me to book for my wedding was hair and make up, because you never know until you see what they can offer you. Put your trust in Jem because she really is amazing and such a great person to talk to as well.

Oh and do the Trial! It'll help make sure you get things right, we were debating between red and pink lipstick and we were able to do both so it really helped with the final version!

I could not have been happier with TBS services! Jem and her team were fun, professional, and extremely talented. I and my entire bridal party looked flawless (hair and makeup) and felt amazing for the entire day. My friend who has been a bridesmaid like 7 times said it as the best hairstyle she has ever had and I woke up the next day with my updo completely in tact. There is no way that I would have felt as amazing as I did on my wedding day without Jem.

My bridesmaids and I had the pleasure of working with Jem. She is absolutely positively wonderful to work with. She was very professional throughout our entire communication, and the work she did, landed us compliments throughout the entire night. The only small drawback that I had was that she was the only one doing hair and makeup for my three bridesmaids and I and so we ended up running a bit late. Other than that small drawback, I would absolutely recommend her and even book her again. I have actually given newly engaged couples her information.

Excellent airbrush makeup that lasted all night! First time ever I didn't have raccoon eye smudging.

I booked Jem for a wedding I was attending as a trial run for my own wedding coming up in October (2015). At that time, I had not yet booked a bridal artist for my wedding day but had inquired with many vendors. Lots of artists who I emaiked with had long emails that didn't make the booking process very clear or pricing was unclear, OR they provided a bunch of files for me to go through instead of just telling me simply what was required to book and what their prices were. Jem was straightforward and I really liked that! I never felt like she was playing those pricing games with me that wedding vendors often play with us brides. After having her do my trial run for the wedding I went to I didn't even need to wait until I got home, because I knew on the spot that I wanted to book her. I should have just believed the reviews & photos on the website lol but sometimes you feel like you need to see it yourself to be convinced. I am completely convinced! I have a large 2 day Hindu wedding coming up and I'm so excited that I'll have her to take care of me on my wedding. Thank you Jem! I'm looking forward to the big day!

Jemz was Amazing to work with. From day one and to the wedding day itself, all the crazy emails I sent in between she was professional, patient, understanding, personable, and friendly. I also had the Pleasure of Cheri and Keisha who came to my house for hair and makeup.
They were such a pleasure to have and had everyone comfortable and enjoying themselves.
Cheri was even able to recreate my hair exactly to the photo I had shown her and I am not easily impressed!

Jem and her assistant (Keisha) were absolutely AMAZING. I was transformed into the most beautiful bride I could possibly be and still felt like myself. Her professionalism, perfection, honesty and great sense of humour make the entire process a fun and memorable one. My bridesmaids were absolutely stunning as well and we received so many compliments throughout the evening. Working with Jem was a very positive experience. As a bride of afro-Caribbean ancestry, I was very lucky to have found Jem: she was able to meet my unique make-up and hairstyling needs and those of my ethnically diverse bridal party. I would happily recommend her to any would-be bride.

Jem is an excellent educator, she is giving with her knowledge and honest with her feedback. I really learned a lot in her South Asian Bridal workshop and she made me go out of my comfort zone to produce amazing results. I would definitely take another workshop with her!

I have never used any makeup service before, but decided to treat my girlfriend with some private lessons. Knowing almost nothing about makeup, Jem was great in answering all my questions and explaining what she'd be doing in the session. I was impressed with her professionalism in her responses right from the start. She made organizing and planning the session really easy.

My girlfriend and I were both very happy with the results and couldn't stop smiling. It was very helpful that she made my girlfriend do the other half of her face so that she could feel more confident in her ability to repeat it on her own. Jem was great in explaining how to use different products and colours to create looks that would complement my girlfriend's features.

Since I've never done anything like this before, I had no idea what to expect in terms of price. Initially, I was a bit surprised by the cost, but what I got was comparable market pricing for incomparable results. I wouldn't hesitate to go to Jem again because I definitely got my money's worth in terms of professionalism, cleanliness, comfort, and expertise. My girlfriend got compliments from everyone she knew, and the smile on her face at the end was priceless.

I was attending a wedding and being somewhat of a procrastinator I needed to get my hair and makeup done ASAP, with only have a couple hours in between work and the wedding. Jemz was very friendly, professional, flexible and most of all responsive. She was able to fit me into her schedule and did a spectacular job with my hair and makeup. I received compliments on my updo , makeup and even my lashes from other guests all night long. I was very pleased with the result after remembering how worried and unprepared I was walking into her place. She made me feel special on that day. I felt so glamorous!

She went above and beyond to provide me with all the information I needed when I was 4,000 km away from where my wedding was to take place. Although I was unable (due to time restraints on my part,) to set up a trial, she did a great job attaining the results I desired based on my inspiration photos. I had compliments all night on my hair and makeup, and continue to receive compliments on my photos. She also did a great job on my mother and sister-in-law.

Jem was amazing. She came to me for my wedding day and that took a lot of stress out of the day. She did the makeup for me and my bridal party and it was exactly what we asked for. She was very knowledgeable about how makeup should look for our deep skin tones and for some of the older and more mature people in the party. The makeup she did really flattered everyone's features and we the makeup didn't look cakey or really fake. She covered all of the discolorations and acne scars that I had but the makeup was still natural, so I really liked that. Overall, she was on time, friendly, quick, and made us all feel comfortable, even the older ladies. I would highly recommend her makeup services to any future bride. Thanks Jem!

Jemz was great!! Her professionalism and support was fantastic. I really didn't know what I wanted for my wedding. But she took the time to sit, and listen and ask the right questions. The make up was flawless and eprfect. She met my breidesmaids the day of the wedding and all of them had nothing but compliaments. They loved thw fact that the makeup felt so light and comfortable. It did not feel or look like it was caked on (trying too much). It was natural and perfect.

Jem was amazing. She was very communicative before my big day, requesting photo's of styles that i might want, and on time and flexible about how we did things when she arrived. She was easy-going (which for my family was necessary- i don't think my mother in law had ever had a woman touch her face for anything!) and executed beautiful looks for everyone that were tasteful and elegant. I loved the look that i got in the end, and when i felt that my makeup was just a bit off, she worked diligently to give me the exact look that i wanted. If you communicate effectively with her, she is ready and willing to give you exactly what you want, to make you a happy lady. I would highly recommend her work.
