Top Hat Entertainment for the WIN

Hands down the best DJ for a fun-filled night and a jam-packed dance floor! We used Top Hat Entertainment for our wedding in Vermont and cannot recommend them enough. They were incredibly organized, really listened to our wants and needs, and were an absolute blast to work with.

Mark, our DJ for the night, was funny, professional, and perfectly on point with our music choices. He kept the energy high all night long.

We also took advantage of their photo mirror service as a gift for our guests, and it was a huge hit! Everyone loved the interactive mirror, and it created amazing memories—not just for our guests, but for us too. We received digital copies of all the photos, which was such a fun keepsake.

If you want a stress-free experience and an unforgettable party, Top Hat Entertainment is the way to go.

Absolutely phenomenal DJ!

We had a wonderful time working with Top Hat! We found them via a referral from our venue and right from the get-go Mike (the owner) was friendly and communicative. He actually ended up being our DJ on the day-of and he was fantastic!! Mike clearly knows what he’s doing and had everyone dancing all night long (and multiple guests have said our DJ was awesome!). We also chose to do a photobooth with them and Christy was lovely, making the photo experience so fun and seamless. If you need a DJ and/or a photobooth - look no further.

Awesome DJ & Sound!

We had an amazing experience using Top Hat Entertainment for our ceremony and reception at our wedding at the Old Lantern Barn in November 2025! Top Hat gave us a great price for our event and they were very responsive and helpful during our communications throughout the planning process. They helped me create an awesome mashup song for my father-daughter dance that was a crowd pleaser! We met with our DJ before the wedding over Zoom to check in about the schedule for the day, the songs for the ceremony, and the overall musical vibe for the night. DJ Rob absolutely delivered and we had such a great time dancing with our guests to music we loved all night long. We highly recommend using Top Hat Entertainment for your wedding!

Amazing night!

From the start, working with Top Hat for our wedding was absolutely seamless! We received their information from our venue's preferred vendor list and they did not disappoint by any means! Our entire process was easy and enjoyable, from our first initial calls to feel out the vibe that wanted all the way down to the week of the wedding when the last few details were falling into place, Top Hat was communicative, professional, and trustworthy. Tyler DJ'd our wedding and the dance floor was filled the entire night! He did a great job mixing up genres, decades, and felt the crowd out as the night went on. Our guests are still raving about how much fun they had! Thank you so much for being a part of our special day!!

Everyone we worked with at Top Hat Entertainment was so friendly and helpful. DJ Tyler was absolutely incredible! He was great during our pre-wedding call and made sure to build a playlist that fit our vibe. And he outdid himself. Our dance floor was full the entire night. Grateful for Top Hat

Hiring Top Hat legitimately made our wedding. They took the time to figure out our taste in music, and match us with the right DJ. And man, DJ Robbie was electric. He did our reception and after party and just brought it. The dance floor was packed all night, he was super professional with timing, organization, and helping things flow. Mike & Top Hat are the BEST!

I got married last weekend at the Mountain Top Resort. Being that I am not from VT, I did tons of research before booking vendors & ultimately settled on Top Hat Entertainment as my DJ. Let me do you all a favor - stop reading endless reviews and book. Mike was absolutely AMAZING. He kept the dance floor bumping all night long, he nailed my ceremony music, and he even read a short speech that we felt was too emotional for us to handle ourselves. He knows all the ins & outs of MTR so I literally had to do nothing except enjoy the night. Thank you Top Hat! You are the BEST!

Hire Top Hat if you want the best time ever!!

Cannot recommend Mike and his team more! They set the vibe for the ceremony and reception in the best way possible. From making sure our officiant was set with the lapel mic to mini-golf at the cocktail hour and the music/photobooth at the reception, everything ran so smoothly. The whole Top Hat team was incredibly responsive prior to the wedding with any questions we had and made sure we had a seamless magical day. Incredible wedding made possible by Top Hat!

My husband and I got married at Mountain Top resort in November ‘24. We used Top Hat for our wedding and reception. Robby was absolutely incredible. People did not leave the dance floor, his way of perfectly blending the songs made it so much fun. Not only do my husband and I talk about how perfect the wedding was but our friends and family months later still talk about how fun the dance floor was. Mike was AMAZING. Mike worked with us since day one. The first meeting with him, was great. He really connects with you and your fiance and cares about what you want. As soon as we were on the call, we knew we had to have Top Hat as our entertainment. He was helpful, informative and all around a great person. He listened to all of our requests and helped us immensly with all of the requests we had. He wants to make sure you have the best day and we certaintly did have the best day! When I say people are still talking about the music, the wedding and the after party, I am not lying and the wedding was almost a month ago. BOOK THEM!!!

Best Wedding DJ and Photobooth!

Top Hat provided DJ services and a magic mirror photo booth for our wedding on June 1, 2024. They were AMAZING!

They provided my husband and I with a detailed worksheet to gather the relevant details of our wedding and our music preferences. We also had a call prior to the wedding to run through our event schedule and playlist. We gave our DJ, Tyler, a general vibe we were going for and he nailed it! Our dance floor was full all night and our guests had a blast.

The photo booth was perfect! There were no tech issues at all and people loved getting to print as many copies as they wanted. And they sent my husband and I a link to all the digital photos after the event. The attendant was so fun and patient with guests and her help really made everything rn smoothly.

My husband and I got married on 5/18/2024 at the Essex Resort and Spa. Mike was our DJ for the evening, and I could not believe how INCREDIBLE he was! He brought so much energy, played exactly what I had asked for, and was overall amazing. We had everyone on the dance floor and we’ve gotten so many compliments about how much fun the wedding was. During the maid of honor speech, Mike played the song she had mentioned in her speech, completely on a whim and unplanned! It was amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! Very happy with the Top Hat Entertainment team

We decided to work with Top Hat based on the recommendation from our venue, their price estimate and services offered. Mike was outstanding during our initial scoping calls and fully understood our goals. As we got closer to our wedding day we continued to refine our ideal music and shared that with the Top Hat team, they were really helpful with narrowing down the best versions of our selections. Our DJ was Mark and he absolutely crushed it, playing music across all the genres we identified and keeping with the vibe of our guests - the dance floor was activated the entire night and more importantly everyone was having a blast. We knew our guests would have fun, but looking around the dance floor we were blown away by the energy! We also had Christie supporting the Magic Mirror, she was so kind and helpful, making the PhotoBooth a huge hit. Best Decision We Made for Our Wedding!!

Top Hat was recommended to us by our venue and they did not disappoint! From the initial meeting we had with Mike before booking, the booking process, and their communication and professionalism leading up to the day, Top Hat was top notch. We had Rob as our wedding DJ and from our initial meeting with Rob we knew we were in good hands. Rob really took the time to get to know us as a couple and what was important to us for the wedding, which was keeping the dance floor going all night! We expressed to Rob the importance of the DJ for our wedding day and he absolutely delivered. Seriously could not recommend him enough. He kept the energy high all night and our guests are still raving about how the dance floor literally didn't stop all night. Rob went above and beyond, even taking photos for us for our private last dance as our photographer and videographer had already left. 10/10 would recommend!!

Hit of the Night

The mirror photobooth provided by Top Hat was the hit of our wedding. Our guests had so much fun and we enjoyed looking back at all of the photos taken. The mirror was easy to use and the attendant was extremely friendly and helpful. She helped assemble a photo book for us of the extra pictures that everyone printed. They provided fun props for us and guests to use throughout the evening. It really was the hit of the party! We loved receiving digital copies of the photos too. I recommend everyone get one for their wedding!

Great Photobooth

We hired Top Hat Entertainment to set-up a magic mirror styled photo booth. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the ability to take their photos with a wide variety of props, and we really appreciated the attendant that encouraged guests to place their photos in our album so we could have a keepsake from the wedding. They even sent us digital copies of the photos so we can have access to them later. We would definitely use Top Hat Entertainment again.

Amazing DJ!

We had DJ Tyler for our wedding and he was AMAZING! During our pre wedding phone call, we told him the most important thing was to get as many people on the dance floor as possible. He definitely delivered! Nobody was sitting down, and he knew exactly what music to play to get people excited. Throughout the night he was organized, flexible, and super easy to work with. Top Hat also provided a photo booth and photo booth operator for us. They had a variety of props, and the operator was so patient and fun! If you are on the fence about a photo booth, do yourself a favor and book it. Our guests loved taking photos with the props, and Top Hat emailed us all the copies a week later. They were so fun! Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend Top Hat to anyone who asks!

Highly recommend!

We are so happy that we chose Top Hat Entertainment as our wedding DJ! They helped us through the planning process and kept everyone on the dance floor all night, which was exactly what we wanted. They played all of our special request songs, and the sound quality and volume were great all night. We also added on their open air photo booth package. Guests loved getting to use the photo booth, and the attendant made sure to print plenty of copies for everyone in the photo. We were pleasantly surprised that they sent all of the digital copies of the photos after our wedding, so we got to see everyone’s pictures (even the ones we weren’t in).

Fun, professional, and rolls with the punches!

Mike was amazing. We had to reschedule our original date, and that was no issue whatsoever.
Mike kept the party going all night long, and even brought a TV so our guests could watch the ball drop while celebrating (NYE Wedding). He also worked with our bridal party to facetime a missing Best Man (darn covid) so he could make his toast remotely! It was above and beyond.
He stuck to our both play/don't play lists and also added wonderful songs in between. Our guests had a fantastic time and Mike helped make it so! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a DJ.

You won’t regret hiring Mark

I can not recommend Mark and Top Hat highly enough!! Planning a wedding that is 500 miles away is hard but thanks to Mark I had way less to worry about. We had music for the ceremony and reception. He arrived early to set up and coordinated with our venue, caterer and officiant. He made sure all of my preferences were catered to and kept the entire event moving smoothly. All of our guests, of all ages, thoroughly enjoyed the music being played. If you want a true professional to create the perfect atmosphere and check so many worries off your list, Mark and Top Hat are my recommendation.

Amazing experience

Damon was our DJ, and we cannot recommend him enough! He was communicative before the wedding, and set up a phone call to go over details and timeline. We are less traditional and cut out a lot of the "fluff" of a wedding reception, and he completely understood the vibe we were looking for. During the reception itself, Damon checked in with us at each point before toasts etc, and made sure we were ready and kept us running on time. His music choices were fantastic, and he was incredibly experienced with reading the crowd and the energy in the room. We had an early bus departure option, so at 10pm there was a lull in the dance floor as some guests were saying their goodbyes. Damon was able to revive the dance floor and everyone was dancing again by the end of the night. He was a true example of why experienced DJs are always worth it, and are much more than just a music playlist. Book Tophat for your wedding, you will not regret it!

So happy we went with Top Hat!

We used Top Hat for our recent wedding in Vermont, and had the best experience! Mike was our DJ, and leading up to the wedding he was responsive, easy to work with, and helpful. His energy in emails/phone calls was contagious, and we'd leave interactions with him feeling that much more excited for the wedding. Day of, he provided ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music and was phenomenal! My big hope for our wedding reception (especially with Covid) was that people would dance, and he did such a great job, the dance floor was full all night! He had the best energy, and was great to work with. I'm so glad we found Top Hat!

I should also mention, we rented Top Hat's "magic mirror" photobooth. Our guests thought it was so cool, and it made a great favor. I was originally on the fence about a photobooth, but it was so fun, and made for some hilarious pictures! Thank you Mike and Top Hat!

You can’t go wrong with Top Hat!

Top Hat was so easy to work with. Tyler was our DJ and he was awesome. We told him the type of music we were looking for and he nailed it. Everyone was on the dance floor all night long. We had a call with Tyler the week of the wedding and were able to ask any questions and get any recommendations we were in need of. He was great to work with, kind, and professional. Thank you!!

Mike is the best!

Mike at Top Hat Entertainment did an AMAZING job DJ'ing our wedding! I can't recommend him highly enough. He is a total pro; just let him do his thing! We gave him a huge list of music we loved, and he played the right songs at the right times, and knew exactly how to get the crowd up and moving. We had over 3 hours of dancing and people were just loving it! Mike really made the party and we are so grateful!

We had an absolute blast and Mike kept everyone dancing all night!

Mike was absolutely amazing!!! He was super friendly and attentive to little things I didn’t even think of, like making sure we had mics so people could hear our vows!! We had a table right next to the DJ that I was nervous about but Mike somehow made sure the music was loud enough for all of us to hear but not loud enough where the table was unhappy with the sound! It was amazing. Mike was more of our wedding coordinator than our actual coordinator was and made sure we stuck to our timeline and were aware of any changes! He gave us advice and suggestions to ensure things ran more smoothly! Can’t say enough how amazing TopHat and Mike was. Made our night even more memorable and fun! One month later and people are still talking about how amazing Mike was!!

Best night ever!

We truly have no complaints about Mike and Top Hat Entertainment! The energy and organization that Mike brought to our reception was absolutely perfect. As soon as it was reception time, he stepped up and took control of keeping the entire night on track and tons of fun! From beginning to end, the timing of the music, the dancing, the lighting, everything worked out just as we had hoped. He kept the dance floor busy the entire night, and nearly everyone we spoke to, commented on how much fun they had at our reception. We know this had a lot to do with Mike, and everything he did to help make our reception the most fun we've ever had! Thank you again Mike!

Incredible

I cannot begin to express how grateful we were to have found Mike. To put it simply, he was our biggest blessing during our wedding. He was the EASIEST part of planning and was truly our saving grace as our original DJ began to back peddle and get weird 4 months before our wedding. I called Mike and he called me back within 1 minute, sent an email and replied instantly. He has such vibrant and amazing energy that is a great balance at a wedding…. He was energetic and fun without being cheesy or weird! Mike from our first conversation put me at such ease explaining my situation and one of the first things he said is we are going to make this THE best wedding and I promise to do all that I can to help make this day a dream. I had some fun things planned throughout the ceremony/reception and he helped execute them all immaculately and without stress. We constantly felt like we were a priority and that he truly cared and wanted to make this the best day ever! And he did just that and more. I can’t tell you how many family members and friends were complimenting him during and after the wedding just from their experience and brief interactions with him. Mike is absolute GEM and is worth every penny. The dance floor was full, he read the crowd perfectly, handled last minute requests with grace and ease, and made us feel so calm. Do yourself a favor and BOOK. HIM. ALREADY. Thank you Mike, we adore you!!!!!

Awesome awesome awesome!

Mike at TopHat was very accommodating to us and answered every question we had. The whole wedding planning went very easily. We were able to meet with Mike and fill out the provided questionnaire which truly hits every single aspect of the wedding ceremony and reception. We had Top Hat provide us microphones for our officiant and readers during our ceremony. They worked very well and everyone was able to hear each and every aspect! Damon was our DJ and he did a PHENOMONAL job. Every single person at our wedding commented on what a great DJ we had! He set up a call with us before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page about music selections --- and we were! He mixed up music effortless and flawlessly! The dancing didn’t stop all night! He checked in with us numerous times throughout the wedding to make sure everything was going as we wanted it to! We could not have had a better DJ! He listened to all of our music selections and played them all in a great order and mash up! He was great with announcements on the microphone as well! Every single aspect of our wedding reception from the entrance songs and first dances to the toasts to the cake cutting was PERFECT! We cannot stress enough how much we would recommend Top Hat especially our DJ Damon!

Great communication - Keeps the party going!

Top Hat Entertainment is fantastic! We planned our Vermont wedding from Boston, but Mike from Top Hat was super communicative, both through phone and email, during the whole process. Rob was our DJ for our wedding and he was fantastic. He met with us a few days before to go over our requests, and he even handled some last minute song requests I had. He was super nice, easy to work with, and kept the party going!

Great time!

Damon from Top Hat did a great job at our wedding at the Barn at Smugglers Notch! We had a blast with our guests dancing the night away! He was open to all of our requests and played everything that was on our list. Such a great time!

We love Top Hat!

Guys - if you don't hire Top Hat, you're insane. Mike made our wedding run like clock work - every song, announcement and transition was perfectly timed and flawlessly managed. He even figured out how to wire a keyboard and speakers on a remote hilltop for our ceremony, without a single complaint or hiccup. We can't tell you how many guests said, "That was the best wedding we've EVER been to," and we credit that to Mike and his team. Get ready for the wedding/dance party of your dreams!

Above and beyond my expectations!!!! 10/10

First of all I never write reviews but had to write one for Mike at Top Hat, this guy went above and beyond the DJ job description to make our day perfect and we are so appreciative of this.

To be honest I was really worried about hiring a DJ... I've seen some super cheesy ones that just don't get the vibe of the party. A live band was my top choice but too expensive.

We hired with Top Hat after having a great phone conversation with Mike. He was incredibly nice, personable and authentic. Even with just a phone call, we were hopeful that this guy got us and what we were looking for on our special day. All I can say is WOW I'm so glad we did. Here are some things that Mike did that blew us away.

He really cared about the details and wanted everything to be perfect for us. For the ceremony, he made sure all the songs we wanted were played at the right time, did a seamless sound check and set up. The mics worked perfectly there were no hiccups or technical issues.

Mike kept us on schedule, the person who was supposed to keep everything on track was MIA, so Mike stepped in and found everyone that was going to make a speech, gave them 10 minute heads up, showed them how to use the mike. It was amazing and he made run smoothly that had the potential of going WAY off track.

Mike kept the dance floor going ALL NIGHT!!! He played a perfect blend of music that everyone loved which wasn't easy as we had a range of people from little kids, teenagers, adults. Even my 87 grandmother was still on the dance floor until the end! He did a fantastic job of reading the crowd.
Mike also facilitated impromptu party requests like a Conga line to "Hot, hot, hot" to a dance floor jump rope made of table cloths and electrical tape (provided by Mike) he was able to adapt with the crowd and give them what they wanted and make it even better.

Bottom line, hire this guy, you won't regret it and the best part of all this is that he is the nicest guy. He always had a big smile and a positive attitude. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and feels honored to be there on your special day. THANK YOU MIKE!!!

Definitely Recommend!

Top Hat DJ was great! They came highly recommended from several friends and we specifically requested Tyler per their recommendation. Tyler was so helpful and friendly. We had a friend who played the guitar during the ceremony, but Tyler happily provided the system and then managed everything form dinner through dancing. He took our music selection and ran with it exactly as we had hoped, and everyone danced all night long! Recommend for sure!

Top Hat is the Best!

Top Hat is an awesome company and Rob was an awesome DJ! He kept the flow of the evening moving perfectly. He was very flexible with us and was very receptive to suggestions from the wedding guests - which we had previously given the OK to do. Dancing all night long

Mike and Mark are great to work with! Very professional, accommodating, and best yet fun! They take so much into account for choosing the best environment for your event from music tastes, ages present and just reading the crowd. My husband and all his groomsmen are military and Mark made sure to have the correct titles for everyone. He even helped us surprise a couple in our wedding party since our wedding date is also their anniversary! Mark worked closes,y with our venue to plan every speech, dance, etc perfectly. We even rented lawn games from them which all of guests loved! What I thought was amazing was that unlike many other companies, if the weather was not permitting th alwn games, they would not charge us for them, only if we used them, which luckily we were able to. The music was great, I know I spent the entire night on the fpdance floor! We couldn't be happier with the entertainment provided by Top Hat and would quickly recommend them to anyone in search of entertainment for their event!

What started as a disaster ended up making our wedding 100x better!

We can NOT recommend TopHat’s DJ and photo booth services highly enough!! My husband and I had never considered ourselves a “dj couple”; we had both envisioned a band at our wedding. However, about a week or two before our wedding (I’m honestly trying to block it out), our band pulled out. As you can imagine, I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what to do. My wedding coordinator recommended TopHat Entertainment’s DJ services; I was slightly nervous at first because we had associated DJ’s with cheesy/cliche weddings and we desperately wanted to avoid that. However, I reached out to Mike anyway and I am SO GLAD I DID. He immediately calmed my fears and went above and beyond to ensure that he would provide us with exactly what we needed in terms of wedding music. My husband is a bit of a music snob, and Mike allowed us to create our own playlists and happily agreed to stay away from all typical wedding music. However, we gave Mike permission to read the crowd and add/omit songs as he saw fit - and he did an amazing job of that!!At the wedding itself, Mike was able to read the crowd so incredibly well and played a perfectly curated selection of music (both our suggestions and his own) and I can truly say I have never seen or heard of a livelier wedding reception!! Everyone was glued to the dance floor the ENTIRE NIGHT and I’m relatively confident I never stopped moving once. There was not an ounce of cheesiness; Mike was a pure delight!! Additionally, I had not planned on getting a Photo Booth, but Mike convinced us to include his magic mirror photo booth and the guests ABSOLUTELY loved it. That ended up being a highlight of our reception! Looking back, I am genuinely SO GRATEFUL our band screwed us over & that we went the DJ route with TopHat. Highly recommended!!!!

Great DJ!!

Top Hat was great and professional! They did the music for our reception. We had many people compliment us afterwards on the great DJ! I especially appreciated that they respected my request that the music not be too loud (we had older family members present at the reception), and even my grandfather was very happy with the volume! Lawn games and photo booth were also a big hit with our guests.

Top Hat is the BEST! Not only are they professional, they are the nicest company to work with. Mike was our DJ and he truly made sure we had the best night of our lives. We met Mike at a tasting at our venue (MTI) and knew he would be great! He was very attentive to our requests and kept in contact with us leading up to the wedding. He was on point for everything we requested and kept the party going, catering to the vibe of the dance floor. I had so many guests say that they had an amazing time and that has a lot to do with a great DJ! If you're choosing between Top Hat and someone else, choose Top Hat! I honestly don't have one negative comment about them.

Mark was an awesome DJ! We got married at Mt. Snow Grand Summit Resort and Top Hat did the photo booth,uplighting, and DJ. All of our guests have been raving about Top Hat! Mark played all of the songs we requested and played songs in various genres. He was very accommodating with us because we had some live musicians and he was so easy going. Our guests were on the dance floor from the second we walked in the ballroom. Thank you Top Hat! We are forever grateful!

Excellent entertainment. There was never a time that there was not a group of people on the dance floor. We had been to 2 other weddings that we had heard Top Hat and were very impressed, so we were glad to obtain them for our son's wedding. They were very easy to work with and very accommodating to our needs and selection of music. The DJ stayed in contact with the bride and groom throughout the evening to check in with them, which was great. I would highly recommend them for your next event and know we will be hiring them again in the future for our daughters' weddings.

After briefly speaking with Mike on the phone, we immediately knew we wanted to invite him to DJ and MC our wedding. His enthusiasm, professionalism, and competency coalesced to set the exact mood we were hoping for. Mike and the Top Hat team are the best! They were recommended to us by another bride, and now I'm recommending them to you! They went above and beyond to help create our perfect wedding weekend: from spending hours on the phone with me answering every question I could think of about how a wedding works, to building us a custom Giant Beer Pong set for the rehearsal BBQ (because they didn't originally have one, but we REALLY wanted it), to making music on a rustic hilltop possible (they have the best equipment and tons of experience with all situations), to coordinating several of my musically talented friends who were performing during the wedding, to making my custom-designed photo booth printouts work out perfectly... and that was on top of all the coordinating of events and people and music that DJs are responsible for! All the music and timing of events was spot on, and all our guests had a blast, especially with the series of closing songs Mike chose to top off the night! Mike was so attentive to everyone's needs, and handled every situation (including a glass shattering on the dance floor) with grace and ease. These guys are the real deal and I would 1000% recommend them!

Top Hat did a fantastic job at my wedding. My husband and I and all our friends are between 28 and 33 so we wanted all the hits we grew up listening to in the 90's and early 00's and they nailed it, our friends were dancing and having a blast all night. One friend even ripped his pants, I think that really says it all.

We had Mark for our wedding at the Old Lantern and we could not have been more satisfied with how everything went. From the beginning in working with Mike, everyone at TopHat was professional, courteous, and enjoyable to work with. For the actual day of, Mark set up everything without any problems and given we had a more non-traditional ceremony, he set up wireless microphones and acoustics that worked beautifully. During the dinner and dancing, he played our playlists with his own minor additions to perfection and was extremely in tune with the ebb and flow of the evening and which songs to play. All in all, we couldn’t have had a more enjoyable experience with everyone at TopHat and we highly recommend them to anyone having a wedding or other big event.

We had a great experience with Top Hat Entertainment for our wedding in Mountain Top Inn, Vermont. We used them for ceremony music, reception and dancing music, and dance floor lighting, Mark was extremely accommodating and great to work with. He was eager to follow non american guidelines from us and play the music we gave him which included French and Indian songs. Plus, this vendor used to work with our venue so it made it pretty easy! Can't recommend them enough.

I booked Top Hat for my wedding this October and I'm so glad I did! Everyone I spoke to at Top Hat was very friendly and helpful. Our DJ was Tyler Hart and he did an amazing job keeping our guests happy and on the dance floor. He was on-time, professional, and friendly so he was great to work with. Through this vendor we hired a DJ, magic mirror photo booth, and up-lighting. Our DJ, Tyler, did a great job with our music selection, everyone had such a fun time dancing. People were dancing from the start of the music until the very end of this night, the dance floor was packed. The magic mirror photo booth was a hit. It was much less cramped than a regular photo booth. Our guests loved how they could sign their photo and even add emojis to it. The up-lighting was key, Tyler did a great job controlling the lights once the music started for dancing. We highly recommend Top Hat!!

I can't say enough good things about Top Hat, and especially DJ Daren! The music from pre-ceremony, until our requested last song at the reception was perfect! Daren really knows how to get the party going, and keep it going! We also rented the Magic Mirror photo booth, and had SO MUCH fun with it... everyone LOVED it! It was very easy to communicate with Top Hat, and they made sure everything flowed smoothly, and that we got exactly what we wanted. Our best man was overseas and recorded a video for his speech, so Top Hat made sure that everything was downloaded and ready to go on their projector when it came time to show it... we were a little nervous about it actually happening, but Top Hat pulled through flawlessly. It was also a bonus that DJ Daren allowed our videographers connect to the soundboard, so that we now have great audio recordings of the ceremony and speeches. Like I said, I can't say enough good things about Top Hat, their employees, and their services! Would definitely recommend!!

I work in the industry and know the best vendors around. When it was my time to get married, I knew Top Hat would be covering my entertainment. Mike and Tyler were fabulous! I communicated with both of them very often, which was so helpful when planning. They covered the entertainment, lights and photobooth. Tyler had everyone dancing all night, and was super flexible and friendly with myself and all my guests. I highly recommend using Top Hat if you want the best entertainment in Vermont, hands down.

My husband and I married in June 2017 in southern Vermont and we had MacInroe as our amazing DJ from Top Hat. We have him to thank for the incredible event that our celebration turned out to be! We loved our experience with Top Hat and would recommend them to anyone! As an out-of-state couple, it was difficult to hire wedding vendors without recommendations, since we did not have an opportunity to meet everyone we hired before getting things set up with them. Top Hat was recommended to us by some other couples, and we’re so glad they were. From the beginning, they were very responsive and helped guide us through the process of choosing music, making sure we didn’t miss anything. On the day of, Tyler (our DJ) kept everything on schedule, checked in with us about timing, and made sure we knew what was going on and when certain things would happen (bouquet toss, cake cutting, etc.). He stayed later than we planned and kept playing, because our guests were having such a great time. He worked closely with the catering manager as well, to ensure a smooth and fun day for us. My only recommendation would be to meet with your DJ beforehand, even if it’s just a day or two. Tyler ended up wanting to check in with us about some things day-of, during cocktail hour, and we just wanted to get out there with our friends and family. Coming from out-of-state, this was hard to work out, but I wish we had been able to meet ahead of time, even for an hour or so. Other than that, everything was perfect and we’d recommend them hands down!

Top Hat did an amazing job! They were responsive and very easy to work with in the planning stages. We had Tyler as our DJ. After speaking with him for only five minutes, we knew that he was going to make the reception a great dance party. He was professional and made us feel very comfortable. We had so many compliments on the music. Our guests couldn't wait to dance (even before dinner was over). Tyler did a great job of reading the crowd and kept them going on the dance floor. They also provided our photo booth which the guests loved. We can't wait to see the photos! We could not have been happier with Top Hat!!

Everyone we worked with at Top Hat was professional, responsive and a pleasure to work with. The service provided by our DJ (Rob Jones) was above and beyond what we could have expected. From the ceremony music, to the lighting, and stellar playlist it was nothing short of perfection. Rob did an exceptional job controlling the mood and ambiance, tailoring the play list to our guests and was nothing but accommodating throughout the evening. The whole Top Hat team was very responsive from the moment we emailed them to inquire a quote. They listened to all of our requests and made sure not to play anything that was on the "do not playlist" even if guests requested it. We used Top Hat as our music for our cocktail hour and reception at our barn wedding in Arlington, VT. Damon did a spectacular job! He was very professional, had a great presence and was on top of all of the details. We requested a mix of spanish music (salsa/merengue) as well as the usual dance music and he did a great job of mixing the two up and keeping both sides of our family happy and dancing! He was even attentive to our timeline with our photographer, pulling us aside to make sure we did our cake cutting and mother-son/father-daughter dances while she was still with us. I received multiple comments from guests stating how great the DJ was, open to suggestion and playing the perfect mix of american and spanish styles to keep everyone happy. We couldn't have been more pleased and happy with Damon. His professionalism and experience made our evening a wonderful hit!

Tophat did our ceremony music, cocktail hour, and reception and everything was spectacular. Mike was our DJ and the guy flat out knows what he's doing. Before the wedding, Mike took a good amount of his personal time to hear about who we are what type of people our guests were. He encouraged a lot of our musical selections and did an excellent job making suggestions to help streamline everything. Unfortunately, our outdoor wedding was moved inside due to weather. Within ten minutes, Mike had everything set up at our alternate venue with a big smile on his face. During the reception, Mike was diligent in checking in with us to make sure that everyone was having fun (of course they were). We had people on the dance floor the ENTIRE night and we have received so many compliments on the music which is a testament to Mike. Mike even played a few extra songs for us when everyone was visibly bummed that the party was over. Mike was not only a great DJ and MC, but he's truly a great guy as well who clearly loves what he does. Top Hat Entertainment provided a photo booth and props for our Junior/Senior prom. The girl manning the booth (wish I could remember her name...sorry) was fun and energetic and kept the line of students utilizing the photo booth in control and moving smoothly. Everyone, including chaperones, had their turn in the photo booth! All aspects of the photo booth from setting up to taking down went smoothly! We knew we wanted a DJ and talked with many vendors before signing with Top Hat Entertainment. From the moment I spoke with Mike, I knew things clicked. He had the same values and ideas of how a dj should function at a reception and he was a great communicator.
At our event, Mike was incredible – way more than just our dj. He stepped in with our cake cutting and timeline to make the evening run smoothly and efficiently for us and our guests when our wedding coordinator left during the ceremony! We really could not believe how amazing he was and always communicated. He had the best presence at our event and was an amazing part of our team - we feel so lucky to have had him there for our big day. As for music and dj-ing, he did everything right – played the songs we requested prior and kept the night flowing and people on the dance floor all night! He even made some shout outs to us so we remembered to dance the night away. He was beyond wonderful!
Elissa, our photobooth attendant, was so sweet and personable and easygoing with our guests. She kept the photobooth running smoothly and even got us in to the booth to take a photo before the night got to crazy! We so appreciated that so we have that momento now. We also got the copies of our photos so quickly after the event. They are on top of it!

Mark was our DJ for our wedding, and I never thought that I would get this many compliments on our music! He was professional, responsive, and was able to read the crowd. There was never a moment that the dance floor had less than 20 people on it, and the only reason that it was 20 was because the rest were waiting in line for the photo booth! Top Hat was able to help us direct our guests to use their photobooth strips in our guest book, and my now husband and I spent our first married night laughing over the pictures. Our night was completely made by Top Hat!

We had a really great experience with Top Hat for our september 6th wedding. We had heard Damon (DJ) playing at our venue tasting and knew we wanted to hire him right away. He was extremely professional and you could tell he was very experienced. We had been to many weddings where the DJ was really cheesy and constantly talking into the microphone, or playing music way too loud so we were really hesitant about having a DJ. Damon didn't encompass any of these traits! He played amazing music and at the appropriate level. We received so many compliments on the music at our wedding. The whole process was seamless with setting up the contract and everything. They were definitely my easiest vendor to deal with, which is a nice relief for a bride. Highly Recommend.

Our DJ Mark was incredible for my wedding on June 7th. We used Top Hat to DJ our wedding and also provide equipment rentals for a morning event. They were completely organized, professional, and engaged throughout the process. Daren Cassani was the DJ for our event and he was fantastic. He listened to all of the requests we had prior to the wedding, was very organized the day of, and added a great personality lining up the wedding party and running the show at night. He did not try to make it about him at all and played great music. The dance floor was packed all night. After the night was over, I still had speakers from the morning event in my car and he went out of his way to wait for 30 minutes to get the speakers that night to minimize any issues for us after the event. This was above and beyond what was necessary and we really appreciated the service. I would definitely recommend them for your wedding or event.

My wife and I hired Top Hat Entertainment to provide music for the cocktail hour and reception. We were very happy with their results. Mike was attentive and generous with his time when we met to discuss our preferences and brainstorm ideas. During the reception, Tyler played music that appealed to guests of all ages. Top Hat did a great job at our reception. Mike was our DJ for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and everything was very smooth. He knew volume was a concern I had for some of our older guests and he even checked in with me during cocktail hour to make sure the volume was good. He played all of our requests (even some more obscure selections) and took requests from our guests and kept the party going until the very end of the night. We also had a photobooth from Top Hat and it was a big hit. They brought along a huge set of props and we have copies of every photo, even my grandma with her grandkids in funny hats - priceless!

Mike was amazing from start to finish. He was accommodating and supportive and happy to share his experience with us when we had questions long before the day of the wedding had actually arrived. Mike and his crew did such a fantastic job at our wedding! They were so pleasant to work with, worked in the toasts, first dances, and other requests seamlessly, and were super flexible. They really responded to our do-play and don't-play requests, and even helped us sneak in a surprise flash mob. It was so nice to be able to sit back and relax knowing they had the whole reception in control. And the photobooth was fantastic! DJ Nick was awesome! We provided only a short list of songs we wanted and had a 5 minute phone conversation about preferences and he nailed it! Nick kept the party flowing and the beats pumping! He was able to read the crowd and play music appealing to all ages, while keeping the dance floor packed from 8pm-1:30am, which is exactly what we were hoping for! Top Hat was GREAT! We had Nick as our DJ at The West Mountain Inn. Top Hat works with that venue a lot, which means they really know it-- what sort of electrical outlets are where, how big the space is... so you don't really worry that the DJ will have a hard time setting up.

Nick played everything we asked for, stuff we didn't ask for, but loved, and kept everyone dancing. He didn't speak too much or too little. Very fun and tasteful and not cheesy [which was my fear, having been to a lot of family weddings in the 1980s...]

We actually also had karaoke the night before the wedding-- at a BBQ. Nick was a great DJ for that as well.

Really professional and also personable. Totally recommended.

Nick is at the top of his game. Despite the pouring rain and adverse conditions, Nick mic'ed our ceremony and reception flawlessly. His enthusiasm and excitement during the announcements had the crowd of 130 cheering like mad and made us feel like royalty. He kept the night moving along smoothly and on time. I hired Top Hat to DJ my wedding at the Mountain Top Inn and would gladly recommend them for your event.

The office in South Burlington was very friendly and helpful throughout while Damon, the DJ at the ceremony and reception, excelled at everything we asked him to do. He was sure to play the songs I had provided him (and not play the ones that we did not want) and checked in with me frequently during the reception to make sure my guests and I were enjoying the party.
