Beautiful Venue!

We can't say enough great things about Weddings by Timacuan! Not only is the venue beautiful, but it's huge! There is so much space to play around with and your money really goes a long way. Alexys was responsive, organized and helpful with any questions we had. When she went on maternity leave, Dana picked up right where she left off and helped us leading up to the wedding. Dana went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! It honestly felt like she was family who genuinely wanted our wedding day to be everything we dreamed of.
We used the groom/bridal suite to get ready, and it was spacious and comfortable. We were always being checked on for anything we needed (drinks, food, etc.). The entire staff was so kind, and we rarely had to ask for anything because they were on point! The food was INCREDIBLE! I'm so glad my husband and I were able to sit down and enjoy it, and our guests described the food as "fire!". Everything was delicious and they even made us "go to" boxes.
From start to finish, working with Timacuan was amazing! They made our wedding coordinators job easy and helped make sure everything ran smoothly. If you are on the lookout for a wedding venue, definitely check out Timacuan!

Professionals!!

This Vendor is the Best. They were there the entire step of the way and they was able to make our vision/dream come true. As a matter of fact, most of our guest told us that our wedding was one of best weddings they have ever attended. What a compliment!! That is because the staff was absolutely great to be around. It seemed as if they were our family because that is how we were treated. Thanks again, Timacuan, you rock!!

Beautiful Venue

My mom and I toured this site and fell in love. The gorgeous chandeliers are to die for. Then add the draping over the beautiful exposed beams, exquisite. The venue was beautiful, but the food was amazing.

We had a Buffett to accommodate some of our guests religious dietary needs. Philippe ensures we had everything we needed to blend the cultural and religious needs. The food was delicious. After the wedding, guests continued to tell me how much they enjoyed the food. Knowing that we weren’t able to eat much during our wedding, Philippe had three boxes of food sent back to the hotel with us.

Some of our guests required additional accommodations for their religion and Philippe made it happen. He turned a downstairs room into a prayer room ensuring the room faced east. He also prepared prayer clothes for the guests to kneel upon during their prayers.

We were so please with how everything was coming along during the planning process, that we decided to have our rehearsal dinner at Timacuan as well. The food did not disappoint.

This place is a gem and we would highly recommend it for your next event.

Choosing Timacuan was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding.

David runs all of the operations for the weddings hosted at Timacuan and he is second to none. David helped us prepare for numerous aspects of the wedding we never expected to address and always had multiple options for us to choose from, it is very apparent how much David cares about your event and how much knowledge he has about the challenges that couples run into. I am very grateful for the attention to detail and the commitment David has for the wedding. The planning and organization was perfect and on the day of the wedding he will ensure everything goes according to plan, not sticking to a strict schedule and always feeling out the mood. One of my biggest takeaways was how masterfully the event was managed.

The venue was beautiful, it fit everything we could have ever hoped for, and the food was unbelievable. We opted for the dessert table and coffee which was exquisite and somehow the food was even better than at the tasting.

Beautiful place, wonderful staff, unbelievable delivery of service I cannot recommend this place enough.

The staff at Timacuan exceeded my very high expectation in every area. Delicious menu selections expertly prepared,flawless service,ecpert attention to ven the smallest detail.

Timacuan country club is a great value and a great place to have a wedding. We did the ceremony and reception there. We did not have a wedding planner and David was extremely helpful in assisting us through the ceremony and reception. They also have a list of preferred vendors that they trust so I was not fearful in choosing a photographer and DJ since I knew they had Timacuan country clubs blessings.

Words cannot express how happy I am that we Chose Timicuan for my Birthday party. The venue is remarkably beautiful & comfortable. Let David Deassis be your guide, because the Timacuan Golf & Country Club cannot be beat. The venue is beautifully appointed and well maintained. The staff is beyond professional and anticipate your needs. The location is perfect and fits many needs for an event. And I'm just getting started. The food is five star, prepared on site, will bowl your guests over, and don't sweat it, future bride and groom, David will make sure you get to eat too (he will fight tooth and nail to ensure your wedding is as fun for you as it is your drunk cousins). Want to be impressed? David knew beforehand that our date was on daylight savings, would have no issues with outside natural lighting due to the clouds staying to the east on our wedding day, and took the necessary precautions to prepare us for a crazy night because of a full moon. Ok I made the last one up, but before the night was over, two of our bridesmaids independently? asked to hire him to do their weddings, because Mr. Deassis is the destroyer of maligned weddings and the bearer of joy, fun, and most importantly, a perfectly executed plan on our most important wedding night. I can not rave enough about our experience with having our wedding at Timacuan. David, the wedding coordinator, is exactly what every bride wants. My husband and I had tons of questions throughout our 14 months of planning with David and not once did he ever make us feel annoying. He always was quick to respond. And had TONS of advice for us along the way. I knew on our big day we were in the most amazing hands solely because I knew David was in control of it all. The venue is stunning. The food was delicious!! We have everyone tell us how much fun our wedding was and how gorgeous it was. I wish I could do our wedding over and over! My daughter had a first class wedding at Timacuan Country Club!! The venue was classy, the food delicious and David helped pull it all together.

Our wedding reception was at Timacuan and the venue was absolutely perfect! The weather on November 5th 2016 was exactly what we hoped for. David DeAssis was such an amazing help with all the details, big or small. He made our wedding a dream come true. From the decor to the food, it was amazing. We had right at about 150 attend our wedding and there was so much space to mingle inside or outside on the terrace. I am so glad we chose Timacuan as our venue and I'm sure everyone that has gotten married here will say the same. Again Big thank you to David and his team.

David DeAssis and his team is just amazing. When my fiancé and I were getting estimates for our wedding I told her we will never get an estimate and sign the same day. Well after one hour with David I signed. The guys is just amazing. So funny I left every meeting almost crying with laughter. He's also very professional and has an answer or solution for everything. I recommend David and his team 100%. I still have ppl complimenting my reception and David and they all say our party was flawless.

Timacuan is absolutely elegant and holds a high standard of class from the way they greet you to their food selection, it's amazing. There are few events in a person’s life that creates so much tension and stress. If you are blessed to have found that special someone planning a wedding is one of those said events. My new wife and I spent countless hours searching for the perfect venue. We visited a few and while they were nice it didn’t have that ‘IT’ factor we were looking for. Then my mother told us to check out the newly renovated Timacuan Country Club she heard about. The pictures online don’t do it justice. It’s absolutely beautiful! Look at the pictures and just know that you will be pleasantly surprised when you actually visit the club. One thing you can’t experience however through pictures is David DeAssis. Wow, what a character, what a person. From the onset you need to be prepared for his directness, promptness, professionalism, and absolute care for making your day 100% perfect. I remember sitting down for our first meeting and thinking to myself this place could look like crap but David himself is worth the price of admission. I can’t say enough good things about him from beginning to end. All I can say is you are in the best hands with David. One thing you will also notice is that his leadership extends down to his staff. They are some of the nicest, hard-working, and professional people you will come across. They made my wife and I feel like we were at a 5 star establishment and it is clear that is exactly how David wants it. The way we were treated was second to none. I more than highly recommend Timacuan Country Club not only because of its beauty and renovations but because of David. Without him the experience is not complete.

David, the Director of Operations, was absolutely phenomenal. Throughout the entire planning process, he was ALWAYS available to bounce questions off of - typically responding in less than an hour or two. If you are planning on getting married here, don't bother hiring a wedding planner or day-of coordinator because you will be wasting your money. David knows weddings like the back of his hand, and he was truly a joy to work with. The few small hiccups we had on the wedding day were quickly dealt with without adding stress to my morning. Most people say that weddings always run behind - mine was perfectly on time. In fact, we were ready a few minutes early for everything.

The cost per head is a little bit higher than quoted elsewhere, but it includes EVERYTHING - full meal, alcohol, champagne toast, hors d'oeuvres, linens, etc. Even the CAKE was included in the price per head. Yes, the Cake - one less bill to pay elsewhere! So once you start adding all of that into the other venues' quotes, you reach the same amount very quickly. We also did the Venetian Dessert Station, which was a HUGE hit - almost all of the dessert was gone! The actual rental fee for the space is minuscule compared to the $1,500-$4,000 rental fees I had quoted at other venues, so that was a huge bonus for me, as I was able to allocate that money elsewhere. Speaking of the venue, it is GORGEOUS. I did very minimal decorations, as the big wooden beams, crystal chandeliers, gigantic windows, and marble bar & wall spoke for themselves. If you want Wow-factor, this venue has it. My wedding of 110 fit perfectly in the ceremony and dining spaces without having to squeeze anyone, or feeling like a big empty ballroom.

Overall, my wedding had rave reviews, from beginning to end. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a venue.

We had our wedding December 20, 2015 at Timacuan Country Club and our friends and family are still talking about it. We are from out of the area but wanted to have our wedding around Orlando for ease of travel for family and friends. We found Timacuan through wedding wire, and looked at about six other places before our seventh visit at Timacuan when we knew we found the right place. What can be said about David that hasn't already been said? He truly made the experience perfect. From the first phone call to the first meeting, to the end of the reception he was a true professional and made my wife and I feel so comfortable and confident in the service that would be provided and the venue. David was always available via phone or email no matter how big or small the question was. On the wedding day he made sure that everything went off flawlessly. I had numerous guests commenting on the quality of the food and asking us how we found David and Timacuan. As another added bonus, the photographer (Cornerhouse Photography) and the DJ (DJ Vince Roeshink) were from the preferred vendors list that we received, and were amazing. Timacuan is already a beautiful venue to have a wedding, but the service that David provided elevates it even more.

After considering several venues in the Orlando area ( A monumental task all on its own ) our daughter chose Timacuan Golf and country club. The words Extraordinary, Outstanding and Phenomenal all come to mind. David DeAssis, Director of Operations is truly amazing. Always going over and above to assure that this day is all about the Bride and Groom and that everything and I mean everything runs smoothly. How David achieves this is a mystery to me but he makes it appear effortless. From beginning to end no detail large or small is overlooked. The food fabulous, our DJ, florist, photographer, Photo Booth, officiant all recommendations From David's preferred vendor list were spectacular. My husband and I can't thank everyone enough for giving us as well as family and friends not to mention the Bride and Groom A truly magical evening. Excellence is something we all hope for but understand is very hard to achieve .......however for us, excellence was surpassed.

Let's just say we are speechless. Between the venue, the food, and David (Director of Operations), this is the perfect place for a wedding. Everything, we could have hoped for happened at our wedding. Our guests can't stop talking about how beautiful the wedding was! David was born for this job. He made sure everything went exactly how it should on the wedding day and prior. We were in constant communication and not once did I ever feel stressed about planning. I could email him about anything. He told me what would and wouldn't look good for the wedding even. I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else. I have attended disorganized weddings where the bride has to be involved in decisions on wedding day. Nope not here, it was perfect! Apparently, due to the wind right before the ceremony a vase with flowers had broken and he had it fixed in 2 minutes. The guests were amazed at his response. I had no clue until the reception that had happened. As far as cost goes, this venue is extremely reasonable. Our wedding included quite a few additions to what the normal package includes. We had chiavari chairs for the ceremony and reception, 6 high top cocktail tables, 4 panels of drapery, an upgraded cake, and an open bar. We also had 139 people attend. Linens are included as well! The only reason flexibility wasn't rated 5 stars is because you do need to make sure you abide by the contract terms, such as only vendors with a business license and insurance can be at your wedding. Essentially, no hiring of friends. I had no problem with this however, it is good to know. It is all in the best interest of the bride/groom and the guests. On the wedding day you also can't bring in outside food for lunch if you were planning to be on site all day and get ready in their fabulous bridal suite, just an additional minor expense to keep in mind. The bridal suite is one of a kind and will produce the most amazing pictures. Timacuan is simply wonderful!

I would like to share with everybody who is thinking of having there special day at Timacuan Country Club to definitely book it here! My daughter had her"DREAM WEDDING" here , David was amazing !!!! he had the whole process under control and it all went off without a problem. He kept every thing moving on schedule and was very pleasant person to work with, always keeping the bride and grooms cares and concerns in mind first and foremost . The food was amazing , I have been to many weddings and the food is always just so so,here , all my guest and I mean all my guests raved about the food, it was the buffet and just delicious and the butler served cocktail hour food just as delicious . The room is really beautiful , the chandeliers and draping just set the room off so elegantly. Nothings better than to hear you daughter tell you she had her dream wedding! David at Timacuan is the perfect wedding coordinator! He genuinely cares about each couple he works with and ensures that every detail is flawless and creates the exact wedding that you envision. Timacuan is an amazing, recently renovated venue that perfectly blends modern flair with rustic charm. It offers beautiful outdoor and indoor ceremony locations, sleek bar, and gorgeous formal dining room with dance floor overlooking the golf course (gorgeous at sunset!). The transition from our outdoor wedding to cocktail hour on the terrace to the formal reception inside was seamless and enjoyed by all. Our guests could not stop exclaiming about how delicious the buffet dinner was, each piece of which we hand selected with David’s guidance. If you are looking for an all-inclusive venue and someone to help you create your dream wedding, look no further, Timacuan and David are it!

David at Timacuan is absolutely amazing. I did not have to worry about the reception because I knew he would take of everything. He managed the timeline and worked seamlessly with our DJ, Marc Burgess. We booked Timacuan over a year in advance. Over that time period, we exchanged several emails and had several phone calls. He was literally ALWAYS available. On our wedding day, the venue looked even prettier than I had imagined. It was perfect. We received countless comments on how pretty it was, how wonderful the food was, and even how great the bar service was. Without hesitation, I would recommend Timacuan Country Club to everyone.

Absolutely Wonderful!!! Timacuan Country Club was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding reception. From the very first phone call to David until the night of the wedding I did not have any worries about our event. David is wonderful and his expertise created a dream come true for my daughter. Every question, concern, idea and request was listened to and discussed. With David's knowledge and experience I went into the wedding day confident and excited because I knew I did not have to worry about ANYTHING! When I arrived at Timacuan the day of the wedding-words cannot describe the joy I felt. It was BEAUTIFUL! The food was absolutely amazing. Our guests are still talking about it. Timacuan Country Club was the best choice we made. Not only are we happy about the evening but our guests (over 200) ALL complimented it as well. I can't thank David and Timacuan enough for making my daughter's wedding day a treasured memory.

My wife Liz and I had our reception with David at Timacuan on June 13th. The venue was decorated gorgeously and David provided us with a perfect evening. The food was spectacular and our guests are still complimenting us. We had one snafu with our cake vendor (they forgot to make our cake because they misplaced our paperwork) but David got on the phone with every baker he knew and informed us that if our vendor didn't pull through (thanks to some help from David, they did) he ensured us his people would get us a cake one way or another. We can't recommend David and his services at Timacuan enough. He was a large reason we booked at Timacuan and we were NOT disappointed.

David is truly a professional! If you have your wedding at Timacuan Country Club you will not be disappointed!!! David made sure that the night went smoothly, and even the vendors he recommended to us were fabulous! Our wedding was just what we wanted, and we didn't worry a bit, because we knew David had everything under control! In addition to having a fabulous coordinator, the space itself is just beautiful. The chandeliers are so stunning, that you can have minimal decoration and the space looks like a million bucks!

The Operations Director, David, made himself available to address any questions or concerns he had. He was even able to make it stop raining so our event could be held outdoors two hours after the last showers. Our guests commented on the quality of the food and we repeatedly heard is was the best wedding food most guest had ever tasted. The beautiful event went on without a hitch. We were pleased with the efforts that David and staff made to make our day special.

The venue is so beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. Some of my friends have more pics of the venue than of the people. The food was just amazing, everyone at the wedding was coming up to me saying how great the food was. We also had the Venetian Dessert Station, best desserts ever... Lemoncello shooters amazing... David DeAssis the planner is the most efficient, professional, accommodating and personable individual I have ever worked with. He was fabulous. The wedding was just most perfect day anyone could ever want. I would highly recommend Timacuan Golf and Country Club for any type of event they are having. Definitely 5 stars all the way.

Our wedding reception was absolutely beautiful. Timacuan has a rustic theme to it with beautiful high beams. There is also a hint of charm and romance with the amazing chandeliers. The food was fantastic as well- we had multiple guests come up to us to complement the food. David, the coordinator for Timacuan, made sure that everything was running smoothly from day one. He paid attention to every detail and made sure everything was to my liking. He was also very good at communication- answering all my emails very promptly. Everything about our reception was perfect! I highly recommend Timacuan!

From day one, my wife and I knew we were in good hands. Immediately after meeting David we trusted him implicitly, it was at that point we knew Timacuan was the only destination we would consider for our reception. His guidance, organization, and planning helped us see a vision for our wedding day. The execution he delivered on our wedding day was absolutely perfect. The entire day was flawless and we could not be happier.
Many of our guests went out of their way to let us know how great the reception was. Many also commented it was the best wedding reception they have ever been to. I am sure they may have been a bit biased but we will take it ;)

First of all, the venue is gorgeous. When my fiancé (now husband) and I were shopping around for our ceremony and reception spot, this was the one place that we stepped inside, looked at each other, and just knew it was absolutely the place for us. They recently (in the past few years) remodeled with gorgeous chandeliers, a striking bar area, and a cozy and modern bridal suite and locker room for the gentlemen. For our meal, we chose to do a buffet instead of a plated service, and the food was amazing! Our guests could not stop talking about the dinner selection, and even my father (a self-proclaimed food snob) was incredibly impressed and proclaimed it was hands-down the “best wedding food I’ve ever had.” David DeAssis, operations manager, acted as the day-off coordinator in addition to helping us every step of the planning process in making the necessary decisions leading up to the big day. We will also be eternally grateful for David’s quick responsiveness and flexibility during our event, as we had a bit of a “family emergency” mid-ceremony (everyone is okay though, thank goodness!) David took charge when we needed him to, and kept our event flowing as close to “as-planned” as possible. All in all, it is a lovely venue and you should definitely check it out!

Planning every detail of a wedding isn't easy! However, David not only MADE it simple but offered suggestions regarding food, vendors, etc that gave me peace of mind! I had many guests that were impressed with the meal AND appetizers ("best food at a wedding ever!") and the venue was gorgeous! We felt like we had our very own wedding planner with David! The rest of the staff was also friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone at Timacuan for making my daughter's wedding day memorable and as worry-free as possible for a mother of the bride!

David and his team are very professional and it was a pleasure working with them. Timacuan Golf Club was the perfect wedding and reception venue for our daughter's wedding. From our first visit mid-renovation, we knew it would be the perfect setting. David, the Director of Operations, provided us with our package options, and made suggestions regarding every detail, based on his experience. He guided us with food choices, schedule of events and set up. David responded to every email immediately, even when he was not working. The venue is stunning-from the patio overlooking the golf course where the ceremony was set up, to the elegant chandelier room with gorgeous bar. The fireplaces, both inside and out, added great ambience to the already perfect setting. All of the food was as delicious, as David promised. I would definitely recommend Timacuan to anyone looking for a wedding venue with elegance, high quality food and an overall positive experience.

I had both my wedding and rehearsal dinner at Timacuan. I wish I knew how to express what an amazing experience we had!
The venue itself was perfect. We had just over 200 people and no one felt crowded. Plus, the outdoor patio was a popular spot for our guests after dinner. The food was amazing and everyone said the dessert bar we chose was perfect. The staff was so friendly and helpful.
I had no idea what went into planning a wedding, but David, the Director of Operations, worked with us closely every step of the way. He was accessible, honest, and accommodating. Anything I wanted, he took care of. Any questions I had (and there were many) he responded quickly. It was so nice to work with someone who grows to know you so well that they can anticipate what you'll like or what you'll need. I didn't stress about a single thing the day of my wedding, and I could not be more grateful for David and for Timacuan. Truly a perfect experience.

Our wedding couldn't have been anymore PERFECT and AMAZING. David at Timacuan was amazing from the start. He made our vision come to light and made sure our day was exactly how we wanted. Timacuan Golf & Country Club is by far the most luxurious venue for a Central Florida wedding. This venue provides a coordinator, which is a huge plus. His name is David and his expertise alone is enough reason for them to justify their pricing. David will not only create a wonderful wedding for you, but he will anticipate any hiccups that might occur along the way so that there is a plan in place in case a problem arises. He remains calm when everything else seems hectic too. On the day of the wedding, David even let my parents and I see the kitchen (something most venues hide) and it was the cleanest kitchen I have ever seen. Every one of the staff members introduced themselves to us too. I especially remember Kim, because she treated every one of my wedding guests as if they were her own family. The food at Timacuan was fresh and delicious. All of my guests complimented the food, and they're still talking about it. We had Mahi Mahi Picatta, Filet Mignon, and Chicken Marsala. We also had a dessert bar with more desserts on it than there were guests. Every wedding guest has told me that they felt like they were at an exclusive event and I have Timacuan, David, and his team to thank for that.

Timacuan is a beautiful location and David is wonderful. Even in July it was nice and breezy for the outside ceremony and the inside location for the wedding was absolutely perfect. David was great to work with and very quick to respond to any emails. I would recommend this location to anyone. They have a great room for the bride to get ready in with plenty of space and beautiful backdrops for pictures. Being able to go out on the course for pictures after the wedding was wonderful and I know they will be great shots. Thank you David for a wonderful night.

David is great. He's very professional, pays attention to detail and makes sure that the day is perfect not only for the bride and groom but for the guest as well. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The venue looked beautiful, the food was outstanding and the Timacuan staff are very delightful people. We had an amazing time. Planning a wedding is a job within itself and can be stressful but David made it as stress free as possible. From beginning to end he was on top of everything. Made sure that all went according to plan. Even in the mist of so many appointment changes, last minute details or mishaps in between, David was patient and assured me that everything will be fine and that I will have the best wedding reception. My wedding at Timacuan was an absolute joy. There was nothing about the day that I would change, and that is largely due to David and the staff at Timacuan.

Timacuan was the first and only venue that my husband and I visited. Once we met David, I was hooked. We knew we wanted a venue that could accomadate our non-traditional wedding, and David was instrumental in making sure we got exactly what we wanted. He also participated in some of our weird traditions at my mother's insistance- he certainly won her over, and that is no easy feat. We had more than enough room to have game tables, a photobooth, and plenty of space for all of our guests. The decor of the venue itself is stunning, and even if we hadn't decorated ourself, it still would have been a beautiful wedding.

We had both the ceremony and the reception at Timacuan. The ceremony space was the perfect size for our 65 person wedding. Intimate but not too crowded. I had planned for an indoor ceremony due to it being July, and I am so glad that we did. David helped our tiny bridal party every step of the way before, during, and after the ceremony.

David is worth his weight in gold, and then some. He helped us plan everything- the food, the timeline, our other vendors...I know that our day wouldn't have been as special as it was without his help. Nothing went wrong. There were NO headaches, NO surprises. My husband and I had a stress free day!

The food at Timacuan was amazing. David even brought us a plate of hot appetizers during pictures, which was a touch that my husband loved. Our guests raved about the food, and many went back for seconds of the prime rib. The service staff was also amazing, and our guests commented on how friendly and thoughtful they were.

My husband and I are so, so glad that we got married at Timacuan. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

Where to begin? David DeAssis and his staff at Timacuan were gifts from God! They made our wedding reception truly unforgettable. Over and over our guests raved how perfect, beautiful, smooth and fun our reception was, and we owe SO much to David! Really, I heard the word perfect used several times!!

First, David--he is one of the most hardworking people we've ever met and was an absolute JOY to work with! He puts his heart into everything about your wedding. He meticulously oversaw and took care of every little detail from the placing of the candles on our tables, providing an easel for our large guest book, saving our lives by bringing us hors d'oeuvres and hot tea at cocktail hour when we were famished and my throat was sore. We were very grateful for his astounding responsiveness to our bevy of emails over the course of our four month engagement. When some guests became rowdy, he was the utmost professional and took care of it with grace and firmness. His charisma and energy will charm you but his kindness and hardworking perfectionism will win you over! Truly, we credit him for much of how smoothly our engagement went!

Second, Timacuan--you MUST visit to see for yourself the absolutely GORGEOUS, stylish, tasteful and elegant venue that it is! We had seen two other country clubs in the area and they were ho-hum. As soon as we walked into the ballroom, our jaws dropped. The tall ceilings, the awesome chandeliers, the swanky bar, the pristine and lovely bathrooms important when it comes to guests!). Then the FOOD! David had promised it was exceptional and it WAS. We had both had had our fair share of mediocre wedding food, but this clearly was in a class of its own! The filet mignon and chicken oscar duo was a big hit with our guests: very original, lovely plating, delicious veggies, and it was very filling. The biggest hit were the bacon wrapped scallops at cocktail hour! People are still talking about them!

Timacuan has recently been renovated and my fiance and I took a leap of faith and booked this as our venue without knowing what the final outcome would be. You may think this was a crazy jump we took, however if you have met with David then you know the instant connection and you know how knowledgeable he is. We had no doubt that we could put all of our trust in him and his vision. We visited numerous times after the renovations were completed and I can not express how satisfied we were with the elegance of the venue. It represents pure class. David is ALWAYS on time, ALWAYS responsive, and ALWAYS wears a smile. Even when I know he has had 9 appointments before me he still treats me like I am the one and only bride he is working with. His upbeat personality doesn't change no matter the hour or the day. I can honestly say that David is the sole reason I booked with Timacuan. I had not seen the amazing ballroom he had envisioned until it came to life, and just like David the ballroom is perfection! Go book with him today, you will not be disappointed. Our wedding was this past Saturday and he was on point, he was bringing us drinks, letting us know when we needed to be where and all of our guests were in awe of how lovely the ballroom was and how fabulous David was. It was like he was apart of the party, letting everyone know where to go and what to do. Not one person missed signing my guestbook caught them all walking in the door. It is unreal how organized he is, I sometimes think he has a twin to accomplish all of the things he does so flawlessly. David, you are amazing and I have no doubt in my mind that you are working at THE hottest venue in town and I am so proud to have been a part of something special there with you. I could go on an on and write about all of the wonderful things my guests have said but it will not matter, every bride should check out this venue as soon as possible because word has certainly gotten out about how wonderful it is.

We had a wonderful wedding ceremony and dinner reception at Timacuan Country Club. David made sure that every detail was taken care of and the event was beautiful. We had many compliments regarding not only how spectacular the inside of the venue looked but how fantastic the food was. The staff was polite, attentive, and very friendly to all of our guests. I would highly recommend the venue to any couple looking to have a beautiful and memorable event.

When my fiance and I first visited Timacuan Country Club over the summer, they were in the middle of their renovations. We booked the venue as an empty concrete shell with very little idea of what it was going to look like. But what sold me was the coordinator, David. His attention to detail is one-of-a-kind, which is exactly what you want and need on your wedding day. I think David was born to be a wedding coordinator and as a bride, I wouldn't want anyone other than him to help navigate through the most important day of my life. His experience and attention to detail took so much stress off of me during the planning process, particularly in the week leading up to the wedding. He answered all of my questions promptly and with confidence, and was the perfect professional to work with. I cannot say enough good things about David and Timacuan. Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish, and we enjoyed every second of it. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

David was the BEST, WONDERFUL and FUNNIEST person to work with from beginning to end. He is a perfectionist which I loved the most about him because It assured me that I was in good hands. He made this whole wedding process feel stressed free. I love him!! I had my moments of errors (like picking out the menu) lol we just laughed about it. He made me feel so comfortable.David made sure the reception went smoothly; even after I had my little meltdown he was able to calm me down by making me laugh and reassuring me that everything will come out right and It DID! And the place looked unbelievably Beautiful and Elegant! Without David and his team at Timacuan Country Club our wedding would not have been the amazing day it was. Where do I start.......David DeAssis and his team at Timacuan Country Club provided an incredible experience for my daughter’s wedding from the very beginning of our interaction with them through the final moments of the wedding itself. David was so easy to work with and provided assurance throughout the process. He delivered what he promised and made the day so memorable by paying close attention to every detail. The venue, which has recently been renovated, was fantastic. The duo dinner plate was the perfect suggestion and was well received by our guests. David and his staff were also great in helping to prepare the site for the day of the wedding. We didn't have a coordinator or wedding planner and we didn't regret that decision one bit! David and the staff of Timacuan executed my daughter’s vision perfectly of where she wanted things placed and how she wanted things arranged. They went above and beyond our expectations in making the day as smooth as possible for us! Many thanks to David too for the care he took with making sure my husband, the bride’s father, who is in a wheelchair, was assisted whenever needed. David treated my husband with incredible respect and kindness. We didn’t want the evening to end!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Timacuan and David! My husband and I went to Timacuan after our reception site we booked advised they were shutting down. David immediately calmed my nerves and made sure I had everything I wanted and more when we had our first meeting with him! Leading upto the event, David made sure everything was in place and never hesitated to return a phone call or email! The day of our wedding, everything ran so smooth and at no time did I have to worry about anything! Our guests have raved about the service, food, and overall experience and many have stated it was one of the best receptions they have ever been to! My husband and I felt like royalty during the planning process because David makes each and every couple feel special, not like another number coming through the assembly line. I got married only a few weeks ago in October and David made sure that the reception was flawless! Walking in to the room and seeing my vision come to life was amazing! David is extremely well organized and will always respond quickly whether by email or phone. He writes everything down and did everything in his power to accommodate my requests. I had no doubt that he would make sure everything was in place! The venue (recently renovated) was stunning, the food was delicious and everyone loved the views! Timacuan Country Club is an absolutely beautiful venue with amazing staff! From day one, David showed that he truly cared about making our wedding special...it wasn't just another event for him. He listened to what we wanted, was always available and was able to accomodate our desires and "special touches." He also used his expertise to provide us with recommendations, which was extremely helpful! During the event planning process, he made very detailed notes and updated our contract after every meeting to ensure what we discussed was captured in writing. On the day of our event, everything was as promised. The staff and service provided was exceptional, the venue was arranged and decorated as expected, and the food was just as amazing as it was during the tasting. Timacuan definitely pays attention to the details and follows through on their contract. If you are looking for a beautiful venue that is reasonably priced, has delicious food, and has exceptional staff who take the stress out of your wedding planning, then I would highly recommend Timacuan Country Club! You and your guests will not be disappointed!

I absolutely cannot say enough wonderful things about Timacuan Golf and Country Club and the director of operations, David DeAssis!!
My daughter's wedding reception was so perfect. The food was fabulous, the service was wonderful and the facility is absolutely gorgeous! David worked with us for a year to help us plan the perfect event and did just that. He is so very knowledgable in event planning and so very organized! All we had to do was enjoy the evening...he took care of the rest! Thank you David for making our daughter's special day so memorable!

This is an amazing venue! The 2013 remodel is absolutely gorgeous! I definitely recommend checking it out in person because the pictures (although beautiful) do not do it any justice. The food was glorious! It was nothing like traditional dry banquet food. The chef is so talented and all the dishes were fresh and delicious. I truly enjoyed working with David (the operations manager). I can't say enough about how great he is to work with. He is extremely professional, helpful and caring (he also has killer suits). David knows everything there is to know about weddings. He is super organized and prepared for everything! I highly recommend this venue!

I don't think I could have picked a better place to get married. Sherry and Tara the coordinators were so helpful in helping me plan everything in regard the the venue and even some things outside of their responsibilities. They acted as "Day Of" coordinators organizing all of my other vendors and that saved me a lot of $$$. They give you their cell phone numbers so they are always reachable and helped me to plan a reception that was within our budget. All my guest said the food was amazing and I have to say I was very impressed. I would recommend this location highly! It is a beautiful and romantic location and the staff was amazing. I had the perfect wedding and I could not have asked for more!

Their event planner, Sherry, is the most professional and wonderful woman for a bride to work with! She makes your vision happen no matter what. They work also are able to work with any budget. I was able to have a classy sit down dinner at almost half the cost of other caterers and venues. My guests have been raving about the food so no compromise on quality for price!! Seriously the best decision I made during wedding planning!

Seriously, BEST DAY of my life!

If you think you working with a short amount of time and think you can't have all that you want at your wedding because of it, Timacuan is the place to go! My Husband is military so trying to plan a wedding around that is rather tricky. We got engaged Thanksgiving 2014 and set a date on February 14th for a wedding date of May 24th. Yes, we planned a 150 guest wedding in 3 short months. Anything is possible with David. He provides you with a vendor list that has the top people in the area and on wedding wire which takes so much stress off of finding a good one! I have had a few friends get married and all I ever heard them say was "I can't wait for this all to be over, this has been the most stressful time ever." I had quite the opposite experience! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. There is also an AWESOME room to get ready in the day of the wedding for both bride and groom which was a hug bonus and it was at no extra charge. I wish I could relive it all over again. Enjoy every moment with Timacuan!

David and his staff were amazing! From our first meeting we were impressed by Davi's professionalism, expertise and organizational savvy. My daughter lives in DC which made planning a bit more complicated. David was only a phone call or email away - he made recommendations for some of the vendors he has worked with in the past but also worked very well with our other vendors! The food was delicious and special arrangements for vegetarians and those with food allergies - we even had someone the night of the event indicate they had a food allergy and David and his staff were able to accommodate her. The venue looked stunning! I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding for my daughter and would highly recommend Timacuan.

The manager of operations, David, is one of your greatest advantages when booking with Timacuan! The value for the beautiful venue you receive and the magnificent food can't be beaten. Our wedding night was one of a kind and went very smoothly. David is there for the entirety of the event to help make sure the timeline you come up with is followed. He does this very discreetly throughout the night and is always making sure the bride/groom and their parents are happy and well taken care of. The staff was great too. We loved having our wedding at Timacuan, so beautiful!!!! :D Chandeliers, rafters, and filet mignon OH MY!

My reception was one of the first after their renovations. In the planning stages there was yellow tape and bulldozers, but I never doubted everything would work out fine. I was right not to be concerned. My reception was stunning and elegant and two years later everyone is still talking about the potato bar, gatsby style ambiance and perfect celebration!

Timacuan is a lovely venue for a wedding. It had everything we were looking for in terms of a indoor space for a ceremony and reception, as well as rooms for the bridal party to get ready in. The onsite coordinator David is very knowledgeable about all things to do with weddings and offers great advice from food choices, to colors, to vendors and more. David is there every step of the way through the planning process, he makes sure that everything is organized and all vendors and wedding choices have to go through/ get approved by him. On the wedding day he pays personal attention to the bride and groom making sure we had everything we needed. Needless to say the wedding and reception ran perfectly on schedule and without a glitch! The venue and grounds are well maintained and the reception and ceremony rooms don't need much decorating due to their classy design (including chandeliers!). Another plus is the convenient parking lot that was more than ample for the 100+ guests. Would definitely recommend this venue. Thank you David!

We were one of the crazy couples who booked Timacuan while they were still renovating last year. David took us to the beautiful bridal room, showed us all the ideas and plans and we were hooked. Thankfully, it exceeded our expectations and is such a beautiful venue.

David is an asset to Timacuan and was very, very thorough in all the details leading up to our big day. He spoke with my Mom and myself quite often, letting us stop by some Saturdays to see different set ups, and willingly provided answers to any questions we had.

The tasting went smoothly and the food was outstanding. Our guests wouldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was....we highly recommend the splurge for carved Filet!!!

The venue itself on the day of turned out beautifully. The linens, drapping, chandeliers....everything was just as we had planned. It was nice having David be as nit picky with details as we were :) We did not utilize David as the day of coordinator per se, but he worked well with all of our vendors and our wedding planner. Philippe, in the kitchen, was always pleasant to speak with as well!

As previously mentioned, David was quick to respond to all calls or emails, which was great, however that was the only hiccup we really had. Sometimes his emails may come off short and/or abrupt, but once it was explained to us, by him, that it's just due to responding via phone and wanting to give us answers ASAP, we understood. He is a very strong personality, but it was his enthusiasm that helped sell us at the very beginning :)

Overall the venue and service was just as we had wished for and we couldn't recommend the venue more. The photos that were taken have already started trickling in and there are no bad views or backgrounds at Timacuan, which was a huge plus.

We really enjoyed having our sons 200 guest wedding at Timacaun Country Club on May 10. The venue was beautiful and unique and lent itself very well to our Palestinian/Muslim reception. The chef was fantastic and receptive to our requests about certain foods and spices.The appetizers were beautifully presented and served and our guests thoroughly enjoyed them. David really helped us come up with some great ideas to make our sons wedding special and was always available to answer questions.
As for the decorations, I dont know where to begin. Leslie did such an amazing job with the linens and back drop and chiffon draping on the ceiling , it was truly romantic.The staff was also very polite and professional.

That facilities were beautiful and the staff was very helpful. The only reason I didn't give full stars for responsiveness was that I got married 4 days after Christmas and the catering director's daughter got married the weekend before me, so close to the end I couldn't get ahold of her to save my life. Otherwise it was great. It all worked out better than expected in the end regardless of not being able to contact her the week before. We had our ceremony on the patio and reception inside. It has a real rustic northern feel with a fireplace inside and outside. For a December wedding it was divine. It truly was a beautiful site.

The food was delicious, by far the best we've ever had at a wedding. Thank you for such great service and making the entire evening run smoothly. Timacuan is a beautiful venue for a wedding! I absolutely loved how the room looked and how all my pictures turned out. The food is the BEST wedding food I've ever had and I had so many guests tell me the same. The service of the staff was great and they made sure the day was a success. David was very helpful in the wedding planning process and the day of the wedding. It can be a little pricey but it really is worth the value (and what isn't pricey when it comes to weddings???). I would recommend the venue to another bride looking for a beautiful spot to get married in Lake Mary.

Ok, so Timacuan was beautiful, however, Karen Hodges wich is the planner is never in the office she is not helpful AT ALL and NEVER and i mean NEVER returns your phone calls. PLUS on top of that 4 months after my wedding i recieved a bill from them for something i never ordered. But on a good note, the reception was beautiful the food was fantastic and the way it was decorated was increadible (they had all the Christmas decorations up already). So, if you were as crazy as i was i don't reccomend them for a reception site, however if you are a patient bride and can deal with no phone calls Timacuan is the place for you!
