My wedding at the Windmill 1/28/12 was AWESOME! Karen, the wedding coordinator promptly and efficiently handled all questions, concerns, and emails. All requests, last minute changes, and add-on's were adhered to. The day of the rehearsal and wedding, everything flowed like clockwork. At the rehearsal a few things were casually mentioned (that we like to get ready in a COLD room & that the groom had taken all beer choices-leaving no domestic or girl beer). The day of the wedding we walked into an ice cold Bride suite, and domestic's & Mike's were available at the bar! She even wore clothes to match the wedding! We sincerely appreciated her attention to detail. She is an amazing coordinator and truly made our day as special and stress free as possible. The billing department, specifically Stacy, was personable and answered any questions that arose immediately. My package was all inclusive, so I used vendors provided by the Windmill for almost everything. The bartender (I believe her name was Gina?) was so friendly and nice. By the middle of the reception she was already anticipating my drink orders and had it ready to go! Chef Le of Gold Star Catering was also a pleasure to work with. He handled my last minute appetizer add-on with ease, and the food was DELICIOUS! There was plenty to go around and all my guests walked away happy from their dining experience. DJ Joel was FABULOUS! At the ceremony the sound was clear and easy to hear. During the reception, he honored all requests quickly. He also seemed to play music appropriate to the group. Kid-friendly early on, then as the evening progressed and mostly adults were left on the dance floor he switched it up accordingly. He was incredibly engaging and entertaining, even with my strict no line-dancing rule! Ken’s Carriage Rides provided the Cinderella experience I’ve imagined since I was a little girl! The last vendor and unfortunately the only major flaw in my wedding was Pearl of Pearl’s Wedding Cakes, and while the cake was delicious (the one bite I had when we cut the cake anyway) I was left feeling quite dissapointed. With the exception of my son, I haven't spoken to anyone that even got a piece (at least 25 people) telling me that the cake was not for the 75 guests it should have been. I emailed her a picture of my dream cake in Feb 2011 and was told that she could do it. The decor on the cake looked nothing like the picture and I was told by many guests it actually looked like scary faces and not the flowers it was supposed to. I've dreamt of the way the cake would look for so long, and I'm sure you can imagine my sadness at hearing my wedding cake described this way. If she was unable to complete the request as I wanted, I really wish she would have just let me know so that I could have provided a back up option. Instead I paid an extra $100 (which she told me about 4 days before my wedding) for piping and fondant on a cake hardly anyone got to eat and looked awful. Minus, this one negative, the Windmill provided the dream wedding I hoped it would be. I recommend them wholeheartedly!!!

I can't begin to describe my daughters wedding at the Windmill Winery! It was truly amazing in every way. We planned a 250 people wedding in 6 weeks because January 21 was the only day the Windmill Winery had available for 5 months and now i know why. (Lucky 4 us) It was beautiful, every moment of it. Katie, Harold (the owner's) and Lauren were truly awesome there wasn't anything they didn't think of. They worked with us so that we could personalize it with some of our own touches. The food by Gold Star catering was beautiful as well as delicious! Thanks to all of them....I only wish i had another daughter so we could do it all again.

I had my wedding here in October 2011. All the staff bent over backwards for me to make sure I had the perfect wedding day. They are all so friendly and helpful. I honestly can't say thank you enough to them. They dealt with my bridizilla craziness and still pulled off everything I asked for. I couldn't be happier with my venue choice. I miss them already! Thanks for everything Harold and Katie!

My sister told me about The Windmill, so my fiance and i went and looked at the venue. We had not looked anywhere else... but we didn't need to. We instantly fell in love with the place. Katie made us feel completely at ease with everything! She is such a sweet caring lady and she makes you feel like your wedding is the most important thing in the world, even though she has a million things going on. If one of my requests could not be met, she made up for it in other ways. The Windmill is a beautiful place to get married! I got so many compliments on the venue and the way it was decorated. I was so happy with the service I received and I'm so sad that it is over. If you are looking for a venue I would recommend The Windmill 100 times over!

I planned my entire wedding in 11 weeks and the Windmill Winery was so conscious of my short timeline and budget. Everyone on staff was so pleasant to work with and answered all of my questions and helped so much on the wedding day. The venue is beautiful and so unique. Everyone had a blast!!

We had our wedding on April 1, 2011 and we loved this venue! The money that we saved more than made up for the drive, but as soon as we saw this place we both fell in love with it. The carriage ride into the ceremony was definitely one of the things that really stood out to me as well. You will not find another venue in the Phoenix area that has as much personality and charm as this place. The 100 year old barn was imported and the extremely high ceilings made it feel so much bigger. The landscaping is well taken care of and there are plenty of places outside for guests to lounge. The turkeys and roosters on the property were so much fun to have there and added to that shabby chic modern farm feel. Our photos turned out great with all the opportunities that the grounds provided for some fun shots. Jenny did our centerpieces and was a great contact for me to have throughout the planning process. I found all of my vendors at one of their open houses and they all provided quality and professional services. If you have any doubts about this place, you have to see it!

I find myself at a loss for words to describe our experience with The Windmill Winery and it's staff......awesome, fantatsic, phenomenal, all come to mind but don't quite cut it. Our wedding at The Windmill Winery was everything we imagined and more. Our guests continue to rave about the beauty of the venue, how unique it is, different from anything they've been to, grand and quaint at the same time.
We never visited any other venue, from the moment I saw the artist rendering of the grounds in the booth at the Phoenix Bridal Show, and met Jenny, I knew this was our venue. From start to finish Jenny and Katie were there to answer questions, offer suggestions, make changes and additions. They were so flexible, we always felt that our wedding was as important to them as it was to us. Katie is such a positive person, always happy, you can't help but smile when you work with her, no matter how stressed you are.
We used all of the vendors that were included in the package, with exception of the caterer, I highly recommend them all! Ramzay was our DJ for ceremony, cocktail hour, grand entrance, dinner and toasts, he was terrific! He was great to work with, used all of the music we selected and was very helpful with genre suggestions. He also helped coordinate with our band. Pearl made a gorgeous cake for us, it was so delicious that there wasn't a single piece left over. Now on to Jenny, again no words do justice to this lady, she is gem and I absolutely adore her! Jenny did all of the flowers, including the centerpieces of wheat that came out better than the picture I gave her becasue she added her own special touch. The bridal and bridesmaid bouquets were stunning! Jenny knows her floral and is so creative, her choices were perfect and the finished product blew me away!
We also hired M&B Sedan to transport our guests safely to the Holiday Inn Express following the celebration. This was a last minute arrangement but they were able to accomodate us (thankfully). The driver was friendly and the rate was very reasonable.
If you are considering The Windmill Winery for your wedding, stop looking, you won't find anything in the Phoenix area that will measure up, just book it while you can!

My husband and I had looked at a lot of different venues and knew that we didn't want the tradition church, golf resort, or inner city venue. We were starting to get a little discouraged because that is a lot of what you get in the Phoenix area. We came across a picture of the Windmill Winery online and decided to make the trip out for one of their bridal open houses. We live on the very west side of Phoenix so about half way there we were questioning our decision to ever head out there. Although when we arrived it was completely perfect and exactly what we were looking and waiting for. No busy streets, people, or noises; and the vintage country feel could not have embodied the both of us any better. I of course loved it right away but was even more surpised of how excited my husband was, because he of course wasn't thrilled about spending his ESPN time doing wedding things. We both knew right away that we would be getting married there, and uncertainties of the drive had almost turned into a positive. Besides the venue appearance itself the staff and owners were also the main reason we were so excited to be a part of the Windmill. They were all so friendly, down to earth, and detail oriented people. They were right on top of everything and genuinely seemed to enjoy helping us out and being a part of our big day! The day of was so easy going and organized, they set up and breakdown everything, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. The entire ceremony and reception was organized and so well run that we were able to not worry or wonder about anything, everything flowed smoothly from one thing to the next and everyone had a great time. Our flowers also turned out better than any picture or magazine I had brought in to show her, and everybody still talks the most about how beautiful they were. Thank you again to the Windmill and their staff for the most beautiful and wonderful day of our lives!!

I cannot begin to explain how AMAZING our wedding was at The Windmill Winery. My husband and I are big time wine fans and when I stumbled across The Windmill Winery's booth at the bridal show I knew I had to check it out. Well, let me tell you this venue blew my mind- everything from the awesome staff to the amazing scenery!! Both Katie and Jenny along with their great staff helped to make our big day the best it could be. They could not have been friendlier or more acccomodating with our requests. When our wedding day arrived it by far exceeded our expectations!!! Our guests are still talking about what an amazing venue and gracious staff we had for our wedding. We want to say "Thank you" again to The Windmill Winery for making our day so special! We highly recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!!!!

I cannot begin to say how wonderful my wedding was at the Windmill Winery. We were so worried about it being an hour out of Phoenix, but we rented a bus and had our guests driven down, I felt this was a MUST. Katie and Jenny were the very best. They were so flexible with our requests to move the ceremony spot to a more secluded location and to have the reception outside. In fact, they were gracious with all my requests and set up every one of my DIY visions perfectly. There is no other place near Phoenix that can compare to the charm and character of the Windmill. Jenny created a masterpiece with my wedding. The ceremony and reception decor was even more perfect then my original vision, she used cotton and grasses and other natural "found" things to pull it all together. And my bouquets....how I cannot put into words how beautiful and perfect they were? The staff was phenomenal and while I had some communication problems with their caterer and had to book a new one 3 weeks before the wedding, the value was still great. Every guest felt that I had the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to; we had a bonfire for goodness sakes! Please don’t hesitate to have your wedding here. Let the staff do what they do best, and use the property, it is just so beautiful.

Our wedding ceremony and reception went beyond our expectations. It was a little stressful and I wanted to make sure everything was perfect but whenever we had a question or needed to check and make sure things were what we wanted and were expecting Katie was right on top of it. She was so helpful and wonderful to work with! We had a beautiful wedding and everyone had a blast!

I was very happy with all of the staff at the Windmill as well as the location. My main complaint is I never saw a breakdown of overall cost for each vendor. I felt it was a great value overall but it would have been less stressful had I know what I was purchasing.

The Windmill was a beautiful venue for our wedding and reception. It was close to home and gave the perfect setting. Our wedding was beautiful and everything I had always hoped it would be. Pat and George from AZ Photos helped us so much get everything organized. If you are interested in a rural setting, you must attend one of their wine tastings or one of the bridal open houses to truly appreciate what they have to offer.

The Windmill was the first place and only place we looked at. We went down there to visit and knew this is exactly what we wanted for our ceremony and reception. The lush greens and lake for the ceremony was the perfect setting. The barn was so much fun for the reception. My guests were impressed and I got a lot of compliments on the venue.

Our wedding reception was a MEGA hit b/c of the Windmill’s staff and quality service. The setting was warm, welcoming, with country charm but not hooky or cliché. Our friends and family STILL rave about how beautiful the barn and property is and how much fun they had. The barn was different but beautiful; our guests were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the whole experience. They even loved the food! Working with the staff at the windmill was like working with caring and supportive friends, they want your day to be joyous event and memory cherished for years to come, just as much as you do. There is not one single thing I would change about they way they do business. I feel like our whole package was STEEL!
