Beautiful venue and amazing staff!

We are so so glad we went with The Whitlock Inn for our wedding reception! If the last time you saw it was before it was remodeled late 2020, you need to go see it again. This venue is so beautiful, charming and elegant. The ladies, Kathy, Janice, Lauren and Rhonda are amazing! They are so sweet and every time you talk to them you feel special. They were always available to answer any questions we had, before booking them and after booking them. Everything we discussed with Lauren and Janice on wedding details, happened just as discussed on wedding day! We had our ceremony at our church but had cocktail hour and reception here. We had a bad experience at another venue we explored before we found the Whitlock Inn and when I met Kathy for the tour it was so touching to meet someone who cares about you and your day, you could say she reinstated my faith in people who are in the wedding industry. In other words, if you are looking for a classy, elegant, charming and a touch of the South, go with The Whitlock Inn, you won’t be disappointed!

The best out there!

We hosted our wedding reception here and it was WONDERFUL! I can't recommend it enough.

The property and home are to die for gorgeous!! It has had some updates and they are beautiful, but still fit with the theme of the historic home.

The owners and other staff were so great, kind and very quick to answer questions our million questions. They organized many things for us which was so helpful, such as tent rental and setup, alcohol arrival, setup of vendors. One less thing you have to do! They were fair, attentive and thought of all the details to help us.

This is a great all inclusive venue and very fairly priced after we did a lot of searching. I would give it ten stars if I could. Do yourself a favor and go visit if you are looking for a venue.

Perfect Wedding Day!

We FINALLY had our wedding at this beautiful location on May 16. I was one of the "lucky" Covid brides. We were originally planning our wedding for April 2020. We moved our date to August and had to move again to May of 2021. The staff at The Whitlock Inn were absolutely amazing through the whole thing. Rhonda was fantastic to work with through the whole experience. She was quick to respond to all our questions and
concerns with a kind and understanding demeanor. When the day finally arrived Janice had the whole thing running as smooth as silk. After a year of craziness the wedding day went off without a hitch, fully due to their amazing staff. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen and I'm so thankful it was mine! Highly recommend!

A Dream Come True

The Whitlock Inn makes dreams come true. From our very first tour to the farewell sendoff after our ceremoy, it was nothing short of spectacular. The venue is elegant, classic, timeless. The staff is AMAZING, professional, excellent and makes you feel like family throughout the entire process! Could not give a higher recommendation with more gratitude than our recommendation for the Whitlock Inn!

Wonderful staff to work with and a great venue!

We had such a great experience working with Alexis and her staff. After we discovered the Whitlock, my then-fiance called Alexis for information and set up a time for my mom and I to tour the place. We booked our wedding before we left the place that day. Our wedding planner, Janice, was very helpful with organizing the details of the day. She even checked out a nail salon for me to take my bridal party to the day before our wedding, and she was also understanding when we had to make some last minute changes to our schedule. We had a wonderful wedding at a beautiful venue, and received so many compliments from people on the location. Thank you all for the wonderful memories you gave us at the start of our new life together!! The Whitlock Inn will always have a special place in our hearts!

Perfect wedding at the Whitlock Inn!

We had a wonderful experience at the Whitlock Inn. My daughter got married at the Whitlock in an afternoon ceremony at the end of November. Alexis (owner) and Janice (wedding coordinator) took care of everything. The facility is absolutely beautiful. The ceremony was held on the brick steps at the back of the house which provided a beautiful setting and the reception was held inside the ballroom. We had many compliments on the food, cake, and lovely facility. The weather was picture perfect and I can't think of better place to have a wedding.

Beautiful, stress-free wedding!

I can't tell you how happy I was to have chosen Whitlock Inn as my venue! They stood out immediately after we saw 3 or 4 other venues - it's the perfect place to host weddings, but didn't feel like a wedding "factory" as many others did. We ultimately chose Whitlock because of the close proximity to Marietta Square (where we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner as well), the spacious floor plan, beautiful back yard, and the extremely reasonable pricing. We initially worked with Rhonda, who is so energetic and funny, and she patiently walked us through everything and was so patient with all of our questions. After we put our deposit down, the rest was a breeze - very well coordinated and convenient. All of the ladies I contacted and worked with were so gracious and made me feel like I was their only bride! Our wedding day turned out so beautifully and everything went as planned. I really, really enjoyed our magical (and stress-free!) day, and that is owed in huge part to everyone at Whitlock Inn and Carriage House catering. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing!

Our wedding was perfect!

My husband and I (still feels weird writing that) were recently married at The Whitlock Inn and we could not have had a better experience. There are so many reasons why The Whitlock Inn was the best pick for us, but the number one reason is for the service we received. Alexis, Rhonda, and Janice were all so wonderful and were so patient with all of our questions. These three ladies were there for us through every step of the process and they truly cared about us and making our day perfect.

The service we received was such a plus, but before we knew how great they were, there were several things that were drawing us towards choosing The Whitlock Inn as our venue. The first was that it was conveniently located (within a mile) near a large hotel that could house all of our out of town guests. It was important to us that our guests were close by. Secondly, it is located across the street from the Marietta Square, which would provide many food options for our guests. We needed to make sure everyone was well fed as that is the proper Southern thing to do. Lastly, the venue was beautiful and has a deep history. After recently moving to Marietta, we wanted to share the history of our town and the beauty of the Inn with all of our guests.

The Best Experience

Our wedding at The Whitlock Inn was just perfect! I loved the charm of the house as well as the backyard space. Alexis, Rhonda, and Janice were so helpful throughout the entire planning process. You can tell they truly care about your event. They were always on top of things during the different stages of planning and so easy to work with. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone having a wedding or any other event!

Perfection

I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism and effort made by everyone at the Whitlock Inn to make my wedding day as perfect as it was. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful venue to any bride looking for a great location with an amazing staff. They are very responsive and flexible right til the day of your wedding. I had a lot of rain the morning of my wedding but we made a last minute call to have my ceremony out from under our tent since the rain stopped and their team worked hard to quickly move all of our chairs into position! Lindsey was my day of coordinator and she went above and beyond from always being available via phone/email to actually helping us transport items after our wedding was over. The icing on the cake to all of this is how beautiful the house and backyard is all year round. Go see for yourself!

Beautiful location, professional staff, excellent wedding and reception!

I am so glad I came across the Whitlock Inn. From the moment I walked in I knew this was the venue I had to say my vows in. From its wonderful history flowing throughout the inn to the gorgeous flowers in the garden, the Whitlock Inn was completely unique and full of character. I loved working with Rhonda and Alexis, they were both incredibly professional and were so detailed oriented. They made sure I never had any questions left unanswered, they made me feel so comfortable, and the entire wedding went off without a single hitch! The wedding coordinator that they have on site, Janice, was phenomenal and helped in every way possible, the caterers used in house were fantastic, and every meeting I had with them made me even more excited to use them for my ceremony and reception. Everything was perfect and stress-free, and also very affordable and covered so much! They made everything so easy!

Gorgeous venue with fantastic service-Highly recommend!

The Whitlock Inn made everything so easy for our wedding! The venue was absolutely beautiful, service was beyond words, and all of their preferred vendors were excellent. Alexis helped with our wedding and was so sweet and caring from the very first time we walked into the venue! There were numerous times I stopped by the venue during planning and spoke with Rhonda And all though she was not the one working on our wedding night you would never know it, she was so helpful. These ladies make you feel like family and will help you every step of the way! The Whitlock Inn was a great venue and I cant get over how helpful the staff was!

Perfect for a Busy Bride on a Resonable Budget

Our wedding at the Whitlock couldn't have been more beautiful! Alexis, Rhonda, and Janice were incredibly warm and made planning all the details of the day so much easier. When you walk in to view the venue it's hard not to fall in love with all the Victorian/antebellum style the inn has to offer. Plus, they have so much already included in their wedding packages that it saved us a ton on decorations. You can rest easy knowing that the Whitlock team specializes in weddings so no matter what happens your guests will be too impressed with the atmosphere and food to even notice. Simply put, without the Whitlock our special day wouldn't have been the same- thank you guys for your hand in our happily ever after!:)

Perfect venue- beautiful, supportive, budget-friendly

The Whitlock was 100% the perfect place for our wedding. I (the bride) am a medical student, and we had to plan everything from out of town, so we were not without challenges. If it hadn't been for wonderful staff (Alexis and Rhonda) at Whitlock, we wouldn't have had half the beautiful wedding we had. They also gave great vendor recommendations. We were pleasantly surprised to have "day-of" support from Janice, our wedding director. She handled a down-pour thunderstorm moments before the outdoor ceremony like it was nothing, and took such good care of day-of family drama that we didn't even know about it until the following day. We cannot thank Whitlock enough. If you want a beautiful wedding with supportive staff that is also budget-friendly, YOU SHOULD GO TO THE WHITLOCK INN!

We had an awesome experience with the Whitlock Inn for my daughter's wedding in July 2018. We only had about four months to plan the wedding, and luckily, the Whitlock was available. They were great from the planning to the execution of the ceremony and reception. Alexis and Rhonda were very helpful leading up to the wedding with advice on planning, and Janice, our wedding director, was just wonderful with the rehearsal and the day-of arrangements. They provided so much that we were able to relax and enjoy the wedding and reception! We highly recommend the Whitlock Inn!

From the very beginning, my husband and I had a feeling the Whitlock Inn would be our wedding venue. From the beautiful outdoor courtyard to the open and light reception area, Whitlock had everything we could possibly want. While they require you to use Carriage House catering, I can tell you it's a great choice. We have gotten so many compliments on the food and the venue. You cannot go wrong with the Whitlock. Everyone there was outstanding and made sure our day was absolutely perfect.

We had a tremendous experience with the Whitlock Inn and team. I was doing the planning from another state and they made it super easy. Everything came out as we planned and hoped - even better really. The venue is absolutely beautiful, we did the wedding outside and had to make a last minute call on the weather. They were super flexible. Every single person we talked with throughout the planning and event was so professional and nice. All of our guests commented on how wonderful everything was - the food was absolutely wonderful and we had plenty for our guests. Just all very easy for us to work with. I would not have changed a thing!

The Whitlock Inn gave us the wedding of our dreams! With all the beautifully decorated rooms, big front porch, gorgeous garden, and rich history, it is the perfect place for a celebration. All of our guests raved about it! Still, the best part of a wedding at the Whitlock Inn is the people. Alexis and Rhonda are incredibly kind, patient, and experienced. Thanks to them, I did not sweat the details in the days leading up to or the day of the wedding - they went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect day. Alexis was even there to help calm my nerves before I walked down the aisle. The whole day still feels like a dream. Aside from marrying my best friend, the best decision I made was selecting the Whitlock Inn as our venue.

The Whitlock Inn is a total must if you are looking for a wedding or reception venue. My partner and I held both are wedding and reception there and we couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful place. Janice and Alexa are amazing individuals and will wholeheartedly take care of you from day 1 to that special day. We could not have expected anything more. As the father of the bride, we could not have been better served than at the Whitlock Inn. My wife and daughter seemed completed relaxed with each aspect of their visits. All costs were amendable and clearly explained. We needed to add a tent at the end, and Alexis took care of that immediately. Alexis, Rhonda, and Jamie were each awesome and made a complicated reception surprisingly simple. The location is close to the church where my daughter was married, and the whole evening was memorable and seamless.

I am the sister of the bride's mother, and we were most pleased with the Whitlock Inn. Everything was perfect, and they allowed me to bring my cheese straws to merge with the appetizers. That was something I had always planned to do, and they happily allowed that.

My sister was beyond exuberant with Alexis, Rhonda, and Janice. The entire reception was outstanding.

The Whitlock Inn is the perfect place for a wedding reception. My daughter's was perfect. I was very nervous until the moment I walked in and met Alexis. She and Rhonda and Janice along with Carriage House Catering and Carithers Florist literally took care of every detail.

Alexis quickly helped us find one of the dates we were considering and let us look all around, as we started our plan. The pricing is very straight-forward and that makes it easy if you need to add something specific to your needs. Rhonda showed us the choices and offered suggestions to help us along.

About two days before the wedding, I panicked and decided we needed to add a tent. Alexis was amazing - she got the bride who was scheduled to be married earlier in the day to allow us to set up our tent, even though she didn't need it. Alexis and Rhonda added tables and left remaining tables and just did what would have seemed impossible.

The Whitlock Inn was set up beautifully just as we had asked. Alexis and Rhonda and Janice absolutely had every detail smoothly complete. Janice stayed the entire time and kept us on schedule and helped us so much getting things organized at the end.

I wish we could do it all again. I would not change a thing. They are very patient and kind and friendly. That makes all the difference in a potentially stressful time. Alexis, Rhonda, and Janice helped us every step of the way and reassured us and kept us together, haha.

This is an extraordinary place, and the house and grounds are the perfect setting. There is plenty of space and yet a very intimate feeling. The team is simply incredible!

As the brother of the bride, throughout my sister's engagement, I constantly heard about the worries going into the planning of the day. My Mom and my sister wanted to be sure that everything turned out as planned, and I can remember how pleased they were when they selected the Whitlock Inn. I am still on my post-wedding high after my unbelievable Whitlock Inn wedding! First, the Inn is a beautiful place to have your wedding! We got married in the backyard and, even in March, there were flowers blooming! We had our reception in the ballroom. We brought in our own decor, and the staff made sure that everything looked great! Even the bathrooms are gorgeous in this place! It's also in a great location, close to hotels and the Marietta Square.
Second, the service from everyone was great, Alexis and Rhonda were helpful in answering questions along the way and letting me know when it was time to contact other vendors. Janice, the day-of wedding director, was a superstar! She made me feel at ease in the week leading up to the wedding, and then ensured that everything went off without a hitch! She made sure to check with me about all the details in advance, so on the day of, we had nothing to worry about except having a wonderful time! It is obvious that they do this all the time, and they have the process down.
The food and cake came from their in-house caterer, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We went with the heavy appetizer option and they were very generous with the amount of food! Being able to bring your own alcohol, and decide beer/wine versus full bar was also a great way to save money without sacrificing anything that was important to us.
Overall, the Whitlock Inn exceeded my expectations in every way! I would highly recommend this venue!

When your daughter gets engaged, run, don't walk, to the Whitlock Inn to book her special day. After a church ceremony, we held the reception at the Inn. Alexis, Rhonda, and Janice made the planning fun and stress free. Decorated for Christmas, the Inn was absolutely beautiful. The only thing I had to concern myself with at the reception was having fun. Janice made sure every detail of the reception was taken care off. The food and cake were delicious, and the flowers on the buffet table were stunning. One guest shared that other than his own wedding, Katie's was the best he had ever attended! If I could only choose one word to describe the day, it would be magical. Thanks Whitlock Inn for helping to make my daughter's dream wedding a reality.

Our daughter was married at The Whitlock Inn in November. It was absolutelu beautiful! From our initial tour of the Inn to the send off of the happy couple, we could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. Alexis and her whole team were very professional and easy to work with. We wanted to add some special touches to the ceremony and reception to reflect the personalities of the bride and groom and they were very helpful in making that vision a reality. I can't say enough good things about the Whitlock Inn. They were so helpful and accommodating to us. My son and his bride lived out of town, but wanted to get married in Marietta to be closer to family. It was wonderful to work with a venue that handled all the details from the linens to the table decorations and the catering. The venue is beautiful and all the staff were friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The Whitlock Inn was wonderful to work with! All of the ladies were so nice, helpful, and flexible. We loved that it was all-inclusive (venue, cake, catering, food table flowers, and an awesome wedding coordinator) and that really took a lot of stress off our shoulders. And, as well, the vendors had all worked together before so they knew exactly what to do and when! Our wedding started on time, which never happens, I'm told, and went off without a single hitch. We could not have had a more perfect wedding experience at The Whitlock, from beginning to end. As soon as we walked in to tour, saw the beautiful house, and met with Alexis, we knew this was "it." The venue is beautiful and full of character. Also, being walking distance to Marietta Square was ideal for guests. We never experienced the stress so many assume during the planning process because of the amazing staff at The Whitlock. Alexis, Rhonda and Janice were a dream to work with, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything in place, and being nothing but kind every day. Trust the recommendations Alexis gives. She knows her stuff and is genuinely happy for the couples getting married here - and now one of my favorite people :)
The food from Carriage House was amazing - countless guests came to us stating it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. We decided to go with family style which was ideal because everyone ate at the same time and it just added to the welcoming feel. Everything was seamless and fun! We are only sad because the wedding is over and would love to relive it all over. Thank you for the most perfect weekend. The Whitlock will always be special to us! :)

My wife and I were married at the Whitlock Inn about three weeks ago. We had an absolutely wonderful time, and I know that my bride and her mother were incredibly relaxed every time they worked with Alexis, Rhonda, Janice, and their entire team leading up to the wedding. The Whitlock Inn was everything that I dreamed of and more for my wedding! It had everything that I was looking for: a beautiful outdoor garden for the ceremony, a gorgeous air-conditioned ballroom for the reception, friendly and accommodating staff, and delicious catering- all within my set budget! We worked with Rhonda and Alexis, both of them couldn’t be nicer, helping us from the very first steps of visiting the venue, to answering any questions we had throughout the wedding planning process, and meeting all the pre-wedding deadlines. We also had the pleasure of working with Janice who was our day-of-wedding coordinator. She did an outstanding job making sure everything ran smoothly and I can’t thank her enough for making sure that my wedding day was perfect! My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Whitlock Inn in May 2017. Words cannot describe how amazingly smooth our wedding day went thanks to the staff at the Whitlock Inn. Rhonda and Alexis handled all of our questions from the moment we booked the venue all the way up to our wedding day. Janice did a wonderful job coordinating our rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. Everything was well planned and executed smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. The grounds are very well kept and provided us with the perfect setting for our wedding of about 75 guests. The staff at the Whitlock Inn took great care of us and left us with lasting memories of our wedding day. Carriage House Catering was a great complement to the venue and served a wonderful buffet for our guests. We cannot thank everyone enough for helping us making our wedding day so perfect!

This venue was absolutely what I had envisioned for our "romantic garden" themed wedding! It was a beautiful stress free experience, with so many details that were handled by venue staff. The Whitlock Inn and their staff provided a wonderful wedding setting and experience for our daughter and new son-in-law. We were first-time bridal parents so we were appreciative for the guidance they provided, the wide variety of options they offered and the flexibility we had to plug and unplug items to and from their standard plans. We felt that their pricing was very fair and they worked well with us to stay within out budget. Throughout our planning process they were always available to answer questions and calm our anxieties. On the night of our rehearsal and the day of our ceremony and reception everything was on time, elegantly arranged and displayed and professionally supported by the staff. Our food provided by Carriage House Catering was very good and plentiful. At the conclusion, everything was quickly and expertly packed and wrapped and ready to load. We would definitely recommend the Whitlock Inn.

My advice to anyone looking for a wedding venue is to make sure that you know the number of people you are going to invite to your wedding before you sign a contract. The Whitlock Inn supplied a sit down dinner of 130 people for us comfortably. Another 10 could have fit, but more than that, tables would have had to be moved to be able to dance. It is different for buffet. The Whitlock Inn is gorgeous and a perfect venue for a wedding. Alexis and Rhonda are very attentive. They answer calls and emails immediately. A wedding planner is provided the day of the wedding. Lindsey Sessions was amazing. She kept us calm and kept the wedding flowing without a hitch. Carriage House catering also comes with the venue. One of the main reasons we actually chose The Whitlock Inn was because they had catered my daughter's college graduation party. Carriage House Catering provides excellent food and service. The wedding was fantastic. It exceeded all of our expectations.

Everything about the Inn has been wonderful! The staff, the food, the venue are all beautiful. Working with Alexis and Rhonda was a breezy. Both ladies are easy to get ahold of whenever you have a question about your event. The ladies are very organized and it makes wedding planning fun and easy. The food was also fantastic! Jeff and Laurie of Carriage House Catering were fantastic to work with. They are easy to talk to and will make sure the food for your event is perfect. Al, also from Carriage house, did an excellent job setting the tables up and making sure the linens and serving ware were perfect. The Whitlock Inn is beautiful. The house is old but doesn't feel dated. It is very tasteful with old, Southern charm. The garden at the back of the Inn is beautiful. They can really set it up however you would like. The great part about the Inn is that all the vendors are right there. Nothing to bring in expect alcohol and you take whatever is un-used home. Along with that you take all of the leftover food home! We had a lot of leftovers!!! You definitely get more than you pay for with this venues beauty, service and ultimately the wedding of your dreams!

My friend had her wedding reception here years ago, and I always remembered how lovely it was. When it came time to plan my own wedding, I knew I wanted to take a look at The Whitlock Inn. Rhonda and Alexis are both very responsive to our needs, answering our questions and meeting with us to assist in our wedding plans. We are very much looking forward to having our wedding there later this spring!

The Whitlock Inn was the perfect setting for our daughter's January wedding reception. It had snowed the night before, so some changes were needed to the schedule for the day. The staff at the Inn went over and beyond to accommodate our needs. Working with Alexis and her staff was a very pleasant experience; they were always flexible and willing to help in planning for the big day. The Inn is a beautiful setting and our daughter was able to have the "vintage winter" wedding she wanted!

Having attended a wedding reception at the Whitlock Inn two years ago, we knew what to expect: Perfection. We were not disappointed.

As parents of the bride, we were thrilled we could reserve December 10th, 2016. Alexis, Rhonda & other staff were great to work with and they took care of us. Our guest had many positive comments.

The food was well prepared.

The Whitlock Inn was elegant and charming. There were many beautiful spots inside and out for pictures.
Now that the photographer’s proofs are in, we are reminded just what a special evening it was.

I had my ceremony and reception here and it was fantastic! The women you get to work with are very welcoming, helpful, and professional. Everything about the venue is gorgeous, and it can even host larger groups. Our dog was a part of the ceremony and it was super easy to work with the Inn to accommodate that! We just can't say enough about the staff at the Whitlock Inn both in planning our special day and the actual event. They were on their game the entire time. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Both Alexis and Rhonda were always available for questions and planning. Then when we were introduced to our day-of coordinator Lindsey, we didn't know what a treasure we were getting. She kept everyone on task and always let us know what was going on and what our options were...especially when it started pouring rain 20 minutes before the ceremony. I absolutely LOVED having my wedding at the Whitlock Inn. As a non-native GA resident (form NJ) I have worked as a wedding server since I was 16 yrs. old in a number of different venues and then I moved into working in corporate events. Well, the ladies at the Whitlock Inn are some of the BEST in the business, and I don't mean just weddings, in the event world as a whole! They are incredibly flexible, knowledgeable, and really just stress-free and FUN to work with. Having my reception at the Whitlock in was the only stress-free thing about my wedding day :) I cannot thank Alexis, Rhonda, and Janice enough for their time and dedication to ensure our wedding reception was perfect. On top of the wonderful service they provide, the Whitlock Inn also happens to be EXTREMELY affordable! You really get a bang for your buck here!

I did the circle ceremony and it was so perfect. Everyone had a good view and nobody was too far back to hear. It also made it feel very personable. No other venue I've seen does this. The food was also excellent and you can bring your own alcohol which really helps with the budget.

I cannot begin to express my love and gratitude for the Whitlock Inn, along with Alexis, Rhonda, Janice, and their entire team for my absolutely beautiful and perfect wedding just a couple of weeks ago. Our experience with the Whitlock Inn was truly wonderful, and I could not have imagined my wedding anywhere else. From the moment we toured the Inn through the entire process, Alexis and her team were there for us every step of the way. They made us feel as though everything would be perfect, and it was! Everything was set up beautifully, and they simply took care of all of our worries.
They ensured all of the details were right, made all of our wishes possible, and made our night a fabulous party for our entire family and all of our friends. It was an even more incredible evening than I could have pictured, and my wedding would not have been the same anywhere else.

My advice is to consider this venue if you want every detail taken care of. If wedding is huge-more than 300-it may not work for you. Whitlock Inn exceeded all expectations in the most professional way possible! They absolutely put the "marry" in Marietta!!

The Whitlock Inn gave us our dream wedding day. We had our reception here and it was an absolute blast. The staff was enthusiastic about meeting every request we had and filled in all the blanks perfectly. We were initially worried about fitting all 150 of our guests in here, but we shouldn't have been - everyone fit comfortably with room to spare and we had a great time. The Whitlock Inn provided in-house catering and gave us recommendations for photographer and DJ, and we were extremely happy with them too. We looked at other historic houses in the Marietta/Roswell area and the Whitlock Inn had the best price. Literally the only challenge of using this venue was that they do not have a liquor license and we had to bring in our own alcohol. But overall, they definitely get the highest recommendation from us.

The Whitlock Inn is the PERFECT place to get married. We were able to have the ceremony outside in the beautiful garden and the reception inside the inn. The staff is AMAZING and they go above and beyond to make sure your day is special. All of the vendors they recommended were fantastic as well, and made the entire day magical. The entire wedding took place without any errors thanks to the on staff wedding coordinator that gets you through one of the biggest days of your life. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a venue.

The Whitlock Inn was such a perfect venue for our wedding. Everyone we worked with was so friendly, helpful and easy to work with. The fact that catering, flowers, etc. were included made planning much easier, and the house and garden were just gorgeous. Our ceremony was in the garden, which was shady and pleasantly cool by the evening even though the day had been hot. In the garden and in the house, we had plenty of room for our 125 guests but still had an intimate feel. We would definitely recommend the Whitlock Inn without reservation!

We fell in love at this place the moment we step in here.
If there were more stars on your rating board I will tick them all to the max! The Whitlock Inn is an amazing place to celebrate your marriage. We were married last June 5th and till now, our guests and family are raving about how wonderful the place is and the food was soooo delicious. I could write all day about our experience with The Whitlock Inn and I would not tire in doing that. Alexis, Janice, Rhonda and Laurie are the best people to work with. They would help you in planning your wedding, be patient while you are deciding and they are really thoughtful to check on you on how you're doing and they will basically treat you like they are your family. The place --- The Whitlock Inn --- OH MY!!! I am still in my dreamland thinking about the wedding we had, the venue is really beautiful and charming. My mom and I had visited several wedding venues before we made our stop at The Whitlock Inn. We immediately fell in love with the beautiful historic home and backyard garden and booked it the very next morning! We were impressed throughout the entire planning process as we received informative emails along the way from the staff members like Rhonda, who initially helped us book our date. The other meetings with the coordinators and catering staff seemed so effortless due to their planning and organization and helped us to feel very much at ease and prepared. Janice, our wedding coordinator, was extremely organized and helped answer all of our lingering questions before the big day. She guided our wedding party with ease through the rehearsal and during the wedding day. The venue itself was gorgeous on our wedding day! There were flowers of all sorts blooming in the back garden area where we had our ceremony. The reception area inside was beautifully decorated as well. The catering by Carriage House was phenomenal. Many guests complimented the quality of the food and service. We couldn’t have been happier with how our wedding day went at the Whitlock Inn and would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I got married at the Whitlock Inn a couple weeks ago and it was perfect! Everybody there was really sweet and very organized. There is a hotel a couple miles down the road, which made it very easy for our out of town guests. The thing I liked the most about this venue is that they give you a lot of freedom to really choose what type of wedding you want. We chose to have an outdoor wedding with a buffet and lawn games so our guests could be a little more casual, but they can certainly accommodate a more formal event as well.
They offer many different menus through Carriage House Catering. They also provided some decorative flowers, (we got the personal flowers separately) table clothes to match our colors, and the wedding cake. The food was awesome and the venue is beautiful! I highly recommend them!!

I would highly recommend The Whitlock Inn for any wedding and reception. Everything ran so smoothly from beginning to end. The entire staff was so accommodating & professional. The food was excellent and the cake was delicious. I'm not big on planning large events and they made everything so easy. Our out of town guests stayed at The Hilton which was around the corner and they shuttled everyone over to The Whitlock. It's a great location!

Our wedding at the Whitlock Inn was truly the best day ever. We chose this venue for the location (love Marietta Square) and ease of planning. Almost everything is included: venue, decorative flowers, linens, catering, cake, etc. When we went to tour, every single question we had, they had an answer to. They were very easy to work with and truly cared about every detail. There are also so many options for anything you would want. We chose an outdoor ceremony with indoor/outdoor reception and heavy hors d'ouevres. You are able to set up the ceremony layout any way you want. Ours was different than they had done before, but they were open to making our vision become a reality. And the food was amazing, especially the Macaroni and Cheese. They were also so accommodating with all of the decorations and items we wanted to bring in to have during our wedding.

It was very easy for our guests to transition from ceremony into reception since both were held at the Whitlock Inn. And the Inn is so open that I didn't feel guests were separated or closed off if they went into another room. We were a little worried having a wedding in the middle of an Atlanta summer (July) but the gardens were perfectly shaded and not too hot.

I would recommend the Whitlock Inn to anyone! It was the most perfect venue that provides easy, stress-free planning for a great price!

A week ago today I had my wedding at The Whitlock Inn (June 20, 2015) and I can hardly put into words the amazing experience myself, my husband and our family and friends had! Not only is the Whitlock accommodating to everyones needs and styles but they are patient, kind and work so hard for you! Rhonda, Alexis, Karen (coordinator) and Laurie (catering) where professional and attentive to every single email, call or question and made me feel comfortable and confident! I felt very little stress on my wedding day and I truly believe it was mostly because I knew the Whitlock had every detail down and I could trust that everything would come together.

The Whitlock Inn is absolutely stunning! It made for the perfect reception hall for my wedding. The backyard was beautiful for pictures and everything inside was decorated exactly as I wanted! Any questions I had, they answered, and they were so polite. It made for the perfect wedding experience and I would recommend this venue to anyone! I loved it!

The Whitlock Inn is a beautiful venue run by helpful and professional people. They provide so many helpful and stress-relieving services to help the day go so smoothly and wonderfully that I could not help but be blown away by how great everything went. Having the caterer right next door was great as well- they make top-notch delicious food and their cake is to die for. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, unique venue to get married in with no stress- it is worth every single penny.

My husband and I could not have asked for a better wedding day at the Whitlock Inn. We were extremely satisfied. The staff were wonderful through out the whole process. If I had any questions, Alexis was quick to answer and also make helpful suggestions. The decorations were set up exactly as I had asked. The food and cake were amazing. I had numerous comments from guests about how beautiful the ceremony on the back steps was. I would absolutely recommend the Whitlock as a venue to any bride.

We used The Whitlock Inn on August 15, 2014 for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner.
Alexis and her staff did a super job! The house was beautiful, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We used the Carriage House Caterers, there on site. We also used them for the wedding reception the next day. Everyone loved the food!

I highly recommend Alexis and her staff. Everyone was pleasant, easy to work with, honest and fair.

I was very happy with the owner and staff of The Whitlock Inn. They could not have been more accommodating and flexible with us. They are so very sweet and kind. The Home and garden out back are so well taken care of and provided the intimate setting for our group. Everything was taken care of the way it was stated in the beginning and all my anxieties were put to rest that day as it all fell into place. I would have my wedding at the The Whitlock Inn 100 times over!

The Whitlock Inn was the location for our dream wedding reception! Alexis and Rhonda were so accommodating and made us feel so special - our day was clearly special to them too. The space was perfect, the food was delicious and the staff was professional. All of their recommendations for weather plans were perfect as we did have rain but the tent was an excellent extension of the space. All of our guests had a great time and loved the old southern charm!

Highly recommend the Whitlock Inn as I was blown away by the value of the amazing experience we received!

The Whitlock Inn is an elegantly, historical venue for any occasion. Alexis and Rhonda went above and beyond to fulfill our vision of what we wanted for our wedding reception. I planned my wedding from Arlington, Virginia, and as stressful as that may sound, Alexis and her staff helped in very way possible to make our perfect day go smoothly.

We had our wedding in March and Alexis and her staff were just amazing. They planted flowers the day of our wedding in the garden prior to our arrival for our formal photos. The in-house catering group, Carriage House Catering, prepared five star entrees, and an amazing three tiered wedding cake. My husband doesn't particularly enjoy cake, and absolutely loved our wedding cake Carriage House prepared. Our guests are still talking about how fun yet classy our reception at the Whitlock was! Thank you Alexis, Rhonda and the rest of The Whitlock Inn and Carriage House Catering Staff for helping us on our special day.

My wife did all of the planning and working with the Whitlock Inn staff, but my experience with the reception on the day of the wedding was amazing. The food was terrific, the Inn is absolutely beautiful, and everyone from my family and friends commented how lovely and wonderful the reception was. The staff at the Whitlock were very nice and stayed on top of making sure the day was perfect. It really made everything easy for me and my wife.

And from what I saw during the planning process, the Whitlock Inn staff made her life so much easier. She really did not have to stress nearly as much as we had been anticipating because of how great the staff is. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding reception in the Marietta area!

The Whitlock Inn is a truly historical & romantic setting. The home/gardens are extraordinary, the ownership & staffing impeccable & the value for each dollar spent, immeasurable! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Whitlock Inn for whatever special event you may have!

Alexis & Rhonda were exceptional in assisting us with planning not only the wedding events at the Whitlock, but also with guiding us towards other needed services. For example, the food provided by Jeff & Laurie (Carriage House Caterers) was displayed beautifully, served hot & tasted wonderful. Nicki (Carrither's Flowers) did an outstanding & exquisite job helping me incorporate my dream flower (burgundy calla lilies) into our event in a beautiful/innovative/cost effective manner. Matt (Spectrum DJ Services) helped us set the timeline and plan the event & our DJ, Tom, executed all smoothly while constantly entertaining our guests. Greene Limousine topped off our evening by whisking us away in style...

In short, Alexis invited us into her Inn as guests, saw to it that our every need was met and ensured our special day was truly that!!!! Because of Alexis and her Staff's and vendor's respective expertise and our willingness to compromise and think outside the box a little, our wedding and reception were truly magical and still remained affordable. Truly invaluable!!!

My husband and I selected the Whitlock Inn for our wedding, and we were amazed at how perfectly everything went. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgable, covering every last detail, presenting all your options clearly and up front. My family has known the owner for several years and they have always been very upstanding people. They value your wedding day as much as you do and go above and beyond to make it perfect. We were going to have the wedding outside because the garden is so beautiful. It ended up raining 5 minutes before the ceremony, which was upsetting because I had had my heart set on an outdoor wedding, but they quickly transformed the indoor area to a beautiful ceremony setup and I thought it was perfect even though we couldn't be outside. The Inn is very vintage with a homey, antique elegance. On the wedding day, everything was taken care of and ready to go. Afterward, our guests all told us that it was the most fun and beautiful wedding they had attended.

Our daughter was recently married at the lovely Whitlock Inn in historic Marietta. We had 150 guests and had the wedding and reception at the Inn. Our daughter wanted to be married in the garden and it had not rained in weeks. However, right before the wedding began it started to sprinkle and people were opening their umbrellas. The owner of the Inn came up to talk with us to find out what we wanted to do. Right before the rain started to come down hard, she had everyone come inside and within ten minutes her staff had transformed the reception room into a room suitable for a ceremony complete with a center aisle. Everyone was impressed with how lovely the Inn was and how quickly and professionally they got everyone settled inside. I was so glad that we had chosen the Inn and did not have to handle that transition by ourselves. The food was delicious and plentiful and the flowers were lovely. We were able to relax and enjoy our guests without being concerned about anything. I would highly recommend the Whitlock Inn.

My son and his new bride were recently married there. Everything was very well done. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They ran their place very professionally. The outdoor setting was intimate, beautiful, and special. The food was outstanding, and the wedding cake they made was beautiful. Everyone in attendance commented on how delicious the food was. The DJ was great, too. We especially were pleased they had a place to keep their dog while the reception was going on. It was wonderful for us who had to travel, especially the bride and groom. They truly didn't have to worry about a thing. I would highly recommend the Whitfield Inn.

The Whitlock Inn was absolutely perfect from the time we visited just to look at the venue until the final sendoff at the wedding. The staff was all extremely accommodating and friendly to work with. They have such an excitement for each wedding which made my family and I feel very special. My parents were coming in from out of town but the Whitlock staff worked around our availability and needs. Everyone was so professional to work with and absolutely had an expertise for event planning. We loved that the Whitlock is a one-stop shop for a wedding venue. Everything from the food, cakes, linens, tables, bars/tenders, etc was all taken care of. We brought in alcohol and rented a tent using trusted recommendations from the Whitlock. All of the promises exceeded all of our expectations on our wedding day - I highly highly recommend selecting The Whitlock Inn for your wedding venue!

My husband and I were married this past June at the Whitlock Inn. I don’t think I can quite properly convey what an amazingly positive experience it was. The people who work at the Whitlock are wonderful. They were friendly, accommodating, and excited. We don’t live in Atlanta, so we were particularly nervous that the planning process would be difficult, but they made it easy. They were responsive when we had questions. They worked with us to set-up meetings while we were in town. My mother went in several times to meet with Rhonda and Alexis, who owns the Whitlock, about details, and when I got to town before the wedding, we met with Alexis again. Alexis was thorough, and clearly put in the effort to make sure my fiancé and I and my family were all happy. Karen, the coordinator we worked with on the evening of the event, kept everything going smoothly. Everyone who was at the event itself, from the bartenders to the chefs working the stations at the buffet, was friendly and fun.

The venue itself is beautiful. I can’t do it justice in writing so I encourage you to take a look at their website and visit. We got married outside in the backyard under the canopy of trees, and then afterwards moved into the house for the reception. We had about 110 people and the set-up was perfect. There was a dance floor in the main hall, which was well-used by our guests, but because it’s an inn there were also rooms at the front of the house and porches where people could chat. The food was great. In terms of value to the dollar, I’m still a little in awe of the fact that the Whitlock Inn was the most affordable place we looked at when we were first checking out venues, because we hands-down liked it the best. I definitely give the Whitlock Inn my highest recommendation.

My daughter and her husband held their wedding reception at the Whitlock Inn and it was wonderful. The food was great, the staff was very pleasant and helpful and the setting was elegant and perfect in every way. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food and how lovely the Whitlock Inn was. It was the perfect place for them to celebrate their marriage. I highly recommend them.

Our experience with the Whitlock Inn was, quite simply, a delight. Both Alexis Amaden and Rhonda Foster were available, knowledgeable, courteous, and invested in our having a perfect wedding experience. The inclusive nature of their process (venue, catering, cake, flowers for the main buffet table, and event coordinator are included in the contract) made everything very easy to organize and to keep track of. Each time we made a payment or had a conversation, we received a letter of receipt and instructions for next steps. The buffet fare was excellent and our guests gave positive feedback. Karen Casey (wedding planner) was very efficient in keeping us on track the day of the rehearsal and the ceremony. The bridal changing room was ideal for our preparations, and the Inn's willingness to work with our photographer prior to the ceremony was so helpful. Finally, we can't say enough about the elegance of the Inn itself. It was truly all I dreamed of as a wedding location.

I had a wonderful experience working with Laurie and Alexis of the Whitlock Inn. I had only my reception at the Whitlock Inn, and as I was planning my wedding and reception from out-of-town, it was very convenient for me that I only had to have one official on-site meeting at the Whitlock Inn. Laurie and Alexis were wonderful to work with over e-mail and phone while I was out-of-town, and were very flexible with my questions and what I needed. On the day of the wedding, Alexis was at the Whitlock Inn and was an enormous help to me. My only small criticism is that the Whitlock Inn does all of their official correspondence with the bride through U.S. Mail, and because I was in the process of moving while I planned my wedding, some of the correspondence arrived to me a bit later than in should have. Otherwise, the Whitlock Inn was a phenomenal venue for my reception!

I was married at the Whitlock Inn in Marietta, GA this past Mother’s Day. It was the most fantastic day of my life. Not only because I was marrying my best friend, but also because we were wedded at a breathtaking family-oriented venue. Words cannot express how thankful my husband and I are to the staff at The Whitlock and their in-house Catering service The Carriage House. They truly make the wedding experience about you and your mate.
I would love to take credit for finding this gem, but alas, it was my guy. He was determined to find a classy, intimate, southern-charm wedding and reception venue that would fit our budget and boy did he! Linen, Sliver, China and cutlery were included, the decorations were splendid, the food was divinely delicious, and the service was impeccable.
The Whitlock staff was with us from the early stages of planning till the end. We were allowed to visit or call at anytime if we had questions or concerns, and they always got back to us promptly. They even provide a wedding coordinator (YES you so need one for the big day). What was really cool was the option of having her stay to assist during the reception. She did a fantastic job, so if it’s in your budget go for it.
They also gave us a list of suggested vendors, a few do-it- yourself Pinterest worthy ideas (LOVED them) and basically, treated us like family. The staff made sure our wedding experience wasn’t about the wedding industry, but about the most remarkable event of our lives. We will host future events back at the Whitlock. Happy wedding bliss!

The wedding for my daughter at the Whitlock Inn was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect, and everyone that helped in any way was a blessing. The pictures the photographer took are so lovely with the decorations in the house that you do not need to add anything else. For the price, professionalism and friendliness from the staff I would not change anything. Would love to do it all over again, because it went by too soon.Thank you so much for making her day so special.

Absolutely the best venue ever!! It's so beautiful! I got married March 3rd and the weather was iffy. They let me change my wedding from outdoors to indoors a few hours before the ceremony and didn't grumble a bit. They seemed happy to serve!! I didn't have to worry about a thing. I really did get to enjoy my wedding day; it was a really fun party! There was no stress at all on my wedding day thanks to them.

This place is PERFECT. It's an absolutely gorgeous turn-of-the-century mansion turned bed-and-breakfast. It's somehow ornate and cozy at the same time! The staff is unbelievably nice and will respond to ANY questions you might have. You get a lot of bang for your buck as well -- the food is plentiful (and goooood), and they'll take care of many facets of the decor as well. (You may have to pay extra for extra-ornate centerpieces and the like, but the prices are still quite reasonable.) If you're looking a one-stop wedding shop, this is the place!

The Whitlock Inn was the perfect venue for us. It allowed for both the ceremony and reception right in the heart of Marietta close to a hotel convenient for guests. Our wedding was planned on a short notice, and the staff was very accomodating. The staff was extremely kind and professional, and worked hard to do small things for us on our big day. Guests told us later that ours was the most peaceful and fun wedding they had ever been to. I am so happy that my wedding took place at the Whitlock Inn- they made a momentous, stressful day into a momentous, beautiful day.
