Beautiful Wedding of Our Dreams

My husband and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out for our wedding celebration at The Thoroughbred Center! We had our cocktail hour in The Paddock, the outdoor area, and our reception in Stableview Hall. Both areas are beautiful and kept in pristine condition. With our wedding being in the fall, the colored foliage on the trees looked amazing in our wedding photos. Special thank you to Emily and her team for providing excellent service all the way from planning the wedding until the end of our special day! Emily was quick to respond to my many questions via email. During her venue tours, Emily provided us with important information that helped us create our dream wedding day!

Wonderful Venue!

I am so glad we spent our day with Emily and the Thoroughbred Center! My wedding planning was so smooth and I credit a lot of that to how accommodating and flexible the Thoroughbred Center was. Emily answered any questions we had in a timely manner and worked with us and our vendors so well!

The thoroughbred center

The thoroughbred center was really really nice well organized. Emily was very nice about everything she was awesome gave us lots of ideas she did it all perfect. We loved the thoroughbred center the best place I could've picked to be married everything was perfect no complaints whatsoever. It was a outside wedding it rained that morning and Emily set up a indoor spot for a backup plan. She was the best.

Wedding day

This experience was so amazing because of emily. She helped me through all my questions and was more than accommodating. I loved the Thoroughbred center. It was beautiful the day of the wedding. Emily made decorating the venue so easy and helped with anything we needed.

Emily and Megan were the best

I cannot say enough great things about these two and the venue in general. From day one they answered all of my questions in a quick manner. They walked me through the entire process and were with us all weekend through decorating the main event and clean up. Emily even stood in the bridal suite with me and helped calm my nerves right before I walked down the aisle. They went above and beyond in every aspect. The venue if beautiful and made for great pictures.

Great day!

Emily was very helpful not just during our event but for all of my questions leading up to our wedding day. She was the positive person that I needed to balance my negativity. Emily and Megan did a wonderful job of getting everything out and organized before and during the day, such as the popcorn and yard games for our cocktail hour and the cakes and cupcakes during dinner. I greatly appreciated all of their hard work and smiles!

This was the best place! The staff was absolutely wonderful to work with and plan our big day. It was perfect. They have wonderful packages available to help your budget!

Beautiful venue

A dream come true

My now husband and I absolutely loved everything about the thoroughbred center! Emily was so helpful and answered all of my crazy questions. Kept me calm, even set up our tables and centerpieces! She personally picked up our linens. We just felt so much care and dedication from the staff and the bartenders were amazing! It was such a beautiful day and all for something so affordable. I would go back again and again! Thank you thoroughbred center and Emily!

My Wedding

Everything was perfect. Emily Orschell is the best to work with. She made sure everything was perfection on my day. She cares about the brides. Checks on you every chance she’s not working on your wedding. The staff is so nice and so helpful. I am so so glad I had my wedding here!

Working with The TC team made our wedding a breeze. They answered all my excessive questions/emails very quickly and always made me feel at ease. They stepped up to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and we’re flexible on working with us to meet our wants. Would definitely recommend!

Amy was a fantastic contact to work with the TTC for our wedding. The day was great!! We truly appreciate all your help, especially in the final weeks leading up when I had 10000 questions to ask & finalize. Amy and Chelsea were awesome to work with. Very sweet girls. I emailed constantly with questions and changes and always got a prompt response. I can't recommend the gorgeous venue enough. They go above and beyond with their professionalism while also treating you like a friend and wanting to help you have the wedding of your dreams. The value of what you get is also tremendous compared to what else in town. You can customize everything you want, however you want. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with professional, friendly coordinators.

The venue was almost perfect! It was absolutely beautiful and the workers were amazing and patient with me. My only problem was I heard a couple complaints about how hott it was in the back, and since they have no air conditioning in the part where I had my wedding, I can see why it would be hot. But other than that, I would definitely choose them for my wedding again if I had to redo it all over again!

They have multiple areas for weddings or receptions that are all beautiful. Our reception was on the smaller side, so we picked The Horseman's Lounge. It was so cozy! The chandelair really makes a statement in the middle of the dance floor. There was plenty of room for everyone and the bar was only steps away.

Perfect venue! We used the horseman's lounge for our medium sized wedding and it was perfect. I also love how our photos that we took outdoors at the venue turned out. The planning process was easy and the location was a great value.

I cannot say enough about this venue or the people that work there. They make the entire process SO very easy and non-stressful! It is a wonderful value for all the benefits that you get. You tell them what you want and they get it. You pay them and they handle it from there! My daughter even had her dogs in the wedding here!

If you're looking for a beautiful venue, at a VERY reasonable price, and 5-star service - book the Thoroughbred Center! Honestly we had a fantastic experience with both Amy and Chelsea from our very first visit. They're knowledgeable, helpful, and very quick to respond. I had several questions throughout our wedding planning process and Chelsea was almost immediate with her email responses. They also were very flexible - since the Stableview Hall (where we held our reception) wasn't booked the day before our wedding we were able to get everything in and set up early - such a stress reliever! All of our guests commented on how beautiful both our ceremony and reception were (we had our ceremony on the front lawn) and you are not going to find a better value in Lexington. Although you do have to purchase your alcohol through them, it still was far cheaper than anywhere else we looked. Thank you to the Thoroughbred Center for having such a beautiful place for us to have our fairytale wedding!

My step-daughter had her reception at the Thoroughbred Center and selected it for several reasons. First, the backdrop is a stunning Kentucky Horse Farm (racing facility). Secondly, the price was unbelievably affordable with staff members who were always easy to get in touch with. Even if we just wanted to come back out and take another look at the reception area for decorating and set-up ideas, the staff were always ready to accompany us and give us access to the facility. The area we rented for the reception could easily be transformed to meet your wishes....from rustic, to casual, to elegant. The options were various, from a cash or open bar, to bringing in your own caterer or using one of their associated vendors. The slight miscommunication we had was very quickly taken care of and we were absolutely thrilled with the results! I'm not sure there is a better venue for a reception....or for any event for that matter!

We rented the Lounge and Runway area for our wedding reception. The venue itself was beautiful and perfect for our group. From the initial tour, to the night of the event, the staff at the The Thoroughbred Center provided top notch service. Amy was great at assisting us with planning and setting up the event. She also made sure we did not have to worry about one thing the night of the event. The grounds crew did a great job of making sure the parking lot and sidewalks were clear of any snow prior to our event. I cannot say enough about the venue and the staff at The Thoroughbred Center.

The entire experience, start to finish, was professional and beyond helpful. I really appreciated that Amy called me as we got closer to the date, walking me through timelines, and was always very quick to return my calls. Meeting with her the week before the wedding was helpful beyond words as she walked us through many little details we had not even considered. Even afterward she remained responsive to calls and questions we had. The Thoroughbred Center is a beautiful venue we will definitely recommend to others, and it was enhanced by the wonderful and professional staff we worked with. We can't thank you enough!

I would highly recommend using The Thoroughbred Center for any gathering. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They also accommodated every need. Very good people to deal with and a pleasant environment to hold an event in.

The venue was the perfect location for our 15 yr vow renewal this past March. Amy & Chelsea went above and beyond to make our big day memorable and beautiful. I had several comments from guests how beautiful the venue was. I had planned another couples wedding here years ago so when it was time for me to pick a venue for our renewal it was a no brainier. Loved everything about our day and venue and the staff made it a success.

My fiancé and I were looking for a budge friendly venue but did not want to sacrifice beauty and location when looking for a place to have our wedding. We loved the beautiful horse farms and knew that the leaves would be changing colors for our fall wedding. We met Amy and hit it off with her immediately! She had so many creative ideas and really saw our vison for our big day. We had an outdoor wedding on the front lawn around sun down and it was absolutely gorgeous. We had our reception in the lounge and it was breath taking! The vendors were all from Simply love Studios and they made our day perfect. I highly recommend The Thoroughbred Center for any event you're planning.

Amy Jackson and the rest of the staff at The Thoroughbred Center are wonderful to work with! I had such a pleasant experience with them for our wedding. The venue itself is quite stunning and you have several options for where you can have the ceremony/reception (depending upon if your date is booked or not). We loved the venue and our photographer loved that there are so many great photo opps! She didn't want to stop taking pictures! Amy was always great with responding, especially through email, and is worth her weight in gold! She has the entire process down to a fine art and really puts in the extra effort to make sure everything runs smoothly on your big day. We also went with TTC's onsite caterer, South Van Catering, and couldn't have been more pleased. The food was excellent (hands down best catering food I've ever tasted) and the staff was superb! Even our guest commented on how wonderful the food was and how pleasant and friendly all of the staff was during our ceremony and reception. I feel like we got an exceptional deal for all of the wonderful memories and services TTC provided us. If you want an affordable, beautiful, and memorable place to have your wedding then you cannot go wrong with The Thoroughbred Center and all of their fabulous staff!

Everyone at the Throughbred Center was Great. Amy Jackson went above and beyond to make sure my daughters wedding was just what she wanted. It was the perfect venue for her wedding. We used the Throughbred Centers Caterer's and the food was Great and Amy really helped with meeting all our needs. My only thing I would have done different was, and this is not the venue's fault was I should have hired and extra bartender. If you have an open bar or we did wine and beer were free gauge how much your guests drink.

Amy and Chelsea were great! Communication was clear and responses immediate. There was a slight mix up with my linens the day of the wedding and Amy went out of her way to fix it immediately!! I didn't have to worry about a thing! Very friendly and professional coordinators and staff. Good price, plenty of space and no hassle on deposits I was due back! Would definitely recommend and use them again!

Amy Jackson at the T-Center is awesome. She is very busy though, so if you need immediate answers just be patient, she will get you what you need. The space can be dressed up really nicely, and is fabulous for photo opps. My photographer didn't want to stop taking pictures! Make sure if you have questions on how to do things that you ask Amy, because she is super helpful and has probably done what you are requesting before.

We had our wedding back in September and I can still remember it like it was yesterday. But man, it seemed like the day FLEW by! The Thoroughbred Center was so easy to work with during our wedding planning process!

Everything was a breeze when we decided to use this space for our venue. Your staff was great the night of our wedding and all of our needs were met! We had no complaints whatsoever! I loved how convenient it was to have both the ceremony and reception right in the same spot. The pricing was very reasonable (considering everything that was included in the package, and we got the open bar option) compared to other venues I had checked out and that was a big selling point for us!

I was so excited to utilize the paddock for our event and I loved the tent & market lights. The other vendors we used for catering, flowers, and DJ were already familiar with you guys, so that made it even better. I hope more brides have put this beautiful space to use!!

Our wedding turned out beautiful. Outside the ceremony was just perfect. The weather cooperated, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the entire day. The planning was also easy and everything was just as expected.

So far we have had a great experience with The Thoroughbred Center. Amy and Chelsea are very helpful and have taken a lot of time to explain to us not only everything about her facility, but also about planning a wedding in general!

I would like to thank Amy and Chelsea for making my son's and daughter-in-law wedding reception a beautiful event. We had concerns when we heard about the fire the week before the event and was assured by both of them everything was ok and they would be ready and they was right there was no worries. Our vendors was very please with their professionalism and their attention to details. We were in the Lounge area which was very nice I rented the hallway for the food which was a great it gave more room in the lounge. The only negative if you can call it that is the Lounge holds . 150 people seated but they only provide tables and chairs for 100 you have to rent the extra. It would be nice if they included seating for 150 to cut the extra expense but never the less we enjoyed everything and will refer anyone looking for a venue. Thanks again!!!

I absolutely LOVED having my wedding here at the Thoroughbred Center. Amy Jackson was not only kind, polite, and helpful but she was so much FUN to work with! Anything I needed whether it be venue questions or needing wedding advice She never let me down! She was the woman to go to and was there EVERY TIME I called her or had a question! Since the day I became engaged and decided to use the thoroughbred center Amy made everything so EASY and is GREAT to work with! She definately makes it all about the BRIDE and GROOM (as it should be)! Up to the day of the wedding and on the wedding day she is there whenever you need her and completely has everything under control! She is jsut great! Its a great location and a great price! it definately makes for a beautiful, memorable wedding! Its so beautiful out there and I would recommend anybody to have there wedding there!

Large, open space was great! Super flexible on package options and setup. Coordinated with my vendors and took care of all the little details. We chose this venue over others because of the casual, laid back feel and the reasonable price.

When my now husband and I walked into the Thoroughbred Center and saw the fireplace in the Horsemans Lounge we knew we had our venue! We choose to have the ceremony and the reception all together. They had everything we needed and wanted, very romantic and intimate space for a very good price, tables & chairs with linens, a bar area, and allowed us to have outside catering. Amy and Chelsea were great to work with, they responded quickly to all of our questions and e-mails. On the day of the event everything was ready before we arrived to set up and all of the staff were very nice and accommodating. They had a very nice and relaxing bridal suite and groomsman room for all of us to get ready in. We could not have asked for a better venue!

The staff was amazing! Amy and Chelsea are just fantastic! They were so helpful and dealt with all my questions so well. The venue was beautiful. I got married May 2016 in the paddock that had just been completed and it turned out so beautifully. The ceremony spot looked out of Gainesway Farm and it's so beautiful. The Holding Area or Stableview Hall is so large and can be decorated so beautiful. My guests were pleased with the appearance and were all so comfortable and fit easily inside the area. I would recommend the Thoroughbred Center to anyone who asks.

We absolutely loved the services provided by the Thoroughbred Center and the staff there. They were amazing to work with, and made much of the work easier on us. We loved that we were able to rent all additional chairs and tables through them as well as table linens. The event coordinator is the best, and is very helpful in planning the event. The only problem we had was that when we arrived to decorate for our reception, the tables, chairs and linens that were supposed to already be set up weren't completely finished. Additionally, the tables and chairs that were set up were in a way that did not utilize the space. We spent a lot of time rearranging and so setting up took longer than we anticipated. However, we loved that by renting through them, we were not responsible for tearing down tables, chairs, or linens after the event. We only had to remove our personal property and take out any trash. The staff on site during the event were all friendly and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this venue to others, it is beautiful.

We had a wonderful experience working with Emily and Sammie for our NYE wedding. They were very accommodating and helpful, and knew how much guidance to provide without hovering. When we had a few minor bumps in our planning they were ready with new suggestions and even last minute sparkler replacements. Total sweethearts!

The price of the venue was great but the rental price for all of the additional tables and chairs was a bit high. The staff over all was great and made sure everything was just the way I wanted.

The Thoroughbred Center was a great choice for us! We had our ceremony for about 100-115 on the front lawn and the reception in The Lounge. I was a little worried about the noise of Paris Pike for the ceremony but it really wasn't an issue. They were great about communication except for a couple hiccups here and there but nothing that we couldn't work out. They were very accommodating and held my hand through the whole planning process and helped in any way they could. My only complaint was the price of alcohol but that comes with almost any wedding venue where you don't bring your own in. The staff was great all the way around!

Excellent venue for the price. Professional and accomodating. The reception was great and no problems with the venue or their staff. Just used for reception but it now is offering more ceremony packages.

The TBC was a great location for our wedding. We used the lounge for both the ceremony and the reception with the addition of the runway. Amy was great to work with and is very prompt in getting back to you. The price is fair but overall its a good value.

The only negatives I have about the venue are it is showing it's age. The auditorium was dirty and had celling tiles falling out. We were taking pictures down by the front wrought iron and it was caked in dust and there was a plate left over from a party long ago. Also there's not a great amount of places to take pictures out side. Not to there fault but they had a building burn down a few months prior to our date and some construction was being started.

The price of this venue is very reasonable! You are allowed to bring in your own caterer, but you must use their bar. Naturally, the alcohol cost is triple what you would pay if you just bought it yourself. The one thing I was extremely disappointed in was the 'security guard'. Please be mindful that he is paid to be there, it's included in the fees you pay. Not only did he sit on a bench by the bar the entire night, he ate MULTIPLE plates of food. Before the reception even started, he had helped himself to THREE plates of food. My guests hadn't even gotten a chance to eat yet and our 'security guard' was stuffing himself like a pig. It was obnoxious and many of my guests noticed. No one told me until after the wedding, otherwise I would have had a multitude of things to say. At the end of the night, he had a plate FULL of doughnuts sitting on the bar beside of him. I did notice this while I was cleaning up. Very unprofessional. Other than the security guard, in the months leading up to the wedding, Amy and her assistant were very helpful and answered my questions promptly. They were very accommodating the day before when we were decorating! I think the 'security guard' issue definitely needs to be addressed, but other than that, it was a great location for my wedding!

The Lounge at the Thoroughbred Center is very nice. Amy was pretty responsive whenever I had a question, Her assistant Chelsea was great and easy to work with during my event. I would recommend the Thoroughbred Center.

Although my reception turned out to be great there were some initial hurdles. Fabric that was promised had been taken down and I was unable to decorate the ceiling. The places other fabric on the barn doors and they were extremely wrinkled as if they had been balled up for months. There was a tight time crunch to decorate and my parents had to come in and clean the entire reception area. They had dirty, dusty floors and window seals and dead bugs all around. They stated the lights would be low and no one would notice. My parents weren't having that. So they cleaned the entire place for 2 hours before decorating. Since they had to clean they were unable to have all the tables and chairs place by the rental vendor because they dropped them off. The day of the reception it went ok accept we needed ice and they did not want us to use their ice machine in the reception hall. They were nice and flexible with additional time to stay and decorate.
