  Our daughter had a destination wedding in June and we also planned a party at home in August. We searched many sites around Indianapolis and the Monon Community Center was a fit for what she wanted. Big, open windows over a wooded area, indoor and outdoor areas - with a bar in both places and a large room. Audio video equipment for the slideshow was provided, a stage for a band (we later decided to use a DJ) and catering she and her husband both liked. (Ritz Charles Catering is the exclusive vendor and they offer four tastings a year to sample their menu). We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the process. Casey was very easy to work with, both as the contact for the MCC and the caterer. My daughter and I did all of the table decorations, candy buffet, decorated tables for gifts and table settings, etc. Casey worked with us on unlimited setup time the day of the celebration and we were also able to leave everything overnight for clean up the next day. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to pack-up on Sunday to find that Chris and the staff had boxed up everything they were comfortable packing and had it ready for us to load and take home. We were not looking forward to what we expected to be a 2+ hour job (for just the two of us) and this was an immense help. We would recommend this venue and caterer for anyone who wants a stress free event.

  Our reception turned out absolutely amazing! The food (by Ritz Charles) was incredible and with the help of the Monon Center's planner, Casey, the decorations, set up, and service were phenomenal. I could not have been more happy with the way everything turned out. This is a great venue, especially in warmer months when you can utilize the HUGE outdoor terrace overlooking the woods. Believe me they will do anything they can to make sure your day is everything you want it to be- I know ours was!

  When we first decided on The Monon Center, they were just getting started with weddings. We were promised a lot of things (landscaping outside, etc.) that turned out to not even be in the works. Once The Monon Center signed with Ritz Charles as the caterer, they had a woman on staff from the Ritz Charles and she was EXCELLENT. She gave great advice, had great ideas, responded to emails almost immediately. The Monon Center turned into a great place to deal with because of her.
