We took 39 people here for our wedding reception dinner! Worked out so well, food was great, and beer and wine included. Well priced and everyone loved it! So many choices! We had a split wedding ceremony and reception at 2 different locations. We decided on the Mirage for the reception. Planning a wedding from California is difficult but Karli Markovitz and her assistant Kathryn Medley, made everything as easy as possible. When the time came, we met Karli and gave her the decorations which was a lot and many had multiple parts had to be assemble. Karli and her team did a fantastic job assembling everything as we had envisioned. The banquet room was beautifully decorated and the lighting was superb (thanks Patrick S). Our cake came out just like the picture we sent in, we could not believe it. Everything was picture perfect. Karli was very attentive and made sure everyone was comfortable. I was nervous about planning a wedding over the phone without me ever seeing the venue, decorations, etc., but the catering team at the Mirage met more than my expectations. Always helpful, courteous and flexible to my questions, plans and ideas. I would highly recommend having your wedding at the Mirage. The Mirage volcano was a beautiful place to have the ceremony and the reception was absolutely wonderful. Karli was absolutely amazing to work with and was able to make my wedding dream a reality while working primarily through email. She was super responsive to any questions I had and was able to translate what I wanted beautifully. I could not have been happier with the outcome and will remember it forever. I would highly recommend Karli to anyone looking to host an event, whether it be a wedding or other large party. Our wedding reception came off as a perfect event. Everything was timed just perfectly. The passed appetizers were excellent; the dinner was expertly prepared and expertly presented. The wedding cake I asked them to make was the best cake I've ever seen and eaten. Karli at the Mirage was THE BEST!! She pretty well planned my wedding for me. I am from Alberta, Canada and was nervous about trying to plan a wedding abroad. Karli was just so great. She provided excellent vendors for the music, photography, entertainers, officiant. She even booked many of these for me. When I couldn't decide about decor, I asked if she could just put something together that matched my wedding colours. She totally nailed it!! She always answered my calls and emails the same day. Even if it was just to say that she got my email and would look into it for me and get back to me. The day was PERFECT!! Everything went so well! I wouldn't change a thing, it was the best day of our lives!! The ceremony and reception rooms were perfect. We had 50 guests at our wedding and everyone loved the hotel and the rooms. My wife Kristen and I got married at the Mirage Waterfall Pool and Dolphin Bar on 10/3/15. We worked with Karli Markovitz and Pastor Mike Willis for the occasion. We can't say enough good things about Karli to start. She was always very responsive to our emails in the months preceding the wedding weekend since we live on the east coast. She always made sure we were aware of all of our options for everything from flowers to DJ to food to ceremony settings. In the weeks before the wedding, we spoke to her on the phone or communicated via email almost every day and when there were any changes in plans or accommodations, Karli was very quick to lay out the process and let us know what we needed to do. She made the process leading up to the wedding weekend very, very smooth.
The wedding itself was perfect! Pastor Mike Willis was our officiant and he took the time two days before the wedding to sit down with us for over an hour and ask us about our relationship and history together. He wants to know details to make the ceremony more personal to the bride and groom, which was an awesome touch! He had options for religious ceremonies or ones more centered on love and marriage. He walked us through the whole procedure of how the ceremony would work and the exact timeline of what he would say and our responsibilities. The ceremony went perfect and we received many compliments on Pastor Mike from our guests. He was the exact mix of humor, sentiment and personality that we were looking for! I would highly recommend him for ANY Vegas wedding!
All our guests were raving about the waterfall setting at night for the ceremony and the cocktail hour/reception at the Dolphin Bar. The food was delicious, the lighting and setting for guests was optimal, and the dance floor near the pool was very unique. The night went off without one hiccup and we have Karli and Pastor Mike to thank for everything! This was the perfect wedding and location for us! Karli was brilliant at helping us organise our wedding which wasn't the easiest to do due to time difference as we live in the UK. The flowers were gorgeous and the backdrop (Volcano at dusk) just finished it off perfectly.. I was a little skeptical having the ceremony at the Mirage, thinking it would feel a little bit "casino ish". To my surprise, it was absolutely wonderful. We had a private room, with beautiful flowers, tasty food and a great DJ. Karli, our wedding planner, arranged for Pastor Mike to officiate the service, and he did a wonderful job. There were lots of tears and laughs throughout the night! Karli Markovitz, the Sales and Catering Manager at The Mirage, helped us organise everything. Much of our dialogue was done via email with a couple of phone calls along the way. Karli was always very quick to respond and answer our (many!) questions. Once we had decided on the date of the wedding and chosen our package (we went for one of the evening pool side packages) we began to organise everything else.
We flew out to Las Vegas about a year before our wedding primarily for a holiday but also to meet Karli face to face. We spent about half an hour asking her questions and going through some of the fine details. She told us that if we wanted to change anything just to let her know. Following the meeting we continued to converse over email.
A couple of months prior to the wedding Karli called us by phone so that we could have a discussion about some of the final details. We arranged a final face to face meeting for just a few days beforehand to sure up any last minute details, but mostly to put our minds at ease.
On the night, Karli was there at our wedding to ensure everything went smoothly. It was a fairly hot summer’s night, somewhere just shy of 40 degrees celsius. Just before we walked out to the pool area for the ceremony, Karli made sure we had our flowers / boutonniere and that the train of the dress was resting properly. She gave the signal and the music started and down the aisle we went. The ceremony took place just opposite the waterfall, the lights illuminating the water beautifully.
After the ceremony we had a few group photographs taken. Before the champagne was served, Karli brought us both some bottles of chilled water. We were both thirsty and were really grateful that she had taken the time to ensure we had those waters before the reception. Shortly after the champagne was poured and we got to see our cake.
