    This was a stress-free experience! They take care of everything! Swanky Sounds DJ was great! The food was delicious! The ambiance is romantic. Our wedding day was one for the storybooks! Thank you everyone for making it so great! Pleasant to work with and treated our day like it was their own! Thanks Tena!!

    If I could go back I would choose The Grand over and over for my venue location. They are absolutely amazing and take the stress out of everything for the day of your wedding. You have to use their list of caterer's and DJ's which at first, I was upset that I was limited to their options, but after some of my friends spent many hours trying to find a caterer, DJ, and baker I knew my life was much easier with their limited options. It took the stress of researching and comparing pricing out of the equation. They responded to all of my questions and were very flexible with all of my requests. They are a family run business and I would recommend The Grand to anyone who is having a wedding in the future.

    The Grand is such an amazing place to have a wedding or any event! It's beautiful and the staff is so accommodating, helpful, and so easy to work with. I had no worries when planning my wedding. I would recommend The Grand to anyone that is looking for a nice, classy, beautiful and amazing Venue! I didn't feel like I had to spend my money on making it look nice the Grand is very well decorated and just beautiful without having to do much to it at all. 5 stars from me!

    The Grand was beautiful and the people were very friendly. They worked very well with our schedules and did a great job setting up the reception site.

    We really love the fact they they have all kinds of package offers! My fiancé and i wanted to basically just show up on our wedding day and everything be done. They are honestly the best!!

    I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Tena and her staff! The Grand is absolutely beautiful, and they take care of every detail! I really could not imagine a better experience for the price! Tena also did the floral arrangements for our wedding which were breathtaking! So many of our guests commented that our wedding reception was the most beautiful they have ever attended!

    I got married July of this year and the grand was everything that I hoped for and more. I definatly would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a eligant setting for a wedding. Tina the owner was helpful in every aspect of my wedding planning. She made my special day a fairy tail event.

    I had my reception at the Grand. It was beautiful. I was very pleased with everything. We went with the in house DJ and caterer! The only thing that was a major diasappoint for me, was when I was trying to get my date set up and details worked out, I met with the assistant to the owner and she was terribly rude. She tried to persuade us on food and using her husband as the DJ versus the in house DJ. But once I contacted the owner we got everything worked out, without her assistants help!

    The Grand is a BEAUTIFUL venue! The owner/coordinater was extremely pleasant and helpful. The cost is the only thing that would hold me back from doing it again at that location. I thought it would be worth while to spend the extra money and not have to worry about anything, but at the same time, I DID have to make sure that things were getting done on my wedding day. It was also sometimes difficult to get in touch with this vendor...she said there were some issues with the e-mail system that they needed to get fixed...after she said it was fixed, there was no problem at all trying to reach her.

    I rented the candelabras from The Grand. For the most part, I was happy with their service. I was a bit disappointed when I went to pick up the rentals and they didn't have them ready, which put me behind schedule, but other than that I would recommend them.

    The Grand Convention Center was so great! It is a very beautiful enviroment that my guest loved. The owners was very patient and helpful with anything that I needed. My wedding day went very fast and smoothly because they were so helpful. The Grand was the first movie theater in New Albany, Indiana. The inside has been renovated into a ball room with beautiful colors and lights. On the outside they still have the same marque and movie picture spots. The bride and groom have the option of putting their names on the marque and their pictures on the outside as well. They also have a very pretty outside area that has the option of a covered tent. They also offered a Tumblebus for the children which was also great because they were occupied.

    I would recommened, however the disorganization of the venue caused a lot of undue stress. Everything came together but not without alot of straigtening out on my part.

    Very expensive and extra fees added in that were not discussed at signing of contract.

    The Grand's reply:

    We were very disappointed to see this review. We strive to sit down one to one with each client and go over everything prior to booking. Everything is spelled out and explained in our contracts. The only thing that could possibly cost extra are things that are added on later by the client. We are told how reasonably priced our venue is and how great our service is weekly.

    Tena was pretty helpful, but not great about getting back to you in a timely manner. Her assistant, I can't think of her name, but she is a young girl with blonde hair, was rude several times to people in the wedding party and at least once to a guest. I also feel that she should have been more helpful when the pictures were taking place. Also, I feel that she should have had the kitchen hold some food back for the bride, groom, their families, and wedding party. I am not positive that enough food was prepared for 225 guests! I also did not appreciate them collecting and stacking our personal items at the end of the night the way they did!
