    Best Venue We Could Have Chosen

    The Ebell was at the top of our price range so it was a difficult yes for us, but I have to say, I feel like we got every bit of value out of it. The food was amazing – we had so many compliments from our guests. Jen, Katie and the team were so responsive, always replying within 24 hours (but usually within only a few). The venue is gorgeous and so well-decorated that you don't need to add much decor. They accommodated us whenever they could. We had 120 guests, with the "sweet spot" for this venue at 100 - 120. We made the price work by doing our own florals, doing signature drinks instead of a full open bar, and having musician friends do sound and music. The event was truly magical and I always felt like we were in the best hands. Our guests described it as the perfect wedding. Thank you, Ebell team!!

    Perfect Venue

    This was the perfect wedding venue! The space is just as beautiful as it looks in pictures, and the food is delicious - as are the drinks! I highly recommend the short rib!

    Working with Katie and Jen was a breeze. They were super communicative and compassionate, and the chef was extremely accommodating to our wedding's many dietary restrictions.

    The space is laid out perfectly for a wedding, and they have truly got the whole flow down pat. Getting married here was truly a dream.

    You Won't Regret Booking the Ebell of Long Beach For Your Wedding

    We booked the Ebell Long Beach for our wedding on February 24, 2024 and besides the fact that it was hands down the most gorgeous venue we'd seen, the people that we worked with solidified our decision. We worked with Jen from our very first tour of the venue up until the day before our wedding when she helped us put the finishing touches on our big day. For over a year, she was consistent in her very fast response times (we're talking hours, if not minutes) and eagerness to make our event feel like one-of-a-kind. When our family members showed up to the venue without an appointment, she gave them a tour on the spot. This is just one example of the attentiveness she showed us when she was undoubtedly juggling hundreds of other couples at the same time. Another invaluable team member of the Ebell LB was Katie. She stepped in a couple months ahead of our wedding for our design meeting to handle all of the event's logistics including layout, vendors, and timeline. She was gracious and creative when it came to problem-solving, something that we were so grateful for since she was the one representing the venue. Even after getting engaged the week before our design meeting, she made it all about us when we should've been celebrating her!!! Katie and our coordinator worked so well together to ensure that our wedding day went without a single hiccup. Lastly, Chef Adam, a chef for Tres LA, was another invaluable member of the team who made our wedding day perfect. On the day of our tasting, Chef Adam personally came out after each course to ask for our feedback. This was totally unexpected and an incredible experience because beyond being able to select our menu from an extensive list, we were able to personalize it even further. He even accommodated us when we asked to include pigs in a blanket as one of our hors d'oeuvres, which wasn't on their menu to begin with! We're not exaggerating when we say that most of our guests followed up with us that this was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. The excellence and consistency that we received from this team made our planning journey smooth, and we're so lucky that the Ebell LB is now a meaningful place in our lives and our relationship.

    Once in a Lifetime Venue

    We had an amazing experience having our wedding at the EBell Club Long Beach. We fell in love with the unique look and feel of the venue. So much so that it was a destination wedding for us and our guests (we’re from the east coast). We really couldn’t find another venue as eye opening and memorable. Each room was the perfect backdrop for our wedding pictures, whether it was the lush greenery in the courtyard, beautiful tiles, enchanting lights, or charming fixtures in the parlor. Jen, Katie, and the Tres LA team were wonderful to work with. They were organized, communicative, accommodating, and promptly responded to any questions we had. Their warm and approachable demeanor made the entire wedding planning process so much easier. They really cared about providing us and our guests with an unforgettable event. Moreover, Tres LA offered a diverse menu, beautiful plating, and delicious food. They were able to make fully custom drinks that had special meanings to us. The entire team went above and beyond what we wanted. We’re so happy we decided to have our once in a lifetime event at a once in a lifetime venue.

    The Perfect Venue For An Unforgettable Day

    We fell inlove with the Ebell Long Beach right from the beginning and knew that this would be the perfect place to host the most important day of our lives, our wedding. The venue itself is stunning. So much so that over the course of the planning, every time we came back, we had to pause for a moment to just take it all in.

    Our events manager Jen was a joy to work with! She was always prompt, engaging, friendly, and gave great recommendations.

    The wedding day came and the venue was on point, service was great and the catered food from Tres LA delicious. Our guests loved the venue, enjoyed all the food and had a truly wonderful time . The venue definitely played a big part in making our wedding more than we could have hoped.

    My husband and I were married at the Ebell last month and were so delighted to have found the venue. It swept us away and could not have been more perfect. The team there was a pleasure to work with. It was very convenient having the catering in house. We had countless guests exclaim that it was the best food they had at a wedding.

    We recently had our wedding reception at the Ebell on September 8th. I couldn't have been happier. The location is gorgeous and all of our guests were blown away. The staff I worked with throughout planning were amazing and quick to respond. If I had a question or an issue they always handled everything quickly and efficiently. If I could do it all over again I would choose this venue again. It might be on the pricier side but it was totally worth every penny.

    AMAZING! This venue is absolutely stunning! From all of the chandeliers, to the gorgeous tile floors, to the one of a kind art-- this venue is so unique. I am so happy we choose this for our wedding. The staff and service was on point and took care of all of our needs from booking to finish. The furniture and plants already there were so beautiful we didn't have to do much to the space. This place is absolutely magical as soon as you walk in.

    I am SO happy that my (now) husband and I found The Ebell for our wedding. In fact, I loved The Ebell so much, that once I saw the venue in person, I told my husband that if I was only allowed final say on ONE THING for our wedding, I wanted it to be our venue, and after that he was given veto power on all other decisions.

    While I got my way, we both ended up falling in love with the unique ambiance, the lush greenery, the rich textures and patterns that fill the massive space, and the accommodating staff; I know that we could not have chosen a place that was better suited to our needs and personalities.

    My husband, Andrew, and I had a wedding planned for 02/06/16 in Orange, Ca. The event was going too be outdoors and as it came nearer my husband and I worried weather would be an issue. Needless to say we switched venues for our February wedding in January, and chose the Ebell Long Beach instead, one month before the event. Crystal from Tres LA catering (the venue's catering company) was quick to work with us on our proposal, and we had everything finalized within two weeks. On the night of the event the staff was amazing, especially our event captain Jenn. Everyone commented on how quick and polite the staff were, and how tasty the Tres LA food was. The newly renovated space looked stunning, and only needed florals for decor. It was truly the wedding beyond my and my husband's dreams, and we wish we had more excuses to visit this amazing space. We are truly grateful for how easy everyone at Ebell and Tres LA were to work with, and would highly recommend this venue to anyone. My husband and I are Long Beach locals, and we are so proud a space this stunning is part of our community!

    Wow! All I can say is wow! We booked The Ebell Club in September 2014 and got married in August 2015. They switched owners during this time and they decided to renovate the space. I had fallen in love with the Ebell's charm, but what they did with it was stunning. It is an absolutely beautiful space. It was perfect for our wedding. Our pictures turned out stunning. Richelle and Jennifer are amazing women to work with. The day of the wedding I handed them a stack of frames and said "put them wherever." They made them look fabulous. I absolutely love The Ebell Club and I'm so happy that I had my wedding there. it was everything I wanted it to be and more.

    Extraordinary venue with extraordinary coordinators! We received numerous compliments from our guests about the beautiful space, decorations, and service. They enjoyed the freedom to move around the venue and socialize with one another, rather than being seated at their table the whole night.

    There's a lovely bridal suite upstairs for the bride and her party to get ready in. We had plenty of time to doll ourselves up as the venue was available to us at 9am the morning of the wedding. After the ceremony (we had it off-site), my husband and I were able to enjoy some champagne and collect ourselves before the grand entrance downstairs.

    The grand entrance was one of the most memorable parts of that night. Richelle Davidson, the coordinator, guided us on what to do each step of the way, so there was no need for us to worry at all. Our guests lined up on either side of the courtyard and cheered us on as we made our way through the grand wooden doors. It was a heartfelt moment!

    We worked with Richelle with all the prep, set-up, and day-of management. She happily listened to our requests and made them possible. She and the day-of coordinator, Jen, made sure that my I, my husband, and our families were stress free for our special day. They took care of all the decorations we brought, setting up everything in a sophisticated way, better than I could have imagined! You can tell they love what they do, and they give you 100% of the best service you could ask for.

    The Ebell Club has it all; uniqueness, character, vintage style, and quality. We truly couldn't have asked for a better venue or service. It was absolutely the happiest day for us and our families!

    I can't say enough good things about the Ebell Club!!! It was the first venue my then fiance and I looked at because it is right down the street from where we live. After seeing it and meeting Richelle, no other venue compared! You get so much with this venue for such a reasonable price! The layout is perfect and the style is a mix of 20s style with california spanish architecture. So beautiful!

    The Ebell Club really is the reason my wedding went SO well! The whole process was so smooth from start to finish because of Richelle who was my main point of contact the whole time. The best part about her and the venue is that they make sure your wedding is exactly what you want it to be. There are not many strict rules or set ways of things should be done so you have the freedom to make it what you want. Also, every time I had a question, Richelle was super fast at responding and giving her opinion on things which was very helpful!

    I was also able to drop off all of our decorations the week before the wedding so I didn't have to worry about getting it there on wedding weekend. During the wedding and reception, Richelle and Jen we amazing because they made everything stay on track and timeline run smoothly with no lulls in the night but we never felt rushed either. And they always kept my drink full which was much appreciated! And Richelle brought my husband and I appetizers after the ceremony which was awesome! I would definitely recommend getting the day of coordination because I don't know what I would have done without them!! Also they let us pick everything up the next day! Jen met us there at 11 AM the next morning and made sure we got everything we needed. So helpful to not have to rush around that night and worry about anything.

    If you want a flexible and fun wedding planning experience, have your wedding at the Ebell Club!! I cannot think of one thing that went wrong and it was all because of the amazing help from Richelle and Jen!

    This was the PERFECT venue for our dream wedding! The Ebell is an all-inclusive venue. We were able to host our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing all under the same roof! Because The Ebell is situated in a residential neighborhood, there is a shuttle service from a nearby parking lot. Our guests loved it! AND, it ran flawlessly. Our wedding coordinators at The Ebell proved invaluable!! Richelle and Jen took care of us throughout the entire wedding process! We highly recommend!!!

    Big heartfelt thanks to the Ebell Club staff for all of their expertise in carrying out the vision of our Black Tie New Years Eve Wedding. The Ebell Club is a beautiful venue that has so much character and charm. We couldn't have chosen a more PERFECT setting that captures the vintage appeal of the roaring 20's that we absolutely fell in love with. Our NYE Wedding at the Ebell Club was honestly amazing, magical, romantic, stunning and an epic night for all. Bravo!

    Our Event Specialist, Richelle Davidson gave us such personal & professional service during the planning of our wedding. She loves her job, and it shows in that she was extremely accommodating and always a pleasure to work with. She understood our vision and worked closely with us to achieve what turned out to be an unforgettable night for all.

    Their Day of Coordinator, Jen Maclean was a tremendous help in facilitating a smooth running ceremony and kept us on track throughout our event. The staff was on point (Richelle & Jen & Randy), ensuring that all bells and whistles are going off at the appointed time. It was NYE and the expectations were high.

    We went with their catering company (Jay's Catering) who provided a stellar dining experience for our guests. Food was a big deal for my husband and I. We wanted to provide an exceptional meal for our family & friends given that it was not only our wedding, but a New Years Eve celebration. Our guests were blown away by the food, and are still raving about how delicious everything was. From the Hors d'oeuvre's to the Filet Carvery & Chicken Veronique, mac n cheese: panko crusted, jack, asiago and gorgonzola, garlic mash potatoes, green beans, etc. and finally the mini dessert bar.

    The Ebell Club was amazing! My husband and I wanted a different set up than what the Ebell had in the past, and they were able to work with us. It ended up being perfect and everything that we wanted. The staff (Richelle, Jen, and Randy) was great to work with. They were always there for us with answer to our questions and moving furniture around to where we wanted. The transportation worked out great, and the guests really enjoyed it.

    We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Ebell Club in May 31, 2014. We were very pleased with how the entire day turned out and have had many compliments from our guests about the wedding, the venue and the food. We wanted a venue where we could have both the ceremony and the reception, we wanted everything indoors, and we wanted a space that had a deco feel with the building adding to the decor of the wedding.

    The Ebell Club is a beautiful building. We liked that there were three different spaces that we were able to use throughout the event and that we were the only event happening in the building. Everything flowed from the ceremony space, to the cocktail hour, to dinner and then to dancing. Richelle, Jen, the staff of The Ebell and the staff of Jay's catering did an excellent job of taking care of us and our guests throughout the night.

    We had a beautiful wedding at The Ebell Club.

    Where do I start. This past weekend I had what a lot of my guest described as the best wedding they have ever been to. I couldn't be more happy with my choice of venue. I worked with Richelle to organize everything, and from the start she was amazing! She always responded to me in a professional , helpful, timely manner. She is very personable, she will go out of her way to help you. She made suggestions to me, to help me save money. Her goal was to make this process for me as easy as possible, and yes wedding planning is hard. But with The Ebell and Richelle, it really was a lot easier. They are very flexible, the maintenance man Randy took time out of his schedule to help us set up our decor. My centerpieces weren't working right so they lent me supplies to use. Things like this made my day so much more special, because I knew if something went wrong, they would take care of it. And the food! OMG it was soo good. Jays Catering is awesome! Everyone keeps telling me how delicious it was. They even sent us home with two plates, and a lunch box. We inhaled the food that night, and wished we had more. And for any bride who wants to make a grand entrance, this is the place to do it. My guest literally gasped at my entrance from the second floor and down the stairs. Everything was beautiful. There is so much more I could say, but just know that you will not be dissapointed with this is choice of venue!

    Everything in this place had so much character. From the floors, to the pillars, the fireplace. Absolutely everything was amazing. We loved how we could have our reception and ceremony all in one place. The night of everything was seemless and just flowed from one thing to the next.

    I had the pleasure of getting ready in the bridal suite upstairs. I couldnt have asked for a more perfect place to get ready. There was plenty of space for me and my wedding party to spread out. We were even practing our dance moves pre wedding.

    Me and my husband decided to add the candle package and the on site wedding coordinator to our wedding. I HIGHLY recommend doing both to everyone booking their wedding here. The candles made everything look magical. It highlighted the venue amazingly and I felt like it couldnt have looked more beautiful.

    I worked with Richelle throughout my entire engagement. I cant thank her enough for everything that she did. She helped me withthings that didnt even have to do with The EBell Club. She was always there with a helping hand if I needed one. She answered every question I threw at her and was really fast on responding to my emails. During my wedding day she took care of me and all of my wedding party. She made sure I ate and got drinks when I needed them. Without her I dont know if my wedding would have went as smoothly as it did. She was absolutley amazing. I want to plan another wedding just so I can work with her.

    There are only two tiny drawbacks of this place. The first is that it doesnt have an ATM and it is a cash only bar. Not one guest complained about the bar because they were too busy having fun and raving about how beautiful the place was. It was more of an inconvience than an issue. The second is that you are required to use their catering. This is only an issue if you had your heart set on another place. They use Jay's Catering and it was delicious. All of my guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had.

    Richelle at the Ebell Club was a pleasure to work with. She was extremely flexible with our changing menu and patiently and quickly answered all of my questions. I would definitely book another event at the Ebell Club.

    Richelle and Jen at the Ebell Club are delightful to work with! Any bride would be lucky to have their wedding at this venue. They offer personalized service, go over and beyond what was contracted and paid for. It seemed like one of their family members was getting married! I look forward to working with them again soon!

    Having my wedding at the Ebell Club is one of the best decisions I have ever made in life! I truly mean that! Not only is the venue breathtaking and absolutely beautiful, but the staff is so friendly and helpful. Heather was my coordinator, I can’t even begin to explain how amazing she was before my wedding and on the day of. She made sure everything was absolutely perfect, and she is also very personable and professional. One of the wonderful memories I will have from my wedding day is the feeling of knowing Heather was there making sure everything was perfect. :)

    Beautiful, romantic setting ... brilliantly executed!
    We found the Ebell Club through a chance family referral, about six months before our January 2012 wedding. We own a business in Long Beach; the location and historic romance of the venue fit us well. More importantly, they allow only one function at a time, and gave us a secure, beautiful place for our January vows and celebration. From our first meeting, Liz Palmer helped us plan a wedding that had heart and soul. Loved her understanding of "what works", her care for who we are and what we wanted and her wonderful connections (especially DJ Bill Lovelace and florist Devynn's Flowers). Then we met her sister Allison, who guided us through an absolutely flawless wedding for 115 people! She brought enthusiasm, understanding, patience, heart and effectiveness to every moment. No detail was missed, and Allison made sure the entire team gave their best. It's been two weeks since our wedding, and our friends and family are still calling to express their "WOW" at Ebell Club and our wedding. Our photos are amazing, and very special. Thank you for the love, care and commitment you brought to our special day!

    I can not say enough great things about The Ebell Club of Long Beach. From the minute we walked in to tour the venue, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. The entire staff that we worked with were so helpful and responsive and easy to work with. A wedding coordinator is required and they provide one for a small fee if you don't have one. Our coordinator was Allison from the Ebell Club and she was the most fabulous coordinator making sure that everything was perfect, setting my mind at ease, and always comforting me in making sure that I knew that everything was taken cared of and would be perfect for our special day. She went above and beyond what I was expecting and I've made a new friend out of the whole experience :)

    The Ebell Club partners exclusively with Jay's Catering who was equally impressive (best buffet I've ever had in my life!!!), and have two options for parking depending on your guest count. It was so nice to get married in the main room, then head over to the cocktail room, dine in a separate room and then have the party in the main room. It was so convenient and such a beautiful and romantic setting. It was beyond perfect. I want to do it all over again!!! ;)

    My husband and I were married at the Ebell in April. Liz, Allison, Jennifer, and the whole team were there for us every single step of the planning process. They were quick to respond with an email or a call to every single question I had along the way, and I had lots! I read they held your hand along the way and that was one of the reasons we chose this beautiful locations. I can tell you, it is so true! Wedding planning is not easy. The staff at the Ebell understands that. They were happy to hear anything I had going on even just to support me through some of the rough spots. The staff absolutely loves weddings and it shows. They are passionate about what they do and you feel it through their heartfelt support.

    Our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the night flowed. Our guests are still raving about our food from Jay's too. I now know why the Ebell only goes with Jay's. Trust me, you don't want anyone else. Hint: You need the wild cherry macadamia nut salad. It will be a huge hit!

    We were a bit concerned about the shuttle and how our guests would feel about it, but they LOVED it. They say the vans were really nice and the transportation was flawless. It was fun to arrive in a lot on the beach and be whisked away to the Ebell. We even had a couple of guests have the shuttle take them back to the lot to pick up their oversized gift. The shuttle driver was happy to help them load and transport a tandem bicycle to the Ebell.

    We had Jennifer Alcocer for our day of coordinator. I can not rave enough about her. She put me at ease the whole way through. She was so sweet and calm and reassuring, and at the same time, she got stuff done! Our guests noticed what a wonderful job she did too even though she was mostly behind the scenes, quietly making sure everything was perfect. I am so thankful we went with the Ebell coordinator and happy they assigned Jennifer to us. From what I can tell, we would have been pleased with anyone on that staff as our coordinator.

    The location is gorgeous. The flow from one room to the next is seamless. The shuttle was perfect. The food from Jay's was amazing. Our day was a dream come true. The Ebell was the perfect choice for us.

    My husband and I just had our wedding at the Ebell Club on 2/26/11 and cannot say enough about how beautiful everything turned out!! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and we loved that we had the entire building to ourselves.......not like a hotel where you have strangers walking by and are limited to just one ballroom. The Ebell has three separate but connected areas to enjoy; one for the ceremony, one for cocktails, and one for dining. All the rooms are fabulous and have the most amazing architecture and design. We loved the historic nature of the building and its architecture. Many places to take great photos.
    Liz Palmer is the owner of the Ebell and was there throughout our entire event (and before) to make sure everything ran smoothly and as planned. Liz was wonderful at going over ever every detail with me and putting my mind at ease. She and her entire staff were so great and so helpful. In the months leading up to our wedding, they were always available by phone or email and always quick to respond to my questions.
    We had a great experience with Jay's Catering, as well. Jay's is the exclusive caterer for the Ebell Club. All of our guests were raving about how delicious the food was and the service was spectacular. Patti Robledo was our contact at Jay's and she was very helpful and accommodating.
    We got our photographer, florist, and DJ off of the Ebell's "preferred vendor" list, which I highly recommend. All three were amazing! We used Deanne Ragusa from Bella Fiore as our florist (flowers were sooooooo beautiful), Ben Aguirre as our photographer, and Tim Benter as our DJ.
    I am so so happy that we chose the Ebell to host our wedding and could not have asked for a more perfect dream wedding day. I highly recommend the Ebell Club to anyone who wants to have a wedding to remember!!

    We LOVED LOVED LOVED the Ebell Club. From the moment we went to check out the space to the day after the wedding the Ebell Club was there to help us out in whatever we needed. We paid the extra money to have the coordinator and we chose Alison. The fee was not very much at all when I think back to all the time she put in to make our wedding run so smoothly. She helped us in several stages of planning, the days leading up, the rehearsal, and the Big Day! I really had nothing to worry about on the day of the wedding. Alison kept such great time and was really on top of the ball. They made the day completely stress free and if there was a problem... I didn't know about it, Which is exactly how a wedding should be for the bride and groom. The location offers fantastic pictures for a very romantic and classy setting. The catering company was superb. We loved having the ceremony and reception in the same location especially with all our out of town guests. The transportation company was our only initial worry and it ended up being a non issue. It even worked out better because we set up a shuttle to run from our host hotel and guests could book a room for the night and not need to worry about driving home. The wedding was a dream and all our guests were raving about how fantastic it was. Thank You to everyone at the Ebell Club you really made our day one to remember. We would not change one thing about the day!!!!

    We had our wedding at the Ebell Club on 12/26/10. We worked with both Liz and Allison, both are AMAZING. Super helpful, friendly and willing to bend over backwards for you. I was a very particular "hands on" type of bride. As much as I wanted to, I wasn't allowed to help with the set up. They took care of EVERYTHING, all of the extra decor that I brought in, frames, candles etc. And they set it up exactly how I envisioned.

    Jay's Catering is the onsite caterer, they were awesome too. The staff was great and the food was delicious. We got so many compliments!! The buffet was perfectly set up.

    I hope I can have another event at the Ebell in the future!

    We couldn't have been more happy with our Dec. 4th 2010 wedding at the Ebell! The entire staff was AMAZING and so helpful! Liz was always very available and extremely helpful. A few weeks before they set us up with our personal Wedding coordinator Jennifer who was spectacular! Everyone associated with the Ebell made it the perfect day for My wife and I. We could not imagine having our wedding at any other venue and will forever be COMPLETELY ecstatic with our decision to get married at the Ebell

    We got married at the Ebell Club on November 6, 2010. We had the most beautiful wedding ever!!! Everything was so perfect and ran so smooth- from the day we booked until we left Ebell Club after our wedding. We worked with Liz througout the planning process and Allison was our "day of" coordinator. Both women were fantastic! There was never a thought in my mind that something may go wrong on our big day. And we have gotten so many compliments from our wedding guests about how beautiful our wedding was. Thank you Liz and Allison; our wedding truley was the best and most excting day of our lives!

    Our wedding was perfect in every way. The Ebell club worked with us and our budget from start to finish. Deann did our floral arrangements and matched our colors perfectly. Allison walked us through then entire procedure and made our wedding day so relaxing. Jay's catering is the best!!. The guests were raving about the food. American Limo provided the limousine services for my hotel guests and even discounted our bachelorette party the week before. They also provided shuttle services from the parking lot to the Ebell club and their drivers were courteous and professional. What a great wedding. I highly recommend the Ebell club for your wedding.

    A-MAZ-ING! I love this venue. It's absolutely gorgeous. The Ebell Club offers so many options it was simple. Jay's Catering is contracted through them and I can't believe all the compliments we got on the food. Oh, and the cake was included as well. Seriously. Once we decided to go with the Ebell Club we had a caterer, a cake, the lighting, chairs, linens, transportation, etc. It was so easy. Our day of planner was super helpful as well. I bugged her with questions for about 2 weeks before the wedding and she was happy to help. All in all I'd say 5 stars across the board for the Ebell Club.

The service that the staff provided was amazing. They really made us feel that we didn't have to worry about a thing, and we really didn't. Liz really did an amazing job helping us kick off our planning and we literally were helped every step of the way. The wedding went off with out a hitch and the club was spectacular. My finance and I loved that we could have both the ceremony and the reception in the same venue making it easy for our guests and on us. The fact that they have rental upgrades available on site was fantastic too. They really know how to make each event beautiful. I can't rave enough about the venue and the staff. Our guests tell us still that it was the most amazing wedding that they have ever attended. This is exactly what we intended. Thank you, thank you!!!!

    The Ebell was truly the venue of our dreams. My husband and I visited 5 other venues but we always kept coming back to the Ebell so we knew it was THE ONE. Not only is it the most beautiful space I have ever set eyes on but the team running it is impeccable. Working with the incredible team at TresLA was a joy. We knew we wanted our wedding to be unforgettable, and we especially wanted the food and drinks to be a focal point, and this team delivered above and beyond what we even expected.

    We had the pleasure of working with Jen and Sharon and they made our wedding day the best day of our lives. I can not say enough about what a caring, thoughtful, incredibly reliable, magical coordinator Jen was. She anticipated some of our wants before we could even ask for them. She expertly guided us through Tres LA's expansive menu and even worked with us to add off-the-menu desserts and appetizers that were really important to us. She was truly a delight to work with and we can not imagine our special day without her and her amazing team. We cannot thank them enough.

    To this day our guests still tell us that the dinner and appetizers they had at our wedding were the best they have had, and they they too want to get married at the Ebell or wish that it had been around when they got married. The presentation was gorgeous, everything was beyond delicious, and the service was phenomenal. We will recommend Tres LA and the Ebell to everyone looking for an outstanding venue/catering company and an unrivaled dining experience. We look forward to working with them again!

    Stunning Venue and Great Team

    Hosted our wedding in March of this year and we're blown away by the service we received. We were lucky enough to work with Jenn mostly and day-of coordination with Katie. They were both so professional and eager to answer any and all questions we had. Their prices aren't the cheapest , but are completely justified by the level of service from start to finish. ALL of our guests absolutely loved the venue and still rave about its beauty when we see them today. The food was also amazing, which shouldn't be a surprised since they are partnered with TresLA Catering! Wish we could host a party every year here!!

    My wife and I were married at The Ebell on 9/5/16, and it was everything we dreamed of. We found The Ebell through its feature on a wedding blog, and instantly, we thought it was stunning and fit our aesthetic perfectly. I can honestly say it is even more beautiful in person. It was the only place we toured, and we fell in love. The beautiful high ceilings, the natural light in the central room, the vintage details, the elegant ballroom. It was everything we wanted. We worked with Crystal throughout the process, and everything was very smooth. She was very responsive to our many emails and really great to work with. We used the in house caterer as well, Tres LA, and we felt that helped make everything seamless. On the day of the wedding, we had no complaints. Everything went smoothly, the staff was wonderful, and the location exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place for others.

    We had our wedding at the Ebell in Long Beach on 7/15/2016 and we absolutely loved it. The venue is amazing, and we both thought it looked even better than the pictures. Each room is very thoughtfully decorated and unique. The furniture and décor is all very stylish and cool. We hardly needed to bring in extra decorations because the space is so amazing. Our guests kept telling us how awesome the venue looked.

    We hosted about 150 people, and the space was perfect (although I am sure it could accommodate a larger wedding without any problems). The dance floor in the main room is very large, which worked perfect for our guests. Vai and her team at the Ebell were amazing to work with. Everything was carried out smoothly and professionally. We didn’t have to worry about anything on our big day.

    Anyone thinking of getting married in So Cal that wants a beautiful indoor space should visit this venue.

    My fiancée and I decided to get married on New Year's Day. I originally wanted a destination beach wedding, but we decided to keep it closer to home so that more people could attend. Because of this and because of the date being in the middle of winter and on a holiday, I had a hard time finding a venue, so we decided to look for a place where we could pretty much entertain the whole day and keep it intimate and not have to travel or be stuck out in the cold or rain.
    The first time, and every time, we viewed this place, I fell in love with the vintage look and feel, but I still had my heart set on going a little bit further from home, since we live in Long Beach. So, I traveled to a similar venue in Santa Barbara, and although the venue was beautiful and it was in the midst of Downtown and across the street from several parks and near the picturesque Courthouse, it just was not for us. The minute we walked away, I was on the phone with Richelle (Venue Coordinator) booking our venue to make sure that we did not lose our day.
    I am a control freak and had many concerns and questions, and I am pretty sure that I am on Richelle's top ten list of Bridezilla's, but she was always able to answer my questions and keep me at ease.
    With that, I wanted to put on a show for our friends and family and this venue made that happen. We had an evening wedding and tons of lighting and candles. If you think this place is beautiful during the day, it is spectacular at night.
    This venue was everything that I wanted. The only minor drawbacks to this place is the limited parking in the area, so we had to shuttle our guests in from the parking lot. Our hotel was close enough where we were able to shuttle our guests from the hotel. The area itself is a bit rough, but the venue is definitely a diamond waiting to be found. The venue has a large and beautiful Bridal quarters, but it does not have a Groomsmen's quarter.

    Liz and staff at the Ebell Club helped us create a beautiful wedding. It was more amazing than I ever imagined. Leading up to the big day, Liz was always available for questions and replied quickly. She helped us plan out everything and offered her expertise when we were stuck on a decision. The day of, Liz and Makayla were there every step of the way to make it run smoothly. All of our guests commented to us how organized and beautiful everything was. The location is unique and classic and I could not have asked for more. Plus, although we were forced to use Jay's catering, the food was exceptional and we kept getting wonderful comments from our guests on the quality of the food.     We went to the tasting and knew right a way that this was the place for our wedding. Parking is difficult but the transportation company that they provide were very efficient and polite. The choice of local hotels were close and excellent What a beautiful place all lit up at night. When you go inside it is like being in another time and place. The Ebell looked gorgeous all lit up at night and the acoustics were fantastic. We were so impressed with Allison and Liz. They really were on top of everthing and made it so nice and easy for us. This place is excellent and I hightly reccomend it.

    The venue was lovely and we had such a good time. I looked and looked for the right spot for our wedding, and couldn't find a better value!

    Gorgeous and Versatile Venue

    Over two years ago, my wife (then fiancée) and I decided that we were going to get married during the summer of 2020 (ha!). We wanted an indoor venue that would be air-conditioned and we wanted a venue that was classy, definitely not gaudy, and didn't have the same trite design elements that we saw in so many wedding photos. We looked at a few venues online, but we fell in love with the Ebell right away. It turns out that working with the management team at the Ebell, as well as their catering company, Tres LA Catering, was as classy and impressive as the venue itself. Our guests, and even our vendors, all commented on how picturesque the venue was. Admittedly, I don't think the Ebell was the most affordable option we saw, and it is a venue that is in high demand, so reserving a date may require some flexibility, but the Ebell is a very unique, particularly gorgeous venue, and is well worth the expense.

    The wedding was beautiful. Having both the ceremony and reception at one location made it easy. The staff was very good, we had no problems at all. The only negative was we got married in august when it was very hot and the bridal room had no air conditioning so it was difficult to get ready there and wait until the wedding started. I had the wedding planner from them, and she was ok. I met with her once, before the wedding to go over major details, but she kept asking me for help during my wedding which was her responsibility to take care of and she was not really nice to my mother n law when she noticed a tear in a curtain at the location.
    I would recommend getting married there. You are required to use their caterer and the food was spectacular. Everyone kept saying I had the best wedding food they have ever had. The set up was beautiful!

    The Ebell Club is a beautiful venue! Although, the amount that we spent to decorate and enhance the venue was so expensive. Heather our coordinator was the BEST! Liz was the only person we had a very hard time meeting and speaking with over the entire course of our year engagement. The other great thing about the venue is the catering company. Toni, from Jay's Catering is amazing.Her flexibility and helpfulness really made the experience for the two of us. Working with Heather and Toni made the Ebell worth the money and at times the stress. Their staff the day of was very attentive and professional. Everything went perfect and there were no problems or worries. Overall I think it is a great venue. But they do need to work on sense of urgency in regards to responding to emails and phone calls.

    Beautiful location and that is the only reason I chose the Ebell. I feel like at first it seems like a good deal but the costs add up. I gave low marks on flexibility because of the fact that you have to use their caterer, their lighting, and have to have an event coordinator at an additional cost. At first I loved the staff at the Ebell, but my day of coordinator didn't keep me to my timeline well, so I felt like I missed a lot of my own wedding. That wouldn't have been a problem if I had known I should keep my own time before the wedding as I would have a had my MOH keep time for me.

    I stumbled across this location on accident; it peaked my curiosity, so I decided to check it out. From the moment I stepped foot in the place, I fell in love. I quickly put down a deposit to book my date.

    I let my emotions take over and I didn't think about the price or the fine print. Though, the 2011 prices are much lower than when I first made the deposit in 2010.

    I gave the venue subpar ratings for the following reasons:

    1. If you book this venue, you are contractually obligated to hire a day-of coordinator. In which, the coordinator is required to have a valid business license and liability insurance. If you do not have a coordinator, guess what? You can hire their in-house staff for an additional $850 fee.

    2. You HAVE to use their exclusive catering company. Though the food wasn't all that bad, you have no other options to choose from. In my opinion, if you HAVE to use their catering, they should at least offer more than one vendor so the client can make their own decision.

    3. YOU have to hire their shuttle service because parking at the venue is NOT an option. Your guests have to be shuttled to and from a parking lot. So, this is an additional $900 added to your budget; depending on your guest count, it could be even more.

    4. After paying $3900 to rent the venue for the day, I had to pay an additional $295 to have the ceremony there as well. I feel like this is a redudant fee as I hired my own team and they handled the ceremony set-up.

    The agreement states this fee is for set-up (my vendors set-up the ceremony), an aisle runner (which I didn't need), and to open the doors for the rehearsal. Seriously? That doesn't equal $250 in my book.

    5. You can't hire an outside lighting company for up lighting. If you want this, you have pay $650 for lighting that they already have plugged into the wall. WTH?

    6. Nothing can be taped, stapled, nailed, or attached to any part of the venue. No bubbles, rice, confetti, or sparklers in or outside of the club.

    7. Lastly, the owner, Liz Palmer is unprofessional. The day that I dropped-off my deposit, she showed me a bride's DIY centerpieces and expressed how unappealing they were. Also, at my service appointment, she told me that if you are 30 or older, the money dance is "tacky." :-/ She created so much stress for me weeks before my wedding.

    In conclusion, the venue is gorgeous but allows for no flexibility. If I had it alll to do over again, I would book somewhere else.

    One star for the beautiful venue. Zero stars for the service. They make you jump through ridiculous hoops just for the chance to book your wedding there. We flew down to Long Beach from San Francisco during their monthly Open House in Oct. 2016. Loved the venue and immediately emailed them for a proposal the next day. Spent the next 3 weeks refining the proposal, knowing that dates for Oct. 2017 wouldn't open up until the end of the month at midnight (their policy). We confirmed the final proposal and indicated we would be ready to go to contract once dates opened. They said they would review our 1st & 2nd choice dates (both Saturdays) and confirm our choice after reviewing other requests from couples. The next morning, we received an email letting us know that NEITHER of our dates were available, all Saturdays were booked, and they only have Fri/Sun dates available. WOW. This is a serious investment of THOUSANDS of dollars and you just wasted an entire month of our time with negotiations! The Ebell never informed us that they sent out many more proposals for our date, knowing that there was a distinct possibility that we wouldn't get our chosen date. If we had known, we would’ve requested a second proposal for a Friday to compare the cost and make an informed decision. 

At minimum, an ethical vendor would have informed us that we should consider alternate dates or venues knowing our preference for a Saturday date! The Ebell was unwilling to make any concessions to correct the situation. They initially offered us 2 alternate Fridays for Oct. 2017 and when we requested a proposal for one of those dates, they retracted it and said it was already booked. This all occurred within an hour of them even offering alternate dates to us! 

Other event venues at least gave us a heads up that another couple was seriously considering our date to avoid this type of serious disappointment. The Ebell Club's level of unprofessionalism left such a poor impression. Buyer beware!

    The Ebell club ruined my wedding! Deann was the representative that introduced herself to be in charge of the venue on my wedding day. We booked the club for 2 hours, from 3-5 pm. At 4:30 Deann told us that we had no time left and we needed to get everything out. We argued with her and she told us that she would give us an additional 30 minutes even though it was our contracted time. She complained that she didn't want to wait for our vendors to come by and pick up our flowers, etc. We were forced to get our wedding party to move the large alter flowers and leave them on the curb instead of having the florist move them to the reception site. Since we were given 30 more minutes, we went outside and began taking photos. After about 10 minutes, our photographer tried to go back inside to pick up some of his equipment and found the doors locked.

    Deann had decided to lock up and left at 4:45 because she thought everything was removed. She never bothered to check with us to see if this was in fact the case. Our vendors still had their equipment and belongings including car keys inside. She never warned us she was leaving, and didn't tell anyone even though we were nearby. Our photographer, DJ and videographer's equipment were locked inside the Ebell. In fact our videographer still had his car keys inside. When we found out we were locked out, we tried calling Deann on her cell phone. We left numerous messages, if not dozens of messages on her cell phone, asking her to please call us back or come back and let us in. She never returned any of our calls. Our wedding coordinator, videographer, photographer and even my husband and I tried relentlessly begging her to call us back and got no response.

    This ended up delaying our wedding photoshoot which delayed our wedding and caused us to rush through much of our reception. We were given only 10 minutes to eat our meal. We spent so much time waiting outside the Ebell club, hoping someone would return our pleas and didn't have any time to shoot our photos. Our videographer spent most of the night making phone calls to Deann and trying to find a ride home to San Diego instead of shooting our wedding. We didn't even get important shots...like the Garter Toss because the time with the photographer ran out because our wedding was so delayed.
    I was in shock that anyone could be so "messed up"..for lack of better words. First she locked up and didn't tell a soul and then on top of that, she ignored all of our calls the entire night!

    The next day, when I woke up on what was suppose to be my honeymoon, the first phone call I made was to Deann. She finally calls me back! wow!

    She had the audacity to ask me nonchalantly...how are you? I was in disbelief!! After she locked us out, locked the supplies I needed for my reception inside along with equipment from my vendors, she began to defend her atrocious actions by saying that she told us to get our stuff out. I pointed out that she personally told me I had another 30 minutes. It was in our contract! She closed up early without telling anyone. She countered with the fact that she felt bad and came back at 9:30 to open the doors for our vendors to retrieve their stuff. When asked why she didn't call us back earlier she lied and said she didn't get any of our many messages and phone calls from 5 different vendors including myself. I am still in shock.

    This was suppose to be my big day, my once in a lifetime moment and she stole precious hours from my day..took away valuable time from my photoshoot and made me worried sick about it.

    I would not recommend the Ebell to anyone. Please be careful because the Ebell left us stranded and ignored our phone calls. Furthermore, after my review, they disputed it and made me send in tons of verification including the contract. They ended giving me a $200 refund for "unused time" although it was really hijacked time and now they have the audacity to dispute my review! The owner, Liz Palmer, apologized from the start for the representative closing early but now she's completely denying it ever happen. If I had lawyers, I would sue for more money because I felt that since they took 25% of my time away, I should be refunded at least 25% of my payment.

    The ebell has been a nightmare to deal with. Please save yourself the headache. Also, when I noticed other bad reviews on this website, I emailed Liz Palmer about it and she never got back to me. Me, being so busy, just decided to ignore the bad review but now I realized this was the single biggest mistake of my wedding!

    Nightmare experience! What a huge disappointment! The Ebell Club is beautiful, and from the moment I saw it, I wanted to have my wedding there. These ladies don't know the first thing about events. They made the week before my wedding an absolute nightmare. There was so much unnecessary stress and drama during what was supposed to be the happiest time of my life.

    As you can see, I thought this place was an absolute disaster in all of the areas that I could rate it. I felt like I was price gouged every chance they got. Maybe if you have no background in events, you wouldn't know any better. I however work in events and my planner works in events. We are not suckers. We know when we are being lied to and taken advantage of. And when we called them on it, they became completely hostile and unprofessional.

    When I booked the venue, I made it clear that I had a very very close friend who would be my coordinator. They said this was fine. Then about 5 months later, they informed me that if my friend coordinated the wedding, he would not be allowed to eat and drink with the rest of my guests. I was told that I would have to spend an extra $900 for a day of coordinator, just so my close friend could toast me at my wedding. I was irritated, but agreed.

    They refused to work with my coordinator, mostly because he wanted to do things that they just didn't want to be bothered with like blacking out the skylights (which is easily done and they do it for film crews). When he called to ask them questions, they never knew what he was talking about or had any answers for him. Then they just stopped taking his calls days before the wedding. No one answers when you call the club and neither Liz or Allison would answer their cell phones! They kept calling me, I got calls right in the middle of getting my nails done, getting a massage during my relax time, first thing in the morning while I was still sleeping, while I was entertaining my friends and family that were flying in from all over the country...

    At the wedding, even though I paid the $900 for the day of coordinator, AND had paid for my coordinator and his date as guests, he was told that he couldn't eat or drink at the wedding. They even went so far as to pull my father away from dinner to tell him that they were going to call the police if my coordinator had anything to drink! This is one of my dearest friends, whom I have known since I was 15, who has spent two weeks busting his butt to put my wedding together (with no help and only problems from the Ebell Club).

    I spent thousands of dollars on this place and they are threatening to call the police on my guests!!! It was outrageous!

    Here are some other grievances:
    They lied to me about the chairs, they told me that they have to rent them and that is why they charge $13 each, that was a lie, they own them.

    They charge $650 just to plug in lights that they already own and are already set up

    I paid for the candle package, which they are supposed to make sure that the candles get replaced throughout the night, but all of my candles went out including the ones by my cake. When we went to cut the cake, no candles were lit.

    They lied about being able to black out the skylights and about the level of insurance required to do it

    They tried to change the time of my rehearsal the day of because Liz needed to go pick up her kid

    No one was ever in the office to answer calls, and they were not timely in returning calls, which left us all in a panic

    Do you need any more? This beautiful place is so tragically mismanaged. It is my belief that part of the reason they try to gouge their clients so much is because their business is not doing well. I got married in the peak of wedding season and mine was the only wedding booked for the weekend. I guess that says a lot.


    The saving grace of the Ebell Club was the vendors they use. I honestly believe that if it were not for Jay's catering and the other vendors they use, this place would already be out of business. I can not say enough good things about Jay's. The staff was wonderful! After all of the drama from the Ebell Club staff, I was really worried about what my wedding day would be like. Luckily, Jay's staff immediately put me at ease. They took wonderful care of all of my guests and everyone told me that it was the best wedding food that they have ever had.

    If the Ebell Club is going to charge full service prices for their facility, they really need to give full service. They are trying to run this business on the cheap, but that is not acceptable for the prices they charge. If you don't care about money and are willing to only have the cookie cutter wedding that they offer, this could be a great place for you. If not, RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!
