The Best!!
I really wanted to work with someone that could help bring my day of vision to life. As a bride with wanting to feel in control I needed someone to work with that I could trust so that I did not need to be in control the day off. I did not want to worry about anything other than getting married and us having the best day. I booked Michelle after already booking most of my vendors. Michelle was super responsive and super helpful through the whole wedding planning process. I did not have to worry at all the day of my wedding about if everything was going to look how I wanted it- if people would get to where they needed to go or anything else. Michelle and team made our wedding day move with ease her attention to detail and timing was amazing!! I did not have to worry about anything and everything was set up exactly how I envisioned!!! Michelle was amazing and I truly enjoyed working with her on my wedding!! We had a lot of moving parts and everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there from getting ready to the Chruch to the venue. Michelle handled an issue at the venue without us even having to know or worry. Overall amazing team!! -

Hiring 'The Day Of' will be the best wedding decision you make
Hello fellow brides, coming on here to share my husband and I's incredible experience we had working with our Michelle & The Day Of team. I'll start off by saying that hiring The Day Of was truly the best decision we made for our wedding. If you are contemplating hiring a day of coordinator, believe me when I say it is THE most important vendor to hire. My husband and I are both type A / detail oriented. We meticulously researched, planned, and thought through every aspect of our wedding day, but wanted to hand it over to someone we could trust to execute it to allow us to fully immerse and enjoy the most special day of our lives. Michelle was the one person on earth that we could do that with. Her attentiveness, responsiveness, professionalism, attention to detail, tact, and adaptability is truly unmatched. She went above and beyond thinking through every detail, noting all of our preferences, and putting the symphony of vendors in motion for the most seamless wedding day. We had some complex logistics between our extensive religious ceremony, multiple venues, family photos, and special requests that Michelle and team were able to navigate without missing a beat. -

The Day Of is the best!
Michelle and her team are truly incredible. Michelle and Kelsey were an absolute pleasure to work with! They are detail-oriented, extremely organized, and the nicest people to work with. They were always five steps ahead ensuring that the venue setup was perfect and the timeline was executed perfectly without it feeling rushed so we had nothing to stress about. A big thank you to Michelle and Kelsey for making our wedding day perfect! -

Amazing Planner!
Hiring Michelle as our day-of coordinator, in hindsight, was the one of the biggest factors in my husband and I enjoying our wedding day.
Michelle is very experienced in wedding planning and coordination, and through that experience she raised questions and considerations that we had not addressed in our own planning. Her experience also enabled her to make practical and pressure-free recommendations when my husband and I were stuck on decisions. This all led to Michelle creating a great plan for our rehearsal and wedding day.
Throughout the event, Michelle naturally commands the room with a pleasant and professional demeanor - everybody gravitates to her and happily lines up to her planning. Members of our wedding party and other vendors both commented to us about how great she managed the rehearsals and the day-of events.
The added bonus is that her assistants are incredibly adept and follow her lead in both execution and professionalism, ensuring that everything goes smoothly; it's amazing watching them as a team. They ensured that everything ran to-plan, and they were quick to adjust and fix problems the few times they came up - in our case they were doing things like adjusting candles, fixing the lighting, and even helped me fix a snag in my dress. I can only imagine what things they resolved behind-the-scenes, but simply stated: there wasn't a single detail that they missed!
Looking back at our wedding, I would say that we hired all of our other vendors as a gift to our guests: that they would have a great experience and great food and fun dancing and beautiful scenery and amazing photos on our wedding day ... and then I would say that we hired Michelle as a gift to ourselves, that we could also truly enjoy our own special day.
She's professional and responsive, engaging and kind, detailed and efficient ... We obviously have no comparison to measure Michelle against, but it's impossible for us to imagine that she's not among the very very best in her field. I don't know how anybody could have done a better job!
Ultimately, it's your day and you deserve to enjoy it without any worries - my husband and I have the strongest recommendation that you should do yourself the biggest favor you can, and consider Michelle as your wedding coordinator. -

Stress-Free Wedding
Hiring Michelle as our day-of-coordinator (really I would say month of with the all the help she provided!) was one of the best decisions we made. She brought our vision alive for our wedding, ensured everything ran smoothly, and took over all communication with our vendors 2-3 weeks out from our wedding date. She created a detailed timeline for our venue and vendors, and basically took all the stress out of our hands! She attended two walk throughs with us at our venue. She really made everything run perfectly, and ensured that we could all just relax and enjoy the day. -

Perfect and stress-free planning
Working with Michelle and the Day of Team on our wedding was an incredible experience. Her experience and expertise advised us on important decisions like vendors and how the event should flow. Her guidance and attention to detail made both the planning process and our wedding day stress-free. Mother of the Bride
She had great recommendations for vendors. Provided detailed outlines to keep us on track. On hand for rehearsal. Provided exact timeline for wedding day, including makeup, hair and photos prior to ceremony. Oversaw wedding itself and reception. I was able to relax and enjoy the wedding because of Michelle. That was priceless. -

Michelle and Team were a dream
Michelle really went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding day ran smoothly. She took the time to understand every detail of our wedding day and really ensured that the things that mattered to us most went off without a hitch. We had a fairly complicated wedding with a lot of logistics and details and everything was executed perfectly. My family and I were also so grateful to go into the weekend at ease knowing that we had Michelle and her team there. Best decision we made!
Michelle is truly incredible and I cannot say enough nice things about her! I can honestly say hiring her was the best decision we made in our wedding planning! We brought Michelle in 30 days before our wedding date when planning had become chaotic and stressful. Michelle was so calm, reassuring, organized and responsive! She created an extremely detailed timeline, including details that I never had even thought of! Our wedding vendors had all complimented that it was the best timeline they had ever received and they all enjoyed working with Michelle. She is also a jack of all trades, the day of our wedding she was creating additional floral arrangements last minute to add to venue! It was so nice for us and our parents to know someone we trusted had all the details of our wedding day covered so that we could relax and enjoy ourselves! Michelle's assistant, Elizabeth was also extremely helpful. Anything we needed, she was there! Elizabeth even helped take photos that she knew the photographers weren't able to get! It was such a pleasure working with Michelle and Elizabeth, I would highly recommend them to all couples as they plan their big day! -

Flawless Wedding Coordinator!
Working with Michelle from The Day Of Events to help coordinate my wedding celebration was the best decision I could have made! I had a private destination wedding with a small party and a celebration back home with family and friends on a larger scale. Needless to say, there was a lot to plan with the wedding celebration back home and I needed the help!
The first time we spoke over the phone, it felt like I was speaking to someone who I had known for years. She was so easy to talk to and had this wonderful way about her that gave me peace of mind. She gave me several references to contact and all of the references gave glowing reviews. I had no doubt Michelle would be the right fit for my needs.
Michelle was incredibly knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire experience. She was thorough in every aspect of planning and covered every last detail. She offered advice whenever I needed a suggestion and she was fully committed to making my day everything that I had imagined!
A month prior, Michelle provided an on-site visit at the venue to get an overall sense of the layout and flow and we discussed so many things that I would have never considered! Weeks leading up the wedding celebration, Michelle made sure every last detail was coordinated and provided me with a day-of timeline. On the actual day, she and her assistant worked seamlessly and made for a flawless day! I would highly recommend Michelle as a wedding coordinator! Thank you, Michelle, for everything you and your team did for my wedding celebration!! -

My daughters wedding was a classy backyard event that went off without so much as a drunk uncle! I owe it all to Michelle! Her experience and advice leading up to the wedding was instrumental regarding so many small details I overlooked. She also ran the day from beginning to end and I never felt stressed. I had an absolute blast and I owe it all to Michelle’s professionalism and ability to handle everything from the advice, tips, listening to me ask too many questions, dealing with all the vendors and keeping me hydrated. All my guests commented on how nice she was to deal with anytime they had a question or needed help in any way.
I highly recommend her and would use her services again if I ever plan another wedding! -

We worked with Michelle for our son's bar mitzvah and it was the best thing I ever did. Not only did she think of everything, ask all the right questions and keep us totally organized, she was incredibly responsive, thoughtful and just a pleasure to work with. She has amazing relationships as well so chances are she'll know your photographer and caterer but she can also recommend centerpiece vendors or hair and makeup. She is thorough and on the ball all with a big smile and I've already booked her for my daughter's event. -

Michelle and her team were great, particularly on the day of the wedding. Even if you don't think you need a full-on wedding planner, do yourself a favor and hire Michelle as your wedding day coordinator!!! It was amazing not having to deal with any logistics on the actual day of the wedding, I cannot describe it enough.
The planning process was great with Michelle on my team. Michelle is so much fun and knows who to reach out to for whatever you might want (for example, custom cigars). She was a great liaison with the vendors - she coordinated directly with them and followed up with them persistently to make any changes we needed or to get information, pricing, etc. from them.
We really enjoyed working with Michelle and her team! -

Michelle was amazing to work with from the beginning! She was quick to answer any emails and meeting with her was always fun. We didn't do a lot of the traditional wedding activities, but she was happy to be flexible and accommodate our random requests and activities. I'd highly recommend to any bride that wants to enjoy the day of the wedding and not be running around coordinating and checking on people. Somehow my entire family showed up to pictures, dressed and ready to go on time - that is quite an accomplishment! -

My husband and I married this past May in Portsmouth, RI, and hiring Michelle was one of the BEST decisions we made!!!! I was planning most of the wedding on my own, and though I kept resisting the idea that I would need help on the day-of, a friend of ours in the wedding business highly recommended Michelle to me. I'm very grateful that she did! Michelle is so kind and generous with her time. Even in the months leading up to our wedding I felt that I could ask her questions, and she was always super quick to respond and generous with her time and advice. We were planning a very unique wedding with some complicated aspects. Michelle made sure she had an absolutely perfect understanding of what we were going for and what exactly we were envisioning for our day. She also helped us to hone our vision, and I'm sure the day would not have gone nearly as smoothly without her involvement! As the wedding day drew near it was SO helpful and comforting to know that Michelle had everything under control. She had all the information, the timeline, etc, and if things went wrong it did not fall on me in my stressed-out-bride-mode to fix things. Michelle had it all under control! Of course then nothing went wrong, at least not that I knew of, and our day went by so smoothly I couldn't believe it. I cannot say enough good things about Michelle! Michelle was hired to be a "day of" planner for our son's Bar Mitzvah. Throughout the entire planning process, even though we weren't meeting regularly, she made herself available and accessible by phone or email which was incredibly helpful. During those conversations, she offered advise and supplied me with names and contact info for her trusted vendors. As the event got closer, she took over all of the communications and became the point-person. And, on the day of the function, she arrived early and stayed the entire day to ensure that everyone's set up went smoothly. I am very pleased with how the function turned out and would highly recommend Michelle. -

We had done a lot of planning at the beginning on our own, but as our wedding day approached, it was clear we needed to pull it all together and get all of the components organized. The Day Of provided just that. From creating schedules and contact sheets for all of the vendors so that each one could see the overall plan leading up to and all the way though. The Day Of was there for us all the way though, and our special day went off without a glitch. -

Because we were getting married at our home, my then-fiance and I planned to just do all the planning ourselves. However as the RSVPs came in and we realized we were going to have around 175 guests, we started to panic. I quickly realized we were in over our heads, and convinced my fiance we needed to get some help. During my first conversation with Michelle, I literally breathed a sigh of relief, and knew immediately that things would be okay. Although there were still a few stressful moments in the planning process, like when the forecast suddenly called for rain and we had to move the cermony inside, we both felt much better knowing Michelle would ensure it all ran smoothly. There may well have been issues or glitches that came up at the wedding, but if so, Michelle and her team handled them and we were able to just have fun and enjoy the day. And despite the rain, we couldn't have asked for a better wedding! Thank you, Michelle! -

Michelle was terrific throughout the planning process. She provided us with creative ideas and helped us navigate the traditional elements that we weren't familiar with so that everything was done right. Our wedding day went off without a hitch, and I know it was because of Michelle's attention to detail and coordination throughout. Michelle was super helpful in terms of taking on and planning out a minute-by-minute schedule for our wedding day. She brought up details we didn't even realize we needed to cover. She became the point of contact for all of our vendors so we didn't have to worry about them in the days leading up to the wedding. It was hugely helpful in terms of helping me maintain my sanity as the wedding drew near. -

Michelle is Wonder Woman! I moved to California right after we got engaged, and I had to plan my entire wedding remotely. So, I really wanted someone who could make the wedding day easy. We only started interacting a couple weeks before my wedding, but she packed a lot of work into that time. She created a very detailed wedding day itinerary that was shared with all of the vendors, and she (along with her assistant, Kelsey) were very attentive to all of our needs. I barely even noticed she was there but knew she was pretty much running the show. Since we weren’t able to do a walk-through a few weeks before, she showed up and helped out at our rehearsal, which made the actual day run VERY smoothly. She even kept an eye on our troublesome family members.
Michelle is professional, fun, and upbeat which is exactly what I needed for my day-of coordinator. My mom and I were completely stress free when it came to set-up and things happening on time! I would highly recommend Michelle and The Day Of! -

Michelle at The Day Of was extremely helpful with everything that entailed "the day of." There are little things that you just don't think of when it comes to wedding planning, and Michelle was there to make sure we didn't forget any of those items. We met with Michelle two times in person prior to the wedding day, but she was always quick to jump on the phone to go over anything from general logistics to specific details like seating charts, and these conversations were not quick!
It was also comforting having her there during the wedding making sure that everything was okay and that I shouldn't worry about a thing. She was always on time for EVERYTHING and 100% prepared. She gave her input but didn't push an opinion. She made me feel like it was my day while respectfully explaining how she found things worked well and not so well through out her experiences with wedding planning.
Also, and I'm not kidding, at 10:00pm towards the end of the reception, she actually drove all the way back to me hotel (20 minutes away) pretended to be me, and got something out of the bridal suite that I had forgotten!!! I felt ridiculous letting her go when she offered, but she was quick to say that this was her job and if it was going to make me happy, then she was happy to do it. And it truly made me happy!
I would hire Michelle again in a second! It's worth it! -

I can't imagine what my wedding day would have been like without Michelle Schaufeld from Day Of event planning. Michelle immediately got what I was trying to achieve and made valuable suggestions, helped me work with vendors, and laughed along with me as we navigated the necessary and the nonsense of planning a wedding. On the actual day of my wedding, Michelle calmly and deftly handled all of the details. All I worried about was getting into that dress and down the aisle. The feedback from my guests has been phenomenal; my wedding has consistently been described as lovely, warm, intimate (and from a Marine), run with military precision. Who could ask for more..thank you Michelle and Day Of. -

The reason I chose Day of Events is because I felt they really understood what my vision was, and I had confidence that they knew how to execute it perfectly. They provide excellent service, and referrals to vendors that fit my budget. I was pleased with everyone that Michelle suggested I work with -- from lighting to table cloths to caterers - they were professional and easy to work with. I worked with Michelle and her team (Nicole and Garbriella) for my Oct 2014 wedding and it was wonderful. Before the wedding she provided great and timely suggestions and ideas. The weekend of the wedding they contacted all the vendor and made all the arrangements to move the ceremony from outdoors to indoors due to rain. It was such a load off my shoulders to them helping to coordinate and organize our special day, it was flawless! -

I have never used a Party Planner before...but now know it is a necessity, not a luxury! The Day of made my son's Bar Mitzvah go so smoothly...It was a warm, unique, perfectly orchestrated event the and best part was that I could actually enjoy it from start to finish because Michelle and her staff took care of every last detail. I cannot wait to start working with her on my next son's Bar Mitzvah (2016!) She pays impeccable attention to detail, is a great listener and communicator. I found her to be calm and composed and resourceful. It is very clear that she takes pride in her work and her services were priceless. Although I know what I like and am very hands-on, Michelle helped me in all stages of planning and then managed the flow of the day and night. I didn't know how much I needed her until I realized what we pulled off...a memorable and perfect weekend for my son, my family and friends. -

Michelle was a delight to work with. She is very professional and certainly knows her "stuff." She helped us with both the rehearal dinner and the wedding. Our event space was very tricky but she was able to help us plan and organize every step of the way. Michelle respected any wishes of the bride and groom and was willing to work within a budget on certain items. She responded to us immediately and never left our side during the wedding. Michelle is not only completely on top of her game and the most organized person I've ever met, but she's also just a great person! Spending time with her is like hanging out with your girlfriend (your girlfriend who is planning your wedding and doesn't get mad at you when you are a deer stuck in headlights over selecting linens) If you're going to have someone in your corner on one of the most emotional days of your life, you're going to want Michelle.
I was referred to Michelle by my caterer, Swartz Catering, when I quickly realized I was going to need someone to help manage event flow and vendors day-of in addition to being a buffer between me and my very well-intended Mom who seemed to think she could manage everything on her own (let's just say that wasn't the case :).
Michelle made it easy to hand-off information and contacts to her, provided recommendations that only someone with her experience would think of and was incredibly responsive -- I was in awe of how swiftly she took over: finalizing event flow, working through vendor questions and managing arrival and set-up.
Day-of, I had forgotten a few items at home and also didn't realize a few of the items we had brought hadn't been assembled. Michelle didn't blink an eye: she drove to my parent's house to pick everything up, she drilled and screwed together a wooden sign, she set-up electrical wiring for the band in addition to the millions of other things she was managing. The best part: she didn't tell me any of this was going on or let me know there were any problems.
The only thing I wish I had changed was to use Michelle for all our wedding planning! But I'm just glad I got to work with her for the months leading up until the Big Day. It quite literally was the BEST weekend of my life and that's in very large part due to Michelle. -

We never set out with the mindset of needed a wedding planner. But as the wedding day approached, we decided this would be an investment worth our time - primarily so we could enjoy ourselves on the big day rather than anxiously worrying about the vendor relations, ceremony and reception details.
After searching for planners who would be able to take all my hard work the last mile, I found The Day Of. Michelle was super responsive and worked tirelessly to put together a schedule. She reviewed vendor contracts and worked with them directly to make sure all questions/plans were accounted for. Michelle was patient with multiple changes that needed to be made and obviously listened to my wants (and also gave politely worded feedback when I needed to adjust my thinking). I felt like a cloud of anxiousness was lifted by her and her team in the weeks leading to the wedding.
When the weekend arrived, The Day Of team seamlessly executed the rehearsal ceremony as well as the entire wedding day. They were on the ball at every turn of events and made the day very enjoyable for me, my family, the wedding party and our guests.
The day after the wedding, we thanked our blessings for hiring The Day Of (which was a big deal considering my mom was at first opposed to outsourcing this work). They were so helpful, kind, and quick to move on bumps in the road. Overall, definitely one of the best investments we made from value perspective. -

There’s just not way to review Michelle highly enough.
Given my background in event planning and my control freak tendencies, I knew right away that I wanted to splurge on having someone help with the complex logistics involved in a wedding. However, I also knew that I had the time and interest to do most of the advance planning myself. Michelle specializes in day-of coordination, which was perfect -- she checked in with me every few months during the planning process to see how I was doing and offer ideas on vendors etc as needed (including helping me manage an almost-crisis with another vendor), and then about 2 weeks before the wedding I gave her all the information and she and her amazing team took over all the logistics so that my husband and I could completely immerse ourselves in experiencing our wedding day. Before the wedding day, Michelle was a godsend. On the wedding day itself, everything was so easy that I found myself asking, "everything went so smoothly, did we really need the coordination?" That was proof of how amazing Michelle was -- I know from past experience working on events that there were a million things going wrong and needing attention, and the fact that absolutely none of it made it to me and my husband to deal with is testament to her incredible work.
Hiring Michelle was one of the first decisions we made while wedding planning, and I couldn’t be more glad that we did. -

She had great ideas for setting up the venue. She was VERY helpful on the actual day of the event, but in a low-key under the radar kind of way. It was a big relief having her as part of the planning process. I planned a bat mitzvah on my own several years ago, with no help, and the event that Michelle helped with was so much less stressful for me. Worth every penny. -

I'm not sure where to begin in my review of Michelle and The Day Of - there is just an abundance of good things to say about working with her and knowing her.
My husband and I had a very DIY and budget-conscious wedding, and we were always unsure of whether having a day of coordinator was something we really needed. The answer is a resounding YES. The truth is that after all the crafting and designing and cutting and gluing and handmade details, you don't want to be thinking about any of that on your wedding day. Instead of dealing with it all ourselves and hoping for the best, working with Michelle guaranteed that everything went smoothly (and even if it didn't, we never knew about it!).
When I arrived at Nathan Tufts Park for our ceremony and walked down the aisle, I was overcome with so much emotion. Not only from seeing my husband and all the guests, but because our vision for the wedding day was so beautifully executed. Michelle transformed the park into an intimate and inviting ceremony space.
After our ceremony, we had a lunchtime reception at Flatbread Pizza Company in Somerville. I know that working to stage two venues must have been more stressful, but Michelle never let it show. Again the venue was just what we had envisioned - and in fact even better. Throughout the wedding planning process, Michelle took so much time in getting to know us, that she was able to decorate the space to really make it represent us.
From perfectly arranging our handmade details and decor, to working with our friends who grew and arranged the flowers, to coordinating with the trolley driver, photographer, rental company and more, Michelle is a true professional and even better friend.
On your wedding day you are surrounded by the people that matter most to you. Michelle fit in seamlessly and I know she genuinely cared about our happiness. Again, I cannot say enough good things about Michelle. I do not hesitate to recommend her to anyone!

Michelle provided a much needed sense of calm and organization leading up to a full weekend of events Bat Mitzvah events and far exceeded our expectations of managing a Saturday evening event for over 260 people. Michelle served as my hands, eyes and ears so that I was able to be with my daughter in the afternoon and walk in to a setup that had her beautiful magic touches added, enhansing my planning in such a positive way we were thrilled. She had every detail checked and brought things to my attention with a sense of calm. She addressed major and minor issues throughout the night as they came up and was on top of situations before I was even aware of them with solutions in place and worked out behind the scenes without guests being impacted. She was a pleasure to work with and I felt lucky to have her with me for the evening. I highly recommend her and will absolutely have her with me for our next event - I would not do it without her. -

Michelle Schaufeld is so good at her job that people should write books about her. After her stellar work at my sister's wedding two years ago when the officiant didn't show and she made a rabbi appear 45 minutes later, having her at my wedding was a no brainer.
We met with Michelle for the first time 2 months before our wedding to go over our prior planning. She was warm and incredibly organized.
Two weeks before our wedding Michelle actually became my best friend. She took over contact with my vendors, even helping to set up calls with our photographer and band manager. We emailed back and forth about 7 times per day. She was always in my court and kept track of every minute detail. Her business is called Day of, but Michelle held my hand for those weeks prior and allowed me to enjoy the excitement of those potentially stressful lead up days.
At our rehearsal, Michelle was the perfect balance of in charge and her calm, sophisticated self. I've been at enough rehearsals to know the planner often comes off as a bossy jerk trying to quiet happy people; not the case with Michelle. She was so happy WITH us.
On my wedding day, Michelle was like a best friend who seemed to do her job as a labor of love. She did things I never would have thought of like alphabetizing the table name cards, getting kiddish cups and kosher wine under the chuppah, and making sure the bridesmaids put their bouquets on the cake table for better photos. She squeezed my hand with reassurance as we lined up for the ceremony, gave me the warmest hug before bustling my dress, and made sure our carefully planned schedule went off without a hitch. When it was time for her to leave, I felt like I was saying goodbye to a close friend.
I hope Michelle is still doing this when I'm planning bar/bat mitzvahs for my kids. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and recommend her to anyone looking to have a fantastic wedding experience.

You need Michelle. No seriously, you need her. I'm sure you have Pinterest-worthy ideas but on the day of your wedding, you will not be willing to thread ribbons through all 150 of your escort cards. Where do I begin????? Michelle and her team (huge shout out to Melissa and Nicole) are AMAZING!!!! My biggest piece of advice to my engaged friends is to hire a wedding coordinator especially for the day of your wedding! And if you live in Massachusetts....hire The Day Of!
Michelle helped me organize everything! The timing, the decorations, the vendors, etc. and her team executed those plans to perfection on the day of the wedding. Not only are they amazing at what they do but they are the pleasure to work with. I honestly started to miss Michelle's emails once the wedding was over! :-)
I quickly learned that the tiny little details can make or break your event and Michelle and her team took care of every last detail! I was calm and collected the day of my wedding. Instead of answering a million phone calls from vendors or worrying if everyone was going to show up on time - I was enjoying breakfast with my bridesmaids and getting my hair done. What a bride should be doing! I was completely confident that Michelle's team was taking care of everything!

Michelle and her staff did a great job at our wedding. We had a very limited budget for a wedding planner, but she was willing to work within it and brought great value for the money spent. She knows what she is doing and her organization forced us to keep on track and make decisions for the wedding to come together. I think a wedding planner is not a good to have, but in reality a must have, and the closer you get to your wedding date the more obvious it becomes that someone has to manage the affair and handle all of the vendor issues, setup, deliveries, etc. Michelle and her staff did this for us and it all came together rather well.
Also, she was great to work with and quite personable. She did not mind helping out here and there as things came up without making everything a transactional relationship. I know little about weddings. Its the kind of thing you hope to go through once and not learn about again. I am, however, a program manager for the government, and I know this occupational subset quite well. It is hard and requires a high degree of competence, attention and organization. I'm also not the kind of guy that just pats everyone on the back for showing up and sucking air. Michelle, along with her team, definitely delivered at our wedding. Others would be smart to hire her. -

From the start of our wedding planning, Michelle was a source of support, vendor recommendations and insight related to items that you need to consider when planning a wedding. Michelle helped my husband and I prioritize aspects of our day that were essential vs. negotiable, and had the ability to read between the lines to help us truly pull out our vision for the flow of our day. Michelle went above and beyond for us, and I truly trusted her with bringing all the details of our day together perfectly. I can honestly say, that as soon as our Rehearsal started on Friday night (which Michelle ran for us), I was a 100% relaxed bride. Because of this, I had the time to stop, be in the moment and look around and enjoy our day -- and no bride can do this unless you trust someone like Michelle with the most important day of your life! A childhood friend recommended Michelle to me. I really did not think that we needed help, but my mother insisted and so I reached out to Michelle. Michelle is a super hero! She joined my team of vendors last minute and saved the day. I was certainly a tough client to take on, I am a control freak, OCD and a project manager by profession, I know what I want, how I want them done, and prefer to do it myself as I can control the outcome. Typically, this is because my thought is "if it doesn't come out as I wanted, I have no one to blame but myself". Because of this, the idea of hiring an event coordinator was completely foreign and seemed like an unnecessary expense. I WAS WRONG! Michelle took the time to learn how I worked, she certainly proved I needed her, and I wouldn’t have had my dream wedding without her. Some stuff started to fall apart weeks before my wedding, and I started to feel out of control and like I needed to reach for help. I made the call to Michelle, based on a very trusted recommendation. She instantly put me at ease. She hopped on board, and started asking all the important questions, and I could tell she put as much heart into her work, as I was putting into my wedding. She was exactly what I needed. She handled the stuff I didn’t want to do, or control (confrontations, persistently following up with unresponsive vendors, timeline distribution, and vendor coordination). I love all the details that go into planning, but at the end, everyone warned me I would be overwhelmed, but I never imagined my brain would be completely wiped blank. When many hands started "helping" me last minute, I didn’t know where anything was and I went completely brain-dead. (Seriously, I went to my hair appt without my photos, veil or tiara, then Michelle called me and I had completely forgot I even had her! My brain was COMPLETELY blank.) So needless to day, I forgot many important things that day, but Michelle didn’t! She had everything covered, from the church, to the limo, photographers, videographer, caterer and reception. She knew where everything was supposed to be, and checked twice to make sure it was perfect. I couldn’t more highly recommend her. She is amazing, incredibly easy to get along with, and on top of her game. You can tell she loves what she does, and she does it with all of her heart, as if it were her own event that needed to be pulled off flawlessly. I will be forever grateful to Michelle for helping provide my dream day, and telling all my friends they MUST use her. -

Michelle & team ensured that we remained calm and collected those last few days leading up to the weekend - everything from the cocktail napkins to last minute printing, she was a superstar. I am sure it was not easy to make our wedding appear seamless and perfect and we are so appreciative. WCC looked incredible and everyone was in awe. Even when small snafus emerged throughout the day (none of which had to do with Michelle & the Day Of team), we never noticed them as they were dealt with immediately. It was such a great feeling to be able to email Michelle at the 11th hour for advice, insight, or a last-minute deliverable, and enabled my parents to enjoy themselves at our wedding! We hired Michelle to serve as the day of coordinator for our wedding and she was great. She was very helpful in coordinating transportation to our wedding reception and ensuring all of our guests arrived on time (she hired additional assistants who went to be onsite at the hotels where we had out of town guests staying which was great). She was very responsive to me through the entire planning process and professional. The only glitch was that the transportation did not return to pick up guests at the end of the night on time (they were making several trips) and Michelle had left (as had I) so weren't able to be there to assist so I would suggest you ask her to stay on until the last guests are about to leave. I would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding in/around Boston/Cape Cod. -

We had a very DIY style wedding, but what we didn't want was to have us or our family and friends running around on the day, setting things up or worrying about what went where. A couple of months before my daughter's wedding someone recommended to me to hire a wedding coordinator to be there on the day of the wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly and so I wouldn't have to worry about things on the big day. As MOB, this was the best advice I got. Michelle and Melissa were wonderful. They attended a final planning meeting at the venue about two weeks before the wedding and then Melissa was there from 11 am to 11 pm on the wedding day. It was like having my own personal assistant, and she made sure every detail was just as planned. Highly recommend! -

My mom and I were in search of a wedding coordinator who would be there to answer questions, make suggestions, etc., but not be in our faces for an entire year about the wedding. I'm not sure how many brides can truly say they have absolutely NO STRESS on their wedding day, but I certainly can. Everything on the day of our wedding was perfectly coordinated, on time, and smooth, thanks to Michelle and her team of assistants!
I worked with Michelle for about a year leading up to our wedding, and hired her for full planning. I had already found several of the vendors but there was a LOT more work to be done because we had our wedding at the deCordova (which required us to bring in a tent, caterer, furniture, etc). Michelle already had great relationships with our key vendors, which made it easy for her to work closely with them to ensure that everything was set up and on track in the months leading up to the wedding. She is very persistent as well--when a vendor was unresponsive, she would persistently nudge them and keep me in the loop, so I didn't have to stress out about anything. She thought of everything, so nothing was overlooked in the process (I would totally have forgotten to get a guest book and some other things we needed). It was absolutely necessary to have her on board and the wedding would not have been such a success without her. -

I used Michele to plan my daughter's Bat Mitzvah reception and another party later that evening. I rated it as I would a wedding because the event was that involved and detailed. Michele was amazingly thoughtful, responsive, prompt and didn't ever cut any corners in her dedication to helping me. Whenever a challenge crossed her path, she met it with determination and grace. For example, we had to have an afternoon party but wanted it to be like a night party. There was a large glass window that with light shining through would have ruined the effect. She spent weeks finding the right approach (hanging reasonably-priced dark curtains backwards) and negotiating with the temple administrator to be able to take the regular curtains down and hang the new ones just for the event. The number of people who told me later that it was the best afternoon party they'd ever been to because it was like a night party meant that little details like that made all the difference. Michele also knew so many people in the industry and is highly experienced. I couldn't have done anything close to what Michele did on my own. It was a luxury to be able to hire her, but she went above and beyond at every turn and I never once regretted it. -

In my searches for a day of planner, I came across many that would only allow you to communicate with them during your scheduled meetings - which just felt like one of those stresses you didn't want to have to worry about while planning a wedding. Michelle very quickly offered up that I could call or email her at anytime to get advice or bounce ideas off of her. She has a great network of vendors in the Boston area (which was very helpful since I was planning from the west coast) - she ended up recommending many vendors that we used like the ceremony musician, our florist and our hair / makeup vendors. I would email her with questions and she always offered up advice on her past planning experience. Though I initially felt sticker shock after getting her quote, it ended up being very reasonable and 100% worth it.
On the actual day of she did a great job keeping the solving many of the day of event issues that crept up (ie. dealing with tent vendors that put the tent up incorrectly etc) She also quickly worked with the vendors to come up with a rain contingency when it unexpectedly rained. I trusted her to make sounds decisions that made sense for my wedding day but also that wouldn't greatly change my budget.
The only thing I wish her and her assistants kept a better eye on is how the tent looked during the wedding - and making sure some of the other vendors were we're keeping their areas clean (ie the caterers). For example, I went up to the bar and it was a total mess (not organized, not clear what you could order, dirty dishes combined with clean ones etc... also, my welcome table ended up having dirty dishes on it…) In the grand scheme of the wedding it didn't matter to anyone else but me, but that extra attention to detail is something I would have really appreciated.
Overall, I would 100% recommend Michelle and her services to anyone. She was lovely to work with and ultimately made my day that much easier to enjoy knowing that she had it handled. -
