My wedding venue included with a cake from The Bake Works and I'm so glad it did. All of the sample cupcakes were phenomenal. We ending up going with chocolate chip cake and pastry cream. Our guests LOVED it, and so did we! I emailed Amanda about a grooms cake, and she was so helpful! It turned our perfect and tasted great, which is key! HIGHLY recommend! Thank you, again!

Dream Wedding Cake - Delicious Flavors and Beautiful Design!
Our wedding cake from The Bake Works was phenomenal! We went with two flavors—chocolate chip cake with cannoli filling and vanilla cake with lemon filling—and both were a huge hit! The chocolate chip with cannoli filling was decadent and rich, like a perfect Italian dessert, while the vanilla with lemon was light, refreshing, and ideal for our early fall wedding.
From our tasting to the big day, Amanda at The Bake Works was attentive, professional, and made our cake look as amazing as it tasted. Highly recommend to any couples looking for a show-stopping (and mouth-watering!) wedding cake.

Delicious wedding cake!
We had a choice through our venue of the bakery that would provide our wedding cake. We are so happy we chose The Bake Works. They answered all of our questions and it was wonderful to be able to taste multiple samples before ordering our cake. We decided on lemon cake with vanilla icing. It was delicious and so unique to have as our wedding cake!

Incredibly delicious cake!
We had to use Bakeworks as our wedding cake provider per our venue's/caterer's requirements, but I am SO glad we did!! Truly even if we didn't have to use them, I would have, as it was the most delicious and beautiful wedding cake I have ever tasted/seen. It's hard to make a moist, decadent, and flavorful cake en masse, but Bakeworks 100% nailed it and exceeded expectations. They were super easy to work with and easily accommodated our flavor and design requests (HIGHLY recommend having different flavor layers- we alternated between chocolate and vanilla with raspberry jam filling to get the best of both worlds). Ohhh even just writing this review, I wish I could have a bite right now!

The best ever!
We got married at The Mainland, who works closely with Bake Works. If I had to choose a company on my own for the wedding, I would choose Bake Works all over again! Our wedding cake was not only beautiful, but absolutely delicious. And don’t get me started on the cupcakes - oh my god. They were phenomenal! The flavors were out of this world. And the presentation for both the cake & cupcakes were perfection. Amanda was responsive & in contact with us every step of the way. The entire process with Bake Works was seamless. We are looking forward to our one year anniversary so we can eat our cake! But, we will probably make a trip down to get some cupcakes, because they are just that good. Highly highly recommend Bake Works for your wedding day! You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful Cake, Equally Delicious
Amanda and the team at The Bake Works gave us a truly magnificent wedding cake. Guests and staff came up to us numerous times to tell us how beautiful the cake was, and we received even more compliments after our guests tasted it! We were able to select two different flavors for the cake--black and white (with vanilla buttercream) and almond cake (with vanilla pastry cream) and it was fun to hear which option are guests were selecting... though I think my husband's choice (the almond cake) won in the end! The wedding cake was perhaps even more important to me than the dress, and I could not have been happier with the final result. The Bake Works even crafted a lovely birthday cake for my aunt (as it was also her birthday!), covered in buttercream rosettes. Both cakes exceeded our expectations, and the cake cutting/birthday surprise was easily one of the highlights of the night!

It was "just a cake" until I tasted it
My husband and I never planned to get a wedding cake (we felt it was totally unnecessary, to be honest), but we found out that our venue had a relationship with The Bake Works and that a cake would be included. BOY ARE WE GLAD IT WAS! They absolutely exceeded all of our expectations of what a wedding cake could be. We opted for the "spice cake" flavor — an upgrade that was well worth it. We had a number of dessert options for our guests, but all anyone could rave about was the cake. As for the design, they followed our instructions to a T. It was elegant and absolutely delicious. I'll never underestimate wedding cake again, now that I know how fantastic it can be.

Our wedding cake was so beautiful I did not want to cut it BUT at the same time, the cake itself was literally the BEST my husband had ever tasted so we gladly dug in! I also have Celiacs Disease and needed a gluten free option and the cupcakes provided were beyond incredible! I sent two photos with my vision and they executed it perfectly!! The Bake Works did our wedding cake this past May. It was delicious and stunning. We did not get to have a classic cake testing given COVID but the Bake works arranged a take out box with samples of about 8 or so variety of cakes. It was really fun to try different combos of cakes we typically would not have. We did end up sticking with a classic vanilla vanilla cake. IT was delicious and many of our guests enjoyed it ! Our florist did fresh flowers for it too which was stunning. Highly recommend this for our wedding cake needs (:

We ordered our wedding cake from BakeWorks and it was delicious. The cake we ordered was based on one we saw on the website (marbled fondant so that it looks like actual marble). The cake was beautiful and so so delicious. I am thrilled with the result, and so were our guests. My mom kept saying how delicious it was. I often find wedding cake to be underwhelming and am so glad that BakeWorks exceeded expectations. We did a "tasting" during COVID which meant that we picked up a box full of different slices of cake with various fillings and frostings. They were all really delicious and we had a hard time choosing which combination we wanted. I wish I lived closer to the bakery because this would be my new go-to for all cakes in the future. Highly recommend!

Our cake from the Bake Works was awesome! They could not have been any easier to work with. We were able to pick up a box of about 8 different cake slices from which we could create combinations to have our own cake. We picked vanilla frosting, vanilla cake, and raspberry jam. We all absolutely loved the cake plus the decoration was exactly what we wanted. It's so difficult to leave that top layer in the freezer- we can't wait to finish it!

We absolutely loved our cake for our small micro wedding in Sea Isle. We called Bake Works and with very little notice they delivered in every sense. I sent them a photo from Pinterest and it was exactly what I had hoped for. They have several flavors which all sounded delicious. We went with cannoli and lemon blueberry which were both different and amazing. I wanted a good cake, a pretty cake but did not want to spend a lot of time and/or money on this aspect of our wedding. BakeWorks website had a lot of beautiful designs to choose from make it super simple to communicate my choice (although they are happy to customize). After a short phone call everything was set up and taken care of. They we gracious and offered to have us in for a tasting and make the process as involved as we would like but were not pushy with the fact that we wanted to keep this aspect simple. They were a breeze to work with and delivered a beautiful cake to the venue day of.

We could not have asked for a better or TASTIER experience than what we had with The Bake Works! They really listened to us at our consultation, and the cake on our wedding day was just as we imagined plus more! The cannoli cake flavor is INCREDIBLE!! Amanda from Bake Works was amazing! I sent her a picture of what I wanted my cake to look like and everything came out perfectly! I was nervous that we had not allotted time for cake tasing, but Bake Works did not disappoint! Our cakes was delicious! Many of our guests said it was the best wedding cake they ever had. They made the cake large enough so we could take the entire top tier home. It was so big, we only froze 1/2 of it and got to enjoy a few more slices of our wedding cake the days after.

Let me start by saying that neither my husband or I are the biggest cake fans. That being said, if I could eat our wedding cake every day, we 100% would!
The Bake Works was at our tasting, and they provided a box with slices of their most popular flavors. Each bite was better than the next. After much deliberation, we decided on the almond cake with vanilla and chocolate pastry cream and a buttercream frosting. Guest were flagging down servers asking for a second slice, it was THAT good! We can't wait to dig into our cake topper (safely stored in our freezer) on our 1 year anniversary!

Bake Works made our wedding cake for our wedding in Stone Harbor, NJ in June. They made the most fun and delicious cake! We wanted a slight nautical theme in a classy way and they used the blue and white ribbon and a lavender nautical knot in the center to match our wedding palette. You can have your cake and eat it too!
The Bake Works was part of our package at The Ashford Estate, but Amanda and the amazing sweets she's able to create ended up being so much more than that. We ended up going with chocolate and vanilla flavors, but that's only because it was the most flavorful vanilla and chocolate we've ever tasted. The buttercream was so delicious, not too sweet, and not too heavy. Our cake and cupcakes were a hit! Thank you for making our vision possible.

Our cake was amazing! We got many compliments on it from guests. We got married at Smithville so the cake was included in the package. We were looking for something simple yet pretty. I was expecting a very limited selection to choose from however that was not the case. We found the perfect cake for our perfect day!

We had so much fun at our cake tasting here and our wedding cake was pretty and delicious! We went with a white, ruffled, simplistic design and a tier of black and white a tier of mango coconut. Their cake is soft and scrumptious and their mango coconut is to die for. We stayed for the week after our wedding at the beach with family and ate the top tier the last day - everyone again commented how delicious it was. We'll definitely be coming here for our anniversary for a mango coconut cake!

Amanda and her team were phenomenal. The Bake Works has a contract with our venue, The Smithville Inn- and it did not disappoint. Our cake tasting experience was amazing and one of our favorite items to cross off our very long wedding to do list. Every single piece of cake tasted incredible, it was really hard to choose - Amanda is VERY patient during this process! We finally came down to two flavors and then the fun began with designing the cake. I had an idea in mind, but Amanda was able to bring it to life with a small sketch on a piece of paper and then tons of pictures on her iPad to really help us both be on the same page and visualize. Seeing the cake was one of my favorite parts of doing a sneak peak of the wedding reception area before our guests arrived. And the cake was SO FRESH and delicious, everyone was raving about how delicious and fresh the cake was - it was certainly not your typical wedding cake taste! I CANNOT wait to crack that baby open in a short 51 weeks for our one year anniversary and eat some more of the most delicious cake ever!!!

We recently used The Bake Works for our wedding day, and our cake was absolutely perfect! Not only was it DELICIOUS, it looked beautiful and exactly how we pictured. We had done a tasting about 6-7 months in advance of our big day, and had a great time tasting all the cakes and learning about our options decoration-wise.
The Bake Works was great to work with - probably the easiest vendor in terms of not needing to do too much on our end -- just made sure they knew what we wanted and they delivered an amazing product! Highly recommend. We worked with Amanda, and she was great. Can’t say enough about their great work and delicious cake! Thanks again for everything -- our guests loved it!

The cake at my wedding was breathtaking and absolutely perfect! Waling into the consultation and have a couple of ideas they were able to take all of the ideas and make them into one amazing gingerbread themed cake to match the Christmas decor of the wedding. The cake even included a gingerbread Bride and Groom. I can not wait to work with them in the future!

The Bake Works made our cake and favors for our November 25th wedding at The Smithville Inn. We met with Amanda who understood our vision and allowed us to taste many cake combinations. While they all were delicious, we ultimately decided on a pumpkin/vanilla cake. It was perfect for our fall wedding and super tasty! We also asked Amanda if they would be willing to make cookie wedding favors for us. We provided them with favor bags and custom stickers to package the favors. Amanda even did a test to make sure grease didn’t leak through our bags! The Bake Works team went above and beyond and we couldn’t be happier with our wedding cake and favors! Our wedding cake was so elegant, beautiful and DELICIOUS. I had a picture of a cake that I wanted and Amanda was able to make it our own by suggesting a few details and adding flowers that coordinated with the rest of the wedding. I live abroad and Amanda was so accommodating with arranging appointments for when I was in the States. She quickly responded to any questions asked via email. We also ordered chocolate covered strawberries for the wedding from Bake Works. Amanda was very honest and told us she would only do them if she could find a decent quality of strawberries (our wedding was Sept. 30th). Luckily, we were able to have the strawberries and our guests loved them! We cannot wait to eat the top layer of our cake for our first anniversary!!! Thank you, Bake Works!!!

The Bake Works was partnered with our venue (Icona) so the cake was included in our package. Shortly after booking our wedding I found out that I have Celiac's Disease and we weren't sure what was going to happen now with our cake. Amanda contacted me the day after we did our tasting to follow up and see what we were thinking. I explained my situation to her and she told me how the bakery does offer a GF option (which was cupcakes) and told us how we could incorporate them with the cake. There was an upcharge, but it was very affordable and manageable. Amanda was so responsive seeing as she kept in contact with us while she was on vacation just to make sure our order got in, and she was so professional. I freaked out when I saw our cake the day of the wedding because it was prettier than we could have ever imagined. Everyone loved the cake and told us how good it was. The GF cupcakes were a hit! They were hands down the best ones I ever had, and there were no leftovers since a lot of our non-GF guests started eating them as well!

Yes, we may be a little biased, but this was literally the BEST wedding cake we have ever had! From the variety of flavors offered, to the aesthetic of the cake to the actual taste of the cake....there are not enough words! Weeks later and our guests are still commenting on the freshness and flavor of the cake, even going so far as to say that our cannoli filled cake was the BEST cake THEY have ever had! Can you ask for anything more?! My husband and I are doing whatever we can NOT to dive into the top layer of our wedding cake which we're saving for our first anniversary because the cake was THAT GOOD! Already trying to figure out when I can order another cake from them! So worth it!

The staff at The Bake Works was so awesome to work with for our wedding cake!!! I actually first tasted the yumminess that is The Bake Works at a bridal show at the Smithville Inn. Lucky for us, The Bake Works was contracted with our venue (Smithville Inn) and the price was included in our wedding package. We met with event specialist for our cake tasting around 9am and had cake for breakfast - and everything we tasted was amazing. It was really hard to choose. We decided on a small two tier cake and then cupcakes for our guests. The cupcakes were HUGE and our guests were thrilled that they got to choose their cupcake. Our cake was exactly as we had discussed and I was slightly sad that we were going to cut into this beautiful cake. But as soon as I ate my first bite I was no longer sad and devoured it.

From the start, we were highly impressed with the quality of the cakes produced by The Bake Works. They were thoroughly informative when explaining each and every type of cake we sampled, and none was disappointing. The real surprise came the day of our wedding, when we were able to see the finished product first-hand. Our cake was incredible – the details were amazing and the quality of the cake was as close to perfect as can be. We practically ate all of the cake during our tasting and everyone raved about the desserts the day of the wedding. My only regret is not making sure that I got to the dessert display to try each piece! I only got to taste the few items left over the next day so I can imagine how they tasted the night of our wedding! Have your venue set some aside for you or make sure they bring you over to the table to get some dessert! I wish I had!

While we didn't choose the Bake Works (they were included in our package at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor), I'm very glad that's who they use. The cakes they make are delicious. Like seriously good as far as wedding cakes go. We wound up doing a 1 tier/personal cake for my husband and I, and cupcakes for the rest. Delish. Amanda was pleasant to work with-nice and direct, and it seems they'll do just about anything you want.

We don't live near Cape May, where our wedding was, and due to some scheduling conflict we realized we were not able to do a proper cake tasting. However, the Bake Works was so accommodating and packed us to go boxes of SO many tasting slices of their different flavor combinations! We loved it, the cake was beautiful, and even more importantly for me, the cake the day of was even more delicious than the tasting slices! There were no leftovers :)

This vendor already worked with our venue, The Smithville Inn. We wanted to go a little above and beyond the basic cake to have a cake themed to be a birch bark tree to compliment our fall theming. The cake tasting was an easy process and they took care of everything from there on out. The cake was more beautiful than we ever could have imagined and every one of our guests were raving about how it was the prettiest and best TASTING wedding cake they'd ever had! I also had them make a cake for my husband as a surprise groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner and it was perfect.

I have to start this review saying I don't like cake. I went to the first meeting with them and even told them that, then I tried a bite. The cake was absolutely amazing! We decided to go with a smaller cake for display and a sheet cake for extra slices. They really out did themselves and it was even more amazing then I thought it would be. Bake works took the time to carefully plan and go over options with us. We tasted many delicious cakes and had a hard time deciding! Everyone at the wedding loved our cake and it was almost all eaten! We got to design our cake exactly as we dreamed and the prices were great!

The Bake Works worked with our venue (Bonnet Island Estate), so a basic cake was included. Due to planning from afar, we were unable to have a tasting, but Amanada was great to work with and had advised us of the most popular flavors when we were trying to decide. We bounced back e-mails of pictures of cakes they had previously made, and images from pinterest that I liked. We had decided on a simple buttercream cake with lines around the edges and dots on each layer. I didn't see the cake till the day of in our reception room, but it was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Simple, classic and beautiful. The first time we tasted it was when we cut the cake but it was delicious (all of our guests raved about it as well!) We are looking forward to thawing out the top layer on our one year and enjoying the cake again!

The Bake Works did our wedding cake and a grooms cake. We had a fantastic experience with Amanda from The Bake Works! She is professional, friendly, and very accommodating! We met and discussed various cake and icing flavor options, and she was able to take my visions for the wedding cake and bring them to life! She will email back and forth with you as many times as it takes to get he details right. The cake looked stunning, but most importantly it tasted fantastic! Even our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was! I also had a grooms cake made for the rehearsal dinner which was a BIG hit! Amanda made us a square Jeep cake for my groom complete with a grill, Jeep logo, and wedding date license plate, it was fantastic! I HIGHLY recommend this vendor, you will not be disappointed!

The Bake Works is amazing! I have used them for birthdays and just as my everyday bakery, but they really made our wedding cake so special! Not only was it beautiful and unique, but people are still raving about how amazing our cupcake cake was! They were amazing to work with and affordable for how gorgeous their work is! They built our cake exactly how we envisioned it and it was so tasty. Often a wedding cake looks beautiful, but doesn't taste as good as it looks...not the case with Bake Works. They rock and thank you so much for making our wedding cake so unique and special!

You think of most wedding cakes as being pretty but don't taste very good. Not only was my cake gorgeous, but their cake flavors and fillings are out of this world! Seriously!

Wow! What an absolutely delicious and beautiful cake The Bake Works made for my wedding! Not only was the cake so delicious and so beautiful, but the staff at The Bake Works was great and helpful and made my vision come to life. I ordered two tiers in carrot cake and two tiers in almond cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling - and my guests STILL cannot stop raving about how delicious it was! And my wedding was one month ago! Really, it was the best "wedding cake" that I have ever eaten, and many of my guests have said that, as well. I HIGHLY recommend The Bake Works!

Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious. They had no problems with completely customizing our design and we had two totally different flavors as well! They also made a groom's cake for my husband which was absolutely perfect. Definitely recommend!

Not only was my wedding cake absolutely beautiful, it was tasty too! It was exactly what I envisioned! I received many compliments on the cake! My husband and I were having a fairly big wedding and didn't have a huge budget to spend on the wedding cake. We had decided to do a smaller 2 tiered cake for display and the traditional cake cutting, and then have sheet cakes to be cut and served to the guests. We originally met with The Cake Studio of Ocean City - his cakes are to die for, but he kept pressuring us into larger, grander (aka more expensive) cakes and it wasn't what we wanted. Then we happened upon Amanda and The Bake Works and are sooo glad we went with them. They gave us what we wanted, which also allowed us to do multiple cake flavors (we ended up with 3 different combos overall). And their cake was so delicious. One of my only regrets from my wedding is that I didn't get to eat more cake!

I decided to go with the cake pops!! The cake pops came in all different flavors and out of 100 - NONE were left!!! We also enjoyed the mini dessert display! Absolutely everything we order was delicious for our wedding. The Groom & I shared a small cannoli wedding cake which was by far the best cannoli cake I have ever had!! Thanks again for making our desserts for our wedding!!!

The Bakeworks staff was very helpful in designing our wedding cake. They had plenty of variety to choose from at the taste testing and were up front with their pricing and add-ons. We were very satisfied with the appearance and taste of the cake!

Our wedding cake was absolutely fabulous and delicious! The entire team at the Bake Works was open to our ideas, and what they provided was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. We had a spinning tire grooms cake kicking up mud on my beautiful 3-tier wedding cake and the crowd loved it! They stuck to our budget and delivered an amazing cake. The Bake Works girls were definitely the best choice and I would recommend them to anyone!
