Tad Craig - photo phenom!

I had sent out inquiries to several photographers for our daughter's destination wedding. Tad answered immediately with a call and text samples of his work. He was meticulous in setting up quality shots and putting subjects, including the bride and groom at natural ease. He is a natural with people and getting the best out of them. In addition to his beautiful work, he will send you LOTS of preview shots very quickly (which are amazing!). I can't say enough great things to say about Tad, his professionalism, style and photographic eye. He is outstanding and a wonderful person.

Above and Beyond - The Best Photographer We Could Have Asked For

We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our wedding day! Tad was amazing throughout the whole process and continued to work closely with us even when we had issues with our initial wedding coordinator. What I love most about our photos, is that he was able to capture natural emotions and fun moments throughout the day where we don’t look posed. Tad also sent us a few photos the day after our wedding, just so we didn’t have to wait to see them. He truly went above and beyond and we are so grateful that we chose him to capture our special day. We can’t recommend him highly enough!

Absolute Best on Maui!

I can't recommend Tad Craig highly enough for your wedding or special event. He recently photographed my goddaughter's wedding on Maui and we were truly blown away with not only the results, but working with Tad in general. From our initial inquiry, through booking right up to the day of the wedding and the special shoot afterwards, everything was simply 5 star. In addition to bringing his incredible talent to the table, Tad is simply amazing to work with - highly professional and very responsive. And his pictures are of course beautiful - everything you want when trying to capture one of the most important days of your life. Don't hesitate - he's the right photographer!

Wonderful experience!! Beautiful pictures!!

Tad has taken photographs for both of our daughters weddings and our 25th anniversary. We can't say enough good things about him. He's great to work with, and he takes the most beautiful photos! He was the photographer for our daughter's January wedding this year. He was very professional, fun to work with, and he's so creative! This photo package included a honeymoon adventure session that was fantastic! There are so many amazing pictures from the wedding day and the honeymoon, it's almost impossible to choose between them. We're so grateful he did such a terrific job capturing this special time for our daughter and her new husband.

Ceremony in the rain!

Tad was great! Our wedding was a bit of a challenge in that it rained/showered thru the outdoor ceremony and reception. He worked thru it while protecting his gear and took great shots!

Great poctures

We had pictures done for our 40th anniversary and they were great. Since our son lives in Maui with his family, Tad also took some pictures of them that were great fun! Would definitely recommend him.

Amazing Experience!

While on vacation in Hawaii my boyfriend asked me to marry him. I immediately said yes and wanted to find a professional photographer to capture this wonderful time. We were staying at the Four Seasons Maui and asked the concierge for a recommendation. They recommended Tad Craig Photography. We met with him shortly after that and had an amazing experience! He chose a beautiful beach to shoot at during sunset. He was kind, efficient, and very professional. He has a great sense of humor and seemed to truly love photography. His portfolio shows just how truly talented he is. I would highly recommend him and will use him again in the future.

Unbelievable backdrop for our family vacation photos

Tad was recommended to us by a personal acquaintance who had him photograph her wedding as well as another family event so we felt choosing Tad was a sure thing. And he delivered. He suggested the most amazing location on Maui (Makena Cove) which we would have never known about. Our family pictures are stunning and we will cherish them and our vacation memories forever. Fantastic experience

We could not have had a better experience with our photographer! Tad takes beyond beautiful pictures and is very easy going. We felt comfortable with him right away. He helped us so much both with taking the pictures and helping us out with downloading them. We both would highly recommend him for any event. Great Photographer, but even a better person!

Tad was our photographer for our special day! He was recommended by our friends in San Jose, CA when we told them we were getting married in Maui. They too got married and Maui and had Tad as their photographer. I am so glad he was recommended to us because he was so nice and professional! He made me feel at ease and did such a great job capturing our special moments throughout the day. My absolute favorite pictures from Tad are his portraits with the beautiful scenery! If it wasn't for my husband getting sick from his sun burn, we would have got into out get ups again after the wedding to take more picture on the beach and his famous picture on the rocks with beautiful sunsets! Those picture of his are breath taking and speak to me and give me all the feels! All in all, Tad and his assistant Marie Claude were great, and we would highly recommend them. Also, the process of booking Tad and his online payment system made things so much easier!

We love Tad!

When searching for a photographer for our honeymoon shoot, it was quite overwhelming with all the options. But when we saw Tad’s photos we knew we had to book him! We counted down the days to our shoot and as it got closer, rain from a hurricane was being forecasted. Tad was so flexible with us and made the effort to pick the best locations around the island to avoid the rain. We didn’t see a single drop of rain and our photos came out so beautiful, I can’t even believe it’s us in them! Not only are the photos professional, but Tad himself is as well. He is a very easygoing guy and he genuinely wants to capture the most beautiful moments! He is definitely passionate about what he does and it shows in his work. We hope to return to Maui as our family grows and continue our relationship with Tad with more photo shoots! We would 1000000% recommend Tad!

Exceptional photographer to work with - Tad Craig!

My (now) wife and I traveled from Calgary, Alberta for a destination wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Maui and from the get go, Tad was a pleasure to work with. When searching for a photographer, we had a few poses that we really wanted to capture and when we found Tad on Instagram, we were blown away by his portfolio. We quickly discovered that he checked all the boxes that we were looking for. What further impressed me was when we contacted him, he was quick to schedule a meeting to get a feel for what we were looking for, which turned into a Facetime call. I felt this helped build the trust that we were seeking in capturing this special day, especially when organizing everything remotely. On the day of the wedding, Tad did an exceptional job in maximizing the time we had with him while keeping everyone calm, comfortable, and focused. Thank you, Tad! Magic Maui Moments

We chose Tad before we chose our venue - we did the research and just knew he was the one. We chose him for three reasons: 1. He understands composition, light, and color 2. His portfolio is stunning, and 3. When we talked to him, we quickly realized he was a good person and we felt at ease, which we figured would translate in our photos. When we finally met him on the day of our wedding, we were so happy that we chose him. His joy is contagious, and he made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera! Our wedding was the day before Hurricane Lane was supposed to make landfall and we weren’t sure what the day was going to look like. To our delight, we were in a pocket of good weather. Tad was a calming force for the day and kept an eye on the weather while being flexible, fast, efficient so that we could maximize outside photos. We were certain we wouldn’t get a sunset, but then something magical happened - the clouds held off and we got the most brilliant fiery sunset! It was magic! When we received our photos, we were so thrilled with the quality of the composition and his ability to capture the most wonderful moments in ways that truly captured our personalities. If you’re trying to decide on a photographer, look no further. Tad’s your guy.

Hands down the best photographer!! If we could give higher than 5 stars we would!!! We knew the moment we spoke with Tad that we wanted him as our photographer. He was more than just a photographer. Tad helped us select our amazing officiant, hair and make-up, flowers and beach ceremony location!! When you meet Tad in person you feel as though you have known him for years! Magical Aloha

Tad hands down is the best photographer I have worked with. He made sure to keep it fun but yet took charge when it came time to capturing every precious moment of our wedding day. Wonderful Experience!!!

Tad was absolutely fantastic to work with, and I knew from the first time we spoke on the phone he was the right photographer for us. He was helpful, kind, funny, and just overall very personable. My husband and I traveled from Ohio to Maui for our destination wedding. It was just the two of us, so photography was vitally important to us, to capture our special day so we could share it with our family and friends back home. Tad went above and beyond in every way possible. He makes himself available to chat via phone to address any questions or concerns you may have - before, during our trip, and even afterwards as I’m trying to work through the options of our photos (I can’t even choose because they are just all so good!). He even helped provide hair and makeup, minister, and florist recommendations! The day of our wedding was a flurry of emotions - we got married the day “hurricane” Olivia hit Maui! Waking up in the morning, and never before having experienced a hurricane, or tropical storm, needless to say we were in a bit of a panic how our perfectly planned day was no more. But Tad got us through, with his sunny disposition, offering faith, kindness, flexibility and the ability to reschedule if needed. We decided to stick with our original date, and it turned out absolutely perfect. We had sneak peek photos within a day or two of the ceremony, and the full package was received in a very timely manner. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, or a better photographer to capture those moments for us. Tad is very talented and has such an eye for Maui’s beauty. You simply can’t go wrong with him as your photographer!!

Outgoing and open about our ideas.

Tad was great, he was professional, kind, caring and didn’t shoot down any of our ideas when it came to pictures we really wanted, or a surprise gender reveal for one of my bridesmaids! Tad was so much fun to work with, and fit in well, and didn’t miss any moments, while also catching a few we never even knew happened!

Receiving the pictures was such an easy process, and very timely!

Tad was absolutely amazing and wonderful!! His talent and artistry cannot be compared to anyone or anything...he is the BEST photographer hands down in Hawaii!! His enthusiasm and love of his photography truly shows in the way he interacted with us and the finished product of our sessions with him. Tad took our wedding photos in Wailea, Maui in September 2016. He was very professional, had a great sense of humor, and was incredibly fun to work with. After our wedding, we had a reception back at home with our friends and family. We wanted some pictures to show everyone so Tad (while extremely busy editing other photos) quickly turned around a handful of pictures for our reception. My husband and I can't thank Tad enough for the amazing job he did with our wedding photos!! From the moment we found him and called him up we knew he was the photographer for us! So friendly and helpful in answering all our questions and great in recommending locations. It took us far too long to decide on a location and we should've just listened to Tad from the beginning because we ended up going with one of his top picks. Additionally, we were very fortunate that Tad was so flexible with us, we had a lot of trouble getting to Maui from Houston and ended up having to reschedule the whole wedding the night before! It was a nightmare but we were so lucky that Tad was available the next day for us. I should also mention that in along with our ceremony pics Tad went out of his way (and over our scheduled time) to get pics of us tucked back in the trees near the beach afterwards and with the car we rented for the day and those ended up being some of our most favorite pictures. Tad's prices were beyond fair and he got us a few sneak peek pics within just a few days of our ceremony and the rest of our pictures came as promised as well! We haven't stopped getting compliments on our pictures and know we'll enjoy the for the many years to come! Thank you so much Tad! Hopefully one day soon we’ll revisit Maui and get family pics with our newest addition! :)

Tad was absolutely amazing for this very special day. Renewing our vows on our 13th anniversary on the beach we were married on. We got married last August in Maui and had the wonderful pleasure of having Tad be our photographer. He was wonderful! We looked at several photographer's albums, and Tad seemed like an obvious choice. His pictures just seemed a bit better quality overall - better light. better color, better editing, better poses, better backgrounds. His pricing might be a bit higher than some competitors, but for the best photographer on the island, his work is a great bargain. Easy to work with, very professional, good communication, easy online pic selection. Can't go wrong using Tad Craig's talents.

John and I are from Arizona and when we started planning our wedding we got a little nervous because we were doing everything over the phone and not in person, so of course I was nervous about our vendors. Looking at Tad's work on his website did put me at ease but then finally meeting him and watching him work was another thing. We all had so much fun, he's very passionate about his work and the pictures turned out AMAZING!! We are very happy and so glad we got the chance to work with Tad. We Highly recommend him!!!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Tad! Having a destination wedding is definitely something I'd recommend but there has to be an element of trusting what you see online because odds are you can't meet anyone in person/fully test out who/what you are going to use. Tad has surpassed my expectations one hundred fold! From the moment he came into where I was getting ready, he was completely professional and personable. We were running behind (no shocker there) but he kept relaxed even though he needed us to get going. So far I have only seen teasers of the pics that he has taken, but I can remember when he took most of them because I could see the effort and excitement he put into each shot. He truly captures moments and helps to feel natural instead of uptight planned poses (even the uptight planned poses that you need to take turn out fabulous). He has an incredible eye for photography and details and literally has taken the best photos I have ever seen.

I can't say enough positive things about Tad! I wish he was in Florida so he could capture every event in my life! I guess I will just have to keep going back to Hawaii for every milestone in my life.

If you find yourself in Hawaii, look up Tad. He is worth EVERY penny. (actually he should charge more)

Words to describe Tad Craig Photography: stunning, skillful, accommodating, friendly, enthusiastic, fun, THE BEST!

Tad Craig is not only a skilled, passionate photographer, but also a kind and thoughtful person to work with! We had planned a private sunset ceremony on the beach on May 19. Tad came prepared with a myriad of photo equipment to capture our special evening as well as a lively personality to make every aspect enjoyable. He had planned for the approaching storm and caught a few minutes of the sun rays breaking through the clouds. Thankfully, the storm went around us and Tad used the dark sky as a backdrop for picturesque beach photos. In addition, he expertly shot breathtaking sunset photos in the moments following the storm. The entire experience with Tad has been incredible and beyond our expectations. His photos were so impressive that we upgraded to purchasing all of them!

Tad Craig was such a pleasure to work with. I felt instantly comfortable with him and he made posing for pictures easy, because of his professional eye for beauty. CHOOSE TAD.
"You will not regret it." Some moments can't be duplicated and Tad will not let you down. I've been to Maui many times and I thought I knew what I wanted. However I went with Tads ideas and they were much better than mine.

Tad is also highly skilled. Not everyone with a 4K camera has the same talent. Tad is level 10 for sure.

Tad is also very fast at getting "the shot." An hour with him is like 2 hours with someone else.

I have 50,000 followers on IG and I've worked with a lot of photographers. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend TAD

I won't lie, the thought of having to smile for 3 hours on our wedding day made me very anxious and a little uneasy... I hate having my picture taken...... but let me tell you - Tad was simply amazing! He made us both feel very comfortable on the day, we had an absolute ball and it was so much fun! My little wedding on a beach in Maui was perfect... in lots of ways... but having Tad as our photographer was hands down the coolest and best planning decision I made. It is impossible to sit here and write in words how pleased I am with not only the images he captured, but also his focused determination and genuine enthusiasm. My husband and I had a blast... we got married on a beautiful beach, climbed on rocks, made fun of each other and soaked in every second of our special day in Maui, Tad orchestrated and captured every second of it beautifully!! If I can give any advice (other than just book Tad Craig) it would be to book him for just a little bit longer than you think you need, I promise that you will be thankful that you did. He is so incredibly creative, and he somehow finds a way to turn every single minute into an incredible new idea or photo location. We had a destination wedding at the Sheraton Maui, and our first time meeting Tad was an hour before the wedding. He was very professional and knew exactly how to frame all his shots. We requested documentary-style photos and Tad delivered! We had many shots of the bride, groom, and family members while getting ready all the way through to dinner. We chose 100 photos out of the 650 total and he sent us a USB stick with the data. Tad is a great photographer and we would recommend him to anyone getting married in Maui!

Tad Craig Photography was GREAT!!! Of course, on our big day, things were running slightly behind (NOT BECAUSE OF TAD ;) ). We were dead set on getting sunset/beach photos; due to things running behind, it was getting down to "crunch time" and the sun was setting........Tad was extremely quick/flexible with making sure we got our desired sunset/beach photos done! They look absolutely AMAZING.
Tad also provided us with "teasers" prior to my final photos being available, only 3 days after our wedding! He doesn't give you 5-7 "teaser" photos......he gives you with 50-60+! Our family/friends enjoyed looking through these with us and reminiscing.
Tad Craig did an exceptional job at capturing EVERY ounce of our special day and I wouldn't change it for the world!

My husband and I discovered Tad while doing some research for our wedding planning trip to Maui in July 2015. Wedding pictures were something very important to both my husband and I, being that it is on of the few things you keep from your wedding. There for we had allotted a decent portion of our wedding budget to photography. I was first blown away by the pictures I saw on Tad's website. But I set up a meeting to make sure he would be the right person to work with us on our wedding day. After meeting Tad we were so happy to find out that he is as awesome as his pictures! Tad was able to take what we were looking for (and not looking for) in wedding pictures and expand on it making them even better. We were super impressed with his ability to quickly organize everyone and get the "required" pictures taken so we could move along to the fun pictures. We had so much fun taking our wedding pictures. Tad was so creative and knew all the great spots to shoot for what are in our opinion the best wedding pictures of any we have ever seen! On top of everything else Tad was fun to work with. He has so much energy and seemed to enjoy taking pictures and have as much fun as we did! He was also very easy to get in contact with, which was great because we had a 6 hour time difference to deal with! A side note we were lucky enough to do a honeymoon shoot with Tad also (as part of our package). It was super fun to go to a completely different area of the island and do some completely different pictures and settings than we had for our wedding. I would highly recommend adding this on to your photo package if it is not included! If I didn't mention we absolutely LOVE our pictures, they are beyond amazing! I can not recommend Tad highly enough, if you want the best pictures you can find and an awesome photographer you can't go wrong with Tad Craig Photography! My husband and I decided to get married at The Westin Ka'anapali in Maui without seeing the property. We had already done some research on photographers and found Tad on our own and were so happy to know that he was a preferred vendor with The Westin and we were able to select his as our photographer. Tad had great knowledge of all the sweet spots for pictures around the property and hustled to get the best shots before we lost daylight. I was blown away to see that he captured my new husbands face, as well as me walking down the aisle, as well as a FULL shot of all my guest with me walking down the aisle. I didn't think that one photographer would be able to capture it all and HE DID. Tad had the best personality that meshed with ours to a "T". He also posted some pictures almost immediately after the wedding on social media that looked like they were out of a magazine! My husband and I already contacted Tad to take our photos when we return to Maui for our year anniversary. From start to finish, even being all the way in California, Tad it was extremely friendly and helpful in planning the process. Tad is the best!
I phone interviewed several photographers prior to my trip. I was looking for someone with personality, creativity, who would be fun, easy to work with, and comfortable to be around/ non-imposing. After calling multiple photographers on the island, I narrowed my list down to two photographers, and by the third conversation with those two: I new Tad was the man for the job.

When you call Tad's phone number you typically get Tad. If not Tad then you get his excellent receptionist, and then Tad will call you back within 24hrs. Both of them where great to work with and full of excellent ideas.

Tad helped tremendously in planning my surprise engagement at the Four Season Hotel. He helped in planning the timing of the event to coincide with the setting of the sun, which had to take place a key moment during the course of the dinner. He also offered up multiple lenses, one for distance shots so he could take photos discreetly from a distance so my fiancée would not catch on to what was about to happen. He then switched to a unique lens prior to greeting us at the table as the 'complementary house photo ambassador' after our appetizers. I knew I wanted him to greet us in a manor that made it appear that he was part of the Packaged Dinner Event. He knew the attire of the waiting staff and dressed in a similar fashion, and offered up the phrase 'Photo Ambassador' so that I could have it added on our menu after the second course. This unique lens allowed for really artistic photos with a slightly blurred background. Couple the lens with that with the unobtrusive 'Photo Ambassador', and wammy: we got some really great candid photos of my surprise engagement. -like I said, Tad is full of excellent ideas and tries hard to help you put together such a special event.

My husband and I were married in Maui this summer. We decided to elope and then have a reception back at home after. We worked with Leah of Island Wedding Memories to coordinate our day. Leah selected and coordinated all of our vendors for us and I was a little nervous having never met any of our vendors before the day of our wedding. Tad was far and above our expectations. We could not have found a better photographer ourselves. From the moment that we arrived at the ceremony site Tad immediately put us at ease. He was polite, professional and had a great sense of humor that was perfect on an emotional day. Tad was so high energy and was constantly looking for the perfect shot. He followed us back to our resort where we had a private dinner set up and although it was hot and humid he kept us going to get some great photos. The images that we got back are gorgeous and we are so happy to have those to remember our day. I would highly recommend Tad if you are looking for a photographer in Maui. We are so happy we got the chance to work with him!

Tad just shot our wedding at Merriman's in Kapalua, and he did a phenomenal job! He was so fun to work with and had great, fun ideas to try! My parents had worked with him a few years ago for their 25th anniversary, and they also had a great experience which is why we decided to book him for our wedding. I selected Tad Craig Photography as my vendor for my Vow Renewal Ceremony at the Hyatt Regency in Lahaina.
Tad's quality of service offered was exceptional. As a photographer, Tad has a unique way of capturing that special moment within his photos. Additionally, not only does he take shots that I would consider "expected", but he does a great job of capturing the overall "vibe" of the ceremony/event. He picks up "the little things" that add to the overall experience of seeing the moment through photos.
Tad was great to work with as far as knowing the property as well. He knew where and when to be for optimizing the photo opportunities throughout the day.
Aside from the actual photo shoot itself, Tad did a great job editing many of the top quality photos to enhance the overall photo package even more (he enhances colors, adds effects, removes unwanted background blemishes, edits unnecessary people from the background,etc).
Although I'm writing this review on behalf of myself, I can assure you that my wife agrees with everything I've said.
Finally, Tad's professionalism, value and flexibility are also worth mentioning. He's willing to do whatever it takes to ensure your day is well represented in photos. Ultimately you get much more than you pay for. That being said, I highly recommend Tad Craig Photography.

While my fiancee and I were in Maui, we decided we needed to have our engagement photos taken! (Despite our plans to be married in Lake Tahoe, CA.) Our friends had used Tad Craig Photography at their wedding in Maui a few years prior (and their photos were beautiful) and, after poking around, we decided to go with Tad Craig Photography. Tad was a true professional, experienced and efficient. Tad arrived to the scheduled photo shoot site early and scoped it out only to decide it would not work. He immediately diverted us to the perfect spot just a few beaches down the road. Our photos turned out beautifully and he provided just the right amount of direction. I remember this at our friend's wedding as well, Tad was great at directing people in order to get the great shots for the bride and groom. I would recommend Tad's services 100%!

Tad was AMAZING! His eye for capturing our love couldn't be better! We are both so happy with his service, passion, and talent. He knows the venues well and the island! I definitely recommend Tad.

Tad is an AMAZING photographer and FUN to work with. I cannot recommend him highly enough. From our first phone call with him, we knew we wanted him to capture our wedding. He was easy to talk to and got to know us. He also told us about himself which made working with him very comfortable and easy.

During the wedding he was very professional and interacted with our guests very easily and made everyone feel comfortable. He gave suggestions to but did not pose us. He was very familiar with our location and knew the perfect spots to photograph. He made it exciting and fun.

We also met him the following day for a "trash the dress" session. By that time it seemed like more we were meeting a friend. He took us to different locations which we would never had found on our own.

The day after our wedding we had already received a collage of pictures that are BEAUTIFUL!! I cannot get over how he captured the setting almost better than when were were actually there.

Again, I cannot recommend him highly enough. You will not be disappointed if you work with Tad. I also had some interaction via email with his assistant, Marie, and she was extremely helpful.

I would rehire this photographer again. He is very professional, nice and his photos are amazing. The shots he caught of our wedding were incredible. He took some pictures that I really loved.

My husband and I had a small wedding at the Westin in Maui on 8/26/14. Pictures and great photography were really important to us, as we traveled hundreds of miles from Chicago for our special day. I was really nervous the morning of our wedding, worrying about every detail. When Tad showed up, his energy was extremely addictive and you can sense his passion for photography from miles away. All my worries quickly vanished the minute he started doing his magic. You can tell that he really loves his job and he was very knowledgeable. We are really pleased with our decision to choose Tad! We cannot wait to see the rest of our photos.

Tad and Marie-Claude were absolutely fabulous:-) The photos are all beautiful!! They managed to get great photos of every single part of our celebration and special day. They were tremendously helpful from the wedding day, actually, before the wedding day, until long after:-) They were especially supportive in assisting us with the selection process for our wedding album:-) On our wedding day, they were so very helpful and knowledgeable and they took so many wonderful photos for us. We just thought Tad Craig Photography was the best and would highly recommend them to any couple planning their big day:-)!

Our experience on our wedding day with Tad was fantastic.

Not only was he able to capture beautiful and creative photos, but he was able to do in a very unobtrusive way. He made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and at ease, and took the time to make sure we have everything captured on the day.

Equally as important, the photos were available online very promptly after our wedding to be able to review and share with friends.

Overall, we couldn't be happier and would recommend Tad in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a photographer in Maui.

As the Mother-of-the-Bride, I absolutely love Tad Craig. He is warm, kind, enthusiastic, professional, extremely talented, and bursting with a "spirit of Aloha". His photography is gorgeous, and he has an incredible ability to capture the joy of the moment. When we look at the photographs of our daughter and son-in-law's wedding, it takes us right back to the happiness and magic of that beautiful day. Our first meeting with Tad came when he photographed the kid's engagement ~ a surprise proposal on the beach. After working with Tad and seeing the beautiful engagement photos, we knew he also had to do the wedding. He is very easy to work with, available to answer questions, and just plain wonderful! What more can I say?

Tad and his assistant Marie were such a pleasure to work with! Tad spent the time to get to know me and find out what was important to me on my big day! Tad is the best. I cared about two things for my wedding: the people and the photos. Tad blew us out of the water with the photos - his shots are beautiful, artistic, and creative. We unfortunately had rain on our wedding day, and Tad turned that into a blessing by giving us a ton of amazing reflection shots off of puddles. He was super dedicated to capturing the best moments from our day - at one point he even laid down on the wet dance floor to get a shot of all of our guests hovering over him. Needless to say the photo turned out amazing and he didn't even complain about having mud on his back! We're so glad we found Tad for our big day - our guests are from far and wide were complimenting him throughout the day as well! Whenever we have another momentous occasion in Maui, we'll re-hire Tad in a heartbeat! His assistant, Marie-Claude was awesome too - both of them were just super nice and easy to work with... and above all, amazing photographers

We had the most wonderful day and Tad was a big part of it. From the moment I met him he was warm,courteous, friendly and most of all FUN! We had a very limited amount of time with Tad but I can say he made it so easy and he took such beautiful shots- he made us look good but not cheesy. My family and friends still talk about this amazing "Maui photographer" to this day.

I work within the wedding business back at home and I only wish there were more photographers like him. I couldn't say enough awesome things about the service and his photographs just show you his passion and skill- AMAZING!

From when we first met Tad in the planning stages of our wedding, up to the actual wedding day, he was amazing to work with, and very passionate about his work. Not only is he an exceptional photographer, he also offers a lot of advice in planning and getting through your wedding day. On the day of the wedding, he was early, courteous, professional to everyone, and liked by all. We saw him as a guest and not just our wedding photographer. He really likes to get to know his subjects, and the theme of their day really well. Tad has an amazing eye, and is able to capture beautiful candid shots incredibly well, and creates the most natural and spontaneous moments of your special day. We would highly recommend Tad to anyone, and will definitely use him again in the future!!

If you're like me, you spend hours looking at vendors and comparing. And regardless of having the "Best of" for three years and a whole slew of 5-Star recommendations, if you're like me you're still going to do that. Stop right here. Spend your time on other things and be rest-assured that Tad will capture your day in all the beauty and splendor you expect.

We met him the day of our wedding (9-9-13), right on time, and immediately he started his artistry in film. He is extremely skillful in getting the perfect pose with the perfect lighting, and creating it all with an ease of professionalism. I had a very simple wedding with a minister, a guitarist, and Tad. We wanted an intimate setting, and our pictures encapsulate that from beginning to end. We started off with a beautiful picture of us leaning against a tree, and finished with a kiss-on-the-cheek picture with the moon in the background! In between are 323 even more beautiful shots of our vow exchange, ring exchange, kiss, and first dance right on the beach! I feel I can say with all confidence that these pictures are absolutely timeless<3

I'm not a photographer, but it was easy to see that he uses the best equipment for location shooting. Afterward he professionally photoshopped the pictures, sent them to us within a couple weeks in a deluxe CD holder, and we have ownership of the hi-resolution images.

(I loved my simple, intimate, Maui wedding. Thank you, Tad, for capturing it so beautifully! My husband says we'll be back for our anniversary, so it's definitely a hui ho!!)

I cannot express how wonderful it was to work with Tad. This being a destination wedding we had not the pleasure of meeting him until the moment we arrived for the wedding. It was as if we had met up with a old friend.

Instantly, his personality as both a photographer and human being bubbled to the surface. He made me feel at ease and beautiful. He was so creative and concerned with getting the style or sort of photo's that we were interested in having shot of our wedding and our family. Nothing cookie cutter about Tad Craig, Unique, Fun and Professional.

We have just seen the teaser photos which clearly captured the wedding we had waiting a lifetime for. The wedding of childhood friends. We can hardly wait to see them all!

Tad's work speaks for itself! When my now husband and I were planning our destination wedding in Maui, I started researching Photographers before I had a coordinator and a date. Most of our family and friends were not going to be able to travel and I wanted "The Best Photographer." After all your wedding day is the most important day of your life. I followed Tad on Facebook and other social network sites for at least a year. I was always amazed at how he captured true images and I could see the photos as if I was there. When we finally set a date and contacted our coordinator, Kara with "Your Aloha Wedding, who is also amazing" I asked her if she worked with Tad and told her that's who I wanted to hire to photograph my wedding. I would show my husbands Tad's work and bragged as if I knew him personally! My coordinator contacted him for availability and he was available! It was the most exciting day of my life.

The day of our wedding Tad was capturing photos immediately. My ceremony had to be held at a different site due to beach conditions at my original location and it was difficult for my guest and I to get to the beach. Tad was very professional, nice and fun to work with. Once the ceremony was over, he was kind enough to take us back to our original location which was accessible and safe for the brave at heart and got some excellent photos and sunset shots. Tad is very precise, detailed and knows how to capture every moment. He went above & beyond to get the best shots possible without us realizing the magnitude of his effort while we were in the moment. We look at our sneak peak photos multiple times a day and are amazed by the pictures that he captured. All of our friends and family that have viewed our photos cannot believe they are real!!! He has blessed us with a lifetime of memories that we can share with others.

Planning a destination wedding can be a scary thing. You read reviews, interview people, create checklists and hope that things turn out perfectly. The wedding photographer is one of the most important people and I can say that Tad Craig did a wonderful job. He was easy to work with over the phone, he was organized and professional as he guided us through the best time for the ceremony and sunset pictures. On site, he was fun to work with and captured some of the most beautiful pictures. I would highly recommend him and would not hesitate to use him again in the future! Karen Cook

Aloha! We're repeat clients & have enjoyed working with Tad Craig each time. There are endless photographers on Maui it seems & it is a daunting task to find a really good one. Previous to finding Tad Craig, I surfed the web a lot and viewed many portfolios..... which many seemed very cheesy & not professional (bad editing job). When someone else had referred me to Tad's site, I was super happy to see his work, which was quality. Tad does a fantastic job all around. I appreciate his eye for detail, his artistic view, fresh ideas, and beautiful editing job. He is warm, personable, & professional. He & Marie C. both are prompt about returning phone calls and easy to work with. Tad took our 10th year wedding anniversary photos a few years back & we were very pleased with the results. Just yesterday, our family of 6 returned from another visit on Maui. This time, we took all 4 kids with us (ages 3-10). Our kids did great with him during our family session. He captured each of our children's personality well & we all had a lot of fun. He picked out a great spot for us in Lahaina (Kapalua was rainy, but he had other great spots in mind), which was a beautiful location. He's quick about sharing sneak previews on his blog & facebook. We appreciated being able to see photos on line the day after our shoot. Yes, the cost of a photo session is much higher than back home, but so is everything else on Maui. I'd say it's a reasonable price. :) I would recommend Tad Craig to anyone and everyone. We look forward to our next visit on Maui & hope to work with him again. Aloha & God's blessings! Alice

Tad was absolutely fantastic. The quality of his work is FIRST CLASS (with a plus) and he was very personable to work with. My only criticism would be: I wish he had worn something a tad bit more formal. At any rate, we loved his work and I reckon we'll have to do another photo shoot with Tad whenever we have kids!
