We LOVED our wedding at Stone Mountian Lodge!!! After many visits and tours of other facilities, Stone Mountain was the best overall value and the setting was what we wanted. You get the entire grounds for the whole day and your guests can stay on site. The ceremony site also makes a great area for whiffel ball or other yard games. I would recomend getting ready (at least the bride) in one of the cabins though since there is no restroom in the bridal tent. Although the bridal tent was the perfect place to stage out of right before the ceremony. There is no cell service on site though, but I LOVED that!!!!! The staff was great, everything went smooth, and it was just a wonderful experience!

The venue at Stone Mountain Lodge was exceptional! We were thrilled at how beautiful the location was. Almost all of our guests were visiting from out of town and it worked out perfectly to have everyone stay there the wedding night with the exclusivity package. The staff, especially Gabbi, did a great job taking care of our needs and making our wedding day flow smoothly. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend!

We had an amazing time at Stone Mountain last weekend for our wedding. We rented out all of the cabins for our family who all live out of town and it was the prefect place for them to relax and get to know each other over the weekend. I had an outdoor yoga class in the garden area the morning of the wedding. The ceremony and reception were a blast. The staff at Stone Mountain were very helpful and professional and accommodated our needs. All of our guests had such a great time! The only hang up (which is out of their control) is cell phone reception. However, there are landlines in each of the rooms!! Thank you for making our wedding weekend one to remember!

This was a beautiful venue, and grounds were beautifully groomed. Bridal tent was a welcome place to get ready for the Bride and women to stay cool and get fussed over. The staff could not have been better, they were available and ready to help our every need. We had some cell phone signal issues, but the office staff, was always helpful with use of the land line. Mosquitoes were out in force, was an evening ceremony.

I fell in the love with Stone Mountain Lodge after my first visit and after my wedding I love it more. The venue was perfect for the style of wedding my husband and I wanted and for our personalities. I loved the fact that I could have it all day and not have to be rushed to get in and get out. The staff was friendly and flexible. Gabbi did a great job with making sure everything was just the way I wanted it. I have heard some of my guests say it was the best wedding they have been to and have heard only positive comments from friends and families. I highly recommend Stone Mountain Lodge!!!!

I couldn't have been more thrilled with Stone Mountain Lodge. I just read some past comments and I'd like to reassure others that this venue is amazing!! I was scheduled to get married 2 years ago. However, a family circumstance left us postponing our wedding. When I booked the venue, it was under the old management. It was great but has significantly improved. Gabbi Polen, the events coordinator, is phenomenal and works hard to make everyone feel accommodated and happy. I would get married here again without hesitations. I also would recommend this venue to close friends knowing my experience was top notch!!

Please don't look at the 'overall' rating for Stone Mountain Lodge and be discouraged. I can assure you that since their management change things have gotten much much better. As the other couples who have had recent weddings have said, this place is second to none in venues for your outdoor wedding needs. It is a picturesque location with all the amenities of a large expensive venue, with the simplicity of a 'mom and pop' kind of place. We LOVED the fact that their isn't cell phone service on property as people were really into the wedding rather than giving their thumbs a workout all afternoon. Our guests loved the location, kids had a blast, and it was nice to breath in the clean mountain air on our special day. Gabi and her staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.

My husband and I had a fabulous experience with the staff at Stone Mountain Lodge when we had our wedding there a couple of weeks ago. The staff were very cordial and responsive to the needs of all the different personalities that attended our wedding. The list of vendors that we used from there recommendations were wonderful and we could not have asked for better. There were no hidden costs and they really allowed us to have to have the wedding we truly wanted. I would highly recommend others to book with stone mountain for events, the price is reasonable and the people are great!! They even let us have our dogs in the wedding!!! =) Thanks to everyone at Stone Mountain Lodge, especially Gabbi!!

my guest and family felt rushed during the reception, although the vendor was less expensive then others we felt we were over charged since we booked a year in advance and did our own food and music. we also rented two cabins for the night before. on a good note they offer a night stay on your one year anniversary.

My now husband and I had just moved to colorado from illinois and we had moved our wedding around so much we just wanted to get married and start our new life together.
Needless to day after moving more than 1000 miles and starting a new job, we were on a serious wedding budget. I found Stone Mountain Lodge on the internet and looked at the website. I was blown away by the services provided for the cost! I showed my partner and he was sold too, it was what we wanted and affordable. I called Holly the next day and it was so easy to reserve the date. Holly was helpful and patient. We received a few phone calls prior to the big day checking on us, giving us the status of the site and even though it was still winter, they turned the fountain on for us! Holly was so awesome trying to keep me calm and let us use whatever we needed that we forgot! Everone stayed in a cabin after the wedding, the cabins were affordable, clean and super fun. Even if we had lots of money and time to plan our wedding, we would still have it at Stone Mountain Lodge! We are now expecting and cant wait to go back to celebrate our new addition and every anniversary!!

This is a beautiful facility, it's in a great place and the people in the office are very nice. I would have a wedding here again, but I would make darn sure that I had assurances in writing about the maintenince of the facility and EXPECIALLY there would be no showings during the time I rented the facility.
Holly advised us to rent the whole place the night before the wedding, to make sure we would have the place all to ourselves and so that we could be sure to have the rehersal and dinner there. She said no one else will be here if you rent the whole property for two days.She then had 3 diffrent groups touring the facility while our events were under way. People were walking around waiting to meet her during the rehersal and dinner. They were in the tent with our stuff on the day of the wedding. It absolutly drove me nuts trying to figure out who belonged and who didn't. The tent wasn't very clean,because of all the people trooping through there. When asked Holly replied, that she didn't rent any of the cabins to others, (we had all of them) but she didn't say anything about showing people around. Then Holly got the config for the tables wrong and then she threw it back on me, when she could of just said lets add two more tables. She always had an answer, but it was pretty much spliting hairs and it wasn't what was implied. So, when we got our deposit back it wasn't even close to what she had said earlier and she wouldn't e-mail me an invoice. I called the lodge and received a message stating that I would get an invoice with the refund check for the deposit. Still waiting! So, it's a lovely facility, we had a beautiful wedding, and the front desk people were pleasant. The single thing that would have allowed everything to flow nicely and saved a lot of aginst would have been not to have people meet at the venue to view it for future rentals while an event is going on. And, they came and they stayed, no quick in or out here. Plus there was alot of drama about who paid for their rooms, with cards being charged for too many rooms, and not having records of people who did pay. I have tried to be completely fair about this review and have not noted other small detractions.

The location was very pretty. Communication with the staff was terrible. There were a lot of things that our contract with them stated that they changed. We were able to start setting up at 9:00 am on our wedding day, and that we would have until midnight that day to clean up. We arrived at 9:00 am to find the caterers from the previous days wedding starting their clean up, which delayed us an hour and 15 minutes. The caterers from the previous days wedding were told they could not start the clean up until 9:00 am. Our wedding was delayed at least 1 hour because of the delayed starting. And then, at 4:30, the staff at the lodge forced us out. They said we had to be out by 5:15 even though our contract stated we had until midnight. Needless to say, I was not a happy bride with them. Other problems that We had with them are: While we were having our reception in the reception tent, the staff people were showing another couple the property. The package that we paid for was to be an exclusive package where there would not be other people in the area while we were celebrating. Then, my boss whom was one of my guests, told me that when he got there, he went to park his car in the parking lot, and the Stone Mountain Lodge staff told him he could not park there, that he had to park in the street. They had told us previously that our guests could park anywhere. I am afraid of other things that may have happened that my other guests did not mention to me... PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE... DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING at this location. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. They make you feel very unwelcome and they really rush you to try to get you out of there, even though your contract will say you have until midnight. I felt so rushed, that there were things that we did not get to do that we had planned on doing for our wedding. We barely even got enough time to eat our food and dance our dances. There was not any time for others to dance because all of the songs danced were the traditional First dance, Father/Daughter Dance etc. A few other things: The "heater" in the Bridal Tent did not work and it was a chilly morning. The restrooms are on the opposite side from the Bridal Tent, so, if the Bride is getting ready, and needs to go you will have to either let your guests see you before hand, or hold it until after the wedding ceremony like I did.

We have very satisfied couples but sometimes someone not involved in the contract, conversations, walk-through and contract addenda misunderstands what has been agreed to. Here are our responses to this review - -They had scheduled to end around 7pm(early brunch wedding, started at noon), we require a 24 hour notice of any changes on the contract. 10 minutes before the end time, the Brides aunt asks to keep it going until 11pm, our staff showed her the contract. I also always make sure to inform them of the scheduled time and how changes must be made at the Final Walk Through 2 weeks before the event. We STILL allowed them to stay an HOUR past the scheduled time. Clean up was still an hour after that. -By parking on the street they meant the outside of the fence where we park guests for almost every wedding of this size -We were having issues with the heater in the bridal tent that week.... It got fixed immediately after this event. -The wedding group does have exclusive use of the facility however, our staff may take 5 minutes during early set-up to show others what the event area looks like.
