David and Charlotte Stewart were wonderful. The prices were honest and fair.

We didn't do a lot of shopping around but a couple weeks before we went into Stewart's we went to a Jewelry Store that was going out of business. The prices were supposed to be bargains up to 50% off. At 50% off the prices were still so high we couldn't even afford their costume jewelry. The day we first visited We went into a store down the street first. The prices for what we wanted were much better than the first place we went to, but still about made my jaw drop.

We went to Stewart's and at first, I wasn't sure there would be enough selection as it's a small store. But when we sat down and looked over the rings, we were blown away! I found one I really, really loved. It was just exactly what I was looking for. It is a simple, but beautiful channel cut with 12 diamonds that total 1 carat set in yellow gold. The diamonds are beautiful, firey and alive. They're big enough to be seen, not just little chips.

My husband tried on a couple, but when he put on the one we bought, I knew it was his, from the moment it settled in place! It was perfect for him. It was white gold band with two colors of gold braid in the middle. Looks very nice on him.

We had Charlotte write the number of the ring on a business card and how much they were. I knew we had found our rings but we still wanted to be sure we were getting the best deal. So we went to another jewelry store a few miles away. She had some really cool designs but the diamonds were lackluster and dead looking. The prices were higher than Stewart's.

I told my husband that I wanted to go back and buy them. I knew we had found our rings, I loved the rings, really loved the store owners. He still wasn't convinced on price as both sets of parents were impressing on us the need to shop and bargain. So I called a couple other stores in the malls that his Mom recommended. I told him what it was we were looking for describing the rings we found at Stewarts. The things that were the closest to that were $400+ higher on my ring and about $98 higher on his. That finally convinced him.

So we went back and I knew the prices were good, he did too, but as both sets of parents said to bargain, we made a half-hearted effort. David said kindly but plainly that at today's gold and diamond prices he couldn't replace the rings we wanted for the price he was charging, so he couldn't come down. We explained why we were trying. They smiled and said yes, parents do want you to get the best bargain.

Charlotte mentioned something about their church, and I turned to my husband (to be at that time) and said, "See honey, I knew they were Christians." She asked me how I knew, I told her by they way they acted and treated us. Only recently around our 4 month anniversary when we took our rings in for a complimentary cleaning have I ever noticed Christian decorations that are up there. I totally knew just by the caring and loving way they treated us.

While we were there to buy our rings, a young military couple was in getting something done to a ring of theirs. When they looked at buying something else in the case David mentioned a military and veterans discount.

So we told both David and Charlotte that my husband is a veteran of the Army's 82 Airborne. They gave us a good discount and we bought the rings right away. He quoted me a price to have my classring sized as I was moving it from my wedding ring finger to my right hand. We left that with him to size and as I didn't have the money to pay for that right then, I agreed to pay for the sizing when I picked it up.

When I came back to pick it up, and I went to pay, they told us they miscalculated the discount and so I didn't owe for the sizing of the ring and even gave me cash back. I was so happy with the purchase in the first place I didn't check over the receipt and don't know that I would have caught it unless I was really looking for it. But as I felt the price was fair, I didn't think twice about it. But that was so nice that they were honest about that and took pains to bring it to my attention.

These are very nice, down to earth people who have been an absolute pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.

At Stewart's you will get unbeatable service. They are always there with a smile when you need them. He personally designed my wedding bands, and I get complements on my ring all the time. We still go in to see them and have our rings checked/cleaned...they know us by name everytime and our wedding was 7 years ago.
