Fun, Easy, Enjoyable

Minsky traveled to the Outer Banks to play for our guests during the cocktail hour at our wedding. Our guests raved about him! He made the cocktail hour have such great energy. I am so glad we had him as part of our wedding day!

I cannot say enough how Wonder Minsky was! He was an absolute pleasure to deal with! The price for ceremony music/cocktail hour gave me pause, but I will tell you it was worth every penny! He traveled a good distance and sounded amazing. I can’t imagine my daughters wedding on the beach WITHOUT that beautiful sound! In two words.....HIRE HIM!

We had Minsky come play for a Luau for our residents at our Assisted Living. He was GREAT!! My residents absolutely loved him! He came with such energy and a positive attitude! Our residents talked non-stop about this event for several days. We are thankful that he was available to make our event memorable.

From our first correspondence I knew that Minsky would not disappoint. He cared so much about the atmosphere that we wanted to create. The steel drums were perfect for our beach wedding and on the deck cocktail hour. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed what Minsky added to our day. Minsky created a memory that all of us will never forget. Minsky exceeded our expectations of fun and entertainment.

So great!! Minsky made our beach ceremony and reception music just as we had envisioned! The steel drums sounded amazing! Minsky made all the preparations stressfree and he is very professional and personable. We would highly recommend his services!

We found Minsky to be very, very professional. He was easy to work with, and his music is fabulous. The music added so much to the ambiance to our wedding dinner. When we planned the wedding, we had hoped to hold the wedding dinner outside, and thought that steel drums music would give a sort of 'Caribbean' flavor. The weather did not cooperate, and we had to move the dinner inside. I was worried that the music would be too loud or overpowering in a relatively small space, but Minsky was totally flexible, and the music was terrific -- and definitely not too loud. Minsky was very, very personable, and fun to work with. He knew just how to make it all work, seamlessly, which took more stress off of us! I would definitely recommend Minsky -- he makes the event very special!!!

Minsky was a delight to work with. He was enthusiastic, extremely professional, and just a wonderful addition to our event. He even let some of the kids play with the drum. The entire event, everybody kept commenting how happy and energetic he was. I would 100% recommend Minsky to anybody, and I would even consider doing another event just so he can attend and play for us again!

We absolutely loved having Minsky play at our wedding!! We had him provide the music for our ceremony on the beach as well as our cocktail hour in the reception hall at Jennette's Pier. A number of our guests mentioned how unique they thought it was and how much they enjoyed the music!

Minsky himself was great to work with. Highly responsive and extremely flexible. We couldn't have asked for a better vendor.

We highly recommend Minsky and his beautiful steel drum - it was the perfect complement to our beach wedding and really helped set the tone for a relaxing and fun reception!

Minsky was super friendly, great at communicating, and AMAZING at his job. Everyone loved him and it was a very unique touch to our wedding day. He and the photographer were my absolute favorite. Minsky was very easy to work with especially over emails! We loved that he sent us a video initially introducing himself! Nice added touch! Our guests loved him! After hearing Minsky play once, my daughter was sold and knew that she wanted him to play at her wedding. He played as the guests arrived as well as during the cocktail hour and everyone loved him. His music created an island vibe and his smile and personality were just an added bonus. Not only was his music amazing but he was a pleasure to deal with from the start. I highly recommend him if you are looking to add some flair, class, style and fun to your event. You will not be disappointed. All of the guests raved about what a nice touch he added and we could not be happier that we found this wonderfully talented and super nice guy who helped make our daughter's wedding day perfect!!

Book Minsky now! He is an amazing entertainer and my guests loved him!!! Several guests told us that we had the best wedding they had EVER been to and I owe that to our amazing vendors, especially Minsky, Minskey performed during our cocktail hour and was a huge hit! Minsky played the ceremony music for our wedding and it was wonderful! His rates were affordable and he was willing to travel from NC to WV just to play for a few hours! My guests who arrived early loved listening while waiting and the ceremony music was perfect! My only regret is that I didn't also have him play during the reception! My family is trying to think of other occasions to celebrate just to have him come back and play for us!

You can find NO BETTER entertainer than Minsky...!
On Oct 2nd, Minsky entertained our PRE-WEDDING guests for our daughters wedding...with INCREDIBLE Steel Drum Music....
His Steel Drum Sounds were better than being on the islands...
Incredible personality, incredibly talented, and overall GREAT guy...!
He showed up on time...stayed later than expected....
He charged an extremely fair price....
We were coming from Boston to Carolina Beach...for our daughters wedding...we were renting a house to have the Pre-Wedding reception....
Minsky drove 5 hours to get to the house and 5 hours to return to his home...
and never said anything about the drive until he was leaving....
I was impressed...! He is a HARD worker....!!!
I wish he were closer to Boston...I would use him again, and again, and again...
HIRE HIM...you wont be disappointed....!

the 5 stars accross the board isn't because I'm being nice. Minsky earned all of those. I unfortunately did get to enjoy his presents as much as I would have liked to. The ones that were able to enjoy him absolutely loved him. My 92 year old Grandmother "wants to hear him again".

I have already considered hireing hm for other things maybe as soon as a 1 year anniversary party.

He offered his play list and said we can 100% change it up. He was even happy to learn a new some just for us.

You really wont be disappointed with him. very easy to work with.

Thanks Again Minsky, you were apart of a very important and memorable event for me and my family.

Minksy was a true joy to work with! From the time that I initially met his via phone, I knew that there was a special connection. He was extremely easy to work with and very flexible regarding our time constraints and needs. For a bride that got married in South Carolina wanting a steel drum player close to home, Minsky was the perfect answer!! My choice was futher solidified with the personal touches that Minsky added throughout our planning process (sending us a personalized video to introduce himself). Our guests truly enjoyed his sweet tunes during the cocktail hour and dinner.

Our wedding day was certainly special and unique due to Minsky. We could not be more appreciative of his services!!

Minsky did such an amazing job for our wedding in the Outer Banks. Ceremony was relocated and delayed, but he stayed and fulfilled his commitment, no questions asked! The music was fantastic - he even learned new music specifically for our wedding!

We hired Minsky to play during the cocktail hour at our wedding ---- he was amazing! Our guests loved it and it was a fun unique twist to regular cocktail hour music. He was able to play a wide range of music for us which was also important. He was very easy to work with leading up to the wedding and always replied to emails in a timely matter. I would highly recommend him for your wedding day and or special event --- he's very talented on the steel drums and just an overall really nice guy! thank you again minsky!

Minsky is very professional. He responds to emails quickly, arrives early, and doesn't mind hanging around for a few minutes if things are a little hectic (which they always are the weekend of your wedding!) He is also very accommodating, last minute we asked him to come an hour earlier than initially agreed upon and he had no problem. We live two hours away, so it was a breath of fresh air knowing that he'd make it! Not only does his professionalism show in a business aspect, but he is a great musician. He created the right vibe for our rehearsal dinner, by playing fun music that everyone could enjoy. I would highly recommend him for your wedding needs!

Working with Minsky was wonderful! He responded quickly to emails and was very in tune with what we were looking for. Minsky provided a list of popular songs that he knows and even offered to learn new songs. His music at the ceremony and cocktail hour were fantastic. The guests loved it! Extremely polite and professional. Not to mention, talented! The steel drums where a surprise to our guests and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! My wife, myself, and my guests loved it. The highlight was when Minsky coordinated with our DJ to play some songs together during the transition into the reception. We heard "Happy" by Pharrell and a few other songs in a whole new way. It was brilliant! Thank you!

Minsky was one of the easiest parts of our wedding to plan and work with! He promptly emailed me back every time I emailed him. The day of the wedding he was completely independent when it came to getting to the venue, getting set up, and of course, playing amazing music. With that said, he was open to all suggestions and requests not only when it came to the music itself but also the locations he played (he moved from the beach to the yard for the cocktail hour) and when he played (he was happy to help us get set up for our first dance which he didn't play). He was wonderful interacting with everyone at the wedding, including the kids who he gave some steel drum lessons to. Overall worth every penny. Not to mention how beautiful the music was. He is truly an artist. Highly recommend for all weddings or beach parties. He is SO much fun!

We booked Minsky very last minute but his music ended up being our favorite part of the night. Minsky played during our ceremony on the beach and for cocktail hour. He added the island flair we were hoping for and was a pleasure to deal with.

Minsky was an absolute pleasure to work with in planning the music for our ceremony. He was very responsive to our requests and listening to him play the day of the wedding made my heart just melt. He was fantastic! All of our guest felt he was the perfect addition to our ceremony. I would highly recommend chosing him!

Minsky provided steel drum music for our wedding ceremony on the beach in the Outer Banks and also played for our cocktail hour at our reception. All of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed his music and how much they enjoyed him! He was very friendly...we felt that we had known him our entire life! He was very professional and was willing to do anything that we wanted him to do. When he was finished playing he stayed at our reception for hours and enjoyed himself and helped us celebrate our special day even though I know that he had a long trip home ahead of him. We would highly recommend Minski to any future bride and groom....his smile is contagious. You can't help but feel happy when you hear his music!

Minsky Delmonte is a true professional. He always responded back to me immediately while in the planning stages of the big wedding day for my daughter! The music was perfect for the beach/island mood we were creating! He was on time, played wonderfully during the ceremony and "cocktail hour" and upon invitation, stayed and mingled after his performance! It was like he was part of the family! My wedding guests had nothing but praises for him! My only regret was that I wasn't able to sit still enough (I'm the mother of the bride) to really listen to all his music! I would absolutely recommend Minsky!

Minsky was AMAZING!! Everyone commented on how unique it was to have a steel drummer at our wedding. Minsky totally set the mood for our outdoor wedding. Minsky has a heart of gold. I was to be a bride, in a beach wedding, in 2009, when I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I had to postpone my wedding until June of 2010. I contacted Minsky to share with him, my dream to have a beach wedding, and his compassion and dedication to help my dream become a reality was overwhelming to me!! Minsky went out of his way to arrange to perform at my Florida Beach Wedding and I will never forget how special he and his Steel Drum Music made my wedding day, a day I'll never forget!!! Having Minsky play at our South Carolina reception was the best decision I ever made, just behind saying "I do"! I only wish we had him play our other two receptions as well. Having had a private beach wedding, this music took me back to our wedding day and linked the two events perfectly! I'm now having to think of another reason to have him play for us again. Would a 1st anniversary party be too soon ;o)
Please don't hesitate and make the event extraordinarily special by having Minsky play!!! You're guests will remember his talent and charisma more than the reason for the event!!

Finding Minsky was truly a godsend. From beginning to end he went above and beyond and truly possessed a sense of professionalism. No call went unanswered. He worked with us on providing a playlist for the entire event that made the wedding day flow effortlessly. If you dreamed of having a steel drum at your wedding you couldn't ask for a better person with true skill and the ability to learn and play any song selection you may have. I don't think I've ever enjoyed cocktail hour music till you came around and that's saying something considering the number of weddings I've been to. Actually, come to think of it, I don't remember any music from any of the cocktails I've been to!! Minsky was great for our reception. He played the steel drums for our cocktail hour in the rainforest section of the aquarium. It was amazing! The ambiance of his music combined with the location were perfect! Minsky, Minsky, Minsky....

What can I say about what he added to our day. As my fiance and I are both of Caribbean descent, the steel drums are a huge part of our history. Minsky was able to make us both feel right at home. He played for our ceremony and cocktail hour.

Some people think of having a Steel Drummer just for a beach wedding, but please consider Minsky for other types of weddings as well. Our wedding was an evening wedding that was full of elegance with an air of fun and whimsy. He played while our guests were being seated. And when he played the Bridal Chorus when I walked down the aisle everyone was extremely surprised. My guests thought that I would have switched to a more traditional way of utilizing the Bridal Chorus but they quickly found out that the same steel drum that entertained them while they were being seated and waited for my grand entrance, was exactly what I walked down the aisle to.

Again...an amazing experience and we would not trade it for anything.

We wanted something different for our ceremony music so we decided to go steel drums.
Minsky was incredible, he hadn't played my venue in Wilmington before so he arrived in the morning to check it out (our ceremony was at 2pm). He was very sweet. It sounded incredible in the church. I was still able to walk down the isle to Canon in D (sounds cool on the drums). He evened learned a song I wanted him to play he didn't know and it sounded great!!!

Our organization used Hear Steel Drums Play featuring Minsky Delmonte for a couple of donor/volunteer recognition dinners this fall. Minsky provided music during a reception and throughout dinner. I found Minsky to be very responsive and easy to work with during the event planning process. He arrived on time and absolutely delighted our guests with his music. Minsky provided steel drum playing for our cocktail hour before our official reception. We were going for a summer theme, and he made it happen perfectly. His music filled the arbor without being at all imposing or disruptive to conversation.

Minsky went above and beyond in not only taking a few special requests, but learning some Colombian pieces as well - he not only added them to his repertoire, but got the guests dancing and singing along! Overall this was a great experience, Minsky was so responsive and accomodating, and our special day was made even better by his efforts. Thanks!

Never got to meet in person as he did the cocktail hour for my wedding but I only heard good things and the music sounded great looking back on video footage! Would highly recommend. Very flexible with schedule changes and friendly. Only docked down points as was hard to get quick response via email at times. But then did respond right away to phone Call. I was very pleased with the service all around.

Minsky did a great job providing music for our ceremony & cocktail hour. He even played over his time, as our beach ceremony had to be rescheduled indoors due to rain. He played through dinner, and helped make our ceremony beautiful regardless of the rain.
