The wedding coordinator, Meg, was extremely competent and efficient! She handled every situation to our satisfaction. Her ease and flexibility helped reduce the stress.
All of the vendors were good choices. The cake, food, flowers, bartender, and photographers were all just right!
I would definitely recommend the Stanley House for an event, especially for small weddings on a tight budget!

We couldn't have asked for a better place for our wedding. Our coordinator, Meg, was fantastic!! She was so helpful during the planning process and the actual wedding. The value was incredible - especially on a tight budget. The outdoor area is perfect for the wedding and reception (as long as the weather is nice - it was perfect for us). Joseph the bartender is also great, and the entire staff is so friendly!! I definitely recommend staying overnight - the rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is delicious! This was the perfect place for our wedding and everyone made the day so special.

I can not rave enough about the Stanley House. They took care of all the details and tried to make it as stress -free a day as possible. Even when miscommunications happened they were taken care of quickly and handled to keep my day running as smooth and stress-free. The venue was beautiful and perfect, the food got tons of compliments from my family, and I can't thank Cathy enough for everything she did for us. I totally recommend the Stanley House if you are looking for an intimate wedding.

Our stay at the Stanley House in Marietta, Georgia was absolutely fabulous. We rented the entire house and had the bride and bridesmaids stay there. The wedding reception was unbelievable. The service was excellent.... everything went exactly as promised. The food was out of this world, and the hospitality - exactly what you would expect from a southern mansion! Lloyd and Cathy went out of their way to insure our stay was perfect.

We were married Nov. 7th @ Stanley House. It was great. The process with Meg was soo smooth! She was helpful, informative, supportive and encouraging. The vendors were easy to work with, helpful with suggestions and answered questions without delay. The House was the perfect setting and we are very happy to have had our special day celebrated there!

My daughter was recently wed at the Stanley House, and we were very pleased with the results. From the initial meeting 10 months ago, we always felt like we were the most important wedding they ever had. Our cordinater, Meg, was great. She was always able to answer the questions we forgot to ask. She was able to diplomatically handle a relative who was doing the flowers (a feat of its own). On the day of the wedding from the second we arrived we felt at ease as everything was set up as discussed. The ceremony went off without a hitch, the reception was beautiful, and the bride was satisified that this WAS the wedding of her dreams. All of our friends and relatives have had nothing but praise about the wedding, and we have nothing but praise for Meg and how she helped make it all happen! The caterer, the cake, Nellie the D.J. all were fantastic. I would suggest the Stanley House to my closest friends.

Our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Stanley House Inn in early October and we are still hearing comments from friends, family members and even the vendors about how wonderful and unique it was. The setting of course was gorgeous, but I was most impressed with the professionalism of the staff. Cathy Kilday, the inn's owner was able to accommodate our needs in spite of working within a tight time frame, She also suggested vendors that were equally professional. The wedding planner, Meg Hannon was marvelous in helping to coordinate the activities for the rehearsal and the dinner, in addition to the outdoor ceremony and the reception following. She has a quiet and calming approach, and yet addressed and attended to every detail. Also it was a joy to interact with her husband Joseph who served as our gracious, charming and knowledgeable bartender. I can highly recommend the Stanley House as a venue for creating an enjoyable and memorable event.

We had everything at the Stanley House for the wedding. Rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception. Everything was just like we wanted it. You hear that something always goes wrong at a wedding. If it did we never knew about it and neither did anyone else. Their recommendations for caterers, photographers, etc. were excellent. The bed and breakfast was wonderful. Out of town family stayed there, we (parents of the groom) did too and I am so glad we did. The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms are very nice.

I recently stayed at The Stanley Inn while on vacation. The B&B is beautifully decorated and very clean. I was not there to attend a wedding event, however it appeared to be a beautiful place for a reception. The parlors were set up for an event being held that weekend and everything looked very pretty. The rooms are well lit, spacious, and offer a very romatic ambiance. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the Atlanta area.

Preparing everything for a wedding seemed impossible for me; I was completely overwhelmed and did not know where to start.
But then I found the people at The Stanley House, and all of a sudden all my fears disappeared.
They took care of absolutely everything in a wonderful way, down to the tiniest of details. All my wishes, no matter how trivial, were granted, and it was affordable!!
I had a wonderful wedding!
They all are wonderful people and all gave 200%, even more in the case of Meg!

The Setting:
Nothing but beautiful! The house is warm, welcoming and filled with Southern Charm without being even a little bit kitschy. When I chose the Stanley House I hadn’t even thought about the affect it would have on my pictures! Every image is positively radiant with a charm that you just can’t get from a neutral banquet hall.

The Package:
My husband and I chose the KIS package. After some research we decided to bring in our own photographer (Colby McLemore—very professional and travels!). Cathy and Lloyd Kilday had no problems with this at all deducted the photographers cost from the wedding plan immediately. It was a breeze! I had been dreading it, thinking they might have a “team” thing going and that I might accidentally come off as insulting, but my worries were for nothing. In addition to a photographer the KIS package includes catering, a DJ or pianist (we went with DJ), a florist, a cake, a day-of wedding coordinator and 4 hours reception time. Our cost was a little extra because we wanted to have our ceremony there as well, which added 2 hours, a getting ready room, and a free overnight stay/breakfast for the bride and groom. Oh, all the set up, tables, chairs and linens were also included!

The Big Day:
Meg was our wedding coordinator—we met her a few weeks beforehand and she made the whole process seem simple! On the day of the wedding she handled coordination with all vendors, timed our events, kept our maid of honor and best man informed, and was perfectly sweet to all our guests.

Our wedding was absolutely PERFECT. Thanks to Meg, Joseph (our bartender), Cathy and Lloyd of the Stanley House, Ami and Cindy of Big Girls Catering, Jennifer of Confection Perfection, Melissa of A Delicate Petal, Randy of Straight Entertainment and Colby of Colby’s Photography…we had a night we’ll never forget, and no reason to want to! I recommend the Stanley House to everyone.

Searching for a intimate wedding venue in Atlanta is not easy. After finding The Stanley house in a search, I quickly called and spoke with the on-site wedding coordinator. Cathy Kilday was very helpful and eager to meet all of my wedding needs.

I visited The Stanley House later that week and I can tell you first hand that the pictures on the website do not compare to the beauty and splendor of this immaculate home! Rich with American history and Southern charm it is a must see.

The ceremony was performed by Cathy's husband, Lloyd. It was beautiful and soul-stirring.

My husband and family were very impressed with the decor and service that The Stanley House offers. With a golden day atmosphere and modern touches, my family and I enjoyed our wedding cake and champagne while watching the Falcons and Rams game on the plasma tv!

The wedding planning was very easy at the Stanley House. Since I lived 1 1/2 away the flexibility with my schedule was limited. (I also work a full time job.). The wedding went smoothly and all of the vendors the Stanley House contracts with were excellent. If you would like a wedding without all of the headaches this is the place for you. We had approximately 80 guests and everyone had a wonderful time. The Stanley House has everything at a one stop shopping location, (planner, caterer, photograher, DJ, florist, cake designer, etc) This was a wonderfull experience and I would recommend this venue to anyone.

They were amazing! This house is amazing and BEAUTIFUL, a wonderful background in pictures.
We got so much for our money. They have packages to choose from and will edit them to fit your needs / wants. From the beginning the staff was polite, helpful and understanding. Even responding to my questions while she was on vacation! We ended up changing our wedding date and there was not a problem with it at all. Also, I didn't have to worry about every little detail because they have done plenty of weddings. They also have a "Day Of" wedding coordinator. When I didn't have a clue on what to do for certain things they always had options and examples for me to choose from.
My only issue was that the staff dressed a little too everyday on our big day. Considering they were seen by our guest throughout our ceremony and reception I felt they should have been dressed business casual.
I would highly recommend them to EVERY bride in the Atlanta area. The price and enviornment they offer can not be beat and trust me I shopped around!! Our guest loved the Southern and intimate feel the house gave and even inquired to use the facility for events themselves!
