SRO played at our daughters wedding and what a wonderful night it was. The dance floor was crowded all night and we got nothing but wonderful comments about the band. In addition to the reception, the jazz trio played during the cocktail hour and was wonderful. The ceremony music was also done by SRO and everyone loved it. I would recommend SRO to anyone and everyone -

Standing Room Only did the most incredible job at our wedding. The entire evening was so much fun, which was largely due to SRO. The music selection was perfect for all ages, and the dance floor was packed the entire time. They had such a great energy. All of our guests are still telling us how amazing the band was.

Standing Room Only is a PHENOMENAL wedding band. They pride themselves on being a wedding band. It isn't a band that is trying to be something it's not. They simply want to provide an energetic, fun experience at your wedding. And boy do they deliver.

From start to finish I had a fantastic experience with Standing Room Only. They were easy to work with from day one. I didn't provide a lot of guidance as to what we wanted music-wise for our wedding reception except that we wanted the music to be great. They took the little information we gave them and turned in into a fantastic party. Additionally, our guests RAVED about Standing Room Only. To have that affirmation that Standing Room Only was playing what everyone else wanted as well as what we wanted showed the experience and expertise Standing Room Only has.

Standing Room Only was by far the BEST wedding band we've ever heard, and luckily they played at our wedding. The music was so perfect for our venue and the songs were EXACTLY what everyone wanted to hear, as the dance floor was packed all night. Our reception kept going for hours and our guests were shouting "One More Song...One More Song" at the end of the night. Luckily, an encore occurred! Mike, the drummer, is super easy to work with and has great ideas for how to make your wedding reception best suited for you. The singers had incredible voices and nailed every song. This band comes highly recommended!

If I could have given SRO a ten, I would have done it. The ceremony music was beautiful and uplifting, the cocktail music was sophisticated, and the party ROCKED!! I cannot say how many compliments we got on SRO. Also, the flow of the party was perfectly arranged and executed by SRO. It was a pleasure knowing and working with Mike Toerpe and SRO!

As father of the bride, I recommended this band who then worked very closely with the wedding couple to deliver what they wanted. Well they delivered - the dance floor was always full - the brides wish. The music was outstanding - the reception dancing was perfect with a great band. We hope to use SRO again- for the next daughter! The band manager really listened and delivered what the couple wanted, showed up on time - everything was very professional, even made last minute changes at the bride's request.

Booking Standing Room Only was one of the best decision of my wedding planning. They sounded and performed phenomenally, and they had everyone out of their seat and on the dance floor at my reception! Forget about hiring a DJ, brides.......book SRO and don't look back!

We can not begin to thank SRO for making our wedding even more magical then we excepted. We were beyond happy with our choice of picking them. We choose them because they seemed to have everything we were looking for in a band; great sound and look, awesome playlist and no cheese factor. We had our wedding the Civic Opera House so we knew we needed a band that would be up to the challenge of preforming in such a big space and SRO was the perfect fit. They kept the party going all night and totally filled the room with amazing music. They were lively and professional and totally felt the vibe of the crowd which is very important. I can't tell you how many people were asking who our band was and this was a tough crowd. Mike was an amazing leader and never missed a beat with our entrance or speeches. We had a black tie wedding but we didn't want it to the feel to conservative and SRO was the perfect blend of professionalism while keeping things cool. We have so many amazing photos from that night of people going crazy on the dance floor because of them! We had an April 2, 2011 wedding and reception at Prairie Productions in the West Loop (chicago). While the space is smaller, Standing Room Only came and set up and were ready to rock. We had them do a 7 piece set up and we could not have been happier with the sound. The male and female lead vocalists were absolutely awesome and the entire band did a great job. I didn't have a referral or anything, and based my hiring them on their website and weddingwire.com reviews. I have to say, there were no complaints and everyone couldn't believe how good they were. Lots of folks said they were one of the best bands they've ever heard. Thanks go out to Mike and SRO!

Great band! They played all the hits we asked for and kept the party going.

I had heard so many wonderful things about this band, so I went to hear them live before we made any decisions. Mike from Standing Room Only was awesome. He was personable throughout the entire process. They kept my guests dancing the entire evening. they played a mix of music throughout the night. I could not have been happier.

We absolutely LOVED this band. My husband and I were skeptical about getting a band because we knew we would have a very young wedding that would want some upbeat, fun, and some current music. All of our young friends were blown away by the music they played, and how good they sounded. A couple people mentioned during the wedding "when is the band gonna start?" but at that point, the band had already started playing. They knew exactly when to play everytime of music. They were loved by everyone at the wedding young and old. I have never been to a wedding with the dance-floor packed 100% of the night. We highly recommend them to anyone considering a band.

"Awesome" is really the only way to describe our experience with Standing Room Only. From first receiving their very professional and informative press packet to the final minutes of our reception, they were nothing but attentive, professional, and talented. Mike, the band's contact, was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Also, he wasn't at all pushy. He gave us a couple of reminders (one phone call and one email) before we booked, but didn't call incessantly or use "scare tactics" ("Well, I have two other couples who are also interested in that date, so BOOK NOW!") to try to convince us to hire SRO. He made it very easy for us to give him the information he needed about our event by sending us forms via e-mail, and even called after we returned the forms to double-check the information. Then he called the event manager at our reception venue to double-check with her and make sure there weren't any problems with timing or anything.

As for the music, well, we had a reception hall full of professional and amateur musicians and they all left impressed. We received compliments for weeks after the wedding! And, for a really special touch, they let a friend of ours sing a song with them towards the end of the reception (after first checking to make sure it was okay with us!).

Our entire experience with SRO was exceptionally well-managed and enjoyable, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for live music for their wedding. Well done!
