I really can't write enough glowing reviews of the Stan. EVERYONE we met there (primarily Cera and Kevin) was extremely attentive, courteous, and really did go out of their way to assist us whenever necessary. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. We wanted an intimate venue (where ours was the only event being held), and all of our guests raved about the decor, furniture, etc. Also, the pricing is the best we found after researching venues throughout the entire city and even some suburbs. I couldn't recommend the Stan highly enough.

My wife saw Stan mansion online and insisted we both go look at the venue. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the place. That day we decided that Stan Mansion was the place for our wedding. Our wedding was wonderful and all our guest raved about how beautiful the Mansion was. Cera and her staff especially Kevin were absolutely great.

I got engaged in October of 2010 and came across the Stan Mansion in my research right away. I wanted a unique and special venue and I was excited to check it out. It was love at first sight! I also wondered why i had came across some of the bad reviews that I did. When I met Cera Stan I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful and accommodating she was. I took my fiance to check it out and in my second tour of the beautiful building I was sold! We were planning an October 2012 wedding and the day after seeing it for the second time Cera Announced that she would be holding Mini Ceremonies on Valentine's Day. My fiance and I discussed it and we decided we would participate in it! This left us with only 3 weeks to plan. I was a bit overwhelmed but Cera planned the entire event! She works with the best professionals in the business. My wedding was absolutely everything I had ever dreamed of! The mansion was beautifully decorated and Cera and her team went out of there way to make everything extra special. I can't wait for an excuse to hold another event there! I would highly recommend this venue to everyone. I felt like a princess the moment i walked in the door

Stan Mansion was the perfect venue for me, and working with Cera was delightful. They were very accommodating and let me come in with my own ideas and setup, recommended vendors, and worked with my vendors for me to ensure that all the proper paperwork was taken care of. Cera was wonderfully responsive through the whole planning process, had great suggestions, and was even at the wedding, helping me take care of last minute details as the guests arrived.

The renovations they have been working on are wonderful and it's a great event venue for someone who wants their wedding to be different than the regular banquet event.

The Stan Mansion was the perfect venue for my reception. It was unique and within my budget! The venue is so beautiful inside and it is so great that you have the entire venue for just your wedding. It is so unique and excellent for those looking to have more control over choosing your vendors. At the Stan Mansion, Cera Stan is there to greet you and work with you throughout the wedding process. Cera gives you a list of vendors that have been positively referred but of course you still have the freedom to choose any caterer, Dj, florist, event planner, and event rental. Her list was great and I did choose some of her vendors on the list. This is great for those who have a very specific budget as it gave me freedom to decide on how much I wanted to spend. The venue is so spacious and in a great location (easy to find and for guests to get to). They have a bar/cocktail area that is separate from the main hall which was so cool and guests loved the ability to move around more. You also can choose to bring in your own liquor and get a licensed bar tender (which you can get through your caterer) which was very helpful as it allowed us to make sure that people were able to drink all and night and make it open bar without putting us into debt. My guests loved my venue and thought it was so unique and special! I loved my experience with the Stan Mansion and hope to return there soon for another big event!

The Stan Mansion is an excellent place to get married if you are looking for a non- traditional wedding. The mansion is a great value for cost although everything associated with it has a heafty cost. That seems to be with anywhere in the city. Cera was slightly difficult to get a hold of but when she was available, she was extremely helpful and the day went off without a hitch. Everything was great and I would recomend this to an off-beat artsy bride.

We had a great experience at The Stan Mansion .To our surprise The Mansion was recently remodels with beautiful granite entrance and new bathrooms so elegant and unique .Cera was helpful and recommended great vendors for us .We saved lots of money by bringing our own liqueur and Cera let us set up the day before . It was the most beautiful wedding ever.

I just had my wedding here April 24th, and it was amazing! Cera, the owner, was completely caring, hands on, imaginative, and open. Cera allowed us to have long meetings with her to go over ideas for decorations, catering, etc. And she was extremely helpful in giving us her insight on which caterers, florists, cake makers, etc to use. And if there was someone on her prefered list of vendors we met with who was rude we told Cera and she would take that into consideration in whether she wanted to keep them on the preferred vendors list. I felt very protected by Cera when it came down to deciding on vendors for the wedding which is such a daughnting task. Also, Cera went above and beyond in allowing us to use items she had at no extra charge. For example, a couch, tables, seating in the bar, a rug, and so on. Cera takes pride in all events held at the Stan Mansion and she would do anything to make your day great.

Looking back I wouldn't have wanted to have my wedding anywhere else!

I absolutely loved the mansion. The beautiful building and the idea of customizing your event is truly unique. For my wedding i had the time of my life. The owner, Cera, was extremely nice and very helpful. She walked us through the entire setup and she recommended amazing vendors. When i saw the final product, i was amazed. That was the most beautiful event i ever saw. I highly recommend Stan Mansion for your next event.

I worked with Cera at the Stan Mansion to create the dream wedding reception.

My husband and I were on the verge of canceling even having a reception because we could not find a nice venue that we could afford. The Stan Mansion allowed us the flexibility to bring in any vendor of our choosing, allowing us to save THOUSANDS in liquor and food costs. The ambiance was easy to create because the building has so much character.

We had a beach themed reception for 200 people a week ago. We are still being asked how we ever found this place and complemented on the lighting, the bar set up, and the ease of valet parking.

Cera was just wonderful to work with. She was so helpful in recommending some of the most professional and easy to work with vendors. She also provided so many great recommendations at times it was like having a wedding planner.

I just love this venue and highly recommend it to anyone looking to host a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Everything went great at the stan mansion, I would recomend to anyone who wants a great venue in the city. We got so many compliments on our choice from our guests.

Absolutely loved the Stan Mansion - unique, affordable and flexible.

We worked with Stan Mansion and eventually booked them for our August 2009 wedding. Unfortunately, we were completely mislead by Stan Mansion management and wound up having to completely change the location of our wedding on only 4 months notice. We were treated so poorly and lied to during our experience with Stan Mansion. Not only did we suffer the stress of having to move our wedding on short notice, but they wouldn't even give us back our security deposit, even though they weren't able to meet the terms of our original agreement. Had hoped to see Stan Mansion as an up-and-coming Logan Square event location, but have been forced by this situation to provide negative reviews and recommend people away from Stan Mansion.

Horrible owners and management. Once they got paid, they could care less about us. The owner had an issue with out caterer (who she initially praised and recommened). They had an altercation and 3 weeks before the wedding Cera decided to change the rules. The day of our rehearsal, she double booked. And did nothing to help rectify the issue. She stayed in her office like she was scared of the confrontation. at the rehearsal, we learned there would be no air conditioning. No air at the end of June in chicago, SERIOUSLY! We paid way too much money to be treated this way. And a friend of mine saw a rat in the building the day of. How embarrasing! Stay far away from this venue and any other businesses operated by Cera Stan.

Stan Mansion, and Cera in particular, were the highlight of our wedding-vendor experience. I do not usually give perfect scores, but there is nothing else I could possibly do in this case: Stan Mansion was perfect.

We had a very non-traditional, queer not-a-wedding ceremony, with a completely unique ceremony and reception. Cera not only handled all of our requests and needs beautifully, she was excited and supportive and fantastic to work with. She understood our budget, worked with us to find vendors who could do what we wanted at a price we could afford, suggested caterers and resources, and helped us when any of those relationships were difficult.

We cannot recommend this venue highly enough. Our ceremony was gorgeous, our reception perfect, our guests enchanted, and our not-a-wedding the most remarkable day of our lives.
