  If you are getting married RUN AWAY FROM THIS PARISH. When I decided to have a destination wedding out in AZ where my parents live we knew we wanted a mass. We met with Deacon Luke and his wife, Gayle. My parents are wedding photographers for over 25 years. They immediately signed us up for a 1:30 mass as our paperwork backs up. Luke would call us for things such as the marriage license that we had told him we wouldn't have until we got there. Then he said they had made an error & that we needed to change to 1:00 not 1:30. My dad told him that the invites had already gone out with 1:30 on it and that we couldn't change. Our family's chalice and plate, the "Hand Prayer" all became issues. The morning of the wedding, we had the terrible misfortune of our transportation cancelling on us. We had to scramble and get alternative means to St. Clare's. They were supposed to arrive at 1:00 and instead arrived exactly at 1:30. My mom immediately went to Luke and Gayle. We lined up, but the Groom's mom was waiting for her son to escort her down the aisle. Luke kept yelling at her to go. My mom, went down the aisle crying. My 2 ringbearers who had been sleeping and with his yelling at everyone, started having a melt down. Both moms ended up carrying their crying children all disheveled. Once the mass began, Luke got up on the podium and stated that "you didn't come to hear me speak, so we will cut to the chase....no homily" Later we found out that 2 of our guests were made to cry as he insulted them in the pews and he was so awful to our wedding coordinator that she had to go to her car for 15 minutes! So many guests came to my parents during the reception and remarked how nasty the two of them. He was so condescending to Fr. Nick on the alter. Their complete take on everything is that you don't belong, probably don't go to mass & he wanted to get home. He literally shut the lights off on guests. Luke walk to my mom and said "that's the way it goes!"
