I couldn't ask for more!

I was pleased with the Hornblower/Baltimore from the very start of the quote until the very end of the cruise for our winter wedding. My coordinator was friendly, responsive and flexible. I only know of 1 little hiccup on my big day but my coordinator was on top of everything! I didn't have to worry about anything from start to finish. The ship was beautiful and the lunch was AMAZING! It's six months later and people are still talking about the delicious meatballs lol! I'm looking forward to celebrating our 1 year anniversary with Hornblower Cruises

Spectacular

My Wedding on the Water was One to Remember. Everyone was courteous and kind, very attentive to my guest. Alll the tables and other decorations were in place just as Miriam, my Wedding Coordinator said it would be. I highly recommend Spirit of Baltimore to everyone.

Ask for Miriam Wallace and Nia Carter. They were phenomenal throughout the whole process. Miriam was always there for me, kept me in the loop about everything, and gave her honest opinion when needed. I was so thankful for her and Nia. She took care of me and kept my best interests through and through. I have always had great experiences on the Spirit, but my wedding topped them off.

I had so much fun on my wedding day! If you want to do something unique without breaking your budget, this is the perfect option! I was on the Inner Harbor Spirit, not the Spirit of Baltimore, which worked in my favor because there was already a different wedding on the Spirit of Baltimore the same day (more on that later).
Pros:
Great value for everything! I customized a few things through outside vendors (like my cake), but I could have easily saved a bit of money if I had gone through Spirit Cruises. Nia made sure that all of my questions and concerns were handled months before.
Awesome DJ! I have really obscure music tastes. Spirit let me customize my entire wedding playlist and even let me work in a Soul Train line! The DJ even started all the line dances off without missing a beat! I think his name was Dave and he was awesome, so kudos to him!
Amazing Day of Coordinator and Staff! I really cannot stress this enough! Sylvia was super thoughtful! She and her staff diligently made sure that the obnoxious cupcake tower I had didn't fall over when we hit a bit of rough water. Before the cruise left, Sylvia even had her staff run to H&M and buy me a pair of sneakers in case my feet got tired! I literally had no complaints or concerns the day of, thanks to her.
Food was great! I will warn you that as a bride, you tend to get wrapped up in the day and forget to eat, but it was really really good and the guests wouldn't stop raving about it! There was also a champagne toast (and for guests who are abstaining from alcohol, they do offer sparkling apple juice).
Cons:
You can hear the other wedding's music. If there is a wedding on the other boat at the same time, you can hear their music while your wedding is happening.
Not a lot of shade. I paid for chairs for people to sit in the ceremony area, but since it was super hot, my elderly guests huddled off to the side under the shade.
TL;DR: Boat weddings are awesome! Go with Spirit Cruises!

Having our wedding on the boat was a memorable experience for us. Our guests truly enjoy their experience that night especially because we were able to bring our own DJ to feet with our culture. Miriam, the event coordinator was very helpful in assisting with the progression of the event from the beginning to the very end. I truly appreciated her help on the day of. Even my guests were able to note her remarkable performance that day. The food was delicious! I definitely recommend the Spirit of Baltimore for your wedding.

I married my best friend on July 28, 2018. Miriam was our coordinator. She was extremely helpful and patient with my husband and myself through the whole process. This is my first marriage and there were things I didn't even think about that Miriam mentioned and we incorporated into our beautiful day. She addressed my concerns about the weather and reassured me that if it did rain she would be there to make necessary changes. That was such a relief. For a whole year Miriam was the greatest at answering all questions and following up with me about the progression towards our big day. Needless to say my day was perfect and as much as I stressed, it turned out just as I had envisioned. Miriam was a life saver. She gave direction and made sure that everyone was in line and doing this on the timetable. I cant wait to come back for our complimentary anniversary dinner cruise next year! Thank you, we appreciate your help making this day one of the best ones of my life!

Miriam Wallace (Coordinator) and Nia Carter (Account Manager) were FANTASTIC. They made the entire experience so easy! They were kind, very responsive, and worked hard to make sure that I had the wedding that I desired. The serving staff was fantastic and made the experience wonderful. The price was beyond reasonable and our guest really enjoyed their selves. Thank you Spirit of Baltimore!

My husband and i got married at Spirit of Baltimore July 29 2017. Our coordinator, Lakeya, went above and beyond i could have ever imagined. She was very helpful during the planning stage, set up, and during the wedding. She took all the worries out of the wedding planning. Real professional. I can not thank her enough. We also used florist they recommend and it worked out great. The venue, the food, the DJ, and the service was of the best quality, and the views just unbeatable. I was hesitant at first, but it did not disappoint. We made many wonderful happy memories that day.

Nia and her staff on the Spirit of Baltimore were simply sensational. They handled everything from table settings to music. All we had to do was let Nia know what we wanted and how we wanted it and she made sure everything happened. The food was amazing and the bar staff did an outstanding job of keeping the guests happy with quick service. The DJ/MC worked in perfect concern with Nia and the rest of the staff in order to make sure all the reception events happened on time and without flaw. I cannot thank the Spirt of Baltimore and Nia enough for an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this dinner cruise/reception for any wedding or event.

We just had our wedding on the spirit of Baltimore on Saturday the 24th and it was the most amazing time of our lives. Everything was perfect and we didnt want the night to end. Good food, music and just an overall wonderful time! All our guests had a blast

This was the best wedding service/planning you can get! Prior to getting married, I wasn't really the "wedding gal". I never dreamed of having a big, extravagant wedding, and I was perfectly fine with going to a court house. But I'm so glad my mother booked Baltimore Spirit Cruises to help make my day amazing! At the time they were offering promotions so the overall price was reduced, there are a variety of packages to help you choose what you want, and you can add and take away items. Nia Carter, (and she works with a partner whose name escapes me sadly) are super friendly, attentive, great listeners and give you what YOU want and do not pressure you to make decisions. Everything was executed above my standards and the buffet was great (my guest were trying to take plates lol)! The DJ is amazing and you can tell him your style of music and he delivers! My husband and I were extremely happy with our wedding day and I wouldn't change a thing. Without question, I would recommend a Baltimore Spirit Cruise to every couple in the Baltimore area.

Spirit cruises was absolutely wonderful! We first went to a "tour" of the ship and Q&A session for couples thinking about booking Spirit. Nia was very helpful with all the questions we had. We ended up booking them the same day and set a date also. We had received a discount for booking in the off season, which helped out greatly! Nia had set us up with a sample lunch cruise so we could taste all the food and get a feel for how the day would go. We had more questions and Nia was just an email or phone call away. All the staff on the day of was very helpful and professional. They went above and beyond to got us whatever our guests or we needed. We had a small wedding of about 60-70 guests and everyone was comfortable- plenty of room on board! We also liked the many great photo ops with the cruise of the Baltimore Inner Harbor, such as the Key Bridge and taking group photos on the upper deck. Our ceremony was inside and everything was set up just the way i had wanted it to be. Everyone is still telling me how much fun and different it was compared to the traditional ball room venue. We signed up for the package that included cake- from Baltimore Cakery, DJ services, food and open bar. Having all these in one place really made it easy and we saved some $$ by having it all with one vendor!
If you are thinking about booking with them.. Please do so! You will not regret it! :)

Lakeya Carter, was able to capture the vision we had for our wedding, and bring it to life with more elegance and style than we could have ever imagined. Additionally. she informed us prior to our wedding date, that she wouldn't be able to set sail with our guest and I, but due to the tardiness of our bridal party, this was no longer an option for her, and despite that change, she remained professional, courteous and diligent about us receiving the best wedding we could have ever dreamed of. Lakeya Carter is truly an asset to The Spirit of Baltimore Cruises, and should be highly regarded as one of their invaluable employees. Ms Lakeya Carter is the shining example to be set for an outstanding employee.

Nia and staff So, let me write you a glowing, shouting from the roof tops, THANK YOU. Everything (just about) was perfect for their day. Your waitstaff was excellent (polite, efficient and helpful), the food was dee-licious(!), the bartending staff was excellent (kept up with the orders with a smile), and your set up crew are hardworking (on a hot day, always willing).

Thank you Nia for going through all the extra steps with our live butterflies, ice sculpture and anything else that was above and beyond I know I want easy to work with I am a perfectionist. You were amazing Neek Meek and the families thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I choose this venue because of all of the incentives included in their price such as the DJ, the cake, buffet style meal, alcohol and many others. That was a huge relief having everything in the venue provided and at such a reasonable price. I choose all of my songs and wedding order and everything and they were able to make everything happen!! The staff was incredibly kind and respectfull which they just made my wedding even more enjoyable. I am so glad we chose them and don't regret anything

Book this venue! They made the process very stress-free by providing many of the services you would typically have to contact several vendors for, such as cake, DJ, and catering. Decorations are not really required due to the beautiful Inner Harbor background. A few small table decorations will suffice. Just make sure the photographer you chose is aware that guests are free to roam the 3 decks of the boat. This is just a small logistical issue, but completely worth it!

Lakeya and Nia were great. They kept constant communication, were organized and easy to work with. It is a wham! bam! thank you ma'am! Stop. As you not only able to book the venue and food, but cake, photography, limo service and wedding block. Also spirit cruise lines offer a back drop that in one of a kind.

This is the way to go for any specific event when you want to celebrate! Anniversary, birthday, retirement, anything! Nia Carter, my event coordinator is the best! She went above and beyond the call of duty to see that our 40th anniversary party was a blast. Especially, since it was a surprise for my husband! She and I had to communicate with my e-mail or cell phone only so my husband would not find out! He was shocked! I highly recommend the "Spirit of Baltimore Cruise Ship!" Way to go, NIa!!

We had a wonderful experience having our wedding reception aboard the Spirit of Baltimore! The food was great, the DJ made it even more fun, and the staff were always professional and attentive. Lakeya and Jamie were always available to answer any questions we had leading up to the wedding and offered suggestions when we weren't quite sure which direction to make with certain decisions.

I really enjoyed working with Nia and Brian of Spirit Cruises. They accommodated our needs and they tried their hardest that we could get our money's worth. The servers were on-point and the DJ was also very entertaining.

Our full-ship wedding on the Spirit of Baltimore with Jaime Legg as our coordinator was nothing short of amazing! Jaime was fantastic, friendly, and incredibly flexible to work with throughout the whole planning process. Our 200+ guests raved about the high quality of the food, how fun the DJ's were interacting with everyone, and the attentive servers and bartenders. Everything was so fantastic, the staff was great and helpful, the wedding was so much fun, and our guests are talking about how this was one of the most unique and fun weddings they've been to! The only downside was how short the reception felt (1 hr cocktail +3hrs reception), even with upgrading an extra half an hour it still felt crunched. But being able to have first dances and toasts on the top deck of a ship moving through the Harbor was totally worth it. Each guest got to have the evening they wanted - whether it was on the top deck enjoying the views and company of family or one of the two dance parties (one with younger kids, the other a little more adult) going on on each inside deck. My husband and I love the water and Baltimore, and we couldn't imagine (or find) any other venue that so completely matched our personality and size of the wedding guest list. As soon as we took the tour with Jaime we knew it was the right location - and I especially loved how I didn't need to find a separate DJ, cake baker, caterer, event rental place, bartenders... it was all so conveniently handled by Spirit/ Jaime and was an amazing added value that we couldn't find elsewhere in downtown Baltimore. We are so happy we chose the Spirit and had the most amazing wedding reception - thank you!!!

Jaime Legg helped plan an absolutely wonderful 50th Anniversary Celebration for my parents. Our evening was PERFECT in every way! The vow renewal ceremony on the top deck provided a spectacular backdrop for the ceremony. Dinner was absolutely delicious! The DJ/Entertainment was top-notch! The staff was outstanding!

We could not have pulled this off so well and so organized without Jamie. All of our guests had nothing bad to say about the ceremony or the reception or the food or the sunset cruise. Even the weather cooperated. Jamie was there politely whispering in our ear every time we needed a cue or push to do the next thing on the schedule. Thank you Spirit Cruise and Thank you Jamie.

My husband and I are a military couple so we make plans, but sometimes our duties interfere with those plans. We planned to renew our vows on the Spirit and had to change the date on two separate occasions. Our sales manager Jessie was so flexible and accommodating with our date. On the date of our event everything was so perfect and beautiful. The staff was so professional and friendly, and our coordinator Brian ensured everything ran smoothly. There isn't one thing we would have changed about our special day. I would highly recommend the Spirit for your special event.

We had our wedding on The Spirit of Baltimore and it was amazing! The boat was decorated exactly like what I wanted. The food was excellent. My cake was beautiful and tasted great. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend everyone get married on the Spirit! We were married by Captain Lou and he was wonderful. My guests are still raving about how much fun they had and how good the food tasted. We plan to take a dinner cruise on our one year anniversary.

I could not have been more pleased with my expereince with the Spirit of Baltimore Cruise Ship for my wedding. We are coming up on our one year anniversary and I can still remember everything as if it was yesterday. Having our wedding on the ship gave us our very own personal coordinator. We were lucky enough to get Jaime who was nothing short of remarkable. Any questions I may have had or anything I needed she was right there to help me out. She made sure that everything went according to plan and with my timeline. The packages they offered were more than reasonable and all inlusive. I loved that for a certain price we got the food, liquor, dj, cake and more and didnt have to go to other outside vendors. Everything was handled all in one place.To date we are still getting compliments from guests who said it was the best wedding they have ever been too and it had the best food they have ever had. My husband and I were so pleased with everything we have decided to take a cruise again for our anniversary. Back to where it all started. I highly recommend this venue to everyone!

My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our wedding aboard the Spririt of Baltimore. We decided to get married here because of the reasonable price and the convienece. Everything needed for the ceremony and reception was provided by the company. It took a lot of stress out of the planning. The ceremony was perfect, the reception was fun, and the food was amazing.

I cannot say enough positive comments about Jaime. The planning began 2 weeks prior to the wedding date, and she calmly walked me through the entire process. She went above and beyond to make sure that any issues were resolved and to ensure all the details were attended to. She even made sure I didnt forget anything!
The entire event, pre-ceremony, ceremony, and after gathering for dinner and cruise was beautiful - low stress and if I had to do it again, I wouldnt change a thing!

The staff at Spirit Cruises is amazing! Everyone commented that I looked so calm and relaxed and I owe a lot of that to Ami and her staff. Ami helped me put everything together and was always available to answer my questions. I dropped of my centerpieces and favors the night before and her staff handled all of it for me. I was amazed when I walked onto the deck; the staff did a wonderful job or blending my centerpieces, favors, and floral arrangements. I loved that fact that it was all inclusive, I only had to contact a photographer and florist. Ami was better than any wedding planner I could have booked, the food and the cake was amazing, the DJ was great. The wait staff was exceptional as well; the management checked on us frequently, everyone was welcoming. If we ever plan any special event again I am defiantly using them! I will also be recommending them to everyone I can.

Ami was the rep for Spirit cruises and did a fabulous job with our wedding reception. She was great about answering all of my questions. The venue was fun, the food was delcious and they made my wedding cake, which was amazing. They also included a DJ. I sent the DJ a list and he played a lot of songs from my list plus more. He also played a CD of special songs that my family wanted to hear. The chef decorated our sweetheart table with fruit and shrimp and chocolate covered strawberries. It was a creative spread and we loved it!! If we got married all over again we would work with Ami and the crew at Spirit Cruises.

Spirit of Baltimore was very easy to work with. We purchased everything for the ceremony and reception through them, and they made the whole process of wedding planning very easy. If I had any questions or concerns, I just emailed them and they got right back to me. Everyone working on the boat was very friendly and genuinely seemed to care if the guests were having a good time. The food was delicious and plentiful, the cake was beautiful, and everyone had a great time.

The staff was phenomenal. As in every event there are few hickups, but in all everything was organized as resquested. The night was filled with lots of smiles and laughter. Jamie , Brian and Lindsey all did an incredible job.

We had a wonderful experience on the spirit cruise. We had a small wedding, performed by the captain of the ship. Everything we needed was combined in to one price. The DJ,Catering, Venue and even the officiant for a small fee. they helped us with everything we needed. We had a private and very intimate ceremony on the top deck, and the event manager Heather took care of everything and helped us understand every detail. They are a little bit pricey, but the experience is well worth it. Dinner was open to the public, and so was dancing. The dinning manager made sure we were all satisfied and even spoke with the DJ about allowing us to have the first dance of the night. It was very romantic. I highly recommend this vendor if you would like a small intimate wedding. Cruising with them was a pleasure.

This was a great option to have our wedding on the Spirit of Baltimore, but the time is shorter than a normal reception; something to think about if you don't want to compromise dancing time. However, it is a great value due to the fact that it is all inclusive

We had a fabulous event wedding on the Baltimore Spirit. The very romantic wedding ceremony was performed on top of the ship before the cruise and then our group of 40 went downstairs where we continued our celebration as our ship filled up with lots of other celebrating couples & groups. The delicious food was served buffet style which was actually quite nice as you could enjoy as much or as little as you liked. We all had a great time and having a lot of different parties happening at once was joyful.

We booked the Spirit for my parents 20th anniversary vow renewal! This is a good venue if you are looking to keep costs down because its all-inclusive. The add ons can add up quickly so be careful if your on a strict budget. The staff was wonderful and very attentive, though Ms. Nia Carter can be hard to reach by phone, she always responded quickly via email. All and all the back drop of the inner harbor, the service, our day of coordinator, and the staff made my parents big day wonderfully beautiful. They looked as if they fell in love all over again!!

The vendor itself was absolutely beautiful! I recommend this cruise ship for weddings and any other event! My only advice would be to stay connected to your representative and have your own list and order at your hand for referring back to what you want exactly. I think my representative was very pleasant and nice, but not always available and was a little forgetful! Other than that, I was pleased.

For the money I felt that the quality of service would be better. The food was excellent. Coordination for the event was subpar. Sound system for ceremony and reception was disappointing. Flexibility with special requests were not accomodated. It was a nice event but for the money I would choose differently if doing it again.

Bad wedding experience, City Cruises Baltimore

We booked the wedding date approximately three months before the wedding. We were not told there would be a marathon and running festival in downtown Baltimore that would close the majority of streets needed to access the boat and general area and severely limit parking on the same date and time. We were informed of this only five days before our wedding. I would not have booked that date knowing how much more difficult it would be for our 70 guests to arrive. I spent around 15 hours across the five days before my wedding calling the marathon organizers (six separate conversations) and area hotels and parking garages because City Cruises did not take the initiative to find this out.
We had a dozen or so elderly guests with limited mobility that because of marathon road closures had to walk long distances to the boat and a few arrived in great pain. In addition, they had to wait a long time to board the boat, in the rain, despite that we were told we could have early boarding due to the inconvenience.
I was told there would be a room for the bride and party to get dressed, but it was a dirty storage room with huge windows with view of the outside dock where people could see me getting dressed. In addition, they did not help us stick to our schedule so we had almost no dancing time as planned, the DJ did not play most of the songs we request in advance and played his own choices. I asked in advance where the ceremony backdrop would be if we needed to have the ceremony inside the boat instead of on the upper, open deck. I was told the altar would be in front of the staircase, but this wasn't the case. I only found out when I walked down the aisle that the ceremony was in front of the DJ booth. We requested a partial refund and got absolutely nothing discounted.
We did not get any compensations, extras or even any admission that they were at fault. We could have been offered an open bar, for example or a better food package, longer cruise time, something. I would have not written negative reviews if they had even attempted to make right on poor customer experiences.

Jaime was the only positive feature of dealing with Spirit Cruises. She is a first class professional, always pleasant, thorough and responsive. Brian was unprofessional, unresponsive, disorganized and truly is of no benefit. He was so difficult to deal with that I had to ask Jaime to take over in his responsibilities.1. Photography - We prepaid for 75 6x8 pictures of all our guests boarding the boat as a gift. However, due to your photographer's flash overheating, some 22 pictures were not taken of our guests and some of the photos we saw were blury and guests were not posed properly by the photographer--my husband and I spent the last hour of our reception canvasing our guests to determine who had not taking photos and urging them to do so and then locating your photographer.2. Service for Bridal Couple: No service was provided as your staff left and never returned and some items that we partook of 2 weeks prior when we were on the cruise for the BSA Reunion for Frostburg State College were not on our buffet at all. 3. Spirit Cruises D.J. - The D.J. did not play the entire song that was our entry song that we had prepared dance steps too...once we entered and walked past the wedding party, the song was cut off abruptly. In addition, the D.J., did not do a good job of getting the passengers on the dance floor. 4. Lack of Security/Private Party: 3 times, that I know of, other passengers that were not invited guests of my reception gained entry to our reception and were on the dance floor or about to partake of our buffet. Spirit Cruises staff did not stop them. Thankfully, Phil's brothers noticed this occurring and politely asked them to leave...thus, we had wedding guests providing security for our reception. This didn't make any sense at all and is absurd!!! Spirit Cruises so called SECURITY was completely NON EXISTENT.For these reasons, we would not recommend you to our friends.
