  Wow, we are so pleased that we used Sounds of Distinction and Laura for our wedding night!! What an amazing night and what an awesome DJ. We were bummed that live music was not in our budget, but it was definitely not missed. Laura did an awesome and seamless job through the ceremony, cocktail, and reception. People loved the music choices for each portion. We had such a good time! The dance song selection was also great and my guests were so happy she was taking requests too. Overall, we had such a great experience with Laura - would highly recommend.

  Laura put on a fantastic show. The guests were on the dance floor all night and my legs hurt from dancing so much! She made our ceremony so special by playing a very special song to walk down the aisle to and our first dance was so wonderful. Laura, thank you so much for keeping the party going. I envy what you do! And the lighting was fantastic as well.

  Laura was an amazing DJ!! She played all our "must play songs", took requests from our guests and kept the dancing going all night! I was told by many of our guests how awesome our DJ was! We also had no concerns with her being set up on time and following our reception schedule. Thanks for the amazing entertainment, you helped make our wedding amazing!

  All of our guests agree that our party was great! Everybody had a blast. Thank you so much to Laura, our DJ and MC, who made this possible. Believe me, we had a prefect wedding with the help of all our competent and helpful vendors. I couldn't ask for more.

  Laura was an absolute dream to work with. Despite only talking with her on the phone a couple times, we booked Sounds of Distinction right away based on her responsiveness and reviews we had read online. She took all of our guests requests and played all of our top-10 "must plays" even if some were not top 40 songs. Our wedding had a lot of small children, so many of the popular songs that were played early in the night were edited (swears taken out) which was great as we wanted to keep the event family friendly. Even my father pulled me aside to mention that he was very pleased with the music selection that was played during dinner service (jazz and slow contemporary). Her DJ table and set-up was also very clean, which is something rarely seen at weddings as many times all you see is cords and plug-ins everywhere. As far as I can remember, she had a laptop and a few speakers and stands visible. When we booked her, there had a special going on that included lights which we requested in our wedding colours and were nicely set up behind the head table and really gave the place a professional look. I suggest getting lights if they are not included as this really makes a difference.

  Dan, you were fantastic! Not only did you play every single song we wanted, you were able to accommodate our guests requests and were able to anticipate what people wanted to hear next. I also appreciated seeing your smiling face as we got through our vows during the ceremony.

  Laura and Dan are not only fantastic people but really have a feel for everyone's individual wants and needs when it comes to their wedding. We met with this amazing couple a few weeks before our wedding and they helped us plan the entire schedule for our ceremony/reception - all the time, making making sure it was the vision we had for our "Hallowedding". They continually checked on us the day of the wedding and REALLY went that extra mile to make our day so very special. I would recommend a thousand times over. Thank you for EVERYTHING!
