We were so happy with our choice in picking Sound Sensations as our DJ for our wedding! Ed did such a terrific job keeping people interested, and on the dance floor all night! We had several of our guests comment to us on how great our DJ was! The photo race, scavenger hunt, and kids time went over really well! Not to mention now we have a picture of every table of guests at our wedding! There was maybe one song all night that may have had less people on the dance floor, but I think some people were just taking a break, and got right back on the dance floor! Ed told us he was going to create a environment of fun, and he sure did!
Ed drove at least an hour to meet with us a few weeks before the wedding, to finalize details. I was so impressed I did not have to drive all the way to Ed's location, he met us half way!
We experienced Sound Sensations at my cousin's wedding, and knew we wanted Sound Sensations for our wedding!
If you are looking for a DJ to just play music, don't hire sound sensations. If you want an interactive, fun, and exciting night, hire sound sensations immediately! Their prices are comparable to other DJs, but their services are far better than any other DJ!

Sound Sensations was AMAZING!! I have nothing but good things to say about ED. From day one when we first met he was overly prepared to give us the best wedding experience ever. On our first encounter he went through everything that he does and what to expect and took the time to find out who we were and what we expected from the day. He was very well planned and helped us with any questions we had. It was nice knowing someone would be at our wedding making sure everything went smoothly he was like our own personal wedding planner. Ed gave us forms to fill out that covered every aspect of what to expect that day and customized to what we were looking for. Our room was beautifully uplighted , he created two custom dance mixes that we did for our grandmarch and first dance that took him a bunch of time but turned out amazing and people are still talking about it still today. I have gotten numerous compliments about how professional and energetic that our DJ was and that it was one of the best receptions that they have ever been to. We have tons of people there right til midnight because Ed kept them dancing and having fun all night. The only thing I wish I could have changed is I wish I would have known about him sooner to reccommend to my friends who have gotten married that didnt have nearly as much fun as we did!!! The DJ we had was amazing! He kept the energy up, and stuck to our do not play list (even though guests kept asking for some of the songs). He had a sale going on when we booked, so we were very happy with the cost and the quality

Ed from Sound Sensations provided sound for both our Wedding Ceremony and our Reception. Saying he did an excellent job at both would be an understatement. On our first meeting, he asked good questions to get an idea of our event and what we wanted. By the time we had our second meeting, we had changed our reception from not having a dance to having a dance. THis change was no problem for Ed. He asked us more about what we wanted and took it all in stride. Ed helped us pick music for the ceremony, and, on the day of the ceremony, his timing and coordination of the music with everything else was flawless. To say Ed made the reception fun is also and understaement, We heard from so many of our guests how much fun they had and it was because Ed engaged them in the event. Ed provides much more than sound at an event,. he makes the event.

Ed from Sound Sensations Entertainment is just what a bride and groom deserve to have for their special day! He is extremely helpful in the planning process and promises (and fulfills that promise) to give you the customized entertainment that you want for your wedding! He takes the extra steps to ensure that all other service providers (venue, photographer, videographer, etc.) are all on the same page to ensure your day/night go very smooth and everyone has a great time. This in itself is worth the money you pay for his entertainment! Everyone spends countless hours planning their ONE big day and any effort to help make it run smooth just makes it that much better! Our friends still talk about how much fun they had at our wedding and the manager of the hotel said it was the most fun wedding they have ever had!

Ed from Sound Sensations provided the DJ service for the Daddy Daughter Dance held by Fox Valley Lutheran Schools on March 4th 2012. Ed did a fantastic job keeping the girls and their dads interacting on the dance floor.

When we started looking for wedding entertainment, we were shocked at the amount of "DJs" out there who seemed to be either: A) overpriced ego-maniacs or B) some dude with an illegal mp3 collection & a subwoofer who wanted to be paid in beer. YIKES. But then we found Sound Sensations and never looked back!

We met with Ed twice in person, had multiple phone & e-mail correspondences, and each time he was professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. He took time to fully understand what we wanted and then gave use lots of creative ideas to help fill gaps in our vision, never pushing for anything that didn't mesh with what *we* wanted. For our wedding entertainment, we wanted someone to help mix our different music tastes for our crowd of non-dancers. He reminded us that it was *our* day and that *anything* was possible.

Some Highlights...

- Acting as our Master of Ceremonies, Ed helped fine tune our day of timeline in advance to ensure nothing was missed. Ed was confident & reassuring working with us - one half of us being a Type A bride! He ran sound for our ceremony, with a couple tricky song timing spots - and he did a flawless job.

- On the wedding day, he arrived promptly, checked in with us like he said he would, and established great communication with other vendors. His wife was along as his assistant; she was a friendly, knowledgeable asset. :)

- The clarity & quality of sound were both excellent for the entire day. No issues. Since he took the time to understand what type of atmosphere we wanted (a family gathering rather than a raging dance-a-thon), our guests commented on the nice volume level - loud enough to encourage the celebration, yet not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation.

- He provided a smooth transition from the ceremony, into cocktails, into dinner, and then into the reception - complete with some fun trivia questions & a scavenger hunt by the wedding party! Great crowd pleasers.

- Accommodating. We wanted full control of every song played, no group dances, and originally chose not to allow song requests. He shared his experiences and made recommendations, but always made us feel like we had the reins. We did provide a long, detailed playlist with some room for improvisation, but we ended up doing 2-3 group dances and changing our minds half way through the night about the song requests. Ed went with the flow, no questions asked.

A quick story to sum it all up...

We returned from photos and were rushing to go inside to keep things on track (which was really important to us.) Ed and his wife greeted us outside, graciously ran interference & redirected a needy wedding guest, and asked if we needed anything (blazing sun + hot = refreshments, please!) It gave us a moment together to pause & breathe. Very thoughtful. It turned out to be one of the indelible memories together from our wedding day.

It is that kind of expertise, mindfulness, and reliable support that seems to be at the core of what SSE clients can expect.
