Fantastic company

The team with Smokey Mountain Sounds is super lovely and helpful. They offered to help clean up the mess from a previous DJ that abandoned us.. & even went out of their way to find other equipment rental information for us. I'm very grateful for the kindness. Definitely recommend doing business with such good folk.

Ron of Smokey Mountain Sounds recently was recently the DJ for our daughter's wedding and he did an incredible job! He was professional in every way (sound quality of music, following the order of songs and announcements as asked) and very friendly and courteous to our family and friends. Organized, prepared, and professional LGBTQ+ friendly DJ

Working with Ron was a breeze! He was super inclusive of us as a same-sex LGBTQ+ couple and was easy to work with. He uses an app to help get all of the wedding day music organized and it was so helpful (and, honestly, fun)! On our wedding day, we had some unexpected circumstances and Ron was quick to adapt, prepared with solutions, and remained professional throughout the whole day. The music they played throughout the reception was fun, fit the crowd, and got people dancing! We also loved the fun lights they set up for the reception, too.

Great experience!

We hired Ron and Smokey Mountain Sounds as our DJ for our wedding 06/05/2021. Ron did a great job! I was nervous about the DJ/dancing aspect because we were having a small wedding (30 people). Ron did a great job keeping everyone involved and dancing, without being over the top. He was also very helpful during my song selection process, as I was having some trouble picking major songs, like my father-daughter dance. He did a great job with the ceremony music as well. We needed to move the cake cutting up about an hour (due to the heat), and he quickly transitioned to the song I had selected for cake cutting. I would recommend Ron to anyone!

Keeps the party going

Our Wedding has to be moved to a smaller location at a different time but Ron and his wife worked with us to work everything out. Even though we picked out most of our music, he took requests and everyone was up and dancing the whole night. We highly recommended him and his wife for any of your DJ needs.

Best DJ & Officiant Ever!

The Best DJ & officiant ever!!!! Ron & Ellen are the best. We booked them for our daughter's destination wedding & they didn't disappoint. We live in Florida & came to TN for our daughter's wedding at 4 Point's Farm. They communicated with us throughout the whole 14 month process of planning. Their wedding song app is amazing to share with family members. It made it very easy to communicate our music selection. I can't say enough about Ron! He is truly a good man. We were in a pinch because the officiant he had booked was running late to the ceremony & Ron stepped in & was the officiant & married our daughter.. and let me tell you... we should have picked him from the beginning! Everyone raved about his beautiful, kind words for the service. My recommendations would be to book him for both the DJ & the officiant! He will not disappoint!

Great DJ, great music!

Smokey Mountain Sounds was the perfect choice to provide the music for our wedding. They were so helpful every step of the way, particularly when we had to reschedule from the original date in mid-March. They did an absolutely stellar job reading the room, playing the music that we liked and even expanding upon it. Everybody had a great time and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs music at their event!!

Kept the party going all night!

Ron and Ellen were amazing to work with. Ron was not only our DJ for the wedding, but our Officiant as well. He made us feel so comfortable, and the ceremony was short and sweet
(just how we wanted). The day ran so smooth and we loved the flow of our reception. We received so many compliments about Ron! You will not regret choosing Smokey Mountain Sounds!

Remarkable DJ - exceeded every expectation of a music guru family!

Ron was an absolute joy to work with- so kind and so considerate. He kept everything simple and easy going. I come from a music-loving family so a DJ was extremely important to us. He had every song we requested (over 100 of those) and made our wedding day that much better! He read the crowd so well and executed the music flawlessly. I 10000/10 recommend this gentleman. He didn’t try to bring attention to himself and elegantly kept the flow of our wedding! Was super responsive and extremely professional. Thank you Ron!!

For us, finding a deejay was actually kind of difficult. We looked around at several before finding Ron and Smokey Mountain Sounds, and we're so glad we did. Ron was extremely easy to work with and made sure to give us everything we wanted for our ceremony and reception! I performed a song for my wife during the reception and Ron made sure to accommodate that with his gear, the setup, etc. He played every song we had listed for him and made sure to announce when events were happening so guests would be aware of what was going on. I've been to weddings with other deejays and can honestly say Ron was the best I've experienced. He knew how to get everybody dancing and create a fun atmosphere, but also knew what was needed and when. Plus, Ron provides everything that other vendors do, but for much less. You really get your money's worth.

This service was very responsive to our requirements, and on short notice. The entire team was professional and easy to work with. On the night of set-up, the DJ arrived early, and was a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to call upon this entertainer again in the future!

Ron deejayed our wedding (both ceremony and reception) on October 28, 2017. He was wonderful from the first time we spoke, right down to the end of our wedding day. He is incredibly personable, and makes sure he knows exactly what you want, and is flexible and accommodating, not to mention affordable. All of our guests had a blast at our reception, which we can credit completely to Ron (okay, and maybe a slight bit to alcohol :) ), but he definitely pays attention to the crowd, and gets everyone up, involved, dancing and having fun. I wish I had pictures of our reception, but they aren't ready yet (I'll add them later if possible). I highly recommend Smokey Mountain Sounds. Call him now!

Ron was wonderful to work with! He met all of our needs, was very professional and made sure we were happy. He went out of his way to meet with us and talk with us on several occasions. Even the day of the wedding, when the groom woke up with the flu, he was flexible and helpful in moving things along at a faster pace than anticipated! Highly recommended!

Ron was absolutely amazing! He knew exactly how to get the crowd pumped up. Our dance floor was full all night long! Ron was also very flexible. About 30 minutes prior to the ceremony I changed where I wanted my walk down song to begin and Ron made it happen just like I wanted it! I was so happy. There was never a dull moment at our wedding! We were told by several people that he was the best DJ they've had at a wedding. He was so amazing, we had to extend our time with him! I loved to hear that and know everyone had a good time, thanks to Ron!

Ron did a wonderful job as DJ at our wedding ceremony and reception. He communicated with us very well, really making sure he understood exactly what we wanted in music preferences, style, and flow. Ron made for the perfect MC, giving our guests information they needed and hosting our dances, games, and the Shoelywed Game. I'm most appreciative to him for making my dads feel comfortable as we had them share the father-daughter dance. He announced each of them and made them both feel special, which left all of us with a really sweet memory. Thank you, Ron! Definitely recommend.

This team was so professional and extremely accommodating. I was able to make changes and additions from the beginning phone call until to the very last song and they were more than happy to help. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in regards to organizing the timeline for the reception. I couldn't have organized it without their help. You will not go wrong using Smokey Mountain Sounds at your wedding or any event you have planned. Ron is very professional and very down to earth. We used Smokey Mountain Sounds for my daughters wedding and they did not miss a beat. The flow was awesome and he did unique things that catered to my daughters wedding that made it as special as she is. They went above and beyond to make her day perfect. Ron was fantastic!! He is so easy to talk to and great at communicating with you throughout the wedding planning process. He gives you papers to fill out that allow you to customize the reception the way you want it and to ensure the songs you want are played. He had everything prepared for the reception and made sure everyone in the wedding party knew what to expect and when. He kept our reception lively and made sure every generation was included. I can't tell you how many compliments we received on how great the reception was because we had such a great DJ.

As soon as we sat down with Ron, we knew we found our DJ! Ron is extremely easy to work with and is always readily available to answer any questions throughout the planning process. DJs play a key role in the flow and feel of the reception, and we could not have found a better fit. From our wedding party introductions to our sparkler send-off and all of our "must have" events in between; Ron kept our night flowing and our guests dancing. We had more fun than we could have imagined, and we cannot thank him enough!

Ron was an excellent DJ. He answered all my questions and had worksheets that made organizing our music selection easy.

On the day of, it rained until a few hours before the ceremony. We had changed the ceremony to be held at the reception site due to the rain, but when it stopped he was more than happy to set up for the ceremony at the original site at a moments notice.

Ron was very personable. He even met with us during our visit to TN just before his own wedding (with family coming into town!). He is funny, friendly and easy to work with. Though we live a great distance away, he regularly communicated with us and everything flowed perfectly on the night of the wedding. He made sure to gauge the evening and touch base with us during the evening to align songs and events with our needs. We loved the shoely-wed game as well. We had a blast, as did our guests. Thanks Ron for all you did to make our celebration a great one!

Ron did a good job at my daughters wedding. Having a DJ is very helpful with keeping the events of a wedding flowing in an orderly fashion and adding a level of entertainment to the event which is hard to beat. He also provided the uplighting at the reception and the music at the church, it was awesome and he was easy to work with, professional and thorough, everyone seemed to enjoy the music!

We couldnt have asked for a better DJ at our wedding reception. He kept the flow of evening moving and had a great/ fun music selection. We would highly recommend him for any of your upcoming events. Thank You so much!!!

Ron was very professional in meeting with us and planning the music for my daughter's wedding. We gave him a variety of artists that Lindsay and Phillip enjoyed and he created the perfect playlist for the ceremony, reception dinner background music and then for the dancing. Our family does not dance a lot but he did a great job in making it fun and kept the evening moving along. Several of our guests have commented also on what a great job he did. Thanks Ron!!

I would recommend Smokey Mountain Sound to anyone that needs a DJ in the area. They were amazing not only with their professionalism but also assisted me with trying to decide what exactly I wanted since we did a non-traditional type of reception. They asked us alot of questions to which helped make my wedding reception amazing! I am thankful they were so easy to work with!!

Smokey Mountain Sounds is a very professional entertainment service provider. The entertainer was upbeat and enthusiastic for our entire wedding. He was able to get the crowd dancing and having fun. He was a great DJ and I would recommend him to anyone in the surrounding areas.

Ron was very professional, responded quickly to emails, and kept the dance floor full. However, I provided a list of songs that I wanted him to play, and songs that I did not want him to play which he totally disregarded. Also, he never announced the garter toss, so it didn't happen. I would recommend him, but I would suggest you are very clear with what you want and do not want.

Unprofessional

Previous family members had used this vendor so when it came time for our wedding we didn't even need to research DJs because they were fantastic for the previous weddings. We really should have done our research!! From the beginning my mother-in-law handled the DJ aspect for us. About a month before the wedding I decided it was time for me to reach out and make specific song selections. Ron was very vague and sent me some paperwork to fill out. I requested that he go check out the venue and make sure he had ample room and outlets in the space. My husband and I decided to go with, and his wife Ellen was there instead. It was at that moment (two weeks before the wedding) we found out Ron had another wedding booked in another state and would not be our DJ. Ellen did an adequate job, but had 3 years experience instead of 30 and was not what we paid for and were expecting. I was very disappointed with the lack of communication from this company while working with them as this was also never mentioned to my mother-in-law in any emails over the time she was in contact with them.
