This is distortion of facts, The fact is that we had no control over the high wind situation and you did not have plan B. How conveniently you forgot to mention that it was extremely windy to have a all fabric outdoor mandap on Nov 12, 2011, the area designated for the mandap was the most ill suited (right next to the escalator, next to the busy street junction where the short wall (sort of railing) of approximately 3ft to 3.5ft could not provide shield from the constant noise of horns and sirens OR the HIGH WINDS which kept knocking down the pipe and drape structures and made it impossible to put the complete mandap structure. Trying to keep the backdrops upright took extra time and effort by means of using 6 heavy duty bases and bricks, metal chairs and caused the delay of half hour only, how did you come up with the loss of 2 hours of reception time? After using all the resources to keep the backdrops straight which was swaying like the sails of a boat, two of us end up holding the pipes from the back to ensure that the structure does not fall during the ceremony despite the unbearable cold and wind (the guests had heaters around them). We did that as a professional courtesy, did not charge you a penny for our services and the extra expenses incurred for your event. Dear Salman and Mehnaz, Hope you both are doing great. Recently I loged on weddingwire after a long time and was really surprised to see the comments on your review since they represent only one sided picture stating distorted facts. it is interesting that after explaining you the facts and offering you pretty good discount, you chose to write distorted version and wrote about things like shade of blue and oriental rug etc which you never mentioned at all during our direct telephone communication. As explained to you before, the only reason of removing the stage items from the ceremony room was because the venue event manager told us that we should remove them beacuse you were done using the stage and will not need it any more. After the ceremony, While waiting to receive the payment from you or your family member during the cocktail hour I met you along with rest of the bridal party just before entering the ceremony room for photo session, therefore I had no reason to believe that your event cordinator was giving wrong information since they have the timeline for the evening and are aware of all the last minute updates. Had I known that you plan to go back to the ceremony room after the reception has already started (typically the bride and groom don't leave the reception hall during the reception for photo session), we would not dismentle stage decor. When I spoke with you after the wedding and explained you the reasons we took down the stage decor after the cocktail hour and your grand entrance for reception, you seemed to understand the circumstances and miscommunication and happy about the discount I offered ( you did say that it was a generous discount and seemed fine with it) but never mentioned a word about the wrong shade of blue and the oriental rug provided then what is the reason to mention it on the review board? When you do not provide the color samples to match up with the centerpieces etc, how do you expect us to match the shade of blue with the flowers provided by other vendors? For good color coordination I don't recommend the brides to have the decor around them in exact same shade of color as their outfit, it is a good thing not to match the decor with the same color as the bride's outfit, however we could have done the right shade of blue for you, had you provided the desired shade to match up with. Sadly you chose to use it as a complain tool without ever mentioning to me directly.
