The Wedding of Our Dreams!

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our ceremony and reception at the Phoenixville Foundry. With flexibility from the J. Scott staff and some help with the weather, we were able to have an outdoor ceremony in late November like we always envisioned. The staff were extremely friendly and professional and Karen really knows how to keep everyone organized and on track to have the perfect evening!

Impeccable, Delicious, Highly Recommend

We cannot say enough about the exceptional experience we had with our wedding caterer. From start to finish, every element was flawless—and that’s saying something, given the scale and complexity of our event.

We hosted 215 guests under an enormous tent, complete with an 11-piece band, three fully stocked bars, a separate cocktail party space, and breathtaking florals—including a massive flower chandelier over the dance floor. Despite the intricacy of the setup, everything unfolded seamlessly.

The food was 5 star. From hors d'oeuvres to dessert, the presentation and quality were impeccable.

The staff was polished, professional, and incredibly attentive, they handled the evening with warmth and precision. The entire venue was styled and managed to perfection.

This was a complicated, high-touch event with countless moving parts, and the caterer executed every detail with masterful precision. We are deeply grateful for their dedication and talent. It was, truly, a night to remember—and they made it magical.

Excellent experience from start to finish!

Karen and the rest of the team blew us away with their attention to detail, attentiveness, and responsiveness. They answered e-mails, helped us with any and all questions, coordinated everything, and just overall made my life easier in the planning process. Our guests couldn't get over how good the food was and how friendly the staff was. The Foundry was gorgeous and created the perfect dramatic backdrop to the day. Highly reccommend!

First Class

Karen and The Foundry were wonderful folks with fantastic service. The gang at The Foundry were first class with special attention to every detail leading up to and during the day of for our wedding! Between the food, service, and presentation, this venue is a 10/10 must visit and consider for your day of.

The food was awesome!

The passed hors d'oeuvres and cocktail hour food was all so creative and perfect for the setting! The salad and dinner food was also phenomenal! The service was so fast and they had such a good system for getting dinner entrees correctly out to everyone so quickly. We got a lot of compliments for the different cocktail hour food options and for entrees! Whether it's on-site or for catering, we would absolutely recommend J Scott!

Best venue and staff ever!

We truly could not be happier that we chose the Phoenixville Foundry for our wedding venue, they met and exceeded all of our expectations! We got married on 10/14 and I cannot say enough great things about the venue and J Scott staff. Ellen was our planner leading up to, and day of the wedding. She did a wonderful job at keeping us on track with our planning, as well as making sure both the rehearsal and wedding day went off without a hitch. Paul was absolutely amazing the day of to make sure the groom and I always had a fresh drink, and that we were enjoying the food. Speaking of food, we had so many guests tell us that was some of the best food they've ever had. The Lo Mein bar was a HUGE hit, we are still hearing about it almost a month later! The bartenders and servers were absolutely amazing, there was never a long line at any of the bars between both cocktail hour and the reception. If I could do all over again I wouldn't change one thing.

Food obsessed

What an amazing caterer! They did my 140 person wedding at The Phoenixville Foundry and every single item was INCREDIBLE!! People are still talking about our appetizers! My planner, Ellen, was the absolute most amazing and helpful person ever! I could not have done it without her guidance and support. She constantly was going above and beyond for us.

Made our day even more perfect!

J. Scott Catering made our wedding day absolutely perfect. We hosted the reception at our private residence and their service was outstanding. I was initially concerned about hosting the celebration at our home, but the team and J. Scott made everything for us effortless and we were able to have the most beautiful day.

Best food and service!

I cannot speak highly enough of J. Scott! We changed our date 4x due to COVID and Scott was present and helpful every step of the way. On the day of our event, he even made sure that he could be there to ensure that things ran smoothly. The food was INCREDIBLE. Wedding food normally is just okay, but wow the presentation and flavors were really amazing. The service was so professional and everything came out hot! J. Scott was so patient with us and answered MANY questions along the way as our guest count and our date changed, and reassured us that we were in good hands. I honestly would recommend them them to anyone, and would choose them again in a heart beat. I felt so calm the day of our wedding because I knew that Caitlin, our day of planner, was on top of everything. If we needed anything, she was there and it was done. Don't think twice, book J. Scott!

Unbelievable! J. Scott made our special day even more special.

A truly outstanding and unbelievable experience from food quality, preparation, display, as well as diligent and outstanding adherence to personal protective equipment and procedures making everyone feeling 100% completely safe and very secure amidst this pandemic era. J. Scott and his team catered our wedding reception at our house. Unbelievable antipasti appetizer spread of the finest Italian meats, cheeses, spreads, salads, bacon wrapped scallops, etc. The dinner of filet mignon, mahi mahi, salads, vegetable medley and pasta selections, were beautiful and delicious. My husband and I had very high expectations and we were not disappointed. J. Scott honestly exceeded our standards which rarely occurs. The food was absolutely delicious and the professionalism of the catering staff was everything we hoped it would be. It was worth every penny! We are looking forward to using this caterer again....on our one year anniversary! Thank you so much Scott for your attention to detail and commitment to excellence. You deserve every compliment in this review, you earned it. You made our very special wedding day even more special!

The team at J Scott Catering has been nothing short of flexible, accommodating, and very easy to work especially during these uncertain times. Rachel, and Scott have answered all our questions along the way, putting us at ease knowing our wedding will happen exactly how we’ve envisioned it. Having your wedding at Springton Manor will enable you to know that regardless of what is going on in the world you have people on your side who want to give you the wedding of your dreams, and they are supportive in all of your decision making. From the beginning of our planning process to now both Scott and Rachel have been extremely easy to work with and we are at ease with putting our wedding day in their hands. Every bride should have a coordinator like Rachel who is always demonstrating calmness, and ease in her words. Rachel was excited and beyond flexible to accommodate all our requests. Perfect Experience with Rachel!

My husband and I got married at the Phoenixville Foundry on February 21st and it was truly a dream! Our coordinator, Rachel, was a delight from start to finish, guiding us every step of the way. She told us that on my wedding day that we would enter as guests and leave as guests, and wouldn’t have to worry about anything that day and she was 100% right, that’s exactly how I felt. I had lots of ideas that I wanted to incorporate into the ceremony and reception and Rachel helped me organize and get me prices from her suppliers very quickly. She was incredibly responsive and helped me keep on track during the planning process. But in the weeks leading up to the wedding she sent detailed time lines and floor plans for me to review and modify as I wanted. The venue and the caterer were both very flexible. On the day of, Rachel and her assistant Charlotte were there to make sure everything was set up, that the ceremony and reception ran smoothly, and that my husband and I had everything we needed!

The whole experience with J.Scott catering was fabulous. Rachel invited us to an open house a few weeks before our food tasting so we had an opportunity to taste a few more items than we would have at our tasting. The menu of appetizer and entrée choices is quite extensive and it was hard to make our final choices – but everything was fantastic. Our guests particularly raved about the cheese board appetizers. The only small issue was that we only provided champagne for the toasts for our parents tables and the champagne was missing from one of the tables, but I was able to alert a sever and the staff very quickly and discreetly provided champagne to the correct table.

I think the thing that speaks the most about our experience with Rachel & J.Scott at the Foundry was my dad, who was skeptical that a day-of coordinator was necessary, said “Thanks goodness for Rachel! We couldn’t have done this without her.” So thank you, Rachel, for making the day perfect for us and for my parents!

My husband and I got married at Radnor Hunt on June 22, 2019 and we had the most amazing, beautiful day and have Rachel Brown and Charlotte McDougall + J.Scott Catering to wholeheartedly thank! Rachel was extremely organized, professional and kind throughout our planning process and on the day. We have no words to describe how amazed we felt. Since the beginning to the end Rachel was exceptional. She is a professional and you can tell by the way how she make you feel calm about the process. She guided us from the beginning to the end and she was great. The food was amazing, starting from the o’dournes, the main courses, the dessert, and finally the late bite. J Scott Catering Is the BEST!

I had my wedding on June14th at Radnor Hunt and I cannot say enough about J Scott Catering and our entire wedding day experience. My now husband and I visited a ton of venues, but after meeting Megan Freeman, seeing the venue, and learning about the food options, it was an easy decision to have our wedding using J Scott. We are SO happy we chose J Scott catering and had an absolute dream wedding. We are “foodies” and the food was absolutely incredible. We have had multiple guests tell us the food was “the best wedding food they have ever had.” The hors d’oeuvres were ridiculously good, and we loved our choice of the filet and the Chilean Sea Bass – even the vegetarian entrée options were great. We also chose to have a donut wall, which was a huge hit and would highly recommend.

We worked with Megan Freeman who was incredible – she was detail-oriented, attentive, and easy to work with. We knew we were in good hands and didn’t have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding. Just one example: We chose to order our own small cake for the wedding day – it was supposed to be delivered to the wedding a few hours before our ceremony. There was a mix-up with the order (my fault, not J Scott’s) and Megan sprung into action right away – she literally had us a wedding cake within an hour… it was incredible and the entire day could not have been more perfect.

During the reception our guests used every inch of the venue – we had some people outside on the deck, some on the dance floor, some in the back rooms, and some out by the firepit. The wedding day, ceremony and reception, exceeded all of my expectations – I would highly recommend J Scott Catering and Radnor Hunt for a wedding.

Excellent Service - Excellent Food

I just got married on 4/26/2019 at Radnor Hunt in Malvern and J. Scott was my caterer. Let me first start by saying, they were super flexible and accommodating in the requests that I had and Megan Freeman who was our main planner was sharp, professional, and easy to work with. She has a ‘get it done’ attitude which was a relieve considering how much planning I was doing on my own! The day of the wedding, the team they brought was excellent. Everything we had specified was executed without flaw. My husband and I had our own personal attendant serving us appetizers and drinks so we could easily mingle with guests and get fed ourselves! The food was fantastic! After, we informally poled our friends and family and the feedback was that people though the food was excellent and loved attending a wedding where there was great food, drinks and music! I would highly recommend J. Scott for their level of professionalism, flexibility, organization, and most of all – good food and friendly / quality staff!

Our Dream Wedding!!!

J Scott Catering is the best of the best!!! From day one, I knew we would be in great hands. The J Scott team is very dedicated to their work- fabulous organization, experienced knowledge and the utmost enthusiasm! Megan Freeman was our lead Event Planner and she is flawless at her job- very timely responses, extremely professional and so fun to work with! We never had to worry because J Scott truly had everything under control! They had beautiful options to choose from when selecting your tables, chairs, table cloths, napkins, dinnerware, etc.- they really know exactly what is needed- trust me, no stone goes unturned, they’ve got you covered! On the day of our wedding the J Scott Team worked very hard to ensure everything went smoothly and exactly as we had discussed- the day was simply perfect! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!! In fact, we still have friends and family talking about the bountiful hors d’oeuvres and delicious entrees! So for all the foodies out there, J Scott totally serves up quality! I would absolutely recommend J Scott to anyone looking to have a wedding that is fun, exactly what you imagined, and stress-free (which I think is all of us!). A Great Experience

We got married at the Patio at Archmere, where J Scott is the only option for catering. What a happy accident! The food from J Scott was phenomenal. They offered a wide variety of types of cuisine - all of which were delicious. Even better, their price per plate was even cheaper than some of the other caterers we looked at for other venues. They were flexible, helping us add and take away some things from their typical package, and working with us to schedule our tasting since we had to come in from out of town. They handled all the day-of planning seamlessly, even bringing my husband and I one of each appetizer when we ended up taking pictures through a lot of the cocktail hour. Throughout the whole process, they were responsive and easy to deal with. Thank you Tessa and J Scott catering for helping our day be perfect!

Our experience was amazing. In the past, I was an event consultant at Greystone Hall in West Chester, PA. J. Scott was one of our preferred caterers. I had experience with them and honestly they were my favorite at that time too. The quality of food, the personal drive of Scott himself as a business owner and the general fluidity and friendliness dealing with their company was always top notch. The guest list at our wedding included several professional pastry chefs and former restaurant owners, so I knew we couldn’t fool anybody with silly over the top catering. They were all foodies! Everyone was impressed and in turn as were we. The entire experience working with J. Scott, including Rachel Brown our ever-steady and organized consultant, was flawless and genuinely contributed to making the day of our wedding the best of our lives! Thank you!

Rachel was our point of contact at J Scott Catering and I can’t say enough positive things about her! At our first meeting, her and Scott just let us talk about our favorite foods and our vision for the day. From there, Rachel proposed a menu for cocktail hour and dinner. She was willing to tweak this menu proposal as many times as needed until it was perfect (which wasn’t many- she hit the nail on the head the first time!). She took phone calls, emails and texts whenever a question would arise. She handled my family with poise when we would come in and tell her our different
visions for the day, and helped us all to compromise based on her knowledge of what works best. The cake, wedding coordinator, and bartenders are included in th J Scott package, so that we’re 3 less things we had to worry about! We had so many people come up to us and tell us that we had the most delicious food at any wedding they’ve ever been to. We ended the night with a cheesesteak grill and it was a huge success! Highly recommend J Scott!

We have a wonderful experience with J. Scott Catering, the food was exceptional, the servers were above and beyond our expectations, and the set ups were first class. We had over 225 people and there was never a line at the bar. Our guests are still talking about the food, the milk and cookies, and of course the cheesesteak grill we had.

Tessa (and Ariane) of J. Scott were truly the glue that held our wedding together. They offered not only delicious, customizable food, but oversaw so many day-of details that helped our wedding day go as smoothly as possible, even with torrential rain in the forecast. Tessa helped get all of our wedding plans ironed out a week in advance so our wedding week was ours to enjoy. Our guests (both vegetarian and non) raved about the food, and we felt attended to all night, with a plate of extra appetizers or a drink never far from our reach. Moreover, J. Scott was respectful of our budget throughout and helped us to understand and anticipate costs throughout the planning process.

J Scott handled the catering for my daughter’s wedding on 11/24/17 at the Phoenixville Foundry. The most important detail of the reception for my daughter was the food and J Scott did not disappoint! Alicia worked very closely with us through multiple iterations of a customized menu which needed to accommodate several vegan and gluten free guests. She was available for countless meetings and was full of helpful suggestions. When she left for maternity leave, Jessica stepped right in and we did not miss a beat. And we were lucky enough to have BOTH ladies present at the reception! The food was executed flawlessly, including a custom-made signature drink involving fresh herbs and brewed tea. We heard nothing but compliments on the food from our guests. They were so impressed with the complexity of the menu and how well it was executed. Not to be overlooked was the OUTSTANDING service of the waitstaff and bar tenders. Everyone was professional and unobtrusive. It was perfect. I would absolutely recommend J Scott!!

A huge thank you to Jessica, Alicia, and the staff at J Scott catering for doing an amazing job on our wedding day! The food was superb, many of our guest commented that it was the best food that they had ever had at a wedding, and some of them made a point to take business cards before they left. The Manor House At Springton Farm is a beautiful and versatile venue to host any celebration.

J. Scott Catering's expertise in creating an amazing party to celebrate our son Michael and wife Jess's recent wedding made it easy to plan.

The team could not have been more gracious, accommodating and fun to work with. Alicia, Jess and Jessica were always nearby making sure everything ran smoothly. The chefs, servers, bartender, golfcart tour guide and security supervisor were all amazing.
Everyone was so impressed with the food, presentation and beautiful ambiance you provided. Springton Manor is the perfect venue for any event. The large tent afforded everyone a beautiful view of the fields with barn and animals in the distance. The historic house is beautiful. We added photographs and personal touches to make it uniquely our own celebration.

The dessert table was set up in the dining room under the chandelier in front of the large fireplace. With the votive candles and pedestal stands, it was stunning.

Lawn games were a big hit and the golf cart tours around the beautiful grounds were memorable for everyone. The grounds are perfect for the Treasure Hunt I planned.

Our friends and family had a wonderful time, thanks to J. Scott Catering and their team.

I admit that I was super nervous about booking a caterer before tasting them, but I had fallen in love with the Phoenixville foundry so I had to just go on faith. Well J Scott did not disappoint. Alicia was super helpful in helping me make a custom menu to accommodate our two different cultures. Their food was perfectly prepared and they were able to accommodate family recopies. We did a family style dinner that was executed perfectly and I heard nothing but great reviews from my guests. Alicia was always available to answer questions and was super helpful when I had more idea's than I knew what to do with. The servers were perfect and accommodated the wedding party, making sure that myself and my now husband got to enjoy the food while we were being good hosts. Everything was perfect!

Our experience with J Scott Catering was exceptional. They helped make my daughters special wedding day in and reception in November a classy and comfortable event for 183 guests.

J. Scott provided us with an exquisite menu for our big day. Everything from the appetizers to the soup to the main courses was delicious. I can honestly say it was some of the best wedding food I have ever had. Everything was prepared fresh and was so delicious! There was not a bite of food left anywhere in our venue at the end of the night, everyone loved their dinner! The staff working with J.Scott was also amazing. Our coordinator Alicia went above and beyond while we made choices on food, linens and serving ware, and make the whole process very simple and straightforward for us. Amy Spacht was a great help from the beginning stages to the very last minute. I never felt like that stressed out bride that everyone always said they were or have experienced before. If I did not have J.Scott catering helping with details, timelines, etc. I just may have been that bride, but they were extremely helpful and made the process so smooth and painless. I can't even imagine how my daughter's wedding could have been more perfect. My daughter and son-in-law live overseas so much of the planning was done with Alicia via email. So many perfectly executed details and such a beautiful venue. Our guests absolutely raved about the food. With most caterers, I would be a little hesitant to order filet mignon for a large number of people. But after our tasting we were absolutely confident that J.Scott Catering could pull it off...and they did. The other entrees were equally delicious. The venue itself is beautiful and tranquil. We were so lucky to enjoy a wonderful fall day filled with lovely foliage, goats and sheep watching us from the pasture below, lawn games after the wedding and fire pits to cap off a terrific day and evening. I would absolutely recommend Springton Manor for anyone looking for an outdoor venue. They have a great back-up plan in case of inclement weather, so there was no hesitation on our part for booking late in October. Great venue, staff and service!

There aren't enough nice things to say about J. Scott. We got married at Springton Manor Farm, which might be the most beautiful place I have ever seen. If you are going for a barn/outdoor wedding theme, this is the only place you should look. The manor house itself is exactly how it would have looked 100 plus years ago. There are still pictures hanging on the mantels, the carpet is vintage, the bridal suite has a claw foot tub and beautiful victorian furniture. The tent is HUGE and gorgeous. It comfortably fit a massive dance floor, 10 piece band and 130 guests. While sticker shock was something we definitely experienced with this venue, especially with the market lights, it was well worth it (get the lights, they are incredible). The food was delicious and there was TONS of options to choose from when we did our tasting. Finally, our planner Rachel Brown was amazing. She was tentative, patient and answered all of our questions so quickly and thoroughly. She listened to all of my crazy DIY projects and created the most beautiful atmosphere for us. I would definitely recommend working with J. Scott.

My fiancé and I were compelled to write a review not only for J. Scott Catering but for Spencer, our event planner. When we first saw Springton Manor we absolutely fell in love with the venue, so much so that we booked the next day! What J. Scott has to offer at that location (and others in Greater Philadelphia) is second to none. The package they offered us came very organized and laid out extremely well, giving you the option to pick and choose any additional features that allow them to make your day extra special. We were most excited for the fire pits as we planned on having an October Wedding. Unfortunately, a very peculiar circumstance arose a few weeks after we booked our Wedding with J. Scott, one which involved us having to change our date and venue. As soon as we found out about this situation we immediately called Spencer. Spencer went into action helping us anyway he possibly could. In the end we had to let them know we could not use their services any longer, which was a big letdown for us. In this instance any other company likely would have taken advantage of the circumstances without blinking an eye. Scott and Spencer contacted us right away and gave us our deposit back. We were so grateful to them for understanding our unique scenario. They truly are in this business for all the right reasons. In this day and age that is almost unheard of to receive such great customer service. Although my fiancé and I will not be using J. Scott Catering or Spencer (the best event planner there is), I would highly recommend using their services. They are nothing but true professionals and an absolute delight to work with. We hope to work with them in another capacity in the future.

I cannot lavish enough praise on J. Scott Catering. From the very beginning, the service we received from them was unparalleled. From the tour of the venue (Radnor Hunt) to the tasting and planning meeting and finally through the day of the wedding, they made us feel so special and taken care of. Not only is their food delicious (just ask any of our guests), but their aesthetic presentation is breathtaking and elegant. They were so accommodating and supportive throughout the planning process. They truly listened to us and what we envisioned our wedding would be and they made it happen. Rachel, in particular, was amazing. She was with us the day of the wedding, and quite frankly, we don't know what we'd do without her. Even our guests noticed how helpful she was. Amy and the staff of J.Scott Catering were absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding day at the Phoenixville Foundry. From the start it was obvious that Amy wanted to be a part of our day and made every effort to work with our budget and expectations. She was thorough, extremely friendly, and kept everything on task. The food was phenomenal at both the tasting and event itself. It's definitely a worry that when you do the tasting, scaling the food up won't result in the same delicious experience. That was not the case at all. The food at our reception tasted even better than I remembered, and I made sure to eat all of it!!! The servers and bartenders were so friendly and kept telling me and my new husband throughout the night how much they were enjoying working our event. Amy kept the show moving without a hitch, and I could not have asked for a better wedding. Everyone wants a perfect day, and mine was perfect times ten. J. Scott Catering did not disappoint! From the first email I sent to the last, they always responded promptly and were so easy to work with. We had our tasting and were blown away – the food was absolutely delicious! Food was one of the biggest priorities for our wedding, and we knew J. Scott Catering was the perfect fit. Then came the wedding day. The original plan was to have an outdoor ceremony and tented reception. Due to rain in the forecast, we got a tent for the ceremony & cocktail hour. Well, it just so happened to absolutely downpour for a solid 5-6 hours on our wedding day, so you can imagine how muddy and slippery things were. Unbeknownst to me, there was a massive stream of water running through our reception tent while the vendors were trying to set up. Did this phase J. Scott Catering? Absolutely not! I have no clue how they did it, but when we walked into the tent after cocktail hour, everything looked absolutely perfect. The conditions for a caterer were far from perfect after getting that much rain, but somehow J. Scott Catering pulled off our dream wedding. Guests are still raving about how amazing the food was, and thought the service was exceptional. We especially loved how every person at a table got served at the exact same time – so classy!

We couldn’t have been happier with J. Scott Catering and can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond to make our wedding day the best day ever!

We were fortunate to use J.Scott for our wedding this past weekend. To say it was amazing was an understatement! From beginning to end, the service was professional and fun. We were able to sample the entire meal and FULL samples. We ate like kings at our tasting. Danielle made it easy and fun for us during the entire process. She helped with the biggest details down to the ones we would have forgotten. Coming from a background in event planning myself, she definitely exceeded my expectations and let me enjoy the process.
The wedding was incredible. The food was RAVED about all night by our guests. They also set up our entire venue and made our vision come to life. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and patience dealing with our crazy requests and meltdowns.

After a sudden need to change venues for my son's wedding -- J.Scott Catering immediately came to the rescue. J-Scott Catering was our caterer of choice for our BIG day on October 4th, 2014. Kristen and team made the entire planning process incredibly enjoyable and stress-free from day one to wedding day! They supplied the most perfect props and made sure every last detail of our wedding was flawless!
From appetizers to main courses, the food was impeccable. We were blown away by the creativity and taste in each bite (and so were our guests)!

From start to finish they offer support, guidance and experience at every step of this memorable event. My husband and I had a very clear vision for our wedding and with the help of J. Scott Catering we were able to sit back and relax on our big day, knowing that every detail would be seen to with care. If you are looking for the full package, J. Scott Catering delivers 100%.

Having worked in catering, the food was a particularly important part of our wedding. The executive chef’s menus were unique and offered us many options. Having a winter wedding, we opted for the legendary (among our guests at least) braised short ribs and mustard crusted salmon fillet. Attention was paid not only to the taste but to the appearance of each dish, even down to the passed hors d’oeuvre plates, dressed with our wedding colors. They focused on making our wedding unique to us and not just pumping out the cookie cutter packages offered by so many other caterers.

J. Scott has a great bar setup, with skilled bartenders who mix drinks with speed and precision; essential for a group of 175 thirsty guests. There was hardly ever a line and with a dedicated bridal party attendant, my husband and I along with immediate family and those in the bridal party, never had to wait for anything.

The day ran so smoothly, without a single hitch, thanks to the wonderful team at J. Scott Catering. Our goal was to enjoy our wedding and from the moment we started planning to the last guest left, it was more than we could have ever hoped for.

Overall, J. Scott Catering provided great service for our wedding. The food was excellent. They had a diverse selection to choose from and were able to make a custom appetizer for us. We liked that the choices weren't typical wedding food. They really listened to their clients and tailor the menu to your tastes. The staff was courteous, prompt, and professional. Working with Kristen was a big help. It was nice that they had a wedding planner on staff to help things run smoothly. The only issue was they sent the wrong china and linens the day of the wedding. However, we called Kristen and she was able to fix the situation that morning. I would strongly recommend J. Scott to a friend.

J. Scott was hands down worth every penny. Simply put, they made my wedding an incredible, magical event. We worked with Kristen, who was on the ball about everything, responsive to all of my questions and really put me at ease. She and her team made our wedding day stress-free, she didn't bother us with questions about every little detail (but of course checked with us in the event something had to change). Everyone raved about the food and the service. The service to our VIP crowd (bridal party and close family) was amazing and beyond all expectations. As the bride, I never had to go to the bar, our VIP waiter made sure I (and the rest of the VIP group) had enough food/drinks no matter where I was. Kristen is so enthusiastic and really cares about your event going well. J. Scott is not just a catering company, they become your event coordinator by making sure all other vendors are on the same timeline, deliveries are on schedule, and nothing goes wrong. Halfway through our event, Kristen noticed we were running out of a type of beer and went and secured another case for us - and that's really just one example. Those sorts of things are really what take an event to the next level. I really can't rave enough about J. Scott, if I ever plan another event in the Philadelphia area I would absolutely go with them again!

We were so incredibly pleased with J. Scott Catering for our wedding! We could've have asked for better service. From the moment we met Scott, we knew we'd be in good hands. He was very professional and organized in his presentation of the quality of their work. We were initially set up with one of his associates but partway through planning, a new associate was assigned to us when the first had to leave for personal matters - this transition was very smooth and we really enjoyed working with both women. Kristen G. was such a pleasure to work with - she was so enthusiastic about every aspect of planning our wedding and always made us feel like we were in good hands. Everything went really smoothly the day of the wedding! The food was amazing (actually better than it was for our tasting) - especially the filet of beef - it was cooked to perfection and we got so many rave reviews! The bartenders did a great job and there were waiters that were dedicated to ensuring that my husband and I always had a drink in our hands - the same was true for our parents. We were all very impressed. I think the best part about the night was when we surprised our guests with a cheesesteak grill at the end of the reception - I think an already great wedding was made legendary at that point. We still here about how excited everyone was with the late night cheesesteaks. You can't go wrong with the J. Scott team handling your wedding - they ensure that all your vendors have everything they need and that everything throughout the night runs smoothly.

This was the second wedding we have used J. Scott for the catering. Both times the food was excellent. We received many compliments from our guests. This wedding was a buffet and the display of the food for the wedding "barbecue" was incredible, not your typical display. The staff was also very accommodating when the morning of the event we decided to move the ceremony inside due to the heat. They flipped the room during cocktails. I would highly recommend J. Scott for a wedding or any other event.

J Scott Catering was fantastic! They were very professional,in all aspects of their business. E mails were answered promptly. They offered many food options and were more than willing to customize our menu. We had a few people with severe allergies and they accomadated them and also some special menu requests.
Some guest comments included; the meals for the entire table arrived at once, and they were hot, there was plenty of food, loved the hor d'orves, waitstaff were professional and pleasant.
Kristen and Scott were great.
I would definately recommend J Scott Catering .

Scott, You and your staff are the best. Every parent's dream is to have the perfect wedding for their daughter. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, it did. You helped to make Gina and Andy's reception at the Foundry something none of us will ever forget. Your staff was exceptional and service superb. It was fun to watch the line of servers bringing food to each table and unvieling every beautifully plated entree at the same time. The bar tenders were great, friendly and professional. And all of the food was delicious for the tongue and the eyes. All we can say is "Thank you, thank you, thank you." A wonderful couple couple and J Scott, perfect together.

I cannot thank J Scott enough for the phenomenal job they did with our wedding. The food was absolutely exquisite! My family and our guests concurred and still rave about the beef fillet! As if that weren't enough, Scott really took the time and showed great interest in making our event special. We knew where we needed to be budget wise and Scott was right there with us. We changed a few things on him and he was more than accomodating, not to mention extrememly quick to respond to our requests. I recently had one of the best nights of my life, celebrating my parents' ruby anniversary at the Blue Ball Barn in Wilmington. J Scott catered this event and helped to make the evening virtually flawless. The team at JScott turned the venue into an upscale elegant place with the decor.
The owner personally came to our venue to help us brainstorm the layout and flow of the evening and was responsive to our many email inquiries leading up to the event.
One of the best parts of my experience with this vendor, was the professional and personal staff that made our event success. From helping to fluff out out pomander balls before it started to serving gorgeous food to assisting us with loading the cars at the end, this team will go the extra mile for you.

Note: this is an update to a previous post. I'd worked with JScott a year ago, and wanted to update my review of this vendor based on the positive changes the company has made.

We had a great experience with J. Scott Catering! We had some unique ideas about the menu for our wedding and J. Scott worked with us through the kinks in order to make our meal fantastic. We received a lot of compliments on the food throughout the night. Dawn was great to work with through the planning process. She was patient and flexible. She was willing to help us execute some of the homemade details that we included (like setting up and lighting luminaries outside the venue). The night of the wedding, Dawn and the J. Scott team made sure our timeline ran on (and in our case ahead!) of schedule. Dawn made sure that the bridal party was taken care of through the meal and that we always had enough food and drink! I would highly recommend J. Scott!

I HIGHLY recommend using J Scott Catering. Dawn was our coordinator and she was fantastic to work with. From day one of working with her she listened to everything I wanted/needed and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of my wedding. My mom had an accident a week before my wedding and was in a wheel chair for the wedding. Dawn took care of her and made sure she felt comfertable the entire night. I was also told by my guests that they were sooo impressed with the staff and how well the service was.

The food was also amazing. We had no regrets and were so glad we went with J Scott!

J Scott was absolutely wonderful through out the entire process of our wedding!

J Scott catering exceeded my expectations! From service over the phone, to service at our wedding! The food was DELICIOUS! They handled everything from the food to all the rental supplies (chairs, tables, linens, glassware, silverware, etc!) It was perfect!!

I honestly couldn't have asked for anything better for our special day!!

This past October, my daughter had her wedding reception at Radnor Hunt in Malvern. It was catered by J. Scott Catering of Malvern. The grounds around Radnor Hunt are beautiful especially in the fall. I cannot say enough good things about J. Scott Catering. The food was very good, the servers were professional and pleasant, and the rooms looked warm and inviting. I had one minor concern at the reception. After talking with the person in charge, it was quickly rectified in a calm and pleasant manner. Leading up to the wedding, communication between us and J. Scott Catering was good. There were no surprises with the billing. Even though they have been catering for years and planning weddings is an everyday event, they made us feel our wedding was special.

My husband and I had our reception at the Phoenixville Foundry and you need to choose from a caterer on their list. We looked at and met with 4 different caterers off that list. From the first day that I reached out to J Scott Catering I was impressed. They took the time to talk to me on the phone and explain what they provide and different services and packages that they offer. I ended that conversation with direction and knowledge about what I was about to enter into. Another caterer simply said that they would email me a menu. My husband wanted to check out the other caterers just to make sure we were making the right decision. Three other caterers later, we were ready to make our decision. We did our homework, we talked about ideas, prices and got an overall feel for each other caterer and we were sold on J Scott Catering. The planning process was so easy,they were quick with responding to emails and answering SO many of our questions. The dinner service was impeccable! The presentation was like, as one of my guests described, " like an upscale NYC resturant." Their waitstaff was so attentive to all our guests and especially to my husband and I. The waitstaff took care of me and my husband from the moment our reception started until the end. The appetizers were wonderful and unique and there were plenty for all our 185 guests. In addition to the food, you need to make sure that the caterer fits your style and matches the reception to your personalities. Our guests were "wow'ed" all night. Their bars are awesome!They have these really awesome black bars that are classy and are really a statement piece!The bartenders were fast, polite and they knew what they were doing!!I promise that if you go with J Scott Catering, your wedding day will be everything that you imagined and all your guests will have a fabulous time.I could go on and on! Thank you for helping to make Leigh and Joe’s wedding and reception incredible.
We initially contacted J. Scott Catering after learning that you were chosen by the Phoenixville Foundry for their opening gala. When we met with you and Amanda Dowds, we felt that you understood what we were looking for. We found it was easy to plan the reception with Amanda; she was both receptive and responsive to our questions and concerns. The table settings were exactly what Leigh had in mind. The room was elegant but not stuffy.
Amanda was proactive in many areas like contacting the band and photographer to arrange food service for them. She gently reminded us along the way of all the things we needed to decide. Her advice was priceless.
You and your staff worked in harmony with the other vendors, some of whom you were meeting for the first time.
On the day of the wedding, everything was in place. Both you and Amanda were on site to make sure everything went smoothly. The hors d’oeuvre stations were beautiful and the food divine. The servers who passed around the hors d’oeuvres and drinks were professional, anticipating the needs of our guests.
When it was time for dinner, the wait staff served everyone at the same table at exactly the same time in a very professional manner. The filet and salmon were cooked perfectly. Many of our guests remarked at the quality of the food and the difficulty of serving 230 guests in such a short time for a sit down dinner.
At each stage of the event, you and Amanda facilitated the stage seamlessly.
In the end, we could not have suggested anything that would have made the wedding or reception better. I would highly recommend your company to anyone planning an event. You helped make it an night we will never forget.

Super guy. Hands on all the way. Delicious food and great staff.

We didn't have a wedding planner. You don't need one. These people guide you all the way. Scott even send a representative to our rehearsal.

My husband posted a review, but I want to add my 2cents. Our daughter had her wedding at Phoenixville Foundry on Jan. 21st. From our first meeting with Scott, we were excited. I was interested in him as soon as I learned of his time with Inn at Little Washington! He did not disappoint. We had almost a year of planning. Every e-mail was immediately answered. Every request honored. Scott handled our event himself and was hands on all the way. From the tasting to selecting fabric and chair cushions, we had a blast. On the day of the wedding I saw Scott bustling around the Foundry. He lit candles and saw to every detail. I even spotted him during cocktail hour moving containers of flowers from the ceremony room to the reception area so they could be enjoyed the entire evening. The bar area had extras we hadn't asked for - a nice (and beautiful) surprise. Food was 5-star, beautifully presented, hot and delicious. We had a double entree and I ate every bite. The servers swept the table with effortless perfection. Needless to say we are so pleased with the entire experience. Scott came through for us and we appreciate so much all his hard work. Worth every penny. Thank you to Scott and his great team!

J. Scott Catering is the best of the best when it comes to caterers in the Delaware Valley. I've worked with quite a few different caterers in the last five years professionally; but there was absolutely no question who would be taking care of me for our wedding reception.
Let's start with the staff: Scott is a pleasure to work with - he is prompt in responding to questions and emails, he is always willing to work with you to fit a budget, and he truly goes above and beyond what you would normally expect from a caterer. Other members of his team that I interacted with (Juls, Jenny, Rose, Joe, Joanie, etc.) were always friendly, professional, willing to help, and courteous (example: one of the youngest attendees at our wedding loved the chicken satay passed hors d'oeuvre and she dropped hers on the ground, much to her disappointment. Within moments, one of the servers had rushed inside, got a new one and brought it out specifically for her - I heard about this story from no less than four guests). Bartenders were outgoing and able to mix up anything we requested.
Food: The food is fantastic. We had a nice mix for our guests of passed hors d'oeuvres; bruschetta, duck potstickers, chicken satay, beef teriyaki, mini quesadillas, southwest spring rolls (the potstickers were a real hit). Loved the cheese plate and the mini desserts were flying off the table the moment they landed.
Decor: Scott helped with the event rentals and flowers - you wouldn't think that rental tables and chairs could be terribly exciting, but the whole venue looked amazing.
They really know how to pull together a wonderful party. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

From the first meeting with J Scott, everything was perfect! He was always available & prompt to replies. Scott worked within our budget and was understanding regarding payment. My guest are continually raving about the decor and freshness of the menu. The wait staff was wonderfully patient, especially with a few inebriated guest. When we set our wedding date, one of our first call was to Scott. Having used J. Scott Catering several times in the past, we knew that Scott would provide food and service that was exceptional.
Scott went above and beyond in his professionalism and service. Both my husband and I have busy schedules, so we were difficult to meet with at times. Scott always accomodated us, often consulting via phone or email. Every question about every tiny detail was answered within 24 hours, and came with reccommmendations.
Even having known Scott for many years, he still made planning this event special for us. He was flexible about the menu and had suggestions for each of our requests. Our guests still rave about the food at our wedding!
Scott, however, helped beyond just catering in our planning. He provided us with names for vendors who were in tune with our vision for our wedding day. Our wedding day was truly one of the most magical days of my life. A lot of the visual memories of that day come thanks to Scott.

The J Scott Catering team did a phenomenal job with our wedding. Our coordinator, Marcel, was very attentive and full of great suggestions. He listened to what we had envisioned and delivered to the fullest. Trying to plan a wedding from two plus hours away can be a bit challenging at times, but Marcel did his best to minimize any additional effort from us. He was very accommodating with scheduling (even when we showed up a bit late to the tasting due to traffic). Never once did he make it about him- always put the emphasis on us and "our day".

The food at the reception was AMAZING- we got so many compliments! Not only did everything taste great, but the presentation was spot on. We highly recommend Marcel and the JScott Catering team for any special events. Cheers!

After seeing only two pictures of Radnor Hunt, I knew it was the exact location I was looking for. And J. Scott Catering came with it. What a relief not to have to spend time looking for another caterer! Our coordinator, Nicole, was incredible. Our personalities clicked, and she was so much fun to plan with! She always had an answer for my questions, was extremely creative, made great suggestions, and worked with us not only price, but on the menu, as well. The chef used one of my favorite recipes for one of the hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour!! We opted for a station set-up versus sit-down, and the guests had so much fun making their own sliders, Chinese take-away, and quesadillas!

I would never hesitate to call J. Scott for any other even I wanted catered. To this day, almost a year later, our friends and family still comment on the fun they had at our wedding. Thanks to Scott and everyone who made it an absolutely perfect day!!

I have to tell you my search like any bride's began looking all all prospects available for my venue Phoenixville Foundry. I happened to have one day in particular my mom and I were out scouting. I had an appointment with Scott and I was running late. I had called to say I was going to be a half hour late and apologized, & offered to reschedule due to my tardiness. Scott asked me: "Will meeting at a later date possibly influence your time you have for decision making?' And I replied honestly, that it might. Scott immediately said he's rearrange his day to accommodate my still coming to meet him. We pulled in and were floored by our welcome we received...a parking spot reserved for me with my name on it. I'm sure all bride's get that, but still I loved it. We were impressed already. Scott was extremely down to earth and very honest. At the end of our meeting he offered a tasting if we were truly undecided between him and someone else. By far it was obvious this man knew how to do business & wanted ours.

Now I can say, I know every bride does her research. And so you should. When the cost of the catering is 50-70% of the cost of the wedding and can cost tens of thousands of dollars, you should be certain on your selection. Knowing this, and given the fact our savings is what was paying for our wedding, when I saw on Scott's site, his other places he's worked and school he's attended, I made some calls. I got positive feedback from both places. I also contacted Best of Main Line as he'd been voted "best of", finding out that Scott was very well respected in the industry & was the preferred caterer for Radnor Hunt Club.

At the tasting, my parents, husband and I sat down and were blown away by the presentation. Scott did not stay in the room while we discussed things, and his food was magnificent. Upon speaking to Scott, he mentioned that during these economic times, he may put in more hours and have to work a little harder, but in the end he felt he'd come out ahead. We knew we wanted to give him our business for sure.

Scott was extremely prompt in every question I had and made sure I felt important on his list, no matter how far off our wedding was. Even a week prior when I handed him a 20 page play by play briefing of the day...he never looked at me like I was a crackhead. (No doubt he & his assistant had to be thinking it :-) I may have portrayed the qualities of a nutcase getting closer to the big day.

The day went flawlessly! Scott was battling strep throat and ended up having to leave a little before he wanted to. We never knew he was gone, that's how great his team was. I had lists of every single thing that needed to make it back home for us, and his staff was 100% on top of it. I was missing nothing. The food was ravishing & portions were generous! We had chicken cordon bleu & filet. At our tasting, he offered to have the duet of both as a option for guests also. I just had to indicate selections on peoples cards. We got many compliments on every thing on the menu. I even had centerpieces that required his staff to turn on the battery operated lights, and when I walked in the room it was perfect.

I can honestly say Scott & his team 1000% executed my vision. For all the time & energy he put into my big day, I only wish I had posted my review sooner for him to show my appreciation. However, three months later, as promised, I am here writing. I'd be happy to elaborate more, but I haven't left out much. Contact Scott for my information if needed.

J Scott Catering made my parents, my husband and myself feel completely at ease from the beginning. We went to a tasting that they offered at the Philopatrian, one of their wedding venues. It was amazing!

We quickly booked them for our wedding on June 20, 2009...and are so glad that we dd. Our guests raved about many aspects of the wedding, but none so much as the food! It was delicious...perfectly prepared, and the service was fantastic.

One of the many things I loved about working with J Scott was their new wedding packages, everything from signature cocktail down to the truffles on the table was included, and everything was divine!

I have worked with Scott for a few years in my professional career, and would turn to no one else for the most important day of our lives... I will continue to reccomend him to anyone and everyone... especially those that feel that food is just as important as your wedding dress, and that ensuring your wedding guests have an excellent meal is part of the big picture! Let's face it...there's nothing worse than eating a gray piece of steak with wilted veggies!

My guests are still raving about the food at our wedding. And I have an Italian family who is hard to impress! Not only was the food great, but Scott and his assistant, Nicole, were great to work with. They were fun and always accomodating. I highly recommend J. Scott Catering!

Our event coordinator was Nicole Sigda. We knew which of their many venues we wanted our event at prior to the first meeting at the location with Nicole. We were planning a small wedding and service with about 5 months lead time. After the first meeting and tour of the location we breathed a sigh of relief that it was possible to have a tasteful event without a year of planning. Nicole gave us recommendations for many vendors that were reasonably priced, professional and wonderful to work with. They included the photographer, florist and hotel.

While I am a relatively organized person, I had never planned any type of event before and was a bit nervous. Nicole was available to answer any questions about setup, timing, vendors, anything. It was great to have a sounding board when needed or suggestions where we didn't know how to handle certain details. Everyone at J Scott worked well with vendors (location, bartenders, DJ, bakery) and officiant they had not met before. You do not feel obligated to use anyone that they recommend.

Our guests have been extremely complimentary of our wedding. Despite some major rain, Radnor Hunt was beautiful. Our guests enjoyed all of the food and evening, they never had to step outside once they entered. I was also able to get ready with my bridal party at the location which was very convenient even in perfect weather.

All of Nicole's staff the day of the wedding were friendly and professional. Everything ran on schedule. I missed a lot of the details like favors, place cards as the bride. It's been nice to see now in my photographs how nicely they had arranged everything. I would not hesitate to recommend J Scott and Nicole for any type of event. Our wedding definitely exceeded our expectations.

My fiancé and I decided on a two year engagement so that we would have plenty of time to prepare. It ended up we got wrapped up with work and next thing you know we only had a little less than a year and nothing started. I researched different caterers in the Chester County area and kept seeing
J Scott Catering. I figured I would give them a call to get some information. Next thing you know, what I thought was going to be an absolute endless task, I had not only food recommendations but contacts for location, bands, florists, etc.

Immediately, J Scott Catering wanted to set up a consultation with Don (my fiancé) and I to understand who we are and what we were looking for on the most important day of our lives. They took our vision and ran with it OVER AND ABOVE what we had ever dreamed of. Unfortunately, Don and I were on a specific budget but wanted an exceptional wedding that no one would forget. Again, J Scott over achieved and our guests are still raving. From each individual hors doeuvre to our four course meal, it was like the prepared each and every single piece for each of my guests. Outstanding attention to detail, impeccable service and overall MASTERS!

The staff that worked our event were friendly and caring yet professional and patient (especially with uncle bill- who only wanted one specific drink throughout dinner) and just went above and beyond the call of just working another wedding. They made sure to personally say congratulations to Don and I and seemed as though they were generally happy to be there and working together. I cant tell you enough how honored I am to say that I was able to have J Scott Catering on my wedding day. They eased all of my concerns and questions through out the entire process, even by taking care of: all the rentals we needed, cake, flowers, venue, candles and more!

Thumbs up, Hats off, Five Stars doesnt even touch J SCOTT CATERING! Thank you

Amazing food!!!! From the appetizers to the dinner we were extremely pleased. He offers an amazing tasting which I highly recommend where you go and sit down and sample so many things! He was flexible with last minute changes and just created a wonderful meal to go with the tone of the evening.
