Cutest little cake shop!

So I live in Wylie, so when i saw that we had this cake shop, i knew i had to go in and see what they had! OMG y'all they have the best cake! I got a vanilla bean cupcake to try and my fiance and i just loved it!!! So we knew they were for us. They are so incredibly sweet in there, and explained how everything goes and has made cake tasting more fun than I imagined.

I LOVE their cakes (and cupcakes)! All of our guests absolutely loved our cake (both how it looked and tasted). We also had a groom's cake with the top designed as an Texas A&M Aggie ring and it was perfect.

I cannot say enough how AMAZING of a job Say it With Sugar did for my husband and I's wedding cakes!!! They were not only beautiful, but delicious!! Our wedding cake and groom's cake was everything we could have asked for and more! They were awesome to work with and super helpful and creative in helping to design my husband's grooms cake! They helped make everything he likes fit into a single cake that we will remember forever! They were also prompt and professional! We still get compliments to this day on both of our cakes! Highly recommend them for every special occasion! Cannot wait to use them again!

The custom coloring, like tye dye, was perfectly done and the cake tasted and amazing and the cake sampling was very fun!

No other cake shape would make the cake is wanted, Say it with sugar came through. My cake was amazing. It was exactly what I asked for and more. Flavors were amazing and the fillings were just as wonderful. My cake was so elegant.

I work in the wedding industry as a photographer, and have worked with Say it With Sugar on many weddings over the years, as well as having ordered many cakes from them for our own personal events as well. When it came time to plan my own daughter's wedding, there was no other bakery we even considered for their wedding cake. Since we were already familiar with their cakes from years of being customers, we didn't do a cake tasting with them. Instead, we took the design idea to the bakery and ordered it in less than 1 hour (a 3 tier rough edge rustic cake with flower details between the layers). We ordered the cake with white chocolate cake and cookies and cream filling. Holy moly, it was delicious! In fact, it makes my mouth water just sitting here thinking about it again! All of our guests commented on how fantastic the cake tasted.

We got our wedding cake from here last weekend and it was a HIT! The baker set with us to get to know us and exactly what we wanted! They were patient with all the pictures that I had and ideas. They were able to take everything I wanted and tie it all together in two fabulous and gorgeous cakes! And, since we paid cash, we get our top layer for free next year on our anniversary!

I would highly recommend Say It With Sugar if you are looking for a reasonably priced bakery that specializes in beautiful and tasty cakes! We received many compliments on our cake, and were very pleased with the results.

Can we say YUMMM!!! I absolutely LOVED my cake. Say it with Sugar has delicious cakes and are reasonable priced. I love that they primarily use buttercream for frosting, rather than fondant. They were great at accommodating all my needs at a short notice. They made sure that I was getting the right amount of cake for the cheapest price, without having to worry about not having enough. They were very sweet and the cake was fresh. I would recommend them to anyone with cake or cupcake needs! I can't wait to have another piece of my cake :)

We chose a three tier cake for our wedding. Each tier was a different flavor which was awesome since we couldn't decide on just one. They were very accomodating with our wants and wishes. Maybe a little on the expensive side, but overall, the cake was beautiful and delicious!

Say it with sugar was a breeze to work with! They were great with all of the small details that we requested for both our wedding cake and grooms cake. Both cakes tasted better than I imagined and was noticed by all of our guests! I am extremely happy that we chose to go with them!

THE CAKE IS AMAZING!! I cannot tell you how many guests I saw at our wedding eating MULTIPLE pieces of cake, and how many asked me where the cake came from. Even several of my other wedding vendors (who go to weddings all the time) were amazed at how wonderful the cake was and asked me where I got it. You won’t be disappointed with Say it With Sugar!

Say It With Sugar is the best choice for cake shops in the north DFW area! We had a wedding cake and a groom's cake, and they not only looked phenomenal, but tasted delicious too! We received lots of compliments from our guests at how surprised they were that our cakes were actually moist - apparently our guests had encountered a lot of beautiful but dry wedding cakes in the past and ours surpassed their expectations.

Pricing was also reasonable and we hired an assistant from the shop to attend our wedding and actually cut and help distribute cake to guests. She was very professional and did a great job helping us during the reception!

They also do cake-tastings and in addition to cakes, the shop also sells cupcakes and other baked dessert items... if you stop in, you must try one of their wildly delicious cupcakes! Every time we are in the area we stop in for a cupcake. Highly recommended for all of their services!

The most amazing cake I have ever tasted!!! From the time we walked in the door for our cake tasting till even now (of course I still want more cake after the wedding!) they have been amazing with everything. Friendly, professional, and just plain amazing! The cake is the best I have ever tasted and the prices are fair. Everyone at the wedding thought it was the best tasting cake they had ever had!

This small cake shop in wylie is easy to miss but hard to forget once you've found it. For cakes that your guests will love and rave about, go no further than Say it with Sugar! Whether you want a traditional and beautiful cake or a fun a kooky one (like I got), they can do it all. They have a massive variety to choose from and can really make whatever your mind can think up (one of my cakes was Pirate and Ninja themed). Friendly and very well priced. Make sure to order well in advance though. This small cake shop has been busting with business as more and more people find out about it. Don't miss out on these amazing cakes!

My cakes were delicious and beautifully designed. They were exactly what I wanted. Also, they made my favors which were mango flavored petit fours. They were delicious! Everybody loved them. They also boxed these up for us and brought them to the venue with the cake. My friends and I buy cakes here for all our birthdays now.

The cakes from Say it with Sugar tasted delicious and was very moist. We barely had any cake leftover. They were one of the few bakeries who had a cream that tasted like the Bailey’s liquor and had great ideas for the groom’s cake. They are not afraid of a challenge and love new ideas. When the wedding cake was short on lace, they called me so I was aware but reassured me they had fixed it. When I saw it, you couldn’t tell there was anything wrong with it.

Say it With Sugar did exactly what we had asked for our wedding cake and grooms cake and it was delicious! They even decorated the cake for us. We just had to provide the flowers and it was so gorgeous! This place is amazing and did not cost us an arm and a leg!

Cake was beautiful! A little upsetting as a bride to receive a phone call on your wedding day that they lost your cake details and "don't remember what should be in each tier."

The cake was tasty and delivered on time with no problems. It was a great price and the guests loved it. The only thing I wasn't sold on is that it didn't look as good as the one I picked out. It looked similar but wasn't the quality of the one I was shown.

The food was absolutely delicious. All kinds of choices for cake type and fillings. Do a fantastic job if you are looking for delicate piping detail. However they are very popular and busy so they don't do the best job of remembering their customers and all their details.

Recently had Say It With Sugar make our wedding cake (10-20-2012). I had never tasted any of their cakes but had heard many recommendations for them when I began the wedding cake search and decided to put total faith in them for my wedding. The cake tasting was amazing and I instantly fell in love! So moist and delicious and granted I'm really not a big cake fan. They catered to me, a picky, yet undecided bride and completely came through on my big day! When I left the ceremony I was so nervous that all my guest were already crowding into the reception and possibly seeing a horrible cake or no cake at all. When I arrived I rushed into view the BEAUTIFUL cake, brought me to tears! Everyone asked where it was from and said it was so yummy! Satisfied BRIDE! Highly recommended!

Our guests are still talking about how great the cake was a month later - it's that good! We couldn't have picked a better bakery to make both our bridal cake and our groom's cake; both were beautiful and delicious.

The only reason I gave them one star is because if you send them an email, they won't reply or notify you they received it because they're so busy. I tried to set up an initial cake testing via email and was never contacted. We only heard from them when we stopped by their bakery.

Had used Say It With Sugar in the past and had been pleased with everything up until my wedding experience. Overall, staff was very unprofessional and made the process of scheduling/booking the cake for my wedding a difficult one. This was especially true when attempting to pay the remaining balance for the cake. I am sure that another negative review will not matter to the owners, as this bakery is constantly busy and has long lines of customers waiting. I was actually surprised when I saw some negative reviews, especially ones about the owners yelling at customers and being rude when there was a problem, but now I can truly believe it. If I hadn't been so crunched for time before my wedding, I would have gladly taken my business anywhere else for my wedding cake. I guess this is what happens when business owners forget the basic principals of customer service and making customers happy.

The bow melted off the front of my cake. When I let them know how disappointed we were, all they had to say was that they told us not to bring out the cake until an hour before we cut it. I don't recall a single person telling me this.

Unwelcomed by Owners

First of all, I had to drive to the establishment, because after 7 calls that I placed, I received a busy signal. That was the first red flag. But, I decided to go in person despite this.
I went in today, as a new customer excited to have a custom cake made for my child's birthday. I waited patiently while one of the owners, the man, had a LENGTHY conversation with a customer about everything, including hair. After the customer left, I was the only customer there. Neither owner spoke or welcomed me in to the establishment. The male owner placed a flavor list on a counter in front of me, and stated, "here is the flavor list", and walked away. There were multiple opportunities to say something to me. But, it didn't happen. It was awkward considering i was the only customer there. I felt ignored. I provided the following feedback to a representative to give to the owners that when a customer comes in, especially if it's the only one and it's not busy, at least speak to acknowledge the customer. Just in case this feedback wasn't communicated to the owners, I'm communicating it here. There is a review of this location that is eerily similar to mines that from the same race. From the looks of it, the owners only speak/talk to customers of a certain color.

If I'm treated as if I'm invisible and unwelcome, guess what, my business and money will be too.

I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again and neither will my friends, family, huge social media following, nor my company. Well, I'm off to spread the word about my experience. If I could give 0
stars, I would.

I used to think that this place was the go to place but when it comes down to making sure their customers are taken care of they completely drop the ball. We have ordered multiple items from here in the past and both times that we have ordered cakes they both have shifted by the time they got the the destination. The first time it was for our wedding that was delivered by y'all and the most recent time was my daughters 1st birthday over the weekend that my wife brought home. Just the same I spoke to Trey 6/19 as there was no one to help me Saturday or Sunday and as a manager he is not very capable of conflict resolution and definitely forgot that he is in a customer service business. I am truly glad that the Kroger bakery in Rockwall could help us out on such a short notice to still get a unicorn smash cake for my daughters birthday party.

Here you'll see our wedding cake at an obvious tilt. This was the one they delivered. We honestly thought it had to be a fluke. And then the unicorn smash cake that completely separated from the bottom inch of cake and melted down into itself during the 32 minute drive home on a flat surface with AC blasting on the coldest setting. But as Trey says, both of these are clearly our (the customers') fault. Seems logical.

This business no longer cares about their customers. I have been buying from them for 5 years. Last year they did my wedding cake was told with my order I would get an anniversary cake since you can't freeze their cake. Two people the day of the order told me, my mom and my fiance we would get a small version of our wedding cake. Called after the wedding asking if we were suppose to get something for the anniversary cake. Nope we keep records don't worry. Called to put the order in and they said no you should have gotten a certificate. The manager was rude and unprofessional. I have seen this once great place getting worse every year. It really is a shame. And I'm not the only one this has happened to.
