Our best day ever with Sarma!

We are beyond grateful for the incredible work Sarma did for both our engagement shoot and our wedding day. Her photos are genuinely wholesome and beautifully captured who we are as a couple — nothing felt staged or forced, just real moments full of joy, love, and excitement.

From the very beginning, she made us feel completely reassured. She guided us through every step of the process with calm confidence and kindness, which took so much pressure off during an otherwise busy time. On the wedding day itself, she blended professionalism with warmth, helping us feel relaxed and present while she worked her magic behind the camera.

Amazing photos & such a pleasure to work with

Sarma did engagement and wedding photos for our June 4th wedding that started as an 80-person backyard and then last minute turned into a 15-person microwedding. Sarma was wonderful to work with, supportive & flexible through the whole process. She helped us figure out photos and our timeline when we made the switch to microwedding. And we loved our photos at the end of it! Plus, she took a bunch of pics of our dog because she knew we'd want them. 100% recommend - Sarma is the absolute best!

Wonderful experience working with Sarma!

We worked with Sarma for our snowy February wedding and we have nothing but the best things to say about our experience. Working with Sarma leading up to and the day of our wedding was wonderful. Minimony Celebration

Sarma photographed our 'minimony' after our original wedding was postponed due to COVID. We were blown away by the moments and emotion that she was able to capture. We had such a blast looking through all the photos. Great lighting and framing as well. She was so flexible in making our small celebration work, and we are thrilled that we have so much captured in pictures. We can't wait to hopefully have her also photograph our big wedding next year!

Our personalities shine in Sarma's gorgeous photos!

Sarma is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but a deeply warm, kind, and empathetic individual. After seeing some of her images, and after talking with her on the phone, we knew we wanted to work together. She is incredibly creative and enthusiastic about her work. Every picture she takes she makes sure the personality of the individual comes through - it is what we love most about our engagement and wedding photos.
Like so many others, our big wedding was cancelled due to COVID-19. When we pivoted to a small wedding with just family, we knew we still wanted Sarma to be there to capture it and she was so flexible and professional about the whole process. She really helped make an otherwise stressful time really easy and enjoyable. We keep receiving so many compliments about our photos and we are continually blown away every time we look at them. Sarma was a joy to work with and brought her positive attitude, amazing energy, and incredible calmness to our day.

We love Sarma!!

We LOVED working with Sarma!! She is a true professional- she takes incredibly beautiful photos, is so well organized, quick, and efficient!!! From our first call, Sarma immediately understood (and fully got behind!) our vision. She beautifully executed taking all of the photographs and made it quite painless and easy! We LOVE our wedding pix- Sarma made sure to get all of the portraits/group shots and managed to capture some awesome candids! Sarma and her team miraculously managed to wrangle the bridal party (and our flower girl and ring bearer!) for some awesome group pix. Sarma also gave us an incredible gift of a video she so generously took of a special break out song/dance by our friends and family (our contract was only for photographs but Sarma appreciated how special this surprise was and captured it all on video for us!!). Sarma was a dream to work with and we LOVE our wedding photos!!! Thank you Sarma!!!

A dream to work with! Beautiful photos and calming professionalism

Sarma and Allison were an absolute dream to work with. Not only were they professional, sweet and non-intrusive but their calming personas were exactly what you would hope for. Such a joy to work with Sarma and with everlasting results!

Sarma & Co was listed on our venue's (Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa) referral list and immediately stood out to us as the style of photography that we wanted to have for our wedding. We did not want the overly posed photos that seem to be so common but instead wanted more natural and candid images. I also loved that her images are saturated, either in color or black and white. I felt like a lot of other wedding photographer’s photos almost seemed hazy. Hers are crisp and timeless. Sarma was immediately responsive in sending additional information and setting up a call to learn more about us and what we were looking for from our photographer. On that call, she also asked us about our other vendors and ending up recommending our wedding florist, Athabold, who executed our “natural elegance” style of florals perfectly.

Our package included engagement photos and when the day came, the weather was not cooperating so Sarma recommended that we delay the photos to the following weekend. We are not used to having our picture taken, particularly in public as part of a photoshoot but Sarma was so easy to be around and took the pressure off us so that we ended up having a great. We received our engagement photos shortly after and were so happy with the results, they were the right mix of portrait shots and just us walking around our neighborhood in the city.

Sarma and her second photographer, Kathryn, were also wonderful on the day of our wedding. They arrived exactly at the time they said they would and immediately got to work. Our wedding day flew by and wasn’t without its minor stresses but Sarma and Kathryn were calm throughout. Their attention to detail and being able to be in the right spot and the right time is incredible. I had no idea that they were behind me as I saw my now mother-in-law for the first time after putting on my dress right before the ceremony. The emotion that was in that moment, and now in the photos that we have is priceless. We loved being able to see the details of our wedding that we weren’t able to soak in the day of including the set up of our ceremony site and the décor throughout the cocktail and reception tents. Sarma has photographed weddings at Buttermilk numerous times and this was helpful since she knew the property. We wanted our first look to be as private as possible and Sarma knew right away where to take those photos. I also hardly noticed them throughout the reception, they blended in seamlessly (even on the dance floor!) and we ended up with special photos from throughout the evening.

We received our handful of preview images within a couple of days of the wedding and while excited to see the rest, I was perfectly content to wait to receive our wedding photos since I didn’t want them to be rushed. But, just shy of a month following our wedding I received an email from Sarma with the photos. And thoughtfully sent on a Friday afternoon so as to not be too distracting during the workweek!

For anybody looking to hire a photographer in the NYC/Hudson Valley area, we cannot recommend Sarma & Co enough. Sarma is the perfect mix of easygoing yet the utmost professional who helped us to document our wedding day flawlessly. Thank you!

The best decision we made

We had Sarma & Co. Photography capture the moments of our September wedding in Middletown, CT and it was the best decision we made. Sarma and her crew are not only a joy to be around, but their amazing photography skills allow us to re-live the best day of our lives. It is completely evident they love what they do, and it was an absolute pleasure having them capture our special moments. They photographed my cousins wedding (also in CT), and we knew they had to film our day too! Just by seeing them smile behind the camera, you know they are loving these moments just as much as you are! Incredible photos and attitude, even in 100+ degree weather!

Sarma was an absolute joy to work with! She came highly recommended by friends of ours and hiring her was one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding process. Her expertise in this field is clear and we felt completely reassured by her experience and calm demeanor at every step of our wedding process. Our wedding was on one of the hottest days on record this year but she and her assistant handled all of the time outside like the consummate professionals they are, they were also very flexible when we decided to move the ceremony indoors at the last minute. Sarma’s work is beautiful- she has a very artistic eye, and the documentary style was exactly what we wanted. Nothing felt “cheesy” or overly posed. My wife and I couldn’t be happier and I know we will treasure our wedding photos forever.

Best Wedding Day Experience

Sarma was such a wonderful photographer to work with. From our engagement photos to our wedding day, she led us to the most amazing pictures with such ease and confidence. Her and Jessica work wonderfully together to create beautiful, elegant, tasteful pictures. We never felt rushed but they were both very efficient and knew exactly where and how to take the best pictures. I would highly recommend Sarma to anyone who is looking for a photographer. Beautiful photos!

Working with Sarma was wonderful! From our first conversation, she put me at ease. She traveled to Boston to take our engagement photos, timing it with a family trip to the area, saving us from traveling down to New York. She even brought us hand warmers to deal with the freezing cold! She stuck it out with us for 2 hours in 20 degree weather and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. That completely translated to our wedding day. I love that she wasn't in our face getting photos, yet she got all the shots we wanted. Our photos are beautiful and we couldn't be more pleased!

My wife, Megan, and I worked with Sarma after our venue, The Garrison, recommended her---and boy are we glad we chose her! Sarma was an absolute joy to work with, from the first phone call we had in order to just get acquainted down to the last minute of the reception. Sarma truly captured the essence of our special day, using an unobtrusive, photojournalistic approach. She and her assistant were timely, curtueous, and fun. Sarma is organized, detailed, and plans ahead---and it all pays off for making the photo-taking part of the wedding day (the notoriously stressful part of the day) an easy and fun experience. One of our favorite moments of the wedding day was going with Sarma to a few select locations on The Garrison's property to take some couples protraits---she and her assistant put us at ease and encouraged us to just live in the moment of having just become huband and wife. Sarma's familiarity with The Garrison was an additional benefit, and we had no reservations simply putting our trust in her excellent, artistic eye. Sarma is THE BEST! We had a style in mind so portfolio was important but beyond that we also wanted a photographer that we connected with personally and had LGBTQ wedding experience. We immediately connected with Sarma’s work. Upon reaching out we immediately found her to be amazing to work with. She’s super organized and helpful and patient with my millions of questions. Before hiring her she even sent us the forms she has couples fill in prior to the wedding to see her process and I have to say she was the only person with forms where I didn’t have to cross out “groom”. That went a long way with me!

When it came time to plan our engagement session I have to say myself and my new wife were not at all helpful with giving her a good place to shoot it at. We just picked generic places but it was Sarma who helped us to find something more creative and fitting for us. Our photos came out amazing! We have some framed on the walls.

She shoots at our venue a lot so when we had some anxiety inducing last minute changes with the venue staff Sarma even helped us through that. She really went the extra mile to calm me and help find out information since she knows the venue so well.

Come the wedding day everything was great! Sarma and Jennifer were super helpful and photographed in a way that you don’t know they’re there. For posed shots they were very patient with our big families. We had a rainy day and they had no problem getting a little wet for photos. I also had an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction and my dress decided to stop supporting the girls and they even gave me the heads up when I needed to adjust. I was super sensitive about it all night so I really appreciated their help in that department.

I can’t speak highly enough of Sarma and Co.. We have only received some teaser images but I have no doubt that when we receive everything it will be amazing!

Sarma is the perfect blend of being incredibly talented and just a wonderful person. From the moment we met her, we felt incredibly comfortable. Sarma & Co was incredible throughout our wedding process all the way from contract to engagement to cutting the cake! To be honest I am not sure the wedding would have happened at all as planned were it not for Sarma and her second photographer Sarah. They knew where we had to be and when, while simultaneously keeping us relaxed and on-time. Throughout the ceremony and reception they were like some kind of ninja-ghosts that we didn't even know were there as they documented the event, captured all the shots we wanted without any guidance, and ultimately delivered incredible art despite a dark and candlelit venue. We found Sarma by perusing albums at venues in the Hudson Valley where she often works and saw that she was clearly superior to her competition - but we were thrilled with her work for us in NYC. If you want a warm, professional, energetic, skilled photographer with an eye for the moments you will cherish forever, then don't hesitate to book Sarma and Co!

Sarma brought a special kind of professionalism, enthusiasm and warmth to our wedding experience. She provided us with a unique mix of traditional, candid and illustrative photos of our engagement shoot and wedding day.
After the original date for our engagement shoot was rained out, we quickly re-scheduled and Sarma helped us find a great location, which she quickly adapted to during her very first shoot there.
For our big day, Sarma did her due diligence and became familiar with the wedding venue. The questionnaire she provided before the wedding helped us prepare and outline all the family and friends that we wanted to be involved. Sarma and her assistant both made us very comfortable throughout the day and encouraged a natural, relaxed environment that produced many candid photos. She has a great eye for capturing many special moments that feature lots of emotion.

What is there to say about Sarma that hasn't already been said? She is able to capture a moment in time for you to hold on to, and I will forever be grateful for that. I knew I wanted Sarma to photograph my wedding before I was engaged. She had worked with many of my friends, and I knew I'd be in great hands. From our first call, I knew I made the right choice.

My husband hates getting his picture taken, and at the end of the wedding he specifically thanked Sarma for making the experience so easy for him. She and her team work seamlessly and unobtrusively, so you don't even notice them on your wedding day. But most importantly, Sarma is a genuine and kind person that is easy to be around (which is clutch when you're getting dressed in the same room!). My mom fell ill the day after our wedding, and Sarma send me a picture of us from the wedding and send the pictures in case my mom could see them before she passed away. There are no words to express how thankful I am to Sarma for capturing my wedding day.

Sarma and Jessica were a dream come true from the start. Kind and attentive, excited for us and our wedding day, consummate professionals and so knowledgeable. Sarma was responsive and helpful with all of our questions and made the whole experience easy. Day of, they were so wonderful to work with! Never rushed, always calm which kept us calm. They smiled and interacted with everyone like old friends. We just got our pictures back and they are SO STUNNING I tear up when I look at them. We all look so natural. They captured the day as it truly happened. We didn't hire a videographer, but it turns out we didn't need one. Sarma's pictures were better than video. We had an incredible experience working with Sarma for our wedding and couldn’t overstate how happy we were to have hired her. We shot three separate events with her, our engagement session about a year before our wedding, the rehearsal dinner, and the wedding. Amazing photographers, so wonderful to work with! From the first time I contacted Sarma, she was extremely responsive and professional. Jessica did our engagement pictures, and she made us so comfortable and the session was so much fun. On the day of, Sarma and Jessica were very timely and captured every single moment beautifully. Everyone loved working with them. They kept the portrait session right on schedule while being so relaxed, warm, and fun to be around. They were very discreet during the ceremony and reception; we didn't even realize they were there. We received our photos in a very timely fashion and we are absolutely thrilled with how they came out. We just got married in June and could not be happier with our pictures and the services provided by Sarma and Jessica! Sarma is so easy to work with and has an innate ability to capture all those perfect moments on your wedding day. After meeting with a few other photographers my sister (whose getting married 10/1/16) and I met with Sarma and we both left the meeting knowing she was the one. My husband and I can’t say enough great things about our experience with Sarma. First of all, we absolutely love our photos! They are truly classic, timeless and beautiful! We found Sarma through a recommendation, and after viewing her work and her website were very excited to meet her. We weren’t let down! From start to finish she was the consummate professional, and such a pleasure to work with. She was incredibly thoughtful and detailed about every aspect of the process, and went out of her way to get to know us and our preferences, as well as our family and bridal party relationships, which translated into many amazing shots. Sarma was very organized and always available if we had questions, making every step along the way completely stress-free. On our wedding day, we got every single shot we wanted (and many more!) without feeling rushed in the least, and she and Jessica were able to get fantastic shots of our guests and venue without anyone seeming to know they were there! Just as important, Sarma and Jessica are genuinely very nice people who made sure we enjoyed every second of our day and made us feel completely at ease! Choosing a photographer was one of the most important decisions of our wedding planning. I enlisted my bridesmaids, family and fiancé for endless feedback. When I spoke with Sarma, I knew it would be a great fit. When I made the decision, it was without hesitation. Not only are the photos absolutely amazing, but Sarma and Jessica were so fun to work with! I have looked at my photos at least 2-3 times per day since they came in. Sarma is amazing and was a key part in making our wedding day really special. She started by doing an awesome walk-through of the area with us a few weeks before which was both inspiring and extremely helpful. We had a total plan going in, and then when the day came, taking the pre-wedding pictures was one of the most relaxing, fun and special parts of our day. She is a true pro, and exactly the kind of person that you want to work with on your special day. The pictures are great and the extra touches and attention to details really made everything that much better.

We had a great experience with Sarma & Co. at our welcome party and wedding in Beacon in April 2016. We don't particularly like having our photo taken, but we felt very comfortable with her and her assistants, Jessica and Sarah. Their enthusiasm for their profession is so genuine—we knew we could trust them. Sarma has a great attitude and was very professional and patient, especially with our family and guests. We chose her because we felt her portfolio was lively and really captured celebration—and the photos we received certainly do that and more. She delivered faster than we expected, and we are so happy with them! Thank you, Sarma!

Sarma and Jessica did an amazing job taking the photos for our December wedding at Highlands Country Club. They made us feel so comfortable from the beginning, even through pre-wedding planning. Sarma’s experience at Highlands helped her to shoot our wedding from the perfect angles, and she found the prettiest spots for our portraits. Their photos are so romantic and natural looking and they really captured the joy of our big day.

Sarma was absolutely wonderful to work with, start to finish. My husband and I selected Sarma to photograph our day because her work was unlike anything else I was coming across in my search. She captures real, candid, beautiful moments, and limits her "posed" shots, which is exactly what I wanted. She was so flexible and easy to work with. She listened to my thoughts and ideas, was responsive, and gave her feedback. She had wonderful ideas that fit in perfectly with my vision. She was behind the scenes on the day of- never in the way or noticeable, but somehow was still able to capture some of my most treasured moments. Sarma & Co. was recommended to us by four couples, friends of ours who all had their wedding photographs taken by Sarma and all had amazing things to say about her. We were told that by the end of the day Sarma will feel like a part of your family, they could not have been more right. She has such a lovely personality and was so enthusiastic and easy to work with. We preferred candid over posed pictures and had asked to see her as little as possible throughout the day. The only time I remember seeing her was for the portraits, but when our pictures came back they looked as if she had been front and center the whole time. Sarma and Jessica seamlessly photographed our day exactly how we had asked, capturing our favorite moments as well as so many we didn’t even see happening. We had quite a complicated day with lots of moving parts. We had 9 bridesmaids, 9 Groomsmen, and 10 ring bearers/flower girls. We rode on a trolley, in a sailboat (Sarma came with us!), and had a very windy outside reception. Despite all of these challenges they handled everything flawlessly. Sarma and Jessica worked brilliantly together, capturing the same moments from different angles. I felt so comfortable in their hands that I almost forgot they were there. I am very thankful Sarma & Co. was recommended to us and I can’t thank Sarma & Co. enough for giving us the most beautiful and timeless pictures. Highly recommended!!!!!!

I recently had Sarma & Co. as my wedding photographer and I cannot say enough good things about the her work. Over the past few years both of my older sisters used Sarma, as well, and at this point she and her associate Jess are like a part of our family. When it came to planning our dream wedding, one thing I knew for certain is that we HAD to have Sarma & Co. photograph our special day. She had photographed my sister's wedding 6 years earlier and captured the most beautiful moments from an unforgettable day and of course, she delivered with the same poise, professionalism and expertise! I was lucky enough to have a sister get married only 9 months before my husband and I did. With that came a slew of suggested vendors. Sarma (and her assistant Jessica) were the only ones that we chose out of that suggested list and it was a no-brainer. Sarma has become part of our family after documenting the 2 weddings and we couldn't have pictured the day without her. She was so easy to work with pre-wedding, and made the wedding day SO seamless. I had multiple bridesmaids tell me (unsolicited) how amazing my photographer was because she was so quick and got all of the right formal pictures. Now that we actually have the pictures, not only did she get the right formal shots, but captured all of the best moments of the ceremony and reception (tears and all) as well as pulled us out of the reception at just the right time to take a few more pictures with a beautiful sunset behind us. We wouldn't change a thing and will definitely be requesting Sarma's services for all of our future special occasions.

My wife and I had an exceptional experience with Sarma and Co photographing our wedding. The process was clearly laid out and they took all of our desires into account. They were supportive throughout the planning and on-site and got unbelievable shots without intruding on the celebration. If you have the opportunity, we HIGHLY recommend having two of their photographers on-site, as they were able to capture twice as many angles of special shots (e.g. bride's gorgeous entrance and groom's teary-eyed reaction at the same time, same-level shots of dancing among the guests and simultaneous bird's eye view of all the partying from above, etc.). Sarma and Co gave us memories and photos to last a lifetime. We couldn't be happier with the way our albums turned out and recommend Sarma and Co without hesitation to anyone looking for kind, professional and talented wedding photographers.

We were recommended Sarma & Co by friends in a magazine's art department. They told us Sarma was the best and they were totally right! We really loved Sarma & Co so much. They added so much to our wedding day. They were a positive presence throughout the planning, the wedding itself, and the aftermath. They were always there if we had a question or suggestion. I have heard horror stories from friends about how rude and pushy their photographers were, or controlling about portraits or what is "standard." Sarma & Co have their own style, which is more documentary and candid than posed, but they were happy to take direction and plan for what shots mattered most to us. From the moment that my now husband and I sat down to meet with Sarma, we both knew she was extremely professional, passionate, creative and a perfect personality match to work with us on our wedding day.

Sarma was great to work with during our engagement photo shoot and our photos turned out beautiful.

Sarma was extremely responsive to all e-mails prior to our wedding day (something that every stressed out bride to be REALLY appreciates) and was so helpful in putting together our wedding day timeline and photo list. She took the time to visit our venue and walk through the grounds with us to help plot out ideal places to take photos. On the morning of our wedding day we woke to POURING rain that did not let up all day. The moment Sarma arrived at my parents' house she immediately put me at ease. Since our first view was supposed to be on a beach, Sarma provided alternative ideas and helping me to stay positive and calm. She suggested a first view on the trolley that we were using as transportation for the bridal party. It turned out to be an amazing and creative idea - the photos truly captured the happiness and excitement we were both feeling at that time. Throughout the wedding, other than when taking posed photos (that still look so natural and not at all cheesy) we hardly knew that Sarma and her assistant, Jessica, were present. They were so professional even our band commented on how great they are! The highlight show that Sarma provides you with is beautiful and so much fun to share with friends and family.

The photos from our wedding truly capture how magical the day was. The best part was receiving our photos and looking back at all the moments we were unable to witness during the craze of the wedding. We couldn't stop smiling while looking through them and felt like we were reliving our wedding all over again.

We are so glad that we booked Sarma for our engagement and wedding photos. She was so warm and easy to work with and made both of us feel completely at ease in front of the camera, which was no small task, I'm sure. On our wedding day, she and her assistant were calm and confident in wrangling all of the people we needed for portraits, and flexible in dealing with 40 MPH winds and a very squirmy (but adorable) toddler. Once the ceremony started, we sort of forgot they were even there, that's how well they were able to blend into the background and get the shots we wanted. When we saw our photos, we were so happy. They're beautiful and everyone looks natural and happy and relaxed. We'd highly recommend Sarma and Co. to anyone in need of a photographer

During our wedding planning process, several people told us the photographer is one of the most important vendors you select. Not only do they produce one of the few tangible items you take away from this significant life event that passes so quickly for the bride and groom that it feels like it's over in just a matter of minutes, they are also one of the few people you will work with throughout the entire day. After meeting with a handful of photographers, I knew within the first few minutes I spoke with Sarma that she would be the right photographer for us to work with on our big day. While her photo samples online are beautiful, it is also easy to talk to her and she covered important details before we even asked her.

Beyond the level of comfort we felt with Sarma and her ability to put us at ease during our engagement session and the day of our wedding, her photos from our engagement, rehearsal and wedding are absolutely gorgeous. Many of our friends and family members have commented on how well the true emotion people experienced during the wedding events show through in the photos. I recommend Sarma to anyone looking for a photographer. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Sarma for our engagement photos and our wedding. Neither my husband or I like to be the center of attention or have our pictures taken, so we were nervous at first. But after meeting Sarma in person, she really made us feel at ease and like a good friend. Throughout the engagement session she would show us pictures as she was taking them, just to assure us that they were coming out well. (We had no doubt in her skills, just ours!) We had our dog with us for the engagement session as well, and Sarma was fantastic working with him in all his energy, and getting wonderful shots.

Throughout the months in between that and the wedding, Sarma was always available to answer any and all of my questions, no matter how ridiculous they were! As the big day got closer, she was able to make a timeline so I did not have to worry about that. And of course I was running late on our wedding day, but Sarma and Jessica were so relaxed and made things work and we were not rushed at all.

When we got our photos I was so pleased, because there was such a great balance of photos. Sarma did so great in directing us for our posed photos, but they were still natural, and directing our family for the traditional photos. And yet the rest of the time, it was like she and her assistant were not even there. And yet they got all the perfect photos. Memories that we will cherish forever. I could not be happier with having hired Sarma & Co. Photography for our engagement photos and our wedding!!

Hands down a great photographer! Sarma was so pleasant to work with. You can tell she really loves what she does and is excited to capture your special moments and freeze them in time forever. All of our guests commented on how it was as if the photographers weren't even there because they were never in the way, yet they did not miss a thing, capturing every crazy moment on the dance floor. The pricing is on the higher side, but it reflects the quality of the services provided, and Sarma was willing to customize our package to fit more within our budget. Sara and Sarma were a dream come true. They captured each and every moment of our wedding day through their phenomenal photography style and technique. As all brides experience, there is so much to think about and worry about while planning a wedding. And searching for the right photographers can be time consuming and stressful. Working with Sara and Sarma for our wedding was a great experience. From our first meeting, through the wedding day, and afterward they have been extremely easy to work with and professional. They offered a variety of packages to fit our needs and were able to customize based on our requests. We particularly like their simple, artsy style with traditional photographs mixed in. We got married in Glen Cove, Long Island and Sarma made a trip out before the date to go over the venue and discuss where we would like certain shots taken.

On the big day, they were excellent; capturing candid and formal moments while not interfering with the day's events. They helped put everyone at ease and made the day go smoothly.

I cannot say enough about Sara and Sarma, they were incredible! Last November they photographed my brother-in-law's wedding and not only did the pictures from the wedding come out great, but the relationship they built with everyone was beyond impressive. The day of our wedding even seemed to be special for Sara and Sarma because they knew half the family already - an aspect that was priceless for us. Sara and Sarma were genuinely interested and involved in the planning and execution of the day and it all went perfect. We had so much fun with them through the process too! I love my pictures and want to thank Sara and Sarma for being a part of such a special day for me, my husband and our families.

We could not have been more pleased with the work done by Sara & Sarma. They were very professional with everything leading up to the wedding and the actual event. They were extremely organized and well-prepared when it came to getting the important pictures (family, friends, cake, dances, etc) and it really showed in the final results.

We happened to have a mix-up with our limo service (this had nothing to do with the photographers) for the wedding and did not get to go to some of the places we would've liked to take pictures. However, Sara & Sarma were able to get a lot of wonderful shots with the limited settings. Given that situation, we really couldn't have asked for more.

One thing that should be said is that they really made the effort to find out what types of pictures we were looking for (lots of candids, a large group shot, etc) and really delivered on our requests.

They really understood how important this day was and did a wonderful job in capturing it. Fantastic quality pictures.

Also, they were really pleasant and very easy to work with. It may sound silly but when you take hundreds of photos in one day, it makes a big difference working with such nice people.

Sara and Sarma were wonderful. They were such a huge help on the day of the wedding. We didn't have a wedding planner so they really helped us stay on schedule and took care of a lot of little details. They were such a pleasure to be around. The photos are absolutely perfect! They captured our special day beautifully. All of our friends and family are in awe of the photos. We highly recommend using Sara and Sarma!!

One of the main things we decided to put extra money into was our pictures and we do not regret it one bit! What you get is what you pay for and what we got was exceptional service, beautiful pictures, and the utmost professionalism from Sara and Sarma. Their remarkable creativity shows in every picture they took. If you are like us and have heard horror stories about people not liking there wedding pictures, then Sara and Sarma is the way to go we did not worry about a thing on the day of the wedding. Hands down the best decision we made! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Sara & Sarma were wonderful to work with. They created unique pictures and really captured the beauty of our setting. As a couple who was not completely comfortable in front of the camera they did a fantastic job of making us relaxed and getting some great candid shots. All of our guests commented on how you didn't even know they were there, they just blended in and made the day even more special.

Sara and Sarma were great. My husband and I met with them early on and were very pleased with their packages and professionalism. We had looked at a few other photographers beforehand but felt that other companies were too big. We wanted to know our photographers and their styles before the wedding and with big photo companies, a lot of times, you don't know who gets assigned to your wedding until closer to the day of. With Sara and Sarma, you knew that they were the ones that would be there that day. They are flexible and willing to travel. We asked them to stay later than originally planned and they were great with it. We would highly recommend them to anyone!

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Sara & Sarma. From the moment we met them they were both outgoing, friendly, responsive and enthusiastic about documenting our wedding day. We were lucky enough to first work with them during our engagement shoot-- my husband and I were both nervous about posing for photos and looking natural, but they immediately put us at ease. By the time we got to the wedding, it felt like we were working with friends. They also take time to meet prior to the wedding to discuss key shots, locations and people, so that none of that needs to be discussed on the wedding day and they are off and running independently. Half the time I didn't even realize they were around at the wedding, as they were very unobtrusive, but when I got back the photos I was amazed at all the special moments they captured. They work in tandem capturing a different perspective of the same moment, which truly made our photos unique. I highly recommend Sara & Sarma photography for any couple--you will be in very capable hands.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having Sara and Sarma to photograph our wedding a year ago in October. The photographer is the most important consideration for any wedding as they alone capture so many of the memorable moments. Simply put, they did an absolutely fantastic job. Sara and Sarma were reliable, accommodating, energetic, friendly, and professional. It was like having two more guests at the wedding to share the day with. In looking at the pictures after the wedding, we really got to experience many of the moments we missed and relive it through our photographs. I was actually amazed at how they managed to capture so much of the action with such expression. When it comes to photographers you get what you pay for. They are reasonably priced and worth every cent! I would highly recommend Sara and Sarma to anybody looking for the perfect photographer. It's one more thing you can scratch off your long list of wedding tasks and you won't be sorry!

Sara and Sarma were professional, kind, flexible and a pleasure to work with on my wedding day. The photographers made what could have been a complicated experience stress free. My wedding was a destination wedding and we had a very small group but Sara and Sarma fit in with everyone so seamlessly! They were extremely creative with our photography although our beautiful location certainly added a perfect backdrop and as a result we got the most beautiful and stunning images from them! Regardless of your setting, I highly recommend them. Their ability to capture the "feeling" of what's going on where ever it's going on is truly amazing!

I said it before, and I promised I would say it again - Sara & Sarma are ROCKSTARS! For a wedding day where we made some great choices that almost all worked about above and beyond what we planned for, Sara & Sarma are certainly up with the cream of the crop on that list.

As a hobbyist photographer myself, selecting a wedding photographer was high on my list when planning our wedding day. Sarma happened to be one of the preferred photographers from our venue and honestly, after browsing various wedding photography websites, I was drawn to her clean, simplistic site and the way in which she organized her weddings with portfolios and individual slideshows. I could easily get a sense for her style and how she captures the day.

Sarma was flexible and professional from the get go, meeting us in Manhattan initially. She gives her opinion when asked but is also respectful of the bride's vision. After meeting her in person I was confident we had found the right photographer for us. Sarma photographed all of our necessary family and friend photos and I loved the way she captured the details (flower arrangements, invite, food&beverage, all of the personal touches). Her photographs reflect our wedding style, which was important to me. While it rained the entire day, a non-stop foggy misty day, Sarma knew how important it was for me to get a few photos outside with all of the greenery. We were able to get some of my most favorite shots under an awning and when it nearly stopped raining we rain outside to grab a few more with an umbrella in tow.

Post wedding, I loved seeing the slideshow she put together for us. She even used a background song I mentioned to her in our pre-wedding meeting that I have grown to love. She and Sara are a great pair, who fit in seamlessly with our day and worked well with our videographer. I highly recommend Sarma.

When selecting a wedding photographer, it was important to me that the photographer fit with the environment I was trying to create for my special day-- natural, authentic, and classy. I needed someone who would maintain the relaxed vibe AND that I could trust would capture all the special moments. I got exactly that from Sarma & Co. I remember meeting with Sarma to discuss my vision of the day and thinking that she must be a yoga instructor at night because she was so poised and calm. Throughout the entire process from our initial meeting (where she drove to meet me at my convenience in the suburbs) to the hand delivery of my album, Sarma was attentive and flexible; delivering a superior quality of service that I didn't know existed!

Sarma was wonderful from start to finish. Warm and knowledgeable, she listened to our requests and delivered. She and her fellow photog were with us for ten hours on the day of, always close by but never in the way. After the wedding, she was helpful and patient as I took forever to put my final wedding album together. She was always quick to respond and friendly. I don't know how much other wedding photographers charge, so I can't really speak to the relative value. She is not inexpensive, but delivers a beautiful product - and you get to keep all your photos on a flash drive to print wherever you want. She provides excellent customer service, and hand delivered my wedding album. She was fun and easy to work with. I definitely recommend!

From the moment we met with Sarma, we felt an instant connection. Not only does she do beautiful work, but there's an immediate sense of calm and comfort that she brings and it made talking to her and working with her a seamless process. She's enthusiastic and welcoming and makes you feel as if you are old friends. We used Sarma for both our engagement photos and wedding. Both times, she was well prepared and worked with our schedule. She was very flexible and willing to accommodate our specific requests. She made us feel very at ease in front of the camera and made sure to capture the details and moments that were so important to us. For our wedding day, Sarma and her assistant arrived ready to go and didn't miss a beat. Even when timing became tight, she stayed calm and took control and eliminated the stress for us.
