Great quality and value!
I emailed several different vendors for pricing and San Diego Events Lighting was the most reasonable. Maria was super responsive via email and really easy to work with. She let us add last minute additions to the contract as well. We rented market lights and an ivory backdrop and it turned out lovely. I highly recommend this company!! -

SD Events Lighting provided a large ivory backdrop, amber uplights and market lights for a 60th birthday party that I hosted at The Prado @ Balboa Park recently and I was beyond pleased with their services! From first contact through the day of event, Maria was very knowledgeable, responsive, professional and provided her expert opinion when requested.
For this particular event, I was going for an elegant ambiance; however, I also wanted to maintain an economically friendly budget overall. That said, decor wasn't a main priority so I did go back and forth w/ myself trying to decide whether or not SD Events Lighting would be "worth" the investment. Let me tell you...it was definitely worth it!! The decor was beautiful and my guest raved about the overall ambiance that it helped to create! I highly recommend SD Events Lighting for your next event! -

I decided to do my wedding on the Hornblower yacht and wanted to make it look elegant. Working with San Diego Events Lighting Company gave the edge that venue needed. From the first email to finally meeting Maria in person, it was very professional and the pricing was reasonable. Maria was very willing to work with the wedding coordinator to discuss the specifics and she was able to make great recommendations for me. She is flexible and even willing to work with me with a month left out to the wedding day (over Memorial Day weekend!). If you're considering making your venue amazing for your wedding, you need to contact San Diego Events Lighting Company. -

Maria was so great to work with for our wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum! She was SO helpful and offered her expertise above and beyond, especially when we weren't exactly sure what color to do for our backlighting, and she perfectly recommended a beautiful amber color that complimented our wedding colors. Everything went super smooth the day of and she made sure it went smooth at the end of the night when talking to my Mother when she was taking down everything!! That moment sticks in my Mom's mind as she was super sweet to making sure the night when smoothly and that we were happy with the lighting- amazing customer service. Thank you so much, Maria!! -

Our wedding was on 9/3/17, and Maria Harman was absolutely amazing! From the very first time we spoke she made me feel very comfortable and worry free with her knowledge of exactly what I wanted. She was always so quick to answer my questions and make sure I had all of the information I needed. Our wedding was at the Oceanview Room on the Sub base in Point Loma and Maria knew that venue very well and knew exactly what to do to be granted entrance onto the Naval base. She made everything so easy for us!
We hired SD Events Lighting for the string lights, lanterns, and up lights. We had clear lights and white lanterns with royal blue up lights. Everything looked beautiful! I had 100% confidence in Maria and her team and they definitely did not disappoint! I HIGHLY recommend them for any and all of your lighting needs! It was a pleasure to work with you! Thank you SO much! -

Our wedding was on the naval base so we had to have our vendors go through a process to get vetted, and we had no issue with this company. They were prompt in communication, offered us what we were looking for with lighting for a good value, and the wedding day was gorgeous and issue-free. I'd highly recommend this company for your lighting if you're looking for a stress-free, reliable vendor!-

Our event was a 70th anniversary of doing business at Standard Plumbing. San Diego Lighting was one time to set up the lighting. They set up superb mood lighting. (Our event was in the evening.) They came right on time to "tear down" the lights. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. -

Maria and the team from San Diego Events Lighting Company are amazing. My interaction with Maria from my initial call for a quote to their breakdown of the fabulous lighting was exceptional. Not only did they meet our budget, they gave us more than we expected.
Our event's decorations were beautiful, but once the San Diego Events Lighting Company did their thing our event went from elegant to stellar. I have never seen lighting make such a difference in the decor of a room. I was nearly speechless. I will use San Diego Events Lighting Company for any event I have in the future. They are professional, quick and efficient. I couldn't have asked for more. -

Maria was so easy to work with. She was able to help with any questions I had and had great suggestions for the event space that we had for our wedding. We ended up using market lights and lanterns inside our venue and it really transformed the space. Maria responds very quickly to e-mails and setting up payment is also very easy. SDELC was able to work with us on our budget as well. On the actual day of the wedding, the team worked quickly to set up the room as there were some hurdles that I learned of that day. They absolutely pulled it off! Tear down was also very efficient. I'm glad Maria and her team could work closely with my wedding coordinator to get the event set up on time. I highly recommend this vendor. -

Maria and her team were absolutely amazing. I needed to light up an acre backyard, 4 sets up stairs, a band, 2 floral arches, and a garden and wanted it to look gorgeous and elegant. She knew exactly the lights that would work and even talked through the shade of white that I was looking for. She is responsive and timely and extremely detail oriented in her planning. She sent an areal map view of what the layout will be and triple checked everything to make sure the day went off without a problem. I love this company! The market lights and lanterns inside the golf club's banquet hall gave our wedding reception a more intimate atmosphere and the uplighting was an essential festive touch. Having the lighting definitely enhanced the feel and fun of our celebration. Maria is also just AWESOME to work with! She was extremely responsive to my emails and even met me at the venue to make sure that all the details were exact for the big day. She provided great suggestions that eased a lot of the planning stress and she is just an overall fun and welcoming person to work with! Their prices are also affordable and definitely worth the extra splurge even though the expense was a little out of our budget.

We used San Diego Events Lighting Company for our 8/24/13 wedding. We got string lighting to go above our dance floor, and we are so happy we did. The lights made the space look even more beautiful. Maria was really easy to work with. I emailed her and explained what I wanted, signed a contract, paid her, and it was done. Maria of San Diego Events and Lighting is the owner and operator of her business and I had the pleasure of working along side of her setting up for a beautiful detailed wedding for a couple having their destination wedding in San Diego! The up-lighting, pin-spots on the cake, dance-floor-initials monogram and custom hung wall drapery behind the Bride and Groom's head table were simply gorgeous!
Besides having the details arranged, she and her crew are easy to get along and work with the client, their vendors, the venue staff and wedding and event coordinators by always communicating the necessary information ahead of time and working with the whole to accomplish the goal of a happy Bride and Groom!
I am proud to say she is my go-to gal for all my lighting and event decorating recommendations!

Maria from San Diego Events Lighting was AWESOME. She is full of ideas and is very passionate about what she does. We chose her Wedding Package and then ended up adding additional up-lighting per her suggestion. So happy we did. Our venue (The Prado) looked amazing and really something special. Several guests gave compliments on how beautiful the room was lit and were very impressed. We had a limited budget for decoration (lighting and floral was it) and knew lighting was one thing that was going to give a WOW factor, but I had no idea how big of a WOW it would give. Do not skip lighting in your decor and chose SD Events Lighting, you won't be sorry. Thanks Maria! -

I didn't know lighting would make such a big difference. I used San Diego Events Lighting Company for my wedding that was outdoors and there would not have been the ambiance that was there without them. I didn't have to do any micromanagement. Maria came in and got it done flawlessly. Totally recommend this vendor to anyone doing a big event. The lighting really made a huge difference. -

Lighting adds the glamour to any event. Like many, we were going to try to do it ourselves but then reality set in and Maria was referred to us. She immediately provided a professional quote and followed through on every detail. This was especially important given our venue at the Martin Johnson house which does not allow anything to be attached to the house and trees. Also same day setup and tear down is required. Lastly, we had a last-minute change due to rain, where Maria quickly had to revise the lighting from swooping overhead to under canopies. The lighting made the evening sparkle! -

We used San Diego Events Lighting Company for our 8/24/13 wedding. We got string lighting to go above our dance floor, and we are so happy we did. The lights made the space look even more beautiful. Maria was really easy to work with. I emailed her and explained what I wanted, signed a contract, paid her, and it was done. When I showed up to the wedding venue, it was set up perfectly and was exactly how I imagined it. I highly recommend this company. -

Very pleased when working with Maria. She knew our venue, which was very helpful! She was open to our suggestions and when we arrived to the venue, everything looked BEAUTIFUL. We decided to do big top lighting over a deck and the guests couldn't stop commenting about how unique and beautiful the lighting was. Maria and her team added drapery and lighting to an outdoor patio cover that our wedding reception was held under. The work that they did transformed the patio cover to a gorgeous wedding venue. My experience with working with San Diego Events Lighting Company was great. For my evening wedding, I originally wanted to do a large tent on a grassy lawn, but the tent was out of our budget considering our large guest count. I quickly tried looking for different alternatives and reaching out to different vendors. Maria and her team got back to me quickly and was ready to help! She was able to meet us at the venue and was attentive to our vision for the look of our wedding. She also gave us many tips and suggestions that turned out great! As I was waiting for other vendor responses, Maria constantly followed up with us which showed us that we could really depend on her and know that she will follow through. When the weekend came, Maria and her team got there early and started setting up. She made our outdoor wedding look way better than I had imagined. We were very happy with her professionalism, flexibility with working with our venue, and the romantic atmosphere that she created for us. I would highly recommend working with this group!! -

San Diego Events Lighting Company provided the lighting for my wife's 40th birthday party. I told Maria my wife is amazing and I wanted to give her a party that would be special. Something she wouldn't forget.
Maria and crew came though on delivering a layout and execution that was better than I imagined! The initial planning, communicating any changes, and setup all went smooth as silk.
My wife's first reaction was staring up and all around and asking with a smile, "what did you do???" That was before the sun went down. When she saw the final impact... Sun down, all lights and up lighting shooting trough the tower and bouncing off the palms, it almost brought her to tears.
We had a big party full of family and close friends. EVERYONE was complimenting the lighting -- all very impressed. My goal was only for my wife to be swept away, but everyone else was, too. It was simply perfect.
Even my in-laws (big family, mostly from India where lighting and decor for parties is huge) were thoroughly impressed. My aunt said she wants the same at her party.
My wife pulled me aside so many times that night. She was absolutely happy.
The next day San Diego Events Lighting Company came to pickup everything and they were quite, courteous, and quick with no mess left around.
I will definitely keep them on my list for future special events. I wanted this special day to be as amazing as possible and it was that and more. San Diego Events Lighting Company did an outstanding job! -

She was able to send me pictures of what the lighting would look like beforehand which was extremely helpful. I decided on market lighting with up-lights on the Palm trees and walls. I also had lighting for our band. It turned out so beautiful and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for gorgeous lighting for your event. This company is fabulous to work with! They stretched their schedule to fit us in even though they were very busy that Saturday. We had an issue of take down of the market lights that we were renting. Sharon and Maria were great to work with. They even helped us work out with our venue to come back and take down the lights the next day as they were busy collecting from other events. Our venue traditionally required the lighting to be removed after the celebration. Their contract was complete and descriptive as to when payments were due and they sent email receipts when the check arrived to them.
By the way the lights were very pretty at night on the outside patio. They had the medal poles covered with white fabric which were very nice. Made for some very pretty photos!
Highly recommend this company, you will be very happy with their business. -

Maria Harman from San Diego Events Lighting Co. was fantastic. She was very professional and always easy to get in contact with. During our first meet and greet, I explained the look and feel I wanted for our wedding at The Prado in Balboa Park. The Grand Ballroom is gorgeous, yet a little dark, and I really wanted to brighten the place up. I had a certain color in mind, and Maria helped me custom make the exact color I wanted. It turned out BEAUTIFUL and the ballroom pops in all of our great pictures. She even found me the day of our wedding to say hello and congratulate my husband and I. The pricing is also extremely reasonable and they even have a monogram option if you want your names to shine down on the dance floor! All in all..GREAT experience with San Diego Events Lighting Co. We were having our wedding in the outside pavilion on the water at the Bali Hai, San Diego. About 6 months before ours, we decided to check out another wedding there to see how it looked all done up. I noticed that they hired someone to dress up the top of the pavilion with beautiful market lighting and lantern balls which looked exquisit! We inquired further about the company who did this and found out it was San Diego Events Lighting. I sent them an email and immediately heard back from Maria about their services and prices. She was so very pleasant in her email and sent me more pictures of other events they did at the Bali Hai. I was so impressed and booked right away. Maria at San Diego Events Lighting was fantastic to work with. She was actually recommended to us by our DJ, if I recall correctly. We're from out of town, so it was really important to us that our vendors could handle their own part of the planning without too much micromanaging from us. With Maria, we simply signed the contract and sent her a picture of the reception venue with lighting the way we liked, asking if she could make it "look like this".
She said she'd be able to do it, and that was all we had to do in advance. On the day of, by the time we got there, the room was already being set up, and she seemed to have everything under control.
And the final product was lovely. The room looked exactly the way it looked in the picture we had originally sent, and made for a wonderful atmosphere. As far as rates go, I don't know what the going prices are for lighting in San Diego, but I certainly felt that the price we paid was reasonable for the work done. I would recommend Maria and the folks at San Diego Events lighting without reservation. -

We actually live in Buffalo, NY so most of the communication was via email and over the phone. Everything went off without a hitch!!

Maria's company provided the lighting for our daughter's garden wedding. Of all the vendors involved in the event, Maria was absolutely the best to work with. She came up with a plan that defined the space and provided the needed light after dark, incorporating our ideas and improving on them. It was a difficult space to work with--after all, if it had been easy, we would have done it ourselves. Her crew was punctual on both set up and take down. She was respectful of our budget as well.

Maria with San Diego Events Lighting Company is my hero! She helped me out when I was in a tight spot and needed last minute lighting. She not only knew exactly what my vision was, she added some special touches to coincide with other decorations. She was willing to work with my budget and even suggested I look around for price comparison. The lights at my reception, which was outside on a poorly lit deck by the ocean, were perfect and we received many compliments on how much they added to the ambiance. I didn't realized how important lighting can be for events until I saw the setup. If I didn't have Maria, my reception would have been dark and dreary. Thank you Maria and all at San Deigo Events Lighting Company! -

At the beginning of our Wedding Planning, my husband and I originally didn't plan on hiring a Lighting Vendor. Over time and through my research, I found Maria's company. Her work and her prices were very appealing. It wasn't until I contacted Maria that I realized how passionate she is about her work.
Maria replied to my email inquiry in a timely manner and we spoke shortly after. She was very personable, yet professional. Our conversation entailed her getting to understand my vision and to get to know my husband and I. She was never pushy or concerned about "selling" her company.
Our first meeting was exactly like our phone conversation. Maria took her time to get our colors just right. I like the fact that she doesn't push other or previous couple's ideas onto you. Each successive email was replied in the same timely professionalism.
On the day of our Wedding, Maria completely created our Wedding vision! The beautiful lighting set the mood for our fun party atmosphere! My husband and I are 100% satisfied w/her work and we're so happy that we did decide to have Lighting as a part of our Wedding! Thank you for all your hard work, Maria! -

I found San Diego Events Lighting while searching for and reading reviews for wedding vendors on-line. I contacted them through their website just to get a better idea of the services they offered as well as to get an idea about pricing. Maria responded promptly and was so helpful. I specifically needed outdoor lighting for a large balcony area for my wedding reception. They had a great selection and Maria clearly explained the different options I had. Once I decided what I wanted she broke down the pricing and gave me a clear picture of what the total cost would be. I was so busy with planning the wedding and work that I continued to use e-mail as my primary form of communication with Maria. It worked out perfectly because Maria was so available and responsive.
Over the next several weeks Maria continued to be readily available through e-mail for any questions I had and always responded quickly and answered my questions. I also ended up deciding to have Maria create a GOBO lighting design for the dance floor area at our reception. Maria e-mailed me several possible options and she worked with me to create a custom design that I absolutely loved.
The day of the wedding Maria and her team arrived early and made sure that all of the lighting was set-up and functioning. Because she was so easy to work with and communicate with through e-mails, I actually met Maria in person for the first time at my wedding. She was just as nice and professional in person as she had been in all of her e-mails. All of the lighting turned out beautiful and I could not have been happier with the service San Diego Events Lighting provided us with. Maria specifically was such a pleasure to work with. She was genuinely happy and excited for my husband and I through the whole process and communicated this through her words and actions. It was so nice to work with a company who genuinely cares about their clients.
I highly recommend San Diego Events Lighting Company. They are professional hard working people who sincerely care about their clients and demonstrate this through their quality products, service, personal attention, and delivery. I was so lucky to have found them. They helped make my special day perfect.

Great service, Good value, Friendly and efficient.. I would use them again with no question. After getting quotes from several well know local companies they offered the exact same service and product for a FRACTION of the cost..We were very very happy. -

From the beginning Maria was very friendly and easy to work with. I found her through a preferred list of vendors from my venue, Admiral Kidd for my wedding this past August. She responded quickly via e-mail and her suggestions were extremely helpful. The transformation of lights to the already stunning view from the patio of our venue overlooking the harbor was absolutely beautiful. I would definitely use her again! -

We had a great experience with San Diego Events Lighting. We had market lights and lanterns strung on ceiling beams for our wedding and it totally transformed the place! Our friends and family ooh-ed and ahh-ed over the lighting and everyone was super impressed! Maria really went out of her way to make sure I had the exact color lanterns that would go with our color theme, which I appreciate greatly. Thank you so much for making my wedding so beautiful! -

This vendor was absolutely fantastic. I could not be happier. The only thing I was shocked with was the price. It's extremely expensive, for lighting. However, it was worth every penny as we had an outdoor wedding & it made such a huge difference. Even though they were expensive, they were flexible with a payment plan, which most wedding vendors do not provide. They were prompt in answering questions, the best in the dozen vendors we had in the wedding. And what they did was beautiful. They are the kind of company that just knows what to do without having to hold their hand. Plus they are extremely experienced & have a proven track record. Would absolutely recommend this vendor. -

The lights were great!! They really made the room pop. Sharon was a pleasure to work with and the blue she recommended was beautiful! Our customGOBO looked great on the dance floor. Was a bit pricey for lights, but they looked great so it was a good decision to have them! -

Awesome customer service and beautiful lighting! I would definitely recommend San Diego Events Lighting to others having a wedding in the area. The price is quite steep, or may seem so for the service but the lights definitely add to the event. I would choose this service again in a heartbeat! -

I never realized how much ambiance lighting could provide. Our venue was pretty plain and the uplights made everything look so beautiful. San Diego Events Lighting was a breeze to work with and made everything very simple. I especially loved the custom GOBO design that was displayed on the dance floor! -

We were able to use Market Lights that had been used from a Wedding from the previous evening. We did not have to pay the full rental as the lights were already set-up. It worked out very nicely. Maria was very helpful. -
