Beyond My Expectations. Better than my dreams!

I have heard horror stories from other couples about photographers being unprofessional, not taking the desired photos, never sending any proofs and the worst of all, never receiving any photos at all. THIS COULD NOT BE FURTHER from our experience with Rose and her team. Rose goes above and beyond in every single way. She constantly surprises you with her thoughtfulness, attention to detail and over-the-top ways of making this event in your life even more special. Rose is a true professional and an artist. There is no other way to describe her. Her work is flawless and her experience helps her to help you along the way. I would recommend her services over and over again!!! I feel so lucky that we found her and now we have such amazing photos and keepsakes to keep reliving this beautiful experience over and over again!

Great experience working with Rose

From our engagement photo session to the wedding itself, Rose was great to work with and her photography is amazing. She helped us capture so many special moments that we've enjoyed looking at over the past year since our wedding. I'd highly recommend Rose to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

Beautiful wedding photos!

Rose was absolutely amazing to work with! I met Rose at a bridal show and absolutely loved her work, and immediately scheduled an appointment. We booked Rose for our engagement pictures and wedding and are so incredibly happy we did! Rose provided us with timelines, planning help, and was there every step of the way. We had such a blast during our engagement photos we knew the wedding would be amazing. She's so professional and so easy to work with and all of our photos came out absolutely stunning. On our wedding day she made sure everyone was running on schedule and we had the most relaxed day! From start to finish Rose was there to help us along the way and now we have the most beautiful wedding photos and stunning album that tell the story of our wedding. We couldn't be happier that we chose Rose to capture our day!

Exceeded my expectations!

My husband and I originally planned to have a big traditional wedding. When my father passed away unexpectedly we decided to just go ahead and not to wait any longer. We arranged to be married at the Monroe town hall. Although it was a civil ceremony, I knew that I wanted a photographer to capture that day. One day while surfing the internet looking at various bridal hairstyles and makeup, I came across one photo in which the bride and the picture itself were absolutely stunning. Upon further inspection I noticed the name Rose Schaller on the bottom of the photo. I looked her up and was thrilled to find out she was a local photographer. I looked at some more of her work and knew I wanted her to take my wedding photos. I contacted Rose, explained what I wanted and she was available on the day and time we had in mind. On the day we got married, Rose showed up before we even got there. She was professional and funny and had a lot of ideas for the most perfect shots. After the very short ceremony, she took us to two beautiful locations in Monroe and shot even more gorgeous photos. Mind you, the temperature was like 100 that day and she never complained once or rushed the process ( my husband and I almost passed out from the heat but Rose was a trooper). We received the photos not long after. Not only did we receive digital access to our wedding album and an app for my phone that contained all the photos, but she sent a video of all the shots in the most beautiful case, not to mention the physical photos that were included in the package we chose. On top of that, she incorporated an image of my recently deceased father in one of the shots. If all that wasn’t enough, she sent us a personalized Christmas ornament a few months later which was engraved and contained one of my favorite shots. Thanks to Rose, my husband and I have all these stunning moments captured forever. I still receive compliments on them and I suggest if you want the most amazing photos with the most amazing backdrops then look no further than Rose Schaller!

Rose was recommended by my maid of honor. From start to finish Rose was wonderful. I am not fond of having my pictures taken, and she made it a fantastic experience . Her work is outstanding. My photos are beautiful. I highly recommend her.

Last year I contacted Rose in a panic two months before our wedding when the photographer we were going to use stopped responding to messages. She got back to me right away and luckily just happened to have our wedding date open.

Rose was super responsive leading up the wedding and even sent us a sweet gift of a poem on a plaque with our planning materials.

Even though we had a small, intimate wedding with only 18 guests, Rose fit right in and put us at ease being photographed. She got every shot we asked for and was even kind enough to drive us around to take photos in different locations and wait out a sudden rain shower in the car with us. The time right after our ceremony was so exciting, and we had a lot of fun with her during it!

The photos of the ceremony, our family, and us came out so beautiful--they were a great record of the day. Rose took a few hundred photos over the ~2 hours we hired her for. She processed about half for an "Artist's Pick" gallery and still provided us with the rest of the photos (and they were all great photos still!).

And Rose just went right on going above and beyond when she sent us our final files on a USB in a case that was wrapped in a printed cover of one our favorite photos from the day and then, months later, a Christmas ornament made from another one our photos. Including us on her facebook page, blog, and an advertisement felt pretty great too :D

Rose was a pleasure to work with! She was professional and kept us on track and calm throughout the big day (and months leading up to the wedding.) She was extremely flexible, but also provided structure and guidance so we didn't have to worry! We received a preview and blog within a week and all of our photos within a month! We were very pleased with Rose and would highly recommend her to others for their special day :-)

Rose was incredible. I had a total of 3 photo shoots with her and she was so fun and made us feel so comfortable. I have so many amazing pictures that I am having trouble selecting some for an album. She definitely captured the day beautifully and I relive it each time I look at her work. She was kind, helpful and personable throughout the entire process. She did an amazing job of establishing a relationship with us and I will definitely be finding excuses to do more photo shoots with Rose!

My fiancé proposed to me on Block Island. He had been in contact with Rose prior to our visit to Block Island. Rose could not have been more professional, flexible, and helpful. My husband and I had gotten married in Aruba and I had a photographer there but I was looking for someone back home to clean up my photos. I found Rose and thank God I did!!! Through Rose I had a professional album done, a beautiful wall picture and she cleaned up all the photos I wanted. Everything was perfect! I can't thank her enough for taking on my little project.

Rose helped me plan a suprise engagement a few weeks ago on Block Island. It went without a flaw! She was helpful, courteous, thoughful and professional. My husband and I were married on May 20, 2017 and we were thrilled to have had Rose capture our day! Finding a photographer we felt truly comfortable with was important to us and when we met with Rose, she was warm and curious about our story and who we are. It was clear to us that she really loves what she does and cares about the couples she photographs. Knowing that we were in Rose’s capable and caring hands, we were able to let loose and have fun in front of her camera! Rose went above and beyond our expectations each and every step of the way. Rose was a pleasure to work with. She listened to how you wanted your day to be captured and did it beautifully. We wanted some posed pictures but what we really wanted was some action photos, photos of friends and family talking and enjoying themselves and Rose captured this beautifully. She was so unobtrusive but was able to get wonderful pictures. We would highly recommend her for your wedding day photography.

My husband and I were so blessed to have Rose join our team for our special day! Words cannot describe how wonderful she was to work with and how stunning her work is. She was so easy to get along with and was very calming throughout the day of the wedding. We knew from the moment we met her that she was the perfect choice for us.

Rose is amazing! I wanted a photographer who had a classic style so I could have photos that wouldn’t date. This is what attracted me to Rose’s photos. Rose is extremely talented and has a great eye.

To be honest, I don’t like taking photos at all. My goal with a wedding photographer was to have good classic photos and not have to spend our whole night taking pictures. I wanted minimal formals. We had a 20 person wedding party so getting people organized is challenging. Rose was totally able to achieve this balance for me! My photos are STUNNING! I always hate pictures of myself and I literally can’t stop looking at our wedding photos because I love them so much! I can’t believe what she was able to do without us me feeling like we were in front of a camera all night. My husband and I did take a 10 minute detour after the ceremony to take some photos at Finn’s on Block Island. They have a wall of buoys down there that looks cool in photos. We went down there for 10 mins and Rose got the most fabulous shots. All of our family and friends are talking about those pictures! Who would have thought that a little dirty back alley with some buoys hanging on the wall could turn into a work of art! Rose has a wonderful eye! I can’t wait to see the rest of our album. It feels so wonderful to be so excited about our photos!

Additionally, Rose is extremely professional and organized. She has been in the wedding business for a long time and definitely knows that she is doing. She also goes above and beyond. She came very prepared! A few of my girls had a headache and Rose came prepared with the Advil. Additionally, she came with a crochet hook to help button my dress. I would have never thought of that! She’s more than just a photographer. She will offer you a lot of support on your wedding day. I recommend Rose 100%!

Fun to work with, good sense of humor. Consulted with us enough on what we wanted to capture that we felt like it was personalized, but didn't go overboard which gave me confidence she knew what would look best. The image quality is perfect, photos came out amazing. High clarity, lighting in the photos was perfect. Took a large amount of photos which was a key factor in my happiness with using Rose. I wanted to make sure we got the best bang for our dollars and we certainly did. I recommend Rose, stop the search and pull the trigger. It will be one of the best moves you make. You get what you pay for with wedding vendors; when comparing with other friends/family Rose delivered more value than other companies I saw. Thanks Rose!

Rose is amazing!!!!

When I pictured my wedding day, like all brides, I knew the absolutes and the areas I had for flexibility. The photography was one of those absolutes. I wanted someone who got how I pictured the day and who could capture the moments beyond what I envisioned.

Rose not only got me, but she was able to make me feel completely confident in all the choices made. From day one, I knew she was our photographer. She walked us through everything and was able to answer all my questions. It also didn't hurt that her show room had many beautiful albums and impressive portfolios of the past work she has done.

My husband does not like taking pictures and an area of his concern was having to not only be the center of attention, but to have those moments of his awkwardness captured. Rose completely put him at ease and made him actually feel comfortable in front of the camera. From the engagement shoot on, she got to know us and gain an understanding of what it was we were looking for, as well as help us get used to being in front of the lens. She didn't force us to do anything we wouldn't be comfortable with and encouraged us for those key moments to get some really AMAZING shots.

My husband and I took full advantage of the many services offered and we received our picutres back so quickly.

The end result was breathtaking. I had the wedding of my dreams and the pictures that captured it for the rest of my life.

Rose was incredible to work with. She has really thoughtful worksheets for you to fill out before your big day, she prepares you for posing with an engagement session, and she LISTENS and responds to what you want. She has a keen eye for touching moments, made many incredible suggestions for photo poses and locations. Everything she hands you is BEAUTIFUL, right down to the box the flash drive came in (not to mention the flash drive itself!). She can accommodate almost any budget. I enthusiastically recommend Rose Schaller!

Rose is wonderful!!!! All of her photos and work are beautiful! She is supper easy to work with and very flexible! Before our wedding, I had given rose a list of pictures I wanted. Little did I know, when the wedding day was actually here I would prefer to be on the dance floor instead of getting my pictures taken! Rose was fine with that ! Basically the whole plan of set photos went out the window and candids became the only of picture We were willing to do! Still our photos came out gorgeous! Thank you for everything and I highly recommend this vendor!!!

Rose was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. She always responded to questions promptly, was helpful in the planning and decision making process and was great to have on hand on the day of. We were married on Block Island and she knew the best locations to take pictures. She was able to move everything along and keep us on schedule, while getting all the pictures we wanted. She provides a sneak peak blog quickly after your wedding and is very prompt at getting all the pictures to you. We were completely blown away with how the pictures turned out and could not have been happier, the are gorgeous and we will cherish them forever. Rose was extremely friendly and catered to our every need. She took great pictures and we loved every one of her ideas to get the best shot. We only wish we could do the entire day again with her! Rose was fantastic! I got married last September at Catlin Gardens and Rose was my photographer. I live in the NYC and Rose came in to take our engagement pictures at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park. They were fantastic! She has this amazing ability to capture the emotions and personalities of her subjects. She captured all of our special wedding moments in a journalistic style that highlighted the beauty of the day, just the way that we remembered it. She is very easy to work with and professional. My husband and I highly recommend Rose for any special occasion!

My husband and I talk about our wedding day and the first thing that comes to mind for us was how our Photogragher was so amazing... we are not that great at looking good in pictures but I can honestly say I was amazed at how natural and in love we looked in our photos.. Rose captured exactly what my husband n I were meant to look like that day...Every moment was pure bliss and we have such great memories thanks to rose... The moments that everyone didn't see were the ones so special to me.. N I couldn't even imagine not having them.. She made my day so special... Not only was she so interested in capturing those special moments... She made sure my husband I had smiles on our faces.. For someone like me who is nervous with pictures, rose has a special way of making u feel completely natural!!! I couldn't imagine my wedding day with out her...

Rose made my wedding day very stress free. Everything we had forgotten she had. She made everyone in my wedding party feel comfortable especially the little ones. She takes the most beautiful pictures and captured my wedding day perfectly. Most of the day I never even realized she was there taking pictures. Rose is wonderful and I highly recommend her.

Rose was FANTASTIC! She knows Block Island in and out and had great suggestions on locations for our photographs, both on our wedding day and for our engagement session. She was professional and captured every photograph we could have asked for on our wedding day without being intrusive. She asked great questions before the wedding to get an idea of who we are as a couple and what we were looking for. We could not possibly have asked for more. We highly recommend her!!

Rose of Rose Schaller Photography was a pleasure to work with to say the least! We have heard several horror stories from friends and family members who waited months, even over a year, to get any photos back from their wedding photogropher. Rose was not only on time to all events, but had proofs only days after the wedding, and photos and albums of our wedding ready to go within weeks! She was also really easy to work with. They say that you know you have a really great photographer when you don't even notice them at the wedding....this truly was the case with Rose (and her photographer partner). She was able to capture the most beautiful and memorable shots of our ceremony without getting in the way of any of our guests' views. We can't wait to work with her again in the future on baby/family photo sessions!

Rose was absolutely amazing from the beginning of the planning process right on through following up after our wedding. We have nothing but positive things to say about Rose. She takes beautiful images, listens and delivers exactly what you want, is prompt and responsive, and is fun to be around. Not only did we appreciate having her at our wedding as the photographer, but also as our friend. Rose has always been willing to work with us from the moment that we first met her. We knew she was the right photographer for us when we saw her photography. There was something unique and romantic about her photos that we haven't seen in the other photographers that we looked at. Almost as if you can feel their emotions through the photo. Rose showed us her samples and even brought out proofs that were waiting to be picked up by brides. We knew then that she wasn't just showing us a highlight of her best work over the years because she showed us the most current weddings she had just photographed. Rose has always been very professional and quick to respond to any questions we had through email and phone. We never felt like we were bothering her with our questions or that we were wasting her valuable time. We were very impressed with all of the extra special touches she included to make our photos and wedding day more personal. We especially loved the photo cards she placed around the tables so our guest would have all the information they needed to look at our wedding photos online. During the ceremony and reception, Rose captured all of the special and important moments while blending into the background. She was quick to send us our proofs, photos, DVDs, and album. There is so much positive to say about Rose and her work I could go on forever! We couldn't be happier and we would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a true photographer to capture not only their wedding but all the other major events in their life.

It was such a pleasure working with Rose Schaller as our wedding photographer. We are thrilled with our photos, they're absolutely beautiful and exactly what we wanted! We live 9 hours away from where we had our wedding, but Rose made the planning process very easy for us. She was very flexible when it came to working with our crazy schedule and was quick to respond to any of our questions. Rose did an amazing job with our Block Island wedding. What was particularly nice was how well she knew the island. She knew all the best places to go for amazing pictures where we wouldn't be crowded by tourists. She is very easy to work with and has lots of great suggestions for posed photographs and group shots. I also appreciated that our posed photo sessions didn't take very long. We wanted lots of candids and she delivered unbelievably. Every time I flip though our wedding album I find another wonderful moment that she captured. Our friends and family can't get enough of looking at our pictures. Rose captured our wedding perfectly and she even helped me bustle my dress after the official photographs were done!

Rose Schaller was more than I could've expected from a photographer. It took me a very long time to find a photographer who wasn't the average, run-of-the-mill picture taker. Rose stood out from the crowd with her ability to capture not just the people but the atmosphere and the real moments. Rose brought a photojournalist's eye to the wedding setting up shots that captured and enhanced the setting. Aside from her ability to take beautiful pictures, Rose was a delight to work with. She was always professional, always returning emails promptly and resting my nerves by planning out the entire day so we knew what to expect. Rose was more than just my photographer she helped me figure out how to get into my dress (when the maid of honor failed to remember what straps go where!), she bustled my dress, and she even had extra pins in her bag to help my mom pin a loose strap. Rose is the calming force every girl must have at her wedding and I highly recommend her services. OH, and the photos came out amazing!!!

Rose is a skilled photographer and a special person. She was truly interested in what we wanted and very easy to work with, replying promptly and cheerfully to all inquiries. Rose Schaller was not only a great photographer but she was a wonderful addition to the wedding. She voluntarily stepped in as wedding consultant during the rehearsal and part of the wedding ceremony when we obviously didn't have a clue what to do! She made the photo taking fun and this is saying something as my husband and I are completely camera phobic. The photos were exquisite. From candid shots to heirloom portraits, Rose captures it all. We would highly recommend her.

Almost one year after our wedding, Mike and I and our families cannot thank you enough for the beautiful pictures you took of our wedding. We especially appreciate the opportunity to work with someone so easy and affable. Most importantly, you listened to our thoughts and desires concerning our photos! Rose was amazing. She 100% captured the artistic nature and ethereal quality of photographs I was looking for. I have been to many weddings (over 25) in the last few years, as well as have seen photography from many of the local wedding photographers and she is far and above one of the true artists. She is responsive, professional, attentive but also knows how to placate and "disapear" from the scene during the actual day, so that she is capturing the images but not in the way or annoying or bossy like so many wedding photographers can be.
We are expecting our first child soon and can't wait to go back to Rose for baby photos and family photos.
Please note when using Rose she is, in my opinion, a true artist and you have to pay for that artistry. She is not only capturing the images but creating a moment, a look and capturing a feeling. Enjoy!!!

Rose did a great job on our wedding day! She was even helpful to me and my bridesmaids as I was trying to get dressed and untangle my necklace! She also gave us good tips on how to hold the bouquets and everything. The pictures I have seen so far look awesome! During the wedding, she blended in so well that I almost forgot she was there, capturing all of the important moments. I can't wait to see the rest of the photos :)

Rose was a wonderful help on the day of our wedding. She helped with my bridesmaids get me into my dress and made sure that the groomsmen weren't spending too much time at the bar before the ceremony. Wish there were a couple of different poses to the whole wedding party and for our family shots but I didn't ask for her to do them. Other then that she was absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to work with.

Rose was a great wedding photographer. It was nice her package included an engagement session. We were able to meet her on Block Island, where the wedding was to take pictures. The day of the wedding she helped us capture the day! I can't wait to see all of the photos. She knows the island and knows photography. We recommend Rose!!
