I opted to work with Robin because we were having an outdoor wedding and her portfolio showed that the captured settings like this beautifully - bright and airy yet crisp with a flattering perspective on the subjects. She did not dissapoint! The photos we received exceeded out expectations and made our special day into the most wonderful memories to frame or hang. I couldn't have dreamt up better photos of our event.

Robin not only is the sweetest human ever, but she is a fantastic photographer! Not to mention, the most responsive and easy to work with person that we hired :) She did our engagement pictures and our wedding photos, and we could not be more pleased! Her and her husband and assistants are a dream team, everyone could not stop raving about how good of a job that they did. They truly captured our day beautifully, and caught all of the special moments without being in the way (or hardly even noticed!) She has such a great vision and eye, and the lighting in her photos are simply stunning. Cannot wait to work with her again in the future!

Robin just took stunning engagement photos for two very shy tech folk!! I was so nervous about posing and everything but the other reviews are right, she just has a great way of working with people to produce a great atmosphere, and the results are the best pictures we've ever had as a couple. We were hoping for 2-3 good ones for save-the-dates, but we had so many we loved that we ended up putting a slideshow on our wedding website! Thanks Robin!!

We had so much fun on our wedding day with Robin! She made us feel relaxed and beautiful. Robin is THE BEST! We hired her for our engagement photos, wedding photos and to shoot a cocktail party following our wedding. From start to finish, she was so easy to work with. Professionally, she listened to our vision and accommodated every request we had, and delivered the most beautiful photos right on time. Personally, she made us and our guests feel so comfortable, and was truly fun to be around. She kept us all organized and on-track through all the wedding day craziness, and made sure that we got every photo which I had listed on the shot sheet ahead of time -- which I really appreciated! I don't even know where to start with my gushing about Robin Jolin Photography!

Robin is so professional and so fun at the same time.
Her photos were absolutely stunning.
Her turn around time was so helpful to make thank you notes.

She was really good at working with my husband, who is not a fan of getting pictures done. He actually had a great time!
Everyone at the wedding absolutely loved her and her bubbly demeanor.
She really helped keep everyone focused and was sure to check in with me and the day of coordinator from time to time during the wedding.

I really cannot wait to have kids so she can take our family portraits! It may have been a once in a life time event, but I can see us staying in touch with Robin.

Robin is perfect. Not only did she turn around our wedding pictures in TWO weeks (with a sneak peak the next morning!), she was an absolute joy to be around. As someone who is generally uncomfortable being photographed, she made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. The pictures came out looking like the best versions of ourselves--natural, happy and comfortable.

Not only is she fabulously talented, Robin is game--we came up with the idea to go to the Stow Lake Boat House in Golden Gate park. Originally, we thought we would just take pictures by the lake, but she brought an assistant so we could ROW BOATS around the lake! It was such a blast and the pictures came out lovely.

If you like her aesthetic, just book her. There is literally not a single negative thing I could say about Robin. She is worth every penny and more. My only regret is that we don't have any plans to see her in the near future.

Robin was extraordinary in every way. Communications prior to the wedding were concise, informative and easy. We could feel her excitement about the engagement. She was totally open to our ideas while at the same time assuring our confidence in her abilities, artistry and professionalism when and where the 'script' was not so clear. Ours was a catholic wedding with important guidelines around photography during the ceremony so as to not interfere or detract from its sacramental significance. Robin was careful to understand these guidelines and made adjustments with facility and utmost respect. After the ceremony, with a short window to gather family members for photographs on the church alter, Robin demonstrated great command at not only getting people listening and cooperating, but orchestrating guests and positions, captivating their attention to achieve wonderful smiling shots at very quick execution. The reception photographs were wonderfully varied and intimate, combining candid shots with impromptu compositions. She was never obtrusive or imposing, to the contrary, she managed to capture so many wonderful and important moments without altering the events unfolding before her camera. We feel truly blessed to have found Robin who is and could capture all we wanted. We heartily encourage you to contact her for beautiful memories of your own special occasion.

Robin was one of the BEST vendors my husband and I got to work with for our wedding! I loved her from the very first phone call. She is easily accessible, professional and organized. Not only is she the sweetest and a delight to work with but she is an AMAZINGLY talented photographer!! She shot our engagement photos which turned out absolutely beautiful but the wedding photography was just beyond perfection! We have received endless compliments on how stunning our photos are and it is all thanks to Robin and her husband! She was also so kind enough to voluntarily help troubleshoot with our wedding website when I had difficulties.

Robin really listens to your wants and consulted my Pinterest page for inspiration ideas in our wedding photos. She has an artistic eye on picking up the perfect lighting in all her photos. Considering how particular I am about my photos, Robin simply nailed it. I told her that she would be the one we call to capture all of our life's special moments for years to come!! This review is long overdue but Robin deserves every praise in the world for her service and beautiful photography. We got married in June last year and after a long time searching for the perfect photographer for our wedding, I finally found Robin. Her style ethereal, natural, and it always captures the happiest moments of almost everyone in her pictures. As a person, Robin is the brightest, most cheerful and positive person I've ever met. Even in the most stressful situation, she could make everyone feel at ease and lighten up the atmosphere. Robin is the highlight of our wedding, her pictures came out beautifully and the process of receiving and reviewing our photos was prompt and easy. The price of her wedding package was very reasonable, and it was worth every penny that we spent.

If you are still looking for a wedding photographer, don't hesitate to choose Robin. We loved her at our wedding and we still cannot thank her enough for the incredible service she provided us.

Robin's work is amazing and very reasonably priced given the amazing quality of her work. We had her shoot our engagement photos and our wedding and in both she captured the moments beautifully. She was really fun to work with and made us feel so comfortable that it didn't feel like we were having a photo shoot - it felt much more natural and that really came out in the photos. Most men, my husband included, don't love taking hundreds of photos but he was pleasantly surprised because Robin made it fun and painless - she is really quick to capture the moments so you can get a lot out of a short amount of time. She is also unique in that she really knows how to work with the light and the photos come out that much better because of it. For example, we liked the softer more romantic look and she was able to capture that for us. In addition to her amazing talent, she is also just a great person to have with you on your wedding day. She was always offering her help and even offered her help on bridesmaid type duties including helping me with my dress countless times and helping to carry and keep track of my stuff. She was all around amazing and I'd strongly recommend her to anyone looking to really capture the day in the highest quality of photos.

After picking our venue, the Ritz Carlton @ Half Moon Bay, I was then on the search for an amazing photographer. Luckily, we found Robin. She was extremely friendly and professional (responsive and on time) and was very accommodating of our budget and even did a walk of the venue with us well beforehand. This happened to be our second wedding ceremony, the first one we had overseas. The photographer for that ceremony seemed to have been only a hobbyist with an expensive camera. Fortunately for us, Robin is a true artist and really loves her craft. Her photos turned out amazing and she really captured us in the most natural and elegant moments and gave us very easy to follow directions as far as posing and knew exactly how to make us look our best. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!

Robin was everything we could have wanted in a photographer! I am a very particular person, so vendor selection was one of the most challenging aspects of coordinating our wedding. After reading countless reviews and conducting research, I ultimately based my choices off a gut instinct. I couldn't have been more right in selecting Robin. As much as I dreaded the nonstop posed photos on our wedding day, Robin did a wonderful job of making everyone (myself included) feel so comfortable. She is so sweet and bubbly and nearly impossible not to love (and laugh with). I greatly underestimated just how much time is spent with a photographer, and there's no one who I would have rather had hanging out with us from sun up to sun down.

Robin was organized and easy to work with on a professional level, and was even more reasonably priced than many others I looked at. On top of everything, she managed to get our full edited photos back to us so incredibly fast!

Thank you Robin (and Jerred!) for doing such a fantastic job and making for such a memorable day!

My Husband and I cannot recommend Robin Jolin Photography with more enthusiasm. Robin photographed our wedding on August 15, 2015 and did our engagement shoot several months prior. Robin's packages are very reasonable and most include the engagement session. We had not originally planned on doing engagement pictures, but it was a wonderful opportunity to get to know Robin and for her to meet us.

Robin shot both our rehearsal dinner and the ceremony/reception. I think she was with us for over 15 hours between the two days and was amazingly professional, helpful and positive the whole time. Throughout the weekend, Robin was in complete control and often took charge when other venders were not at their best. She captured every detail of both events and fully realized our vision. The pictures turned out AMAZING. It's a weird thing to say about your wedding photographer, but all of the above aside, Robin is also just an awesome person who we felt completely comfortable around and enjoyed sharing this important day with.

Robin is AMAZING! Neither my husband and I are big fans of being in front of the camera. Robin quickly put us at ease and made us feel more like we were hanging out with a friend. That being said, she got every shot I requested (A-type bride with a long list). She kept things organized, calm and moving so we could enjoy our wedding. She worked fabulously with our other vendors and helped with anything she could. She was very responsive and got us our pictures quickly. Don't skip the engagement shoot, well worth it. I would hire Robin again in a heartbeat!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Robin, her professionalism, artistry and overall she is just a lovely & kind human being. We hired her for our wedding and from the time of our first meeting to the day of our wedding, she was organized, always on top of it and had a non stop positive uplifting attitude! The day after my wedding I was not sad it was over but extremely excited because I knew we had photographs coming- sure enough they were priceless and captured our day beautifully! She is truly a gifted photographer and we were lucky enough to have her for the day. KEEP IN MIND, by the end of the night my dress got trashed, the flowers died, all the food and drinks were gone BUT our photos we will have forever! Seriously one of the best photographers EVER! Robin is so sweet and bubbly and really knows how to get the crowds attention when taking pictures of large groups. She was so quick and captured so many special moments. All of my little details I worked so hard on from the card table to the invites were all included. Nothing was missed! Robin was AMAZING! Our pictures are absolutely gorgeous and we love them! Even though they were super unobtrusive during the ceremony and reception, between her and her husband they seemed to be absolutely everywhere and caught every moment of fun. Our wedding was on Kauai and they managed to get photos that perfectly captured the setting as well. Looking at the photos I feel like I’m back on the island.

The icing on the cake, though, was that they were SO much fun to have around. At the engagement photo shoot we got to know her a bit, which made the wedding day a lot more comfortable. They were with us for the whole weekend (since it was a destination wedding) and they were as much fun to have around as any of the other guests. I would love to have Robin as a photographer for any event, not just for the photos but just to hang out a bit more ☺

Overall a 10/10 and I can't say enough good things!

We LOVE Robin period. She is the best! We used her for both our engagement and wedding pictures. Not only does she take fantastic photos, but she is such a pleasure to work with! She herds crowds and takes large family pictures in minutes -- NOT an easy task! She also has a way of making you feel comfortable. My fiance did not even want to take engagement pictures to begin with, but working with Robin made it easy and the end results were even better than we could have imagined. We plan on using Robin as our go-to photographer for any special events in the future (anniversaries, family, babies (when the time comes), etc.). I can continue and rave about her, but in sum you cannot go wrong if you choose Robin!

We could not have been more pleased with Robin's photography and professionalism. We had a small engagement session with Robin and both my husband and I were a bit nervous about the camera. When we selected Robin to photograph our wedding, we were confident that she would do a great job. Her portfolio speaks for itself, and we had friends who vouched for her on a personal level.

But Robin FAR exceeded our expectations, and was perfect for the wedding & party. She has a great sense of people, and moved seamlessly through pre-wedding festivities, taking fun candid pictures of friends. When it came to the boring family pics,, she was able to put a smile on everyone’s face – but I won’t tell you how as that will give away her trade secrets. Both of my sisters asked how we found her because she was so fantastic.

At the reception, our 13-year old daughter, a budding photographer herself, was playing the role of 2nd photographer, and Robin gave her lots of tips. When we ran into Robin several weeks later, she invited Isabella to upload / add her pictures from the wedding to Robin’s website so family & friends could see those as well. Very sweet.

Our pictures turned out beautifully – Robin captured everything from the warm sunny day on our patio to the full moon we were blessed with that night. I promise you’ll be happy if you select her for any of your special events.

Robin is an amazing photographer you can see that looking at her website or portfolio. She also is a joy to work with making finding your photographer effortless. Upon our first conversation she was bubbly and a pleasure to talk to, finding the perfect package for our wedding day needs. Our first time shooting with Robin we felt comfortable and she made it easy to catch the perfect shots for our engagement photos, we actually had a difficult time picking the perfect one there were too many options. Fast forward to the wedding she was so professional and was the first vendor to make our schedule, even before our day of coordinator. She mapped out the timeline for our day from getting ready to dancing photos her and her husband Jared got all our shots. She is master of getting the candids, as well as posing the family pics, capturing the tender moments, and the all action shots. Needless to say our photos are gorgeous and timeless and I look forward to looking at them for years to come. I also used Robin for my boudoir photo shoot I was very nervous but she made me feel at ease and after sitting with the pictures for a little bit after being my own worst critic upon first look I love them! I feel so sexy and confident. My husband loved them, he was very ahem* excited ;) Robins customer service is above and beyond checking in and making sure you love your shots. I highly recommend Robin for wedding photography! I absolutely loved working with Robin and she was a fantastic addition to our wedding day.

We did an engagement photo shoot and used the photos for our save the dates. This also gave us a chance to get to know her. She's very kind, easy to work with and calmin - which is really important since you spend so much time with your photographer on your wedding day! Robin was patient with all of my 'must have' photo requests and really made an effort to make sure everything was captured. She took a lot of great candid photos and also happily accommodated our more traditional portrait requests.

The final product is absolutely amazing! Her photos are truly stunning and we will cherish these pictures for many years to come. She captured every laugh, smile and memory of our day. Robin was also incredibly helpful after the wedding and designed a beautiful wedding album, which we love!

Robin is absolutely amazing! She is extremely talented and we were very, very happy with our photos. Robin's style of "photographing life" is incredible- Our photos look natural and comfortable but we also look our best- a hard combination to capture! We were nervous about being photographed and Robin made us feel completely comfortable. Her low key, positive and friendly personality kept us calm and happy throughout our entire wedding day. During the entire planning process she was extremely responsive to our calls and emails and made us feel really special- something we didn't experience with other bigger photography companies. Robin's prices are very competitive and her turn around time for photos and albums is unusually fast. As a side note, I know she is now available for destination weddings and I can see her being excellent at this- her flexible and easy going personality make her a great candidate! If you're considering hiring Robin, don't hesitate! We had an entirely positive experience and felt really lucky that she was part of our wedding.

My husband and I searched for a long time to find the perfect photographer for our wedding. We wanted someone who could capture our style but just couldn't find the right fit. I told my neighbor of our dilemma and she VERY highly recommended we check out her wedding photographer. When we saw Robin's portfolio we knew instantly that we had to book her. As soon as we spoke on the phone we knew we had found the perfect fit. She was the ideal mix of professional and friendly, knowledgeable and funny, helpful and clear. She worked with us on the timing of the wedding...which we really needed and asked all the right questions to find out who our important guests were and who to get pictures with. When she showed up at my parent's house to take our "getting ready" pictures it was like an old friend had arrived. She was so nice and fit right in with my family and friends. I was provided names of photographers by my venue, none of which really spoke to my style and all of which were over priced. I found Robin on a wedding website, had my first phone call and never looked back. The experience I had with her was well worth the money. She helped coordinate that day better than any planner. The absolutely stunning photos were just icing on the cake! Our biggest hurdle with our photography is now choosing which gorgeous photos to print! I couldn't rate her and her team high enough. THE best gift to come home to after the honeymoon was her pictures. She's truly a unique talent.

Robin was really fun to work with. And the pictures she produced were quite lovely. She was always willing to try and shots we liked, and she had some fun ideas too. Overall, we were very happy with our photographer choice because the pictures were beautiful and returned to us quickly, and also because it was nice to have Robin around. Robin was an incredible photographer for our wedding! My husband and I are not that comfortable in front of the camera so for us it was really important to feel a connection with our photographer. Robin is just so amazing! I really cannot say enough good things. She captured the best images of both of us and made us feel beautiful and comfortable the whole time. My family and bridal party also felt this way and were so pleased with her professionalism and personality that they have already used her for other family photo endeavors. I also did a boudoir shoot with her and our engagement session. Both shoots went amazing and the photographs are beautiful. She was also extremely fast at responding and giving us our photos back.

We will be using her for the rest of our lives that is for sure! Baby photos, family portraits, whatever we can possibly think of!

I found Robin through wedding wire while browsing the portfolios on here. I was looking for an artist who has a good eye for modern naturally beautiful shots that don't look too "staged", and whose shots just radiate joy and happiness. As you can tell, Robin's style is just that! We chatted once on the phone and we just clicked and I kind of knew in my gut that she knew what I was looking for. Robin is friendly, professional and very helpful in guiding a super noob client (I never hired a photographer before!), even on that first phone call she suggested a timeline for my day, which at that point I didn't knew was a thing!

My husband and I are not photogenic people. He frankly kind of hates being filmed, and I am usually pretty shy. You would NEVER guess that from the photos she took of us on our wedding! Robin and Nina made us feel so comfortable and just guided us through what came out to be absolutely gorgeous photos in which we looked like naturally beautiful models who love the camera! Then there are all the wonderful candid shots that captured the happiness of our day, the way it really felt to me. Talk about magic. :)

One anecdote summarizes Robin to me. During our site walkthrough, I told her that my main fear was tripping on my dress and falling on my face as I walk down the aisle, and then Robin just said, "Oh don't worry! Even if that happens, I will make it look amazing!!" And we just laughed. That is how working with Robin will be like. She will take the worry away and the photos will be amazing, no matter what happens. Thank you Robin!

Robin is great! We wanted a photographer who had an artistic eye, beautifully captured candid moments without being overbearing and was easy going yet professional. This is Robin. She and Jarred captured our wedding day perfectly. Robin was able to snap stunning photos without taking all our time. She understands the importance of the bride and groom being present at their own wedding so she encouraged us to enjoy ourselves and leave it to her. She never stopped! She and Jarred arrived around 2pm and stayed with us until we left around 10:45pm.

Robin was so kind to our guests. I had many people tell me how wonderful, enthusiastic and generous she was which makes photos come out more real when people are comfortable. I gave her a "shoot list" which she stuck to and utilized the whole night so I never worried about whether she was taking the right photos.

Leading up to the day, Robin was very attentive, meeting us twice (once before we committed and once at our site), yet she did not require any hand-holding and she didn't take much of my time. She was there whenever I had questions or thoughts.

Overall Robin felt less like a "wedding vendor" and more like a professional friend. We had lots of fun together which I think truly paid off in the photos. We never felt forced or awkward. She captured the whole day perfectly and we couldn't be more happy with her work. If she's available, definitely have her photograph your wedding (or other gathering).

After my now husband and I got engaged I started to immediately search for a photographer. I will be the first to admit I know nothing of photography. My (now) husband fancies himself quite the expert and is always up for suggesting lighting, placements, etc. We quickly narrowed down photographers in the SF Bay Area that had a style we liked; Robin was at the top. We met one other photographer and nixed them right away, they just didn't make us feel comfortable which was very important to my(shy)self. My mother happened to take one look at our list of photographers and pointed out Robin right away "everyone in her photos is so happy!" she said. She was right, Robin has a natural way to catch everyone smiling, laughing, and beautiful. I was so nervous after our engagement photos since almost every picture of me ever taken is immediately deemed "the worst photo ever taken." After seeing them I almost fell over with how magical they looked. She captures the most spontaneous and happy moments into beautiful photos. Robin made us incredibly happy every minute we were with her (from the moment we met, through the hike of our engagement shots, and throughout the entire wedding). Robin was our photographer for both the engagement session and wedding in city hall. Both were exceptional experiences. Robin is probably the most friendly photographer you will ever meet, with a genuine personality that will put you and your significant other at ease. And family members too! Weddings can be stressful, but Robin was able to make it less stressful with her cheery personality.

Our photos came out beautifully. I especially love the ones of us on the city hall grand staircase. It looks like we rented out the building for the day, but in fact, Robin had nicely asked all the tourists to step aside so she could get several shots of just the family on the staircase. Absolutely awesome!! Loved how Robin was able to do that so gracefully...and that she had the balls to do it!

The first thing you’ll notice about Robin is her eternal optimism and cheerfulness. She was an absolute joy to have at our wedding, not only because of her magnificent work, but because she was so nice to everyone. I completely got the sense that she loved weddings and she cared to make it look fantastic!

Robin captured our special day perfectly, we couldn’t have been blessed with a better photographer. Like any wedding, things are always hectic, and there’s little time to give direction, but Robin inherently knew what I wanted capture – she got everything down to the smallest details to the spontaneous moments, never missing a photo opportunity in between. I hired Robin Jolin to take our wedding photos almost entirely based on intuition! I loved her portfolio and she seemed like a very easy-going and charismatic woman to work with, so we hired her on the spot without doing much comparison shopping. From when we got engaged it was only 3 months to the wedding! There wasn't time to be indecisive! She was excited to travel to the woods of British Columbia, and her enthusiasm really added to our small wedding that we were so excited to have with only a few close friends and family. We absolutely LOVED working with Robin and her team and would highly, highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer. We used her for our engagement photos in April 2017 and our wedding in May 2018.

While Robin was a little bit above our budget, we chose her because of how natural and candid all of her photos looked and because all of the reviews echoed how comfortable she made everyone feel. It was absolutely the right decision. Hard to adequately express how much we enjoyed working with her and how thrilled we are with all of our pictures.

1. She’s extremely professional, personable and clearly knows what she’s doing.

2. She was very responsive to emails and throughout the process was reachable on any questions and offered helpful tips on day of timeline and scheduling.

3. For context, we never remember to take pictures (and HATE posing for them) so we were terrified that taking photos would be both awkward and intrusive. But at both the engagement photos and the actual wedding, she made us feel completely at ease. Especially the day of, her and her team felt like just more members of the bridal party hanging out with us.

4. She is extremely efficient, great at corralling large groups and stayed as close to the timeline as possible

5. Turnaround time for the finished product was very reasonable and we found her website very easy to use and navigate

Robin Jolin Photography was more than we could have asked for! My husband and I were hoping to find someone fun, creative, flexible, affordable and adventurous to photograph our Guerneville elopement in November 2014. Robin was everything we hoped for and more. Robin is professional in her correspondance, prompt with email and phone conversations. We felt that her price and photgraphy packages were fair and competitive. Robin Jolin is an absolute genius. I only use the word "genius" because I know from experience how wonderful a picture can be once Jolin adds her majestic lighting and her ability to see beauty in the unexpected. She shot my wedding on April 2nd, 2011 and captured more amazing moments than I even dreamed possible. She made my wedding look more illuminating than it probably was ;-)

But please be warned. Robin Jolin is no "wedding photographer". I prefer to think of her as Art Photographer that happened to shoot my wedding. Believe me when I say that there will be no cheesy poses (unless instructed by the client), no staged "moments" and no traditional angles that make glancing through a photo album as run of the mill as a ham sandwich on white bread. Instead she puts the "Whim" in Whimsy and coats your most precious memories with sheer delight.

Working with Robin was lovely. She has an artistic eye and natural style. She is easy to work with, very comfortable and natural. She uses minimal photoshop and does a lot with lighting. Turnaround time and responsiveness were quick.

Robin took my prenuptial photos. She was amazing!

The photoshoot was very comfortable for both me and my fiance. The photos appeared expressive but still innocent and natural - exactly how I wanted it to be. She set the bar on wedding photography higher.
