Amazing experience!
Sophie exceeded all of our expectations for our intimate ceremony. Her words were beautiful and she was very accommodating for our personal vows. It was an emotional experience that made the moment so special. We cannot say enough wonderful things about working with her. Truly the best!

Perfect Beach Wedding
Sophie was very professional throughout the entire process. She allowed us to select from a few different ceremonies already prepared but gave us the opportunity to add or alter them to our liking.
She was awesome to communicate with, showed up on time and officiated a wonderful program. -

A special soul
Sophie met with us the day before the ceremony and got to know each other which was important in order to marry us. she was very accommodating, she also recommended Nancy who did a beautiful job photographing our wedding. So very reasonable and made us feel very much at ease and comfortable. Both very relatable and genuinely kind. God Blessed us on our day. Loved every minute of it. -

Very professional and courteous minister
Rev. Sophie performed a perfect service for us on a hot sunny afternoon in Florida. She was very accommodating with timing, sermon content, setting expectations, and the wedding ceremony itself. I highly recommend her for any wedding, except Jewish or Catholic of course! Sophie is a very nice lady and easy to work with. -

Vow renewal
Rev. Sofie is amazing! She performed our marriage ceremony on the beach 10 years ago and then our vow renewal last month. It rained all afternoon the day of the vow renewal she tried to wait it out with us but when it didn't stop she helped us find a pavilion with beach in the background. She made sure everything was what we wanted for the ceremony! Such as sweet lady!! -

Reverend Sophie had a prototype for our wedding which we used to make the changes we wanted for our purposes. she met with us so we could get to know each other then she performed a lovely ceremony. very happy with the whole package. -

We had a beach wedding with 31 people in attendance. Booking everything on-line from Ohio, was nerve wracking, but from the moment we sat down and talked, we were so comfortable, and our minds were instantly put at ease! We couldn't have asked for a better person to preform our ceremony! -

A Beautiful Ceremony
Susan (Sophie) was a godsend to our ceremony. She was professional, helpful, and delivered the perfect ceremony. We wrote and assembled our vows with her help, and included her favorite "sand ceremony" as a part of the wedding. -

Rev. Susan (Sophie) was so kind. This was my second marriage and I was nervous, she talked to me at great lengths on the phone about it. I instantly felt a connection with her, it was like chatting with a lifelong friend. She was very accommodating and made recommendations about locations only after being asked. 35 Years in the Making
Rhonda and I dated in college. Then, life got in the way. 35 years later we found each other again. When we knew we were going to get married, EVERYTHING had to be perfect. The venue, the ceremony, and especially the officiant. Fortunately, everything was indeed perfect, the beach at LBK, the ceremony, and most importantly, Reverend Sophie. She helped me write the ceremony, answered all my questions, recommended a great photographer to capture our day, and even invited us into her home the day before our wedding. We could not have been more pleased. If you’re planning a wedding around Sarasota, Reverend Sophie will make sure your special day is perfect as well. Thank you, Reverend Sophie.! Great Officiant!
Sophie was fast, responsive, thorough, kind and professional right from the start! She had several ceremonies to choose from and then let us modify the one that best fit us. The ceremony was sweet and intimate with just 3 of us on the beach in Siesta Key. Sophie went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect; even taking pictures for us! -

Revern Susan was such a easy person to work with. Being from the Washington DC area she was able to make everything easy for us and answer all questions. We began the search for a wedding officiant about 4 months prior to our wedding date. We were immediately drawn to all the posts on Reverend Sophie's website. All the pictures and testimonials from people who had her conduct their ceremonies convinced us to contact her. We were so pleased that everything we had read about Reverend Sophie was absolutely true. She is genuinely interested in the people and does everything she can to make the event special. Once we actually met her two days before our wedding, we knew we had make the right choice. Planning a wedding that will take place in another state is definitely a stressful time. Reverend Sophie's kind nature and genuine interest in creating a memorable event was truly a blessing. Reverend Susan made us feel so relaxed enabling us to enjoy our vow renewal ceremony so much. Along with her friend Nancy (photographer) we found the prefect spot on the beach after they travelled to meet us at Anna Maria Island. The ceremony also included Reverend Susan's special unity shell which was a lovely touch and a beautiful gift to us. We cannot recommend her thoughtful and special services enough. -

We found Susan online and simply emailed back and forth and spoke as needed and set our wedding plans in place easily. She was so sweet, flexible and knowledgeable, really walked us through everything. Most of all Susan added to the excitement and joy of the occasion. So glad we chose her. -

What started out as just a dream idea I had to surprise my husband of 5 years on our anniversary with a Vow Renewal, was actually a dream come true, with the help of Rev Susan! From the moment I contacted her via email, she was immediately helpful to me, from determining what service I may be interested in, flexibility determining my dates, and even helping me determine how to make this a SURPRISE for my husband. We pulled it off! What a beautiful surprise it was to him to have Rev Susan marry us on our favorite place, Siesta Key Beach near sunset on that beautiful October Sunday! We were a bit nervous, not sure what we wanted or to expect and she made us feel at ease with a beautiful ceremony and keepsake gift! We couldn’t have asked for a more appropriate intimate ceremony for just the two of us! Thank you for giving us such a lovely ceremony for two very nervous people who wanted to re-commit to each other our love and commitment. You are someone we hope can be a lifelong friend! Susan was so amazing---our wedding on the beach Anna Maria Island could not have been any more SPECIAL. We came from Indiana to Florida to be married, I had talked too several other Ministers, but nothing "CLICKED" when talking to them. The first time I spoke to Susan----I KNEW she was the one, it felt like I had known her all my life. Rev.Susan was absoulty awesome. I would and do recommend her to all. She is extremely easy to speak with and quite knowledgeable of what she is doing and of the arearth and vendors who can supply services. For example, about 10 days out we decided to try and find a photographer. From half a world away she recomended Nancy of Elan photography. It's also important to note that the service she provided was simple and elegant. It allowed us to add and delete this , if we wanted, easily. But what I think it really boils down to is intangibles Rev. Susan offered, and these came from her and her personality. She made it easy. She is easy to talk to, and this I personally found to be quite enjoyable. She always had our best in trestles at hart, and truly cared about our needs and concerns. The fee she charged was minimal, but what we got was so much more than what we paid for. The service went off with out a hitch. It was laid back, informal, and had a relaxed sense about it. It was fun and funny. It was an experience that neither I nor my wife will always remember and never forget. Rev.Susan, and Nancy, were the ingredient as well as the glue which allowed all this to happen. With out her I know our experience never would have been as great as it was. For this I am grateful to her and Nancy.
Without a doubt I would and do recomended both Rev. Susan and Nancy to any and everyone that may be planning a wedding, or any formal event. These two people are absoultly grate. They have your best intrests at heeart and that concern is always out infront. They provide a service with a truly uniquely personal touch. I can promise you that it is money well spent and you to will find you are getting more than what you paid for.

Rev. Sophie performed our wedding service on AMI and it was perfect. We had a destination wedding with all our friends and family traveling from Illinois but the service was personal and Rev Sophie was so genuine and kind it didn't feel like a she was a stranger. We invited her to our reception and she even danced the night away with us! I had such an amazing time on AMI I'm already planning our 10 year vow renewal and definitely hope Rev Sophie can be a part of it. I feel confident referring her to anyone. -

Rev. Susan was very flexible and accommodating. The entire week before our wedding, the Sarasosta area was amidst a tropical depression with monsoon-like rains. We needed to find a window of time when there was a possible break in the rain, in order to have our ceremony on the beach. Rev. Susan assisted us with this, and suggested a timeframe for the ceremony - which turned out to be the perfect window of time. -

I can not say enough about Rev. Sophie. I live in Ohio and wanted to get married in Siesta Key. I found a recommendation for Rev. Sophie and contacted her. She responded quickly and I was very confident that I had chosen the right person after our first conversation. She is a wonderful lady and made both my husband and I very comfortable making every effort to make sure our ceremony was just how we wanted it. Our ceremony was just perfect. My mother could not travel with us but we called her on our cell phone and Rev. Sophie was nice enough to tuck the phone in her notebook. My mom felt like she was there with us. When I left Florida I felt like I had made a new friend. -

We chose to have our wedding on a private island with Rev. Susan "Sophie" with just the 3 of us. She walked us through everything the days prior to the wedding, so there were no surprises when the day came. She was very patient and flexible with us...we called her last minute on the day of the wedding because rain was in the forecast, she dropped what she was doing to make it to us before the rain! Susan had been so helpful since the first conversation. After that at every phone call she was very enthusiastic and passionate, made me feel that our wedding is very valued and important.She provided all information and explained the whole procedure of the marriage licence.Doing this she made this process quick and stress free as I knew what to expect. I organised this wedding on my own as it was a surprise for my
wife, she supported me so much with all her help and advices. When we arrived to America, we met her in person. Rev. Susan. What can I say? Once marriage equality finally became a reality here in Florida we began thinking about what we wanted to do. The idea of just going to a Clerk of Courts left us underwhelmed so I did a Google search, hit the 'I'm feeling lucky' tab, and there she was!

Susan was great! She helped clarify the procedure and really put our minds at ease. She had excellent advice on what to do and what not to do on the day and was always available for questions whether through email or through the phone.

Our very simple beach wedding attended by our friends and family was all that Dave and I could have asked for and more. When planning an event like our wedding from hundreds of miles away, you never know exactly how things are going to turn out. We couldn't have been happier working with Rev. Bierker. Her knowledge of the Sarasota area and of wedding ceremonies in general was amazing and her suggestions were invaluable. Our day wouldn't have been the truly perfect day it was without her help and counsel. If I could give her higher than a five on the scale I would. Her genuine interest in us as a couple and in our wedding was amazing, certainly more than we expected for a destination wedding.
The weekend of our wedding there was a huge festival in Siesta Key, we ran into several issues - changing beaches at the last minute, traffic problems - Rev. Bierker's flexibility, suggestions, and overall involvement made our day turn out absolutely perfect. For anyone planning a destination wedding or even if you live in the area - I HIGHLY recommend Rev. Bierker - you will not be disappointed with her services and friendly, caring personality. -

Rev. Sophie was great! She officiated our wedding vow renewal ceremony on Siesta Key Beach. She allowed us to meet with her at her home before the wedding (at her suggestion) so that we could introduce ourselves and get to know each other a little better before the ceremony. She was very accommodating as far as the time and location. Rev. Sophie gave us guidance for where and when to have the ceremony as well. She was right on time that morning and did a wonderful job. -

Disappointed
Truly disappointed in Rev Sophie. Our Wedding was supposed to be Labor Day weekend (today) but, due to the pending Hurricane Dorian and the state of Emergency called by Gov. DeSantis we decided is was safest to cancel and prepare our home and family for what could have been a direct hit from a Cat 5 Hurricane. We contacted Rev Sophie on Thursday 4 days before the ceremony and told her the news. Of course, we are devastated that we had to cancel our wedding. It was just going to be an intimate ceremony with myself, my husband to-be, Rev Sophie and the photographer on the beach. Rev Sophie refuses to give us our money back. She has said that we are welcome to drive down to Sarasota (we live over 2 hours away) and she will do the ceremony but, she will not refund due to the Hurricane and state of emergency. We did ask her if she wanted to come up here and do the ceremony because we will no longer be able to reschedule our destination wedding. I am heart broken I had to cancel my wedding that I have been planning for a year and I can not believe that a Rev a person of God is unwilling to understand that an Act of God is not something we can control. Please think twice before trusting this woman with your special day. I wish we had. Truly disappointed. -
