Elopement ceremony by Michael
I found Michael online and reached out to ask if he could officiate our elopement. From the very first conversation, I was impressed by his professionalism and his genuine love for the marriage process. He was extremely attentive to details and any special elements we wanted to include, and he was always responsive, respectful, and easy to work with throughout the planning process.
During the ceremony, he was highly professional while also knowing exactly when to add light humor during tense or very serious moments. He made everyone laugh and instantly put us at ease.
The speech he wrote was incredibly moving and brought me to tears. I am so grateful that he was part of our ceremony. I would 100% recommend Michael to anyone looking for a reliable, creative, passionate, and truly professional minister who seems to really genuinely care about the process from the beginning until the very end!

He was extremely easy to get in touch with and was an excellent communicator throughout our planning process. He genuinely cares about people and conducting an excellent service for you. Rev. Michael was great from the start. He walked us through all the paperwork and things we needed to get done before and after. He made getting an officiant for our wedding the easiest part of the planning process. Amazing Officiant!
Rev. Michael was absolutely amazing to work with! From the very first meeting he was very easygoing and we knew he would be our choice!
During the process of planning a wedding a lot of tasks can easily fall through the cracks, however, Rev. Michael was so on point with sending us the reminder emails to make sure we stayed on track with the draft and reading choices he had provided. And although we didn't provide things in a timely manner he was always so quick to respond and stay on top of things.
This is one vendor/person I did not have to stay on top of, or have to be chasing.
During our ceremony, he conducted everything beautifully and is very comfortable with large crowds and even said a few words in Spanish and Portuguese (as per our request).
We highly recommend Rev. Michael! Our ceremony was everything I had ever dreamed of!

We had the pleasure of working with Rev. Michael Savage for our wedding on 5/30/25 at Edgewood Country Club, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We initially chose him because he officiated our brother's wedding and did such a wonderful job.
From our first meeting, he was incredibly organized, prepared, and easy to work with. He guided us through every step of the ceremony planning process, offering thoughtful suggestions while always keeping our preferences front and center. His professionalism and calm presence helped make the whole experience stress-free.
What stood out most, though, was the ceremony itself. Rev. Michael delivered something so personal and heartfelt that it felt like he had known us our whole lives. It was warm, meaningful, and beautifully done. So many of our guests commented on how special the ceremony felt.

Rev. Savage was amazing! Before our big day even came, he made sure that we were happy with our ceremony details - he sent back and forth multiple drafts to make sure everything was perfect. The communication was amazing. On the day of our wedding, he made sure we were calm, collected, and comfortable before the ceremony. The weather for our ceremony was a bit bitter (we had it outside) and he was able to quickly make changes to ensure that us and our guests were able to get through the ceremony comfortably. His execution and professionalism make him highly recommendable. We cannot thank him enough and we are so happy we chose him to perform our ceremony!

Reverend Savage was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely thorough & communicative throughout the entire process of applying for our licesne, the timing of when to apply for the license in our specific town that we live in & in the town we got married in. On the day of the wedding, Rev. Savage was a calming presence on an EXTREMELY hot day. He was flexible with making changes on the fly to the ceremony to make up for the heat. After the wedding was over, he immediately followed up & let us know what our next steps were with the license & even got me started on changing my name. My husband & I could not recommend him more.

He provides step by step instructions, detailed ceremony templates you can customize, and special ceremony options. He is extremely professional and provides exceptional service. Rev is amazing! We looked into working with Rev when my fiancé and I first got engaged, but ultimately decided to have a family friend officiate. Less than 5 months out, it did not work out with our original officiant. Luckily, Rev was available and saved the day for us and immediately put our minds at ease. It was meant to be! He is so professional, friendly, and responsive. People would tell me that it's better to have someone you know officiate, but after our initial phone call, it seemed like we had known him forever with how effortless our conversation was. Rev helped turn this process around for us and answered all of our questions. On our wedding day it rained and luckily Rev was prepared and has our ceremony script completely laminated! He even sent us a bunch of recommendations for spots during our honeymoon. Thank you!

I'm so happy that we found Michael to officiate our wedding this November. From the beginning of the planning process, Michael was very responsive and made time to review the process with us in detail and get to know us as a couple. He answered all our questions and was very helpful in explaining how we needed to obtain and file our marriage license. Our ceremony planning was very flexible. My husband and I wanted a simple, non-denominational ceremony and Michael was very accommodating. He let us customize everything! Leading up to the ceremony, we exchanged texts and calls. Michael is always quick to respond. On the wedding day, he arrived about an hour before the ceremony which was very comforting so we could get everything organised ahead of time. My husband and I got married in September of 2023 and Rev. Michael Savage made our ceremony fabulous. Once we spoke to him we knew we wanted to have him marry us- his personalty, his inquisitiveness about us and a couple, to the actual execution of the ceremony, it was a delight from start to finish. We had 3 members at our wedding come up to us and say they really enjoyed the delivery of the ceremony because of Rev. Michael Savage. Any time we had revisions, questions or concerns he consistently called and/or texted us to make sure everything was rectified and/or the questions answered, always in a timely manner. Reverend. Michael Savage was the absolute best person we could have asked for when it came to officiating! Throughout our wedding process he was extremely accessible, knowledgeable, personable and communicative. Amazing officiant and man!
While my husband and I were looking for officiants, we were scared we were not going to find one we both agree on! After meeting with Reverend Michael once, we got off that call and immediately knew we wanted him to officiate our wedding! He was so helpful during our wedding process and even gave us his personal cell phone number if we had any questions. He always answered immediately! He made our wedding process and wedding run so smoothly- he never had us worried or stressed out! He is an amazing choice as an officiant and he is also a wonderful man! Even after our wedding, he gave us some good food spots for where we were traveling on our honeymoon! It does not get better than that! You can tell he truly cares about the couples he marries! We are so glad we chose Reverend Michael to officiate our ceremony on 9/23/22! From the first video call we had with him, we knew he would be the right choice for us. Working with Rev. Michael was such a pleasure! From our first conversation we knew that we wanted him to be our Officiant. He was very professional and easy to talk to. He explained everything thoroughly (from his role, ceremony format etc.). He guided us step by step with easy to follow instructions. We were allowed to play an integral part in providing input to the actual ceremony details. As such we were able to make the ceremony highly personalized,
Rev. Michael also provided useful information regarding how (and where) to apply for our marriage license and certificate. This made our lives much easier.

Amazing Officiant!
Rev. Michael officiated our June 2022 wedding. From the very begging, working with Rev Michael was such a pleasure. We knew we wanted him ti officiate our wedding immediately after our first phone call.
My husband and I wanted an interfaith ceremony (Christian and Jewish) and Rev Michael worked with us to make sure the ceremony was the perfect mix of both traditions. Both sides of the family loved the ceremony and thought it was a great representation of both faiths. He also did an amazing job of reading the crowd during the ceremony. It was an extremely hot day and everyone was sweating (mostly myself and my husband). Rev Michael moved everything along very quickly, but not in a way that felt super rushed. It was the perfect speed given the situation and everyone was very appreciative. Thank you Rev Michael!

Reverend Savage takes his role in your wedding very seriously. Not only does he take the time to meet with you (more than once if you prefer), but he is constantly in contact with you via email to answer any questions you have. He makes sure you have a complete partnership on how your ceremony will go and doesn't force anything on you. I can't stress enough how professional and seamless he made the process leading up to our wedding day.
On the day of our wedding, everyone in attendance swore that he was a member of the family or close friend because of how passionate he was while he was up there with us during our ceremony. He truly does make you feel like family.
Reverend Savage has a knack for being funny, sentimental and making everyone feel like their at home. You would not be sorry having him officiate your wedding!

We honestly could not have been happier.
Hands down above and beyond what we could have ever expected. All meetings were virtual during which we knew Rev. Savage was going to be a good match but then we met in person day of and we honestly were blown away. He is personable, well spoken, and genuinely just a great guy. He will take care of all of your requests, and make sure they are carried out. My wife wanted us to switch sides for the ceremony as she calls it - her good side is on her right which she wanted facing the audience. Rev. Savage ensured the venue followed her wishes. We hired Michael after finding him through Wedding Wire. We were pleased with other reviews we read, so we set up a Zoom meeting to go over our ceremony with him that we were having at the Park Savoy Chapel. Rev Michael was great! He was responsive and patient through the whole planning process. My husband and I wanted a shorter ceremony to accommodate time for our vows and two readings. Rev Michael took that into account and was open to feedback regarding the timing and gave us many suggestions with the wording of the ceremony! He also gave wonderful feedback on certain changes (for instance we originally had him standing in the front as our wedding party entered and he insisted on walking down the aisle first, which ended up being wonderful to tell our guests to start the ceremony. It also took some nerves off my mom and brother who would have walked out first!) He was even kind enough to step aside at the end of the ceremony when we had our first kiss! We had a smooth and great experience with Rev. Michael!

A true blessing in our special day.
From the very beginning, my husband & I knew instantly that Reverend Michael would be our officiant. Sounds cliché but it was a “when you know, you know” moment! Our first meeting took place through zoom yet it felt as if we already have met before. Reverend Michael made us feel 110% comfortable & not judgmental at all in combining our 2 different religions (Catholic & Muslim). We felt the great vibes immediately & knew he would make our ceremony perfect. He guided us in choosing the best blessings for our readings, while also making each one feel like our own personalized prayers. Spiritual but also realistic to our long-term relationship. We are/will be forever grateful to have had Reverend Michael be such an important part of our special day. Our guests have been & still are complimenting us on our ceremony, telling us it was the most beautiful they’ve ever witnessed! What a beautiful feeling that is. Elegant & ethereal. Reverend Michael’s professionalism in combination with our chosen readings/blessings certainly left a lasting impression. He arrived early before our ceremony & made an intimate visit afterwards as well. This meant a lot to us. Our hearts will be filled with love forever knowing that we truly enjoyed every moment as much as our loved ones did! Most importantly- he laughed as much as we do! What a perfect day! We cannot thank Reverend Michael enough.

Outstanding Ceremony

The perfect officiant!
Look no further. Everything was absolutely perfect with Rev. Michael Savage. He is very friendly and super easy to get along with. As soon as we met him on zoom, we knew he would be perfect as our officiant. He provides so many options to customize your ceremony to make it how you want it! He is very good with public speaking and makes you feel very comfortable. My husband and I are very happy that we picked him. He is also very helpful in how to apply for marriage certificate, how to change your name and for any questions you might have! I would highly, highly recommend him.

The start to the best night of our lives!
Arguably the most important aspect of any wedding celebration is the act of marrying the couple. Not only does it officially unite husband and wife legally and spiritually, but the ceremony sets the tone for the rest of the celebrations that immediately follow. With that being said, we could not have imagined any other person marrying us other than Reverend Michael Savage. Mike was the first and only officiant we met with; after our initial consultation, we felt an instant connection with him largely due to his friendly, down to earth demeanor. We were confident in booking him without even “shopping around” for anyone else and we were right in doing so. From beginning to end, Mike made the entire process of getting married super easy. He provided clear instructions, timelines, frequently asked questions and his professional advice helped guide us to create a customized ceremony. He was especially helpful with all of the paperwork and rescheduling due to the pandemic of 2020. Through it all, Mike was communicative, supportive, and a true partner. We received so many compliments on our ceremony from our guests and that truly set the stage for the best night of our lives!

Look no further; he is everything you could ever want in an officiant, and more!
At first we were stressed out with the idea of having a "complete stranger" be the one to marry us and play such an important role in our day. But then we came across Reverend Michael! He made us feel so comfortable. It's like his goal is truly to tailor your ceremony to your individualized wants and needs. He had such a variety of content to choose from, and allows you to build a script that was as religious/not religious as you desired. Some officiants like to speak off the cuff and "make it about them", but not Reverend Michael. He stuck to the script and executed our vision perfectly. He treated us like we were his friends and equals, but yet was so professional in his email responses, his punctuality, his attire, and his directions on how to obtain the marriage license documents. We are beyond pleased with our choice. You will NOT be disappointed if you choose Rev. Michael as your officiant. I will be recommending him to all family and friends.

Reverend Savage is wonderful!! He is so kind and so great to work with! He has an excellent sense of humor and a captivity about him that really kept my guests engaged during our ceremony. He made my husband and I feel so comfortable and helped us with getting our wedding license, gave me instructions on how to change my last name once we’re married, etc. He was extremely helpful! Experience, experience, experience! Reverend Savage provides you with someone who understands wedding ceremonies and how to conduct them in a professional manner. He is there every step of the way from helping you get the marriage certificate to setting up the ceremony the way you want. He answers all the questions you have and puts you at ease if you have any worries about how the ceremony will go. He is funny, down to earth, and patient. Best Officiant!
Rev. Michael officiated our weddings and was absolutely amazing! I say "weddings" because our original wedding at our venue got postponed due to COVID19. When we decided to get married in our backyard on our original wedding date, he was nice enough to come to our house to officiate our wedding! Thankfully he was also available for our new date at the venue. He did a phenomenal job at both! He is very personable, organized, thorough with the process, and makes you feel completely comfortable, as it can be nerve wracking standing up front and center in front of your whole family to recite your vows! Without a doubt I would recommend Rev. Michael to anyone who is getting married and looking for an officiant!

Flawless, Start to Finish
Mike couldn’t have been more helpful, professional, and competent. We truly lucked out that he was listed on our venue’s recommended vendor list!! From guiding us through the marriage licensing process, to meeting, to fully transparent emailing, and to TWO ceremonies (thanks Covid), Mike was on point at every step. More on the Covid situation, Mike came to our home to do our ceremony on the original date, and did our “renewal” at the venue roughly a year later. Even with that curveball, we never felt like Mike had forgotten about us, he took it in stride. On top of it all, he’s a great guy, very easy to trust. I’d recommend him to anyone. In fact, a friend reached out to me after our wedding for his contact info, as they were so impressed and wanted him to marry him and his fiancée as well!!

He is the best officiant ever!! he is very professional, and funny. he responded in a timely manner and made me feel like I was #1 priority. The different options he provides you with for the speech is amazing, it covers every side of the ceremony, whether that be religious, laid back or a combination of both! Even then, there were so many different combinations you could do!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better officiant to marry me and my husband. I’m so glad that we chose him! He made the ceremony run smoothly and is a great speaker! also, I loved that there were many different options of payment methods for him, it made everything easy. and the fact that he took care of all the paperwork was amazing since it was hectic before and after the wedding with planning everything. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone and EVERYONE to use him as your officiant! do yourself a favor, and book him! you will not regret it! and you’ll be thanking yourself that you used him to marry you! Just wanted to write on here too, just to thank him so much for everything he has done for us and we will never forget how helpful he was for everything! it was amazing!!!!

Made our special day even more special!
My husband and I knew Reverend Savage was going to be the perfect addition to our special day within minutes of our first meeting. He is extremely personable and made us feel comfortable right away. Our meetings were through FaceTime/ phone calls (he offered a variety of ways to communicate with him, that was just my preferred method) & he still came to our wedding even though it was during a pandemic. We truly appreciated and loved his services. He really really listens to you. Between my questions and requests, he took it all in and delivered something so special at our ceremony that made everyone laugh & cry and it didn't take him over 30 minutes to do all that. The ceremony was short, sweet and exactly what we wanted.
We liked him so much from the start that I referred his services to someone else weeks before he officiated at our wedding!

Great officiant!!
Reverend Michael Savage was absolutely amazing to work with. From our first meeting we knew we liked him. He was super friendly and very organized and knowledgeable. He was able to walk us through all of our options for our ceremony type (religious or non- religious) and even had great input for how our ceremony could be run (like processional orders and such). He made it so easy for us to get our marriage license and certificate too by telling us exactly who to contact in which county. The day of our wedding he was also fantastic. We had religious elements to our ceremony but he also kept it light hearted and funny and took the time to personalize the ceremony to us. Overall I would highly recommend him to any one, even family and friends who are getting married.

Beautiful Ceremony
I can't say enough about how wonderful Rev. Michael Savage is! Like so many, our wedding was cancelled due to covid. We ended up having a small ceremony at our home on a different date, but our officiant was unable to switch the day. After scrambling around I was lucky enough to find Rev. Savage. He was amazing!! He fit us in on such a short time frame. He was available for any questions I might have. He returned texts or calls immediately. The ceremony was beautifully done, so much so that our entire family complimented it! We were so glad to have Rev. Savage be a part of our special day. I highly recommend working with him, you won't regret it!!

Nice experience
We planned to have our wedding in the summer of 2020 and didn’t want the pandemic to stop us. Marriage Bureau in NYC has been closed since the end of March so we decided to find an officiant and have a simple ceremony in Jersey City. It’s a great pleasure to have Rev. Micheal Savage as our officiant. He is super helpful and considerate. He gave us instructions before and after the ceremony about how to do the paper work and request for copies of the certificate. The ceremony was brief and professional. We would like to recommend Rev. Michael Savage as a marriage officiant.

Rev. Savage made our COVID wedding the best/easiest decision!
We first met Rev. Michael Savage about a year ago via a video call, chatted about how we met and what we wanted for our day and booked May 22, 2020. He was so helpful along the way, walked us through getting our marriage license, creating the ceremony plans, process to change my name, basically everything we could possibly need help with! When we had to cancel our wedding because of COVID, we rescheduled for next year, and of course he was so supportive and saved our new date but in the meantime offered us some advice and let us know what his other couples were doing. Instead of waiting another year for the wedding we decided to elope. Originally we talked about going to the beach and doing a destination elopement. Rev. Michael helped us find out information on getting an out of state marriage license. When we ultimately decided to elope right at home, he was there for us! Kept our May 22, 2020 day, got married at our apartment, even had our dogs as a bridesmaid and groomsman. I can't recommend Rev. Michael enough, he was available to us during the fun times and the confusing times, for the cancelling, the rescheduling and the many plan changes. And our mini ceremony at home was wonderful! We are super excited to have our big wedding next year, but we're so thankful to Rev. Michael to help us keep our original date and get married no matter what was going on in the crazy world around us!

Definitely wouldn’t of wanted anyone else to officiate
It was great working with Michael! At first I didn’t know how I would feel having an officiant that I didn’t know marry us, but Michael was the perfect fit! He made us feel comfortable right away and was very easy to work with and very accommodating! He guides you through the whole process and sends you ideas so that you can put together your ideal ceremony! He will even give you direction on getting your license and what to do post marriage. We hired Michael before the pandemic for our June wedding and we unfortunately had to postpone the ceremony/reception at the Rockleigh, however Michael still married us on our date and accommodated the pricing for us. Although, the ceremony had to be brief he still met all my expectations and made my day less stressful. Can’t wait for part 2 next year!

Great to work with!
Reverend Mike was very helpful and compassionate - always checking in and making us feel at ease. Not only did he help us with the ceremony processes (readings, suggestions, etc.), but with the legal process as well. He was extremely responsive and helped make our ceremony feel like "us." We even had to make some last minute changes, which he incorporated quickly. He made us feel cared for as a couple. Would 100% recommend!
