It's a testament to Rev. Laura that not only were my husband and I delighted to work with her and pleased with the ceremony that she helped us create but I continue to receive 'rave reviews' from my guests. "Ann and I can't even estimate how many weddings we have been to. Your wedding is at the top of our list. We are still talking about your vows." "A beautiful and touching ceremony." "It was obvious that she has known and loved you both for years."
Rev. Laura was able to meet with us on fairly short notice (less than 30 days); we instantly felt comfortable and relaxed with her. We collaborated on what parts of a ceremony we wanted to incorporate. While both Bride and Groom are Jewish, we had promised family in Israel that we would have a Jewish wedding next year over there. We didn't want to wait and were 'settling' for a civil ceremony.
We collaborated on what parts of a ceremony we wanted to incorporate; with Rev. Laura's help, we were able to achieve a blending of civil and spiritual, Jewish and non-denominational elements that was extremely meaningful to us and to our assembled family and satisfying emotionally, if not halachically binding. (Although one guest commented on how nice our "Rabbi" was.)

Rev.Laura was our favorite vendor to work with. Besides being a wonderful person, she also listened to our thoughts. She incorporated a wine and rose ceremony--something you don't usually see at weddings. I received so many compliments about the ceremony. Our guests thought it was a wonderfully presented ceremony. Rev. Laura even helped calm my husband down (who I was told was a nervous wreck, but I would have never known!) The ceremony is something we will remember forever.

MY FIANCEE AND I, THOUGH RAISED CATHOLIC, WERE NOT PRACTICING CATHOLICS AND DID NOT BELONG TO A CHURCH. WE WERE REFERRED TO REV. LAURA BY THE VANDIVER, WHERE WE WERE MARRIED. WE MET REV. LAURA IN HER HOME AND FOUND HER TO BE VERY WARM AND DOWN TO EARTH. SHE WAS NOT JUDGEMENTAL OF US FOR NOT BELONGING TO A CHURCH AND OPEN TO OUR IDEAS AND BELIEFS. SHE WAS INTERESTED IN US AND EVERYTHING CONCERNING OUR UPCOMING MARRIAGE. SHE WAS ALWAYS VERY ACCESSIBLE FOR QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS. A VERY MEMORABLE MOMENT FROM OUR WEDDING, CONCERNED MY FIANCEE'S 9 YR. OLD SON AND BEST MAN, WHO RIGHT BEFORE THE CEREMONY, INSISTED HE HAD TO GO TO THE BATHROOM. INSTEAD OF ALLOWING MY FIANCEE TO TAKE HIM AND RISK SEEING THE BRIDE, SHE TOOK HIM HERSELF! OUR GUESTS WILL NOT ONLY REMEMBER THE RECEPTION BUT THE CEREMONY AS WELL. SHE TALKED (NOT PREACHED) TO OUR GUESTS, AS WELL AS US, CONCERNING COMMON DIFFICULTIES WITH MARRIAGE. SHE INCLUDED OUR GUESTS IN THE CEREMONY. THEY WILL SURELY REMEMBER HER ROSE CEREMONY PORTION IN WHICH WE EXCHANGED ROSES AND PROMISED TO ALWAYS HAVE A SPOT FOR ROSES FOR THOSE TIMES WHEN THE WORDS "I'M SORRY" AND "I LOVE YOU". DON'T COME EASILY. WE FEEL WE HAVE MADE A NEW FRIEND IN REV. LAURA AND WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND HER TO MAKE YOUR SPECIAL DAY EVEN MORE SPECIAL.

My husband and I were devastated when our original officicant canceled two weeks prior to our wedding. In search of a replacement, Rev. Laura came highly recommended by two of our vendors. Within very short notice, Rev. Laura quickly relieved our stress and put our mind at ease. She was genuine and professional the entire time. She is full of positive energy and high sprits. We really enjoyed the ceremony and how unique it was to our personality and spiritual level. We also received many compliments from our guests. Without a doubt, Rev. Laura was a main factor in making our day special.

Rev. Laura was wonderful to work with, very friendly and easy to talk to. She had great ideas and was very receptive to ours. She helped us create a beautiful ceremony that was meaningful and symbolic. So many of the guests told us later how lovely they thought the ceremony was.

Laura rocked the house! She was wonderful, personable, took the time to get to know us before the ceremony, and spoke as if she had known us for years. Our guests loved her speech and delivery, and thought she was amazing. It was casual and elegant all at the same time, which was exactly what we were going for. She was extremely responsive throughout the entire process. You can't go wrong in choosing her!

Reverend Laura is fantastic! Even when I changed the ceremony at literally the last minute - she accepted what I wanted and made the adjustments and the ceremony still appeared seamless. She is friendly and compassionate. We enjoyed working with her and I gladly recommend her.

Rev. Laura Cannon is an unbelievable officiant! One of our biggest concerns with our wedding was finding someone to perform the ceremony since we don't belong to a church. We were worried that it would seem impersonal and generic and it gave me the most anxiety of all the wedding decisions! Finding Rev. Laura put all of my worries away. Meeting with her in her home, I quickly realized that she was genuinely interested in getting to know the dynamics of the relationship I share with my (now) husband, and creating the perfect ceremony for us. I am more religious than my husband is, and she helped us to navigate our individual spirituality to create a ceremony we were both comfortable with.
We also used her for some premarriage coaching to get some tips on communication. This was extremely helpful in the midst of all the wedding planning to get some perspective on what is REALLY important in the whole crazy process. It's so easy to get all caught up in what flowers to use in your centerpieces or what entree to serve, but in the end, what matters is the foundation you are building with your partner for the future. It really helped us to refocus on what is important to the two of us, to define what we want our MARRIAGE to be about. This was also extremely helpful to us in writing our vows. I highly recommend Rev Laura for both performing the ceremony but also for this great service!

Rev. Laura Cannon is a wonderful and creative person who is so comfortable and relaxed. Calm, Cool and Collected! Our wedding ceremony was so wonderful. I often think of some of the phrases that Rev. Cannon mentioned during the ceremony. "The little things are the big things", the "exquisite excitements marriage will bring" to us...just to name a couple. It so happened our wedding was performed outdoors and sprinkling started to occur so Rev. Cannon has the ability to smoothly transition the rest of the ceremony into a short and sweeter version so that everyone would not get caught outside in a down pour. And not only is she welcoming and friendly, she accomodated us for a "dry run" of the ceremony a couple of days prior to the ceremony.

Rev. Laura did a great job with our non-denominational ceremony. We had one meeting with her in her home where we talked about what type of ceremony we wanted. She was very friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. From there, she sent us an initial draft and we emailed back and forth until we were happy with the ceremony. On the day of, she arrived on time and really imbued a lot of meaning into the ceremony with her delivery.

Reverand Laura was amazing! I first saw her when she officiated a coworker's wedding and I was so impressed at how individualized the ceremony seemed and that it was spiritual and not preachy. I left a voicemail for her when I became engaged and she responded that day and we were able to set up a meeting very quickly. She was very organized when it came to presenting the ceremony but also had a nice, relaxed attitude. As the wedding got closer we had to make some changes and she had absolutely no problems with it and made some helpful suggestions. On the day of the wedding she came in focused but also had a relaxed and very caring attitude that made me feel very special. During the wedding (which was held in our backyard) the neighbors nearby starting singing Happy Birthday. Instead of getting flustered she actually worked it into our ceremony (the Birthday of our wedding!). Her delivery is very natural and warm and comes off very nicely rather than sounding like someone was reading. We never felt rushed or like she was just doing a job. She left with kind words and a hug and it was the most wonderful ceremony I ever could have asked for. Reverand Laura was a delight and a bargin at any price!
