Stunning Photos that Perfectly Captured Our Day!

Nathaniel does an amazing job! From the first meeting at his home, where he spent time getting to know about us and our relationship, I felt comfortable with him. His work was gorgeous and pricing was very reasonable. He is attentive to details and ensures everyone feels comfortable and are having fun while taking photos. He is very responsive via email and text and was very flexible in working with us to schedule an engagement session with a busy schedule and uncooperative weather. He even sent us a preview photo via text while he was editing!
Our wedding photos were ready so quickly! We really love the photos and think they capture the whole vibe and essence of our ceremony and reception spot on!! You can really feel everyone's personality in the candid photos plus we have the nice posed ones to give as gifts. We feel so fortunate to have these photos to look back on for years to come.

Nathaniel was positively wonderful! From the engagement shoot to our big day, we felt so at ease and comfortable with him. He was so quick to return our amazing photos to us and our wedding album as well. We highly recommend him and will certainly use him for photos in the future.

Working with Nathaniel was a breeze and our engagement pictures and wedding pictures all turned out beautifully! The value for what he provides in his packages is much better than the other photographers in the area that I got quotes from. I was a little hesitant at first because his work that is displayed on his website seems a bit older but when we met in person and he showed us all of his albums and we saw the prints he had done I was blown away! He was great at communicating and had easy forms to fill out online to make sure that we got all the pictures we wanted on our big day and was always available via text. The only miscommunication I want to mention is that I was under the impression that we would have a second shooter during the wedding. There was an assistant but she just helped with lighting. I think this was just a misunderstanding on my part so if you want to have a second shooter make sure you communicate that clearly. "Assistant" does not = "Second Shooter". It ended up not mattering because the range of photos that we received were so great. He really captured the day perfectly. Highly recommend!

Let me start off by saying that my wedding was a bit unique….A costume Halloween wedding with a comic book villain twist (Joker and Harley Quinn). Nathaniel Renouf was the perfect photographer for our fun and unique wedding. We purchased the package that included Nathaniel Renouf (lead photographer) and assistant for 10 hours, engagement session, and photo album. The engagement photos came out great. I don’t think I have pictures that I look that good in (except possibly my wedding photos). As for the wedding, Nathaniel ensured there were multiple pictures of all the wedding details (rings, flowers, invitations, program, etc.) and all the planned photos we requested. He also had his hands full with the numerous decorations including over 50 carved pumpkins, over 20 wooden “Danger”/”Beware” signs posted up the long wooded drive way, candy bar, grave yard, etc. but he got so many great pictures showing all the work we put into our décor to allow our guests to really get into the theme. The pictures of my husband and I were so much fun and really captured our unique personalities and love for each other. Both Nathaniel and his assistant were the BEST to work with!!! They knew how to make everyone smile, laugh and have a great time with the pictures and showed great enthusiasm with our entire wedding. Everyone in my wedding party loved Nathaniel and his assistant. He worked well with all our vendors…no one had anything but nice things to say about working with him. I had probably over 600 pictures to choose from in the end and can’t say there was a single bad picture. I honestly can’t say anything but nice things about Renouf photography….they are great and fun to work with, great pictures, and decently priced. I would recommend Renouf photography for any wedding (from classic and elegant to quirky and a little insane).

Nathaniel made us feel like a part of the family. My husband and I never get pictures done; however, we knew we wanted to get engagement photos done and of course have a photographer for the wedding. At the engagement shoot, he joked around and made us feel comfortable. Of course the pictures turned out fabulous and then at our wedding to be honest you wouldn't have even known he was there taking pictures. The only time was when the bridal party and my husband and I had to venture off to do photos separately and once again, he joked and made all of us feel comfortable to capture beautiful moments :) I highly recommend!

We wanted to find a photographer who was personable, creative, and would capture our special wedding moments in a fun and beautiful way. We found all of this in Nathaniel! He was extremely personable and also very professional on our wedding day. We felt very comfortable working with him, and our wedding photos turned out absolutely beautiful. It was a pleasure working with Nathaniel for our wedding photography, and we would definitely work with him again. We are so glad we invested in such a quality photographer and highly recommend Renouf Photography for your wedding photography needs.

Nathaniel and his team were incredibly professional and flexible throughout the entire wedding planning process. He would do everything in his power to meet the requests of our photography vision. On the actual wedding day, there were moments where I felt overwhelmed. However, Nathaniel stayed with me throughout the majority of day to reassure me that everything was perfect (despite the unforeseen imperfections) and that we were capturing beautiful shots. We probably appreciated his personal character the most as a vendor. If you are looking for a photographer who is not only going to provide you with quality images, but who also has true investment in making your wedding day special- Renouf Photography is the right choice!

Nathaniel is wonderful and everything I had hoped for in a photographer. He took a list of shots that I wanted and executed each one with ease and confidence. He was efficient and timely and took all the shots I wanted without having spent too much time on pictures which left us plenty of time to party. Worth every penny and then some.

Nathaniel was an amazing photographer! We are so glad that we used him on our wedding day. He worked with us to create a timeline on our wedding day to make sure he captured all of the special moments we wanted. Even though we were running a bit behind the morning of the wedding due to hair and makeup, he stayed calm and made sure to still take pictures of everything he knew I would want. We appreciate his work and LOVE our pictures! I would highly recommend Renouf Photography.

Nathaniel is very personable and has a way of putting you completely at ease. When my husband and I showed up to have our engagement pictures taken we were very nervous; Nathaniel talked us through the process, helped us strike natural poses, and ended up taking some of the best pictures of us we've ever had! The turn around time for the pictures was also very quick. His forte is outdoor shots but all of his work is excellent.

If you want photos that everyone will Ooh and Ahh over then Nathaniel and his team are the photographers for you! Nathaniel was a joy to work with. We did our engagement photos at a park nearby our house that was 40 miles from Stafford, and he did an amazing job. Our engagement photos were great. We then had talked to him throughout the wedding planning process and he helped out. He also looked through my pinterest board and printed out the survey I had and picture examples I had sent him. (We had two photographers and they both had everything printed out). It was fun and wonderful to see them making sure my day was exactly what I wanted it to be and had all the great shots! Nathaniel offers many different packages that come with great things. We got a package that had an engagement book and a wedding book. The price we paid and the quality of everything we got is worth every penny! I cannot thank Nathaniel and his team enough. My wedding photos are AMAZING!

Renouf Photography was the best investment I could've possibly made in my wedding day! They are highly professional, very reasonable in their prices, and exceptionally flexible. We looked at about 30 photographers total, and in the end, Renouf Photography was not only the best value, but the best quality as well. We also used them for our engagement photos to take an opportunity to get to know each other before hand and it was well worth it! They really do care and it shows in their work. I would highly recommend Renouf Photography to any one looking for a wedding photographer - there is no one better!

I can't say enough good things about Renouf Photography and the head photographer, Nathaniel. I first heard about him from a friend of a friend and I am so glad I did. Being from NOVA, I wasn't used to looking outside of the county/DC area, and would have completely missed this gem of a photographer. Beginning with my first consultation with him, I felt completely at ease. His style and vision correlated with what I wanted, but I also could tell he was great with people of all ages/backgrounds and would be wonderful for our wedding party and guests. I was right. He is calm, knows what he is doing, and has a great sense of humor (perfect for those morning-of jitters). I cannot emphasize how important it is to have a good rapport with the photographer you choose, and I felt that immediately with him. The engagement session was a lot of fun and he is VERY quick to get you the online galleries and get books published. He is knowledgeable about current trends (Pinterest anyone?) and provides buttons to easily link photos to social media sites if you so choose.
We chose to utilize a second photographer for the day and we got Linda, who was/is also fantastic. She was able to get different angles at the church ceremony and helped Nathaniel get some great shots. They make a great duo if you're interested in that option. The pricing for this type of photography and service is unparalleled in the DC area and I would whole-heartedly recommend Renouf Photography for any of your picture needs.

I cannot recommend Nathaniel enough. I've seen some beautiful wedding pictures, ranging from cheesy poses to fun and cutesy "candids". Nathaniel has a real eye for making photos seem natural but formal, while also knowing how to have fun. Included in our package was an engagement photo shoot, which we did in the fall at his parents' farm (which is also a gorgeous wedding venue, though we'd already booked another venue at that point). We had a lot of fun taking the pictures, and Nathaniel did a great job of making us feel comfortable in front of the camera (neither I nor my husband is very good at being photogenic or knowing what to in front of a camera lens). Part of the package was also having a book made with those photos, to be used as a guestbook at the wedding. The book was of exceptional quality, and the photos were absolutely gorgeous. The day of the wedding, Nathaniel was endlessly patient throughout all the stress, the family chaos (both my husband and I have massive families), and the bad weather. He even took us outside and had the two of us take photos in the pouring rain, which really sucked at the time (My poor dress!) But looking at some of the pictures now, it was completely worth it. It made for a good story, too! As my husband said, "this guy is either crazy, or a genius" - turns out, it's a great mix of both (crazy for his art). The most fun, though, was having Nathaniel hang out with my bridesmaids and me while preparing for the ceremony. I was afraid of having him be an obstacle while everyone ran around, but he really wasn't. My bridesmaids loved him (the single ones were suckers for his British accent!), and we made him an honorary bridesmaid (I'm making him a shirt and everything). All in all, I wish I could go on, but the best thank you I could give him is to have more people check him out and use his services. Seriously though, this guy is worth every penny and then some.

Nathaniel and Linda were so amazing at my wedding. They werent overbearing while photographing the special moments and then when I needed them (randomly, I might add) because I wanted to get a picture with someone, they were right near me -- ready to go! Didnt miss a beat all night! Do not pass this small group of photographers up! The quality is excellent and they are so warm and easy to work with! You wont regret!

Nathaniel and his whole team did an AMAZING job for our engagement and wedding photos! Our first meeting we had with him we knew we wanted him as a photographer. He was very open to ideas and not just doing the typical type of photoshoots(our engagement shoot was "the shining" theme!) He made my husband and I feel completely at ease through the whole process from the engagement shoot till after the wedding. Our wedding guest book(photos from our engagement shoot) was a huge hit! And our wedding photos came out completely breath taking, we couldn't of been happier! I never thought of myself as very photogenic, but man I was impressed! Every single person who sees our photos is just as in love with them as we are. Aside from being such a talented photographer, Nathaniel is just a really awesome person. And that reflects in his beautiful photographs because he doesn't treat you as someone who is just paying for a photographer. My husband and I were just able to be natural when he was taking pictures and between pictures we could all just joke around and relax(what you need on your wedding day!) We truly couldn't of been happier with how our photos(and the whole experience!) turned out :-)

Nathaniel and his assistant with Renouf Photgraphy were amazing. They made everything so easy for everyone. It rained on our day and I still wanted some outdoor pics. The photos came out great and you cannot even tell it was raining. We were able to get traditional wedding shots and some of that were unique to our style. The customer service was great and I highly recommend Renouf photography.

Nathaniel and his team took absolutely beautiful pictures for both our engagement session and wedding. My husband and I were always treated with the highest level of professionalism whether our interaction was by phone, email, or in person. Nathaniel always made us feel very comfortable and was always very patient with us. I don't particularly like to have my picture taken but I always felt at ease. He also has a really great vision of how different settings will look in photos. I would highly recommend Renouf Photography to any couple or anyone looking for a professional photographer.

Renouf Photography did an excellent job photographing our engagement session and our wedding at Rock Hill Plantation House! Nathaniel is easy to work with and very friendly. The engagement picture session was a great way to get more comfortable with each other before the wedding. For the wedding, we had a long list of desired shots and many family group pictures. Nathaniel and his assistant did a superb job of making sure they got all of the shots while staying calm and upbeat. Nathaniel was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process of planning, the actual wedding, post-wedding picture selections and editing, and album design. Our album and professional prints were sent to us quickly, and everything looks great!

Nathaniel and Hannah were fantastic! They helped me so much on my big day! I was so nervous and didn't know what to expect or how I wanted my pictures done and Nathaniel made my husband and I feel very comfortable and helped us come up with ideas, we were laughing the whole time. They became our friends during that experience and they are very genuine people. I would use them again over and over and recommend them to anyone.

I couldn't ask for a better experience! The photographers made us feel completely comfortable and were able to work with our unusual schedules. We got our photos a lot quicker than I imagined and the quality was fantastic. I absolutely love the album they put together and will treasure it forever. We loved the work that Renouf Photography (previously called Okodio when we used them) provided for us. The pictures were fabulous and they got our album and prints quickly to us. They are a family business which we loved and they were really fun to work with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for professional but also fun (and funny) people to hire!

Nathaniel did both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. He was absolutely amazing! We knew as soon as we met him that he was the perfect photographer. So friendly and professional and definitely knew what he was doing. Our engagement photos turned out absolutely beautiful and we couldn't wait until the wedidng day. Nathanial and his team arrived on location and really took charge. They knew exactly what photos to take and I knew that they would capture every moment. Our wedding photos turned out more beautiful than I could ever imagine! He captured every little detail and left us with hundreds of beautiful photos documenting our day. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anybody and have absolutely no complaints. Such an awesome photographer!

I have never been so happy with a photographer! From the beginning they were friendly and flexible, and have worked with us through every step. I have never been photogenic, especially in posed pictures, but there was not even one photo that I didn't like! Everything looked fabulous, and we have received so many compliments. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding photographer!

Renouf Photogragrapy is the best! Truly awesome people and amazing work! You can really tell they love what they do. They are willing to work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want and they take the time to really get to know their couples. Love them! Already have and will continue to recommend them!!

Nathaniel was fantastic to work with! He listened to my ideas, had fantastic ones of his own and helped keep my nerves in check pre-wedding. I feel like he really captured everything that was important to us. I haven't seen the hard copies yet, but I am in love with the pre-views he sent and can't wait to see the album we selected! Also, I highly recommend having a photobooth--some of the best shots of the night came from my guests letting loose and being silly in it. :)

Simply amazing. Our wedding photos were gorgeous. Nathaniel and his team are very talented and they get every detail in. Very reasonably priced. I would highly recomment them.

Nathaniel did a great job photographing my wedding. He was so easy to work with and made our engagement shoot and our wedding shoot so much fun. We were very impressed with the quality of our final prints - and so were our friends and family!

We first met Nathaniel at a friend’s party on July 4th. Nathaniel was taking pictures all night that eventually ended up on Facebook. There was an awesome shot of our dog in an Uncle Sam hat that became my husband’s phone’s background picture for a long time. It wasn’t until a few months later that we found out he was a wedding photographer. The fact that we had already met Nathaniel and we knew that he was a fun guy (that could take great photos) using him as our wedding photographer was a no-brainer. Obviously, the picture taking ability of your photographer is of upmost importance, but having a photographer with a personality was just as important to me. Because of Nathaniel and Linda I didn’t have to think or worry about a thing. They arrived at the hotel while we were still in the salon and went to the room to take pictures of my dress, the flowers, etc. They were able to fit in pictures of the girls “getting ready” before we left to take pictures at JMU. It was hot and the sun was beating down on us, and being in a hundred pound dress I soon found myself suffering from a bit of sun poisoning. Nathaniel made sure I waited in the shade when possible, but got me to push through and still have some great photos taken. I was less than a happy bride at the time, but now I’m so grateful that he didn’t just give up on me and let me go back to the hotel. Before the day of the wedding Nathaniel asked about photos that I wanted to take throughout the day, and he made sure those pictures happened. If it had been up to me I would have just forgotten about it or blown it off, but now I am happy to have those photos. We also took some great "fun" photos of the bridal party, which really shows our personalities, instead of just your plain old wedding portraits. The photos are fabulous and I would highly recommend Renouf Photography to anyone that asked. As proof, my best friend is using him as her wedding photographer in November. I know she will not be disappointed!

Awesome pictures and very professional. I was so pleased with how they turned out and our photographer still keeps in touch and responds quickly to questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend him!

Nathaniel and his assistant documented our wedding wonderfully in pictures. Our wedding book is fantastic and really tells the story of our special day. They also did our engagement pictures and made a guest book with them at no extra charge! It was an amazing experience and I'm glad these photographers were there to capture it.

Nathaniel took gorgeous photos on our wedding day. They completely exceeded my expectations. He has such a great eye for lighting, color and creativity. He's an extremely pleasant person too and make our whole crew of friends and family feel at ease and relaxed when he snapped shots. We ended up with incredible photos I cherish thanks to Nathaniel. Highly, highly recommended!

Nathaniel and his team are very talented photographers. He did our engagement shoot as well. He was patient and flexible while we positioned and repositioned ourselves, changed our outfits, and had many "bloopers" due to extensive laughter. My husband and I felt like we were hanging out with old friends. The professional quality of the photos is exactly what we were hoping for. Renouf Photography is a perfect combination of contemporary and classic. The traditional feel, colors, and positioning of the photos are timeless, yet fresh and fun. I was amazed at the attention to detail that he captured. Our rings, our cake, all the small details of our decor were all captured so vividly.

We received our proofs and prints in a timely manner. Out album exceeded my expectations. It was so beautifully done. My friends and family cannot stop looking at it.

My only wish is that we had more time to do more portraits. There are many photos of the entire bridal party, but there are not many photos of just me (the bride), or romantic photos of me with my new husband. I would have liked more romantic, soft close ups of me that my parents could frame. There aren't any- and this makes me sad.

Overall, I would recommend Renouf Photography. He knows his stuff, he knows his camera, he knows his lighting, he knows his angles, and he listens to his customers.

I loved all of the photos that Nathaniel took! He got back to all my emails in a timely manner. He was also really good at getting the list of shots I wanted, which is hard to do with the chaos of the wedding day. He was even willing to look at my pinterest bored to get ideas of what I wanted.
