Perfect Background Piano for a Cocktail Party

We were hosting a catered cocktail party and wanted background piano music, a mix of Great American Songbook, light jazz, and familiar tunes played at a comfortable conversation level. Wendy Zoffer at Princeton Music Connection recommended Jonathan Benjamin. He was exactly right for the occasion. His playing created a warm, relaxed atmosphere and really enhanced the flow of the evening.

We’re glad we found Wendy and would recommend her and Jonathan for anyone planning a similar event.

Hiring the Princeton music was the best decision. Wendy was very attentive and professional since the moment I contacted her and went to the details of our event. Beautiful music!

We hired a cello/violin duo to play at our wedding ceremony this past September, and they were such a great addition! The music was beautiful, they were willing to do songs outside of a pre-selected list with no extra charge, and they were affordable for our budget. We did have the option to hire them to do our cocktail hour as well, but chose not to due to space limitations in the cocktail hour room. I would absolutely recommend Wendy and her team at Princeton Music Connection!

Lovely musicians!

We had an excellent group of musicians perform at my brother's wedding. They arrived early before the ceremony to set up and we heard them warm up & rehearse the pieces that my brother requested. We were so excited that this group is very flexible in performing different kinds of pieces aside from just classical music. My brother specifically requested our family's favorite pieces from our favorite films that we grew up watching, and Princeton Music Connection did not disappoint in their performance. Our guests also recognized the pieces being played and shared with us how lovely it was during the cocktail hour. The person in charge of coordinating (Wendy) was especially kind and very helpful. My brother had no problems communicating with her in what he wanted for this event and Wendy was very accommodating. We have also booked Princeton Music Connection in the past for my sister's wedding and they had a wonderful harpist (Karen) perform at the ceremony. Karen was very attentive in her dynamics and made sure to play softly so that her music would not drown out the words of the priest when he was talking. It was a perfect blend of music and her performance really helped shape the mood of the ceremony so that it would go smoothly by eliminating any awkward silences. We cannot recommend Princeton Music Connection enough, they really helped complete 2 separate weddings in our family and we encourage others to book them no matter the event!

Princeton Music Connection Is The Best!

Wendy and her team did a fantastic job performing at our wedding. They have a wide range of selection of instruments to choose from to perform at your wedding. Selections to pick from included strings quartet, to jazz band, and even all the way to harpist. Wendy was did a great job communicating and giving her suggestions on music selection for our wedding. She was very accommodating as we had particular sheets of music we wanted to hear during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Pricing is also very reasonable! Wendy did a fantastic job and we would highly recommend her and her organization to perform at your wedding or any events you have planned! Thank you Wendy!

String Duo for Ceremony and Cocktail Hour

We used Princeton music connection for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at Terrain in Doylestown in June 2025. Wendy was very easy to work with, and although she was not at our event given we had a violin and cello, she coordinated everything very easily with us. The live string music, in my mind, was a nice touch prior to transferring the rest of the night to the DJ. The area was fairly large so the sound didn’t carry inside from their outdoor area - but we could have had our DJ amplify them if needed. Instead our DJ played music inside while they played outside! They were able to play multiple songs that I had selected without any difficulty. Overall, the value was also great, especially in comparison to other live music vendors that I inquired with. I would use them again!

Wife’s 50th birthday party

I just had a 50th birthday party for my wife. I knew Wendy from my days with the Princeton Chamber of Commerce. She has a great reputation for being a very talented flutist. For my cocktail hour, I knew what I wanted and I wanted her and her colleague, a pianist. She was very easy to work with and quite reasonable. At the event, they created the classy environment for the cocktail I was looking for and they sound great together. My guests really enjoyed themselves and it set the tone for the rest of the evening… I highly recommend.

Wonderful!

Booking Princeton Music Connection for our wedding ceremony was one of the best decisions we made! Wendy was very responsive and helpful. The musicians, Kevin and Chris (violin and cello) were amazing. They were able to play all of our requests. Everyone commented on how beautiful the music was.

Smooth, Positive Experience!

Wendy was so easy to coordinate with. She sent over some sample videos, and we quickly settled on a musician and timeframe. The price was reasonable, and our guests enjoyed the jazz pianist during our cocktail hour and reception.

Wonderful string quartet for my wedding ceremony

Perfect touch to my bridal shower!

I had the pleasure of hiring a violinist from the Princeton Music Group to perform at a bridal shower, and I couldn't have been more impressed! From start to finish, their performance added an elegant and enchanting atmosphere to the event.
The violinist arrived well ahead of the scheduled performance time, which helped everything run smoothly. They were both professional and approachable, quickly setting up without causing any disruption. The selection of songs they played was perfectly tailored to the occasion, blending classical pieces with softer, romantic melodies that set the tone for the shower.
I highly recommend them for any event in need of refined musical ambiance—whether it be a bridal shower, wedding, or any special occasion.

Elegant Wedding Music

We knew we wanted live music for our ceremony and were also trying to figure out a way to incorporate saxophone into our music somehow without hiring a reception band, and a jazz trio for cocktail hour was the perfect way to do it! Wendy and her string trio learned all our processional and recessional songs—from country to classics—and nailed them perfectly. It just felt like such a movie scene walking down the aisle to a string trio playing Over the Rainbow. The jazz band during cocktail hour was so fun, elegant and felt like a fun way to tie in our own personal story, that we travel to the South a lot and love going to jazz shows. Wendy was easy to work with, super responsive and everyone showed up on time, and dressed accordingly. Cannot recommend enough!

Skilled Musicians for Your Special Day

As a DJ company owner, we've used the services of Princeton Music Connection several times in the past years with excellent results. Specifically, we've hired their string quartet, strings duo, and electric violinists. Company owner Wendy Zoffer is great to work with and has an amazing portfolio of musicians to select from. She is also an accomplished flute player herself!

The Company's musicians are excellent players, and always come well-dressed for the occasion.

In summary, if you're thinking about using live musicians to elevate your wedding experience, then definitely check out Princeton Music Connection!

Perfect for our garden wedding!

My husband and I hired Princeton Music Connection to play for our garden ceremony and they were absolutely wonderful! We specifically had the intermezzo quartet (Flute and string trio) and they sounded beautiful and really helped set the tone of our wedding. During the planning process, Wendy was incredibly helpful and was very willing to make any music we selected work for our ceremony, even if it wasn't part of their original repertoire. A lot of our guests have commented on how nice the live music was for our ceremony, and I couldn't recommend Princeton Music Connection more!

Exactly the music team I was looking for, for my microwedding

Wendy was great to speak with. She was always responsive and available to answer any questions I may have. I hired a solo violinist for my ceremony, Gary Ianco and a jazz duo for my cocktail hour reception, Mike Hogan / Jerry D’Anna. The musicians were fantastic, punctual, and professional in act and appearance. I would look to hire them for another event and would recommend them as well!

We had great communication with Wendy and the musicians were top notch making the day have the perfect touch!

We were looking for live musicians who would be professional talented and easy to communicate with. Princeton Music Connection was all of that and more! There was clear communication throughout the process then they arrived early and performed beautifully. They played for the ceremony then moved up to the terrace at the Governor Mansion. In black tie, the musicians added a classy touch to the day while playing everything from classical to pop string arrangements and even some Irish tunes as requested. Excellent Music Service

We hired two musicians through Princeton Music Connection for our small wedding. Wendy worked with us to book exactly what we were looking for - a violin/guitar and keyboard duo. Dave and Ted were clearly long time pros, with a large and flexible repertoire, who worked well with each other as well as the guests. We weren't planning on dancing, but they helped us with an impromptu first dance that brought all of our guest to tears!

Wendy was very accommodating to our outdoor wedding plans. She suggested we use Mark Sganga and arranged the whole thing for us. He was a fantastic guitarist and our guests loved his music.

Wendy and her band was wonderful! The music performance was perfect, and coordinated very well with our processional and other activities. The musicians are highly skilled and professional. Beautiful music!

A harpist and flautist played for our daughter's wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Wendy was very helpful in choosing music for the various parts of the ceremony and played a classic and modern music during the cocktail hour. All beautiful, very worhtwhile, and great folks to work with.

Great Wedding Quartet!

We were so happy with Princeton Music Connection for our wedding. After hearing them at another wedding in NY, we hired them to play for our Jewish ceremony. Wendy was a joy to work with, and she was able to handle all of our annoying and late requests! The musicians are excellent and the quartet played beautifully for the ceremony. They flawlessly transitioned through different pieces for our procession and then learned a new difficult piece that we requested for the bride's procession. They were also quite reasonable compared to other musical groups in New York, where it can get very expensive. There were so many things to keep track of for the wedding, we were so relieved that Wendy and Princeton Music Connection made everything go so smoothly for the ceremony music.

Wendy was incredibly helpful and patient in planning the music for my son and daughter-in-law's outdoor wedding in early July. We started with almost no idea of the kind of music we wanted. Additionally, we were working with a tight timeline as the wedding was planned in a 3-month window. After several helpful discussions with Wendy in which she offered a range of options with various musical styles and price points, we decided to go with a classical trio for the ceremony, a jazz trio for the cocktail hour, and a DJ for the ceremony. The music was BEAUTIFUL throughout and provided the perfect atmosphere for a very special and festive day. Several of our guests asked where I had found the terrific musicians! Very happy that we found Princeton Music Connection--Wendy was easy to work with, professional, knowledgeable and experienced. And not a single hiccup on the day of the wedding!

I used Princeton Music Connection for 2 events in 1 week. The 3 piece swing band was amazing! They played songs that guests requested so they could sing along and dance to their favorite songs. Everyone raved about them!

The second event was just as good. A work holiday party with lovely background music. We always get complements from our guests. I highly recommend them!!

Princeton Music Connection provided by special request a trio to play live music at an Argentine Tango dance event. The musicians had won awards for their abilities. The music was great and pleased the tastes of the experienced dancers. I recommend this trio for other tango events. Also this event shows the ability of Princeton Music Connection to tailor make a music group to a specialty need for an event.

Adapted to the difficult environment that was provided and made or opening reception a very pleasant special event. From the beginning I felt very confident in Princeton Music Connection, and I wasn't disappointed. They have an amazing website that allows you to review various options for your event. This helped me choose a strong quartet for our ceremony, a jazz band for our cocktail hour and a DJ for the reception - all for a reasonable cost! Further, Wendy paid attention details like what the musicians should wear and whether the piano at the event could be tuned so it could be used by the Jazz Trio. The music on the day was excellent....our guests commented on it and they clearly had a wonderful time!

Wendy and her musicians were wonderful at our wedding. Her correspondence with me prior to the event was more than I expected. She helped me with the type and coordination of the music for different parts of the ceremony and cocktail hour. She was also very professional. The day of the wedding, the quartet showed up on time, were courteous and dressed in black tie attire. Two additional musicians played at our cocktail hour at a separate location and again went above and beyond what I expected. All of our guests enjoyed the music. I had such a fantastic experience with the musicians sent by Princeton Music Connection. I sent Dave Rimelis the sheet music for three songs that I was hoping to have played at the wedding and he and the guitarist knocked it out of the park. They played instrumental versions of songs by the Lumineers, Modest Mouse and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros---none of them traditional in any sense. Each sounded perfect and I couldn't have been happier. The wedding was at my parents' home and in a short conversation a few days before, I was able to impart to Dave exactly the type of music I was hoping to have during the cocktail hour and I never provided any specific type of play or do-not-play list. I'm glad we trusted them because a number of people told me how great they were. They were a stress free part of the wedding that added a lot to the day.

The violin/cello duo's music was really, really fantastic. I enjoyed listening to the waiting and ceremony music while I was waiting to walk down the isle. It was just gorgeous, with definitely enough sound to fill both the church and the cocktail hour rooms. We got a lot of compliments from the guests on their playing. We spoke to the musicians before they left and thanked them. They were very kind and so professional. Their playing really made the day special for us and so unique.

We booked a mariachi band to provide music during the cocktail hour for our daughter's wedding. She was marrying someone who originally was from Mexico, and we were quite worried that the band needed to be authentic to satisfy his side of the family. Wendy had the perfect mariachi band to fit the bill. We felt the cost was very reasonable, and Wendy made the whole booking process very easy. With so many details to take care of regarding the wedding and reception, it was nice to have these arrangements fall into place so easily. The band added such a fun, festive note to the reception. We felt that the Princeton Music Connection was a great choice!

Princeton music connection provided beautiful music for our outdoor wedding ceremony and a selection of lively, romantic songs for our cocktail hour. Wendy was extremely professional and easy to work with and very accommodating in helping me to pick the right music for our wedding. She also recommended an excellent DJ and we literally danced the night away. We received many compliments about the quality of the music for both the ceremony and the reception.

The jazz combo provided great music. They were very professional and added immensely to the ambiance of our wedding party. I would highly recommend them.

We used Princeton Musicians for our wedding. Wendy provided music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Wendy was wonderful to work with - her musicians were very high caliber and her music suggestions were wonderful. I would definitely recommend them and would use them at my next event.

I had the string trio of violin, cello and voila for my wedding procession/ recession as well as cocktail hour in Princeton. These guys could not have been more professional! The music was absolutely beautiful and the musicians themselves were very presentable, friendly and flexible about where they were to be placed, etc.,. Wendy Zoffer was extremely helpful and reassuring in her recommendations of specific music (to someone who had never planned a wedding before!) I honestly had no worries about that part of the planning and would definitely recommend them for any ceremony... it was a really beautiful touch.

overall it was great! they were dressed appropriate. very positive attitudes and the music was good. i have heard only good things from my guests. the only slight drawback was during planning, the email response was sometimes a little slow but not harm done. The suggested music for the different stages of the wedding were excellent.

It turned out great. The quartet played beautifully for the wedding and the cocktail hour immediately following. The music was beautiful. I thought the price was a real value for the great quality of the music we experienced that day.

Great Oktoberfest Band

Wendy helped us find a great authentic German Band for a big Oktoberfest Party at our club. They were a hit, got everyone up and dancing. Will definitely have them back again.

Beautiful wedding ceremony music!

The strings from Princeton Music Connection absolutely MADE our wedding ceremony!! They provided such a beautiful touch to our big day and we could not have been happier with the music. Wendy was very thorough and responsive throughout the planning process, and the string players were extremely professional. All around a great experience and a beautiful touch to a wedding ceremony!
