Just phenomenal!

Tyler was the DJ for our wedding and reception. He met with us prior to the wedding to get a feel for our musical tastes and really helped bring the party to our New Year’s wedding! He met all of our goofy requests and made sure that we were having a great time by checking in with us throughout the ceremony. We had a fantastic wedding and reception thanks to him! We also utilized the Powerplay karaoke package at our wedding and it took our party to an extra level of fun! I highly recommend Powerplay DJ!

Phenomenal

We had Powerplay DJ for our wedding this last weekend and Brian Peck was our DJ. He started off with great communication and meeting to plan our event and followed through even after. He was phenomenal. He was so friendly, smiley, energetic, and kept the crowd dancing all the way until the end. We had so many compliments on the music choice and how smooth the whole night went with different activities we had. Thanks for the awesome job and we would definitely recommend going with Powerplay DJ for any event. Thanks again!

Couldn't ask for a better DJ!

We'd recommend Travis at Powerplay DJ again and again! We had an outdoor tent wedding in October in Minnesota, well, it was a winter wonderland! Travis did not disappoint; we had the best time and while a 1/4 of our guests couldn't make it due to road conditions, I swear Travis had 200+ guests on the dance floor at all times.

He asked what music we wanted, but we also agreed to whatever he felt was necessary to keep the party going. When people say it was the best day ever, it truly was the best day ever. We had so many compliments about how "this is the best wedding ever!" From formal Catholic church clothes to additional leggings, boots, and snow jackets on the dance floor–thanks for keep the party energized from start to finish!

Highly Recommend!

From start to finish we couldn't have asked for a better experience! I initially booked with Powerplay DJ after talking to them at one of the Bridal shows in the F/M. Travis was our DJ and I would highly recommend him! He was very helpful with the planning process and was quick to answer my questions. He also made a point to check in with us throughout the day and he kept on top of the schedule to keep things moving along on time. Travis also helped release tables for dinner and was interactive with the crowd all night. Thank you Powerplay and Travis for such a great overall experience!

Real professionals who really listened

I hired Powerplay DJ for my wedding reception. Travis and Missy were great to work with! They went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the song selections and play for the evening, and they were very flexible as well.

I had my sister play the bagpipes during the wedding party's grand entrance. Hardly conventional, but Travis and Missy rolled with it. They helped call everyone out to the dance floor and announced us, but the bagpipes were still the star of that particular section. We had also planned to do a bouquet toss, but at the last minute I couldn't find my bouquet so Travis and Missy cancelled it.

They were also great at reading the crowd and keeping everyone engaged. They played some slower songs and polkas for the older couples, and kept my cousins on the dance floor until the end of the evening. They even brought little giveaways like inflatable guitars that were a hit with the kids.

They were on time and got everything set up without any hassle. They acted as MCs and made all the announcements. They always checked with me to make sure they were pronouncing everyone's name right, had the right order of events, knew who was giving speeches, etc.

Overall, they were great to work with, and I would definitely hire them for another event.

Chance was awesome!

Chance was our DJ and we couldn't have been happier. He was able to be so flexible before and during the wedding. We also had a small wedding and he was able to keep almost all of us on the dance floor thewhole night. I appreciated his professionalism as well as his fun flexibility!

Powerplay DJ was great! Our DJ was Mike and he was wonderful to work with. He helped us plan everything out so it was just the way we wanted it and was very flexible to work with. He even got down on the dance floor and helped when a majority of the people didn't know how to do some group dances. He kept the dance floor full all night. We also got the photo booth which was also wonderful. I didn't catch the ladies name working the photo booth but she was very kind and helpful. At the end up the night we even got a photo album with copies of all the pictures from the photo booth.

Steph and I were so glad that we chose Powerplay DJ for our wedding! We initially chose them based on their very reasonable pricing for the Top Notch Standard Wedding Package and after the entire experience we could not have been happier.

Our DJ, Craig, did a great job during the preplanning phase and during our reception. After the preplanning phase we felt extremely pleased and comfortable that our reception experience would be amazing. Craig did not disappoint as he was very professional and organized during the entire reception. He helped guide us through everything and made sure everyone was having a good time on the dance floor. Also, the props for the kids were a big hit!

Highly recommend their services.

We had such a great experience using Powerplay for our wedding in June! Craig was our DJ and he did a fantastic job at the reception. We got so many compliments from our guests about how fun the reception was. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone is having fun and is getting involved. We also had Powerplay for our photo booth and I’m so glad we did! The book of photo strips of all the guests you get at the end of the night is such a fun keepsake. The night goes bye way to fast so being able to look back at all the fun photo strips and notes from guests is really special. Not only did they do a great job the night of but a great job maintaining communication before and after the wedding (which for a stressed bride is such a blessing!). I would highly recommend Powerplay for any event!

e had Powerplay DJ at our wedding this past weekend and we could not have been happier with our choice for a DJ. Ben was amazing and kept the music flowing and the crowd going! Ben made sure that everything was organized prior to the event so that the night went as smooth as possible. Ben kept the night going great and we could not have had a better DJ for our event. Ben was our DJ and he did an amazing job! He was very thorough with details and making sure things were on schedule for the night. Our experience with Logan at PowerPlay was absolutely spectacular! We received many comments from our guests about how great of a job Logan did at our wedding, and we couldn't agree more! He kept the dance floor busy all night :)

We were so happy with Tyler and our guests loved him, too! It showed as the dance floor was packed all night long, we bought an extra half hour (the latest our hotel would let us go) and could have kept going :-)

I cannot thank Brian enough for making our wedding reception so perfect! From dinner to the dance, he completely exceeded our expectations. Our on-site venue coordinator even left early for the night because Brian went above and beyond with the coordinating/MC duties that she typically does during cocktail hour/dinner! We got so many compliments on the music choices, and our dance floor was PACKED all night (we event went late.. didn't want the party to end!)

Brian was professional, friendly, and FUN throughout the entire process. We appreciated the suggestions for fun activities at the reception that we wouldn't have otherwise known about (shoe game and snowball). He played songs that fit our group, many of which I wouldn't have thought to request. Just shows that he is great at his job and can really read the room. Would definitely recommend!

I loved the service we received from Power Play DJ! Not only were they organized in meeting with us prior to the wedding, they were sure to be thorough and covered all of the things we might want at our wedding dance, including things we hadn't even thought of! They kept the party going all night and the crowd loved them! Fairly priced for the service you are receiving as well. Endless possibilities with Power Play DJ!

Travis worked our event, and he was absolutely wonderful! He made sure everything was on-track throughout the whole night - speeches, entrances, dance numbers, everything! Not only was he totally on the ball, but he worked the crowd well too. Our wedding was the weekend of Halloween, so we requested to sprinkle some Halloween songs in the mix throughout the night, and he played the perfect stuff! Prior to the night of, I had exchanged emails with Steve, the manager, and he was so responsive and answered every question I threw his way. I can't recommend working with them enough!

We also used their photobooth service and it was a HUGE hit! The memory book we got at the end of the night was such a hoot to look through the next day. My great uncle who has been battling cancer even got in the photobooth for some pictures, so we have memories with him to cherish forever. It was so great!

We had Al for our DJ and he was absolutely amazing! Throughout the wedding planning he kept in touch and asked if there was anything he could do to make things easier for us. I couldn't have been happier with Powerplay. Al played great music all night and had some fun games for everyone. He kept people on the dance floor to the very end.

We got married in Mandan, ND and had an absolutely wonderful experience with Powerplay! Mike was a great dj! He kept our guests entertained through dinner, during the break before the dance, and throughout the entire night until our party ended. We also used the photobooth provided by Powerplay and it was enjoyed by our guests and we had an amusing keepsake album to treasure. Thank you for your part in helping make our wedding so special. :)

He was very flexible with our changes and responded to questions and emails very quickly. He threw in a lot of special touches that really made the night great. We had PowerPlay DJ for our May wedding at vintage garden. Our DJ was Rob A and he was amazing! He got the party started at our reception and got everyone on the dance floor (and kept them on the dance floor) at the dance! We couldn't have asked for a better night! Blake and Powerplay DJ did a phenomenal job DJ’ing our wedding. First off, Powerplay DJ as whole, gave off a very nice professional vibe and they were prompt in returning phone calls, in sending out the services available via mail, and returning any e-mails that I had. In today’s day in age, that says a lot and it made my decision to go with them an easy one. With that, Blake was willing to meet with my husband and I the week of the wedding to discuss the music we would like played and to pan out the details. I really liked that we were able to do this and meet face-to-face. We also decided to go with some dinner music and boy are we glad that we did! Blake played a fabulous array of songs that fit perfectly for dinner music and then for the dance, he was spot on, playing all of the songs we wanted, taking requests, and playing music that fit the crowd that was out on the dance floor at any given time. Lastly, I had several people tell me that our DJ/music was the best wedding dance music they have heard in a long time and they were quite impressed. Blake had great energy throughout the night; he was fun, and also professional which made for a fantastic night. So thanks again Powerplay DJ and Blake for a job well done!

Powerplay surpassed my expectations! Craig was professional and prepared! He was So easy to work with and set up everything with the event center. He got the crowd involved and everyone had a great time at the dance. PowerPlay Company was also great! They answered all emails promptly and we very reasonable! I would highly recommend them to any bride in Bismarck/Fargo area.

They are popular for a reason! They are easy to work with and super flexible. I didn't email some song requests until about 2 days before the wedding! He also was really flexible with changing the ceremony music. Our ceremony was supposed to be outside but it started raining, but he was great about being flexible with the change!

Power play DJ provided all the music for our reception a couple weeks ago. Blake was our DJ and was AMAZING! He really listened to what we wanted and delivered just that! PowerPlay DJ played at my brother's wedding five years ago, and I remembered how great they were, so I chose them for my wedding and they absolutely lived up to how great I remembered them from the first time. They are easy to work with, they're professional and they keep you and what you want at the forefront of the entire night. Every request we made was granted. They were fun and energetic and could definitely go with the flow of things (when guests cheat at musical chairs and then have to do a dance off... ;) )
I highly recommend them.

Blake from Powerplay just did our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner reception. He did a fantastic job! I really liked how smooth everything was. We met real quick and confirmed the music and all was running from there! The dance floor was never empty and I received so many compliments on how awesome the DJ was! Powerplay just DJ'd our wedding dance and we also booked a photobooth through them and we couldn't have been happier. Josh, our DJ was right there when our bus pulled up to greet us and get ready for our grand entrance. I communicated back and forth with Steve numerous times throughout the planning process and he always got back to me right away and made changes where necessary. I even changed one of our songs the Friday before the wedding and got an immediate response. Josh kept our dance floor full the whole night and everyone had a blast. The photobooth, which we had for 4 hours, was an absolute hit and it was full the whole night. The photo book they provided us with is awesome and will always be a great memory!

Powerplay DJ is (by a long shot) the best wedding DJ I know. Our wedding guest ranged in age and Powerplay DJ played music that all enjoyed. I don't think anyone skipped a beat. Our dance floor was packed the whole night. Our DJ was interactive and got everyone involved. He was also very helpful in walking us through the night. It was very fun and stress free! Everyone enjoyed the night and a month later I still get compliments on how fun the dance was! I will hands down recommend Powerplay DJ to anyone and everyone!

I LOVED powerplay DJ. They drove a long way to play for our wedding and were great. They fulfilled every request, had a wonderful website to choose the music we wanted. They stayed in contact with us through the planning to see when they should get to the wedding, during the wedding they were so nice to us and made the night stress free. they played the right music at the right time to get people out on the dance floor.

Alan was wonderful! I was the primary contact between my husband and I , and Alan checked with me for everything. We had about 45 children who were chomping at the bit to start dancing and Alan even began our dance early for the little ones!

Blake was the ultimate DJ. He was willing to go the extra mile to make our wedding perfect. These guys were great. The only thing I wish they would have done was take more control about the progress of the reception. I had to go up there all night and let them know when we wanted to do things. They had people dancing and were taking requests. Everyone had a great time! They were professional and dressed well. They played what we wanted for the most part. I liked their website and that you could list the songs you wanted on there.

Our DJ did a good job of accommodating to my taste of music. I am a music junkie and was slightly worried about the music being played but he followed my requests and was very professional and most importantly FUN. The dance was a blast and he even played some salsa music for my Latino family to dance to. It was the highlight of my wedding

We booked Powerplay DJ to do a karoke-style wedding reception for us and it was the most fun I've ever had at a wedding! Our DJ was wonderful with the guests and provided excellent dinner music free of charge. It was the best purchase we made in our entire wedding planning process!!

Our DJ did a great job, he kept our guests entertained and for the most part on the dance floor. Only exception was that we requested to have only 2 country songs and there were a lot more than that! We ended up ending the dance 30 minutes early due to most people had already left by this point and there were a few songs on our list that we didn't get to hear.

The dance can make or break the wedding dance. I have attended many weddings and all the best have been with PowerPlay. Our specific DJ was at two of our friends' and we knew we had to have him to keep our dance fun. We were not surprised that PowerPlay had people on the dance floor the ENTIRE night! We gave him a list of songs we would like to play and he played most but also did well at adding other songs. The best part of PowerPlay is the transitions from "classic wedding songs" to "party dance songs" and how they work the audience. We didn't even research other DJ's because our past experience has been amazing and we knew we would pay. Not only would I recommend PowerPlay to friends, I already have and always will.

Power play did an awesome job at our wedding! Logan our DJ did an amazing job and really got a feel for our wedding. The guests had a blast. Power play was very flexible and sat down with us to find out what kind of music we wanted played and when. Our DJ would even come out to dance as well or teach the guests for group dances. Very impressed, well worth the money.

Rob was our DJ and he did a fantastic job at keeping our guests entertained and played music that would appeal to different aged crowds we had. Steve has a wonderful staff and I could not have been happier with our DJ selection.

We used Powerplay for our wedding and they were great. We did have a problem a few times where they were hard to contact and would not respond to emails. Once we were assigned a DJ it was much easier to contact them. Our DJ was Blake and he was amazing. He was very flexible to work with and was able to keep the crowd on the dance floor. We received a lot of compliments about our DJ and we would definitely recommend him!

In one word - amazing! I seriously can't get over how amazing our DJ was at the wedding - Perry. He was on top of everything, took all of our guests requests, and made sure he played what we asked him to and he didn't play what we asked him not to!

The only reason why I gave the responsiveness 3 out of 5 stars, the closer we got to the wedding the less I heard from them. I had to send 8 emails over the course of 15 days, and I finally received a response 2 days before the wedding. Definitely room for improvement there, however that was the only issue!

Powerplay DJ provided my wedding reception with the perfect balance of fun and professionalism. My DJ listened to every single request I had for him and made whatever I needed to happen, happen. We enjoyed having Powerplay DJ at our wedding. Blake played a wide variety of music, including everyone's requests, and made sure not to play any genre's that were not of interest to us. Although he was attentive to the music, he did not engage the guests much and played the music too loud so that most guests left the reception hall to talk in the lounge area. Great out of season wedding rate for those getting married later in the fall/winter.

I had a few frustrations with Powerplay, but most importantly, in the end, I was very pleased, due in large part to the DJ himself we had, Blake. Blake did an amazing job at our reception, stuck to our request and do-not-play lists, kept the vibe up, was entertaining and caring, and just really awesome. Several guests commented how good he was. So pleased with Blake. The process was really easy at first. After my initial inquiry for more info, they mailed me a packet, and included a contract and SASE for me to mail back to them if we decided to book them. We did because of other good reviews and a large music library. After that, we didn't do much for months, but then as the date came closer, maybe two months away, I contacted Troy to figure out what we needed to do next and set up a meeting to go over plans. It took quite a while to hear back, and I had to make several attempts to get a response, which was much slower than I would have liked. That was the only negative. In the end though, he came through, and once he connected me directly to Blake, everything was wonderful. Like I said, what mattered most was that my reception was amazing, thanks to Blake's awesome DJ-ing. One nice thing is you get a discount on the FM Party Bus if you book Powerplay, so we did that.

I was very happy with having Powerplay DJ as part of our day! They did our ceremony music and the entire dance, and were very flexible when small glitches occurred (like loss of power because we had too many things plugged in) and when guests wanted to switch up the music (and pick several songs). We had a lot of fun and wouldn't have had as much without this great DJ.

I was really disappointed with Powerplay DJ. Things started out well, they sent the information that we requested immediately. My husband lives four hours from Fargo and I live about an hour away, so it was hard for us to arrange a meeting with them prior to our wedding. Two weeks before our wedding, we made plans to meet with someone the following Monday (he said he would be in the office from 9:00-5:00). Before we left for Fargo that morning, I emailed the person we were supposed to meet with a tentative time we would be there. Four hours later, he emailed back and said he was just getting back into town from Las Vegas and already had an appointment at that time but we could meet later in the week. As we didn't have time to drive back to Fargo later in the week, we offered to stop by later that day, but he said he would just have our DJ call us. The next day, the DJ called and left a message. My husband tried calling him back three times over the next few days, but he did not answer or return his calls. We finally resorted to emailing our song requests and other details the day before our wedding! Our first dance song was NOT the one we'd requested (kind of a big deal...). Then something happened to the DJ's computer software, so he ended up using his phone to download and play music. He played songs we requested not be played, then refused to play some of the songs our wedding party requested (nothing inappropriate, just some Michael Jackson and other older stuff). I've been to other wedding dances that PowerPlay DJ did and thought they did a great job, but our experience with them was awful!
