Second experience with this wonderful photographer!

Rich and Alicia photographed my wedding in April 2019. When my sister was planning her wedding, I promptly contacted Rich to see if he was available to photograph her wedding because they did such a great job with mine! Rich and Alicia are fantastic—they created a wedding day timeline for my sister to keep everyone on track and to ensure no photos were forgotten. Her photos are gorgeous! Rich and Alicia will not disappoint if you decide to use them!

It’s more than photography, it is an experience, it is Art

My husband and I found Rich by pure luck. We were visiting a church when booking our original date of our wedding and were told that his office was housed in the facility. We were also told how wonderful he was and encouraged to stop by. Rich welcomed us in, showed us some of his work: including the option of a wedding album with one of his packages and his new feature “Gif in a Jif”. We booked Rich and everything was amazing. He was super flexible when we had to navigate postponing our original 2020 wedding date. Last minute, when we realized we needed a second shooter, Rich quickly found us a second shooter, Susan, who was also fantastic. Needless to say, Gif in a Jif was a huge hit at our July 2021 wedding. We were delighted to find that after you send a photo to yourself, you also see the entire gallery which was both exciting and hilarious for the people who took triple takes. Our wedding photos came out absolutely beautiful. I had expressed to Rich and his assistant Alicia, who also is fabulous, that I had challenges when it came to photography and how I see myself in photos. Rich, Alicia, and Susan were all supportive and I felt absolutely amazing during and after the wedding day shoot. Highly recommend this fantastic company.

Engagement & Wedding

Rich & his assistant (Alicia) are amazing!!!!

I researched a ton & he did not disappoint!!! We booked him for our wedding in April 2021 & he so nicely also did a quick engagement shoot for us also last year!! He truly captures every moment for the day & has best attitude even when we asked him to stay another hour! He will get the most natural shot of you but also will help if you are awkward at posing! We LOVE all of our pictures!! He even had another assistant who did my boudoir photoshoot last year & those turned out amazing (Aundrea). He is always easy to reach as well oh & his GIF in a JIF was a HUGE hit and so fun for our guests to look back on!!

Amazing experience

Rich and his team were absolutely fantastic! He made an itinerary for taking photos, but was able to change the photo itinerary quickly and easily when one of the squares we were taking photos in was overcrowded due to a 5k. He quickly and efficiently took photos of my large family after the ceremony. We loved our photos! The colors were vibrant and cheerful. We especially loved the albums Rich help put together for us afterwards. We ordered a large canvas of one of our favorites, but unfortunately the canvas corners became unglued. When I asked Rich about this problem, Rich was quick to call for us to get a replacement at no charge to us! He truly stands behind his work and is an amazing photographer!

Amazing All Around

Rich photographed our engagement photos 2 years ago. He coordinated with my now Husband to arrange a beautiful surprise proposal. The photos turned out beautifully!

Fast forward 2 years and our original wedding plans were canceled due to Covid. We decide to have a very small wedding in Savannah, where we got engaged. We lucked out and Rich was available to document our day.

He was amazing! He was very organized, easy to work with and made the day fun! Honestly, I am so thankful for Rich and his talents. He not only took beautiful photos but made our special day easy and fun!

Rich is extremely talented and we highly recommend him and his photos! We can’t wait to hang up our new photos! All around a wonderful experience!

He was the best!

I cannot tell you enough how great Rich and Alicia were! We had a huge bridal party of 18 bridesmaids and groomsmen with 2 flower girls and 2 ring bearers. Rich and Alicia worked quickly and efficiently together! The day was super windy and Rich knew exactly where to go to find a place with little to no wind! They would work together taking pictures at the same time from different angles making the perfect team for any size party! My husband even said to me that they were awesome because he didn’t feel bossed around and he felt like the photos didn’t take that long. Rich has a very laid back personality, but knows how to be direct with what he wants. He comes in and literally just works his magic.

Amazing and Quick!

Rich and his team were amazing! Rich helped with scouting out photo locations as I was planning from another state. His suggestions were perfect and he was so helpful in creating the timeline for our day. HIs team arrived on time and we stayed on time. We even had extra time to get pictures on the beach at Tybee Island, which wasn't in our original timeline. It's only been a couple weeks and I already got my photos and highlights video. I LOVE them, they captured the day perfectly.

A walk through the park

My husband and I chose Rich Burkart to photograph our elopement and we are so happy we did. I was a little nervous about pictures because we are older and I was not sure what was appropriate, but I had nothing to worry about. Rich knew just what to do, and captured our moments just perfectly. He made our photo session seem like we were just walking through the park with an old friend. Best wedding photographer in Savannah!

We were extremely pleased with Rich's photos of our wedding. More than once I have thought, "that looks better than it did in real life!" He's a former journalistic photographer turned wedding photographer and knew all the moves to be invisible and yet perfectly present. He captured all the important moments and then some, which I've appreciated recently as I work on photo albums. Some of our friends took photos as well, and there's a huge difference between their shots - Rich's have better lighting and composition -- and some magic dust, I think! To top it all off, after the wedding, the large framable print and ultra thick paper album we got through Rich were top quality. We feel really lucky to have been able to work with Rich and his team.

Exceptional Photographer!

There are not enough superlatives to describe the outstanding job Rich and Alicia did with photography and video for our 30th Anniversary vow renewal at sunset on Tybee Island, GA and the dinner celebration at the Guard House. Wonderful photographer!

Rich was wonderful to work with, responsive when I would email with questions, proactive in sending me the things I needed to complete for him, thorough, punctual and professional. But the most important thing is his photos were amazing! They are so beautiful, I'm having trouble narrowing down which ones to purchase. He truly captured our special day. He took photos of moments I (the bride) didn't get to see and it was so nice to have them to look back at. His photos were artistic without being too highbrow and he captured the traditional photos of family and the ceremony along with lots of wonderful candids too. Gorgeous photos perfectly capture the story

Rich is a very talented photographer. His background in photojournalism lends itself to telling your story. He's got an eye for capturing the beauty of the event, from couples photos to the day of photos. He was also very easy to work with and flexible in all our many changes and special requests. We also used his photo booth which our guests loved, like absolutely loved. Let's face it the photos are one of the most important parts of any wedding since after the few hours of wearing the dress, the perfect venue (ceremony and reception), great food, and all the accoutrements what you have left are your memories from seeing the photos. Rich is definitely a photographer i would trust to capture such a huge day and important event. Utterly gorgeous Rich and thank you!

Rich did a great job!

Rich did my wedding photos and they came out beautifully! I had a very intimate wedding (9 people total) and was lucky enough to get an elopement rate so it was very affordable. Rich and his assistant were both an absolute pleasure to work with! What is even more impressive is the wedding photos were done in less than two weeks! I highly recommend Rich and his team :).

Excellent Wedding Photographer!

My wife and I had an excellent experience with Rich as our photographer for our wedding. He was very organized and efficient through each step of the process (from planning all the way through the execution). He also made it a very comfortable and easy experience. When we arrived at our first look photo shoot he had already planned ahead with different poses, perspectives, and locations throughout the nature trail we had chosen. In addition I noticed he took advantage of various spots throughout the trail with great lighting that helped to create excellent photos. He managed to take some boring and unattractive rooms we were using before our wedding to get ready and made them look beautiful through the use of dramatic lighting. Our families were also impressed with how quick and organized he was with the family shoot after the ceremony. When we got our photos back we were more than pleased. We had a hard time picking a favorite with there being so many photos that we loved! There was a wide variety of perspective, composition, dynamic lighting, and overall interesting photographs of many important details such as the florals and some of the surrounding environment and decorations. We would definitely recommend him as a photographer for your wedding!

Best October Wedding Photos Ever

AMAZING!!! I can’t even to begin to discribe how what a wonderful experience I had with Photos by Rich. My husband and I used them for our October wedding on Hilton Head Island. We were both so worried about the whole “production” of the photo process and if we would end up happy with the end results. However, we completely under estimated Rich!!! Not only were the photos completely BEAUTIFUL but the process was seamless! Rich was so easy to work with and made sure our photo needs were 100%. I would recommend him a thousand times over and plan to use him again for all my photo needs. I couldn’t have asked for better.... Photos by Rich is the BEST!!!!

Rich and Alicia were Amazing!

After your big day, you are left with memories and wedding photos. Knowing this, I had extremely high expectations of our wedding photos, but RIch and Alicia beyond exceeded my expectations!!! I have so many gorgeous wedding pictures, still to this day I have not been able to choose a favorite. Rich pays attention to detail and truly listens to what YOU want! They captured all the special moments of my big day!! Even the moments I had no clue I wanted until I saw the photos!!! Important Note.....Ladies, you want his assistant Alicia there, she is soooo Incredible!! From holding the train of my dress and bouquet, too moving my veil and gown into the correct positions to capture perfect photos. She was extremely helpful! Not to mention the beautiful pictures she captured herself!! These two were genuinely nice people,and made me feel comfortable in front of the camera! I am so grateful I found Rich and Alicia to photograph my wedding day!

Rich--Don't even know where to start with this review other than you and your team are simply amazing! I have seen lots of wedding photos in my life but it takes a very special eye to be able to capture the love and emotion from the day. You far exceeded anything we could have imagined. Lexi and Matt have always said they weren't real comfortable in front of a camera but during their engagement session, you put them at ease. The day of the wedding you guys came in and did a tremendous job but you did not disrupt our day---it is like you were there but you weren't. The pictures and the video from the entire day will help us all to remember what a very special day we shared with our family and friends.

Rich has the heart and eye to capture a story, not just take standard wedding pictures. We had a miracle story and Rich told it in photos so perfectly. He has a true feel for the story, the people, the place, and the atmosphere...for what's important and what's not. His kindness and professionalism shine though as one. On the business side, he doesn't overcharge or oversell, is accommodating in specific times, places, advice on what is and isn't necessary. He always replies to messages promptly. We received our online photos very soon after our April 2018 wedding. Perfection in every way!

I've been friends with Rich's wife since middle school, and have been a fan of Rich's work since they were in the dating stage of their relationship. So when Brad and I got engaged, I already new the photographer that we wanted. Rich and his team are truly wonderful and accomodating! They make the Big Day even more special! Rich and team are AMAZING! They truly have a gift of capturing beautiful scenes during beautiful moments. My fiancé (now hubby) and I were so nervous for the engagement pics as we're both incredibly awkward in front of the camera. However, we were put completely at ease from the start. When looking back at all the pictures from our engagement and wedding, you'd think we were pros at having our pictures taken, truly it's a testament to Rich and his team. Rich and Aundrea shot our wedding at Savannah Botanical Garden this past weekend, and it's been a phenomenal experience from start to finish. Rich quickly replied to my initial inquiry and clearly outlined the price and what we could expect. Then, a few weeks before the wedding we had a pre-wedding consultation where we discussed in more detail the type of shots he would get, including family/group photos. Disclaimer: I'm generally an awful picture taker (so is my husband). I look stiff and do weird things with my face :) Rich and Aundrea made us both feel comfortable, and as a result the photos are stunning! Very natural, and they captured the joy of the day. At times, I almost forgot they were there! They did a great job of not being too intrusive. They gave very limited instructions on how to pose, and that was it. I am over the moon about how beautifully our photos turned out, and they were ready in less than a week! Thanks again for being part of our special day!

We worked with Rich and team for our wedding in March 2018 and an hour-long engagement photo shoot in November 2017. We are so happy with our decision to work with Rich and team and would highly recommend them to anyone else. Among the many benefits to working with Rich - he's a great photographer! We are thrilled with how well the photos turned out.

We appreciated that it was always easy to communicate and plan with Rich. He's a pro with lots of experience in Savannah events, so he was able to weigh in with helpful advice when we had questions as we planned the wedding.

We also appreciated that they really put us at ease during the engagement shoot and during our formal wedding portraits - we didn't feel awkward or forced while we were posing. Several of our guests also commented that the photographers were friendly and unobtrusive (they got a lot of good candids) and also willing to take photos of groups of guests.

We were also so pleased that Rich sent us our photos so quickly (less than 2 weeks after the event)!

Do yourself a favor and have your photos taken by Rich Burkhart! My husband and I were planning a short notice elopement and I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to find a photographer who was available. I found Rich's website and sent him an email after deciding his style was exactly what I wanted for our pictures. He responded so quickly to all of my emails and was able to accommodate everything we wanted. Rich and Alicia were so fun to work with and took some really beautiful pictures! We love every single one and we're really impressed with how many we got for the hour we had with them. Alicia kept our daughter engaged looking for seashells and taking some really great pics of her while Rich got some couple pictures of my husband and I, and that really meant a lot to us too. Rich was awesome to work with and so accommodating. He took pictures of some of the greatest moments we otherwise would have missed! His vision is inspirational and sees beauty in things we wouldn't have thought about. I had a very simple wedding and he caught every moment of it. He arrived early and stayed late. He took the most beautiful picture of our rental house with the moon shining bright above! I have that picture hanging over my fireplace now. Thank you so much for making our day even better!

I honestly don’t know where to begin as there aren’t enough words to describe ‘Photos by Rich Burkhart!!’ There are many reasons why they are considered the BEST!

Rich & team are BEYOND amazing! He is responsive, thorough, professional, kind, thoughtful, made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and he does BEAUTIFUL work... I even cried when I saw our engagement photos! (I am not a “crier” lol.)

The list of great qualities is endless, but I did want to make special mention of how accommodating Rich is! We were scheduled for our deluxe engagement session 2 days before Thanksgiving this year. We had an unexpected passing in the family. In a panic (because I had to fly back home to Chicago), I called Rich (after hours - sorry, Rich) to see if there was ANY way we could reschedule. Not only was Rich more than happy to accommodate, he did so ONE day before Thanksgiving. Without hesitation, he told me not to worry, to take care of what I needed to, and that he had no problem pushing us back a day. This may not sound like huge deal to some but it was to me because I knew (from previous conversation) that Rich was scheduled to be off the day before Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving to spend time with family. So, the fact that he gladly (and so quickly) offered up his “off day” is something we are truly grateful for and will forever remember!

Rich, thank you so much for your kindness & generosity. We are so grateful to be working with you and cannot wait until our special day - we know (without a doubt) that you and your team will capture all of our greatest moments!

Photos by Rich Burkhart exceeded every expectation my husband and I had. I am extremely happy with the work they did for our wedding. Rich and Alicia are both remarkably talented. They take beautiful photographs and have an eye that recognizes and captures amazing spontaneous moments. Rich & Alicia are the perfect team. They went above and beyond our expectations! We loved working with them on the engagement shoot - great success - and so had no anxiety about them going into the big day. AMAZING! Rich and his assistant, Alicia, captured our memories perfectly! My now husband and I had a long engagement. Back in September 2016, Rich, his assistant, and I welcomed his wife and son... went with us to take our engagement photos at Ft. Jackson. They knew the area very well, the best time to go and we had a blast creating funny poses and moments. We went early morning and were able to get our photos done before it got way too hot. They turned out incredible and Rich got us the photos back within 2 weeks. They were so great that we had him create our Save-the-dates. He really listened to what we wanted, the style and colors. He's always prompt with getting back to any information or questions I had. Fast forward to our wedding, July 2017. The day was a whirlwind of fun and both Rich and Alicia were there taking pictures and guiding us every step of the way. They are wonderful and captured all of our happy moments. What I love the most about their photography is that they capture people in the moment. Not much is really posed and if it is, he's taking 15 pictures to your one pose, just to get a genuine facial expression or a genuine moment in time. We saw some of our pictures during our honeymoon and not long after we got back, we have the rest. My husband and I have been so pleased, we are sure to ask him again to photograph our future special moments. Thank you so much Rich and Alicia!

To summarize everything that I'm about to write--Rich Burkhart is simply AMAZING. My husband and I knew that photography was one of the top items that we wanted to spend money on, and Rich is worth every single penny. We had our initial meeting at a coffee shop where Rich was prepared with examples of his work, recommendations from others, and a positive attitude that we both loved. A couple months after we booked him, we received a box in the mail that had local Savannah gifts (cookies, bath bombs, tea), some info on our upcoming engagement shoot, and a sweet note from Rich and his photo partner Alicia. We were both blown away by this gesture, and couldn't wait until our engagement session.

We decided to include our cat in our engagement session and Rich didn't miss a beat. Cats aren't known to be particularly photogenic, or even easy to work with, but Rich and Alicia came prepared. Alicia even brought catnip to the shoot. Let me repeat that--Alicia brought catnip to our engagement session for our cat. I couldn't have been happier at that point! Our session was amazing and Rich had our photos back to us within a week.

Fast forward to our wedding, and once again, Rich and Alicia exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond. Not only were they organized, professional, and on top of everything, they made the whole day run so smoothly. I received so many compliments on them from all of our guests. And to top it off, we have our pictures back a week later. And these pictures...wow. I'm blown away by how good they look and how many different shots, people, moments, and details they were able to capture. So essentially, as a TL,DR: Rich and Alicia are the best at what they do, and you should book them immediately!

Rich was truly fantastic! My husband and I are so happy with the quality of our wedding photos! He was very friendly and professional which made shooting all of our wedding portraits so easy and stress-free. Moreover, he went above and beyond to get our photos to us quickly. He even edited a photo so that the door marker behind us in several of our photos was changed to 6 18 - our wedding day! It was a beautiful, thoughtful touch and it made our photos so special!

I stumbled across Rich Burkhart when researching photographers local to Savannah, and I'm so glad I did!! After looking through his website at some of the other weddings he's photographed, I knew he was right for us! My now husband, Chase, and I wanted someone familiar with the area who knew good spots to take pretty pictures, and someone who uses a photo-journalistic approach to capture genuine moments as they happen. BAM. Rich exactly! Him and his assistant, Alicia, were absolutely awesome! They were so patient and helpful with my and Chase's awkward nature in front of the camera - we're so bad at taking/posing for pictures! Rich and Alicia were able to help us relax and give us the direction we needed in an efficient manner. They met us for our engagement session where Chase and I first met: GA Southern University. I knew I had made the right photographer choice when those pictures came out quickly and beautifully! He had managed to take both nice, formal portraits as well as sweet candids that captured our personalities and how we feel about each other. The photos they took at our small, intimate Savannah wedding not only reflected this nature, but outdid our expectations. First of all, I still cannot believe our entire gallery was available to us only 6 days after our wedding!! Do they sleep?? While Chase and I looked at our huge abundance of pictures, I cried like a baby on \\\\more than one occasion. The pictures were more beautiful than I had imagined and each photo brought me back to what I was feeling at that exact moment on the best day of my life. I have never thought of myself as particularly photogenic nor do I care for my smile, but I felt myself actually feeling beautiful and loving how I look with my husband, family, and friends in the photos Rich and Alicia took. I MUST commend them on accomplishing the impossible!! All in all, they went beyond any expectations I had. I highly recommend them and hope to work with them again in the future!!

Rich was great from the start! I had a destination wedding so scheduling wasn't the easiest since I was coming from another state. Rich was always quick to get back to me, and made scheduling easy. Immediately you could tell Richard's vast knowledge and experience of the business. He has a "eye for the client". RICH AND HIS ASSISTANT, ALICIA, WERE FANTASTIC!!!!! We had a destination wedding in Savannah and Rich even scoped out the park across the street from the house we rented before we came to town as a place to take pictures of our wedding party. The walk he took my husband and I on to our wedding venue (The Marshall House) was perfect for photo ops! Rich was efficient and made everyone of all ages feel at ease. He does an outstanding job of capturing candid moments. Two days after our wedding he already had photos uploaded to Instragram with our wedding hasthtag and we had our edited photos not even two weeks later! All of our family and guests have been raving about the quality of photos and timeliness ever since!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RICH FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY!!!

Rich did a great job capturing a memorable time of our life. Some of his packages come with a free engagement session which I took advantage of. He did a great job going outside of his comfort zone and helping me create something special. He had a preview of my pictures ready in a few days and my entire album in less than a week. My husband and I had a very quick engagement and only had 6 months to plan our wedding. We booked Rich Burkhart after speaking with him and it was one of the best decisions! He did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos and did not disappoint. Rich and his assistant helped my husband feel comfortable (my husband hates photos) and at ease during our engagement photos. Before the ceremony, Rich and his assistant were very helpful and never once complained about the heat (it was VERY warm in GA at that time). Our photos turned out wonderful and we are so happy with them. I would use Rich again for any photography needs if we end up back in the area.

Rich was incredible. Prior to our wedding day, we had to change the time of when the photos would take place. Rich was more than accommodating and helped us to plan how the photo session would go. His knowledge of Savannah (and the Savannah Riverboat Cruise, which is where we got married) was extremely helpful, since we came in from Ohio and really did not know where we could take pictures or the logistics of anything. He was superbly patient with us and our families; we didn't know what pictures we wanted and there was a bit of waiting and discussing to situate everyone. He was very easy going and a pleasure to work with. We were quickly able to open up to him, allowing us to get the perfect photos. My husband and I wish we could give him more than 5 stars.

We loved working with Rich! He was so nice and professional! One of the things we loved was that he is so knowledgeable about Savannah and knew where to walk to and get the best shots. He has a creative eye and took some fantastic shots that incorporated all of our wedding details and venues. He gave us some nice prep information to help us prior and was flexible in our meeting location before the ceremony. Another great thing was he gave us all the rights to our own photos and we were able to share and print as we pleased. He also had a really quick turnaround time. Before getting all the pictures back, he posted some really great ones on his blog within 24 hours that we were able to share, he then shared all of them with us shortly after. Rich and his team did an awesome job and I would definitely recommend him to others!

We had a destination wedding in Savannah and were scrambling to find a photographer. We LOVED working with Rich! Even my "not so fond of taking pictures husband" loved working with Rich. The day of the wedding he arrived with an assistant right on time and got right to work getting photos of myself and my bridesmaids getting ready. He had a lot of great spots to get beautiful photos near our venue (The Forsyth Park Inn). We had plenty of time with booking him for 3 hours; we got all of the pictures we wanted and then some. Well worth the investment when working with Rich. He truly captured our wedding day perfectly!

Rich Burkhart and his wife Rebecca are truly phenomenal people and really great at what they do. They are professional and friendly, and they kept everyone in a great mood with their great spirits the entire day. Rich knows exactly how to direct people, and how to get the best photos in the shortest amount of time. I was the bride that didn't really know what I wanted in my photos, I just knew I wanted good photos to remember my wedding day. What I ended up getting was GREAT photos to remember every second and detail of my wedding, even those I missed out on that day. It was so fun to relive my wedding day through his photo story. He also sent me my photos back very quickly and they were all professional quality and beautiful. I can't stop looking at them!

We hired Rich Burkhart Photography to take family (9 of us) pictures for us in Jekyll Island. Rich and his team were prompt, professional and a lot of fun to work with it. They showed special skill in helping my nephews (5 and 6) smile and stay engaged. Their suggestions for poses and backdrops were perfect. My family and I were so pleased with the final product. The pictures are beautiful and vibrant. We are so happy Rich was able to capture this special holiday for us so well. He's got a great eye and is an amazing talent. I am so happy that we used Rich for our wedding photography! He was everything I expected from a photographer and much more! He is very personable and excellent at what he does. We loved every photo he took on our wedding day and felt that it really captured how special the day was to us. During the entire process he was very prompt in his responses and we were very appreciative of the fact that our pictures were basically ready for us when we got back from our honeymoon. The turn around time is very impressive and that just goes to show how important his business is to him. We used the top tier package and it was totally worth it. He was able to capture the day from start to finish and even had a second shooter and an assistant, which ended up being extremely efficient and it allowed pictures to be taken of multiple areas at the same time. Mr. Burkhart was great! I don't like taking pictures, I felt very awkward but after a few shots it just felt like a friend taking pictures. It's been one year since our wedding, and I still look at the pictures every day. They are absolutely stunning, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to have Rich document our day.

Rich's style was the perfect one for us. My husband Derek is also a photojournalist, so he knew as soon as he saw Rich's work that we had found exactly the photographer we needed. His style was realistic and not over-edited -- exactly what we wanted.

Taking our pictures after the ceremony is one of my favorite memories from that day. We didn't do a first look, so it was one of the first moments my husband and I had together that day. Even though Rich was there taking picture after picture, I still felt like Derek and I were in our own private world together. He knew exactly where to go and how to set things up to get the best shots. My only regret is that we did not have Rich take our engagement photos as well. (Yes, it's true. Don't make the same mistake we did!!!)

In all honesty, Rich was the best photographer for us. Thanks to him, our wedding day will last forever.

We had a destination wedding and did not personally know any photographers that live in the area. With that being said my mother and I went to a bridal show and there we met Rich and his wife. I knew instantly that they were the match for us. Rich was so easy to talk to. We had to communicate via email since I do not live in the area but he always responded sooner than I had imagined he would. The day of the wedding he was so relaxed even though I felt as if my group was a little chaotic. He helped keep a calm vibe on our big day. Rich went above and beyond with our pictures! I was so amazed out how awesome they turned out! He captured the night perfectly! I would recommend Rich to anyone for any type of pictures. Cannot wait to use him again in the future whenever we need anniversary, family, etc pictures done.

We LOVED having Rich photograph our wedding! He was so easy going and fun for our wedding party and us to work with. Rich joined us at our rehearsal dinner to take some photos, but he also helped recommend where we should stand and where we should look on our wedding day in order to get some great shots. I completely appreciated having his input. Rich and his assistant stayed from the early afternoon well into the night with us and even after he left, my groom and I noticed him outside the window snapping some last shots for us! I would absolutely recommend him for his expertise on Savannah, work ethic and beautiful photos.

Rich and his assistant Alicia were fantastic! They were very professional, and made our wedding day photographs stress free! Rich was very helpful before and during the wedding. I have now seen our photographs and they are so beautiful! He captured our day perfectly and I am in love with these photos. He was in all the right places at the right times and captured everything I wanted to see. I have shown several people these photos and they say these are some of the most beautifully shot wedding photos they have seen. They will be perfect to go back and look at for years to come. I highly recommend Rich for your wedding day photography!

Let me tell you about Rich: HE'S AWESOME!! I first came across him via his website and decided to contact. He met me while I was in Savannah planning for my fiancé and I's wedding. His professionalism is superb and our engagement pictures are beautiful! We took them on 9/5 due to the weather and traffic for us). Got our pics back in under 5 days. The colors, everything. Price is very reasonable as well. Oh and he's also very personable.

I still look back a year later in amazement, I knew the first photos I saw Rich had taken this guy was born with a talent and eye for photography and knows how to use a camera. Professional in every sense from our onsite preliminary meeting to the wedding day, amazing and thorough. The end result, photos that will leave you speechless and emotional. Rich was great to work with!!! He was very nice and was able to deal with my crazy wedding party and the heat (since it was an outdoor wedding and 97 degrees that day). He was done with the pictures less than 2 weeks later and they turned out really well. Thanks for all you did!!!!!

We hired Rich for our engagement session and wedding photography and we are glad we did! Rich was very helpful throughout the process. He answered any questions we had and helped us to understand our options so we could determine what would be best for us. He also had a backup plan in case of rain, which we came very close to needing. And best of all, the photos were ready so quickly!

Rich was fantastic!!! Not only were our pictures gorgeous - both engagement and wedding sessions, but they truly captured who we are as a couple, a family and as individuals. You can see the love in every moment. It was a wonderful experience working with Rich! My husband and I can both honestly say he was the most professional, genuine and talented "vendor" that we worked with. During the entire planning mode, neither of us had a single worry or doubt when it came to his services. We knew that Rich would not only be there whenever we needed him (returned emails promptly, answered any and all questions, never left us hanging), but that he would be prepared and know exactly how to handle everything that came our way on the big day. Rich even helped my dad put on his tie! :) He gave us a piece of mind when others were giving us concern and stress, and we can't thank Rich enough for that.

We had our engagement photos with Rich this past weekend on a toasty day in Savannah, GA and could not be more excited about the finished product. Although it was hot and I was worried about my face melting off, the pictures turned out amazing!!! My mom and future MIL both called me as soon as I sent them the link and couldn't stop saying how much they love the pictures too. I'm beyond thrilled for Rich to capture our upcoming wedding in October.

Rich made it extremely comfortable for us to pose and we never felt awkward, which was something that my military fiancé was a little worried about, but he felt natural and at ease the entire time. Rich's wife, Rebecca, was also along for the shoot, so they could demonstrate the poses to us which was very helpful. They are such sweet and genuine people and made our engagement session a blast. We told Rich that we wanted to have a beer in our session, so he suggested a cute pub and it was exactly what we had envisioned. He knows the hidden gems in Savannah and the locations he selected were perfect.

As I'm planning my wedding from MD, I really only had the feedback from Wedding Wire and portfolios to make my decision as to who I would use to capture our special day. There are so many photographers to select from in Savannah, but what stood out to me about Rich was the amazing colors in his photos - it just pops. Rich is a professional who knows what he is doing, and I can tell that he truly enjoys it. I could go on and on about how great he is, but just look through his photos and the work will speak for itself. Thank you Rich and Rebecca! We can’t wait for you to be part of special day in October.

My husband and I had our wedding in Savannah, but we live in Atlanta. Rich was very easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. We felt comfortable with him from the beginning because he is so down to earth - genuinely a good person. We also met his wife during our engagement session (she is also very sweet!), and she helped us with some of the awkward positioning. Rich showed us some of the less-famous (yet still beautiful) spots for photos, which we are now so thankful for! He really has an eye for what will make a great backdrop. The day of the wedding Rich was very professional and took care of all the photos that did not involve me while I was getting ready, I didn't even have to think about it. We had both of our dogs in the wedding, and Rich made sure to get plenty of photos of them; something we didn't specifically request but am so thankful he thought of! We just got our photos back and are completely blown away by them. Everyone who sees them is beyond impressed. I personally don't think I am very photogenic, and even I can say I look beautiful in them :0) My mom can't stop raving about how well the photos came out and how great Rich was to work with. Thus far, we've had three people tell us our photos belong in a magazine - and I agree! Rich may have been the best investment we made when wedding planning. I cannot recommend him enough.

Rich and I worked together previously in Savannah, GA, where I lived. When my fiance and I relocated to PA, we thought of Rich to shoot our Nashville, TN wedding. Rich takes pride in everything he does, and it shows through his amazing work. He thoughtfully visited our venues prior to the wedding in order to create a "schedule" for the wedding day. The results were a variety of locations that we would not have otherwise considered. Rich also asked for information regarding our other vendors so that he could tie the whole experience together and tell a story. That is a level of personality that does not occur automatically, and we were very grateful for it.

My husband and I chose Rich to photograph our elopement in Savannah based on the beautiful pictures we found on his website as well as the great reviews. We were immediately drawn to Rich's artistic eye and great use of color in all of the photos, and having never been to Savannah we felt he could guide us to some of the best places for beautiful shots. From start to finish Rich was such a pleasure to work with and we could not be happier with our experience. Rich was able to capture our personalities and we never felt rushed or uncomfortable. The photography session truly felt as if we were walking around historic Savannah with an old friend and taking advantage of the wonderful scenery that surrounded us. We looked at many photographers before choosing Rich, but he really is an artist, and his work is incredible! Rich is a natural artist who knows how to capture beautiful moments with great attention. He did an amazing job on our wedding day! After looking through the photos, I realized how many moments and details he captured. He was early, prepared and I didn’t have to ask him for certain poses…he was all over the place! What was even better was that he had teasers online within just a couple of hours of our wedding.
He captured our special moment, and my husband and I couldn’t be happier!

My fiance and I used Photos by Rich Burkhart for engagement photos and we were blown away with the quality of service and pictures we received from him. He was flexible with scheduling, quick to response to messages, gave great advice/suggestions on location, posture/poses, and what to wear. We felt completely at ease and comfortable during the photo session as Rich is a super friendly and personable person. He arrived with props even when my fiance and I had forgotten them. We had our engagement pictures taken on a Tuesday and received all of the edited photos by Friday! I highly recommend Photos by Rich Burkhart and would definitely use him again in the future.

We used Photos by Rich Burkhart for our family photos at the historic Wormsloe plantation. Rich and his wife were a lot of fun to work with and the photos turned out beautifully. We had a four year old with us so arriving exactly on time wasn't in our cards that morning due to the joys of toddler-hood. Rich didn't sweat it one bit and still gave us more time than we deserved. He has a great eye for a beautiful back drop and he and his wife were really easy to be around and get along with. I would 100% recommend Rich Burkhart to anyone looking to photo-document a special event or family moment.

Rich was incredibly flexible! He offered to stay an extra two hours for a very reasonable fee as he could tell I would like pictures of the end of the reception. He kept me calm in the minutes leading up to the ceremony and took some truly amazing photographs. Everyone loved the photographs as they came out beautifully. Rich provided first class service and I would recommend his services to anyone who wants absolutely amazing photographs and an incredible photography experience!

Rich photographed our wedding and our experience couldn't have been better!! We have such stunning photos to remember this day by, and they were provided to us quickly. I appreciate that none of the poses felt unnatural, he worked with us under pressure ( we were literally being told we had to leave the venue as he was snapping gorgeous photos.) I cannot say enough about the quality of his work, and next time I am in Savannah I plan to work with him again for some family photos!

The best thing we can say about Rich is WOW. The photos came out amazingly beautiful. My husband and I are not photogenic at all and he (my husband) was hesitant about even hiring a photographer. I thankfully put my foot down on this one issue and we are both glad I did because we have so many beautiful and unique photos of our wedding day. Rich must be a magician because he made us look like professional models. He really has an eye. At first I was unsure about one of the backgrounds he was having us pose in front of (it was a rather large container ship) but those particular photos are the ones that people rave about the most. Rich also is very unobtrusive. He managed to get many photos and I really do not recall him even being there! It was the perfect atmosphere. He documented our day but wasn’t in the way. Honestly, it would have been okay if he were in the way because he is such a nice guy and so easy to work with. We didn’t even tell him what shots we wanted ahead of time, though he asked, and when it turned out that my groom and his 15 groomsmen (yes, 15) indeed had specific shots they wanted Rich rolled with it and took amazing photos of them. One other important thing to note is that Rich is FAST! We had our photos in less than one week! We absolutely made the right choice going with Photos by Rich and would do it again in a heartbeat. I’ve even shown the photos to other professional photographers and they were extremely impressed. I know it sounds as though I am gushing and that’s because I am but it is all 100% true.

Rich was a fantastic photographer. He met with us before our wedding. We communicated by email very frequently about the way our wishes were for our pictures. We absolutely love the final product. He was very creative and definitely was flexible to meet already. Planning a wedding from hundreds of miles away was very stressful, but I never once had to worry about my photography. My husband and I would absolutely precommend rich Burkart as a photographer.

Rich is an absolutely fantastic photographer. We were thrilled with the results of our wedding photography. Rich captured our wedding, the details and overall atmosphere and excitement of our day perfectly. He was extremely flexible with our meetings, especially since we were planning from Baltimore, MD. I loved that he was able to come to our rehearsal dinner since we didn't have engagement shots. Best of all, he turned around a blog post of about 30 of our pictures in about a weeks time and all the others (edited, too!) within the following week. You cannot ask for more when you are wanting to reminisce on your most special day. Thank you, Rich!!

I cannot begin to express how happy we are that we booked Rich to photograph our destination wedding. My wedding pictures are absolutely beautiful. We live in Ohio and wanted a beach wedding, I also know how beautiful downtown Savannah is, so I wanted the best of both worlds. Even though Rich lives in Savannah, he was willing to drive back and forth from Hilton Head and Savannah and back again to get every picture I wanted and then my ceremony. He also quickly edited my photos in order to get a slide show and disk back to me within a month for my reception back in Ohio. All with a newborn at home! In my opinion he went over and above for my wedding, while producing amazing wedding pictures. I have had many people tell me that my photos could be entered into magazines or photography contests. We would recommend Rich Burkhart to everyone and anyone. He was affordable, professional, accommodating and fun. I absolutely love my wedding pictures.

We can not rave enough of how awesome Rich and his wife are! I have worked as a photographer myself so its hard to wow me, but he did. He not only listened to my ideas but executed all of them flawlessly as well as added his own great ideas. My now husband is very hard to get to smile and feel comfortable in front of a camera, but some how Rich got him smiling in all our engagement and wedding photos! On our wedding day I hardly even noticed Rich doing his job. He was like a ninja photographer! He got everything on film from the cakes to my Great Uncle cutting a rug with my brides maids! I can't be happier with the finished product or the job he did! As for value, he was the best price we found in the Savannah area and was SO easy to work with for payments. I have suggest Rich to every engaged couple I have meet since my wedding .He is beyond talented, easy to work with and all around he and his wife are a delight to be around! You will LOVE working with him and be blown away by his work!

After being blown away by the talent Rich displayed with our engagement photos, I knew there was no other option for our wedding day then to have Rich there to photograph all the love shared by us and our friends and family. Thankfully he agreed to travel to Augusta from Savannah! I felt so overwhelmed getting dressed and ready that I ended up cutting into some of the time that we had planned for posed group pictures. Rich didn't miss a beat as he is a photojournalist at heart and has a natural talent at preserving in photographs all the precious moments as they unfold. He captured every unplanned moment of me adjusting my daddy's bow-tie, sharing a sweet smile with my new groom, and us staring off into the sunset over the lake. I couldn't have imagined another photographer preserving our milestones over the past year. Rich Burkhart's handiwork will adorn our house for all of our days! He is truly passionate about being a photographer and truly cares about his clients. He was always quick to respond to any emails, concerns, or ideas (writing with sparklers) that I had. Last, and definitely best, he is amazingly speedy at sending you the final product for you to oooooooohhhhhh and awwwwwwww over! I can't wait to have him photograph our family in the future! I can't express enough how much I love his work!!!
