Gabe is the best!

Gabe and his team are truly the best and we cannot recommend them enough if you want the most beautiful, flawless photographs of your wedding day! We discovered Gabe through one of my closest friends and since the moment we met him, his passion for the art of photography was evident. We scheduled our engagement photos with him and not only did we get gorgeous shots, we had the best time taking them! Even my husband enjoyed being photographed for an hour and we couldn’t stop laughing the whole time! On the day of the wedding, he made our bridal party feel so comfortable and confident and had us all laughing the entire time. We recently just received our preview from our wedding day and were truly blown away by Gabe’s artistic talent and the moments he captured. We have gotten the most compliments on these photographs and have had so many family and friends ask for his contact information! We know we will be using Philip Gabriel from now on for all of our future photography needs!

The best in the business!

The Philip Gabriel team is truly the best. They shot both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding day, and we had the best time working with them. At our rehearsal dinner, Gabe managed to get great shots in a small space with less than ideal lighting. And on our wedding day, Gabe Frederick and his entire team were simply spectacular. They were so much fun and so easy to work with. They captured every single detail, and went with the flow of everything. It was a pretty cold day, and Gabe managed to shoot the outdoor photos efficiently while maintaining the highest quality to ensure we did not get too cold. He was flexible with our large family photographs and he made sure to capture every moment of the ceremony and reception. And above all else, they are some of the kindest, most patient, and funniest people to work with. I simply cannot recommend them enough!

Couldn't imagine booking with another photographer!

We chose Philip Gabriel to photograph our wedding at the Franklin institute because their previous work had spoken so much about what they are capable of. From our first phone call, and up to our actual wedding they were the most compassionate and reliable vendor we had booked. They truly take the time to get to know you and what's important to you so that they can get the most perfect pictures. I can't imagine our wedding day without Gabe and his team. He really held us together, made sure everything went smoothly and it was perfect. Fantastic to Work With!

Philip Gabriel Photography was fantastic to work with! They are very professional and have great attention to detail. They did the photography for our wedding and Gabe, Sean, and Kate were all wonderful. They setup a beautifully coordinated first look for us, made sure we got all of the shots we were looking for, and were always in position to capture the candid moments! Dreamy, Best in the Biz

MVP of our wedding???

Despite the bride and groom bringing their A game, Gabe’s performance was exquisite. Meticulous, organized, creative and charismatic throughout, Gabe and his team did such a beautiful job capturing our big day and making it that much more special. All the while doing it with a smile, getting his hands (and body, literally, this guy was facedown on the Philly streets in order to get the perfect lighting and angles) dirty, and cracking up everyone along the way. Gabe’s work is brilliant and his personality is infectious. His team (Virginia and Phil) also were all-stars, assisting with ANYTHING (the veil, train, suspenders, etc.) and ensuring we got the exact other shots. In closing, the pictures are dreamy, more than we could’ve asked for or imagined, and we’ll be using Phillip Gabriel photography for years to come.

Wonderful team to work with!

My husband and I cannot recommend Philip Gabriel Photography enough! This company is organized, responsive and made wedding day photography run smoothly AND on time! When we didn't have a location in mind for bridal party photos, they had wonderful suggestions for outdoor photograph locations near our venue that worked perfectly. Truly the best at what they do

Gabe, Sean, and Lia are true professionals and we had such a great time with them at our Philly wedding. We knew that we wanted to book them as soon as we saw their photos. From the first consultation to the actual wedding day there was consistent communication to ensure every detail and timeline was taken care of. Gabe is very familiar with our venue and knew all of the best surrounding areas for pictures, making that process effortless. We had asked for several rounds of larger family shots and Gabe was so accommodating and kept everyone comfortable and laughing. The team blended right in throughout the whole day and went out of their way to get the best shots. The attention to detail was incredible and the team was always on top of timing to make sure the day stayed on track. This team is 100000% worth it! My husband and I loved every second working with Gabe and the team from the moment we started screening potential vendors and our first consultation with Gabe. Gabe knew our venues, other teams we’d identified we’d like to work with, recommended (but never pushed) other vendors for us to work with, and overall was a pleasure. Just getting our sneak previews during our honeymoon (well before we expected any photos) and we already know the full set will be breathtaking. MUST HIRE! The best of the best

Gabe and his team are absolutely incredible! I cannot express how professional, talented and organized they are. Our original wedding date was 2/27/2021 but with covid we had to push our celebration back a year. Philip Gabriel Photography was so easy to work with and super understanding. They took the stress out of replanning a wedding! On our new wedding date 2/19/2022, Gabe and his team exceeded our expectations. They stayed perfectly on schedule and knew exactly where to shoot throughout the city. Gabe made everyone feel relaxed and we had a blast even with crazy cold and windy weather. Philip Gabriel Photography was amazing for our Philly wedding! Gabe (G2) puts in quality. hard. work! He was dedicated to making sure we relaxed and had fun both at our engagement shoot and on our wedding day! Bellevue Hotel and Grand Ballroom

We were so fortunate to have Susan Beard and her team from Philip Gabriel Photography photograph our daughter's wedding. The pictures are breathtaking. They captured every moment from bridesmaids and Dad's first looks to the gently falling snow as we rang in the new year at midnight. Susan's kind attention to the bride and groom is something every mother could hope for. Weddings last only a day but these pictures will be treasured a lifetime. At the end of the night, I was sad to see her go.

A Dream Team

Philip Gabriel Photography is the best of the best. We used Gabe and his team for our micro wedding in 2020, and for our rescheduled wedding in 2021. The best wedding photo team!!

Gabe and team did a phenomenal job - we couldn't recommend them more highly!! The team was amazing to work with from start to finish - very detail oriented in the planning process to establish our photo shot list and create a timeline for the day, but was also amazingly flexible on the day of when some rain derailed our original plans. Gabe C came up with a great back up plan for photos under cover during the rain and was able to sneak in more shots that we really wanted outside when the rain cleared later in the day - they all turned out beautifully! Gabe C was very fun to work with too and kept everyone laughing throughout the day. Thanks PG team!!

Wedding Photos

We heard about Philip Gabriel from one of the Cescaphe University parties we attended. From the moment we met Gabe (G1), we knew we were in good hands. The passion he has for photography is unmatched. So we booked G1 for our engagement photos along with our wedding. Unfortunately, like many couples getting married during the pandemic, we had to postpone a handful of times. However, each time we made that phone call to Philip Gabriel to inform them of the decision, they quickly turned the conversation from a negative point of view to a positive one and highlighted all the exciting photo opportunities there were for our new date. So fast forward to our second wedding date, when we received the news we could no longer have our reception, we decided to move forward with our marriage and postpone the reception. Like prior, when we informed G1, he was quick to tell us how special and magical our wedding day will be. Not only did he map out all the exciting photo opportunities he was thinking of for January, but he then started laying out all the spots we could shoot for in August when we planned to have the reception. When we finally were able to have the reception, we got to work with the other Gabe (G2). G2 has that same fiery passion for photography. So if you truly want amazing, blown-away photos, you have to book Philip Gabriel Photography. On top of receiving the best photos, the experience you’ll have with Philip Gabriel is top-notch. Their whole team was fantastic to work with from top to bottom and made the entire process so enjoyable.

Best Wedding Photographers Ever

Monica and Lauren were unbelievable photographers. They were personable, low-key, and had a great eye during the entire wedding day. They were both very familiar with our wedding venue and did an incredible job capturing candid moments as well as staged photos that were magazine worthy. We did a micro-wedding and they managed to capture every important moment throughout the day without us even knowing they were there! My husband and I were both blow away by how easy and enjoyable the day was, and much of it was due to their professionalism and good-natured personalities. Monica also did our engagement photos which turned out amazing as well! We will absolutely be using them in the future. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

This team is MUST HIRE! Amazing.

Gabe is a "10/10 would-recommend-must-hire" type of vendor. I mean this with sincerity: he completed our day. His photos are absolutely stunning and capture the most special moments. He makes you SO comfortable in front of the camera and the comfort level allows you to look your best and most real self in every photo. He brought so much fun to our day it was unimaginable. He made us laugh until we nearly cried, boosted our confidence for different poses, kept everything running smoothly and on time, and even went as far as to talk the Philadelphia police into a police escort for us to arrive at the reception on time when we got stuck in the middle of a protest. What photographer does that??!! The number of comments we received from guests about how much they loved our photographer during our wedding was absurd - he was engaging with all the guests and never sat still. Whether he was laying down on the street to get the best angle or sprinting over to a candid moment, he was on his game the entire time (as was the entire rest of his team!). He took the time to understand who our immediate family was so he could capture their best moments. He made our grandparents feel like movie stars, made us as the bride and groom feel relaxed and at ease, and captured all the best shots of all of our loved ones. I would highly recommend that anyone high Gabe and his team for their event. We can't say enough good things and can say with confidence that booking him was one of the best decisions we made through all of wedding planning.

Best of the best!!

Gabe and his amazing team made our wedding day so special from start to finish! Gabe is a family friend of my parents and extremely well known in the wedding scene throughout the Philadelphia and greater Philadelphia region. We knew right away we wanted to book Gabe and his team without a question.
They did not disappoint. From the moment I met with Gabe, it was like we had known each other for years, and funny enough, he had taken photos of an event I worked a few years prior. My now husband and I performed aerial acts at the 21st street Armory and Gave had photos to show us! Small world.
After sticking with us through 2 postponed wedding dates, our day finally arrived and it was a HOT one. 93 degrees to be exact. Gabe and his team did not complain once and did everything in their power to make sure they got the best shots. From Olivia pinning my veil in, to Gabe laying flat on the floor of the church and Broad Street, to helping wipe makeup off of my husbands jacket, they were just incredible. In moments where I could have panicked, they eased the mood with their calm presence and professionalism.
We had a very large wedding party and with a large wedding party comes some chaos when trying to take photos. Gabe knew exactly what to do and where to position everyone in a timely manner (and how to get some boisterous groomsmen to cooperate ;)) His patience with us was amazing!
From beginning to end, Gabe and his team were perfect. We recently got a sneak peak of our shots and I’m IN LOVE!! Cannot wait to see them all. All of the thanks and praise to Philip Gabriel Photography!! Book them now!

Beyond our wildest expectations!

2020 has been a really tough year. Easily the biggest highlight for us was our wedding which just preceded the onset of the COVID pandemic. And we will be eternally thankful to Gabe “G2” Cariola and the entire Philip Gabriel Photography team for the huge role they played in making our day so special. Choosing a photographer for a wedding is obviously a big deal and we met with quite a few. It can be a little bit overwhelming, but when we looked at everyone’s work, it became clear to us that Philip Gabriel was in its own class. We were lucky enough to work with Gabe Cariola aka G2. Gabe immediately put us at ease. We did an engagement shoot with him 9! Months before the wedding and it was a great warm up for the main event. For those of you who are a bit shy in front of the camera, Gabe is so easy to work with and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. Our wedding was in January, and Gabe had the not so easy task of whisking us around Old City Philadelphia, trying to keep us warm and getting great shots—to say he and his second shooter succeeded is an understatement. You really feel special as multiple photographers, lighting specialists and others make sure your day goes perfectly. We’re not even sure how Gabe got some of the shots during the ceremony—he must have been hanging off the ceiling like Spiderman! He’s also got a great sense of humor and is a good sport, which is very important when you’ll be spending all day together and he has to put up with family members not always sticking to the meticulously planned out photo order! We were so happy with how the shots came out. We’re working with Nicole now on our album and can’t wait to see it. I know we’ll be coming back the next time we need lifetime memories. Thanks so much, Gabe! We will always be grateful.

The Best of the Best

We chose Philip Gabriel Photography for our wedding on July 6, 2019. We didn't even bother looking at anyone else, honestly. Gabe and his team shot my sister's wedding 2 years prior and their talent, professionalism, and product all blew us away! The whole team is very helpful and responsive. The planning process was easy with them, and then of course the day of the wedding - the best! They know all the best spots in the city and despite fighting off some downpours, thunder & lightning, and even a tornado warning (!), everything turned out AMAZING! Gabe even stopped traffic on Broad Street to capture some awesome shots! We could not be happier with our pictures, and it was so hard to narrow it down to the ones we picked for our album. From the moment I met Gabe I knew we were in good hands for our son’s wedding. One of our gifts to our son and his new wife was the gift of their wedding album. I’m writing this the day after the wedding so we haven’t even received any pictures yet. Another review to follow I’m sure. I just want to say that Gabe and his team were incredible. They are truly amazing and personable. By the end of the night I felt like they were a part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Amazing and unforgettable experience

Do yourself a favor and HIRE PHILIP GABRIEL PHOTOGRAPHY!! The PGP team completely exceeded all of our expectations. During the planning process, we worked with Anya who was extremely knowledgeable and helped guide us on locations for photos, timeline, how to deal with unique family situations and more. The day of the wedding the team was amazing. We had Gabe, Phil and Anya on our photography team and they made the entire day fun for us - it's not always the most fun posing for pictures but the team was able to make it fun! It was so cool to see the PGP team look around and spot good areas for photos, and these impromptu locations ended up being the most amazing photos. This team is truly incredibly talented, I am beyond impressed. All of our guests commented on how fun and nice the photographers were - how often does that happen?! They never felt in the way or in your face, but continued to make the party fun as the did their job. I just received the preview photos and am blown away. They are the most incredible photos and left me speechless. These photos will last a lifetime and are worth every penny we paid! BEST photographers ever!!! Philip Gabriel Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. We live in NYC and got married in Philly. We didn’t get a chance to meet Gabe prior to our wedding day and we still immediately felt so comfortable and at ease working with Gabe and the rest of the team on our wedding day. They made everything flow so seamlessly. I trusted all of their photo suggestions and they truly took such great care of us. We just received our photo previews and they are beyond amazing. Gabe & Phil photographed our wedding on October 12th - our photos speak for themselves. Philip Gabriel does absolutely beautiful work - they are wonderful to work with, super accommodating and professional. Gabe's energy and fun-loving personality was exactly what we needed on our wedding day - he kept the bridal party engaged throughout the day, he felt our excitement and shared those feelings with us! The Best in the Business

Philip Gabriel photography’s quality is unmatched. Before we even chose to go with Philip Gabriel (PG), we knew they were the best because all the photos we saw of our venue (Ballroom at the Ben) that we adored were PG photos. Meeting the team and speaking to Gabe confirmed we would be in the hands of someone who was equally as passionate about capturing our memories as we were.

From the beginning, Anya at PG made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole process. It was great to have someone guiding us through our wedding planning that made us feel like VIP clients.

Everyone in the PG staff, and especially the two Gabes, have wonderfully ebullient personalities. They made us feel at ease during our wedding day; hours of photos flew by and we can now look back at all our photos with amazement on how beautifully they were captured. Not a moment during our wedding was missed as the PG crew seamlessly blended into the background. We don't know how they did it but it was exactly what we were looking for!

Best choice i made!

I could write a whole novel about how happy I am to have worked with the Philip Gabriel team for my wedding photos. Philip Gabriel is really the best in Philly. On my wedding day I had the pleasure of working with Gabe (G2), Lauren, and Heather. They were fantastic and I can't thank them enough. When I felt nauseous they gave me their water and food. They were always thinking of us and made us all feel so comfortable. They are all so talented, thoughtful, and warm. They also made the day of photos so much fun! Every Picture is Perfect

We are so, so happy we picked Philip Gabriel as our wedding photographer! The whole team is fabulous and Gabe makes every photo opportunity comfortable, beautiful, and easy. My husband was uncomfortable during our Engagement shoot and then a little more reserved during our Wedding Day and Gabe helped to make him feel so comfortable that he embraced the experience and now we have gorgeous engagement and wedding photos.
For the actual Wedding Day, I was a little ambitious with all the family and friend photos I wanted to have. But instead of Gabe and his team negotiating and telling me it would be impossible, they came up with a strategy of how we could make it all happen and IT DID! And the best part? They managed to get all of those special photos without disrupting important moments and conversations or by taking us away from our guests. Every photo occurred seamlessly throughout the day and night. It was perfect.
I should also mention that every photo is beautiful and makes me feel like model. Philip Gabriel knows how to make you feel and look stunning.

Absolutely the BEST!

Our wedding was 10/13/18, and wedding planning sure was stressful! The crew at Philip Gabriel made this whole process so much easier on me. The months leading up to the wedding I had been communicating with Anya a whole lot. She answered emails efficiently and called me to answer my questions. She put me at ease when I was feeling concerned about how the day would flow and assured me there was nothing to worry about.
Well, she was right! These guys made my wedding day perfect! Gabe Fredericks guided us through Old City, Philadelphia, snapping photos of us in the most beautiful locations. The afternoon was seamless, and FUN! His sense of humor had us laughing the entire day. The crew made me and my husband, our bridal party and families feel comfortable throughout the day, as smiling for photos for hours can be strenuous, but the time passed by effortlessly.
I just received all of my photos about a week ago. As if the day feeling perfect wasn't enough, these photos are absolutely magnificent. True pieces of art. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.
Thank you guys for not just being wonderful photographers but also wedding planners, tour guides, and comedians to boot! We love Philip Gabriel!

A Dedicated Photographer who made the day fun and easy

We worked with Philip Gabriel for our Philadelphia wedding on October 13th, 2018. The process for working with PG was very easy, from our initial meeting with Gabe Cariola (G2) through the contracting and package selection process, through to the big day. About four weeks out from the big day, we had a call with Gabe to discuss our timeline, beginning at the Logan Hotel, with first look at Logan Circle, a trolley pickup, more pics at the Barnes Museum and Rodin Museum, then transportation to Tendenza for the main event. Gabe, the secondary shooter Jeff, and their assistant did an awesome job directing us enough to get the shots that would looks great without making the process seem overly stage-managed. We were able to talk and have fun with our bridal party and parents while we were shooting. Once we got to Tendenza for some family pictures before the rehearsal, we made very efficient use of about 25 minutes of time to get both family pictures and some portrait and individual shots in the Piazza at Schmidt’s. From that point onward, the posed pictures ended until cake cutting, and Gabe and Jeff blended seamlessly into the background of our ceremony and reception and allowed us to not give another thought to the picture-taking process. We were thrilled with choosing Philip Gabriel and would recommend them to anyone. We can’t wait to see the final product!

Gabe Fredericks and his entire team were absolutely AMAZING! They were all so much fun to be around and helped make the entire day go perfect. I used Philip Gabriel Photography for my wedding June 9th, 2018 at the Bellevue in Philadelphia. The specific photographer at my wedding was Gabe Cariola of the two Gabe's. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience from start to finish with the company, especially Anya, who was so incredibly helpful every step along the way. I would use them again 100x over, and will likely use them again in the future! They are honest, respond quickly, and were a pleasure to work with. I have not seen the images yet, but have no doubt that they will be incredible. They were great about making the timeline and giving guidance on where to take pictures with adjustments that day. Gabe was so professional and had the best sense of humor, making everyone (especially my mom who hates taking pictures) at ease, laughing throughout the day. I never thought one of the most fun parts of the day would be hanging out with them! He was quick and efficient. I had not met him before that day and he was quick on his toes about making good decisions about our timeline according to that day. If you want to have fun with professionals on your big day and be able to relax as well has have a company that communicates very well with you, don't hesitate to book them! WOW! Working with Gabe and his team was a dream come true. I've worked with Gabe numerous times as someone I recommend to my own clients and was fortunate enough to have him as my photographer for my very own wedding. Gabe was just as full of positive energy from the time he arrived until the end of the evening when he departed. He achieves the perfect balance of being lighthearted and funny (which you need in those stressful moments) as well as being serious to capture the raw emotion of the day.
He and his team were extremely organized and detail oriented through the planning process and on the big day. As a bride, I did not have to worry about anything. That is the most amazing feeling when you can just be the wedding couple and let the professionals do their thing! They were on top of every detail and every photo opportunity. My guests are still talking about how the photographers were everywhere all night long yet not intrusive of our celebration. I think our guests are equally excited as we are to see our photos!

I am responsible for planning our Corporate Event every year, which includes hiring a photographer to capture our employees both candidly and in group shots. I have worked with Philip Gabriel for a few years now and they are hands down the best. So easy to deal with, communication on par. We typically request Monica to photograph our event and I can always trust that she will capture everything. From flowers, to the employees laughing and playing games, all the special touches. She's very good about making sure to gather photographs of EVERYONE which I adore. It's always a pleasure to look back at the photos because she seems to capture everyone in the moment. We also always have a huge group photo at the end, which she organizes and makes sure you can see everyone. If anyone is tucked away or not smiling,, she notices it and pulls it all together. She's got that eye - looking to see if ties are straight or women's hair out of place. Really there is nothing better than having just a perfect photographer to capture everything you miss as the event goes on. I can't say enough good things about this company!!

If I could give them more stars, I would. It was my dream to have Gabe shoot my wedding and from start to finish their service blew us away. We had an engagement shoot in October and wedding in August. Their entire team is professional, personable, talented and easy to work with. Their work speaks for itself but what you don't see is everything they do behind the scenes. Gabe has such a talent for getting people to be themselves in front of the camera. G2 will do anything to get the perfect shot. Right before my father and I walked down the aisle, G2 helped him with the buttons on his tux and made sure that my veil looked perfect. Anya went above and beyond to make the day run smoothly. She helped put my veil on, ran back to the room because we forgot my mother's corsage and has an incredible eye for detail. They make you feel incredibly special and I can't recommend them enough!

There are not enough words of thank you that I could said to the photographers of Philip Gabriel Photography that worked our wedding. Gabe Cariola, Jeff and Olivia not only did an awesome job but they were really fun to hang out with all day. By the end of the day they felt like part of the family. Everyone at Philip Gabriel exceeded our expectations! Not only was Gabe professional, friendly, and incredibly talented but everyone else who worked there went above and beyond for us! Anya responded to every email the same day we sent it and our pictures were SO beautiful and really captured everything we would have wanted in the day. They were flexible to work with and also extremely kind. I even had other bridesmaids comment that when she gets married she won't use anyone else. Gabe knows Philly like the back of his hand! I did not have to worry about choosing where any pictures would be. He offered a gorgeous side street for our first look and even took us to this tucked away spot with beautiful greenery for further pictures. We used Philip Gabriel photography for our engagement photos in December and for our wedding in June. We are THRILLED with all of the images. Gabe was so fun to work with. He put us at ease when we felt uncomfortable in front of the camera, and he captured everything we wanted and more. The thought of a long photo session made us apprehensive, but working with Gabe made it feel like we were working with a friend who just happened to be snapping some pictures! We didn't even give him a shot list for our wedding because we trusted him so much and he delivered above and beyond our expectations! I am so happy that I chose Gabe as the photographer for our big day. We chose to do engagement photos to get comfortable with the process and Gabe made it so easy and fun. Then, between the engagement session and our wedding he and his team was available to chat to make sure that we were ready for the big day. On our wedding day, it ended up pouring, but of course- Gabe had an incredible backup plan for everything. I genuinely had no worries about anything the morning of the wedding-- he was in control of the timing, first look, family photos- everything. And, even in the pouring rain, it could not have gone better. He and his team were so easy to work with and so enjoyable to be around. Looking back, when I was engaged and thinking about which vendors to choose I didn't really think about the fact that your photographer is someone that you are with all day long! You need to really like them and trust them completely. Gabe has my highest recommendation- not only for his ability to capture incredible photos, but for his ability to make the whole process feel seamless. My husband and I were thrilled working with Philip Gabriel Photography.

Gabe is extremely punctual and professional. He was on time for the wedding and for the engagement shoot. Everything in the contract was honored. He has such a great personality and adds to your day. Since he has been doing this for such a long time he was able to come up with a great plan for where and when to shoot. Last minute we decided to add an additional hour and a half of photography and he was very accommodating. This was just a couple of days before the wedding and it was no problem at all. During our shoot, he physically laid down in front of city hall just to get the perfect shot.

We loved our images and were so glad that we chose Gabe. I don't have any negatives in working with him or his team. I know they are expensive, but what you receive is well worth it.

My husband has already hired Gabe again to do an upcoming shoot for an event that he is hosting. We will definitely be using him for milestone moments for years to come.

When I was planning my October 2016 wedding, I went in with absolutely no clue what I was doing. I knew nothing about cake, florists, what kind of dress I wanted. I had no secret Pinterest board. I knew exactly ONE thing. Phillip Gabriel had to do the photography. I've been in love with their beautiful style since I first saw a photo of my friend, captured perfectly mid-champagne toast, with glowing lights and happy faces all around. Now I have my own amazing photos back and I've gotten so many compliments about how amazing they are from countless family members and friends. Looking at them I can actually remember the way I felt during all the moments that got so blurred together in the rush of the day. Real moments and emotions were captured. In my opinion, there is no equal. That may sound dramatic, but it's true.
Now - that's just the photos. Let's talk about the experience. Gabe Cariola “G2” is amazing to work with. He made all of us feel so comfortable and relaxed. He was funny, fun to spend the day with (this is important! you'll be together all day!), and not afraid to get into the action to make sure nothing was missed. He's extremely professional, good under pressure (we got stuck in traffic on the way back from a location), excellent at improvising and great at capturing the little details that happen when no one else is paying attention. Anya Antonyuk is amazing to work with as well. She's responsive, friendly, professional, and also makes you feel at home. She was the wedding day MVP. We realized that my veil was sewn upside down so it wouldn't work with my hairstyle. Anya whipped out a sewing kit, carefully pulled the stitches out, and sewed it back together - way above and beyond the call of duty. She was also invaluable to the groomsmen, helping to fix bow ties and boutonnieres so everyone looked perfect. She held my purse, my dress, my shoes, my flowers... I would have been a complete mess without her. They are amazing!!

Planning a wedding can be a daunting task. In our case, we dealt with planning two back to back - one Catholic, one Hindu. Searching for the right vendors was difficult, there was no audition or even in person meetings, just phone conversations as we were planning from a distance. We had the chance to speak with Gabe on the phone and knew right away we wanted his group at our wedding.

Philip Gabriel Photography was the best vendor decision we made and we can not imagine it having turned out any better. For two days they led us to perfect shots when needed and shadowed us when the mood was more casual. There was never a time we had to find their team, and they were the most professional of all of our vendors. They coordinated with our families and kept the mood relaxed when everything was so overwhelming. We were excited to see our photographs after the long weekend, and were truly blown away when we did.

A wedding is a whirlwind time. People may remember food, music or the venue, but you want the memories of you and your new spouse. You hope to remember a few moments, but having the best photography team capture your memories allows you to relive that day over and over. Philip Gabriel Photography were our photographers but also assisted making our days the best they could be. Thank you to Gabe, Gabe and Olivia for being there for us.

We used Philip Gabriel Photography for our wedding in July 2016 and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. Gabe Cariola and his team were very thorough and easy to work with. From the engagement shoot to the “first look” portion of our wedding day, Gabe helped us pick awesome locations and his direction made the entire process comfortable and fun not only for us, but for our wedding party and families as well. Throughout the ceremony and reception, he was able to capture every moment perfectly without us even realizing he was there – the mark of a true professional. The quality and variety of images we received is amazing and we couldn’t be happier.

We could not have asked for a better photography team! We hit the jackpot with Philip Gabriel Photography. Every member of their team was absolutely incredible! It was amazing to meet Gabe at the beginning of our wedding planning process. Not many photographers take the time to sit down and talk with you before even booking them. He was so personable and easy to talk to, I knew we would work well together on our wedding day. Anya was absolutely fantastic corresponding with us throughout the entire planning process.
On the day of our wedding we were lucky enough to have the all-star photography team of Gabe, G2, and Olivia! They were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We had the best time with them all day long. They made us feel comfortable and at ease when taking all of our photographs. Our family and bridal party raved about how awesome all three of them were and how lucky we were to have them. Olivia hustled all day to keep the bride and groom looking fresh, while making our pictures perfect.

True professionals from start to end. We looked online for a photographer for our engagement. Once we got to Philip Gabriel Photography's website and checked the engagement section, we knew they are exactly what we're looking for. It could not have been better than this. Despite a very hot day in Philly, the photographer, Gabe, worked with us with extreme patience, professionalism and care. He was also flexible with our schedule and arrived on time. The pictures... marvelous! While we were cranky due to the heat and not being used to be in front of the camera, Gabe took some really nice shots that will remain forever in our memory. Kudos to Gabe and Philip Gabriel team. You guys did an amazing job!

You can stop looking for your photographer now because Gabe and his team are literally the best. First of all, I'm one to do a TON of research on everything and anything before I book/buy and second, I never write reviews - so enough said. I didn't believe it when Gabe told me he would make my very unphotogenic husband and I look good - well, he was right. The photos turned out AMAZING - and my friends and family won't stop raving as well. The team is so professional, so creative, so helpful, really just all around fantastic. You won't regret it - book them ASAP!

Extremely happy with Philip Gabriel Photography! Gabe #2 and his team were so great to work with. They made me laugh and feel at ease, which was much appreciated on such a nerve-filled day! They were very organized and time-efficient throughout the day, especially with all of the group pictures (wedding party, families, etc.), yet they didn't hurry us along. We cannot say enough good things about Gabe Fredericks and the entire PG team! He photographed our wedding at the Four Seasons last May and our pictures came out absolutely stunning. He knew just where to go around the hotel to get the perfect shots with the best lighting. And he risked nothing for the perfect photo — even getting down on his stomach in the grass several times! Gabe was wonderful to work with in the planning stage and always incredibly easy to communicate with. Gabe2 was absolutely amazing and took the most gorgeous photos for our engagement shoot. He was familiar with my choice in locations and spent over two hours taking well over 1,000 photos! He even timed the session so we would have some amazing sunset silhouette photos. Everyone who has seen the online album has said they can't choose their favorite because each photo looks beautiful! My fiancé was nervous in front of the camera but Gabe2 soon had us laughing and relaxed and easily captured the wonderful moments between me and my man. I find myself going through all the photos and smiling because I am so happy with the result. Philip Gabriel is without a doubt the best, I HIGHLY recommend them and I cannot wait to see what they will do for the wedding day :)
Update –I am so impressed with Philip Gabriel, the office is extremely responsive and I never have to wait for someone to answer an email. I swear they never take any time off! Our wedding photos were absolutely PERFECT! Gabe and his team were amazingly professional throughout the entire wedding day and truly did a phenomenal job! From one bride to another, you must remember - these photographs are going to last you for the rest of your life. You want these images to reflect more than a smile and a pretty dress, you want them to capture the priceless emotions that come with your magical day. Philip Gabriel and his team don't just take pictures, they capture the beauty and heart of the moment. As I looked at each image I was able to relive the joy and excitement from that amazing day. I saw how my husband and I laughed together, our stunning venue, the expressions on the faces on my closest friends and family and the happiness that all felt throughout the party. There are no words to describe how wonderful it was to work with Gabe and his team. Gabe did my engagement and wedding photos. From day one, he was so easy to work with and get a hold of. He also had great advice and recommendations for other vendors. In the months leading up to the wedding, Gabe helped to put my mind at ease. We recently were married at the end of October this past year and used Philip Gabriel for our wedding photographer. Gabe and Anya were and amazing team to work with from day one of planning our wedding. In the coming months and weeks leading up to the wedding the Philip Gabriel team was always easy to get a hold of any time of day if I had a question or needed something. They were courteous and seriously so much fun to work with. On the day of the wedding they arrived on time and always made taking photos fun for our entire bridal party. As the bride they always made me feel at ease even though we were on a timeline with out photo shoot after the ceremony. Anya was always at my side to fix my hair or veil if it was blowing in the wind the wrong way and I honestly had SO much fun running around the city with my bridal party and husband after the ceremony to get some awesome historic and meaningful shots! My husband is in the Air Force and our wedding was a full military service wedding, complete with military uniforms and the saber arch after the ceremony. Philip Gabriel captured every detail down to my husbands wings that were pinned on his military service dress. These little details mean everything to me and I really appreciate the time they took to look for these fine details and know how special they were to our families and us. Now, after seeing our wedding album and all the amazing images they took I cannot say enough great things about Gabe and his crew! If you want your special day to be captured by only the best, pick Philip Gabriel Photography!!!

Philip Gabriel Photography is the best!! Aside from the venue, photography was one of our most important decisions to be made for planning our wedding, and we couldn't be happier that we went with Philip Gabriel! The shots taken from the entire wedding day are absolutely incredible, and they truly captured the day through our eyes. The entire team is just amazing! Gabe Fredericks dominated the day, making sure he got every picture that we wanted and capturing it in the best way possible; he is so unbelievably talented in what he does, and you can put so much trust in him to make sure everything gets done. Gabe did an excellent job managing our large family and bridal party. We even had our 7 nieces and nephews (ranging from 8 months to 5 years) with us during the day, and Gabe managed to get the most breathtaking and memorable shots of all of them. I remember thinking multiple time throughout the day, "thank god for Gabe!" Olivia (Gabe's assistant throughout the day), was an enormous help with everything; I had a very long train on my dress and veil, so having her help with pictures and walking throughout the city was amazing. Gabe Cariola (Gabe's associate photographer) worked with my husband and the groomsmen before we all got together, and I loved seeing these pictures! They were all shot so well and had such a natural/candid feel to them. Overall, this team gets the best job done, and I'm so thankful that we were able to have them as our photographers for our wedding day. Though it's something to budget for, they are definitely worth their weight in gold!

Gabe and his team are the best around and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for an amazing team to capture their day! They were punctual, super attentive and did everything they could to capture the perfect shot. They have a true artful style and Gabe is the nicest guy around. His awesome personality is also what makes him the perfect choice for your day. Jeff was also amazing and really captured some of the best shots at the grooms house. He even went as far as laying on the ground the the wet snow capture some shots for us. Anya, Gabe's Assistant is also the best and we extremely helpful all day. Gabe and Gabe 2 were amazing!! From the first time we met With Gabe we knew he would be our photographer. Conversation was easy and he made the whole experience comfortable! The day of the wedding the both just made it an awesome experience! At the reception the were everywhere getting all different poses and were holding our Go Pro for the Congo line- it was great! Their assistant Amber was great as well. She was crawling on the ground making sure my dress stayed down and looked amazing since it was so windy! All three were so committed to their different roles in the pictures. We haven't gotten out pictures back yet but I can't wait to see them!!! Absolutely recommend for other weddings!

My husband and I just got our wedding photos back from Gabe last night, and they are AMAZING!! Looking through them was like re-living the wedding … PRICELESS! We LOVE them! I can't say enough about how wonderful Gabe and his staff are. From start to finish, it was such a pleasure working with them - they are true professionals!

My husband and I had the best time during our “first look” photo shoot and then of course with our wedding party (of 20 people!) on Broad Street in Center City Philadelphia. We had a very large wedding, and Gabe and his team were kind enough to stay late at the reception to get pictures of all of the (many, many) friends and family that were there!

Our pictures from Philip Gabriel Photography were beautiful!! Gabe & Gabe 2 really captured just how happy we were that day. I don't think there is a single picture without a smile! Superb! From the 1st meeting with Gabriel, it was evident that he was not only personable and thoughtful, but that he was the consummate professional. He was gracious both in his manner and in his time, carefully explaining the various packages and accommodating some of our requests and allowing us to custom make a package that suited our needs. My daughter lives in DC, and I had some medical issues, but Gabe was boundless in his time and patience in order to work with our complicated schedules. He also spent time interviewing the bride and groom to gain insight into their personalities, and used this insight to provide them with the photos they wanted and felt comfortable taking. I would be remiss if I did not mention that my daughter and I often called on Gabe to mediate between us during the usual pre-wedding fears and conflicts associated with this wonderful but occasionally stressful day. His wisdom and experience helped us get through a couple of rough patches. On the day of the wedding, once again Gabe proved to be the photographer extraordinaire. He captured everything we wanted with astounding expertise, creativity, and artistry. He took a range of photographs from the beginning to the end of the wedding, from the application of my daughter’s make up to the last dance. And it is impossible to narrow our choices for the album because every photo is a “keeper.” Both the candids and the posed photos are outstanding. His staff is also terrific, all of whom maintain unstinting patience given the necessity to capture everyone and everything in such a limited time span. All of this done without producing photographs which appear either corny or contrived. Most of all, we really, really like Gabe. In addition to being a superb photographer, he also is the nicest, most sincere, and most wonderful guy. My daughter says the most common complaint among her friends is that their photographer neglected to get any number of critical shots. We got everything & more.

Gabe was one of the best choices I made in the entire wedding planning process. He is truly trained in the art of photography and is a professional in every sense of the word when it comes to running his business and executing on wedding day. I woke up the day after my wedding thinking how happy I was with my photographer choice.
I shopped a lot of photographers initially placing a lot of importance on the photos as this is what you take with you in the years ahead. Gabe was more expensive then I had budgeted to spend but I stretched and booked him anyway because I knew he would be just that good. He is trained in photography so knows how to utilize light and backgrounds to frame your photos. He is relaxed and fun and quick.. everyone felt comfortable, a lot of joking around on wedding day to allow for true smiles and relaxed poses. He is unobtrusive, provides helpful direction during the shots, is great at capturing the candid moments, and executed out shot list completely.
My wedding day was very logistically busy, many locations with driving up to an hour inbetween. He pretty much ran my day as if he was my coordinator... showed up on time, made sure we left each location at the exact time I wanted to, got every shot in each location I wanted, and continuously checked in with me to let me know the time, schedule and plan. I was completely stress free! Any ad hoc photos we or family members wanted him and his partner Gabe #2 took care of easily. They were both so fun and it was great to have them both available during the getting ready process to capture both the bride and groom sides. Gabe also had an assistant that day who was helpful in prepping shots and holding my dress!
Ultimately, when the photos came in we were speechless, and that is how you should feel. Everyone commented on how it looked like we belonged in a magazine. Just stunning, I didn't even have any self criticism they were just that good! Thank you for the memories!

Words cannot describe how amazing it was to work with Philip Gabriel Photography! They helped capture every moment of our wedding and we will cherish the photographs forever. We had a team of 3 amazing people, I have to give a personal shout out to Anya who was better than the venue bridal assistant. She held my lip gloss, was constantly fighting to keep my veil out of my way, she went above and beyond and I was so appreciative of that. We got our preview images quickly both online and the 4x6. We interviewed 5-6 photographers, Philip Gabriel happened to be the first one and none of the others came close to offering what they did...world class service!

Everything we asked for they provided, truly the best vendor of our wedding! If you are getting married, or even just want to do photographs of your family these guys are the best! We will be going back to them for any professional photos we need!

Philip Gabriel photography captured every moment of my special day perfectly. They provided me with pictures that will let me relive memories of one of my favorite days of my life for years to come! They are professional, easy to work with and as a bonus so much fun! When the big day is over you only have the photos and it is important to hire the best since you only get one shot. Gabe is better than the best!!! I have kept in touch with gabe and his team over the years and they just did family photographs for my newborn son that came out beautifully (though I'd expect nothing less from their work)! After doing a lot of research on different photographers in the area we worn torn between two, but the minute we met with Gabe (G2) our decision was made! Of course the team at Philip Gabriel's work is amazing as anyone can see from their website, but they are an absolute pleasure to work with and very experienced! Gabe definitely knows how to work a wedding and his knowledge of the local area is so helpful - we put all of our confidence in him to do what he does best and didn't have to worry a bit. Getting photographed can be uncomfortable at times for sure, but Gabe did an awesome job putting us at ease and making us laugh. He also works quickly and kept us on time, but made sure to get the shots that were important to us. Jeff and Anya were awesome too. We didn't notice the team at all throughout the day - they blended right in and were able to capture our candid moments without making themselves the center of attention!

I would recommend Philip Gabriel Photography to anyone looking for an amazingly talented photography staff with tons of energy, positive attitude, and creative eye. My husband and I recently were married at Saint Augustine's Church in Philadelphia and had our wedding reception at Vie, one of Cescaphe's venues. It was raining on and off that day and difficult conditons one would seemingly think for great photogrpahy. Our photographer Gabe came prepared with umbrellas for my husband and I to take the photos we wanted through washington square and even got down laying face down on the wet ground just so he could capture certain angles of my husband and I walking through the park together as newly weds. We are two people that are never great at showing affection in public but Gabe had a way to keep us fully relaxed and be ourselves the entire time to really have fun with the whole photo experience and take fun natural shots outside together. He also late night took pictures of us on Broad Street with the city lights that was amazing and was willing to direct traffic around us just so he could capture the best angle of us. His abillity to coordinate a large bridal party of 18 people, my husband and I and our family members was amazing!!! He worked fast but professionally and everyone was enjoying his jokes and abillity to have fun with taking great photography. He also took us to City Hall to capture more fun shots together with our bridal party. If I ever have to hire a photographer there is no one else I would ever use but Philip Gabriel Photography- Specifically Gabe Fredericks and his team!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gabe and his team! I was planning my wedding from California and did not get to meet Gabe and Anya in person until the day of my wedding. We immediately clicked and they helped to ease my nerves by keeping things light and making us laugh the whole day! Their energy is contagious, the professionalism is second to none and their results are the best I have EVER seen! Many of my friends told me I would probably dislike 90% of my picture but be able to find enough great shots to make an album (based on their experiences with other photographers). I must say, I love EVERY SINGLE PICTURE that Gabe took! The angles, the poses and the back drops he picked were pure perfection. Your wedding goes by in a flash so your memories turly rest on the shoulders of your photographer and thanks to Gabe I will have the most beautiful pictures to covet for years to come.

We would highly recommend using them! We loved everything about them!! They were incredible- very personable, very professional and overall amazing to work with! They made the entire process as smooth as can be. Gabe 2 was our photographer and we absolutely loved him!! We have recommended Philip Gabriel Photography to all of our friends that have gotten engaged!

Gabe and his team are wonderful photographers and they are also wonderful people. The entire experience of working with them was delightful. We bonded with Gabe immediately and with each meeting our familiarity and friendship grew. We absolutely made the right choice in hiring them!

Philip Gabriel Photography has been an absolute pleasure to work with!!!

Going back a year+, when I first saw their images online, I absolutely fell in love with their style! Knowing we wanted to use them right off the bat, we booked over a year in advance. At our first meeting with Gabe, he immediately set the tone for a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction. There were many phone calls between booking, our engagement photos (which came out amazing!), and the actual wedding day. Anya did a fantastic job keeping on top of all my questions (and there were many of them) and Gabe always returned my calls in a timely fashion. Furthermore, because we valued Gabe's caliber of work and work ethic so much, we often asked for his recommendations on other vendors...never once were we disappointed!! I often joked with Gabe that we had put together Gabe's dream team. All kidding aside though, our day would not have been as amazing as it was without each of those vendors. On the day of the wedding, Gabe, Gabe, and Anya showed up to my hotel room. They worked wonderfully with the videographer and started capturing the bridal prep without being invasive or needing guidance. Most of the time, I hardly realized they were in the room! This was also the case for both the ceremony and the reception. Our guests were not distracted by large cameras swarming us or them. In fact, many of our guests told us how much they appreciated that!

Last and certainly not least, Gabe 2 did a fantastic job rounding up family members for formal photos, helping us to stay on time, while Anya thankfully brought some clear umbrellas with her, which came in handy during a rain shower!

The Philip Gabriel photography crew was hardly just a vendor to us. As they captured one of the most important days of our lives, we truly felt that they were part of our family! We are really looking forward to seeing our images! A job well done Philip Gabriel photography!!!

Gabe was wonderful to work with before and especially on the day of the wedding. The pictures were so phenomenal we had trouble choosing which to put in the album. Also Anya was terrific with designing the album. The finished album is amazing thanks to this team.

From our first meeting with Gabe- known as G2- we felt very comfortable to call and ask him for any guidance that we needed in planning for engagement and wedding photos. On the day of the wedding he was patient and calming as he proceeded with the photos throughout the afternoon. He took pains to be sure that he did not miss any photos that were important to either family. The bride and groom said that he was great with the bridal party shoot as well.

It was so important to me to have a photographer that would capture the special moments of my wedding in a candid, unique and artistic way - not only did Gabe (and Gabe!) get the most amazing shots that truly spoke to the emotions of the day, he made my husband and I look like we were models! I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a fabulous photographer!

One downside - too many amazing photos to choose from!!!!

Gabe and his crew are flexible, courteous, passionate about their craft, highly talented and best of all, take care of everything so that you don't have to think about the photography at the event. Beautiful images are waiting for you within days! They are amazing!

Gabe , was absolutely wonderful from the very first time my husband and I met him. He was delightful on the phone and very flexible with times to meet. He spent over 2 hours with us at our first meeting after 6 pm on a Friday evening!!!!!! He is very warm and funny. It is very evident that he loves what he does. He listened carefully to what we wanted and the photographs were spectacular. I really cannot praise him enough in this review. He is a phenomenal ! He took the most beautiful pictures at our wedding , capturing some very poignant moments. I never felt the camera was constantly flashing - he is so subtle - but his pictures are stunning. I know I sound repetitive but I am so overwhelmed and grateful to Gabe and his team. His team was punctual , professional and just splendid people to work with. Gabe pays attention to the smallest details - at one point the music became slightly loud and the DJ had stepped out for a few minutes and Gabe jumped on that.
In my mind, he has captured the most beautiful images of the happiest day on my life. If I need a photographer again - Gabe would be my only choice!!!!

Gabe and his team were incredible to work with - calm and patient, yet extremely professional at the same time. The photographs turned out amazing and looked like they should belong in a magazine! I really like Gabe's style and approach to photography - he captures genuine moments. I would highly recommend using Philip Gabriel for your wedding day. Gabe captured so many magical moments and we are so happy we have the photographs to help us relive our wedding day!

Absolutely amazing!!!! Professional and exactly what we were looking for! We looked at several photographers and they stood out by far! They had the package components that we wanted. Come our wedding day they did an outstanding job capturing the moments and memories that would last forever with our pictures! Gabe and his team go above and beyond to make their clients day as special as possible. They are personable and professional at the same time and really work hard to make the bridal party as well as all the guests as comfortable as possible. So many people who attended our wedding commented how it didnt even feel like we had a photography team there yet how enjoyable they were to talk to throughout the day and night. There is no one better than Philip Gabriel Photography. Anyone who is willing to lay down in the middle of Broad Street in Center City Philadelphia to get "the shot" is as good as they come!

Having Gabe and Gabe shoot our wedding was a dream realized. I'd seen their work via a friends wedding and had to wait patiently until I became engaged and could call them! The day of the wedding they were so professional and it was as if they weren't even there! My pictures just came back and my friends, family, and I are in picture heaven. Gabe and his team are amazing.

Philip Gabriel's photography is truly a work of art that captures the beauty of each moment. Gabe was easy to work with, took all the special pictures we requested and had our pictures ready to view shortly after our wedding. Gabe took two of our daughter's wedding pictures and we hired him to take a third daughter's wedding scheduled soon.
