Paul was unlike any other photographer I worked with. We were having a teenage girl meltdown during the beginning of the wedding, and he did such a great job of capturing terrific shots despite the challenge. Near the end, Paul had made it so fun for everyone that she was all smiles near the end! We have so many beautiful shots that we get tons of compliments on. I would refer him strongly to anyone.

Paul is a "professional" in every aspect of the word. Our experience working with him was very enjoyable and he has a extraordinary eye for photography and detail. I told Paul that we would like more candid shots and left it open for him to use his creativity and we are very glad we did. When we received our photographs (in record time, mind you)they exceeded our expectations.
I would highly recommend him to anyone for any occasion.

Paul was fantastic. When he says he takes over 3000 pictures, he is right. There are so many pictures to choose from. He makes it hard to choose the best ones. He is very professional and get's the job done quickly. His albums were the main reason I went with Paul. They are so beautiful. Check him out! You will not be disappointed.

Paul Retherford was our first and only choice for photography at our September wedding. The images he captured are breathtaking and beautiful. We found Paul first online and were extremely impressed by his website. The albums he chose to display showed the vast range of emotions at all weddings - the happiness, the beauty, the love, and the laughter. He was able to capture them all! When we met Paul for the first time (he was not from our local area), he was professional and you could tell he loves his job. We reviewed his portfolio, which included wonderful samplings of the many weddings he has photographed. All the wedding magazines tell you not to interview just one photographer; they also tell you to make sure you hire someone who has an assistant also taking photos. To that I say, "You haven't met Paul." He was the only one who shot our wedding, but he got everything! There are images during the wedding from the front of the church, from overhead, and from the back. The reception photos included everything from dancing to pictures of tables to food to other vendors. Paul did not miss a thing! We feel so completely blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Paul. He captured some of the most beautiful pictures of the wedding party at Lake Michigan after the wedding and before the reception. We had a wonderful time and each time we look through the photos, we find a new favorite. I cannot recommend Paul highly enough. His work will blow you away. Trust me!

Paul is absolutely awesome with fun, fresh, new ideas!!! Everywhere I go, people are still commenting on how unbelievable our wedding pictures are. I have gotten many comments also that his photos are so good that they look like they should be in a magazine. I have a family member that is expecting a baby this December, and they now want to book Paul to take a family portrait of them next year! I would recommend Paul to anyone!!! HE IS OUTSTANDING!

Paul's professional and personable nature allowed our guests to be at ease. He took time to meet with us twice to review some of his other wedding images so he could get a better sense of our style and he captured additional images that were similar to ones I had seen in magazines. Our family and friends haven't stopped telling us how impressed they were with Paul and the images he captured. He did more than take pictures - he added to our day.

Paul did an awesome job photographing our June 21st 2008 Wedding. His website was extremely helpful (check out the FAQ page). This was one thing that helped me out tremendously when interviewing all the photographers I met with. I booked him over a year and half before my wedding, and within 3 weeks of meeting with him. He was extremely easy to get a hold of, in e-mail or on the phone. When I met him initially he was friendly and came prepared with an example album and even traveled to my hometown to meet (a 30 min drive from where he used to live). Service on the day of the wedding was professional and many of my family enjoyed watching him work. They really enjoyed seeing our pictures on his laptop during the reception. I haven't received my album yet as I am still in the process of editing down all the fabulous pictures (wish I could afford to make the never ending album), but I promptly received my proofs (dated June 23rd) and was in my mailbox when we returned from our honeymoon. Overall, one of the best wedding professionals that I worked with the day of my wedding! He was essential in making our wedding day as perfect as it was!

Paul was wonderful. He is very professional and knowledgible. Everyone commented on how great the photos looked. He set up a laptop during the reception so people could see the pictures that he had already taken. By the end of the night he had taken 3,000 shots. It was hard to pick our favorites. But one of the great benefits is that we co-own the rights to the pictures. We got a high resolution CD with all the pictures on it, so later if we want a different shot we can have it printed. I would re-hire Paul in an instant and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I was very satisfied with the service we received from Paul Rutherford. He was very easy to talk to and we all felt comfortable during photography time. It didn't feel stressful and during the reception he took great candid pictures and you didn't even know he was there. Paul was very professional and worked well with the other vendors. Our wedding day ran so smoothly and we have great pictures to remember our special day! I would definitely recommend Paul as a wedding photographer!
