Our wedding at Haley Mansion was like stepping into a Nutcracker fairytale. The winter decor was breathtaking, and our guests were amazed by the elegance of the venue.

As a bride on a budget, I was thrilled to fit all my dreams within the venue. The team was warm, patient, and incredibly flexible, handling last-minute changes effortlessly. Our guests felt spoiled, and many said it was the most elegant wedding they’d ever attended.

Haley Mansion made our day unforgettable—highly recommend!

The place holds a special meaning for us now, and not just because this was our reception venue, but there were a few hidden surprises and it is a hidden gem that matched our style perfectly. The outdoor gardens were beautiful and the inside decor was unique. The menu which was made on site is *chefs kiss*. The top notch service goes to the staff that made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was also mesmerizing with the ambient lighting in the spacious ballroom area. While everything for the most part was perfect, the one thing I will say that I didn’t like after the fact was when we had dropped off items to be placed in certain rooms or tables (memory table and generation wedding table) the special pictures that we labeled accordingly were not placed in the proper spot and a signature drink sign was not placed properly at the bar also. Overall, it was a night to remember for years to come.

I cannot say enough good things about The Haley Mansion!!!! My husband and I were blown away by the attentiveness to the us and the bridal party the day of the wedding. We keep getting compliments from our guests on the food and the service. The Mansion’s beauty brought the evening to life, and we took pictures outside of the mansion at night, and they are GORGEOUS!!! I HIGHLY recommend checking out the Haley Mansion, and you will fall in love with the venue. Also, their Christmas decorations make a perfect Christmas wedding ❤️

This was my dream venue! Beautiful garden for the ceremony, classy decor for the reception where you could still see the outside (which was ideal in case we got rained out. I still wanted it to feel like an outside wedding and the glass conservatory would have made a lovely plan b if necessary but thankfully it wasn’t!), and a fun interior that made you feel like you were in a period romance novel!
Every single guest at our wedding commented on how gorgeous this venue was. A lot of them had fun roaming through the mansion. The food was great especially the peppermint ice cream and the staff was excellent! Having heard from many other brides I expected to not have any food during cocktail hour but a server brought a tray out for us to snack on during the photos and the maitre d was always there to refill my drink so I didn’t have to go to the bar. I worked with savanna for the planning and she was an absolute delight to talk to each time. And I cannot thank them enough for their flexibility during the covid pandemic. Our original date was in April of 2020 which did not happen so when we needed to reschedule they gave us a lot of flexibility with our date since we rescheduled over a year out and we’re very generous with our guest count since it was during the vaccine roll out and we had people waiting until the last minute to rsvp and then a few that cancelled after the fact.
The only thing I can would recommend is when you are filling out your contract, don’t wait until the tasting to put in your food and drink in. You can probably always negotiate up but we didnt lock in our ideas early so we when the new year rolled around (we had planned our wedding out over a year before we needed to reschedule so this was not due to covid) the prices for everything went up a dollar or two and that adds up.

My now husband and I got married at the Haley Mansion last night and it was an absolute dream. We worked very closely with Sandy throughout the entire process, and she made everything as easy and enjoyable as possible despite the current uncertainty of the world. No request was too big for her; no matter what we asked, she found a way to make it happen all while making it look effortless. Her chefs, wait staff, and butlers are also some of the most wonderful people we have ever met in our lives--special shoutout to Eli, who was our personal butler for the day! Our guests still cannot stop raving about how professional yet personable each and every one of them was. I get teary just thinking about them, both out of happiness for having gotten to work with them and out of sadness because I don't get to do it again!

I feel like I don't have to say much about the aesthetics of the mansion, because it is certainly clear from the photos that it's a gorgeous venue, but it is even more breathtaking in person. I could not imagine a more dreamy and fantastical place to have gotten married. We both feel incredibly fortunate that the Haley Mansion is a part of our story forever. To everyone at the mansion, we love you all!!!!!

The Mansion and grounds are absolutely stunning. I visited many venues but nothing compared to the Haley Mansion.

We did our ceremony & reception August 2019 and I could not asked for a more perfect wedding! The staff throughout the wedding worked hard to ensure we had a quick transition with our timeline. Received numerous of compliments from our guest about the customer service. I am beyond happy on how our wedding turned out. Our personal server Jenny was attentive from bringing us drinks to even putting away our food and deserts that with the hustle and bustle I didn’t have a chance to eat. They take care of so many details this made planning everything stress-free we are forever grateful! Highly recommended.

We are so looking forward to having our wedding here in July 2020. I attended a wedding here years ago as a guest and it has always stood out to me as one of the most beautiful and classy venues I’ve ever been to. Can’t wait to make it our own and say I Do in the beautiful garden!

I looked at many places. Haley Mansion has it all. Best food, best table settings, all the way down to a lift for handicapped.

My brother just got married here and I was just in awe with this place. It is beautiful! Vintage style and so elegant. The staff is absolutely amazing. They really accommodate your needs with no questions asked. The dance floor is huge, the ceremony was outside and it was set up beautifully. It is really an elegant place. Loved everything! Highly recommend!

After becoming engaged we searched and searched for the perfect venue and then my now husband found the Haley Mansion. Since our very first visit to The Patrick Haley Mansion we were greeted with nothing but professionalism and wonderful costumer service. Kim Luciano was someone that I need to mention here and give praise to. There are no words to explain how grateful we are to her for tireless work helping us through this process. She was a true angel for us and we could not have done this without her. The Haley Mansion is so very lucky to have her. As time went on, the Haley Mansion and Kim helped us through every single obstacle that came our way with such attention to detail that every one of our worries faded away. Time drew closer to our wedding day and we met another wonderful person who we could not have done the actual wedding day without. Giovanni was our point person the man who kept us all worry free (as much as possible) and who made the wedding reception flow seamlessly! These two must be recognized! In addition, we have gotten nothing but the best comments regarding our wedding. The food was impeccable and came out hot and ready to enjoy! The bar service and servers were so amazing that as the bride I never had to make my way up to the bar because there was always someone ready with a fresh drink for me! Our vendors were greeted by the mansion and were treated as guests just as much as we were. Overall our experience was phenomenal I could not have asked for a more perfect day! I just had my wedding here... I was a little put off on the turnover of the staff. In the year+ of working with them I dont believe a single person from the beginning of my journey still works there... NO MATTER though. They were incredible. Seemless transition between ceremony/cocktails/dinner. Perfect meal presentation.... speaking of the food it was DROOL worthy and incredible! I have NO complaints about our experience with the Haley Mansion. I love my wedding, BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!

We are wedding here on 11/2/2018 and everything was perfect! The venue is absolutely beautiful and our guests loved it. The food was very fresh, hot, and delicious. The venue did such an amazing job setting up and coordinating our day. The wait staff was so amazing and attentive. I would definitely recommend this venue.

My husband and I got married here last night and, as you can tell by how quickly I'm writing this review, I was absolutely over the moon about the Haley Mansion. I wish I could hug every employee that was there last night to thank them for how much they helped make our wedding spectacular. The reception went off without a hitch. My guests (~230) raved about the decor, the elegance of the mansion, how delicious the food was & the overall service.

I worked with Sandy, who was an absolute godsend during the last month before our wedding. She was so quick to respond to questions and the mansion was unbelievably accommodating for us. We dropped off our wedding essentials on Thursday, went through the checklist of what everything was & how it should be used, and everything was set up PERFECTLY for the wedding. I mean down to a T, the details were perfect. I can't thank the staff enough for helping our vision come to life for the reception.

Blown away by how amazing this venue and the service was. I’ve received multiple compliments from our guest about how the food was the best wedding food they have ever had. Everyone could not stop talking about how great the service was. Before they finished their drink there was another brought to them. We had someone constantly bringing us our food and drinks as well. They went above and beyond to make it the best night of my life. They set all my decorations up better then I could of imagined. Highly suggest the Haley Mansion!!

The Haley Mansion staff was great to work with for our wedding last month! They were easy to communicate with even with the multiple people replying to emails. They were organized throughout the process and the service and food the day of the wedding was great. The venue itself is STUNNING and we are so happy we chose this place to celebrate our marriage!

The staff is superb and we had the most delicious food that we have ever had at any wedding! We have had SO MANY compliments about the venue, staff, food, cake and experience.

Omg I can not even begin to describe the amazing experience I had at The Patrick Haley Mansion on my wedding day!!! The staff did an amazing job making sure my day was as perfect as could be. The attention to the smallest details were outstanding. They made sure my guests were well taken care of with anything they needed. Take photos outside! It was absolutely beautiful inside and out especially the rooms upstairs they were good for photos too. The staff was awesome food was great and I love that it was so well lit and bright until sunset.

Our experience with the Patrick C. Mansion was wonderful. The service was exceptional by the wait staff. The food was delicious. Tracy's recommendations for vendors were superb. We would highly recommend this venue.

This place is tops 5 stars all the way . From our first walk through all the way to our wedding they where there for us. You get the whole venue to use it your day.The service is the best and food is top quality and it was served hot to all the guest .We had our wedding ceremony and reception here .This Place is very beautiful even for a winter wedding in January .

My husband and I wanted a different wedding than most of the ones we have been to. Not at a regular reception hall, something private where we are the only wedding there. The mansion is the PERFECT place!! The decor is amazing and just overall feel in the mansion is incredible. You can add all of your own personal touches throughout the whole first and second floor (which your guests are allowed all night) to really make it your own. There is also a third floor bridal suite which is so cool (bride and groom side and bathroom). I did not have to hire a wedding planner because they do everything for you there as far as set up, take down, and keeping everything going and on track the day of. I felt so at ease the day of knowing everything was being taken care of. All the ladies that work there are SO nice and helpful. Anytime i had a question throughout the planning process, i would email them and someone would get back to me right away. We decided to get married there(and got blessed with a beautiful summer day) so we did outside in the backyard which is breathtaking. Its nice too that they recommend vendors they work with alot (we used Standard Shuttle and Your Night Productions DJ and were thrilled). Also, they have a kitchen in house so you dont have to cater food in which is a pain. ALL of our guests still talk about how amazing it was and how great and professional the servers were. Everyone got there food at the same time, and the food was AMAZING, the cake too!! We got some of the most incredible wedding pictures here. We HIGHLY recommend the mansion to anyone okay with spending a little extra $ for what will be the best day of your life!

We can't begin to explain how happy we are with the service and the accommodations that we received from Patrick Haley mansion!! Tracy was very helpful to us and was such a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process! We keep hearing from our guests that our wedding was "the best they have every been to" and we have the mansion to thank for that. Everything from the fluidity of the evening to the food was exquisite!!

I couldn't be happier that we picked The Patrick C. Haley Mansion for our wedding! The grounds were beautiful, in bloom, and well kept up. The food was amazing and any of our guests who had allergies and needed special prep on their food, received it. Everything and everyone was very efficient and professional. There was a server named Cory who was always ready to grab anything my husband and I needed. We loved him! Sarita was fantastic at keeping everything organized. I highly recommend The Patrick C. My husband and I both knew the Patrick Haley Mansion was "the one" right when we saw it. We are so happy we got married there and loved everything about it! Jan at PHM was soooo wonderful to work with and on top of everything and so organized! We had our ceremony outside at the PHM and it couldn't have been more breath-taking. For our reception, everything went so perfect! The food was delicious and hot! The servers and staff were outstanding and so attentive. The mansion is just drop dead gorgeous and we got so many compliments from our guests. I cannot say enough good things about the PHM. They really made my wedding a fairy tale come true!

Everything was PERFECT! Everyone loved the mansion, the staff and the food! Jan is the most detailed, organized person I've ever met....Do not worry, they make everything soooo very easy for you that you'll sleep easy the night before your wedding!

We looked at Venues all over Chicago and when we walked into the Mansions Grand Ballroom... It took my breath away...the Mansion it's self was Royal and beautiful . The Staff was outstanding and extremely attentive . The food was very good ( for my husband and my self this was important because we have been in the restaurant business for 30 years) we were assigned 2 helpers for the entire day and they were amazing.. Every need we had was immediately taken care of because of the ear pieces an mic's they wore that connected them to every area of the mansion....my daughter and our guests said they had never seen a more beautiful venue...the Mansions and its staff 's attention to detail was un paralleled... It was a Fairytale that came true!!

My wedding day was perfect and it was all because of Lori and the staff at the Patrick C. Haley mansion. The ceremony was beautiful and the food superb! The evening was just magical. I could not think of a better place to have had my wedding.

You can tell that they really take care of the grounds and the interior to make sure your pictures turn out perfect and the place has that WOW factor! We had our wedding here in November and it could not have been more amazing. I fell in love with the Patrick C. Haley Mansion the moment that I stepped foot in it for our first meeting. It had a historic elegance that is just impossible to find anywhere else in Chicago. As I walked through the mansion my jaw dropped more and more with every room that I stepped foot in. It is a breath taking place and it creates the most elegant and perfect backdrop for any wedding. What sold the deal was the fairness in their rates and of course, the amazing staff. Jan was a delight to work with and could not have been more flexible and understanding with every crazy idea that my family and I threw at her. You could really tell she cared about making our wedding special and making sure that we get to enjoy our day. I have no regrets about choosing this location in fact, I believe that this location is what made my wedding so magical. If you are looking for a stunning location with an outstanding staff then the Patrick C. Haley Mansion is the best possible option.

The mansion was a beautful place! I fell in love with it as soon as it seen it. Very different from traditional venues and reception halls. We had the entire place to ourselves and the service was excellent! I couldnt be more happier! As all weddings it is a little pricier than other venues but it was totally worth the money. I felt like a princess.

I can't fit into words how pleased I was with my wedding at the Patrick Haley Mansion. The staff is INCREDIBLE. I had heard this several times over the past year and half after we booked our June wedding here, however, you don't understand just how incredible they are until you experience the service they provide you with on your wedding day. I felt like I was in a fairytale during my ceremony/reception. Everyone at the mansion took care of my every need and they were EXTREMELY attentive to me throughout the day/evening. Best place to have a wedding. It is beautiful, the food is spectacular, the staff are incredible friendly and oh so helpful, and the service was outstanding. The mansion itself is beautiful, a true show stopper. We recieved many compliments on how wonderful everything was. Many of our guests were in awe of the wedding we threw. Highly recommend.

It was absolutely a dream getting married at the Patrick Haley Mansion. The mansion looks beautiful during the day, but I was suprised to see how much more beautitful it looked at night. All of our guests raved about it.

The staff was amazing. Polite and always willing to help. I made a couple requests during the night, and they were taken care of quickly and with a smile.

While planning, the Patrick Haley Mansion was very responsive and supportive to everything we needed. My mother frequently visited with Jan (WHO IS AWESOME) for hours on end and Jan was always patient and helpful. It was truly a fun experience planning this wedding here, and there are not many brides who can say that.

I recently had my wedding at this location, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you're thinking of getting married in the Chicago area and don't want to get hitched in a run-of-the-mill banquet hall, and can't afford steep downtown Chicago prices, this may be the place for you!

It isn't cheap, but it is FAR from expensive for the level of service provided. If you priced out the location, linens, catering, liquor service, cake, etc. individually, I'm certain that the final price tag would come out much, much higher.

We chose the location because not only is the mansion lovely, but they take care of so many details--all we had to provide was a DJ, a florist, and a photographer! If you're planning a large wedding, not having to worry about catering, chair rental, linens, etc. is a HUGE deal--trust me!

Additionally, the space is large enough so that the ceremony can also be held onsite, which is a great thing if you've got a lot of out-of-town guests and don't want to have to worry about people getting from a ceremony location to a reception hall in an unfamiliar city.

We had special requests about a certain wine being served--no problem. We had special needs for the decor--no problem. We had several guests with strict food allergy concerns--no problem. The bridal party had its own dedicated waitstaff (lovely!) and every server seemed honestly delighted to make this day special for us. Jan, our main contact, was a delight to work with and answered all our questions and concerns wonderfully.

My florist (Belles and Thistles--see their website at http://bellesandthistl... and a review on this site, they also did a great job) stated repeatedly that she was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff, and remarked that she felt they were very organized and really had things down to an art. Coming from a woman with over twenty years' experience in floral design, this is no faint praise.

Every guest remarked on what a great time they had, and our deposit was returned promptly less than two weeks after the ceremony. If I had to do it again, I'd absolutely chose them a second time.

This place was absolutely fantastic...the atmosphere is breathtaking, the staff is extremely professional and the experience is like no other. The day was executed with military efficiency, but with the kindness and thoughtfulness of a mother. They made our day worry-free by setting up everything – centerpieces, placecards, menus, favors, etc. as part of the deal, which was huge because I'm a type-A personality and I didn't have to worry about an additional coordinator or the frustration of trying to explain it to family members.

Everything ran smoothly, it was honestly better then we could have imagined. Our guests are still raving about the wedding and all of the details. You won't be disapointed!

The Patrick C Haley Mansion was great. We were very pleased with every aspect of the mansion. The staff at the mansion was Top Notch; they were very accommodating and attentive. If we had it to do over, we would have our wedding there again. All of our friends and family raved about the food and the beautiful ambiance.

We only had our reception here - but it is absolutley the best venue around! The staff met with us multiple times prior to the wedding, and always had answers for us when we called. In all reality, it is a very pricey reception location - out of many couple's price range - but worth every penny spent. Our guests still talk about it (3 months later) - the beauty of the building, the professional waitstaff, and the amazing food! Every plate was cooked to perfection. I work as an event coordinator at a mid-sized university, but the individuals at Patrick Haley take the cake. Every little detail is covered with a smile and professionalism. I would recommend every have their wedding here (or try to atleast attend one here!).

We just had our wedding reception at the Patrick Haley Mansion this past June. It was absolutely amazing in every way! The planning team at the mansion was unbelievable. So willing to work with us to make sure that our day was exactly what we had imagined. The food was delicious, our guests could not stop talking about it. Our night was a dream come true and we would choose this venue all over again!

This place is absolutely GORGEOUS inside & out. It’s a hidden gem in Joliet. I would have never found it if I didn’t search The Knot and then click on it because it said Mansion. There is so much to say about this place. The food is amazing; every single bite of food there is great. The venue is big and beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Kari was our go to person and she made everything run so smoothly the day of and leading up to the big day, she answered every e-mail I sent in a timely fashion. This place is very expensive though! But, if you want to have the most magical night of your life, great picture opportunities, & if you want your guests ranting and raving about your wedding reception days after…you must have your event at The Patrick Haley Mansion!

I'm not going to lie, this place is expensive! However, everyone is extremely professional and helpful. If you are looking for a classy, intimate venue that reflects your personality do not skip at least seeing the PHM. I did not hear a single complaint from any of my guests about the food or the service. Im fact, my guests were very impressed with several of the wait staff. And special attention was paid to the bridal party!

I had my reception at PHM and I was so glad that I did. People are still talking about how beautiful my reception was 3 weeks after my event. The food was hot when it was served and very tasty (I had the chicken saltembucco and tri-colored pasta) and the service throughout the entire experience was impeccable. While we had a few small hiccups (them emailing me asking if I choose my venue when I had booked with them a month before) everything was as I had dreamed it would be.

They do label and organize all the items you bring and put it out for you the day of the wedding. I did my own fresh flowers and they even offered to prune any leaves that might have needed pruning.This service allowed me to have a personalized wedding with all my DIY's I wanted without all the stress of how I was going to put it all up!

I would def. order your cake through the company they go with. It was great and they took my picture of a cake I liked on pinterest and made it nearly identical to the picture.

If you are looking to have your ceremony and reception at one venue...Haley Mansion is it. The staff is professional, prompt, and personable. You will have your tasting and planning sessions in a timely manner. I was able to have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception in their beautiful ballroom. My guests loved that they were free to roam around the entire mansion while socializing and having cocktails. We brought our own pictures to be placed throughout the mansion which truly personalized our event. I made an excellent choice in the Patrick Haley Mansion...stylish and classy!

We held our ceremony and reception at the Patrick Haley Mansion. I thought the mansion was unique compared to a standard reception hall. The mansion was beautiful and we had full access to the many rooms. The ground also offer lots of options for pictures. The food was fantastic and all of our guests complimented it. Overall I loved it and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. My complaint is that our cake was wrong. We ordered white chocolate raspberry and we got lemon. The wrong cake didn't bother us, but when staff at the mansion did not believe us when we called about it after the wedding, that bothered us. It was however resolved when the mansion offered to give us an anniversary cake.

For us, this venue is a hidden gem. We had visited other more expensive venues that did not provide anywhere near the decor, service, food etc for the price. I highly recommend checking out the Haley Mansion.

We loved having the Haley Mansion for our wedding on 5-21-22! The staff was incredible on the day-of and made everything flow smoothly. Everyone was attentive and professional throughout. The food was great and we got several compliments throughout the evening on the serving size and quality of food. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and we were even able to utilize the outdoor patio area for cocktail hour with an additional bar located outside. My husband and I were extremely please with The Patrick C. Haley Mansion for our venue location. Guests are still talking about the wedding and how beautiful the reception was. The classic victorian style of the mansion blew away our guests and they were very happy that they were able to explore the mansion before and during the reception. Guests stated the venue looked like something from The Great Gatsby. The food is excellent and the cooks will accommodate to any dietary needs. Some guests were gluten free or vegan and the cooks were very happy to make sure every guests had a delicious meal to enjoy. The Mansion has plated meals which are out of the kitchen fast and still hot. Staff members were assigned to tables to make sure guests were able to have direct service.

The only problem that we had was with Sandy, one of the event coordinators at The Mansion. She was rude and unprofessional. For example, my husband and I decided not to have a wedding cake, Sandy rolled her eyes, sighed and stated "Well I guess its your wedding." If she did not like our answers to her questions, she showed it in facial expressions. The tone in her voice also indicated that she didn't like our ideas. Then a week later as my husband and I were dropping off some decorations the day before the wedding. She laughed, looked around and stated "Oh, how's your mother doing? Why isn't she here to help?" To my husband and I, Sandy was trying to point out that my mother was supposed to be helping me. Well too bad people have to work. This to me was rude because she never met my mother and there is absolutely not reason she needed to say that.
BUT thankfully she was not there on my wedding day and Giovanni another event coordinator took her place and he was amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better event coordinator for our special day.

The Haley Mansion was AMAZING to say the least. From the absolutely GORGEOUS venue and grounds, to the WONDERFULLY helpful and polite staff! The staff was very helpful during the year and a half planning process, and were very responsive with all of our questions and concerns via phone or email!

The only reason I gave the "professional" tab 4/5 stars is because towards the end of our planning process, we were thrown for a bit of loop when one of the staff informed us that during the wedding day, they would only set up some of our decorations and that we would have to do the rest ourselves before the wedding; but we were only allowed at the venue 2 hours before the ceremony. It was a little upsetting because in the beginning when we booked, a different young woman told us they would help set up with everything. BUT all was good the night of the rehearsal where the AMAZING event manager Giovanni reassured us that they would in fact help with everything, and they did an incredible job!

Everyone the night of our wedding were so helpful and nice, and I was told by all of the guests that the staff were great and everyone had a wonderful time! Giovanni and Eloy were awesome at making sure everything went smoothly for us, and guided my dad and I before the walk down the aisle. Joe and Dan were our amazing bartenders, and the staff made sure all my guests had drinks!
It's about a week since our wedding, and my guests are still telling me about how much fun they had, how beautiful the mansion was, and how great the food was!

I would recommend this venue to everyone I ever meet that is getting married! It was truly the best experience!

This is one of the most stunning wedding venues I’ve ever seen. Having been there about 10 times now, I’m still in awe every time I’m there. The grounds are just immaculate – so lush and made a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and pictures. The vintage details inside made for such a romantic atmosphere. And the staff is incredible – we worked closest with Jan and Stephanie and they were always so welcoming, patient, and accommodating to us during the entire process. Emails were responded to within 24 hours and all information was told to us upfront. They literally take care of everything - set up, packing up, etc. They had special servers for the bridal party and someone was always there if we needed anything. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. They have a large variety of hor d’oeuvres as well. They put so much detail into everything – white glove butlers, edible orchids to adorn salads, beautiful water dispensers for outdoor ceremonies, ivory damask embossed table linens, gold plated dishes, etc. The night of the wedding, the Best Man worked with the bar staff and they went and found 100 small beer tasting glasses and poured Blue Moon beer so everyone could go on the front lawn and do a toast to the blue moon that night! They made our day so incredibly special for us. This place is expensive, but we thought it was worth every dollar we spent there. My only negative was that they have a 250 ADULT guest minimum for Saturday nights in the summer. We had to have our wedding on a Friday because we only invited 210 guests, including children, (which I think is a large wedding) and didn’t want to pay for an extra 40+ plates. I thought 250 was a high threshold, but no one seemed to have trouble getting down to Joliet for a Friday night wedding so it was fine for us. I wwould have preferred a Saturday though. All in all, the Patrick Haley Mansion hosted a dream wedding for us and we’re being showered with compliments on the venue and food. Thank you!

Everything about the mansion was awe-inspiring. I had been looking at venues for a couple of weeks, but right after my fiance and I saw the mansion, we cancelled all of our other appointments...it was beautiful and unique and had the perfect garden for the outdoor wedding we preferred. From planning to the day of our wedding, the service of the managers and staff was outstanding. They ask about and pay attention to every detail of your day, and make you feel like royalty. I would say that overall, it was a bit pricey, but I felt like the managers gave helpful on ways to save money based on your preferences. We loved the old historical feel of the mansion, but also how we were welcomed to bring in photos and other decor to help make it more personal (as if it were our home). Our guests had nothing but compliments about the food, bar, and overall friendliness of all the staff on the wedding day/night. We absolutely loved the venue.

From beginning to end, everything for our October wedding at the Haley Mansion was absolutely amazing. We reserved our spot back in July 2011, and even then we had to change our dates around a couple times! This place books up fast, and I can now see why!
For starters, the venue itself is breathtaking. From the antique furniture to the original woodwork to the majestic ballroom, stepping into this place is like stepping back in time. Every single one of my guests commented on how stunning the venue was. Even though it rained on our big day (and even had some tornado reports!), moving the ceremony inside was no biggie. The setting was still perfect.
The staff couldn't have been more wonderful. Everyone from manager Jan, to Lori, and Sarita (who calmed my nerves right before walking down the aisle!), all of the Mansion staff were professional, accommodating, and extremely pleasant to work with. We even had a snafu about an hour before start time, where we desperately needed a black table cloth for a special ceremony we were doing before our reception, and off went Jan to the nearest WalMart! Talk about service. The food was delicious, even my Baltimore-native uncle said that the crab cakes were excellent. While I wish that the bar was closer to the dance floor, there wasn't one thing I wouldn't change. The PHM is beyond the best venue in Chicagoland. If you're looking for a place that will be sure to WOW your guests without paying ridiculous Chicago prices, the PHM is your place!!!!

I didn't have to worry about a single detail on the day of, they had everything down to a science - amazing! I can't say enough about their level of efficiency and professionalism. We knew it was "the one" the second we walked in the door and I have received nothing but complements on our choice of venue. Our guest's cups were never empty and the dinner portions were giant! Such a fantastically unique wedding venue, I would sing their praises to anyone willing to listen!

The mansion is so unbelievably gorgeous, words can’t even describe and pictures just cannot capture it. Just go see it – I still catch my breath every time I walk into the ballroom. You don’t need to do much decorating at all because the mansion is so spectacular, it speaks for itself. The ballroom is so open, airy, and romantic because of the incredible windows on 3 sides and the tall tent-like ceiling is draped in sheer white fabric. The rest of the mansion is so gorgeous with beautiful woods, floors, light fixtures, wallpapers, stained glass, fireplaces, etc and everyone thoroughly enjoyed exploring all the parlors on the 3 different floors. The only downside is that your guests can wander around and are not contained to the ballroom, so they may miss some events if you’re doing a bouquet toss or special dance later in the evening (or in our case, have groomsmen hiding in a parlor to listen to the end of an NCAA tournament game…grrrrrr). Before you visit, make sure you can afford it. Once we took the tour, we knew that we simply could not get married anywhere else. We went from planning a Saturday wedding in September to a Friday in March just so we could afford to have our fairy tale wedding here. It was well worth it!

Melanie and her staff are truly incredible! 5 star impeccable service with a smile. They made our day flawless and worry-free. They set up everything – centerpieces, placecards, guestbook, favors, etc. at no extra charge, which was a big deal for me since I DIY’d almost everything and thought I’d have to hire a DOC just to set it up. All of the staff members have earpieces and walkie-talkies, so they are constantly in contact with each other and the kitchen to ensure that everything runs smoothly and the food is served warm and on time. We did not want to see each other before the ceremony, so they made sure that we weren’t on the same floor at the same time and that there was no chance of us getting a glimpse of each other. All of our guests were so impressed with the service and the food (the chicken breast was enormous!). It’s clear that they have been doing this for a very long time and have everything down to a T. My Dad used to work in events and was thoroughly impressed with their skill and professionalism. If anything went wrong that day, I have no idea because Melanie and her staff took care of it without having to bother me with a thing. I truly can’t sing their praises enough!!!

The mansion was really great to work with and everyone was always very friendly and polite. We found it to be an amazing place that was great value for our money.

The food was amazing and the staff was always helpful and polite. On the day of our coordinator (Patrick) was beyond helpful and accommodating. We had a family member who had some unexpected special needs and he did everything he could to make sure she still had a good time and was comfortable. I am so grateful to him for his help that day. I honestly cannot say enough to praise his service and professionalism. If they lose him as an employee then they will have lost one of their greatest assets.

All the wait staff was extremely polite and helpful. We even had someone offer us some hors d'oeuvres while we were taking photos after the wedding. Plus they dealt with some food allergies (peanut and fish) really well allowing us to just enjoy the food and the day. The food came out warm and tasted amazing. We also had the sweets table which was a huge hit. Our guests absolutely loved it, plus everything tasted amazing.

There were only a couple things I think they could improve on, first, that they keep a regular contact through email instead of someone different responding to every email, and second, that they don't allow tours right up until the bride is about to walk out. Other than those two things they were amazing to work with.

We had our wedding here in December. After looking at all of the different venues, this was the one that made both the bride and myself look at each other and say "this is the one." During our year between putting down our deposit and the wedding day, we only had good experiences with the mansion. All of our guest were very impressed with the food, service, and the overall appearance of the venue (all thinking it was at least 5 thousand dollars more than it actually was!)

For someone looking for a wedding in the Chicagoland area, the price of the mansion is worth it. For all of the places we looked at, it was the best value, for all that you get (which is an entire mansion!)

The only cons that I would list would be some of the financial transactions towards the end. There was a miscalculation of the number, which went up slightly on us, and we were unable to get reimbursed for the second cashiers check that we had to get.

Absolutely phenomenal! Patrick C. Haley did a great job with everything. We would defininetly recommend it! It is quite pricey, but we saw about 10 other venues, and this was actually a value. It was not a easy process to plan though because there were about 5 different staff personnel that were handling our account. Also, they tax gratuity, which makes it quite expensive. You do have to pay extra for another entree, which is quite expensive as well. They also had a fairly ridiculous minimum for their peak season on a Saturday evening. However, after all the expenses, the day was absolutely priceless and the quality and service cannot be beat! Great food, great environment and everyone thought it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended!

We had a really wonderful experience planning and hosting our wedding at Patrick Haley. We ran into problems when our designated staff member resigned 3 weeks before our wedding, but the managers smoothed everything out for us and made sure we were very comfortable with the transfer process. Everything was lovely.

The Patrick Haley Mansion was an absolutely gorgeous venue for our July wedding. While it was more expensive, it was more unique than other venues we visited, which is exactly what we were looking for. The planning process was very easy; we had multiple details meetings and were given a checklist of things that needed to be done for each meeting. While price was non-negotiable (even with a 300 guest count), the chef was very accommodating with food allergies and dietary restrictions. The weather was perfect, so we were able to have our ceremony outside in the garden under the pergola, which made for beautiful pictures. While we were only able to get into the mansion 2 hours prior to our ceremony start time (we would have liked to be there earlier to take advantage of more photo opportunities), we did have opportunity to add personalized touches: we brought framed photos which were placed around the mansion, our photo guestbook and markers were placed on a table with initials we brought, our table centerpieces were placed on the tables for us, and we were able to have an ice cream bar instead of cake. Christina and Sidney were absolutely wonderful, making sure everything was running smoothly, and communicating with us and our guests when there was a timing issue (not the fault of the mansion). We were able to drop off our materials during our dress-rehearsal, and pick them up the morning after our wedding. The Patrick Haley Mansion is truly a uniquely beautiful place to have a wedding.

Absolutely amazing!! Would definitely recommend this place for a wedding reception to everyone. The mansion itself is stunning, the food amazing, the service perfect! We received so many complements about how perfect our wedding was and how amazing the mansion was. The staff is great to work with and very accommodating - they stayed on top of everything. Although, it is somewhat more expensive then other places in the area, you definitely get what you pay for!!! They made our day perfect!

The Patrick Haley Mansion is BEAUTIFUL!! My ceremony turned out great in the courtyard! For my wedding the servers were spot on throughout the night. The food was great and hot!! My only complaint would be that it is pricey and they are fairly inflexible with requests without charging extra.

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the PHM on 8.3.12. It was absolutely beautiful and all of our guests are still raving at how unique and gorgeous a location it was! The staff members we worked with were very friendly, flexible, and helpful, and Jan (the manager) was always available to help us during the last few weeks of our planning process. Emails were always promptly answered and Jan called us whenever we had any questions or concerns. The day of the wedding, the staff was attentive and flexible with anything thrown their way. The only complaints that we had were during the planning process when we would meet with what seemed like a different person each time we went there, and there was seemingly no connection from one meeting to the next. That is, each new consultant would have to be re-filled in on any information about our day. It would have been a much smoother process if we had one coordinator the entire time. I also heard about 2 vegetarian guests getting the wrong meal, but I am not sure if this was my own clerical error or if it was the error of the mansion staff. All in all, if you can afford the high cost, the PHM is absolutely unlike any other venue and far exceeds the service and beauty of any typical reception hall.

The Patrick Haley Mansion is absolutely beautiful. Everyone was so impressed, I was told and continue to be told that ours was the best wedding my guests had ever been to. The food was great, our cake (provided by the PHM) was delicious, and the wait staff was incredible! I have wonderful memories that will last forever after having our wedding reception here.

It took us all of a day to book this place. It has a very classic Victorian feel, but not stodgy and dark; very light, airy, and fun. Our wedding was in February, the offseason, and therefore we got not only the previous year's pricing, but at a significant discount. It was the largest chunk of our budget, but they take care of the catering, cake, the wedding and reception, all at the same place.

Their beautiful ballroom and reception area was just remodeled when we had our wedding there February 2007, and it is gorgeous. Their china they provide is elegant and fitting to any theme. The food was spectacular and I highly recommend getting the Cheesecake wedding cake...divine!

The staff was very helpful and made sure we didn't notice them. They took care of everyone's concerns so the bride didn't have to. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

My fiancé and I took a look at this venue and just fell in love with mansion. The information provided to us was helpful and allowed us to have a vision of how our wedding would be. We know two people who had their weddings here and it was recommended to us. We both enjoyed the ballroom and the atmosphere the most with this venue.

First of all if you are looking for a wow factor-- this place has it, everyone was totally impressed by the ambiance, it has so much character, and it exudes taste & class. Everyone kept commenting on what a cool place and how beautiful it was. Also the food is fantastic! Didn't get the cake from here so I can't comment on that. Service wise the day of I was really taken care of, you don't really need to do a thing. They even have headsets! At the reception my husband & I were assigned our own waitress, everytime I turned around she had another drink (she memorized it) for us. However, dealing with the mansion in the planning stages was a little bit difficult at times, being told one thing from one staff member and later on finding out from another that wasn't true, this got frustrating when you're paying so much money, you just want it right the first time. And then on the day of they set up the ceremony differently than we discussed, and when my sister told them this wasn't the way I wanted it, she got an "Oh well, it's too late now" Not good! Their lack of flexibility was an issue for me, but I suppose in the end it didn't matter because the day was outstanding, and it is a gorgeous, gorgeous place with great food, service, & ambiance.

This was a gorgeous place. They did a great job accomidating my wishes. The catering was fabulous. The silver trays that were carried around with Hors' de overs were fabulous. The food was awesome. People still rave about my wedding till this day. My husband and I couldn't be happier.

What a beautiful venue! The food and service are excellent. It's expensive, but if you have the money to spend I'd spend it here!

Jan was such a pleasure to work with and was extremely flexible to our needs.

I was truly expecting a 5 star experience with all the great reviews they have. We fell inlove the first time we came for tour. The girls who helped us were SO nice. But unfortunately the coordinator, Sandy, we ended up having to work with was extremely difficult and rude. Not helpful at all. I expressed all the issues we were having and thankfully they were able to have us work with Adriana who was such a delight to work with!! But that wasn’t until the last few weeks before the wedding. If it wasn’t for her I think I would have lost all hope on top of how stressful it already is to plan a wedding! We also had an incident with a bartender they had for the night, this was a mixed Hispanic/ white reception and a bartender made a racist comment toward the mother of the bride even while the groom was standing there. I brought this up to management unfortunately there really isn’t anything anyone can do to fix the issue, they have failed to hire respectful employees. Eloy addressed the issue as best as he could and we were thankful. Overall the food was good, it was hot. The venue itself is beautiful. They promise a lot of things and don’t execute. However there wait staff is AMAZING. If it wasn’t for how hard they work I don’t think this business would last. They all truly make up for anything that went wrong.

This is a LOVELY venue however is is NOT in a good area of town. We had a good experience but i know there is a new manager there now so i'm not sure how things have changed. Another good reception venue is Joliet Union Station - owned by the same company as Haley but the manger has been there forever and I know because a friend had her wedding there that everything was wonderful.

Our May wedding at PHM was absolutely beautiful! We heard nothing but positive feedback from our guest about the look of the mansion, the deliciousness of the food, and the professionalism and attentiveness of the service staff. We couldn't agree more!

There are several reasons for the less-than-stellar review. They are used to doing things their way, and seemed reluctant to work with our wedding planner or accommodate unique requests. We had the unusual request to have bacon available for our chocolate fountain (don't knock it till you've tried it!). Initially we were told this wouldn't be a problem, only to find out on wedding day that they couldn't do it (something about health codes). Luckily, our 5-star planner found a compromise. Health codes are health codes, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.

By far the most frustrating thing was finding out that their 250 guest count minimum would not be translated into a dollar amount food/bev minimum (virtually unheard of in the wedding industry). So when our guest count unexpectedly fell far short of 250, they would not allow us to add extras to make up the difference. Instead, we were required to pay for 250 entrees and beverage packages. To their credit, they tried to soften the blow a bit by giving us the VIP bar at the premium price and having us only pay for our sweet table, late night snack and hors d'oeuvres for the actual 180 guests rather than 250. However, this in no way made up for this ridiculous requirement. Yes, the contract says there is a minimum of 250 entree/beverage packages required, but as we pointed out to them, our 180 guests with all the extras we ordered would make them more money than 250 guests with the bare minimum. Long story short: buyer beware.

Our wedding was in August. Everyone loooooved the food, the mansion, the grounds and the staff. All our guests thought the staff went above and beyond to meet their needs.
We had issues with miscommunications with the manager. Make sure you get every single thing you are told in writing!! Even if you are promised something and they make a note of it make sure you get it in writing too.
I wont go into details but the mansion was by far the most inflexible out of all our vendors. Our wedding planner was shocked at how inflexible they are. We had 155 guests but there is a 200 guest minimum to pay for. At other venues we were offered extra food and drink to make up for the 45 quest that we were paying for that weren't there, but the mansion does not do that. Thankfully some little extras that were thrown in for us we had received in writing before management changed hands or else promises we were made would not have been honored.
Also, few of our cards were stolen from the gift table. I informed the management about it but nothing was ever done.
This place is beautiful and the service the day of the wedding is outstanding but if you are on a tight budget make sure you know exactly what you are getting into and have someone watch the gift table!!

The mansion is amazing but the staff was not friendly at all. They forgot to display some of our decorations we had given them and they didn't apologize for it. They didn't give us our full deposit back because "one person changed their meal option". The person at the bar refused to give our band water to drink so my husband had to get it himself. They have multiple coordinators so everytime you call or email its always someone new and that caused a lot of miscommunication. The wedding was beautiful but I expected more from the venue for the money we spent.

They only see clients as transactions and don’t care about making your day perfect for your own
They will conduct business on the day of your wedding even if it interferes with your plans. The worst venue

After being diagnosed with cancer 4 months before our wedding the Haley Mansion refused to refund ANY of our money. We needed it for medical bills and after explaining our situation countless times they offered no help or sympathy. I am absolutely disgusted with this “business” and could never recommend anyone I know booking an event here.

We had our wedding cancelled due to Covid-19 unfortunately and this venue REFUSES to give back our deposit. A deposit for a now cancelled event due to an act of God. Wedding venues are supposed to be helpful and caring to their clients and this place is the exact opposite. I do not recommend this venue and am highly disappointed that they cannot be accommodating that we had to cancel our wedding for something out of our control.

DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE!!! They are refusing to refund couples money during this pandemic. If you have already sent them payment they will not give it back even if your wedding was canceled due to the government issued lockdowns! Terrible terrible people. Who holds young couples money hostage?!!! What are we paying for? At this point it is just flat out stealing.
