Michael Overbeek (and his assistant) were amazing at our wedding last August on Lake Michigan. He remained opened to what I wanted to create within the photographs while still using his experience and knowledge to create the best pictures possible. His ability to see what my husband and I wanted in our photos, our personalities, and the general vibe of our wedding made our photographs that much more personable. I asked him to get in the waters of a Lake Michigan on our wedding night towards the end of our reception for some "trash the dress" shots. I was afraid that he was going to give me an odd look when we discussed this during a pre-wedding meeting, but he was up for whatever I wanted to do. It was more than amazing and we got some incredible pictures that were taken just right - the moon and cliffs in the background were amazing! His collaboration didn't stop after our wedding. We continued to the communicate as Michael made my husband and I an incredibly unique wedding album. I would highly recommend Michael for not only wedding photography, but any event or occasion.

We planned our wedding top to bottom and one of our main concerns was our photography, it was so nice working with Michael at Overbeek Photography. He worked around our busy schedules and made the most of every session. We never felt like we weren't getting his full attention and the final product shows. He and his assistant worked perfectly together on our wedding day handling every aspect with class and a great attitude. We thoroughly enjoyed dealing with Michael, our pictures and album look amazing, and the price was nothing short of fair.

He is also very personable, which is very important since your photographer will work so closely with you on the big day. The pictures turned out very well and we got to see them very quickly. Michael did a fantastic job with everything. First he did our engagement photos which all turned out great. At the wedding he fit in well with the wedding party and family members and made everyone feel relaxed. Everything went very smoothly and the pictures are gorgeous. We purchased an album through Mike and have gotten tons of compliments. He kept in touch with me throughout the entire process of choosing pictures and other details of the album. When looking for a photographer for my wedding, I had no idea where to start. One of my friends went through Michael Overbeek, and told me he was great! After looking at his website, speaking with him on the phone, viewing his prices, and then viewing the pictures he did for her wedding, I was sold! Michael met with us before the wedding and told us exactly what to expect on the day of our wedding. On the day of the wedding, he and his assistant were on time, they were organized, and we did not have to worry about a thing! Michael and his assistant both had great ideas, and our pictures turned out awesome! Michael had all of our pictures ready for us by the time we got back from our honeymoon. Overbeek Photography was an unbelievable find! They willingly worked with us to accommodate a somewhat unconventional wedding day schedule. Michael took the time to make sure that all arrangements and equipment was in working order the day prior to the event. The work was superior! We have a beautiful collection of traditional portraits balanced with portraits with various lighting/lenses effects mixed with some fun actions shots. Incredible perfection was spilled into the development of our photos & of our final albums. Michael went above and beyond to include personal touches in the albums to bring out the best of the photos. The day of the wedding went fast, I am so grateful we had Overbeek Photography there to capture it for us!

The photos were amazing, Michael and Kim were able to capture every moment, even ones we didn't know happened until we got the pictures back. The video slide show that we were presented for each of our attendants at the end was amazing and we lok forward to picking out our albums and prints.

Michael is extremely creative and people still oooh and ahhh over our wedding pictures... they're not the typical standing at the church alter pictures.
