When having a wedding at Occidental College, what you get is not what you pay for. In fact, what you get is WAY MORE than what you can expect. Sure, it's not the Four Seasons but since we prioritized being able to invite as many guests as we wanted (~250 in our case) without having to contemplate selling our organs on the black market to finance the wedding, Oxy more than fit the bill. The campus grounds were a scenic backdrop to a beautiful chapel, a cocktail patio that we lit up to look like a twinkling paradise, and a dining room that evoked elegance and charm. Also, kudos to the top-notch coordinators (Stacy and Sheri), the chefs, and everyone else that were all so friendly to work with. They were accommodating in every and knew what they were doing at all times. Flexibility is also their middle name.
We took a gamble by not looking at any other venue before booking Oxy but we knew we wouldn't find anything else where the value/cost ratio would be this heavily in value's favor. This was a choice we don't regret one bit.
