"Wow!", "Best Wedding/party ever!", "We had such a great time!" - all things a bride and groom want to hear after their wedding & reception and all things that we did, over and over again from everyone who attended.

Much of that can be attributed to the DJ and Day of Event Coordination which Tony & Stephanie provided this past weekend at our wedding. While all the numerical ratings above were easily on the 5 end of the scale I would have given them a 10 on a scale of 1-5 if I could have for "Responsiveness" especially. If you have ever planned anything, let alone the most important day of some people's lives then you know how frustrating it could be if those responsible for making sure it goes smoothly would not get back to you when you had questions or concerns. Well Stephanie Muzzin should be the industry standard for customer service.

You WILL NOT contact her without hearing back from her almost immediately or know why she can not return your contact that quickly. It was the most impressive thing about both of them to know they were sincerely listening and responding to our concerns and desires. It was also evident immediately that Tony had heard or read every single thing we'd mentioned about our musical tastes and desires and was able to work those into the night's playlist.

We wanted our people on the dance floor and after the toasts and cake cutting there was rarely a minute when it was not full. They quickly discerned not only our tastes but those of our guests and figured out what would keep them moving.

Stephanie also acted as our Day of Event coordinator and brought a calm, yet reassuring focus to the day's timeline working seamlessly with our other vendors to ensure everything went off without so much as a hiccup.

You cannot go wrong by having Nor Cal work your event. They were personable and professional beyond our expectations.

NorCal Pro Sound is one of the best, if not the best, DJs in the DC metro area. NorCal is run by Tony and Stephanie, a wonderful married couple who also DJ the events. Tony is the primary DJ and does an incredible job reading the crowd. The guest list at our wedding was probably close to a DJ’s worst nightmare – about 50 people, split cleanly into a young and old crowd, with a significantly higher ratio of single guys to single girls. Even with the odds stacked against them, Tony and Stephanie met the challenge by finding the right songs to get the crowd dancing.
Tony and Stephanie are also consummate professionals. From our very first interaction, my husband and I were impressed by the number of helpful questions they asked to ascertain the exact mood and dynamic we wanted in our wedding. On the wedding day, Tony acted as a quasi-day-of wedding coordinator, ensuring that the guests moved between cocktail hour, the first dance, dinner, and partying seamlessly. He also worked smoothly with all of our other vendors and made sure everything ran on time and was perfectly executed.

My wife and I recently hired Tony (Nor Cal Pro Sound) for our wedding in November 2012. While we thought we were simply hiring a DJ, Tony ended up being so much more, including an MC, keeping the entire event moving throughout the night. We’ve been to weddings in the past that have seemed disorganized; Tony on the other hand took control and worked in perfect concert with the Coordinator and other Vendors to keep everything on track.

The entire experience with Nor Cal Pro Sound was straightforward. Upon hiring Tony, he gave us access to his online planning tool where we were able to share ideas regarding music, with the ability to specify specific songs for different parts of the evening. Tony takes that insight, and crafts specific playlists for each part of the event (Pre Ceremony, Ceremony, Dinner, Dancing, etc). A short phone conversation after we’d used the planning tool was all it took for Tony to understand our preferences. The best part about the whole experience is with a limited direction, Tony captured exactly what we were looking for. Several guests came up to us during dinner and commented on the music, complimenting the selections.

When it came time to for dancing, Tony had the whole party up and moving. Once again, having been to weddings with subpar DJs, reading the vibe of the group is the key in keeping everyone dancing. Tony excels at this and by the end of the night, we had impromptu dance-offs between Uncles and Friends and the entire group (120+) belting out Eddie Money “Take Me Home Tonight” to end the night. Tony hit a homerun.

In our minds, you cannot go wrong with hiring Tony and Nor Cal Pro Sound to MC/DJ your event. He came highly recommended and will be missed in Northern California. Take our advice, look no further.

We met with Tony and Stephanie about 10 months ago and immediately had a feeling they would be perfect for our wedding. Throughout the whole process emails were returned within 24 hours (sometimes immediately after sending them) and communication was clear and efficient. The week before Tony made sure we had everything in order and during our wedding he was pretty much our wedding coordinator (which wasn't his job). A week before the wedding I decided I wanted an instrumental version of "Today Was A Fairy Tale" by Taylor Swift for when my bridesmaids walked down the aisle, but I couldn't find one. From the beginning, they were so supportive and friendly in helping us plan our music and getting to know us as a couple. The one thing that really stood out was when Tony made a special shout out to my brother who is in a wheelchair, to dance with some of my friends. It was so sweet and caring of him to pay attention to our guests and make it as perfect as he could...and it was. We did line dancing, kids were break dancing and even the elderly were up and shaking it! It played a variety of music to suit everyone's needs and his spinning skills are amazing! I don't know the technical terms, but he was scratching and mixing in such a cool way! It worked perfectly for our game activity we had during the wedding.

Tony worked well with all our vendors and even my cousin/MC! He was very professional yet had a cool composure that made us feel really comfortable to have him in charge of the party. We had a lot of things going on and he was right there ready to go! My husband and I are so grateful to have NorCal Pro Sound DJ our wedding and even more thankful to have met Tony and Stephanie. Tony was the DJ at our wedding two weeks ago and did a fantastic job! From the moment we met Tony and Stephanie we felt they were invested in making our wedding the event and party we wanted. Upon meeting them you will quickly get a sense for their love of music and pride in the events they put on. What we liked off the bat, and a true differentiator is that they both got to know my husband and me in our initial meeting. They really wanted to understand our personalities, style, theme, music preferences to ensure our wedding was personal and customized. Why they're soo awesome?: Stephanie and Tony are very easy and comfortable to work with while at the same time not lax in their professionalism, promptness and attention to detail. Tony was able to take my husband and my very different preferences (R&B Soul vs. Folk and Classic Rock) and created sets that really pleased the crowd and most importantly us. We heard throughout the night, be it cocktail hour, dinner or dancing that the music was "dope" and that he was "killing it"! Tony is able to set pace and keep the energy high even if things don't happen as planned. He's mindful of time and will make sure to find you and suggest options to make sure all scheduled events happen despite other things being off (dinner being served late, etc). He's tactful, a great MC and makes sure to highlight the marrying couple and wedding and not himself.

Tony did an amazing job DJing our wedding. He did multiple set-ups, handled the ceremony, dinner, dancing - all of it. Everything went off without a hitch. We gave him a few directions and from that he put together an awesome set. People were dancing the entire time, which is all we really wanted, and Tony delivered. Tony has a great presence and voice for some of those necessary mc moments (not cheesy style) and despite little variances that were thrown at him during the wedding he kept on rolling unphased and was a pleasure to work with. Tony and his excellent partner are the best any bride/groom could hope for to ensure a smoothly flowing, constantly dance-filled, cleverly MC'd wedding. My husband and I chose Nor Cal Pro Sound purely off of their stellar reviews on Yelp, before realizing that they were the #1 DJ on our venue's list of suggested DJ's. From start to end, and everywhere in between, we were not disappointed.

I knew that Tony was the kind of DJ I didn't need to give a massive "must play" song list, and that he would be able to gauge the crowd and vibe of the party and choose music accordingly to keep a steadily building dance party throughout our wedding. From cocktail hour until last dance, just about every guest made his/her way on to the dance floor, and that's saying a lot for our family ;) But if you wanted a wedding that was more docile or geared towards a particular kind of music, Tony would be willing and capable of doing that as well. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get married in the Sonoma/Napa area!

Tony was the perfect DJ - we couldn't fault him. He played every song we asked for - added other tunes that we loved - read the crowd perfectly, kept everyone dancing and was a very nice man as well! Definitely book him.

Tony was the DJ and MC at our wedding. He did a fantastic job! He is very helpful and knowledgeable about music and wedding planning, and he was also accommodating on our last minute requests. One of the things that most couples are afraid is that no one is dancing or having a good time at their weddings. We had the same fear, and Tony gave us good advices on game ideas in case the crowd gets bored. However, he did such a great job DJ-ing, that all of the guests were dancing throughout the whole night. We didn’t even have to squeeze in any games to wake people up. We saw our parents got up and dance to hip hop for the first time in our life, and it was just priceless!!! Tony has a very competitive price, and he was willing to work with our budget. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and family.
