The Perfect Experience

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Michael and his gorgeous shop! I had looked all around the city, at several different stores for my dress with no luck. Simply Amazing!!

From our very first meeting with Michael until our wonderful meeting with him weeks following our daughters wedding we have been amazed at him being a gift to us on many levels. Knowing that his expertise and patient demeanor were constantly available we were able to enjoy the process of our daughters wedding like we never dreamed possible. Michael's gracious and caring support as well as his timely communications allowed father and mother, daughter and son-in-law to thoroughly enjoy the months and weeks preceding the wedding. And to top it off the day of the wedding was simply amazing as Michael kept us on schedule and released us to enjoy the day. ALL details were beyond belief and our friendship with Michael continues beyond the wedding. Working with Michael and his team was by far the best decision we made in the preparation and actual day of event for our daughters wedding.

Expertise Beyond Comparison!

Eight years ago after shopping in NC and even a trip to Chicago and Michigan Ave which included a trunk show with a famous designer, my daughter could not find “the dress.” I researched places in KC and one of the places I wanted to take her to was Nolte’s. She has tried on some dresses when Michael Nolte came in and assessed the situation and said “I know just the right dress for you!” She tried it on and it was the perfect “bride” moment! Later when I was at the Nolte’s Briarcliff location feeling clueless, Michael just happened to be there and helped me find the perfect dress and accessories that both my daughter and I loved. Now eight years later I found myself as the bride and had let my busy job as administrator and teacher and the events and concerts I had to plan take precedent over my own wedding plans. I was panicking about my procrastination, and time was running out. I walked into Nolte’s late on a Friday very apologetic about my last-minute situation. I was treated very graciously by Emily who offered immediate help, but to my extreme good fortune, Michael Nolte was there and immediately assisted. As just as he had magically done eight years previously for my daughter, he assessed the situation and knew the perfect dress! It was exactly what I had pictured: age-appropriate, flattering and elegant! Just as I can listen to a singer or choir and know just the right repertoire for them, Michael has that unique instinct for instantly evaluating and selecting exactly what perfectly suits the individual. Very magical! And then he stood there and helped me pick exactly the venue, accessories, flowers, etc. — everything that I had delayed in making decisions on. I left the store with the weight of the world off my shoulders and the event turned out even more perfectly than I could have pictured. We even decided I could wear the shoes he had picked out eight years previously. The additional magic was that he arranged with the wonderful lady who had done alterations for my daughter to have this dress ready for me to wear in less than two weeks! Michale Nolte was such a rescue to me— his expertise in style in all things wedding- related are incomparable. I am forever grateful and would recommend Nolte’s to everyone!

Nothing short of exceptional

From the moment you walk in the door of Michael Nolte's BEAUTIFUL boutique, Michael makes you feel like a princess and treats your mom like a queen. I spent an hour talking to Michael, enjoying champagne, and connecting through mutual friends and family. It was such a great time that I wish we could have spent the whole day there! He was genuinely interested in our story and we even shared our engagement video and pictures. After talking Michael said, "I know THE dress for you." It was perfect. I tried on ONE dress and knew it was the one. It was incredible that Michael could talk to me and know exactly what I needed. He offered tips and tricks to wedding planning that we will definitely use in our wedding. His incredible talent and love for weddings is so special and every bride deserves the experience that Michael and his team can give. I will forever recommend this man and his impeccable taste and talent.

I left my dress appointment feeling like a queen! Mr. Nolte had hand selected dresses he thought I would like, match my vision for the day, and flatter my body type, based upon my comments made during our initial wedding planning meeting. Mike then customized my dress to fit my exact vision. He himself also has amazing skill and expertise in designing, so had great suggestions for altering my dress to make it truly one of a kind. He made the experience so simple and I walked out that day with my perfect dress!

I purchased my dress at Nolte’s Bridal. Michael helped me select my perfect wedding dress and my bridesmaids dress for my sister. We both have very different body types and style but Michael helped us choose dresses that flattered our body types & fit with my wedding vision. Alterations were easy with Candy. My sister was 8 months pregnant at the time of my wedding and Candy helped to make the dress we bought before she was pregnant work for her baby bump. Michael and his assistant Emma-Lea are experienced professionals that provide invaluable help in finding your dress.

Michael Nolte was the planner at my son's recent wedding. Even though he was hired by the parents of the bride he was invaluable to my wife and I assisting us in the planning and execution of the rehearsal dinner. What to do first? I suggest the dress & in the KC area I suggest you shop at Nolte’s Bridal. Michael helped both my daughters select their dress. They have very different body types & style-Michael helped them choose flattering silhouettes & made suggestions that created beautifully unique ensembles. The alterations by Candy are professional and Emma-Lea provides excellent advice on finishing touches.
There are thousands of dresses & many shops. Make your life easy-go to Nolte’s Bridal. Michael will help your daughter find the dress that looks lovely, compliments the venue & makes her feel beautiful. Having an experienced professional helping your daughter is invaluable-you will leave Nolte’s knowing your child will look amazing. A great start!!

I shopped for my dress all around KC and even went to Dallas and found my gown at Nolte’s immediately - it was the first one I tried one! The price was very reasonable - actually it looked about twice as expensive as it actually was! Michael helped so much and was happy to customize anything about the gown to make it perfect. I was thrilled with my experience and I can’t wait to wear it on my wedding day!!

My daughter found her dream dress at Nolte's Bridal. With a little custom tweaking her dress is a one of a kind. Michael Nolte himself, along with Emmalea, took care of us. The service was both personal and intimate. From the high end gown selection, and some at unbelievable discounts, to the atmosphere and service, Nolte's Bridal is a class act.

My daughter had been looking for her dream gown for a couple of months before we decided to visit Nolte's Bridal. She visited many bridal salons in Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. Although there were some very pretty gowns none of them compared to the "experience" we had and the gowns that we saw at Nolte's Bridal. I called down to Nolte's and spoke to Mr. Nolte himself. I explained what my daughter was looking for and from my description he selected three gowns that were in the dressing room when we arrived for our appointment. The gowns were exactly what my daughter was looking for. These gowns were gorgeous and a step above anything she had tried on at any other bridal salon (and there were many). We were assisted at our appointment by both Mr. Nolte and his daughter. My daughter ended up choosing the first gown she tried on at Nolte's. Mr. Nolte also does wedding planning and gave us tips on what my daughter might choose for her bouquet that would best compliment her dress. Mr. Nolte was generous enough to sign a copy of this newly published book on event planning for us. The whole experience at Nolte's was truly amazing. Every bride deserves to have the "Say Yes to the Dress" experience that my daughter had at Nolte's Bridal. We are thankful we decided to go to Nolte's Bridal and were able to find my daughter's dream gown along with an experience she will remember for a lifetime.

Nolte's is top notch in expertise and customer service. Shortly before my wedding, I had undergone a surgery that left me concerned about my body, but my spirits were lifted when I visited with the remarkable Michael Nolte at Nolte's Bridal. He was never concerned for a moment, and assured me that I would look amazing on my wedding day. When I went to his shop with my sister, he knew, "just the dress." Seriously - it was the first one I tried on! I used Candy, the seamstress they recommended, and she practically rebuilt the whole thing so it fit me like a glove. I have never felt more beautiful!

I recently visited Mr. Nolte's Bridal shop with my mom and my future mother in law this last month and boy was I amazed. As a fashion Major I am not easily impressed when it comes to shopping and you can imagine my expectations were even higher being that I was looking for my perfect dress. Like any girl I have been dreaming of my wedding sense I was young and although I did not have a set picture in my mind I knew I would know I was in my dress when I could feel it in my heart. Not only did we get to work with one of Mr. Nolte's daughters but we got to work with Mr. Nolte himself! All of the staff was so kind and very sincere. We were treated to wine in our own private suite It was like I would imagine being on the show Say Yes to the Dress would have been. Overall this experience was everything I could have ever wanted and I not only have my two moms to thank but also the entire Nolte's Bridal Staff. Ladies if you have not found your dress you must go to this shop you will not be disappointed!

While we are just beginning the process of working with Michael, I can't tell you how fantastic he was in both recommending and customizing an absolutely gorgeous wedding dress. We had some trepidations as we began the process as we had heard that most salons carry small sample sizes and it could be difficult to get an accurate picture of what a dress would actually look like in the end. Michael completely set us at ease, explaining that he carries sample sizes across the spectrum and that he already had some in mind after listening to our thoughts. He assured us that we would most likely find "the dress" within an hour......in fact, it was the second dress we tried on and we fell in love with it in about 30 minutes. His eye for detail and his ability to recommend customization to ensure that the gown was perfect, helped exceed our expectations for our experience! All that and he is personable, fun, and feels like your best friend at the same time! Hiring him to coordinate our wedding ensures that the next few months will be filled with joy and fun with little to no stress. You simply can't go wrong with Michael!!

Best experience! I found my dress within 10 minutes! I knew as soon as I saw it I was in love! After trying it on I was sold but Michael took it a step further put on a veil and jewelry I wanted to cry/scream it was amazingly beautiful!! To top it off he cut us an even better deal and I got everything I was wearing for less than my budget! I recently got in engaged and shopping for wedding dresses seemed very overwhelming. I had made appointments at multiple salons, with Nolte's Bridal being the first. Mike Nolte helped me during my appointment and took the time to sit down with me, my mom and my friend to get to know us on a personal level. After talking with me about my wedding and visions for my dress, he selected a few gowns for me to try on. Amazingly, the first dress he selected for me to try on was PERFECT. He had taken all my ideas and with his detailed eye for fashion, he chose a dress that was best for my style, budget, and body type. I imagine any bridal salon where you daughter finds her dream gown you would think is good. But Noltes is excellent! From the time you step through the front door you will realize the difference. The service was excellent. They were able to offer her a wide variety of gowns that fit her varied criteria in working through her decision making process. Then the gown came in the door! We purchased then and there and received a discount for purchasing on the first visit. The alteration process was easy and painless. The gown was perfect and ready to wear when we picked it up two days before the wedding.

I had such a lovely experience at Nolte's. I came to Nolte's with no inkling of what I wanted, as I was assured by others Mr. Nolte knows what he's doing and along with his staff, can help you find the dress of your dreams that is perfect for your body type and personality. I brought my future M-I-L, future step daughter and my mother. I was greeted immediately by the staff and as we were walking through some options, Mr. Nolte came out and also greeted me and my mothers. After talking with him for less than 5 minutes, he told me he had something in mind. I was whisked away to the beautiful back room to try on the exquisite gown (mind you, and others, but this one was fabulous) and sure enough, it was stunning. It was perfect for my body type and made me feel like a million bucks. I tried on others "just to be sure" and nothing else compared. I was offered vendor recommendations at the end and one of the consultants (Jennifer) was so kind to even text me vendor recommendations personally. I definitely got the VIP experience! Would recommend x1000 to my friends and future brides!

My daughter found the perfect dress for her figure, the venue and our budget. Michael Nolte was so sensitive to all the little nervous fears we had about finding THE dress. Michael Nolte is a genious with fit and caring about his brides. I came to his bridal salon last, and I finally learned what a real consultant is. He helped pick out dresses for my body shape and that were flattering and what alterations would be made to make THE dress perfect for my big day. His attention to detail is impeccable. If you want to be treated as though you are the only bride in the salon (which you will be) come here first!

I had an exceptional experience at Nolte’s. If a bride is looking for a sophisticated and elegant dress and shopping experience, she should go to Nolte’s. Barbie was extremely helpful, listened to my ideas and feedback, and made excellent selections. They have exquisite taste at Nolte’s which makes it easy for them to also match your veil to your dress. Additionally, Emma-Lea was extremely helpful and clear when it comes to all the paperwork. I have only the highest recommendations for Nolte’s.

Michael Nolte is a wedding genius! We arrived with a group of 7 and were immediately greeted by Nolte himself and delicious mimosas. Nolte was our bridal consultant for the day, so we were in good hands to say the least. After getting to know my sister and her overall wedding vision, he immediately knew what type of dress she needed to feel like a princess on her special day. She ended up choosing the 3rd dress he put on her. Nolte's expertise made it a painless process as there were 6 other opinionated judges in the room. The private wedding room chamber made for an intimate and memorable experience where we oohed and aahed at the stunning wedding dress that Nolte brilliantly paired with the perfect veil. A couple weeks later we returned to Nolte's for the bridesmaid dresses appointment. We were assisted by Nolte's daughter who had apparent knowledge in the wedding world. We miraculously went with the first dress I tried on. I would recommend Nolte's Bridal to anyone. It seems as though the slimmer inventory of dresses is what makes the dress shopping experience easier. With only the best of the best dresses to choose from, there's no doubt that the bride and bridesmaids will walk away with "the one."

The service and staff at Nolte's Bridal was exceptional. With Mr. Nolte's expertise, knowledge, and vision of weddings, I was able to find the most beautiful, unique wedding dress that I had always dreamed about with only having to try on four dresses. The experience was very special, as my family who came with me felt we were the only ones in the store with their private bridal dressing room. The quality and prices of their dresses, whether it's bridal, bridesmaid, or mother of the bride and groom do not compare to anywhere else in Kansas City. I would recommend this store and Mr. Nolte's talent for planning weddings to anyone. Wedding planning can be very stressful, but it can be reduced tremendously by choosing Nolte's!

Like every mother, you want your little girl to be the most beautiful bride on her wedding day. Michael Nolte knew exactly what would be the perfect dress for my daughter. My mom and I went to Nolte's to look for my wedding dress. Mr. Nolte talked with us to get the vision for the day and then selected a handful of dresses. (I was completely thrilled he was helping us during the appointment - I've admired him since I was a little girl!) Mr. Nolte insisted he choose the order I tried the dresses on, and I fell in love with the first one! The entire appointment was so much more than just shopping for a wedding dress - it was an unforgettable experience that I gushed about to friends and family for months after my appointment! I highly recommend visiting Nolte's for all things formal. The entire staff is friendly, interested in you and your day, and so helpful.

My sister, mom, and I went to Nolte's to find my wedding dress. When we first arrived at the store we were pleasantly surprised to learn Mr. Nolte himself would be working with us. He was so helpful and nice. He has a lot of experience and is a great visual thinker. The dress I ended up choosing was one he picked out for me and one I would have never tried on otherwise. He spent a lot of time with us and stayed within the price range we wanted. Overall great experience!!

We went shopping for a bridal gown for my daughter in February of this year. We had several appointments scheduled that day, and Nolte’s was our first stop. When we walked in, I thought we probably would not find anything there. It is so elegant; I thought it would be too expensive. And looking at all those dresses when we walked in seemed a bit overwhelming.

However, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and found dresses above and within our price range. Our daughter loved the first dress she tried on. It fit her perfectly without any alterations. The sales lady kept saying it was serendipitous. Since it was a discontinued dress, they sold it to her for her budgeted price; and the owner gave her a $300 sash to go with it (since it’s a two piece and looks better with a sash). We were amazed at their generosity, and very thankful!

Also we were a large shopping party since we planned to shop for bridesmaids’ dresses that day too – 8 of us with a baby in tow. They were so kind and accommodating and were quick to set up seating in a larger area so we could watch the bride try on dresses. There was also a wedding video running that kept the baby entertained.

We highly recommend this bridal shop. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Nolte's is a one-stop-shop! Not only did they order my wedding gown for me, but Mr. Nolte met personally with my fiancé and I to design our wedding invitations and provided suggestions we never would have thought of. Everyone at this store has always communicated very well, is very responsive, professional, and respectful. I felt comfortable trying on wedding gowns and they were very helpful in finding gowns that were similar to what I was looking for. We had a fabulous experience at Nolte's. We almost cancelled the appointment once we learned that many of their line of dresses were beyond our price point. After speaking to one of their bridal consultants, they assured us that they had a wide selection of dresses to choose from and they would not show us anything outside of our price point, so we decided to keep the appointment.

Before going to Nolte's, I had visited another bridal boutique and fell in love with a dress there. I was pretty sure I was not going to find anything that would compare with that first dress, but I decided to honor the appointment.

Upon arrival, our personal bridal consultant greeted us warmly and shortly after Mr. Nolte himself stopped by to introduce himself and welcomed us to his salon. He also introduced to us his wife and daughter who help manage the salon.

Our bridal consultant was very knowledgeable in understanding the style of dress I was looking for and she kindly brought dresses to and from the dressing room. However, nothing I tried on compared with that first dress. Not wanting to waste her time, I informed her about the dress I found at the other boutique. She asked me who the designer was and left the room for a brief period only to come back with both Mr. and Mrs. Nolte who made my dreams come true by letting me know that they could get me the same dress for less than the other salon. Plus, they could guarantee the delivery of the dress 1 month sooner.After such a pleasant experience of picking out the perfect bridal gown for me, we decided to look for a Mother of the Bride dress for my mom. We found a gorgeous dress for her. After ordering her dress, Mr. Nolte came out to personally congratulate us with a Champaign Toast!

Thank you Nolte's Bridal! Happy to say I Finally Found My Dress!

I had been searching for awhile with my mom and I tries on A LOT of dresses. Most just were boring and over done or they were super pretty but the poor quality of the dress did not match the price tag.
I am so happy that I decided to try my luck at Nolte's Bridal. I was lucky enough to have Mr. Nolte as my stylist/ bridal consultant and I had so much fun! He knows the bridal industry well and his years of experience working with brides was very apparent. I was shopping by myself , which was hard, but Mr. Nolte let me take my time - Most shops would have rushed me out of the shop and told me to make a another appt. I truly appreciate the patience they had with me when I was making my decision to purchase the dress! And since ordering my dress they have been responsive to any questions I have had.
! If you are a bride and looking for a not so standard dress I would highly recommend Nolte's Bridal! & as an added bonus they have in house alterations which makes things a lot easier! I truly love my dress - it is unique, fun- yet sophisticated and in my budget!

I found my perfect dress at Nolte's. Mr. Nolte listened to what I was looking for and found it with the first dress he had me try on. The service was so personal and intimate. I had my own private room for viewing that allowed enough room for my mom, mother-in-law, grandma, and two bridesmaids. My Rosa Clara gown only took 5 months to come in once ordered and it was almost a perfect fit. Only $100 in alterations required. Candy Wilkins did all my alterations. She is fast and knows what she is doing! I also found my veil at Nolte's they custom ordered it so that it would be long enough for my cathedral length train. I am so glad that I went to Nolte's for my bridal experience! I could not have asked for anything better. If you are looking for an intimate, truly personal bridal experience look no further than Nolte's. He even sent me a thank you note the next week! I love Mr. Nolte!

I am from the KC area and recently moved out of state. Our wedding is in Kansas City and so I wanted to get my dress from there too...I had scheduled appointments at a few different bridal boutiques, but Noltes was the first one to go to. I loved that when I called to make my appointment, Michael Nolte asked me a bunch of questions about what I was looking for in my wedding dress. (None of the other boutiques asked me this) When we got there he asked me a few more questions and literally the first dress he had me try on was THE DRESS! I tried on lots after the first one that were similar, but he knew spot on what would look best on me. I have heard of him being able to do this before with other people, but I was very impressed and highly recommend him to anyone shopping for dresses.

After a bad experience with a different bridal store, which left me with no dress 5 months out from my wedding, I called Nolte's after doing some research and finding that they were the only store to sell the designer I loved (Rosa Clara). Frantic because I wasn't sure I could find a dress that I truly liked and get it shipped in time for alterations and the wedding, I called Nolte's to make an appointment. They got me in that day, and even had my size in a style that I liked in stock (most stores carry 10-12, which makes it difficult to really know how the dress will fit if you're smaller). Michael and his staff were professional, caring, and clearly know what they're doing. They made what had originally been an extremely stressful and frustrating experience into a positive one, and I would highly recommend them.

My sister and I decided to go Veil shopping one morning. I had heard about Nolte's Bridal. I called them and they set me up an appointment for that day. I was actually running a little behind , I called them and I asked if I could be thirty minutes late, which they had no problem with. When we walked through the door we were greeted by a well dressed very polite Mr. Nolte. I explained to him that we were having a 1920's Speakeasy themed Wedding and everyone would be dressed for as if they were from the 1920's. He stated " Oh! How fun!!" I was excited that he was excited!! I told him I was wearing my grandmother's 1930 dress and needed a veil to match it. And that I possibly would like a second party dress for the evening. He was excited to design my veil and then went to the back to grab some dresses he thought might meet my theme idea. Out came this beautiful whimsical flapper dress I couldn't say no to!!! It was everything I wanted and was looking for at every other dress shop and no one could actually in vision what I had in my head for my wedding. So for my Wedding, I will wear Mr. Nolte's magnificent dress and my Grandmothers for my party dress. If you want something that defiantly will be your own and not seen at any other wedding, SHOP HERE!! This was the most pleasant, professional, personable wedding shop I have ever been to. Thank you so much Mr. Nolte for making a Wedding Day my own!!! My Fiancée will be thanking you in a year!

I highly recommend Nolte’s! I was not sure what to expect when I started to shop for wedding gowns. From all I had seen and heard, I just didn’t want to deal with nonsense. Mr. Nolte helped me with my appointment and upon entering he was very pleasant. He was very honest and stuck with my budget. He picked styles that looked good with my body shape . I had a WONDERFUL experience from start to finish at Nolte's Bridal. We were greeted with champagne at the door and were taken care of at all times - from the first dress, to the appointments, to the alterations - my experience was OUTSTANDING. The quality of all the dresses some of the most high end and they have price ranges for lots of different budgets. I got my flower girl dress there and my beautiful veil. Mike Nolte has been the wedding planner for two of my daughter's, (Amy and Rebecca), weddings. He also was the one who helped the girls with choosing a wedding dress as well as the bridesmaids dresses as well as mine and the flower girls dresses. So when our 3rd daughter, Ashley, became engaged we decided to travel to Kansas City to see Mike. She had been a flower girl in Amy's wedding so she was familiar with Mike Nolte. As soon as we arrived, Mike was there to start the process. His expertise and relaxed way helped Ashley to trust his judgement. A day that could have been stressful turned into a special day for Ashley. The first dress was the one chosen. He knew exactly what would be the right dress for her and he was right! As soon as he set the veil on her head....she saw the vision and tears fell. For all of us. It was a magic moment. I am so grateful for Mike's ability to make this day one of ease and fun for Ashley. You get what you pay for - and with Nolte Bridal - I got whole lot more!
My daughter bought her wedding dress at another boutique and had a 'good' experience. I bought my MOB dress from Nolte's, My daughter and I both agree - I had an 'exceptional' experience. I don't give 5.0 ratings lightly, but in this case I would give sixes. Alison, Candie and Michael were exceptional in providing no-nonsense professional service. If time is money, they saved me a lot of both.
After a brief discussion of my priorities, likes, dislikes and budget, I was quickly presented with a smart selection of options - all hitting my criteria. I appreciated Alison's keen insights and not just being a yes person to make a sale. Within half an hour, I confidently had selected the dress I has spent countless outings searching for. Once the dress arrived, the alterations process was impeccable and brief.
This is a good old fashion bridal and event dress boutique with specialty artisans who know the business and take pride in their talented work. The shops ambiance is warm, welcoming and all about you.

Wedding day, I was confident in my dress, received countless compliments and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being a MOB. Thank you Nolte's - you have my referral!

Alison at Nolte's bridal was wonderful to work with. I had gone to 4 other stores and just could not find that perfect dress. I felt very special at Nolte's bridal they were professional and fun. I was so thankful to find my dress in my budget. They are a high end store and my budget was at the low end of what they carry but they didn't make me feel bad about that or try talking me into a more expensive dress, which I really appreciated. I can't say enough good things about Nolte's bridal! And they dresses are beautiful! You will not be disappointed!

The staff at Nolte’s Bridal is both professional and personal. They realize their work is an art. I found my wedding gown there after visiting four other shops. But Nolte’s Bridal has helped me with so much more. They helped me think through bridesmaid dresses (which I ordered through them at 20% off), veils, earrings, shoes and more. My mom also bought her dress there on sale for 50% off and it too is beautiful. Mr. Nolte even recommended venues in my hometown. The staff treated me like I was their most important customer, yet spoke with the knowledge and expertise from their years of experience. Visit them!

I've had an incredible experience with Michael Nolte and his staff thus far. In addition to being one of the ONLY stores that carries dresses by the man who designed my dream dress (Stephen Yearick), every person I came in contact with during my initial experience there - from Emily on the phone to Michael himself fitting me in the dress - was wonderful. Michael is passionate about everything wedding related, and was able to advise us on things beyond dress-shopping while we were in the store. I live in Omaha, but the drive to KC was well worth it!

From the very start, my experience at Nolte's was amazing. From the receptionist that answered the phone to book the appointment to Michael himself helping us with my bridal gown fitting, everything went effortlessly. These people know the bridal gown industry! Michael was just amazing, knew exactly what I wanted even when I didnt know how to put it into words. Nolte's Bridal went above and beyond for me. After months of searching for the perfect gown in my own city, I found THE dress online but no one in my city carried the designer. I found several bridal stores in Kansas City that carried the beautiful line. The first place I called couldn't give me much information and after taking my name and number, never got back to me on whether they could get a sample of the dress for me to try on. When I emailed Nolte's, Michael responded to me within a couple hours that it was no problem. I called the shop and spoke with Emma Lea and got scheduled for a fitting a couple weeks later. There was a near kerfuffle with getting the sample in time, but Nolte's did everything they could to make sure it made it in for my out of town appointment.

The whole family at Nolte's was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They let me take my time making the decision. Finally, everyone at Nolte's was completely open and accepting of my family and fiance, who also happens to be a lady. After experiencing quite a bit of rejection and/or lack of enthusiasm for what I was looking for in a dress, Nolte's came through in a big way. I can't wait to get my gown in.

If you are looking for expert advice, an honest opinion, an a truly unique dress that no one else will have, Nolte's is the wedding gown destination for you!! (Not to mention the MANY perks they offer along with purchasing your dress like in house alterations). Nolte's takes gown shopping and the wedding experience to a level that exceeds any other in Kansas City. Nolte's was the 3rd dress shop I had shopped at. Truthfully, I had fallen in love with another dress (ball gown) at another store, but it was important that I kept an open mind and tried on a lot of styles. A dress with a completely different silhouette caught my eye, and I ended up purchasing it!! The gown is STUNNING! Mr. Nolte came into my appointment and he was very polite and listened to different thoughts and ideas I had regarding the veil and dress. We were on the same page 100% which was the most amazing feeling. He offered great suggestions even beyond the dress, which will really be helpful in completing the wedding planning process. I can't wait to take my bridesmaids into Nolte's for their dresses and accessories!

Love Nolte's Bridal! I didn't know much about them until I went dress shopping with my cousin a couple of years back. But even then I knew that when it was my turn to go wedding dress shopping that Nolte's was first on my list. They are helpful from the very beginning, even before your appointment. I had a scheduling conflict come up last minute and they were more than accommodating to change my appointment and get me in the same morning. I fell in love with the FIRST dress I tried on! Everything is so intimate and special from the very beginning. You know that you are getting one on one personal service from some of the best in Kansas City! I never felt pressured to make a decision and they made sure that I was happy with every detail before signing on the dotted line! Besides the amazing wedding dress options at Nolte's they have so much more to offer! I have had a great time attending Mr. Nolte's Wedding Planning 101 seminars and he helped me in ordering my wedding invitations which turned out better than I could have ever imagined (and stress free too)!! Mr. Nolte and the team at Nolte's Bridal helped us choose the most beautiful wedding gown, mother of the bride gown, flower girl dress and bridesmaid dresses that perfectly fit our wedding theme and overall look.

The best decision we made was hiring Mr. Nolte to coordinate the wedding. He took care of all of the details - coordinating with the caterer, photographer, cake person, all of the rental items, florist, etc. This left us to do all of the "fun" wedding things, like choosing what we wanted everything to look like.

His guidance and level of taste helped us create a wedding and reception that matched our style and kept with the theme we were going for. With Nolte's previous experience in the floral industry, he was able to help us select beautiful flowers and greenery, while staying within our budget.

The stress we saved throughout the whole engagement and especially rehearsal and wedding day, helped us and our family enjoy all of these events instead of stressing. Noltes Bridal is a place that makes you feel special when it comes to finding a dress on your special day. This is a store that takes there time and is not about the up sale they work with you to help you find what you want on your special day. I went into Nolte's Bridal yesterday and it was my last appointment of the day. We were running ahead of schedule so when my sister called to see if we could come in 30 minutes early, Michael answered and said absolutely. When I got there I began working with Brooke and she had another appointment come up so Michael stepped in to assist me. He listened so closely to the four things I had to have in my dream dress and immediately put me in the dress I ended up buying. His main goal was to make my four items of my dream into a reality and make sure that I look amazing in the dress. I could not be happier with my experience yesterday and I am so ready to put my dress back on! I would recommend this store to anyone looking for that unique dress that other brides will not have.

Today was my first day dress shopping and I found my dream dress at Nolte's. Mr. Nolte was full of wedding knowledge. He was quick and willing to give out his expert advice. The staff there are professional, did a great job listening to what I liked/wanted while balancing their expert knowledge of what styles look good on what heights and body types. Ultimately, they found me my perfect gown. When I expressed my disappointment about not having arm coverage they promptly brought out the seamstress to discuss/demonstrate potential options. I couldn't have had a better experience. Not to mention I won a FREE bridal gown!!

Just this week I went to Nolte's Bridal for my first experience trying on wedding gowns. I assumed I'd just be going in to get an idea for what I wanted however the first dress I tried on was the "one". Michael Nolte, the owner, dressed me and was so helpful and kind. He would give constructive reasons as to why one dress worked and another did not. I really appreciated having a professional opinion of the dress that went beyond just how I felt in the gown. I also did not feel overly pushed to purchase the gown the day of.

I am extremely satisfied with their impressive services.

I recently purchased my bridal gown at Nolte's Bridal. It was a fabulous and fun experience. The setting was relaxed and inviting. I felt like I was in the living room of my own home. Valerie the sales consultant, and Michael Nolte the owner, were very knowledgable and passionate about their work. Michael was very patient to hear my opinion first and offered his expert opinion about each gown and also advice for my wedding. I felt very comfortable and there was no hidden surprises and no pressure. Also, all alterations are done by his own tailor in house and your wedding gown is stored on site until you need it for the wedding. Overall, hands down this was above and beyond all other 4 bridal stores I visited.

I live in Texas and made a two hour drive to Nolte's Bridal while visiting my sister in Kansas. I had visited one other bridal store before going to Nolte's Bridal and was slightly discouraged with the finding the dress process. From the time I walked in Mr. Nolte and Donna were more than helpful. They helped me find my perfect dress and I couldn't be more excited to wear it on my wedding day. I purchased my wedding gown here for my March wedding. I had a style in mind, but after trying on that style at other boutiques, I didn't think it flattered my body. When I went to Nolte's I asked to try gowns that were more along the lines of my modified expectations for my gown. The sales rep. brought out a gown (designed by Mr. Nolte) that was right in line with my original wish for what my wedding dress would look like. Without me even telling her that's what I wanted! I tried it on, and this one actually fit and flattered my figure. Mr. Nolte came into the room and talked to me a bit about accessorizing and about the wedding. It was a really lovely experience. I highly recommend Nolte's when you're searching for the dress.

After having an awful experience at another local bridal store, I went to Nolte's over my lunch break only to browse. Mr. Nolte was there and suggested that I try a dress or two on to attempt to make the bitterness towards wedding dresses in general after the previous experience go away. He asked me a few questions and we spoke for 10 minutes about what I was looking for. The first dress I tried on was 100% the one, and exactly what I was looking for. Mr. Nolte's ability to listen to his customers, and interrupt the information into a dress is spot on! Since I was on my lunch break we decided that it was best to bring my mom back a few days later to get her approval. Needless to say when my mom came back with me she loved the dress also, and we purchased it. Also, a few days later I brought my bridesmaids back to Nolte's and purchased their dresses from Nolte's also. I am more than impressed with Nolte's, Mr. Nolte himself, and his staff. They know exactly what they are doing, and how to help their customers. I would without a doubt recommend Nolte's to anyone who was looking for wedding attire.

My daughter and I visited Nolte Bridal in August 2011 to purchase a wedding dress for her wedding in July 2012. The service was impeccable and the choices were numerous. Both Donna and Michael provided outstanding customer service from our very first visit in August 2011 until the wedding day in July 2012.
Not only did we purchase her gown and veil from Nolte Bridal, but Michael was also our wedding planner. Michael did a wonderful job guiding us through the entire wedding planning process. From assisting in ordering the invitations to steaming all eight bridesmaid dresses as well as the wedding dress and delivering them to our home on the wedding day, and every step in between, his knowledge and expertise enabled us to enjoy the process as well as the day. We did not loose any sleep hoping we would get everything done. Michael was very reassuring and always available to answer our questions. With the help of Michael Nolte and his entire staff at Nolte Bridal, the wedding day was truly a glorious day we will treasure forever.

In June, my daughter Lindsay/bride-to-be and I traveled from Minneapolis to shop for a wedding dress in Kansas City so that Grandma and a very special Aunt could join us to be a part of Lindsay's special day. My Mother had googled the locations of several bridal shops and made appointments for fittings. We had gone to 3 before the appointment at Nolte’s Bridal. Michael Nolte made the fitting appointment better than any of the others we had been to with his exceptional customer service, and made it a truly a special time that none of us will forget. We appreciated his welcoming and genuine style, sharing wedding ideas and suggestions every step of the way. Mr. Nolte, a designer himself, is outstanding in his knowledge of gown styles for the proper fit. We left Nolte’s Bridal with a Michael Nolte Design wedding gown, wishing he lived in Minneapolis to plan the rest of the wedding! Thank you, Michael!

Nolte's was the first bridal shop that I visited to try on dresses. I was a bit intimidated by their store because it looks so expensive, but I knew that they had dresses in my price range because the prices were all listed right on the tags on each dress.

Donna was very warm and welcoming when my mom and I arrived. She let us look at the dresses that I wanted to look at and based on my style, she also pulled some others that she thought I would like. She let me try on all types of sashes and belts and veils to see what the whole picture would look like.

After visiting a few other bridal shops, my mom and I were appalled at the low level of service that these other shops provided. They were either very pretentious, or they didn't seem to care about what I wanted at all. When I went to other places, I was not allowed to look at any dresses, they were all chosen for me, and there were no prices on any dress, so I had no idea if the owner was trying to over-charge me or not.

My mom and I ended up returning to Nolte's to buy the dress that I fell in love with. Michael was also very welcoming and talkative when I was there, and it just made the whole dress buying experience a lot more enjoyable, because we really felt that Michael and Donna cared about providing great customer service, and great products. I would definitely recommend Nolte's to anyone searching for wedding dresses or bridesmaids dresses.

I found the perfect dress at Nolte's Bridal. Mike, his store manager Donna and the entire staff made the experience delightful. I was thrilled to find a beautiful and unique dress that wasn't like anything I'd seen a hundred times in a bridal magazine. We only had a four month engagement and while some bridal salons in town refused to help us with our timeline, Michael & Donna made it all work and I never lost a moments sleep. They take such good care of their samples that I was able (at Donna's suggestion) to purchase the sample directly vs having to worry about ordering at all.

For my bridesmaids dresses Michael found a beautiful and elegant design that looked great on all of the ladies. The crowning touch was my first fitting where Michael created a one of a kind necklace to go with my dress that I never would have come up with myself. The veil he suggested had "just a little sparkle" and I ended up getting as many compliments on that as I did my dress. The entire experience was fun and stress free. I highly recommend a stop at Nolte's Bridal if you're looking for a special experience in wedding dress shopping.

Nolte's assisted me in finding the perfect dress for my daughter's wedding. Donna, the manager, was patient and accommodating as I tried on many dresses. She gave me all the time I needed to make a decision and I felt like I was her only priority. When I asked if she could order some lace for the back of the dress I bought (so it wouldn't be so revealing) she followed through and made sure I was satisfied with the dress I purchased. I was extremely impressed with the service I received.

I think they did an amazing job with helping me pick out my dress. My sister is from DC and My mom is from 6 hours away. They were only in town over the weekend to help me pick "The One" Thats a lot of pressure, and we started bright and early at other bridal shops. And I just got from the beginning I felt like the others just wanted the the money and didn't care about putting my in a dress that was perfect for me. So Noltes was the 4th bridal store, that day and I was just sweaty kind of feeling down about not find a perfect dress yet. And I explained to the consultant was I was looking for and she brought in quite the collection as well as a few that I wouldn't pick for myself. The great thing about this place is that my family was able to be in the room with me and I was just behind a curtain so I wasn't having to prade myself around to others in the shop. Well the third dress I put on, and It was just okay, but than she suggested a rhinestone belt to it. And once that was one. I knew it was the one. It was perfect!!!!!!! It was amazing that she noticed what would be great on me and wasn't pushy! And from that day on, i got our bridesmaides dresses there, and everytime I walked into the store they knew me by name! Awesome, they made me feel very special!

I had a great experience at Nolte's. I did not have an appointment and had just come from a different bridal shop feeling discouraged after 2 hours of trying on dresses as I just couldn't find what I was looking for my second wedding. At Nolte's, I selected a few special occasion dresses and was shown into a nice, roomy dressy room with a large mirror and good lighting. The young sales gal quickly picked up on what i was looking for, made a few suggestions that were spot on, shoes, accessories, everything. It was a great experience. I recommend the shop for an intimate and personalized experience.

This was such a wonderful experience! I went Nolte's on 2 separate occasions, the first time without an appt, the second time with one, and was treated with the same courtesy, respect, and enthusiasm during both visits. The first time I was simply looking for accessories for my reception dress which I had purchased elsewhere. Michael Nolte himself stopped what he was doing and devoted his whole attention to helping me look at options, regardless of the fact that I told him I was only looking that day.

This made such an impression, I made an appointment to come back and purchase an actual wedding dress for my ceremony. It was over the President's Day holiday weekend, and despite several businesses being closed, Nolte's was conveniently opened and giving me the once in a lifetime experience of being a bride. I loved it! Donna and her girls took great care of me, being ever so patient as I tried on at least 10-15 dresses, and of course, the last one was the magic moment. They even made the wonderful suggestion that I buy the sample since it fit so well and would help with keeping my dress and alterations all within budget.

I still have a couple more things to buy and will definitely be revisiting the store to make sure I have all my jewelry and accessories! My mother is even hoping to go back to buy her attire ;-)

I called and let them know I was going to come on a certain Saturday afternoon, and when my maid of honor and I got there they were very helpful in choosing dress possibilities. Also I am a very picky person so the fact that I literally had over 20 dresses to try on did not bother them at all. The girls Donna and Shelby took me back to the fitting room to try the dresses on. It is the prettiest princess room! Huge mirrors, comfy, and a special curtain so you can get dressed secluded. It was one of those really " good days : D " . We found my veil, dress, petticoat, and they gave me the most beautiful gold sash. My father called to set the deal that afternoon and Donna was so sweet to him as well! He was very impressed.

I purchased my bridal gown, bridesmaid dresses, and flower girl dress from Nolte's. The dresses were exactly what I was looking for -- and I probably stopped by every bridal salon in town doing thorough research before making my final decision. The staff members were all friendly, understanding, and accommodating.

Ashley from Nolte's Bridal is one of the best bridal salespeople in KC! She is upbeat and energetic. I was told at a competitor's bridal salon that there was no dress for me. Ashley helped prove that salon wrong! She went above and beyond and worked with the vendor to have a gown from a new collection shipped in from a photo shoot for me to try on. That dress ended up being the dress. Thanks to Ashley and the staff at Nolte's for their wonderful service.
