NY Edge made the night!

Rich and the band got exactly what we wanted, including incorporating Persian music, and they made it happen. The band can just flat out play. They rocked out and danced with us all night! Exactly what we wanted! Couldn't recommend them more. The planning was so helpful and it was executed to perfection.

Fantastic Experience

For a once in a lifetime fantastic experience book New York Edge. Everything they talked about previous to the wedding came to fruition. The repertoire included our taste and also fed the entire room. Our friends were thrilled and our parents and their friends were thrilled. We could not have made a better choice.

Great communication, very interactive, very fun

Rich and his team were incredible. We spoke with rich quite a few times before the big day which was great, we got all the details done early which took so much pressure of on the wedding day. Rich made sure to follow our recommendations and our no play list.
Everyone was out on the dance floor the whole time. Excellent band definitely recommend to anyone in the New York area!!

AMAZING wedding band!!

I cannot say enough good things about Rich and his band!!! My partner and I both LOVE to dance and really wanted a fantastic live band. Rich and his team were EVERYTHING we wanted and more!! We had so many people who texted us specifically saying the band was incredible and my parents who are really not at all into dancing were on the dance floor and afterwards told me they finally understood why having a live band was a million times better than a DJ. We danced and sang so hard I lost my voice for three days! We had a blast!

We couldn't have asked for a better day or party! New York Edge just crushed it! Rich’s professionalism and attention to detail made us feel so at ease during the whole planning process and he really knows how to keep the dance floor filled. Fantastic experience!

When we first spoke to Rich I told him that all we really cared about was having a full dance floor and someone who could read the room and keep the crowd going and wow did he deliver! A dad’s perspective

A family affair

I’m a retired professional wedding band singer so I wanted the best. Got it with Rich and his band. Guests loved them! They accommodated our family of musicians by having us join them for some special songs which made the occasion of my youngest son’s marriage very special. He sat in on piano, my other son on guitar and vocals and I sang their first dance! The musicians were top notch, engaged with the guests and kept the whole night upbeat and fun. I would recommend them highly.

A great night with amazing energy!

I had the pleasure of experiencing New York Edge 8.5 years ago at my own wedding, and recently, they performed at my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding. To say they were incredible would be an understatement!

Rich is amazing!

Rich and his band just recently played at our wedding this April and they were beyond amazing! Rich is the nicest man and so easy to work with. He was able to incorporate some of our eclectic music requests seamlessly.

Throughout the reception, Rich and his team really were amazing. They basically never stopped playing and were great at reading the room to pick the music. So many of my guests absolutely raved about the band—they bring such energy to the reception! I can’t recommend them enough!

Wow, wow, wow! Rich and New York Edge were absolutely incredible. The number one thing people said to me during and after the wedding was how amazing the band was. They are musically so gifted but even more important is their ability to read the crowd. They come out into the crowd and keep the energy high and know exactly the right songs to play without hardly any input from me. They were SO easy to work with and went above and beyond for us. They even learned two songs for our processional at my request. You have to hire this band! They are so fun and made the wedding really too notch.

Life of the party!

Rich and the team were AMAZING!

He helped us plan out what we wanted, answered all our questions, gave us ideas, and was really easy to work with leading up to our wedding. When the day finally came we didn't have to worry about anything. Rich was on top of the timeline, coordinating with our other vendors, and would check in with us to make sure we were having a great time.

Our guests were dancing all night long and were having the time of their lives. The band came into the crowd, let us sing a few lines, and were the life of the party. Dozens of our guests came up to us at the end of the night and the morning after telling us that was by far the best wedding band they had ever seen in their life!

Would hire them again in a heartbeat, they're worth every penny, 10/10!

Absolutely Rocked Our Wedding!!!

Rich and the NY Edge Band rocked the house at our wedding! I had multiple people come up to me to say how great they were! Everyone was dancing the entire time and the room was absolutely electric! Best decision ever

10 out of 10 would get married all over again so that NY Edge can play at our wedding. We LOVED working with Rich and NY Edge. From the initial consultation to the run-through before the wedding, Rich was professional, knowledgeable, and made wedding music planning FUN. We had NY Edge musicians for the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and of course the reception, and they were PHENOMENAL. The reception was so seamless with Rich MCing the event and our guests were on the dance floor from the start to the finish. Every single person was out of the seat dancing and our guests came from all over the world! Our guests RAVED about the band all night long. The best band ever!

Rich and New York Edge are LITERALLY THE BEST BAND EVER. They were amazing to work with from the very beginning. And the wedding itself was so perfect and our guests had the best time ever. We all literally could have danced the night away - in my Mom's words "best night of my life". Everyone was beyond impressed with the string quartet, jazz trio and band. The compliments went on and on "best wedding ever".. "will the band come to England..." to name a few. Dancing and singing at the top of my lungs with all of our family and friends to "Empire State of Mind" will forever be one of the best and most memorable moments of my life.

Words cannot express how grateful we are. They delivered the best party and experience ever, and we are so thankful. I wish we could do it all over next weekend and the weekend after!

Simply the best!

New York Edge Music is the difference between a good band and a great band without equal. Individually, they’re insanely talented. As a group, they were simply unreal. They were able to bring even the most timid of wallflowers amongst our guests to the dance floor in what many thought would be an impossible feat. They were truly the life of our party and the night would not - and could not - have been what it was without them.

From the ceremony music and cocktail tracks to the reception songs and dancing set, everything was curated to perfection.

We want to thank Rich, the band lead who doubled as our MC, in particular for his patience and flexibility with our postponed-and-postponed-again celebration. Our wedding was originally scheduled for September 2020. Despite all the changes and challenges we were faced with over the last two years, Rich held us to the terms of our original contract and never passed on increased costs of inflation as I know many other vendors have. He accommodated our every request without complaint or hesitation and made the entire planning process as smooth and easy as can be.

To Rich and the entire New York Edge Music band, you guys are the real class act and we can’t thank you enough for putting us all in an Empire State of Mind and making it a night we’ll never forget!

Look No Further!!!

Stop your wedding band search right now, you have found the right group here. New York Edge is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I struggle to put into words how amazing our wedding was because of New York Edge. Rich and the Gang brought the energy all night long. They worked with us through the entire wedding process and were there every step of the way when we postponed due to Covid.

The month or so before the wedding they were in constant contact about our day, what music we wanted, and the schedule of events of the day. They even worked with my wife to surprise me with an original song in the middle of the reception!

Even months after the wedding, every time we see friends and family they talk about how awesome the band was, and how it carried the energy throughout the night. Our guests would not get off the dance floor and the party was rocking all night long!!

They help make it the best night of your life!

BOOK THEM ASAP! My family, friends husband and I are still talking about this band. Rich and his talented NY Edge team are incredible! Let's start back in 2018 when I got engaged. When looking for a band, I wanted one that could perform songs anywhere from Frank Sinatra to Billy Joel to Rihanna, and sing it well. Seriously. NY Edge's performance videos stood right out to us and I emailed Rich for a meeting. The professionalism and responsiveness was impressive right from the start. My fiancé, mom and I met him and our meeting sealed the deal. Rich is incredibly friendly, professional, organized and talented. He showed us an astonishing amount of their repertoire and let us listen to bits of songs that I threw at him.... like Rihanna. We were stoked and signed the contract. Flash forward to 2020 and the pandemic. Our September 2020 wedding had to be postponed to September 2021 and Rich and his team were nothing but supportive and was on board to postpone with us.
Along the way, I decided I wanted to surprise my husband with a medley of songs I'd sing for him and learn to play on the ukulele. Then I wanted the band to come in for when I would sing "I Wanna Grow Old With You." When I told Rich about my idea, he was pumped and we set up a meeting. Rich helped me orchestrate the best surprise I could give my husband on our wedding day. The band sounded great and Rich and his team were awesome at helping me make it as smooth as possible. Rich also helped my husband and I fulfill all our and our parents requested songs. From playing a medley of Billy Joel songs for my dance with my dad, to playing Fireball by Pitfall when shots were passed around, to playing a medley of songs from Back to The Future for the Anniversary Dance, they were truly amazing and flexible with our numerous requests. Not to mention that their repertoire on the wedding day was diverse for both our friends and older guests, their musicianship and sound was spectacular, and they had the dance floor filled the ENTIRE NIGHT! I also want to mention that Rich also makes the best MC for your wedding. He's a great leader at keeping your gusts informed and especially great at coming over and checking in with my husband and I about the special events to follow. I hadn't seen that with other bands at other weddings I've attended.
I know this is a long review but I think it's necessary for everyone to know these important details so they can book this band that helped give my husband and I the BEST NIGHT OF OUR LIVES! Thank you Rich and the rest of the NY Edge Team!

Don't hesitate in booking!

Rich and his team were fantastic throughout our entire wedding process. We had 2 date changes due to COVID and he worked with us every step of the way. At our actual wedding, they sounded fantastic and kept the party going. They were so easy to work with and willing to learn new songs for our ceremony.

Amazing time with New York Edge!!!

New York Edge was so much fun at our wedding reception!!! Rich was awesome from the moment we met with him. He fully understood our taste, vibe and how we wanted the event to go. The party was so much fun - great music, high energy and kept everyone engaged in dancing. They also learned our first song for us by request which was really great and appreciated.

Best wedding band!!!

Absolutely flawless experience working with New York Edge! Rich was awesome and they really showed up to make our night one to remember. They get in with the crowd and get the party started and are so talented in what they do! Cannot recommend them enough! So so happy we went with them for our special day :)

Great experience

Rich worked with us plans changed during the course of the pandemic. What was to be a big wedding with the full band became a small outdoor affair with a quartet for the first half and Rich serving DJ for the second half. The music was spot on all around.

So accommodating as we constantly adapted to Covid

2020 was such a challenging year to have a wedding. We had to change our venue, guest list, and plans multiple times, but Rich and his team were flexible throughout. He would jump on a call with us at a moment's notice and always assured us that he could make adjustments as the situation changed. I honestly don't know what we would have done without him.

The band was great, the DJ was awesome, and Rich is an excellent MC. We've already recommended them to all of our friends.

You won’t find a better wedding band than New York Edge!

Rich and his band were amazing!!! Our guests danced the whole night and everyone was blown away by the music! Rich took the time to talk with us about our preferences and made sure we had everything we wanted! Best decision we made through the entire wedding planning process!!

Don't hesitate, just book!

I cannot recommend Rich enough! We were so excited to have him and the whole band play at the big wedding we planned for May 2020, but like many other couples, we had to make (multiple!) last minute changes due to covid. Rich was understanding, kind, creative, and went above and beyond to help us out. He turned on a dime and transformed our initial 230 person "dance party" wedding into a classy event for 25 people that was a mix of a quartet & DJing. He gives great suggestions and guidance, is professional and trustworthy, clearly loves what he does, and is just a genuinely good person. Rich, we're so bummed we didn't get to experience the full of the magic of your whole band, but what you created for us could not have been more perfect. Thank you!

The band that does it all

When I first met with Rich, he totally got my vision for the music and ambiance we were going for our wedding- and he nailed it. The band was super flexible in working with our budget and playing all our favorite tunes. They even worked with my brother to coordinate a song during our ceremony. The music is on point and the service is above and beyond- I couldn't recommend them more!

Unforgettable, Incredible!!

New York Edge was AMAZING!!!! This was the best night of our lives and Rich and team truly made it unforgettable. Great energy through the whole night, everyone was up and having an amazing time. So many friends and family approached us saying how incredible the bad was, and with a few more weddings in the family pipeline, I’m sure we’ll be doing some more dance sets with New York Edge in the future!

I set a very high bar and they absolutely delivered!

The moment I began wedding planning, I knew the band was the most important aspect to me. I made this clear to Rich. He played high-quality recordings of past performances and was so comfortable to speak with as he explained all options without being pushy. I also felt comfortable that he would be the MC of the reception. The day of the wedding left me speechless. He made the night flow and the band was simply incredible. From the first few songs, guests kept coming up to me asking where I found this band and if they played for celebrities and high-profile events. Could not have asked for a better experience. They made something I thought would be stressful into one of the easiest parts of the planning. Thank you Rich and crew for making the night truly unforgettable!

We couldn't stop dancing!

New York Edge was THE center of our wedding experience - they not only had truly amazing music, but went above and beyond smoothing over the timeline to make our wedding perfect. Every guest at our party - ages 8 to 84 - were all dancing through the night. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

Talented, energetic and fun!!

Look no further... New York Edge was the best decision we could have made for a wedding band!

They literally had the dance floor packed ALL night long from the very first song. They came right out into the crowd - the energy was fantastic and our guests kept coming up to us all night telling is how great the band was.. they are still talking about it !

We had about 260 people - from 10 years to 90 years old and everyone loved them! They even played a few live Irish songs for our big Irish family. We had seen New York Edge at our friend’s wedding and loved them and couldn’t wait for them to play at ours.

Rich - the band leader takes your wedding very seriously. we had some last minute additions and even changes to plans during the wedding and everything went seamlessly. They MADE the wedding and made it an Incredibly fun night. We even added on an 8th band member (horn) towards the end and we are SO happy we did!

Both my husband’s parents and mine are big into music and they couldn’t say enough about New York Edge. Bottom line- Every song they played was awesome.

Beyond incredible is an understatement!

THANK YOU SOOOOOO BEYOND MUCH FOR MAKING THE MOST INCREDIBLE NIGHT!! Every single person said how amazing the band was. Everyone loved how you guys came onto the dance floor and you were all giving it 150%! People noticed that there was music playing every second and you guys didn't stop once. The music selection was perfect!!! I loved every song you played! The music during the ceremony and cocktail hour was beautiful as well.

As for getting everyone out onto the dance floor - I couldn't have asked for anything more! Everyone was dancing and the floor was packed all night long which is exactly what we wanted. From the start we had a great feeling about your energy but you truly proved yourself on Saturday night! Everyone was dancing, even my 90 year old grandma :)

And the horah - WOW!!!! You gave Scott his horah that he dreamt of. People loved it! We all noticed how epic it was. It was definitely one for the books - long, fun, amazing, perfect music.. can't wait to see the video!

I also LOVED when we walked in and everyone made a path for us and for our first dance song everyone was around the dance floor. We loved how everyone surrounded us which is exactly what we wanted so thank you for doing that!!

Im already thinking about the next party we can have to use you guys - Scott said our kids bar/bat mitzvah but that's too far away haha

Rich, you were so easy and flexible to work with! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR FULLLLLY DELIVERING AND GIVING US THE BEST PARTY! People are still commenting weeks later about how we had the best band and trust me, my friends have seen top bands!

Exceptional!

NYE is fantastic! The band was such an important part of our wedding and they definitely delivered! Our guests were on the dance floor the whole night as the kept the energy level high with a diverse song list! Rich is incredibly well organized and as the MC helped us plan out the chronology of the entire evening. We also had some unusual requests like showing a video, for which they rented a projector for us, as well as DJing a Bollywood playlist for us. You really can’t go wrong with this very talented and cooperative band.

Amazing band!

New York Edge Music was AWESOME! Choosing them to perform at and emcee our wedding was one of the best decisions, and helped make our wedding an unforgettable, smoothly run and fun event. Our guests loved the band and were very impressed with Rich and his team. They sound AMAZING live (trust me, the samples on their website, which are good, do not serve justice to how they sound live) and in addition to playing awesome dance sets, they played our first dance song and my father/daughter song perfectly (which was important for us because we had choreographed / practiced dances). Above all, New York Edge Music is great to work with, and Rich is an amazing communicator who is very responsive, understanding, thoughtful and organized. As the emcee, he had a strong handle of the entire wedding schedule and was familiar with my venue (as he is with almost every major venue in NY!) and helped guide our day. Would highly recommend!!

Easy choice!

Honestly this review is SO OVERDUE (almost 11 months - embarrassingly), but I hope this review makes up for it!

My husband and I's most important vendor was definitely the band. We knew we wanted one and we spent WEEKS scouring the internet, youtube etc. to find the right fit. We got wind of New York Edge Music here on The Knot and we are SO grateful.

Over a year later we still have guest raving about how great the music was throughout the evening. The party did not stop and this band is no joke. They are the real deal and worth every penny.

We chose them because Rich just got "it". He was respectful of our choices (re: no play list!), but also was seasoned enough to tell us some choices that would only improve the atmosphere.

Two of our guests are actually using them for their own wedding this fall, because they fell in love with them at ours!

Run don't walk to book these guys, you will not regret it!!!!

Of course we built a great rapport with you ahead of the event, but nothing would’ve been able to allow our expectations to be completely fulfilled other than finally seeing your groups performance live last night. Rich is truly amazing. Some 10 years later, he personally attended to my private anniversary surprise dinner w wife (on top of Tribeca Rooftop) and played our wedding song over a glass of champagne! Purely Magic!

I first saw the New York Edge Band when I went to a wedding 10 years ago. I knew at that moment that when I got married, I would have them be my wedding band. When I (finally) got engaged, I called Rich and asked for their availability, and ensured that we booked every other vendor, including the venue, according to NY Edge's availability. I am so happy to say that they did not disappoint. My husband and I wanted to ensure that everyone was up dancing all night long, and Rich and the band did not disappoint. They have the ability to play a huge range of music, so there is something for everyone. They were absolutely amazing and add an energy to the party that is unparalleled. They were the key to our amazing wedding! Everyone is still raving about the band, and my mother still brings up my wedding at least once a day and says that she has never danced so much as she did at our wedding. We are so happy we chose New York Edge as our wedding band!! We had a large wedding with different age groups and they had EVERYONE on the dance floor! We had a New Year’s Eve wedding and it was important to us for it to be a party and they did not disappoint! The entire band was non-stop, high-energy, and extremely talented. Rich was very helpful throughout the planning process and made it easy to get everything organized. They did a wonderful job at our first dances and then knew the perfect songs to play throughout the rest of the night. Our guests continue to compliment us on the band (and express how tired they were after dancing all night)! New York Edge performed at our wedding on 9/2/17 at The Green Building in Brooklyn, and they were INCREDIBLE! If you love good music and dancing, NY Edge is your go-to band! We discovered them at a friend's wedding a couple years ago and it was the most fun wedding we'd been to, other than our own, and that is in large part because NY Edge is the best wedding band! They know how to read your audience, real crowd pleasers! Your guests won't want to sit, both young and old. We continue reminiscing the evening and will forever have such wonderful, FUN memories! On another note, working with Rich was a true pleasure! He made everything so easy when it came to our ROS and really helped us visualize our big day months in advance, which eliminated much worry. We didn't have a wedding planner, so his insight was greatly appreciated! Thank you, Rich and NY Edge! Wish we could do it all over again!

It was a pleasure working with Rich/NY Edge and we can’t thank you enough for making our day so special at Windows on the Water, Surfrider Beach Club. We loved seeing everyone dance! Our family and friends are still talking about the band. It was perfect. Also the special surprise of learning the Bruce song, really was amazing. Rich and the New York Edge Band were amazing! Their sound was incredible, and they can do such a wide range of music! Our family had lots of requests...some Italian, some top hits, some country...and Rich was able to make it all happen! Plus, he knew the perfect time to play each song so it flowed nicely throughout the night. The guests were up dancing all night long. People were telling us it's the best band they've heard. We could not have asked for a better band to play at our wedding!

We would like to say a big thank you to The New York Edge, our wedding band on 9/9/2017 at the Riverside Church in Manhattan. You are all so lovely and friendly which made us feel relaxed straight away and ready to enjoy our night. You listened to what we wanted and played a range of our favorite songs and great tunes which got everyone on the dance floor! The floor wasn't empty the whole night and people are still talking about you guys! It really was the best night, we can't thank you enough. We would highly recommend you and are forever grateful!

Rich and the band were fantastic and made the wedding the PARTY that it was.
Very responsive to our music choices... today's hits to classic Sinatra, also Rich sang in Italian (awesome Tarantella)...
our guests were blown away (many saying it was the best wedding they ever attended).
Good people and good fun. They have been playing together for years. We hired extra horn players and and additional singer to round out the sound.
Great person to work with and worked carefully to get all the pronunciations of our names right.

The NY Edge was incredible and we couldn’t be happier that we chose them to perform at our wedding. Everyone has been commenting on how awesome the band was. Both ourselves and our guests were on the dance floor the entire evening. Every song that they performed, whether new or old, got everyone up and dancing, and sounded amazing. The fact that the band was on the dance floor with us was so cool as well. They really got everyone involved. The whole night was so well organized, and went so smoothly! The coordination between the band and our venue was flawless. We went off of testimonials and reviews before initially meeting with the NY Edge, and I hope this one helps someone else choose them as well, because we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Rich and his band played at my sister and sister in law's weddings and again at our wedding this past weekend. They were amazing as always. I asked them to learn a special song for my walk down the aisle and it was perfect. We'd highly recommend them!

New York Edge Played our wedding this past October and couldn't have been a more amazing band adn entertainer! Rich, Shanti & the New York Edge -

What can we say?! The dust has settled, we have returned from our two week honeymoon and the last thing to do is thank you notes! From the minute we walked down the aisle, until the end of the night, you, Shanti and New York Edge set the tone of the wedding. The three piece trio was the perfect addition to the ceremony and cocktail hour. Once the party got started, it was a non-stop dance party. EVERYONE was up on the dance floor, singing, dancing (sweating their butts off!) and having a total blast! Friends and family keep telling us how amazing you all were and we are so thankful you were with us to create the perfect party to celebrate our marriage. You guided us through the chaos of wedding planning and we can't thank you enough! We enjoyed every minute of the night and we have you, Shanti and the New York Edge to thank! Your experience and knowledge when it comes to throwing a wedding was invaluable, not only as a band but as a vendor who has performed at thousands of events. Dear Rich,

A most heartfelt thank you to you and your wonderful New York Edge. Blerta’ s and Zach’s wedding was a delight, made all the more so by your eclectic song choices, your high energy performances, and the fact that everyone, from the time the music started until many hours later, simply did not sit down and danced all night!

When the planning started for the wedding, we knew we needed a special band that could bridge the music gap between millennials and baby boomers, and you pulled that off without a hitch. You were all terrific!

Definitely choose NY Edge for your band! Rich was super responsive and worked very closely with us on the type of music we wanted and gave us suggestions when we couldn't decide. We had so much fun with them at our wedding! All I've heard from friends and family is how much fun they had. The music was great; I don't think anyone stopped dancing the entire night! We especially liked how they watched the crowd and adjusted the music to keep everyone on the dance floor. Having Rich interact, dance and sing along with everyone made the night even more fun! You could tell it was a good night when the lights came on the guests started chanting "one more song!"

“Oh, What a Night.”

Just sitting at our local ale house after a long day of reliving the great evening and talking to friends and family. We were so happy with everything last night, music at the ceremony, cocktail hour trio and then, the band totally rocked the party at The New York Botanical Garden. The evening flew by. Friends and family alike raved about the music, the spirit and we couldn't be happier. Thank you so much Rich and Shanti; I can barely think let alone type coherently, but couldn’t let another day go by without sending kudos your way. Rich, you promised to read the crowd and make it happen and you did. We didn’t need to worry about the playlist, the timeline or anything. When you have the right professionals, it makes all the difference. And you know, Marty and I had so much fun. We would have been dancing all night, but had to pay a little attention to the guests. We do love a good party and New York Edge delivered!

To Rich and the band: You guys killed it!! Thanks so much for an amazing performance at our wedding! We're on our honeymoon now reminiscing about our perfect day and you guys really made it the best wedding we could have ever hoped for. We knew we wanted a band that could play top 40's and New York Edge delivered. We hired two soul singers in addition to the female vocalist to really get that full sound we were looking for. Rich and Shanti,

As the father of the bride, and this being my 3rd and last wedding. I have had time to reflect on what an important and integral part of our day New York Edge was. As I said, this was my third child to get married and we saved the best for last. (Wish you could have been at the other two). The music was was outstanding, the selections were outstanding, the interaction with the guests on the dance floor was outstanding. But, here is the part that separates you from the other bands. You listen, you communicate with all parties involved. In the preliminary meetings you try to understand all the likes and dislikes of the wedding couple and the guests attending. You tailor it so well, orchestrate the timing, and sequence of the night.

Here, is the astounding part which I think separates you from the rest. When the reception begins, best laid plans can go awry, but your constant communication during the event keeps everyone abreast of what is happening, what will occur next. As the father of the bride I found this attribute to be outstanding because it is so easy to get caught up in the night.
